But I was wondering how old Sun and Moon are in your fairy AU? I know that they are a few centuries old (that came as a SHOCK, by the way), but I was wondering how old they are mentally

They may be centuries old, but they are still rather young for fairies!

Sun and Moon are quite young, mentally. It feels like just due to experience, Moon is more mentally older than Sun. He's spent a lot of time protecting Sun and being both sword and shield. But the twins harbor a lot of innocence, still. Even Lunar.

There is one who is the youngest mentally amongst the fairies, though.

hey what's the deal with Mental Age 👀

Mental Age is going to be about a villain who can rewrite the laws of the universe within a short range inserting herself into UA and making everyone love her. She tries to erase Hagakure to take her spot in the class, but because the limits of the villain's quirk, Hagakure always reforms eventually. So it's about arguably the weakest member of class 1A facing off against a god all by herself.

The idea was inspired by classic overpowered marry sue self-inserts and the reality shifter trend. I don't believe in it, but if it were real, it would be pretty unethical. Kicking down the door of another world and using your god powers to force everyone to like you, erasing characters you don't like, mind-controlling some characters to hurt others just so you can be the shoulder to cry on. Again, I don't think it's real, but it's a great set up for a fictional bad guy.

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER. PERSONAL ISSUES

Today a random boy (around 16 y.o) stopped me on the street. He asked me to buy a newish stuff for his vape. He is under 18, so he can’t buy it legally. I agreed. He was so excited. Then suddenly his smile was gone and he asked “are you 18 years old?” , I answered “I’m much older than that. I’m 24”. He surprisingly replied “wow. you don’t look like that at all”.

Honestly, it’s so annoying to look like a teen, be 24 and be 35+ emotionally at the same time. I’ve always been way too emotionally matured for my age.

The whole situation reminds me of a scene from Twilight

– How old are you?

– 17

– How long have you been 17?

– A while.

I have ambitions and I know how our surroundings shape us. If your two friends are millionaires, so the third millionaire is you. I just wanna more. It’s a normal desire. So, it’s so freaking hard to connect with others. I can’t handle meaningless conversations with peers, I get bored quickly. Also I don’t want to be mommy for them. At the same older folks judge me by my youngish cover and don’t want to deal with such kid as me. They just don’t know who am I and what can I bring to the table. When 30+ people get know me better, they start to learn from me. Some of them become mad or jealous of my maturity and awareness (I don’t show it of), I become a trigger for them - an alive reminder that they wested lots of time doing meaningless things during their 20s. To tell the truth, not all older individuals are interesting for me, lots of them are lack of personal evolution and complexity.

I know that 10 years later I will love and appreciate my young appearance way more, and roll eyes remembering my previous complaints.

Childish-Yet-Mature autism is a term coined by me with its very own flag(Might work on the name later atleast since I know it's not the best sadly due to my brain not functioning at its best efforts again). The definition is basically about one of my own specific autistic struggles in life where even when masking you realize you act younger aka more childish than most people your physical age but deep down despite your behaviors you still feel as if you grew up too fast like you've become mentally an adult due to trauma or a combination of bad memories from your past childhood.
