Dazai

Dazai treasures rainy days more than anything.

“Oops sorry Kunikida, I can’t come in to work!!! Rain is just sooo heavy you know?”

The office is literally down the block he’s just not bothered

Who needs work when he has his beautiful partner?!

That’s what he whispers to you with a giggle and a grin as he nuzzles into your back.

Most times, that’s all it really comes to: a sleepy Dazai, cute compliments, and being lovingly held against your will.

Other days, it isn’t so easy.

He’s like a rock. The only notion you have that he’s awake is one of his eyes staring at the window outside, at the rain. He doesn’t even message about his absence in advance this time – that’s up to you.

He isn’t as snuggly, but he doesn’t stop you from wrapping your arms around him and holding him.

Eating isn’t exactly something on his mind on these sort of days. Even with that in mind, he’s always sure to quietly thank you when you hand-feed him meals.

Those days are difficult, but you make them easier.

“You have work today, right? Don’t bother with the dishes,” Dazai calls out to you from the bedroom. The clattering of the porcelain couldn’t exactly be hidden, you admit. Dazai sighs as you continue washing and drying. New weight on the bed behind him makes him aware of your presence a few minutes later. Your arms wrap around him without hesitation. “You don’t have to stay,” he says to you when the silence becomes too much for him. You merely snuggle further into his bandaged body. “Yeah. I want to, though.” To his own surprise, Dazai relaxes into your touch and words. “...Well.” He smiles for the first time all day, softly, and his eyes linger up to the rainfall again. “If you say so.”

Chuuya

Days off are all too rare in Chuuya’s line of work.

As soon as he’s free, he’s tiredly at your side, and he is not leaving.

Seriously he is … so clingy when he’s tired. Whether you’re shorter or taller than him, prepare for his arms to be slung over your shoulders and his face in your hair.

Mention it to him and he’s grumbling all crabby lol.

You’ll have to wake up in the mornings to his work clothes sloppily discarded throughout the hallway to your room. He wanted to conk out STAT.

He insists he’ll pick it up later (when he’s getting dressed for work again)

Rainy days aren’t exactly anything that stops him from working, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t take the opportunity to call in for a day off once in a while. He can almost hear the smile on Mori’s face over the phone telling him to enjoy it.

He’s fairly average at cooking when he eventually does get up, maybe sometime in early afternoon. If he’s too sleepy though? …Yeah, keep him away from the heat.

Overall, it feels… super domestic having these free days with him. He wouldn’t mind this every day, if the opportunity presents itself.

If you knew you’d be greeted to this, you would have woken up a little earlier to at least catch him. “Mornin’!” Chuuya leans back against the kitchen counter, breakfast on the table between you two. A tired smirk is on his face, proud of his cooking. Simply dressed in his work shirt and his boxers, the look of him is just too much for you to handle right now. You walk over to give him a small peck on the cheek, thanking him gently. As you eat, wondering what it’d be like if he could make you breakfast every morning, you glance up and point a fork at him. “After this, I want some snuggles for at least another hour.” Chuuya couldn’t stop himself from scoffing playfully at your ‘threat’, resting his chin on his palm. “Well… I’ll see what I can do.” You smile, digging back into your food. You know he wouldn’t let you go once you’re back under covers.

Fyodor

It all started with you judgementally asking if he even has a life outside his work.

You didn’t expect him to get so offended, but his glance over and raised eyebrow gave you all you needed to know about his answer.

The next morning, you didn’t expect to actually have him be beside you as you shake slumber off you. He’s almost always at his computer by the time you’re up.

It’s not as if Fyodor is neglectful in any way, he’s just … a little peculiar in his habits, for lack of any nicer terms.

Before you could even ask, he’s already greeting you in a gentle voice, tacking on a sweet nickname on the end of it.

Oh. Oh he was awake the whole time.

This is a competition to him.

You could almost sigh in disbelief. For someone supposedly so intelligent and wise, he sure has his moments.

Rainy days with Fyodor are spent with him suggesting activities to do together, but it’s very obvious he just put “at home activities” in the search bar and clicked the first link.

