Law & Order: SVU - First Date + First Kiss (Preferences)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Alex Cabot, Casey Novak, Liz Donnelly, Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun
Warnings: None
Word count: +1000
Alex Cabot
Tumblr media
- The blonde quickly pulls herself together, trying to mask the confusion of feelings and the shock of seeing you after so many years without any contact, failing miserably. She feels a little lost, not knowing how to act, slightly out of it. And continues like this for the next few weeks, even showing up almost every day at the bakery until finally getting up the courage to ask you out to dinner. It's a fancy restaurant, at a table away from curious eyes and the atmosphere is pleasant, you talk about your lives so far, between laughs, wine and an occasional physical touch, like hands accidentally crossing, her touch on your back as you get up from the chair, pinky fingers so close as you walk along the sidewalk that one can feel the warmth of the other. Alex insists on taking you home, you stop in front of the apartment door and both smile nervously. "I missed you." She whispers, tucking a stubborn lock of hair behind your ear. "No more than I missed you." You stare at each other for a few seconds and ADA leans in, asking permission with her gaze to continue, then you nod, joining your lips in a gentle and needy kiss, full of emotion, longing.
Casey Novak
Tumblr media
- It was no surprise when, in the middle of dinner, Casey's phone rang and she was forced to run after some judge to get warrants, she had barely touched the food, nor had you, both immersed in a fun and spontaneous flirting. The following week she's waiting for you in the lobby of the precinct with a box of your favorite dessert, which was mentioned at dinner, and a mysterious proposal. She takes you for a apparently directionless walk until ending up at a softball practice cage, no one else there, all the equipment waiting. Her words are patient, hands soft around your waist, body warm and slightly sweaty behind yours as her fingers wander up the forearm to put hands together and teach you how to use the bat, it's almost too much, all the sensations and little things the ginger provokes without even realizing it. "Good shot, sugar." She celebrates happily when you hit one target, proud of the result of hard work, and lifts you, twirling in the air, faces coming closer and you kiss as if it were the right thing to do, it's deep and passionate, all the tension built up over weeks expressed in one act.
Liz Donnelly
Tumblr media
- Another night spent working late, it's become a kind of routine you've started to get used to. Long nights full of paperwork, words that start to blur together in a few hours and a dozen cups of coffee, sometimes energy drinks. The last folder has been checked and the notes reviewed, when the knock on the door wakes you up, surprised, as the building seemed empty except for the security team. "You know it's 1am, right?" Liz smiles, entering your office, a bottle of whisky and two glasses in hand "I thought you might need these." And offers one of them, a little fuller because she knows it's necessary. Hours pass without either of you noticing, the bottle is half full and you're both on the floor, high heels thrown on the carpet, messy hairstyles and trivial conversations. "So, Cabot and you...?" She asks suggestively. "Oh, no, no, actually... she's my sister." The woman is clearly surprised, you expect some kind of negativity, maybe a little suspicion, but she just smiles and approaches. "Great!" Closing the distance with a half-drunk, slow and sensual kiss.
Olivia Benson
Tumblr media
- Board game days become a bi-weekly program between you, the two families start to meet often and a bond quickly forms, not unexpected considering how close your children are, like flesh and blood. The kids have fun in friendly competitions and eat snacks, sometimes preferring to play in the garden or watch random cartoons until they fall asleep. This time it's different, the pair went to a sleepover, you opened a bottle of wine, sipping it between relaxed conversations, a nice meal and close to midnight you're still awake. "Finally some time for the moms." She raises her glass and knocks on yours to toast the break, you both love your children, but they seem to be plugged in 24/7. "And without having to watch Trolls, I've memorized all the songs." You mumble, drinking the rest of the wine and snuggling up on the sofa, the woman unconsciously rests her arm on the headboard, touching your shoulder, both smile and try to pay attention to The Golden Girls. Almost impossible to do when long fingers wander over your bare skin, the genuine laughter and the magnetism that leads you to stare at her, enchanted. Eyes meet, breaths become heavy and you stop fighting the urge to finally kiss Olivia.
Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
- Her presence is very pleasant, bringing some kind of comfort to your tiring work days and boring shifts, there are delightful conversations when the restaurant is almost empty, occasionally she even makes a witty joke. As a result, you've become good friends, despite all the differences, from personality, age to social class. Bonds are created in the small details, maybe in the kind and gentle way she treats you, how she pays attention to the almost insignificant things you've left hanging in the air during a conversation, proof of which is the limited edition of your favorite book she brings to one of the dinners. Inside is a card with an address, a time and telling you to meet her there. So you do, wearing one of your favorite outfits and silently praying to be appropriate, in the end it doesn't matter much, she has prepared a candlelit dinner in the botanical garden, just you two, the nature and the stars. "I really enjoyed our night, it was lovely." You whisper and play nervously with the hands. "And what about me?" Rita teases, stopping walking, and you blush nodding positively. She tries to say something more, but is interrupted by your lips on hers in a clumsy impulse, there's a doubt in the air, answered by her hands on your waist pulling you in to deepen the passionate kiss.

Christmas Admirer
Tumblr media
Elizabeth Donnelly x reader warnings: language, argument, minor stalking. Look! I did a thing! Thank you for the ko-fi and the request!! I hope this lives up to expectations lol. Covers the "fight before xmas" square for bingo. I'm slowly getting back into it y'all! I wanted to get a lot more done for bingo but I hate to admit I don't think I'm gonna get much done, which sucks. I still have the creative spurts but I think I'm so wrapped up in NCIS that other characters have fallen down the list lol. I'll do my best to get the more developed ideas out for bingo! Love y'all!
The first time it happened, you didn’t think a thing about it. Liz always had new staff in the early fall, clerks, paralegals, assistants, secretaries, baby prosecutors that you hadn’t met yet. Those who had graduated college and wanted some on the job experience before law school, those who had graduated law school and were killing time before being able to write the Bar. There was never a shortage of strange faces around Hogan Place, so you breezed through the halls with no worries, a handful of files tucked under your arm and two coffees balanced in your hand as you approached her office door.
“I wouldn’t!” The voice rang out from the desk situated outside of Liz’s office and you stalled in your steps, letting out a small laugh.
“I’m sure it’s fine. She’s expecting me.”
“That was probably before she found out Anderson lied about having a warrant.” The man winced slightly and you let out a sigh right before Liz’s voice boomed through the glass, clearly upset and about to tear Anderson a new one.
“Guess so.” You dropped down into a chair opposite the man’s desk, placing the coffees down on it, files on your lap as you tugged out your phone. “This the only headache she’s had to deal with today?”
“Aside from the damage control that’ll go along with it, I think so.”
“Great.” Your head tilted back as you let out a groan, there went your dinner plans.
You didn’t catch it, the way his eyes were lingering on you, examining the folders in your lap, recognizing them as legal ones, an NYPD logo stamped on the second one in the pile just peeking its way out. How he was putting together that you were in the legal field, but no badge or gun meant you weren’t a cop. How casual you were in the space meant you’d been here plenty of times before. His gaze dragged up your body, watching your hand reach out for your coffee cup, nearly frowning that you were using your right, your left hidden under the pile of files and he’d have to resort to a verbal tactic to figure out more.
“How long has Anderson been in there?” You asked, swallowing down your coffee.
“Oh, uh? Only a few minutes before you got here.” He replied, “I could always take a message Mrs…?”
You barked out a laugh, turning toward him with a grin on your face, “please, it’s Ms. Parker.” He stuck his hand out over his desk and you took it, shaking while he smiled.
“Thomas, it’s nice to meet you.”
Your eyes surveyed him for a minute, flicking around the room before you spoke, “you got a nice looking name plate,” you gestured to the desk, “you’ve either been here a while or you’re planning on it.”
“Hoping to be.” He shifted in his chair, sitting more upright, “figured this was the best way to save up for law school.” He laughed awkwardly, “not that I’m freshly graduated or anything, I just didn’t figure things out right away, you know?”
“I do.” You laughed, glancing back towards Liz’s door where you could barely hear Anderson stammering along as she continued to lecture him.
“She always this intense?”
“Depends.” You picked up your coffee, taking another swig, “but Anderson… he’s annoying. He’s one of those ones that has an excuse for literally everything and none of them are valid. He’ll never own up to his actions or accept the consequences and shit like that pisses her off even more. If this case sinks, he’s done for.”
A small pause in the conversation while you both tried to eavesdrop and ignore the argument on the other side of the office wall before he spoke again, “sounds like you’ve known Donnelly a while.”
“Five years, give or take.” You replied, picking up your coffee again.
Though it was the last two that were the most significant, a year of back and fourth flirtation whenever you ran into each other until Melinda practically dragged you to some gala she was forced to attend and one thing led to another and confessions of true feelings were whispered into the night. You’d never expected to fall in love with someone like Liz and you’d definitely never thought someone like her would fall in love with you, yet here you were.
“Bet you know all the best ways to make it into her good books.” Thomas practically teased and you laughed.
“Work hard, pay attention, be ready on your feet and up to date as you can be on any open or upcoming cases. She’s big on loyalty, don’t let her catch you fraternizing with the enemy or sweet talking other departments or firms. If you’re thinking about switching jobs, let her know up front and she’ll give you the glowing recommendation you deserve, but if you do it behind her back, your options will be limited. Don’t be a suck up, but on a really bad day, the shrimp scampi from Forlini’s is a life saver,” you were suddenly cut off as the door flew open and Anderson came scurrying by without bothering to stop and you glanced back to Thomas, “and her coffee order is an Americano or drip with two packets of sweetener.” You picked up the untouched coffee, placing it down directly in front of him as you stood from your seat, “but I have a feeling she doesn’t need any more adrenaline boosts today and you just might.” You shot him a wink before scooping up your own coffee and stepping towards Liz’s ajar door, knocking on the frame.
“What?” She snapped as you pushed it open, offering her a warm smile and she let out a sigh from where she sat behind her desk, “sorry.”
“No need.” You swung the door shut behind you, moving through the room.
“What’re you doing here?” She asked softly, hand reaching out to squeeze at yours as you perched on the side of her desk.
“Had lunch with Sophie.” You shrugged, dropping the pile of files into her inbox, “figured I’d save her the ten minute drive.”
“One of these days you’re going to remember you’re a writer and not my assistant.” She teased as you leant down to steal a kiss.
“Speaking of…” you glanced behind you to the closed door, “you’ve got a new one.”
“He’s competent so far.” She sighed, leaning back in her chair, “unlike fucking Anderson.” You laughed, squeezing at her shoulder.
“He’s been in the hotseat for nearly a year, it’s about time they let him go.” You frowned slightly, “but I am guessing this means our dinner plans are off?”
Liz let out a heavy sigh, pinching at the bridge of her nose as she muttered “this is why I hate this job sometimes.” She glanced up at you, “yes.” Taking both of your hands in hers she smiled at you, “but that doesn’t mean I won’t spoil you. You go home, I’ll send dinner to your place, dessert too, and probably another million little gifts.”
“Liz, you really don’t have to.” You giggled, leaning down to kiss her.
“No sweetheart, I really do. We made these plans a while ago and I know how much you were looking forward to them.”
“Alright,” you slid off her desk, “fine. I’ll accept delicious, free dinner and treats but you better send me a picture of your dinner too, even if it’s in your office. I need you to not forget to eat.”
“And you really think you don’t take care of me?” She grinned up at you and you giggled again when she pulled you back to her for another kiss, “thank you for understanding.”
“Always.” You smiled, “and hey, don’t be too hard on that kid out there, he doesn’t seem so bad.”
“As long as he’s not Anderson.” She replied with an eye roll and you pulled the door open with a laugh, shooting a wave and a smile to Thomas as you sped through the office, leaving the room fast enough that you missed the way he ducked his gaze and his cheeks flushed pink.
**
The second time it happened, you were none the wiser, more focussed on getting your daily tasks done through the first snowfall of the year.
“God it is freezing out there.” You grumbled, letting out a little shiver as you shook the snow off your shoulders, “hope you guys have the heat on.” You reached out, placing a coffee cup down on Thomas’ desk.
“Got a portable one under my desk.” He replied with a slightly bashful smile.
“Good.” You shot him a wink, wrapping your hands around your own coffee and letting out a warm sigh.
“If it’s that cold out you should really have gloves on.”
“I know.” You groaned, rolling your eyes, “my friend’s dog chewed through my last pair this weekend, haven’t gotten around to a shopping trip yet.”
“She doesn’t give you any time off?” He asked with a frown, nodding toward Liz’s door and you laughed.
“She’s not my boss.” You tugged around in your purse for a moment, pulling out a business card, “I write kid’s books… well, primarily. I’ve been known to dabble into true crime too.”
He took the card from you, studying it for a minute before looking back up at you, “oh, that’s really cool. And… wildly different departments.”
You laughed, smiling softly at Thomas, “yeah, I guess they balance each other out well enough. Gotta splash some colour in that drab, cruel world, ya know?”
“Yeah.” He twirled the card around in his fingers, placing it down next to his cup of pens, “I’d love to pick your brain about it.”
“Really?” Your smile widened, taken aback by someone showing genuine interest into what you spent your time doing.
“Yeah. I’ll even buy you a drink, or a coffee, for your time? Tonight?”
“I can’t tonight.” Your nose scrunched and Thomas thought it was the cutest thing he’d seen all month, “got a thing. Friday?”
“Yeah, yeah! That’s perfect.”
“Well,” grinning, you gestured toward the card, “you’ve got my number.”
You scooped up your coffee, briefly knocking on Liz’s door before entering her office, letting the door swing shut behind you as you crossed the room.
“You’re late.” She chastised, half teasing while you leant over to kiss her cheek, your hand resting just past the collar of her shirt and she winced, “and your hands are freezing! What did I tell you about buying new gloves?”
“I’ll get around to it.” You rolled your eyes, laughing softly, “and how am I late if all I’m doing is playing errand boy for you?”
“Cleaners’ only open until three today.” She replied with a shrug pulling a claim ticket out of her desk and passing it to you.
“Good thing it’s only one then.” You replied with a grin, swiping the tag from her and popping it into your purse. “Your dress will be in one piece and ready to go at my place once you’re done here. You’ll have just enough time to go over your speech before we head out.”
“You’re a life saver.” She tugged you back to her to steal a kiss, wincing again at the temperature of your fingers. “Thank you.”
“Anytime.”
