After a whirlwind of emotions in and out of the story, YCYSC is finally finished. I am so glad I even managed it because it was the most angsty thing I’ve written to date and the longest multi chapter fic I’ve written. This definitely isn’t the last you’ll see of Lydia, I still have plenty of AU’s to throw her in (and then there’s also Mama’s Boy). This also isn’t the last you’ll see of soft!Margaret (Danny, and now that the fic is complete I can finally call her her headcanoned name) because fuck I love writing her that way even if I adore how she is in canon. One thing you probably won’t see again from me is psychotic!Maxim but I did LOVE exploring the idea of him basically filling Rebecca’s role and becoming just as terrible a person as she was.

i was messing around with this stupid oc meme i found but then realised as i was going to save it that this is the first file going into my 2023 art folder....... bit embarrassed....... but moving on:

DIES FIRST: albert (thinks he can handle the killer on his own but he can't). annie (does something so stupid and the audience hate her). henry (does something so stupid and the audience hates him). maxim (dies before horror movie plot starts........ suspiciously).

DIES PROTECTING OTHERS: john (happens late in the movie, everyone cries). hank (we all knew he was too sweet and would get himself killed trying to help). laura (does something so stupid and the audience loves her). valens (a side character 5 people in the whole fandom hyperfixate on but everyone else forgot exists immediately after he is off-screen).

SURVIVES BY SKILL: bastian (nobody is remotely surprised, fan favourite, spends the whole movie sad about his wife (laura) dying). georgie (extremely badass, the girls and gays adore him. the straights fear him). nix (super annoying jesus christ, but he's good and he's only annoying because he doesn't like your favourite character and not bc he's ACTUALLY annoying). cal (does nothing by halves, gets into so many situations she shouldn't walk away from but does anyway).

SURVIVES BY LUCK: lily (she had promising skill but ultimately it's luck that she lives). dione (THINKS she's got promising skill but she's only average but it doesnt matter because she is surrounded at all times by people who love her and protect her with their lives). eddie (you thought i was going to let eddie die? think again!). rosie (i cant kill rosie either!?!?!?!)

KILLS THE KILLER: sof & hector (they team up to become an ultra dream team and hector spends the whole time thinking "my god sof could so easily have been the killer. she could've woken up wrong that day and just started butchering. i am glad to be on her good side" and sof doesn't think about him at all, tho occasionally uses him as a human shield)

IS THE KILLER: enyo & honoria (honoria has plans to take over the world and enyo wanted in. enyo is like the evil witch in the background. she and hector have another fight to the death to the death to the death (they're both immortal so just keep respawning and starting again). enyo eventually gives up when she realises it's all over, and honoria dies at the end of the movie. hector will let enyo go and the audience will hate him for it)

THAT SIDE CHARACTER 10 MINUTES INTO THE MOVIE THAT WARNS THE PROTAGS TO STAY AWAY: casper (i had to include him somewhere. his cameo makes exactly four people (whom i can name) yell "NOT HIM AGAIN" and then he never shows up again. we create fan theories about what he got up to while staying out of the plot at all)

Argenti leads you under the mistletoe, he wants to get that special kiss from you at least one time tonight. There's no problem with people seeing you, after all he's very open with his affections for you whenever he can. As long as he get a kiss from you he doesn't mind people staring.

Blade never thought he'd be caught under a mistletoe, in fact he tried to go out of his way to avoid them all night. Now is the time to face the music, or rather face you and your cheeky grin. Caleus blushed so hard when he realized he was standing under the mistletoe with you. There wasn't any eyes on you luckily, everyone was busy talking to each other. He takes that moment to kiss you, a very brief kiss before anyone notices the situation at hand and his blushing face.

Dan Heng was confused at first, he didn't do this very often, and every time he did it didn't mean that much to him. Before it just seemed like a fun human tradition, he didn't think about it. Now he's overthinking it hard, trying to find the perfect angle until you can't wait anymore and pull him into a kiss.

Gepard looks around at all the other knights looking your way and snickering and whispering amongst themselves. If you stood under the mistletoe in private he wouldn't have been so flustered, but in public he can't help but kiss you fast once and then run away while covering his face.

Jing Yuan has mistletoes places all over to maximize the chance of him kissing you as many times as possible. You've lost count of how many times he's pointed up and you saw the plant hanging above you. He was messing with you for sure but you liked kissing him too much to care.

Luocha kisses you really softly, he's trying to give you a gift early, all of the love he wasn't able to give to anyone for so long. That will be the only kiss you get under the mistletoe tonight so you better cherish it. However there are other types of kisses you can get, in private.

Welt doesn't mind kissing you a few times but when it keeps happening he gets suspicious. Sure enough you just happen to dance with him end up under the mistletoe. On your next dance he pulls you in the other direction just before you land under the mistletoe and dipping you down to kiss you so hard it knock the air out of you.