You don’t remember having this many board games. How did he do this.

The night comes to a close as Fyodor sits with you in his lap, finishing up some professionally recorded opera of sorts. You couldn’t understand half of it, but Fyodor laughed at it a few times, so it must have been good. His chin rests on your shoulder and you can feel his smile. “So, did I prove you wrong?” “...What, about having a life?” You can’t help but roll your eyes. “You sure proved something alright.” Fyodor hums, sarcasm dripping from just that single note. “You should treat me more fairly. I wouldn’t do this for anyone else.” You would bite back with another retort, if not for Fyodor twisting his neck so he could peck your lips before resting back against the chair. Trying to ignore the flush of your cheeks, you sigh. “You’ll get it with practice.” “Ah, so there IS a next time.” “Shut it.”

Here is my thread from twitter i wrote about my theory about Fyodor’s ability not working on ability users. I wanted to get this posted here before we learn even more about it than in the next chapter probably lol I’m probably wrong given how old Fyodor is there’s probably plenty we don’t know and haven’t seen yet. But I still think this is interesting to talk about :) (Also I had more images to add but I will have to wait till i have access to my PC to add more cause the mobile app won’t let me)

So what if Fyodor can’t use his ability on ability users? We haven’t really seen him use it on other gifted, we’ve seen him shoot/manipulate gifted but not use Crime & Punishment on them.

People he did use it on were normal people and the people who have touched him & lived are all ability users.

If Fyodor has used C&P on an ability user, please let me know but I can’t find a particular instance he does.

Either way, his ability is probably something he either is consciously controlling or the ability itself is selective in some way with normal people because this kid touches him with a cloth.

Meanwhile this agent has gloves on but Fyodor still kills him with C&P. So, clothes/cloth isn’t the difference on its own.

Like i said, it’s gotta either be he *does* have control in some capacity or Crime & Punishment is selective on its own, regardless if it affects gifted or not.

But even if it is selective or controlled why never use it on the gifted?

The people he claims to want gone the most? It would also make sense why he really wants the book to write ability users out of the world. If his ability doesn’t work on them, maybe that’s why he see them as sinners.

If Fyodor has an ability he believes is a blessing or something that’s “holy”, something bestowed upon him by god then him believing ability users are sin/sinners because that “holy” ability doesn’t work on them could make sense. It’s why he wants the book to completely erase them.

But also, a different extension of this is maybe Fyodor views the book as holy because of its power. Maybe someone say, stole the book to create ability users. Fyodor would want to correct that “sin”. And maybe his ability doesn’t work on anything made by the book, thus why it doesn’t work on ability users.

But that aside, either explanation could also explain Fyodor’s fascination with Dazai (aside with his intellect), Dazai’s a walking contradiction.

The ability user who cannot be unaffected by abilities. Fyodor may even see it as Dazai can’t be touched by their “sin” and maybe is tied to the book in some way. Of course such a thing would grab his attention.

It could also explain Fyodor’s reverence for Sigma, a being created by the book. He seems to hold the book in high regard & even Ranpo himself says the book was created by smth “greater”.

If Fyodor sees the book as a tool from god, he would think highly Sigma being born from it. Similar in the way he may view Dazai

I don’t believe Fyodor did anything to Sigma. (Addition to this repost: I still believe this. I still think it’s just information overload. That’s why he’s not waking up with skk. We were told about this for a reason and given Fyodor is old af it makes sense he as SO MUCH information to go through)

As Ango explained, you can pass out from too much information & Atsushi passed out from a small amount.

Sigma requested to know *everything*. I think Fyodor knew what he knows would fry Sigma’s brain. That said, I think Sigma will wake up.

(Again, addition to this repost: now that we know it’s like hundreds of years of information of course that would be hard for his brian to process)

(I will add to this next bit because we have more information from chapter 113.)

Whatever Sigma learned, he knew he had to tell the agency right away. He obviously knows more than just how Fyodor’s ability works but i’m sure he thinks the agency needs to know something *specific* he learned about Fyodor and/or his plans & ability.