You got home with Liz’s dry cleaning over your arm and take out in your other (still bare) hand to find a gift bag sitting outside of your apartment door. You managed to scoop it up and once you got inside you discovered two pairs of very warm, cozy and luxurious gloves inside. A smile crept onto your cheeks and your body relaxed with warmth at the thought of Liz thinking of you on an already crammed busy day.
**
The third time you were slowly starting to pick up on it but brushed it off as friendliness. Thomas had agreed to buy you a drink to pick your brain over your work and you were more than excited to have someone who wasn’t your agent or publisher to talk to about the creative thoughts flying through your brain. You spent more than a few hours at a small table in the corner of a bar picking over appetizers and a few cocktails while you got to know each other a bit more. Thomas was new to town, spent the majority of his time working and thus didn’t really have a lot of friends in the city yet. You tried to pay for your half of the tab but he insisted it was his treat and you weren’t about to complain. When he offered to walk you home you figured he was just being friendly, cautious as a man should be about letting their companion go on alone at night in New York. You didn’t have to argue too much as you already had a car coming and assured that you would text once you were home safe.
**
The fourth time things started to happen you were so wrapped up in the holiday season you wouldn’t have noticed even if you had been looking for it. All of your shopping was done online to avoid crowded stores, there were small piles of packages outside your door daily, more Christmas cards than you could count flowing through your mail box. An array of little gifts from Liz, some signed with her initials, some wrapped with a ‘do not open until Christmas’ warnings, others bare in their Amazon boxes. Some were shipped, some were dropped off and it seemed to change every week.
Flowers, chocolates and candy were frequently left at your work desk, a treat for the entire office, trinkets from fans or avid readers, it was just what happened this time of year. It didn’t matter if it didn’t have a card, it was just a little boost to get through the cold snap and into the new year.
Figuring you should get a start on wrapping the gifts you were giving you started to sort through the boxes littered underneath the tree, finding a surprising amount of things that had been on your public wish list. You were stuck in an internal battle between setting a reminder to thank Liz in the morning or not mention anything considering they were likely supposed to be Christmas gifts and you eventually decided on the latter.
Just as you were finishing up, putting the final bow on the final present there was a knock at your door and you were surprised with dinner from your favourite place. You were a little taken a back with this one, considering it was one of the pricier places you really adored, but hey, it was Christmas time, Liz was working late and cancelled a date night, you weren’t going to complain about a pricey apology.
**
The fifth time it happened Thomas had been away from his desk when you arrived, you figured he was already gone for the night and headed straight to Liz’s office. That was where you discovered that she was having the utter day from hell, more than one prosecutor getting served thanks to playing out of line during their current cases. Meaning she now had to comb through both of their cases from start to where they were currently to find any violations, possibly take them over herself and help them find the appropriate counsel for the suits being filed.
She apologized profusely, promising that she would make it up to you later that weekend and you simply smiled, nodding gently and pressing a kiss to her cheek. You’d known what level of workload she had when you started dating and you reminded her that you knew this wasn’t exactly work from home over a glass of wine type of work. Reluctantly, you finally left her office, quietly shutting the door on your way out before your eyes flicked up and you spotted Thomas back at his desk beginning to pack things up.
“Figured you’d left already.” You greeted with a small smile.
“Oh, just a few last minute things she needed me to take over. Done now.” His eyes slowly raked up your body, taking in the heels, form fitting dress, jewelry and curled hair and he gulped, “you look… nice.”
“Thanks.” You huffed out a laugh, “dinner plans.”
“You didn’t get roped into this somehow, did you?” He asked, gesturing towards Liz’s office.
“Oh no.” You shook your head, pulling your phone out of your pocket when it pinged to read the text message and let out another sigh, “but my date did cancel on me.”
“Really? It’s practically Christmas.”
“Meh, happens.” You shrugged, pocketing your phone again.
“You know… I was just on my way out; my plan was leftover pizza. If you maybe wanted some company, we could grab a bite?” He offered and you hummed over it for a moment.
“You sure?”
“’Course.”
“That’d honestly be really nice, I’ve been cooped up alone in my home office all week and was looking forward to the company.” You glanced up to him, “but I’m paying this time!”
“Not after you got stood up.” He chuckled and you let out a small laugh.
“I had reservations at Trattoria Dell’Arte, it’s not exactly cheap. Let me get it.”
“Only if I take care of the drinks.”
“You’ve got yourself a deal.”
You likely would have noticed that he was flirting, not just being friendly if you hadn’t been so preoccupied up in your head. Between both of your jobs you and Liz hadn’t managed to see that much of each other recently and you were beginning to second guess yourself, thinking that she was simply just too tired to want to bother seeing you after a long week. That the extra work was a welcomed excuse to have to take a rain check yet again.
Instead you played nice, laughed at most of his jokes and contributed the best you could over dinner. Spending time with him wasn’t bad, he was decent enough company you didn’t mind it, you just would have preferred your girlfriend. He did try to snag the dinner bill but you were quicker, taking care of it on the way back from the restroom, leaving him with the agreed upon bottle of wine to settle up.
He once again offered to walk you home, or at least split a cab and you agreed on the latter considering it was a chillier night and you didn’t want either of you to get caught out in the snow. The heavier the incoming storm got, the fewer cabs there would be out on the streets, so it didn’t even cross your mind. You thought nothing of the rose he presented to you after you flagged down the cab considering the street peddler was pushy, the assertive in your face type that wouldn’t take no for an answer until you’d agreed to buy something from them. You’d even both laughed about it on the way home, talking about how guys like that used to target tourists more than the locals and when you reached your apartment you thanked him for the fun evening and hoped he had a great rest of his weekend.
With your back turned you missed the way his eyes followed you all the way up to the entrance to your building, a small smile on his cheeks as the fantasies began to play through his head, some of which were already playing out in real life right in front of him.
**
Stepping out of the cab you cautiously jogged up the stairs to Liz’s brownstone, careful to avoid the ice in your heels, coat open and flowing behind you as you briefly stopped to ring the bell before letting yourself in.
“I’ll be five minutes!” Her voice rang through from her upstairs office, “make yourself a drink.”
“Okay.” You called back, wiping off your shoes and shrugging off your coat to be hung on one of the hallway hooks.
Liz’s house was no stranger to you, it was your home away from home, a place you spent many weekends curled in her arms on the couch or tangled in her bedsheets as the sun crept in through the curtains. It felt homier that your apartment, the place you often opted to work from home when you needed to, the long days that she worked that you missed her, wanted to still feel surrounded by her even if she didn’t come home until long after you were asleep.
You crossed the living room to the bar cart, pouring yourself a gin and tonic to pass the time while she finished whatever it was she was doing. Sipping on the beverage you pulled your phone from your pocket, scrolling through a couple of apps and replying to a couple of messages while your gaze was distracted out the window, watching the snowfall start to get thicker, coating the streets with white fluff.
“Well don’t you look absolutely stunning.” Liz’s voice broke through the silence of the room and you turned back to her with a small laugh, the smile staying on your warm cheeks as she approached you. Her hand cupped your cheek, pulling you to her for a tender kiss that you couldn’t help but relax into.
“Thank you.” You smiled across at her, “figured I should look a little extra nice considering how many nights we’ve missed recently.”
“You know you don’t have to dress up for me.” Liz replied with a small smile, kissing your cheek gently as she squeezed at your hand, “but I do deeply appreciate it.” Her fingers tangled with yours, pulling your hand up to her lips to lay a kiss on the back of it.
“With the amount you spoil me it’s the least I could do.” You replied with a quiet laugh, draining your drink before placing the cup down on a side table. Liz hummed, her eyes dropping to your bracelet on the arm she still held up. Her gaze focused on it, eyes narrowing slightly as she examined it, her brow beginning to furrow. “What?” You asked, heart picking up in your chest as you watched her expression harden.
“This bracelet… it’s awfully personal.” Her hand dropped yours before circling your wrist, twisting your arm back and fourth to examine the jewelry.
“It’s my birthstone, yeah.” You laughed awkwardly “surrounded by yours.”
Her eyes examined it for a moment longer, pulling your wrist closer until she let out a small huff, “that’s not blue topaz, those are diamonds. They’re pulling the light from the sapphires, where did you get this?”
“You.” You chuckled again, feeling your heartbeat pick up in your chest, “one of those little secret Santa gifts you’ve been leaving.”
“It’s not from me.”
“Liz, there’ve been so many packages delivered I can’t even keep track of them, you probably ordered it months ago and forgot.”
“That’s Buccellati. I think I would remember spending that much money on you.” She scoffed, dropping your arm as she turned from you with an eye roll. “And half of those gifts were a don’t open until Christmas.”
“I just said I couldn’t keep track.” You retorted, feeling the annoyance beginning to build up through your veins.
“And I know that’s not from me.” She replied, frustration bubbling up inside of her, she’d been dealing with so much already she’d just wanted to have a nice night out and now this was ruining everything. Then again, maybe things had been ruined before she’d even realized, “diamonds mean someone born in April, or someone that likes you an awful lot and you don’t keep in touch with any family and not to offend but none of your friends could afford that.”
“I told you, it’s from you.” Your voice hardened and she laughed, shaking her head.
“Come on y/n, you’re better than that. That’s the oldest lie in the book.” She picked up a bottle of scotch, pouring out a few ounces and taking a swig as she spoke, “go around galivanting with someone else and when you get caught gaslight your partner into thinking it was them all along.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You’ve been so distant!” Her voice raised ever so lightly, tensing as she spoke, her mouth tightening in that all too familiar pissed off way. “I’ve barely seen you all month, you always wait until the morning to call me back, your texts are far and few in between and the few times I’ve tried to stop by your apartment you’re out! God.” She shook her head with a heavy laugh, “I don’t know how I didn’t put it together earlier that you were seeing someone else.”
“Did you just accuse me of cheating on you?!” Anger jolted through you as you immediately saw red, an offended scoff leaving your lips.
“Well how else would you explain it!?” Her hands flailed in your general direction.
“You’re the one who keeps cancelling fucking dates Liz! I’ve been completely accommodating of your work schedule and how demanding it’s been recently. You’ve barely seen me because you keep blowing me off! Sorry that I’m not at your beck and call, I was trying to give you space and time to regroup from work! I didn’t realize I was supposed to mope around my apartment and wait for you to find a sliver of time for me, sorry that I have other friends to spend time with who actually give a shit.”
“So you admit you’ve been seeing someone?”
“I’m not fucking doing this.” Your hands shot up in surrender, “you’re being insane all over a fucking bracelet.”
“A seven thousand dollar bracelet!” She snapped back, “what would you like to do, go through my bank records?”
“No.” Grabbing your coat you headed for the door, “you can do that yourself and wake up from this fucking delusion where I would cheat on you. I cannot believe you would ever accuse me of something like that, I thought you trusted me!”
The door was pulled open and you were halfway down the steps by the time she called after you, “fine! Walk out on another fucking date, no surprise there!”
**
Christmas Eve was finally upon you and instead of being out celebrating like you thought you would be, you were curled up in the bay window of your apartment watching the snow coat the city in a thick blanket. The remnants of Chinese takeout splayed across the coffee table while the television blared quietly in the background, some marathon of holiday movies still going.
Letting out a heavy sigh you picked up the bottle of wine from beside you, topping up your glass before taking a sip as your gaze redirected out into the night once again. You hadn’t heard from Liz in nearly two weeks, the two of you no doubt trapped in a game of ‘Say Uncle’, waiting for the other to admit they were wrong before any reconciling could begin. It wasn’t the first time you’d fought and if things started moving forward again you were certain it wouldn’t be the last, she was strong willed and always would be. You were hoping that this time in light of the holiday season maybe you would be getting an apology but it appeared she was digging her heels in, burying herself in work while trying to push the image of you with another woman out of her head rather than talking her way through it.
You’d spent some time thinking about it, imagining the last couple of months from Liz’s point of view and you were starting to maybe see where she was coming from. There had been more time apart than usual, more nights of cancelled dates spent apart rather than her coming home late from work to find you making her home warm and welcoming. You’d been busy, actually accepting the offers for holiday parties and meet ups with friends in town for the season rather than sitting around bored at home. But you reminded yourself that just because she might have had the excuse to be suspicious didn’t mean the argument and her accusation was justified.
Letting out another sigh as you sucked back your wine you were debating reheating some leftover Chinese, your stomach beginning to rumble when your attention was pulled to the door. Your head tilted for a moment, wondering if you were hearing things from the television or not but the second knocking came though loud and clear. A small groan escaped your lips as you untangled yourself from the blanket, stretching out stiff muscles as you padded through your apartment to the door, pulling it open to a very lavish bouquet of poinsettias and red and white roses, it was only after a moment that you realized who was holding it.
“Thomas?” You let out a huff, “seriously, she’s making you do her bidding on Christmas Eve? You deserve a break, and a raise. If she can’t be bothered to drop them off herself I don’t want them.”
“Her?” He asked with a tilt of the head.
“Liz.” You rolled your eyes, “I knew she liked having minions to do shit like this but this is so not cool.”
“Ms. Donnelly?” His nose scrunched, “no, these are from me.”
“Oh.” You stalled in your movement, taking a step back from the door to open it wider, “I guess… come in then.”
“Thanks.” He flashed you a smile, quickly stepping into the apartment, following you so he could place the bouquet down on the kitchen island.
“You know, you really didn’t have to bring me anything.”
“Well, you’re pretty big on Christmas, aren’t you?” He gestured around your apartment, eyes sweeping through the decorations, the large tree in the corner with piles of gifts wrapped underneath it, “everyone deserves a little bit of holiday cheer.”
“Yeah.” You sighed, smiling softly across from him.
“Besides, after I saw you were actually wearing the bracelet the last time you swung through the office I figured I should stop playing secret Santa and reveal myself.” His eyes flicked down to your wrist and a frown took over his face, “but… you’re not wearing it now.”
“Hmph,” you mumbled over a sip of wine, “Liz and I got into a big fight over it, kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.”
“Oh…” He stuttered a moment, wringing his hands while he gathered his words and you took another sip of your drink, “I thought it looked quite nice. You know, my birthday’s in April, always thought diamonds and sapphires complimented each other well.”
The wine glass in your hand paused halfway back to the kitchen island and you did your best to not let it show on your face as ice began to run through your veins. The wheels were spinning in your brain, trying to make it make sense and if there was ever a moment to trust your gut, you knew this was it. Before you could fully process everything Thomas spoke again,
“I like what you did with the shadowboxes,” he gestured to the wall above the television, “they had them in your favourite colour too, but I thought that might clash with the rest of the room. I’m glad the silver looks so nice.”
