Siendo mamá soltera.
Ser mamá soltera fue mi elección.
No, no fue como lo tenía planeado y no desperté un día y pensé, ah quiero hacerme cargo de mis hijos yo sola.
Vivir con ellos y estar solita y llevarlos y traerlos a todos lados.
No, no fue así.
Pero si fue mi elección seguir sin su papá.
Hablar de una relación de pareja siempre es complicado.
Solo dos personas serán las que estén al pendiente y sabrán realmente lo que pasó.
No es mi lugar hablar de nuestra relación.
Pero si puedo hablar de mí, y lo que me rodea.
Ser mamá es un problema.
Yo siento que ser mamá es complejo, engañoso y nada certero.
No puedes tener un instructivo y pase lo que pase y hagas lo que hagas no sabes en qué terminará todo.
Es subjetivo.
Solo quien es mamá puede experimentar o saber su propia historia.
Ninguna se repite.
Pueden parecerse, pero jamás serán iguales.
Ser mamá es trabajo no remunerado. Y es el trabajo más difícil del mundo.
Es ponerte al frente a que te apedreen sin poner ni meter las manos.
Es como saltar del puente sin saber si la cuerda aguantará, o tu cuerpo resistirá el rebote…y aún así en la caída por muy bien que aterrices o que intentes caer, seguramente tendrás alguna lesión.
Habrá quien la libre más holgadamente, habrá quien termine llena de moretones pero al final todas salimos lastimadas.
Es únicamente algo que siendo mujer ser puede experimentar. Solo siendo mujer se puede saber lo que es.
Nadie puede saber que se siente a menos de que seas mujer y te toque experimentarlo.
Cuando decidí ser mamá sabía que me enfrentaría a miles de retos.
Nunca imaginé que podría sentir tanto dolor y tristeza pero a la vez no he conocido mayor alegría.
Ser mamá me ha traído el mayor dolor. El más profundo dolor.
Gracias a ser mamá tengo las peores pesadillas y lloro y lloro mucho.
Ser mamá me da miedo todos los días.
Pero aquí estoy.
Esperando poder librar el reto con todo y sus moretones y los madrazos que esta maternidad traiga.
Porque la alegría mas grande ha sido siendo mamá.
El mayor amor y el más puro lo encontré cuando me hice mamá y lo veo todos los días sin que me lo digan o lo muestren.
Conocí el amor verdadero al se mamá.
Ser mamá soltera es todo un reto.
Creo que en el fondo muchas mamás casadas o con pareja son mamás solteras.
Siento que mi mamá lo fue siempre y lo sigue siendo.
En algún momento de mi niñez lo pude ver, pero realmente lo entendí hasta que crecí.
Se que mis hijos tienen a su papá y me alegro que tengan tan buena relación y que lo quieran y lo ven siempre y él está al pendiente y los ame tanto y que haga el esfuerzo y eso es maravilloso …pero yo sigo siendo mamá soltera.
Yo estoy y he estado ahí desde día 1 y estaré hasta mi ultimo aliento.
El está al pendiente a su manera. Pero yo sigo estando sola con los niños.
No se que significa ser papá, o ser papá soltero.
Esa no es una historia que yo pueda contar.
La que cuento es la mía la de mi perspectiva y la de mi lado.
Admiro a los papás que están ahí.
Me encantan las conexiones papá /hijo/hija.
Añoro a que los míos continúen la suya .
Pero yo soy mamá soltera.
Por decisión propia y con convicción de ser lo correcto.
Y así ha sido siempre. No demerita el hecho que esté él presente ni todo el esfuerzo que pueda o no hacer por nuestros hijos.
Sigo siendo mamá soltera y es posible que sea egoísta de mi parte pero a lo mejor así ha sido siempre y estoy segura de que es la mejor decisión que pude tomar.
Esa fue mi decisión y esa ha sido la mejor opción para todos .
Y si, ser mamá es un problema.
Todos los días despierto y pienso qué sigue para que ellos estén bien.
Para que hoy sea un gran día.
Para tener oído y escuchar si se sienten mal, confundidos o tristes. Para identificar o notar la diferencia entre estar aburridos o deprimidos o enojados.
Me pregunto si no están siendo mal influenciados por algún amigo o por algo que esté de moda y que hayan visto y que no me haya yo percatado y no hay tenido oportunidad de explicar .
Me pregunto todos los días si no la regaré con la decisión de la comida.
Les di bien de comer? Es suficiente? Necesitan mas fibra? Deberían comer verduras? Hoy les di suficiente fruta? Tomaron agua?