(Addition: It’s interesting Sigma said this given he’s only *just now* going through Fyodor’s memories and seeing how old actually Fyodor is. I wonder if that is what he wants to tell them or if it’s *how* Fyodor is so old that he feels must be shared with the agency. I feel it’s definitely Sigma wants to tell them that he knows *how* Fyodor is that old. As he says “I know *what* Dostoyevsky really is. Not who, *what* he is. Interesting.)

Back to the main point, assuming his ability wasn’t used on Sigma (it wasn’t), Fyodor hasn’t used his ability to kill ability users.

He shot Dazai’s accomplice, he “shot” Katai as well. He manipulated Ace into killing himself. He wanted these people dead, why not use his ability?

Chuuya & Nikolai touched him without anything happening. Of course like I said, Fyodor can either control his ability or it’s selective on its own. So he could’ve chosen *not* to use it on Chuuya & Nikolai or for some reason his ability just didn’t care about them.

But still, why hasn’t he used it on other gifted? Like the first 3 i listed, he wanted dead right? He also choses to manipulate gifted like Mushitaro or mutilates them like Ivan & we’re not sure if he touched them or not. If he himself did the surgery on Ivan he had to have touched him.

Even with Shibusawa, Fyodor cuts his throat. He doesn’t try to use crime & punishment. Of course, Shibusawa was “dead” already so it could be a different case.

He also never went up against Natsume directly in untold origins, although in the novel Fyodor is only eluded to and we never see. But maybe Natsume is “that man” Fyodor refers to. (Though now it could be Bram given 113?).

You could also throw in Fyodor stabbing Mori instead of using his ability on him in there. But in this case Fyodor’s objective was to pit the ADA & PM against each other so they would take each other out. Though there’s an argument he still could have done that & kill Mori here.

But let’s just assume he didn’t want Mori dead because of his plan to pit the two organizations against each other. So, I won’t touch more on Mori other than he must’ve touched Mori when he stabbed him, but since Fyodor seems to have some control over C&P let’s also say he just didn’t activate it here.

No one knows how Fyodor’s ability works aside Fyodor himself (Sigma might know now, we’ll probably know in a chapter coming up).

Even Dazai, which is why Dazai hasn’t wanted to give him the opportunity to touch him. He’s see what we have, people touching him & dying. So until Dazai knows for sure how his ability works, why risk touching him.

That’s why Dazai was hoping Sigma would help (assuming we believe Dazai when he says he doesn’t know how Fyodor’s ability works).

Sigma should now know both Fyodor’s plans & his ability & i’m sure he’s going to wake up and tell skk. Then Dazai will know.

But what if Fyodor was secretive about his ability because it doesn’t actually work against gifted? He wants ability users gone & it only benefits him for people to believe he can kill anyone with a touch. So why wouldn’t he play into that assumption?

We also haven’t seen too much of his interaction with other DOA members (Addition: aside we now know Fyodor and Bram go way back and Bram may even know more about Fyodor's ability, but he might not). We've only seen Nikolai & Sigma & we only see Sigma touch him once, to get information & Nikolai holding his hands. Nikolai admitted he doesn’t know about Fyodor’s ability either, hence saving Sigma to help.

I believe Fyodor would want to use his ability on gifted if he could, like Ace or Katai etc. People he knew he wanted dead and wouldn’t serve another purpose. But he doesn’t seem to use it. (Again if we have seen him somewhere use it on an ability user please let me know). But since he doesn’t seem to use it on gifted, maybe he just *can’t*.

He could just be choosing not to for all those instances for one reason or another & it does work on gifted and we just haven’t seen it yet. We just don’t really know but I’m sure we will soon.

This is just a fun theory, one that will probably be proven wrong to be honest haha so take it as you will. Everyone has their own interpretations and we will find out in canon soon enough.

Summary of the BSD Stage Dead Apple Synopsis

▼Beginning

The play starts with Atsushi looking for Dazai (as tasked by Kunikida to attend the ADA mtg) Differing from the movie, he doesn't find him.