“Thanks…” The glass finally met the island gently as your fingers slipped off it, gripping the edge of the counter.
“Oh and that blanket!” His eyes lit up with excitement when he saw the one you’d previously been curled up in, “isn’t it the softest thing you’ve ever felt?” You nodded slowly, “bought one for myself when I picked it up.” He was nearly two steps into your living room by the time you found your voice, clearing your throat before you spoke.
“Hey Thomas…”
“Yeah?” He whipped around, a gleam in his eye and wide smile on his face.
“How did you know where I live?” You asked slowly, keeping your tone calm and cool in an attempt to keep him in the same mood he was in currently, completely unaware that the hair on the back of your neck was standing up.
“After our date at Trattoria we shared a cab.” He reminded you, “dropped you off first.”
“Date…” You nodded slowly, an unsure smile on your lips.
“Well,” he laughed, “I guess it would’ve been more of a date if you’d let me pay for dinner, but I’ll take what I can get.”
“Uh-huh.” You picked up your wine glass again, taking another sip as you watched him take in your apartment, “you know, my name’s not on a buzzer. You go knocking on everyone’s doors?”
“Nope.” He smiled brightly over at you, “told the cabbie to wait that night, wanting to make sure you got in alright. I saw your light flick on when you got in, just did my own investigative work to figure out which suite was yours.”
“I’ll add detective to your resume.” You gently teased and he chuckled, his fingers trailing over the back of your couch while his eyes dragged through your living room.
“Chow mein noodles…” he muttered, “I should’ve known.” He clicked his tongue, shaking his head at himself, “hope you didn’t mind the shanghai ones I had sent over.”
“Hmm?” Your brow raised in his direction as your stomach began to churn.
“A couple of weeks ago.” He laughed softly, “you said you were dreading cooking dinner so I thought I’d help out a bit.”
“That was you…” You asked with a breath, feeling your heart starting to thud heavily in your chest.
“Well yeah.” He smiled brightly, “who else would it be?”
“Tell me something… how many times have you sent stuff to my apartment?”
“Food? At least once a week, I mean, you can’t forget to eat, it’s important.”
“Sure is.”
“The other stuff? Depended.” He shrugged, “I figured it’s Christmas so you should get treated a little more than usual, flowers, treats. I went through your Amazon list,” he nodded toward the tree, “though I’m figuring some of that’s still under there.”
“Okay, but why?”
“Because you deserve it.” He stepped toward you and you fought every instinct in your brain to step back, not wanting to get a negative response out of him, “you’re so beautiful, so kind and sweet. I mean, it didn’t take much to fall in love with you.”
“Oh Thomas I—”
“Was I too secretive with my Santa game?” He laughed, “did you not realize they were all from me?”
“No.. no I did not.”
“Well, surprise.” He replied with a sheepish grin, “I was your secret admirer.”
“I didn’t even realize I had one.” You replied with an awkward laugh, praying that he would stay the two feet away from you he currently was.
“What’d you mean?” He asked, his face falling, “who did you think they were from?”
“Well, to be completely honest, Liz.”
“Ms. Donnelly?” His face scrunched, “why would any of them be from her?”
“Because I am her girlfriend.” Liz’s voice growled through the apartment and you jumped, having not realized the door had never been shut behind Thomas. You had no idea how long she had been standing there or how much she had heard but one thing was clear; she was absolutely livid. “What the hell do you think you’re doing here?”
“It’s practically Christmas.” He gestured around, “I thought that was the best time to make romantic declarations.”
“Is that so?” Liz asked, her brow raising before whatever was in her hands found home on the entry way table and a dark gleam took over her eyes. “How about I tell you what the best thing to do is right now?” She stepped towards him and he visibly gulped, “you’re going to get the hell out of here and you’re never going to set foot on this block ever again. If I so much as catch a glimpse of you attempting to nose your way into her life, I’ll sick Stabler on you, understood?”
“Yes Ms. Donnelly.” He nodded, shrinking around himself as he ducked his gaze, attempting to step around her to get over to the door.
“And I think it’s very clear you don’t need to show up at work after the holidays, you’re fired. Don’t expect any good references either.”
She followed him toward the door, making sure he was scurrying his way to the stairs before she swung it shut behind him, flicking the lock for extra security. Her eyes closed for a moment and she took a deep breath before turning to you, noticing the way you were clutching the counter so tight your knuckles were white.
“Are you alright?” She asked, her voice impeccably soft as she cautiously stepped toward you, a hand soothing its way up your arm and you looked up at her, a slight shake in your voice.
“Kinda feel like I’m gonna be sick.” You ran your hand over your face, letting out a low breath, “god I was so stupid, how could I not realize?” You leant back into the counter, “I really did think it was you sending me everything.”
“Everything?” Her brow raised as her arm wound around your waist, pulling you to her so she could leave a soft kiss on your temple. “It wasn’t just the flowers?”
You shook your head, rolling your eyes at the lavish bouquet that you wanted nothing more than to toss in the garbage, “he’s been sending me things for months, and I don’t even know what was him and what was you.”
“Has he been following you?” She asked, worry taking over her voice.
“I dunno.” You shrugged, “we split a cab after drinks one night, dropped me off first but who knows, that was probably part of the plan.”
“I thought I was going overboard mentioning Stabler but now I’m starting to think it may be a good idea.” Her eyes swept through your apartment, taking in all the new trinkets that hadn’t been there the last time she was, “I’m going to get him to run Thomas’ name, do a more thorough background check, and let’s get you out of here, you’re staying at my place until New Years.”
“Are you sure?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” She squeezed at your hand.
“You’re not…  mad anymore?” You asked and her face fell before she let out a weary sigh, shaking her head.
“Absolutely not. I was over worked and stressed and came to a very wrong conclusion when I should have seen how suspicious that was from a different angle.”
“You know I’d never cheat on you, right?” You couldn’t help the tears swimming into your eyes, both at the question and the fact that you were pretty shaken up considering your evening.
“Oh sweetheart.” Liz stepped forward again, her hands cupping your cheeks as she leant in to kiss you, her lips brushing against yours while she spoke, “of course I do. I know how much you love me and I love you even more than you could imagine. I’m so sorry I said those terrible things. You’re the greatest partner I could ask for, always so understanding when I have to shuffle things around, I should be praising the ground you walk on.”
“Okay well now you’re going overboard.” You let out a watery laugh, smiling as you leant forward to kiss her again.
“Nonsense.” She kissed the tip of your nose, “my girl deserves the absolute best.”
“The absolute best would be getting the fuck out of here; I feel like I need to burn half my belongings.” You shuddered and she squeezed at your shoulders, directing you toward the door.
“Grab what you need. We can come back in a couple of days to sort through everything and figure out what came from that creep and what I had sent over.”
“Okay.” You slipped into your coat, grabbing your bag grabbing Liz quickly before she ushered you out the door “thank you. I love you.”
“I love you more sweetheart.”
You’d fully calmed down a couple of hours later, curled up in Liz’s arms on her couch at her very comfortable and very private brownstone. A warm glow casted from the fully decorated tree in the corner, the main source of light in the room as Christmas movies played on the television and fluffy snowflakes drifted through the air outside. You let out a soft sigh, burrowing further into her embrace and in return her arm squeezed at you, her lips brushing against your hairline as the curved up into a smile. You both knew that no matter what the world threw at you, you had each other, you were safe and loved and there was no one else you’d rather spend the holidays or your lives with.

Pairing: Elizabeth Donnelly x f!reader
Warnings: Hurt/comfort, smut, a dash of mommy kink for good measure
Summary:
You said, you said "Turn the lights down, I wanna be alone" I read your head away I couldn't stand how it pleaded, I needed to take Take a break, take me down, take me down there I wanna stare at the tears, how they watered your years
Based on a request for f!reader reassuring a vulnerable Liz.
---
"Santa leave her in your stocking as an early Christmas present? Wouldn't necessarily say you qualify for the nice list, Elizabeth," Arthur Branch chuckled, motioning towards you with his glass.
You felt Liz's grasp tighten on your hand. From the corner of your eye, you could see her head tilt in the tell tale manner it did whenever she was preparing to unleash a verbal ass beating.
"Pleasure to meet you too, Counselman. Heard you're quite the saint, yourself," you piped up with a facetious smile. "Curious how your daughter is staying back in Georgia with her mother again this year. Can't imagine why. Airfare must be too expensive these days."
Lena Petrovsky snickered.
Figured. Corporate types loved when an outsider said what they all couldn't. You were thankful for the bits of gossip Liz fed you over your coffee dates, as it was easy to weaponize them in times like this.
Next to her, a taller woman shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She adjusted her narrow black frames and studied Liz, as if judging whether or not it was safe for her to laugh as well. Out of all the suits stuffed into the swanky bar that evening, she somehow looked the most out of place, ducking out of the way awkwardly whenever a waiter slid by.
"What's it you do again, Miss? Are you one of the ladies that takes my blood when they wheel you into the ER?" Arthur jabbed. "I thought you had to be at least 16 to get a job around here. Mercy General must've fallen on hard times."
Ah, the good ol' age joke and a sexist joke to boot. What a BOGO. You knew his back was against the wall now.
"Really now, Arthur," Lena said, rolling her eyes.
"No, he has a point. I often confuse phlebotomists and trauma surgeons," you said lightly. "I'm sure it was an honest mistake."
---
Later in the evening, you found yourself sat in a booth across from the leggy blonde.
Snowflakes were beginning to fall outside, flurries catching in the light of the streetlamps. The music in the bar had quieted down, replaced by the sounds of the Manhattan DA's office trading stories and looking for any opportunity to climb the corporate ladder.
Your attention, however, was caught by Liz. Typically bold and brash, she seemed to hang on the periphery of the crowd tonight, sandwiched next to Lena. She said very little.
"Don't beat yourself up, you should be proud of the way you handled Branch."
You turned to face the woman, whom you learned was named Alex.
"How do you do it?"
"What, deal with him? Lots of Ibuprofen. He's that way with everyone."
"No," you paused, gesturing to the crowd with a loose straw you picked up off the table. "All of this. This whole ecosystem. It'd drive me nuts."
"The type of people who get to this level fought to get here, fought for nights like this. It's why we put up with law school, all those pro bono service hours..." she trailed off. Alex picked at her salad. "Liz isn't any different."
"She can turn it off, though."
Alex's brow furrowed.
"What?"
"Sorry, I'm only used to the Liz Donnelly who breaks down the door to my office whenever she catches wind that my position on a case differs from hers."
You grinned, thinking about how her short, blonde locks bounced whenever she was marching around the brownstone in a tizzy over something that happened at work earlier in the day. It occurred to you that the cause of those occasional outbursts must've been the woman sat across from you.
"I'm glad she's found someone," Alex said softly. "For all the shit she gives me, I've heard she's had it rough in this business."
"What lawyer doesn't, besides the ones that scoot by on family ties?"
Alex bit at her bottom lip.
"I assume the past 30 or so years haven't been the kindest to women, let alone those that... go against the grain."
---
"Yo, you catch the babe in the dress over there? Heard she's the one 'doin' a Donnelly' now," the paralegal snorted. He adjusted his quarter zip with a swell of pride as the other young men around him laughed.
Something in the pit of Liz's stomach turned at the phrase that still circulated around the halls of the DA's office.
She feigned interest in whatever Lena was rattling on about next to her. Gardening, her English bulldog Petunia, the new developmental milestone her grandson had hit a startlingly early age. Take your pick. None of it mattered.
"What's a chick like that doing with Donnelly? There's gotta be a good 20 year difference between them, at least," another one chided. "In it for the cash?"
"God, you couldn't pay me to deal with all that feminist, liberal bullshit."
"I think you're safe, man. Everyone knows that cougar's not coming after you," the other snickered.
Liz snapped her head around. Lena paused.
"Elizabeth?"
"Have a good night, Lena. I have to go make a call."
Liz slipped through the crowd towards you, leaving the judge confused, but altogether indifferent.
---
The ride back to the brownstone was unusually silent.
Typically, the drive back from one of her work events consisted of Liz recounting how "that motherfucker was saying an awful lot for a man who cheats on his wife with his clerk", or how "that public defender at the bar is the one I told you about who keeps getting hit by her repeat offenders". They were boisterous little getaways from reality that you loved sharing with her, thankful for a glimpse into what her world really held.
Not so much this time.
Liz's arm was limp around your shoulder, and as you studied her face, you noticed her wide brown eyes preoccupied with watching the moon from outside the town car.
It hung high above the city, fat and pale.
Snow crunched underneath the tires.
You squeezed her hand.
She gave you a half-smile, a million miles away.
---
Once inside, Liz flicked the lock on the door, took off her coat, and retreated into the depths of the hallway that led to her home office.
Your eyebrows rose.
Although there hadn't been any fighting you'd witnessed break out at the bar, something must've transpired. It was unlike Liz not to be pressing you into the wall, eager to shuck your dress off as soon as you both made it back. Stranger still, the attorney was rarely one of few words.
Badgering her to open up didn't strike you as a method that'd be successful. Years of learning how to maneuver through conversations with resistant patients throughout medical school and, more recently, residency had taught you better. Elizabeth Donnelly would be yet another test to your bedside manner, you thought as you padded up the stairs.
So be it.
When you reached Liz's bedroom, you headed straight for the bathroom, collecting some of the tea candles you'd brought over a few weeks earlier. Soon, they littered the surfaces of the end tables on either side of the prosecutor's bed and along the ledge next to the tub. After lighting each of them, you rifled through the drawer she had started letting you keep your clothes in.
You searched with the aid of the wavering flames of the tea lights until you felt terrycloth slide through your fingers. Your bathrobe. Liz would have a black silk one somewhere in her closet, which proved easier to find in the dim light than you thought it would.
Off came your dress. You missed the feeling of Liz pressing up against your back, her breath heavy against the back of your neck as you heard your zipper come undone. As you discarded your bra on the floor along with your panties, you felt yourself ache for the way she'd slide her hands around your back to cup and massage your breasts.
You steeled yourself.
No matter how much you missed her touch, you wouldn't be feeling it until Liz crossed whatever bridge she was stuck on.
You folded her robe neatly at the end of the bed, and headed into the bathroom to draw a bath.
---
Liz sat in front of her computer, scrolling aimlessly through a redlined document that wouldn't matter until the following week. Her eyes scanned the paragraphs, watching the words slide off the screen.
Anything to keep her mind off the feeling in the pit of her stomach would be a welcomed distraction, even if it meant numbing herself to her surroundings.