Está bien o mal que se desvelen? Se despertaron mas tarde, soñaron cosas? Que traerán en la mente? Estarán bien? Que cosas no me dicen?
Que miedos tienen? Estaré contestando sus dudas en todo lo que tengan dudas?
Y luego me siento y los disfruto.
Les doy su espacio.
Los abrazo
Los siento.
Los huelo, los vuelvo a abrazar y no quiero soltarlos.
Los lleno de besos y les digo cuánto los amo.
Saben que los voy a cuidar siempre porque siempre se los recuerdo.
Saben que estamos solos pero que somos equipo.
Así lo decidí.
Me encargo de todo porque así me gusta.
Necesitan todos los días a su papá y sé que lo extrañan. Pero saben que mamá se encarga de solucionar cualquier contratiempo.
Ser mamá es un problema pero como todos los problemas, este tiene solución.
La encuentro en sus caras todos los días.
En los retos que se me presentan para salir adelante.
En las miles de preguntas que tengo y que voy contestando una a una.
En las enseñanzas que ellos me dejan a mi.
Me pregunto si entienden realmente lo que pasa.
Y sueño…sueño con que estarán bien.
Sueño con que todo se irá acomodando.
Tengo esperanzas de que crecerán bien y harán sus propios caminos y su vida será muy plena.
Y es cuando tomo un respiro, descanso y los disfruto mas.
Me imagino todo lo bueno y disipo mis dudas y mis miedos.
Imagino que pueden tener algo mejor y que sus propios sueños se harán realidad.
Les enseño que todo es posible cuando se quiere y se trabaja de forma constante hasta lograr completarlos.
Les doy esperanza y seguridad y sobretodo amor, mucho amor.
Soy mamá soltera. Y todos los días necesito ayuda porque estar sola no significa poder hacer todo mágicamente.
Siempre me preguntan que cómo le hago.
La realidad es más complicada.
No se que hago ni como lo hago pero vaya que le pongo ganas.
Me cuesta trabajo entender y organizar todo pero no dejo de intentarlo.
Procuro tomar un día a la vez y se que todo se irá acomodando.
Se que mis hijos se irán pronto y anhelo que lo hagan preparados para enfrentar al mundo.
Se que tomarán sus propios caminos y nada me hará mas feliz que verlos felices a ellos siempre.
No tengo resentimientos, no odio a nadie, no me siento mejor ni mas y mucho menos me siento especial.
Tengo tranquilidad y mucha mucha esperanza en lo que hago.
Pongo mi Fé en el trabajo que hago con ellos todos los días y así me doy fuerza para levantarme y estar bien yo y así lograr que ellos también lo estén.
Se que estando bien yo, ellos estarán aún mejor.
Me cuido yo y los cuido a ellos.
Me procuro yo y hago que ellos estén mejor.
Me manejo como equipo y así sabemos que contamos uno con otro.
Estoy sola pero tranquila con ellos, por mi y por ellos.

A New Mama
Being a mom is the greatest gift from God, but it’s definitely LOTS of work. People tell you so many things, but trust me EVERY NEWBORN IS DIFFERENT! Some sleep throughout the night (mine doesn’t, she has her own party that she throws every night😄) some babies are okay around other people (mine is super specific on who she wants to be around with, BTW she is only 4 months!!!!!) When my baby was a newborn, she would never sleep at night and people say oh she will get better after the 40th day (that’s an arab thing😅) BUT SHE DIDN’T. It took her a bit, but I am thankful for everything that she is right now. Don’t let people tell you what to do! You know your baby more than everyone else, just because your aunt’s second cousin’s daughter did something and worked for her baby, doesn’t mean it will work on your baby! But people will still interfere on how you feed your baby, change your baby, what your baby should watch or wear! Oh the funniest is, i am an Arab! So, when my daughter was born, she was Jaundice, my dad and in laws insisted on putting a yellow amber stone attached on her bassinet, they said it will pull the yellow out of her skin😅😅😅😅 YUP THEY MADE ME DO THAT! (I did it out of respect don’t ever think i believe in that). Life with a baby is so stressful and requires so much work. The times that i felt that i am going to breakdown and that I couldn’t do it anymore are countless, but it’s so important to have support from your significant other or any close person to help you get up on your feet and do it again!! Also PRAYERS.. PRAY PRAY AND PRAY. God help you and gives you strength that you never thought that you will have but he does. Always remember GOD IS SO GREAT.