Atsushi meets Shibusawa on the street instead when Shibusawa saved an elderly crossing the street, making him think that Shibusawa is a kind person.

Atsushi thinks that they have met somewhere before but can't remember it exactly.

Kyouka then meets Atsushi about the Ability Users Suicide Case.

▼Akutagawa pursues Shibusawa

Chuuya and Akutagawa are talking on the phone. Akutagawa is tasked to pursue Shibusawa as the perpetrator of the Dragon Head Conflict.

However, Akutagawa was physically attacked by Dazai from behind - he snapped Aku’s neck, then stepped on him - causing him to lose consciousness (though he recognizes Dazai before passing out).

Dazai then comes with Shibusawa.

The day when Dazai took Akutagawa to the Port Mafia is shown. Akutagawa wakes up from the dream and remembers Dazai attacked him.

An Ability user suddenly comes out of nowhere. Akutagawa fights him and realizes that he can't use Rashomon.

Chuuya comes to save him. Apparently, it's an Ability that got separated from its user.

Chuuya then explains Shibusawa's Ability and says that the mist engulfing Yokohama is actually the breath of a dragon.

Akutagawa then asks why Chuuya's Ability doesn't separate from him.

Chuuya answers that his Ability is quite special and isn't something small that can be taken easily by this fog. And if his Ability happens to separate from him, it will be the end of Yokohama.

Chuuya gives Akutagawa a new mission - to kill Dazai, because he's the one who took Shibusawa to Yokohama.

Akutagawa laughs, saying that he doesn't believe that because the Dazai now wants peace in Yokohama.

Chuuya laughs at him. He says that he's known Dazai for 7 years and were once partners so he knows Dazai - he knows that no one can tell what Dazai is thinking. There's a monster inside Dazai that no one can understand.

Aku claims that he can understand Dazai so Chuuya asks him why Dazai left the Mafia, but Aku couldn't answer. Chuuya says that he doesn't care if Aku looks up to Dazai but as for him, he's never looked up to Dazai even once. He then tells him to his face that Aku going all "Dazai-san, Dazai-san" and accepting everything he says - is probably the reason why Dazai doesn't approve of him.

Aku gets mad and attacks him to no avail. Chuuya taunts him further saying that if he doesn't do something about this mist, he'll remain weak.

Rashomon appears in the background. Chuuya says that Rashomon is just looking at him and not attacking him as if putting Aku to a test.

Chuuya says that without his Ability, Aku can never land a single punch at him.

Aku accepts the mission and says that he will beat Chuuya right after.

Dazai walks to the center. There's a voice-over of Oda when he told Dazai that the good or bad side doesn't make much difference to him.

Shibusawa arrives.

Dazai says he's happy working with him.

Fyodor arrives saying that Shibusawa shouldn't believe Dazai. (Fyodor does a mini violin performance, talk about grand entrance lol)

It seems that Dazai didn't know beforehand that Fyodor is part of the plan.

Fyodor says that he's just a rat on the side that will help a bit.

Dazai realizes that Fyodor's role is to keep him in check.

Shibusawa says that he can actually accomplish all his plans on his own without them, but it would be boring.

Dazai agrees that it indeed wouldn't be boring because no one knows who will betray who.

▼Atsushi, Aku, Kyouka in the Mafia passage

Atsushi argues with Aku on the way, saying things that it's his fault that Kyouka suffered in the Mafia. He told them that he should never come close to Kyouka ever and talk as if he knows her.

Aku then retorts back asking Atsushi what he actually knows about Kyouka.

Atsushi says that he knows a lot stating things like Kyouka likes tofu and bunnies, and hates lightning.

Aku asks him about her past but Atsushi wasn't able to answer. Aku narrates that Kyouka's parents were killed by Demon Snow and she was picked up by the Mafia, and was then trained by a Port Mafia Executive known as the best Assassin in the world (in reference to Verlaine).

Aku then adds that he also knows that Kyouka hates flies and dogs, and likes ghosts and hydrangeas. He knows more about Kyouka so it's his win.