The ghosts of the voices from the douchebags at the bar whispered at the edges of her consciousness. She pinched the bridge of her nose. Fuck.
"Honey?"
Liz opened her eyes. The words on the screen blurred together into a tangle of symbols.
You reached over, thumb swiping at the power button on the monitor.
Liz felt her office chair spin.
She looked up at you, mascara and eyeliner smudged. Her eyes were bloodshot.
"Come on," you said softly, gently taking hold of her hands. "Let's get you upstairs."
"I'm not in the mood tonight, sweetheart, I'm sorry..." she trailed off. Her voice was hollow. Worry grew in the back of your mind when you noticed she couldn't hold your gaze.
"I know. I'm not expecting anything. I think you need to wash up. It's getting pretty late," you said slowly.
Liz withdrew a hand to wipe at her eye, nodding.
---
You led her upstairs, grounding yourself mentally once more when she was quiet at the sight of the candles.
Wordlessly, you handed her the silk robe, and began easing her arms out of her blazer. You could tell she was confused, but she didn't resist.
"Thank you," Liz muttered.
You pressed a kiss to the back of her neck. She shuddered.
Confidence growing, you pressed your palms against her shoulders, and walked her into the bathroom where the tub waited.
"You're an angel, really," she sighed. "I don't know why you put up with someone like me."
That was it.
"Someone like you?" you played along, watching closely as she slid into the warm water with you. You moved to sit behind her. Had she been herself, you knew she'd fight you on that, but here and now she allowed you to wrap yourself around her back and pull her into your arms as you shifted up against the wall of the tub.
She sniffled.
You ran a warm, wet hand through her hair. Liz leaned into your touch.
"Someone my age."
"When has that ever been something I said I didn't care for?" you asked without any edge to your voice. You pressed your thumbs into the muscles that lined her shoulder blades now, massaging at the tension you felt rippling under her skin.
"Doesn't mean you couldn't be thinking it."
You laid your forehead against the back of her head.
"Liz, you're better with words than I am. I know there's nothing I can say to prove to you that I really don't care about that."
She hummed as you rolled your hands over her shoulders.
"Well, your tactfulness is proving exactly why they all loved you tonight."
"You know how honored it makes me feel that Arthur Branch likes me, my entire night hinged on winning him over," you teased.
Liz's body trembled slightly in your arms as she laughed at this.
"He's a jackass, Liz. I don't care if he or the judge thinks I'm too young."
"I know," she said, her voice quieting again. "It's just that...seeing you light up the room does make me wonder."
Instead of responding, you leaned down to press a kiss to either of her shoulders, allowing her space to finally speak her thoughts.
"There was a group of boys eyeing you up while I was talking to Lena."
"A group of twentysomething year-old Vineyard Vines proto-lawyers, wow. Just about the only thing more enticing than talking to Branch," you snorted. You could tell Liz smiled to herself at that.
"We have those types at the hospital. It's funny, there's a lot of crossover between your world and mine. Well, in terms of the undesirables."
"That why you're not with some other hotshot young doctor?"
She stiffened. You planted featherlight kisses across her jaw.
"I like my food well-seasoned, so to speak. And female, at that."
"You like your food 'female'?" Liz snickered. She still kept her eyes shut. You could tell that although a few bricks had been removed, the wall she built around herself still remained.
"Hey, I told you you're the one who's good with words here," you giggled. "But I know a better way to show you what I mean."
---
You led Liz, legs hot and leaden with exhaustion, to the bed.
Knowing that she wouldn't cooperate with being pushed onto her back, even in the state she was in, you patted the edge of the bed.
She acquiesed.
You leaned down, cupping her cheek. Her lips met yours hesitantly. You pressed deeper, teeth tugging at her bottom lip before you dropped to your knees.
Liz's breathing grew heavier. You trailed kisses down her chest, stopping to pop one of her nipples into your mouth. She moaned at this. Soon, her fingers wound their way into your hair. You move to suckle at the other nipple, watching as she pivoted to help ease it into your mouth.
"Mmmph..." you groaned, mouth full of her.
She kissed at your forehead.
With a wet pop, you released her nipple from your mouth, trails of saliva dribbling down her chest and your chin as you continued your way down, peppering her body with open-mouthed smooches. Feeling her shudder and groan caused the ache that throbbed between your legs to grow.
"Goddamn," Liz swore from up above you as you began lapping at the wetness you were glad to find between her legs like a kitten before a warm bowl of milk. You moved to let her drench your face, never able to get as close as you wanted to be to her. Your nose rubbed at her clit, which in turn led her to tighten her grip on the back of her head.
You looked up between her folds to find her staring down at you fondly behind heavily lidded eyes.
Getting closer.
Not looking away, you moved to wrap your lips around her clit, tongue stroking along the length of it.
"That's it, sweetheart," she panted now.
You tongued and sucked at her eagerly, pressing into the hips she began to roll against your face, until you felt her body freeze as her orgasm rippled over her. You moaned, moving to lap up as much of her as you could.
Rising to your feet, you wiped at your mouth with the back of your hand and smiled.
"Well-seasoned, told you," you teased, chest rising and falling.
Something shifted in her gaze, and the attorney tilted her head towards the bed.
"Lay back."
You listened.
Soon, you fixed your eyes to the ceiling, head comfortable on the pillow you knew she preferred sleeping on. The waning flames from the candles danced along the walls, the smell of sandalwood and lavender from the tub still heavy in the air.
She nudged between your legs, moving to climb atop you.
A wave of anxiety floated across your mind, almost as if you were making love for the first time all over again. It was something in the way she regarded you. Tenderly, hesitantly. So unlike what people knew her to be.
You steadied your breathing as she leaned down to kiss you. Surprisingly, her tongue slid readily into your mouth. You felt her begin to stroke at your nipples. You reached up, pulling her head closer to you to deepen the kiss, your thirst for her mouth all over yours something she hadn't quenched.
She pulled back, smiling at your sounds of protest.
"Greedy," Liz teased.
"I can't help it," you groaned from beneath her. "I want more of you. All of you."
One of her fingers busied itself between your folds now.
"All of me?" she countered. "You don't want some young gun bedding you?"
At this, she slid it inside of you, slowly beginning to pump. For as much as you were trying, you felt your grasp on what remained of your patience slip.
"Lizzie, come on..."
"And what?"
You groaned, feet running up and down the sheets. Her movements were maddeningly slow, never quite full enough, deep enough. She knew this.
"Fuck me. Hard. Claim me like I know you want to," you panted.
Liz shifted.
You gasped as you felt her lift your legs up onto her shoulders. It was nothing, though, like the way your brain spiraled like the suds around the drain when you felt her run the tip of her strap along the edge of your hole.
Liz leaned forward, pinning her hands to your wrists and pressing them into the mattress. She bucked her hips forward, and a moan escaped your lips as she filled you.
The attorney thrust in and out of you with a ferocity you hadn't felt from her yet, let alone from anyone, despite how hot-blooded she had been with you in the past. Not allowing either of you a chance to catch your breath, hers came in hot, ragged puffs over your face. You couldn't break away from her gaze, which poured over you with an intensity edged with a certain sense of resolve.
She needed this. Needed to know you were hers to hold, hers to bed.
With each stroke, she nailed at that spot inside you that melted your brain, deep and heavy. There'd surely be bruises in the morning, but you weren't able to think that far ahead anymore.
"I'm the only one..." she huffed, "the only one who gets to do this to you."
Your heart thumped between your ribs, threatening to snap them apart and claw its way out of your open chest.
"Say it."
You could barely hear her above you.
"Say it for me, darling," Liz repeated, appearing to be riding close to her own orgasm as well, no doubt from the way the base of her strap was rubbing against her.
You squeezed your eyes shut. Blood thumped in your ears.
"Fuck...please, mommy...please...Iet me cum..."
Your heart dropped as you felt her studder in her motions. Eyes snapping open, you realized those words you whined weren't kept within the confines of your own head.
"Oh god, Liz, I'm so sorry, I-"
Something behind Liz's eyes darkened.
She covered your body with hers, tongue cutting you off as she roughly bucked once, twice, three more times to send you both careening into the waves of pleasure that erupted across each of you. She bit at your lip hard, drawing blood. You groaned. Hands groped across sweaty expanses of flesh, unable to grasp enough.
When you finally parted, the fog had cleared.
The prosecutor's shoulders were set firmly. Though her chest still rose and fell, the look in her eyes was wholly her again, albeit with a certain eagerness blooming within their depths.
"Don't apologize for that. Ever."
A weary grin spread across your face.
Relief, sweet relief.
Your heart bounded happily. She picked up one of your hands, kissing each knuckle.
"Satisfied?" you asked, shifting to slide beneath the sheets.
She patted your thigh.
"More than you know."

Do you have any Elizabeth Donnelly/fem!reader headcanons?
Hey anon! I do have a few thoughts so here they are!! :)
I think that the first thing is that Liz loves having someone to pamper a little, and her girlfriend is a little bit younger than her
Elizabeth’s past relationships were usually not love fests like, so she doesn’t understand that she’s loveable, you are able to slowly show her that, it’s not an easy feat though
Liz is naturally a little possessive because she doesn’t open up easily and now that you’re hers she wants everyone to know it
Her love language is gifts for sure, flowers and jewelry are often given or sent over
I don’t think that she would be in a relationship with somebody in her from the DAs office (however Donnelly x Casey is very cute) but you can keep up with her friends and other lawyers very easily and she loves that
There are lots of weekly dinner parties and things to attend but she loves you’re quiet time together the most
*I know this is short but I thought it was cute!! :)

Summertime Sickness
pairing: Elizabeth Donnelly x Reader
prompt: "Get off of me. It's dangerous to cuddle during a heatwave."
Summertime was usually your favorite time of year. The weather was warm most days and when it got to be a little bit on the hot side, there was always Elizabeth's house on the water. Hamptons weekends were a staple of your summer since the start of your relationship with Liz. She was a little guilty about how much she let her job take over and made up for it with every three-to-five-day weekend that she could. Usually, it was a nice time spent on the beach cooling off before stumbling inside after a few glasses of wine.
"God, I hate this," you moaned in agony as you kicked off your blankets. "Lizzie, come here please."
"Do you need something dear?" Elizabeth asked you. It was obvious that she was getting to the end of her patience with you. You couldn't blame her, especially since you tended to get whinier than usual whenever you got sick in the summer. Something about the heat made it harder for you to shake the fevers, even as you tried sweating them out.
"Come here." You patted the empty spot on the bed that wasn't partially drenched from your sweat. Elizabeth tentatively sat down there, and you wrapped yourself around her body. "I love you."
"Get off of me. It's dangerous to cuddle during a heatwave!" Elizabeth snapped at you. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough for you to instantly retract. Elizabeth sighed and turned to face you. "I'm sorry. It's hot, I didn't mean to get snappy with you. It was shitty of me."
"Yeah, I'm sick. You can't yell at sick people," you scoffed. Elizabeth scooted away from you a little, causing you to pout at her.
"You said it yourself, you're sick. I'll get you some more medicine and we'll see how you're fairing after dinner," Elizabeth said. She pressed a kiss to your forehead and then left you to rest up on your own. An hour or so later she got back with some new medicine for you. You slept until she woke you up for dinner, even though you knew it was just cheese, crackers, and a couple bottles of wine. Elizabeth wasn't the cooking type usually, but never when the two of you were on vacation.
"A couple more glasses of that and you're not gonna care how sick I really am," you joked. Elizabeth was already starting to gravitate towards you slowly, so you were sure that it was only a matter of time before she'd be completely cuddled up with you.
"And then you can take care of me," Elizabeth reminded you. You pulled a face at trying to deal with her while she was sick. Elizabeth didn't get needy, she got stubborn and it damn near took a hospital visit to get her to admit she wasn't feeling well.
"So long as you don't try to drive back while you're sick. I don't know about you, but I value my life."

Old Habits Die Hard - Ch 3
Rita Calhoun x Transgender FTM Reader
Tumblr media
“Court is adjourned”, the judge said and you sighed and stood from your seat. You watched Rafael as he packed his stuff in his suitcase. He walked over to the defense table, speaking to the attorney and you immediately noticed it was the woman who came into his office the day before.
She said something that made him chuckle and you felt your heart clench. Suddenly they both turned to look at you and you felt a blush slowly creep on your neck. You watched as they chuckled again and Rafael walked over to you.
“Wanna go outside?”
You nodded and followed him out of the courtroom, but felt eyes on you and turned to see the woman looking at you. You gave her a soft smile and a little wave before following Rafael.
“How’s the case going?”, he asked once you were out and you cleared your throat.
“We’re kinda at a halt at the moment. We can’t find any other victims who wants to come forward”
“What about the rape kit?”
“It hasn’t come back yet. We’re still waiting for the results”
Rafael nodded in acceptance and you looked down. “Look. I know it’s hard finding vimtims. But imagine what this man has done. Who he’s targeting. They’re terrified of him”
“Of course they are, but what can I do? I can’t force them to come forward”
Rafael shrugged and you sighed deep looking away. You walked into the elevator and closed the door, leaving the two of you alone.
“Who would’ve thought a guy like Victor Xandi would target young transgender girls”
“Who would’ve thought he would touch any girls like that?”, you said stopping in your tracks and Rafael stopped as well, worried eyes meeting your own tired ones. “I mean why would he step over that line? He gained their trusts… why betray them?”
Rafael looked at you with sorry in his eyes, though he couldn’t stop himself from smiling softly, a small chuckle escaping his mouth. “Isn’t that your thing to discover?”
You eyed him for a moment before a chuckle escaped your own lips. “Yeah I guess you’re right. I think I just need to get used to it”
You looked down at your feet as Rafael watched you with his eyes. You could feel them on you and you didn’t know wether to feel admired or stalked. It had been so many years after all.
“Used to what?”
You turned to him, meeting his eyes and you stared into them, feeling yourself getting trapped. Despite the many years away from each other, you still saw the man you once knew. The man you once loved.
The door opened and you sighed shaking yourself out of the trance before walking  towards the exit. The moment your eyes landed on the exit you frowned at turned to Rafael with furrowed eyebrows making him frown at your face.
“What?”
You stared at the exit and saw a blonde and a brunette, already knowing who the blonde was. “She still works here?”, you asked and Rafael frowned and turned to see his opponent speaking to judge Donnelly.
“Donnelly? Of course”
You looked at Rafael with a frown and the man couldn’t stop himself from falling for you all over again. Even in male form, you were still gorgeous in his eyes. “Really? I thought she would’ve quit by now”
You remembered back to when you met Rafael and Donnelly was his boss. She had always intimidated you and to say you were afraid of her would be an understatement. A huge understatement. Not to mention how gorgeous she was and how much she made you squirm under her gaze. She always gave you the eyes whenever you were in court watching Rafael.
“Do you even know Liz? She doesn’t quit”, Rafael laughed and you rolled your eyes and noticed the woman standing next to her. The same woman Rafael had spoken to in the courtroom.
“Who’s the woman?”, you asked and Rafael looked at the two ladies.
“Rita Calhoun. Went to college with her” You turned to him with furrowed eyebrows making him turn to you as well. “What?”
“You’ve slept with her haven’t you?”, you practically stated and he stared at you for a moment before bursting out laughing. The action made you roll your eyes and watched him laugh it out.
“God no”, he answered through laughs. “She would castrate me if I as much as indicated”
You couldn’t stop the corner of your lips from twisting upwards at his reaction. “Plus I’m not exactly her type”, he pointed out and you looked up meeting his eyes.
“How? Is she gay?”, you asked and he chuckled again. “No she does play on both sides but…”, he trailed off and you raised a single eyebrow towards him.
“But…?”
“She likes them young”
You eyed him for a moment before widening your eyes at the realization. “Oh my god, that’s where you got it from!”, you said hitting his arm and he frowned at you.
“Got what?”
“Your sugar daddy’ness”
At that Barba burst out laughing and you frowned at him. “Y/N/N come on, sugar daddy?”
You rolled your eyes and turned to see Rita Calhoun coming walking towards you. You slapped Rafael on his arm and he stopped laughing as he turned to you only to follow your gaze, meeting Rita’s eyes.
“Gentlemen”
“Rita”, Rafael greeted with a smile while you gave a simple nod in greeting. Rita gave you a smile as she looked at you up and down.
“I don’t think we’ve been formally introduced. Rita Calhoun”, she said offering her hand and you immediately accepted it with a smile on your face.
“Y/N Y/L/N”
“Detective right?”
You nodded and she smirked. She turned to Rafael and raised an eyebrow. “I suppose I see the allure”
You couldn’t stop yourself from smirking a little and turning to Rafael who was suddenly blushing hard, clearing his throat. “I’m sure you do Rita, did you want something?”
“Oh Rafael, don’t be so jealous”, the defense attorney said, immediately seeing the defense the man was quickly building up.
“He doesn’t have the right to be”, you chipped in, crossing your arms and Rita raised an eyebrow at you while Rafael turned to you. Dared you to think it was hurt you saw in his eyes?
“This one’s got fire. I like him”
You smirked and looked at her, meeting her eyes. You could see the flirtation in her eyes, seeing her biting her lower lip and you wanted nothing more than to suck on that lip. “You’re not too bad yourself counselor”
Rafael rolled his eyes at the way you two looked at each other and walked closer to you. “Alright enough. We’re late, Liv just called us in”, he said and walked out of the court house.
You rolled your eyes and turned to Rita who was smirking back at you. “He’s not much for sharing is he?”, she asked and you chuckled.
“There’s nothing to share counselor”, you said and she raised an eyebrow at you. You walked closer to her and gave her the elevator look. “I’m 100% myself. Alone. Single”, you said and winked.
You followed Rafael, knowing Rita was watching you.
“What do we got?”, Barba asked the moment the two of you walked into the squad room and down the hallway towards interrogation.
Olivia and Tamin stood by the window to interrogation one. “Benjamin Carter. The perp. He’s a therapist, mid thirties”, Olivia said and Barba nodded.
“Did the victim say he raped her?”
“Yes”
He nodded again and was about to say something when the door to the room opened and Rollins came out. “He’s not bugging”
Olivia sighed and turned to you. “You want a go?” She hadn’t really seen you in action yet and she was determined to see it. You nodded and received the file from Rollins before going inside.
“Hello Carter”
The man looked up at you and crossed his arms. “I just told the other detective. I didn’t do this”, he said and you nodded as you sat down in the chair.
“That’s funny you should say that, because Yvonne says otherwise”
“Yes, the other detective told me she told you guys that I raped her”
“And she’s not the only one. DNA agrees”, you said and pulled out the DNA results. Carter looked at them for a moment before looking away.
“Of course it says that. Yes we had sex, but it was consensual” You raised an eyebrow and he looked at you.
“This is what you call consensual?”, you asked and showed him the photos of Yvonne’s body. Blue and purple marks all over her body, strangulation marks on throat. “Hurting your sexual partners?”
“She liked it like that”
“Really? She liked to be almost strangled to death”
He nodded and you sighed and stood from your seat. “Alright. Let’s say she liked it and it was consensual. Why would she say you raped her? Why come to the police?”
“Beats me. I don’t know. Maybe she thought it would be fun. Maybe she enjoys being raped and wanted some attention” You froze the moment the words were out and looked right into his eyes.
“Oh no”, Barba mumbled and Olivia turned to him. “You listen to me. Nobody enjoys being raped. It’s not something anyone enjoys!”
Carter looked into your eyes and immediately saw right through them. He could see the anger. The insecurity, the hate. All the emotions you had been hiding for years, well hidden, and he only took one look at you and instantly saw them. “Who hurt you?”
You eyed him with anger in your eyes. And you hated the fact that you felt your walls breaking down, but no. You refused to let him get to you. Not him. And especially not in front of Rafael.
“Why would she lie to us?”, you asked again, ignoring the question and the man smirked, knowing he got to you.
“It was someone close. A close friend perhaps?”
“Stop it”
“Or maybe a family member?”
“I said stop it”
“Sibling or parent?”
“ENOUGH!”
Silence filled the interrogation room. You stared with anger into Carter’s eyes, his own eyes only filled with happiness.
On the other side of the wall, Olivia, Tamin and Rafael stood absolutely still. Olivia with mouth open in shock, Tamin with exact same expression and Rafael wide eyes. Why had you never told him about that?
“What’s going on?”, Rollins asked when she saw them all freeze and she and Fin came over and looked through the window.
“It was your father wasn’t it?”, he asked and you narrowed your eyes at him.
“This isn’t about me. This is about you and Yvonne. So tell me what happened”
Carter only kept smirking as he looked into your eyes. He could see right through the walls and was looking right at the vulnerability that has kept position since you were eighteen.
“Why don’t you tell me what happened? Then I’ll tell you everything you want to know. And if it makes you feel better. I’ll even write it down”
You stood and watched him for a moment. Rafael widened his eyes turning to Olivia. “Is he actually considering it?”
“What’s wrong with–“
“I have to stop him”
Rafael knocked on the window, breaking you from the trans and you sighed looked away. You looked through the glass and immediately let the others know not to disturb the interview, Olivia turning to Barba. “I don’t think you’ll get the chance”
“Speak”, you said and Carter chuckled shaking his head. “You first”
He gave you a run for the money, you’d give him that. But in the end you sighed in defeat, knowing you wouldn’t get anywhere without.
“Barba! Where is my client?”, a voice suddenly asked, but neither detective nor sergeant or Captain made any respond to said voice. Rita furrowed her eyebrows and walked over to Barba and stood next to him. She looked through the window and saw you and her client talking.
“I’m gonna stop this immediately”, she said and was about to walk in when Barba stopped her with his hand around her arm gently.
“Wait. Your client isn’t talking. Y/N is” Rita frowned at him but stopped and watched the interrogation. You stood still in the room, feeling your heart beating faster.
“It was my eighteenth birthday”, you started out. “My dad wanted to go out and eat dinner. Celebrate. We all went together. He, my mom, my sister and I”
Barba furrowed his eyebrows at that and Rita noticed. “My dad told me to find my best outfit. Deep down I wanted to take one of his suits but I knew he would freak so I chose the dress I knew he loved so much”, you told and that made everyone frown except for Barba and Olivia.
“You wore dresses when you were younger?”, Carter asked and you turned to him.
“I believe 80% of the population’s eighteen year old girls do”
Everyone froze on the other side of the window. Except for Barba and Olivia. “He’s trans?”, Rollins couldn’t keep herself from saying and Rita smirked.
“Well this just got a whole lot more interesting”, she said making everyone turn to her. She felt the eyes and turned to them. “What?”
“You’re a tranny”, Carter said and you chuckled walking over to him, smacking his head from behind.
“We don’t use that word”
Kat let out a snort while the others stood with smirks on their faces. “He’s got balls, I’ll give him that”, Fin said then thought for a moment. “He does have balls right?”
Everyone turned to him for a moment before turning back to the window. Though Barba could feel the eyes of Olivia and Rita.
“I put on the dress and we went out for dinner”, you continued the story. “It was a nice time. We all had a great time”
“Sounds boring”, Carter said and you rolled your eyes. Of course he thought that was boring.
“That night I went to bed in my favorite pajamas. I laid awake for a few hours, texting some friends”
“But?”
You turned to Carter and he had a smirk on his face. “But then the door to my room opened and… my dad stepped inside”
Rollins felt a hand on her arm and noticed it was Tamin’s. “He walked over to my bed and laid down next to me”
Everyone felt their hearts beat faster as you told the story, their eyes feeling tears coming to surface. You now stood by the window and looked at yourself. Though the others looked right into your eyes and could easily see tears forming.
Barba could see how much you were fighting them, trying to pull yourself together. “He raped you”, Carter said and you looked like you had seen a ghost. It was the first time you had thought about it in years.
“He told my how pretty I looked in the dress. How it was his favorite. He said he wanted to show me how a real man takes care of his girls”
You practically scolded just by thinking about it. “It felt like hours had passed when he was done. He told me to sleep well and then he left”
Carter stared at you and you turned around and met his eyes. “Now. Speak”
He nodded and took the paper that laid for his confession. He began writing and you felt yourself relax. You were surprised you had found the strength to tell the story. The story you hadn’t told anyone before. And hadn’t planned on it either. Until now.
A few minutes later Carter was done and you walked over and read it. Nodding in acceptance you took the rest of the file and walked towards the door. “Was that the only time?”, he suddenly asked as you reached for the door handle and you froze the moment you heard it.
Everyone walked slightly to their left so they could see your face reaction. You sighed and looked down, taking the handle into your palm. “Yes” Carter’s eyes lingered on you, knowing that was a lie.
You walked out and froze as you noticed everyone’s faces. You turned and met Rita’s eyes. She was soft and you thought that she couldn’t get any more beautiful. “Your confession counselor”, you said turning to Barba, handing over the file and he took it into his hands.
“Y/N–“
“Don’t you dare”, you cut him off and turned to Rita. “He’s all yours”
You walked down the hallway and everyone stared at Barba as he looked down at the confession.

The Bar (Elizabeth Donnelly x Reader)
Tumblr media
Lawyer bars sucked. You’d told Elizabeth this several times, but she still insisted on taking you to them. Tonight, she was running a bit late and so you were waiting there by yourself. At least, you wished that you were alone and that a group of defense attorneys weren’t staring at you and taking turns trying to get your attention. Not only were they not your type, but they’d also probably have heart attacks when they saw who you were definitely going home with for the night.
“You look familiar,” one of the guys said. It seemed he was the courageous one of his group, the first to come over. “You clerk for anybody?”
“I don’t have anything to do with law,” you told him. He hummed as he tried to think of where he’d seen you before. “If you don’t mind, I’m waiting for my partner sir. I really think you should leave me alone.”
“If you’re waiting for someone here, you definitely do have something to do with law. The question is, if you’re smart enough to know who has the big bucks. You look like a little lady who could use someone to take care of her,” he said and you scoffed.
“Trust me, I’m well taken care of,” you said and he leaned in towards you. Before he could say whatever stupid comment he’d been planning on, Liz pulled you away from him. You turned to smile at her as you greeted her, “Hi honey.”
“Is this man bothering you?” Liz asked as her arm circled around your waist. He backed away from the two of you, muttering under his breath. “How long was that going on?”
“Pretty much the whole time. First guy to come down here though,” you said as Liz glanced over at his group. She had a smug look on her face as she pushed hair away from your neck before pressing a kiss to your jaw. “If you wanted to kiss me and drink, we could have done this at home.”
“Sometimes, it’s easier to have someone else make your drinks for you,” Liz reasoned. The two of you stayed in the bar for about an hour longer before you were practically begging her to take you home. You really did hate the bar and it seemed that anytime Liz was away from you, one of those defense lawyers was trying to “sweet talk” you into going with them. Eventually, Liz got fed up with having to get in between you and those guys, who would definitely not like her the next time they had her in court.

Law & Order: SVU - You meet again (Preferences)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Alex Cabot, Casey Novak, Liz Donnelly, Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun
Warnings: None
Word count: +900
Alex Cabot
Tumblr media
- It's been 18 years since you saw each other in person, during your teenage years you kept sporadic contact through letters and phone calls. You felt proud of her every step, supporting her in all the courses, internships, sleepless nights studying, but two months before high school graduation the blonde cut ties abruptly, there were many unanswered phone calls and letters that returned or were never answered. This didn't stop you, years later, from sending one last letter to congratulate her when you heard that Alex had graduated in Harvard, her dream since you were kids. In the meantime you went on with your life, graduated, bought a house in Texas and got married at 30, divorced at 32, the dream house was sold and you started your own business in NY, a coffee shop in a good spot. Weeks after opening a group of detectives walked in and you immediately recognized a blonde head accompanying them. Much taller than you remember, wearing a feminine suit that fit her body well, eyebrows coming together in a thoughtful expression that you know well. She took a moment to choose something in the display case, and when she looked up, she was in shock. Your name escaped through her lips in a whisper.
Casey Novak
Tumblr media
- A simple softball game got you three days off work, a mild concussion and a pretty purple eye. The ADA visited you every day since the event, on the day you returned to work the veteran detectives made a few unfunny jokes about you being able to handle big men but getting knocked down by a ball, giving you slaps on the back in consolation for the attempt. At lunchtime you received a bouquet of yellow roses, a box of Swiss chocolate and a handwritten apology card inviting you to dinner to make up for the hospital trip. You had exchanged phone numbers at the hospital, so making the appointment was easy, finding a space in your professional calendar was not, and after two weeks you met at a restaurant a few blocks from your apartment.
Liz Donnelly
Tumblr media
- As you work together you frequently bump into each other in the hallways, there are always cordial greetings and brief conversations about the case you are working on, but nothing beyond that. Two months go by quickly, you seem to have fallen in everyone's favor and perform your tasks with competence, making Alex proud and excited to celebrate your work, especially for being your first formal job in the law area, you meet after work in a chic Manhattan bar, not far from the office. About 15 minutes later another blonde joins you, dressed more casually than usual, a smile painting her lips as she walks toward you after meeting you by happenstance. "Well well well, Cabot and her ward, so what are we celebrating? I'll pay for the drinks."