Unable to come up with other things about Kyouka, Atsushi resorts to bickering.

Atsushi: You're a sore loser!

Aku: Orphanage castaway!

Sushi, visibly hurt from Aku's comeback: You don't change clothes!

Aku, visibly hurt from Sushi's comeback: I wash it every time!

Sushi: Huh? Do you also wear that when sleeping?

Aku: I'm gonna kill you!

They were then stopped by Kyouka.

Before they go out of the passageway, Kyouka attempts to check if her phone can connect somewhere.

Aku gently stops her telling her that that phone is the one used to control her Ability and would be bad if it connects.

Kyouka says that there's nothing to worry about because there's no signal.

Kyouka asks him if Aku tried the Mafia's communication device and Aku says that it can't connect too.

(Note: When Aku talks to Kyouka his voice is calm and softer than usual)

Atsushi, feeling out of place, silently watches them from the side. "You two, you actually get along well, huh..."

▼Demon Snow Battle

The trio go back outside the streets and comes to face Demon Snow. They ran back to the Mafia passageway but Demon Snow just follows them and slices the door. Byakko then also appears.

Kyouka's phone rings. When she answers it, the scene flashbacks to the time when her parents died (same scene with the manga) with her mom explaining what truly happened, and then advises Kyouka how to control Demon Snow.

They were able to beat Demon Snow after and the Ability goes back to Kyouka.

Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka continue to walk in the mist-covered street. Atsushi suggests to Kyouka that they should hold hands so they don't get separated. Kyouka agreed and held out her hand, but then asked Atsushi about Aku.

Sushi: Eh?

Kyouka:

Sushi: Eh?

Kyouka: Should I hold his hand?

Sushi: No way!

Kyouka: Then you should hold his hand

Sushi: Ehhhh, t-there's no way I would... i-it's Akutagawa...

Kyouka:

Sushi: Aahh, there are no other hands in here so fine!

Atsushi settles to offer the dangling part of his belt for Aku to hold on to (lol he's pointing his ass in the process because the belt is on his back like a tail). Aku reaches for it, but was taken away by Rashomon before Atsushi and Kyouka can see him

▼Aku vs Rashomon Battle

Aku uses his gun to fight against Rashomon. Just when he thought he won, he is then caught and pierced by Rashomon. At first Aku thought that Rashomon is fighting him to test if he's worth it as Rashomon's "owner", but then realized that Rashomon is actually filled with wrath - Aku's wrath towards his weak self.

Scenes flashback to Chuuya telling Aku why Dazai doesn't approve of him, of Atsushi telling him that he lost against him and is still not recognized by Dazai, and of Dazai telling him that his new subordinate is better and he doesn't need Aku.

Aku makes Rashomon remember all these, of what they went through, of what they are mad about, of what they both desire. If Aku doesn't beat Rashomon then he will be a part of Shibusawa's collection and will never get what they desire.

Before Rashomon ends Aku, he sets the bomb off and beats him eventually.

Aku returns to Atsushi and Kyouka thereafter, and Atsushi was surprised to see him covered in bruises.

▼White Trio Betrayal Scene

Fyodor sees Dazai suspiciously trying to enter the Draconia room. They went inside after Fyodor tells him that Shibusawa is not there. Dazai reveals his motives to Fyodor, and Fyodor hands him the crystals. Before Dazai can touch them Shibusawa stabs him from behind. Dazai dies. (scenes are almost the same as the movie)

After Dazai dies, Shibusawa also kills Fyodor, grabbing him on the top of his head, lifting him up, and then breaking his neck.

Shibusawa laughs (like a villain) saying that his plans succeeded.

Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka are riding an elevator, standing side by side. Because the ride is taking quite long, Atsushi tries to make small talk to relieve the awkward atmosphere.

Sushi: Your Ability has returned to you, right? How does it feel?

Aku: None of your business.

*silence*

Sushi: Looking from this angle, your nose looks nice. (literally "you have a high-bridged nose" used as a compliment in Jp)

*silence*

Sushi: Aahh, with this three the talk is going nowhere..