Olivia Benson
Tumblr media
- The same night of the misunderstanding the Captain sends you a message apologizing for the situation in front of your house. You talked for a few more minutes and she thanks you for always being the one with Noah on the occasions she can't, in the end you agree to let the kids meet on a weekend after their punishment. For your children it was long, but just two weeks forbidden to go out play after school and video games. Evelyn was anxious, running around the house to make sure everything is ready for Noah's arrival, initially you had arranged with the Bensons to meet at the park but the rainy weather made you change your plans, finally deciding on a day of board games. Catan, El Dorado, Detective, Monopoly, even Jenga and Twister, there is a table full of snacks and treats, a wine is kept in the back of the cupboard in case Olivia enjoys it, you don't know what they like so you buy everything. At the appointed hour the doorbell rings and you find mother and son as excited as you are. It would be a fun day.
Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
- She didn't show up for weeks, every Tuesday you drove customers to other tables to reserve that special one in the hope that Rita would show up, which didn't happen. After the fourth Tuesday in a row you gave up. The new manager didn't harass you anymore, while he didn't make things easy at work, denying you overtime and events that usually pay a little more, after all, the generous tip from those rich people is what pays your bills. You chose to resign when you realized that there was no advantage or anything that bound you there, the emergency fund lasted long enough until you got another job, this time in an Italian restaurant, not as fancy as your previous job but much more welcoming. Monday is usually a slow day, you found out after two months as a waitress, so you are alone with the chef, working overtime late at night when she enters the homely environment, looking out of place in her expensive suit and high heels worth a rent. "Miss Calhoun?" you whisper, an involuntary smile on your lips. "I told you to call me Rita, sweetie." she sits up and signals for you to come closer. "What are you doing here? Forgive me, but this restaurant… it's not up to your level, it's not fancy." deep down you wait for the answer that comes next, not being able to think of any other explanation for her being on the other side of the city alone on a week day. "I came after the service of my favorite waitress."

Law & Order: SVU - How you met each other (Preferences)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Alex Cabot, Casey Novak, Liz Donnelly, Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun
Warnings: None
Word count: +800
Alex Cabot
Tumblr media
- Anyone who looks at the ice queen so comfortable in New York urbanism can't imagine the ADA's origins. Anyone would picture her as a library rat as a child, wearing a pearl necklace and sitting at the table with tough-talking adults, which is partially right, but no one could imagine Alexandra Marie Cabot wearing denim overalls shooting cans with a slingshot, swimming naked in the lake, and creating a fort in the tree house. Enjoying what Texas provided for a child. You grew up with this version of her, spending summer vacation afternoons together on the Cabot farm, until she returned for good to New York at age fifteen and never came back.
Casey Novak
Tumblr media
- You knew her before she knew you, Casey's fame in softball extended to several departments, especially yours, narcotics, where you worked for months. The narcotics team hated her, she single-handedly took down their best players and you admire her for it, was beautiful to watch the redhead play, mesmerizing. At the end of the year SVU and Narcotics qualified for the finals, you used to just watch the games until Vizzini retired and left a gap in the team, filled by you, your co-workers pushed you until they convinced you to try even though had never played before. When the day came, you couldn't stand on the field for 10 minutes, Casey's determined eyes made you more nervous than you already were. The last thing you saw before passing out was the ADA bouncing a ball in your direction. And the first thing you see when wake up is Novak sitting in the armchair next to the hospital bed, a guilty expression on her face.
Liz Donnelly
Tumblr media
- Being an ADA is a great responsibility and burden, made even greater by being the half-sister of the brilliant and perfect Alex Cabot, your mother was married three times, she was born from the first marriage and nine years later you were born from a second union. Despite this, the two of you were raised close and she became your inspiration, which led you to study law and follow in your sister's footsteps by becoming an ADA, one of the youngest in SVU. And so you ended up in Liz Donnelly's office, formally introducing yourself after getting the competitive position, with your high grades, extracurricular activities and a recommendation from Alex. "I'm curious to work with Cabot's ward. Welcome, Y/L/N!"
Olivia Benson
Tumblr media
- Being a single mother is hard but Evelyn is a sweet and behaved child, making the process easier. You didn't expect that one drunken night would give you a little brown-eyed angel, the beginning was painful and in time you have adjusted well to a quiet life. And it is because you know how hard and difficult it is to be a single mother that you understand the life of Noah, Eve's best friend at school, and often gave the Bensons a little help, even though you didn't know the boy's mother personally. You were surprised the day Noah got into your car with Evelyn after class claiming that his mother had let him come to your house to study for the test, which you found out was a lie when you found an angry brunette at your door accusing you of kidnapping her son. Needless to say, Evelyn and Noah were grounded for weeks.
Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
- Paying for college is hard when you are young and new to a metropolis like New York, but you are determined to fulfill your dreams and get a degree at NYU, so you have gotten a night job as a waitress in a fancy restaurant and at events on the weekend. Sometimes the weekday work can be exhausting because of the hours, but it pays a decent wage and the customers tip well, especially the brunette in the suit who shows up almost every Tuesday, usually alone, and on other occasions accompanied by men in suits, as if they were in a meeting. She always orders the same wine and the chef's dish. Another Tuesday came and you were having a terrible day, it all started with a test that was annulled by a small detail, then you got rained on way from the dorm to restaurant and the icing on the cake is a new manager harassing you from the moment you arrived. Rita realized what was happening as soon as you attended to her and seemed extremely nervous about his lewd glances across the room, minutes after you left the table the man was there, having an apparently serious conversation with the woman. When you returned to pour the usual wine she seemed satisfied, which made you apprehensive thinking you did something wrong. "Is there a problem, Miss Calhoun?" you asked, standing rigidly beside her. "No, Y/N. But the manager will be soon if he keep acting like this." she smiled and winked at you before dismissing the service with a nod. "And you can call me Rita."

She’s Been to Hell And Back ~S13!Alex Cabot xFem Wife!Reader(feat. Casey, Rita, Liz, Liv & Amanda)
Tumblr media
Summary— Alex is kidnapped and tortured. That’s pretty much it. It’s a very long and indulgent fic of Alex x Reader.
Mommy… Master List
Requests & Prompt-List
Warnings: [MATURE], explicit torture, violence, kidnapping, humiliation, implied torture, angst, anxiety attacks, knife, guns, torture devices, branding, cigarette burns, burning, begging, crying, and so much more mature content, Rita being an aunt and a boss bitch, Liz losing her shit, Munch being munch, Amaro being an asshat, Casey barely keeping it together, read at your own risk!!
Enjoy (;
You stepped into the SVU squad room, looking around at the major bustling and chaos of the room. You fidgeted with the hem of your shirt anxiously, biting your lips and nails as well. You were frozen. You couldn’t process it all. Your eyes then landed on a person who you knew could help.
Casey.
Casey had been the one to call you. She hadn’t told you much, only that you need to come to svu immediately. You had dropped work for this. Left straightaway. It all made you extremely anxious. Why would they need you…? Unless…
You shook the terrible thoughts coming up out of your mind, instead springing into action. You walked up to Casey in the middle of the chaos.
“Hey Case!” You called to the redhead who was swiftly fluttering through pages.
Casey jumped at her name and her eyes shot up to you. Suddenly her gaze softened and she looked at you with concern.
“Y/N’s here!!” Casey shot across the room, and everyone practically stopped in their tracks and looked at you.
You gulped and looked around anxiously, pulling your bag closer to you defensively.
“Case… what’s going on…?” You stammered.
Casey couldn’t meet your gaze. Olivia suddenly came out of the Captain’s office and walked through the squad room, followed by Cragen peeking out of his office, telling everyone to get back to work. The shuffling and bustling immediately picked back up again. The noise wasn’t helping you one bit.
You suddenly felt a hand on your back shoulder, and you jumped slightly. You turned around, relaxing a bit to see it was only Olivia with a warm and caring smile.
“Y/N, let’s go into Cragen’s office, yeah…?” The brunette gently suggested.
After you slowly nodded with parted lips of confusion, Olivia led you by her hand on your back to the Captain’s office. She opened the door for you and closed it behind the two of you. Both SVU members looked tense and concerned.
“What exactly… is going on…?” You tensed out through partially gritted teeth, frustration now hitting you in waves.
Olivia guided you to sit down with her, before she but her lip and explained,
“Y/N… Alex didn’t show up for court a couple of hours ago… We… don’t know where she is. She’s not answering her phone, we can’t track it, it’s dead.”
Your heart sunk. And there was now a limp in your throat. Your heart only raced faster and you suddenly felt dizzy.
Olivia could tell that this was a lot to take in, so she gently held you on both sides of your arms.
“That’s not all…” Cragen sighed.
You looked up at the Captain with glossy eyes and a trembling lip.
“W-what…?” You stammered, bringing your arms into your chest and holding yourself.
“We think Alex was… taken.” He explained slowly.
“W-why would you think that…??” You exclaimed, the anger in you now swelling.
Cragen and Olive exchanged looks. Cragen nodded and relented into the brunettes insistence.
“Come on, let me show you something.” Olivia softly spoke.
She led you outside to the squad room and the media corner. Next to all the screens there was a board. A board of at least 100 photographs. And they were all of Alex. Alex and all the people she interacted with. You were on there, and so was Olivia, and Casey, and Rita, and Liz, and Amanda, and so on.
The pictures were practically Alex’s entire life since she’d been with you. This was years of photos. Some of them looked like they could have been snapped by a news reporter outside the courts. But others, much more intimate pictures of the two of you, could have only been captured by active camera surveillance.
You gasped, bringing your hand to your mouth, as you let out a choked sob that you couldn’t contain anymore. Your stomache sunk. You proceeded to collapse on the floor, and were lucky that Amanda was right by you. The Southern blonde was quick to scoop you up and guide you to take a seat in her desk chair.
She then tried to talk to you, but your mind was spiraling. Suddenly a big boom of stacks of paperwork falling across the squad room brought you back to reality with a jolt.
“Y/N? Y/N, there you are, ‘hun. Hey. Heyyy. It’s going to be okay, alright…?” Amanda reassured you.
“But h-how… do you know that…?” You choked out, the tears continuing to pour out.
At that, Amari and Fin walked into the squad room.
“It’s out lucky day! Perp’s blood was at the scene, that girl put up a fight…!” Amara exclaimed, not having realized that you were there.
You immediately stood up and turned to face Amaro. Nick’s eyes went wide and his face struggled to give away the fact that he knew he had fucked up.
“What scene? What…?? What happened??” You exclaimed with a gasp, frustration and anger running through your veins once more.
Amanda pulled you towards her and into her embrace. Her touch calmed you a little, but right now, you really needed it to be Alex’s touch. After a minute, her hug actually and surprisingly helped.
“Thanks…” you muttered.
Amanda shrugged and smiled lightly, as if it was nothing.
“Learned that in Atlanta, had a partner who had anxiety attacks.” The blonde told you, “It’s a grounding thing.”
You listened and nodded along. But your mind quickly started to wander back to Alex again.
“Wait what scene? Do you know where she was taken…??” You asked.
Amanda sighed and stood up, telling you to wait here. She checked in with Cragen in his office, before coming back to you and grabbing her keys.
“Come on, let’s go for a ride.” Amanda told you, indicating for you to follow her.
You gulped and nodded, silently following the Southern blonde with your wobbly legs. You two got into her patrol car, and she began driving. The ride was silent. You had now become numb, your feelings too much to bear. You didn’t want to go down the rabbit hole of what could go wrong… So you stayed in the ignorance of feeling numb.
After about 15-20 minutes, Amanda pulled up to you and Alex’s shared brownstone. You gulped as your eyes widened as it began to click for you.
“This is…” you stammered, trying to find the words.
“Come on, Darling. I’ll explain inside.” Amanda gently reassured you, squeezing your left hand caringly, before getting out of the car.
You followed the blonde detective up the steps of your brownstone and inside. No one was here anymore. But it was a mess, all taped up with crime scene tape and marked with evidence markers and such. It made your stomache flip upside down when you saw blood on the kitchen doorway.
“What Amaro said, that asshole… was that Alex didn’t go down without a fight…” Amanda explained, taking your hand in reassurance as you walked through the torn apart apartment.
“Alex managed to make her kidnapper bleed.” Amanda breathed out.
At that you looked at the woman with wide eyes.
“So you can find out who they are?” You immediately asked.
Amanda bit her inner cheek and looked way slightly.
“Yeaaa ideally yes… but we already ran it, and he’s not in the system…” she explained.
Any and all hope that you had just gained was lost all over again. Amanda squeezed your hand again in reassurance.
“So what’s next…? What can I do?” You asked, desperate to do anything, to get her back, to see her again.
“First, we are going to walk through your place and go through the events, at least what we know. See if any of it jogs your memory of like someone who would want to harm Alex…” Amanda breathed out.
You shuttered and nodded slowly.
“Then when Olivia and Cragen give the go ahead, I’ll take you back to svu and Olivia will properly interview you…”
You gulped, yet nodded again.
“Ok, let’s do it…” you breathed out.
Amanda nodded and guided you by your hand, walking you through the scene. All your feelings came crashing back as the blonde detective walked you through the theory SVU had of what happened.
Alex hadn’t even left for the office yet, having not needed to go in as early that day… You and already left for work, when someone had come to the door. Alex must have known the person, because she let them in (or they had a gun). The main struggle was in the kitchen. SVU assumed that Alex had most likely tried to reason with whomever the perp was, but it went south in the kitchen. Alex’s blood was on the counter, in a circular mark that upheld that the assailant had violently cracked Alex’s head down upon the counter. There were also blood splatters of Alex’s going from the kitchen and out the door, by the amount and pattern of the blood, it was assumed that the assailant had shot Alex somewhere in the leg, but hadn’t hit a major artery or vein. Luckily, on the kitchen doorway, there was Alex’s bloody partial print, but there blood wasn’t hers. The theory was that before the shooter had incapacitated her, she got a swing or two in, and then when he dragged her out, she made one last attempt to grasp the doorway, leaving the perps blood.
Your heart was pounding in your ears three times as fast as earlier. Tears were pouring down your face and you hadn’t even realized it. Amanda squeezed your hand tighter, as she asked you if it sounded like someone you knew or if it triggered any memories.