Kyouka: *tries to narrate Momotaro (a popular Jp folklore)*

Sushi: Ah, I'm sorry Kyouka-chan, I didn't mean to force you

▼Chuuya at the Special Ability Dept

Chuuya arrives at the Special Ability Department Office. He is stopped by the guards but Chuuya beats them all (fight scenes were shown).

Chuuya arrives at the main office, but Ango is only showing up in the scene via a video screen. Tsujimura is in the office btw.

Chuuya and Ango talk about the government's involvement with Shibusawa (same with the movie).

Chuuya threatens Ango that he will kill the people in the office if Ango doesn't tell him about the case of Shibusawa now.

Shibusawa takes Dazai's Ability crystal, but realizes that it is not the one he's been looking for.

Fyodor suddenly appears from his back, shooting Shibusawa with a gun.

Apparently, the one Shibusawa killed earlier was not Fyodor himself, but his separated Ability.

Fyodor then kills Shibusawa with a knife, making him remember his death (same with the movie).

Fyodor does his poetry speech about the dragon lol

The dragon appears as animation in the background.

Deadly Drive plays as bg music after!

Ango asks Chuuya to fight the dragon, believing that only his Ability can do it just as when they fought Guivre in the past.

Chuuya complains that the government just always does nothing but order people around while not getting their hands dirty.

He accepts the mission and asks Ango's life in return.

Plane scene with Tsujimura is almost the same as the movie. Chuuya throws his gloves and activates Corruption.

This scene involves his actor Uechan flying in a harness, where he did flips a few times. On his background is an animation of the levitated rubbles and the building he used to throw at the dragon.

▼Soukoku scene

Chuuya shouts Dazai's name, and punches him waking him up. Dazai touches his cheek to deactivate Corruption. (Same lines with the movie, yes Dazai is still Snow White)

Chuuya asks him to let go but Dazai refuses saying that the place they are in is where the mist is the most concentrated and Arahabaki will end up separating from him.

Atsushi realizes that the orphanage director must have known that he killed Shibusawa, but wondered why he never told him.

The orphanage director appears at the end saying that he hid the truth from Atsushi because he thought Atsushi wouldn't be able to accept it and would be crushed (mentally) once he knew about himself.

After Atsushi says the "more beautiful" line, Oda's voice-over plays when he told Dazai to go to the side that saves people because that's a little bit more beautiful.

▼Aftermath Chuuya

Ango calls Chuuya saying that the battle is finished thanks to them, and now he's ready to give his life in return.

Chuuya just laughs at him saying that his life isn't enough to pay for this. He also tells him that he understands that Ango was just a small fry in the government six years ago so wasn't able to do anything about the Shibusawa case. Ango thanks him but still tries to insist but Chuuya hangs up.

Akutagawa shows up, but he doesn't bow at Chuuya (unlike in the movie) and just continues walking after Chuuya told him that Dazai is alive. Chuuya calls him to lend his shoulder because he can't move and gestures him to come closer.

Aku does and Chuuya laughs at how unwilling he looks and asks if Aku is still mad that Chuuya called him weak. Aku says that he's not bothered at all.

Chuuya tells him that he shouldn't worry because they're both included in Dazai's plans, which means that Dazai thinks that they are essential in beating Shibusawa.

Aku remains silent. Chuuya then tells him that as Dazai's ex-partner, he's gonna say it - that Dazai approves of Aku. At the very least, Chuuya does approve of him too.

Aku just says that he's nothing compared to Chuuya.

▼Days after

Atsushi and Kyouka are back at the Agency, where they wave off to everyone as they go on a new mission.

Voice-overs of the ADA stage play cast were played sending them off.

Tanizaki: Take care!

Naomi: Stay safe!

Kunikida: Don't forget your report after.

Ranpo: Get me sweets on your way home!

Yosano: If possible, go back here with injuries, okay?

Kenji: Let's eat some gyudon later!

Fukuzawa: Atsushi, Kyouka, take care and come back safely.

▼Closing

Chuuya talks to Mori on the phone, reporting that the mission has been accomplished.