“N-no… Mm sorry…” you gasped out in between sobs.
The Southern blonde now came in front of you and took both of your hands.
“Don’t be, you did so good, Y/N.” Amanda comforted you, before receiving a ding on her phone and checking her notifications.
It was Olivia telling Amanda to bring you back. You spent the car ride opposite of the last, filled with all the emotions. You were distraught, and sad, and afraid, and angry, and infuriated, and so much more. Your head was swimming, no drowning it it all. You just wanted a break. You wanted Alex safe in your arms.
Amanda led you back into the squad room, passing you off to Olivia with a reassuring smile. Olivia took you into the family interview room, one that was less jarring than the brick and mortar perp interview/confession rooms. She had you sit on the couch next to her.
“Y/N, Amanda told me that you couldn’t think of anything at the crime scene…”
“Don’t… call it that…” you sputtered, having cried yourself out in the car and now hicupping instead.
Olivia sighed, “Of course, I’m sorry— At your and Alex’s home…”
You had your hands clasped in your lap and you were rocking back and forth anxiously. The brunette detective reached for your hands with her hands and tried to physically comfort you, but you jerked in response, starting to hyperventilate. The brunette detective was quick to retract and stick with her interview questions.
“Besides what you didn’t think of at the crim— your and Alex’s place— Can you think of anyone who would want to hurt you…?” Olivia prodded gently.
You shook your head and then hiccuped. Alex had her hair share of criminals who didn’t like her, but nothing she ever found concerning enough to share with you.
“Alright, what about anyone following you recently…? Notice any reoccurring faces…?” She asked.
You thought about it, going through your last months, if not years in your mind.
“I… don’t think so, no…” you stammered, with two more hiccups.
“Alright… Can I get you some water?”
“Yes please…” you whispered, not being able to handle the eye contact, so you simply shut your eyes.
Olivia muttered something with a hum, letting go of your hands, and leaving the room with the door ajar. You just sat there, with your eyes closed and shaking in your boots. You could hear the noisy clamor of the squad room from the ajar door. It was still just as chaotic, if not more. Tensions were high, and fuses were short.
Before Olivia could come back with your water, a familiar voice boomed while entering the squad room.
“Who the hell didn’t inform me about Alex going missing, and why the fuck did I need to find out like this?!”
You immediately stood up with a jolt, scrambling into the squad room to see Rita standing furiously in the middle of the room, while holding up a manila envelope with her name on it. Calhoun’s determined scowl faltered as she noticed you in the corner. She immediately lowered her mask of defense lawyer and rushed over to you.
Her hands were all of over you, checking to see if you were okay. They landed on each side of your face, as her concerned gaze looked at you.
“Hey Baby… How are you holding up…?” She asked, her eyes still scanning you up and down, before landing on your gaze when she expected an answer.
But all she got was a choked sob from you, your tears now back in full swing. The older woman immediately pulled you in for a hug, which you happily accepted. She hugged you tight and with fierce love, you could feel every fiber of her being that cared through the embrace. When Rita let you go, you wheezed and little and whipped your tears away.
Olivia had by now gotten your water and caught wind of the commotion, now coming up to you and Rita. Rita sent daggers to the brunette detective, making Olivia stop a couple feet away from you.
“What’s in the envelope…?” Olivia quipped, before extending her hand with your water in it.
Rita took the water, examined it, then gave it to you, instructing you to drink, before she considered answering Olivia. When she did, her eyes went sad. The main SVU members had surrounded the two of you, all curious as to what Rita had brought. She opened the envelope and pulled out a hard drive.
“Aha! My area of expertise…!” Munch exclaimed, taking the hard drive from Rita and going over to the media corner to open whatever files were contained within the stick.
You went to follow the rest do the team to see what was on the file, but Rita grabbed you by your arm before you could get too far. You turned back to Rita and looked at the woman who had been your mentor, aunt, mom, practically everything with confusion and glossy eyes.
“ ‘Hun, you may not want to see that…” Rita sighed with deep sadness in her eyes.
She had already seen it.
Your eyes hardened and you frowned. You quickly pulled your hand out of Rita’s grasp.
“Like hell I won’t…” you exclaimed, then turning around and walking up behind the team who were all gathered around Munch who was about to click play on a video file.
Rita came up behind you, her eyes staying on you the entire time as the video played. She watched your face whiten, watched your face wash over in horror, then a wave of anger. She watched your shock, then followed by uncontrollable sadness and tears.
Alex was in the centre of the screen, tied up and hanging by her wrists around a rusty metal bar running along the wall. Her head was hanging low. Her hair frazzled and tired. Her clothing was dirty, torn, and bloody. There was a light sway of her body as it hung from the beam. Her shoes had been discarded. The bottom half of her her stomache was on display, as her shirt was being strained from the position. Her left lower leg was bleeding, presumably from the gunshot from the struggle at the brownstone. Her forehead was all bloody from the blow to the counter.
Suddenly, a person stepped into the frame. They were wearing all black and had their face and voice masked. He had some kind of black colored weapon, almost baton looking in his hand. He laughed wickedly into the camera, before turning his attention to Alex.
“As I can’t torture all of you, unfortunately… One will have to do…” The man tilted his head as he turned on the stick and plunged it against Alex’s exposed side stomache with a cackle.
Alex’s body convulsed and jolted uncontrollably as she was she was hit with volts and volts of burning electricity. She let out a desperate groan, which turned into a silent scream as tears poured down her face, as she fought against her restraints and against the volts. After a couple solid seconds of this, the man finally retracted the insane taser torture. As he moved the torture device back, Alex’s freshly burned skin could be seen, a fresh branded circle on the side of her stomache. The man proceeded to repeat this process for multiple rounds. And the whole time, Alex fought and screamed and convulsed, as tears ran down her face and shirt. Finally, after five burning rounds, Alex passed out. And the man stopped, looking to the camera with a grin.
“No point if the bitch isn’t awake…” He chuckled wickedly, “And that was only Act 1… Dedicated to Detective Olivia Benson…”
Rage was quick to take over your enter being, all the sadness quickly forgotten. You nearly assaulted Olivia right then and there. But Rita saw this coming, and she was quick to hold you back as you attempted to pounce on the brunette detective across from you.
You scowled and fought back, the team all taking a step back from you, all of them just as shocked as you were. But Rita held you firm.
“Shhhh, Baby, it’s okay… Calm down…” Rita cooed into the shell of your ear, “It’s going to be okay, it’s not Olivia’s fault…”
After a couple seconds, Rita managed to get you to promise to not punch the older brunette detective in the face. So she let you go. You huffed and didn’t know what to do. You were hit with another wave of sudden sadness.
As you were having your life crisis, the team began speculating and conversating about what they could learn from the video and how they could find Alex. You weren’t able to focus on them or anything anymore, everything started to just fade away into black.
When you woke up, you were in Rita’s lap, back in the family interview room. For a split second, you felt at peace’s and then reality smacked you back in the face. Rita was beginning to tell you that you had passed out when you began to freak out.
“Hey, Hey. It’s okay, sweetheart. You’re safe, it’s okay.” Rita comforted you, as you sat up startled and distraught.
“N-no it’s n-not… Alex my Lex she’s… she’s…” you choked out, hyperventilating.
Rita was quick to take you into her arms on the couch and comfort you. She ran her fingers through your hair, she rubbed your arms and hands and side, calming you as best as you could.
“Hey. We are going to find this sycko who did this… ok? The team is on it…” Rita insisted and ensured you, “Take some deep breaths for me, Baby…”
You nodded shakily, your entire body shaking in Rita’s arms, as you took some deep breaths. You began to doze off in the woman’s arms, Rita was quick to encourage you to not fight it. And so you dozed off…
You awoke startled once more by a shriek echoing through the squad room and into where you and Rita were. You practically fell off the couch and scrambled out to the squad. Rita was swift behind you. Your eyes fell on Casey, who now had a Manila envelope in her hand with her name on it.
“Where did you get that??” Olivia questioned the redhead.
“I… a junior officer dropped it off… I don’t know, sorry” Casey stammered, handing it off to Olivia who opened it.
“Fin, Amanda, go find that junior officer, maybe he can give us a lead on this guy.” Cragen told his team.
Fin and Amanda nodded and left the room at once. Olivia had found another hard drive, having passed it to Munch to analyze. Rita’s eyes widened as Munch went to press play, and she tried to pull you away once more, but you only pulled away from her and to the screen with more ferocity. With a click from Munch, the video began…
Alex was still in the same position. She was awake again. But barely. Drool was coming from the sides of her mouth as her head lolled down. Her breathing was heavy and labored, affecting her entire body as it hung from the rope attached to her wrists and around the beam.
The man then came back into the camera screen. He held a knife in his hand this time. After taunting the camera, he stalked up to Alex, his free hand roughly grabbing and wrenching her blouse open. The buttons clattered to the floor as the perp moved the torn blouse aside, showing off Alex’s black bra and exposed chest and stomache.
Alex seemed to barely register anything until the knife began slicing her chest. She let out a howl at the pain, deep enough to hurt, but not deep enough to kill. He continued these slices, along her stomache, along her clothed arms as well, and all the way up to her shoulders and neck. He seemed to only be egged on by Alex’s groans and cries, which very quickly turned into begging and pleading for him to stop. Once the man reached her neck, he held the knife firmly along her throat, before speaking. The dozens of cuts all bleed into one another, practically covering Alex’s entire upper body in blood.
“Act 2 is not as bad, because you just sucked at your job…” The man sneered, “But trust me, the next one… I’d be surprised if the bitch doesn’t die… Dedicated to Rita Calhoun.”
Your knees buckled and you collapsed on the floor as Alex let out a particular blood curteling scream in the video. Tears streamed down your face as you couldn’t bring yourself to watch the rest of the video, the audio already taunting you enough. You felt your body go limp and you began to slouch and fall from your knees to the ground completely.
“Turn it off! Off!!” Rita yelled enraged, before dropping to the ground with you and comforting you.
Munch turned the video off, but not before the man was able to dedicate the video to Rita. Rita’s eyes widened and her throat went dry. The whole team stared at the two of you. Rita was dumbfounded at what this had to do with her, but she was quick to spring into action over it.
“Novak. Take Y/N to the diner down the street. She probably hasn’t eaten all day.” Rita commanded the room.
Casey’s eyes widened, and she immediately nodded in understanding.
“Of course, Rita.” Casey said, hurriedly coming over to the two of you.
You tried to protest as Rita handed you over to Casey, but Rita was stern and quickly silenced you, not that you could say anything right now with how overwhelmed you were. Casey was quick to file you out of the room.
You didn’t even remember leaving SVU or getting to the diner, all you remember is suddenly sitting with Casey looking at the late lunch menu. You were shaking and fidgeting like crazy.
Casey reached her hand across the table and squeezed your balled up fist reassuringly. You looked up to the redhead with your stained and now completely dried out eyes, having cried it all out for the second time today.
“Hey. Let’s get you some food, huh…?” Casey hummed.
You nodded slowly. The waitress came, but you couldn’t hear a thing. Casey looked at you with care and understanding, ordering for the both of you. Then once the waitress had left, her attention was on you once more.
“C-Casey…?” You whispered.
Casey leaned in and softly spoke,
“Yes…?”
“How… how are you okay…?” You whispered, a single tear rolling down your cheek as you blinked, “She’s… she’s like your best friend and you hers…”
Casey sighed and squeezed your hand again.
“Y/N, look at me.” Casey hummed, her tone breaking in a falter.
You finally looked at Casey again, and took in her appearance. You suddenly noticed the tear stains on her face and how crazy her long, normally well curled hair was.
“I am not okay. I just… suck at showing my emotions…” Casey explained gently, her own eyes beginning to gloss over as she became more vulnerable.
Your lips pressed together and you smiled lightly, nodding in understanding. You gasped slightly as you felt your phone vibrate once in your pocket. You then felt another vibration. Then one last final third vibrating. You pulled your hands into your lap, away from Casey. The redhead looked at you concerningly.
“Everything okay…?” Casey asked.
“Mm yea… just… need the restroom…” you muttered, before getting out of the diner booth and going to the back where the bathroom was.
Casey nodded, watching you leave, before getting on her phone and updating the team, as well as getting updated by what they had figured out. She let the team know that you were doing okay and that she was about to feed you. She sighed and let out a light groan, trying to process the weight of what was happening, while reading the update from the group chat.
Munch had analyzed the background of the video, having figured out that Alex was being kept in some warehouse. Which one, they had no clue.
Fin and Amanda had gotten no leads from the junior officer, apparently the envelope had been given to him by a homeless looking guy who disappeared as soon as he dropped off the package at the precinct.
Rita, Olivia, and Nick had been spending their time looking over old case files and anything that connected Olivia and Rita along with possibly Alex, in hope to find a perp or bad guy who got away somehow and wanted revenge.
When Casey was done being caught up, the food had come. But you were still in the bathroom… The redhead grew suspicious, getting up from the table and walking to the back of the diner to the bathroom. She knocked on the door, but received no answer. Quickly, she tried your cell. Straight to voicemail.
~~
As you stepped into the bathroom, you couldn’t shake the terrible feeling about the texts, so you locked the door and immediately opened your phone. The texts were all from one unknown number.
Y/N L/N.
Then a video link.
Act 3. Elizabeth Donnelly
You didn’t even click or see the video. Not yet. You saw Liz’s name and couldn’t think of anything else. Liz would know what to do. She always knew what to do.
You carefully escaped from Casey’s gaze and hold out of the back of the diner, rushing to catch a cab to the DA’s office where Liz would most likely be. The ride wasn’t too long, but you still couldn’t bring yourself to press play on that video. Liz would know what to do. She always did.
Once your reached Liz’s office, you didn’t even knock, simply barging in. Liz was talking with a few DA’s, and she was about to dig into whoever interrupted them, but then she saw your state.
“Leave. All of you, now!” Liz ordered, shooing the attorneys away.
You quickly shut and locked the door behind you. Liz looked you up and down.
“Y/N, what is going on…?” The older woman spoke firmly.
You were hyperventilating again. You could sit, you were pacing. But you had to tell her something. And you tried, but you couldn’t bring yourself to explain. Liz stood up, recognizing the signs of an anxiety attack, and coming over to you in concern. She guided you to sit with her on her office couch, asking you again, more softly this time,
“Honey, what’s the matter…?”
You let out a choked sob, bringing out your phone and clicking the video. That was the only thing you could think of. Liz watched your every movement. You pressed play.
Alex was hanging as in the last video, but her blouse was completely gone. Her breathing was shallow and barely there, but she was still alive.
The man showed back up, coming up to the camera to say hello, before quickly turning his attention to Alex once more with the same knife as before in his hands. He grabbed Alex’s chin and pulled her face to meet his gaze. Alex tried to growl and fight back, but the exhaustion on her face was evident. He had probably drugged her up real good so that she didn’t stand a chance… While the man held her face rough with one hand, his other with the knife sliced her bra into pieces. He then let her face go with a smack! before tearing the bra off her body. The vulnerable whimper that Alex let out was distinct. And it only fed into the man’s fantasies. He then bent down to her bottom half and ran the knife down her side, followed by his hands ripping her skirt open. He wrenched that off her as well, throwing it aside. Alex was now left only in her panties. She closed her eyes and went limp, as the man trailed the knife in between her legs and up against her clothed core. He then moved to her thigh and ripped her underwear off with a snap! until she was fully nude, hanging for everyone to see. Another hopeless whimper left Alex as the man suddenly smacked her ass.
Before the video could finish, Liz slammed the phone down onto the ground, effectively pausing it. Your eyes went wide and you looked at the older woman with an open mouth. She looked horrified. But Rage was quick to replace the shock.
“What?! Liz wait—!!” You exclaimed as the blonde stood up and shook her white knuckle fists.
Liz turned back to you, looking you directly in the eyes.
“What in the actual fuck is going on, Y/N?!Why in the hell are you making me watch my daughter be tortured by some psycho???” Liz shrilled.
“Lower your voice!!” You harshly whispered, swiftly standing up and getting in her face, and effectively shutting Liz up for a second with how stern you and suddenly become.
“Then you better goddamn tell me what is going on…” Liz growled.
“OK—” you exclaimed, placing your hand on your forehead and sighing.
You say down again as the overwhelming sadness hit you once more.
“Lex… was taken… didn’t show up in court…” you stammered, “Guy’s been sending… videos…” you choked up.
Liz then picked up the phone from the floor, sitting back down next to you in silence for a moment.
“How many?”
You were jolted out of your grief by her words.
“W-what…?” You stammered.
“How many videos… did he send…?” Liz spoke, trying to sound in control but her own tone faltering and cracking a little.
“This is the third. He usually talks about it in the video…” you said quietly.
This made Liz look at you and then back to the phone. She turned it on and clicked play again. You both sat in anticipation as the video continued.
Alex’s bloody, bruised, and now completely exposed body came back on screen, right where it had left off. Alex flinched as the man smacked her ass a second time.
“Shut up Bitch!! Take it, We all know you want it!!!” The man jeered, before smacking her ass a third time and then grabbing and fondling her tits.
Alex tried to pull away from his touch, she tried to yell or cry or shout, but she found that her body was not taking orders from her mind anymore. Her body had gone limp. But she could feel everything. She could see everything in her line of sight. She could hear everything.
When she went completely silent, unable to protest anymore, the man cackled again, louder and more taunting than ever. He then proceeded to come up to the camera.
“Now, I’m not gonna show you this next bit… I’m going to save that for when you find her dead body… But Act 3 is dedicated to that bitch judge, Elizabeth Donnelly…” the man jeered.
The video then went static for a second. Then the camera came back on and showed an unconscious Alex Cabot, swaying lightly back and forth. Where her body wasn’t sliced and cut, it was bruised. Where her body wasn’t bloody, it was covered in dirt, like it had been thrown at her. The faint and small outlines of cigarette burns were trailed across both of her arms and thighs. Her mouth was filled with an oozing her own blood, as if 100 fists had hit her. And her right tit was branded with a symbol, difficult to make out. All of this and so much worse would be discovered had been done to her…
The video ended and silence took the room. Suddenly you heard crying. You looked over and Liz was hunched over and crying in her lap. You weren’t sure what to do, haven’t ever seen the powerful, older woman so vulnerable before. You just instinctively wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close.
“I… I’m sorry. I didn’t… didn’t know what to do… I thought if I came to you…” you rambled, now feeling guilty for having brought this to Liz.
“Hush… none of that… ssnot your fault.” Liz breathed out in sniffles, accepting your embrace and pressing into you even more, “I know she’s not… my real daughter but if anything happens to her… I… I don’t know what I’d do…”
You two sobbed in each other’s arms for a while. It was only when someone came banging on Liz’s office door with no sudden warning that the two of you jumped apart and off the couch. You went to unlock the door and storming in came a furious Rita.
Rita wouldn’t even hear it from you. She took your phone immediately. All the way back to the squad room, the car was silent between the three of you.
Casey had figured out that you had run away, and she had immediately called SVU. They had divided and conquered all the places they thought you’d go. And the second Liz wasn’t answering her own phone, Casey knew that was where you had gone.
Back in the squad room, Munch began analyzing your phone. You sat in one of the detectives chairs, fidgeting and bouncing your leg, under Rita’s intense gaze. She had made you tell the team everything that had happened. She was not going to let you slip away again. Over her dead body.
Liz immediately threw a fit and started ordering people around. After looking at the files that Olivia and Amara had compiled, it took her five minutes to put it together. Liz found a perp who had escaped jail, whom Olivia had interrogated, Rita had represented and lost, She had judged, and Alex had prosecuted and won.
The second the team had their perp, they began canvassing possible areas. The man leased a piece of warehouse property near the river as it was discovered, so that’s where everyone rushed to go to.
Everyone was on edge.
“I’m gonna go!” You exclaimed to Rita.
“No you are not!!” She shrieked back.
“Why not?!! She’s the love of my life!!!” You yelled, tears running down your face as you screamed.
“Because she might be dead, Y/N!!!!”
Practically the entire squad room went silent at this. They all stared at you and Rita. But quickly, they all began their work again, and the team ran out to the location to find Alex. Both Rita and Liz held you back as you fought to get outside and in a squad car. But they held the upper hand. You collapsed in both of their arms, desperate and exhausted, completely out of energy.
~~
The team did indeed find Alex, although she was barely breathing. They immediately sent her to Mercy’s, where Rita and Liz already had you there waiting. You sat in the waiting room, in between the two woman, shaking and fidgeting restlessly.
Hours went by with no update. Eventually, it was all too much for you. You leaned against Rita’s shoulder for some comfort and before you could stop yourself, you were falling asleep.
~~
“Y/N, love, wake up…” Liz gently woke you, making you snort lightly as you came back to reality.
She was offering you a hand, which you eagerly took to stand up. The nurse came up to you.
“You may see her now. One at a time please.” The nurse told the group of you.
Everyone looked at you and pretty much all agreed in unison and with mere looks that you would be the person going in to see her first.
You entered the hospital room, and immediately came up to Alex’s bedside. You felt relief wash over you that she was here with you and that she was okay. You held one of her hands as she came to.
“Mmm heyyyy…” Alex said in an extremely scratchy and hoarse voice, her head turning slowly towards you.
Tears of joy began to spill out and down your cheeks. You squeezed your wife’s hand lovingly.
“Hi Lex…” you whispered, “How are you feeling…?”
“Like someone pumped an entire pharmacy through me…” Alex groaned lightly, “mm pretty sure I was drugged… most of the time I couldn’t move or speak…” her tone got sad and overwhelmed, as tears started to form on her sapphire eyes.
“Hey hey, it’s okay.” You comforted Alex, who met your gaze again, smiling at the sight of you, “You’re safe with me now, that’s all that matters…”
Alex lightly squeezed your hand now as she smiled. It would be a long road to recovery, but the important thing is that you would be with her every step of the way.
Her squeeze on your hand faded, which you just attributed to the blonde being tired. But then her eyes closed… and then you couldn’t hear her breathing. You jolted when the heart rate monitor started going off.
Suddenly, there were 4-5 hospital staff members in the room, pushing you aside. You stood in the corner of the room, with your hands over your mouth, silent tears flooding down your face. You heard the designated coding sound come from the machine, and you collapsed onto the floor. Everything went numb.
You could vaguely hear a nurse giving you her condolences. You didn’t even reliaze that you were walking out of the room until you stood in front of the group that loved Alex the most. You were violently shaking, you felt like you couldn’t breathe.
Liz was the first own to come up to you, to see what was wrong. And Liz was the first one to understand… You fell to your knees and cried into your hands, not caring anymore. You’d lost the love of your life, your wife, your everything.
Liz looked more emotional and out of control than she’d ever been. She kept stammering that it couldn’t be true, but once a doctor came out and told the entire group the news, Liz let out a distraught wail, covering her face in her hands as she sobbed. Casey immediately buried herself in Liz’s embrace which Liz of course accepted. The last thing you remember about that day was Rita coming up to you and embracing you on the floor…

Bite Me, Choke Me ~Dom!Elizabeth Donnelly xFem Sub!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary— A little smutty blurb with Elizabeth and Reader. A heated making out session in Liz’s lap leads Reader to tests the boundaries a bit… How does Liz take to Reader biting her lip…?
Mommy… Master List
Requests & Prompt-List
Warnings: NSFW, 18+!!, implied smut, making out, chocking, kissing, biting, teasing, taunting, talk of use of belt, ma’am kink, implied future smut, etc.
Enjoy (;
Much to your delight, tonight you found yourself in Elizabeth’s lap lazily making out with her. Her hands wandered along your frame, scraping her nails lightly along your exposed skin and making you shiver. Your hands wrapped around the older blonde, koala-ing yourself to her frame. Her tongue was deep inside you mouth, exploring and making you mewl in pleasurable delight.
You hips began bucking into her lap as you got more and more needy. Liz couldn’t help but chuckle and comment on your neediness, before going back to eating your mouth. Her hold on you only tightened the more you ground, until you couldn’t move at all. You whined in response and gingerly but the older woman’s lower lip.
Before you knew it, one of Liz’s hands was on your throat and squeezing tight in response to your bratty bite. Your eyes popped a little wider and you hasped for air, bucking your hips into her frame. She pulled away and looked at you.
“Did you just bite my lip…?” Liz purred warily.
You gulped and nodded slowly. Liz smirked in response and tightened her grip on your throat, making you wheeze for air and grind down in her lap even more frantically.
“You like that…?”
You nodded vigorously.
“Mmmmm mhmm!!” You choked out, eyes wide and dark, “aghg yes ma’am p-please—!”
Finally, she let your throat go. You sucked in a sharp gasp, air filling your lungs fully once more, leaving you panting in the woman’s lap. Liz then pulled you forward to straddle her thigh and guided your hips to start grinding down on her tensed leg. You yelped and scurried to hold the older blonde’s shoulders for support, eagerly grinding down on her thigh. Liz then leaned in close, right next to the shell of your ear.
“The next time you pull something like that, it’ll be a belt instead of my hand…” Elizabeth cooed.
Jolts of pleasure shook your core from her words, and you weren’t quite sure if Liz was encouraging or discouraging you from trying that again…

Ok you know I’m a whore for angst but since you begged for fluff….
How about #32 “I never knew I could miss someone this much” and a character we don’t see much of… like Liz Donnelly (have fun with it)
Liz Donnelly x reader Warnings: language, all fluff folks.
You'd known when you and Liz had first gotten involved that she was a career woman through and through. She worked long hours, often longer than required, bringing work home with her and sometimes it bled into the weekends. She loved her career and the life that it had brought her, even if it meant babysitting reckless prosecutors on the regular. You had no qualms with this, your own work was important, and it made so that the time you and Liz did spend together was just that much better and more treasured. She never cancelled dates, if she said she was going to be there, she was there and never a moment late. She cherished you, and was incredibly thankful for your patience. If you came downstairs on Sunday morning to find her working through a case file rather than the Sunday crossword, you simply left a kiss on the top of her head before heading into the kitchen. You'd make sure she had fresh coffee topped up and make an easy breakfast for her to eat without having to stop her work before curling up on the couch with a book until she was finished what she needed.
One of the large benefits that came with Liz being such a prominent attorney and bureau chief were the many dinners and galas. While some hated on them, they were always lavish events of free food and drinks, socializing your way through Manhattan as the night went on. Liz had been incredibly proud at the first one she'd brought you to, you not only held your own but proved your wit in a friendly debate with Alex. She loved to show you off at these events, making sure you always had time to take yourself shopping (on her dime of course) the week before. Having you on her arm was the highlight of her night.
The downside of being with someone like Liz was that she often had to travel for work. You'd been surprised when it had first come up, thinking that she worked in the DA's office and occasionally the courtroom. But Elizabeth Donnelly was a name well known in the legal world all across the country. She often guest lectured at colleges and universities, travelling out of state often, spending weeks at a time in Cambridge. You were currently in the midst of one of those weeks, though at least this time it was only five days. Liz had left you with keys to her brownstone, insisting that it was closer to your work that you should stay while she was gone, besides, who else was going to water the plants?
So you made the space a little more your own that week, a couple of work books scattered on the dining room table, a novel on the coffee table that you'd slowly been working through and a few items in the fridge that you couldn't live without. You had a habit of snooping through Liz's closets to find a cozy sweater that had a lingering of her perfume, pulling it on as the warm days morphed into chilly nights, rain often pattering the windows of the brownstone.
It was one of those rainy evenings, you had homemade stew sitting in the crock pot all day, knowing that it would hit the spot at the end of the day. The smells wafted through the house, your stomach beginning to rumble at the thought of dinner. You knew Liz was due home that night but were unaware of the time, so you'd placed one of your favorite vinyl's on, a soft instrumental playlist floating through the house while you started to tidy up. You made sure the sheets were changed, fresh clean and cozy ones waiting, pillows extra fluffed and laundry all done. The kitchen was practically spotless, clean dishes all put away, only a bottle of red wine aerating next to two glasses on the counter. You folded a couple of blankets over the back of the couch and picked up a couple more things in there before you retreated back to kitchen. It wasn't quite dinner time yet, but you could always enjoy a glass of wine while you waited for the timer to go off. Distracted in your own imagination you missed the sound of the door opening and Liz moving through the house. You let out a little squeak when she wrapped around your waist from behind and she chuckled softly, pressing a kiss behind your ear.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." She greeted and you turned in her arms, greeting her with a proper kiss, "smells delicious."
"Thought it was best for a chilly day."
"Second best." She smiled, stealing another kiss, "getting to come home to you is the best. I never knew I could miss someone this much."
"Liz..." you whined, your cheeks heating at her words, "it wasn't even a full week."
"I know. Next time you're coming with me, no objections accepted."
"None needed." You smiled, kissing her softly, "I love you."
"I love you more sweetheart."