However, he gets instructed to do the send-off or the farewell greeting to the fans on the stage.

Chuuya, angrily to the audience: What are you looking at, huh?

Send-off? *takes a sit elegantly and stares at the crowd*

Ugh, okay,, *stands up*

Be careful not to be engulfed by the mist when you go home, okay? See ya.

About Fyodor’s ability Crime and Punishment

So, I was reading a bunch of theories (x, x, x, x, x, x) about his supposed ability and some of the common points I found in them: 1] his ability kills people who feel even the slightest guilt about their actions 2] it doesn’t work against other ability users 3] it is activated only by touch and through his hands (doesn’t matter if he touches someone or the other way round.) 4] it isn’t hindered by protective clothing (gloves etc.) (as we saw in the case of the officer under Ango who died trying to handcuff him) 5] I am not quite sure whether he has control over his ability or it is active all the time but that too

Now, this panel is very... interesting.

It pretty much confirms the second point, doesn’t it?

Assuming Gogol’s words to Atsushi aren’t lies and that he is indeed a sane person who feels remorse over his overly dramatic clown themed murders, he should be dead the moment he touched Fyodor’s hands. Since he didn’t, either he’s lying about his conscience or he is aware Fyodor’s ability can’t affect other ability users.

I wonder if Fyodor foresaw Gogol jumping up to grab his hands of all things (from his reaction he seems shocked but hard to say with this guy) Say, he does have control over his ability... in this situation he’d probably instinctively activate his ability rather than not lol

And...I get why he is so obsessed in finding the Book. If his ability could kill anyone with a guilty conscience by a single touch, he’d go around the world killing everyone with an ability (who are the greatest sinners according to him) and lastly end his own life I guess? But he can’t. His ability can’t punish those with the greatest “sins” (kinda ironic if you ask me) so he wants to rewrite the world making it free of abilities. Does bring about the question why he so intensely looks upon abilities as crimes and ability users as sinners.

tl;dr: anyway this is the first time we see someone grab his hands and live to tell the tale cause more chaos.

Christmas with the BSD Cast Pt2!

Manga characters under the cut! Please do not read past if you haven't read the manga!!

a/n! Another part to the mini Christmas series featuring the "villains" and a hunting dog of bsd! Requested by my dear friend Theo, who simps for villains on the daily <3 Two posts in one night I’m proud of myself lol

Christmas with the BSD Cast PT1

Includes; Fyodor, Gogol, Sigma, Tetcho

Fyodor;

-Lucky to be with the rat man himself! Very rare to almost never that he likes to spend time with someone.

-Doesn't get the excitement around the holiday, but is ALWAYS dressed to impress in cold weather.

-Very rarely will let you cuddle up with him in public when not many people are around because his clothes are fuzzy.

-Steal his hat, (a dazai move lol) he'll act angry but somewhere in that cold heart he thinks it looks adorable on you.

-Probably not out too often because he doesn't have that luxury like the others, but if you whine enough he will take you out to do something.

-Much softer at home however, likes to listen to classical music with you and just read. Sometimes even dance and laugh at how clumsy you are. (Or he'll be impressed if you're good at it!!)

-Even though its the holiday, his work doesn't rest, so if you catch him working, sit beside him or hang out in the same room, but for you're own sake don't look at his work.

-In terms of gift giving, he's pretty selfish so it could be something that is for you but caters to his likings.

Gogol;

-Resident Clown Man™

-Definitely one of the more chaotic christmas celebrators. But he still enjoys spending christmas with you because he feels like himself when you're around.

-Do not let this man near stores unless you are prepared to act like you didn't see anything. He!! will!! steal!! to see the look on your pretty face, he loves the shock.

-He enjoys decorating the tree as much as the next person but honestly? Give him free reign to decorate the rest of the house and he'll have it looking so festive the tree doesn't even matter.

-Let him take you places on a whim, because he loves dragging you out on adventures. If some big christmas event is happening in the city, you bet he's going there no matter what.

-HUGE fan of New Year's Eve, so he is getting drunk and attempting to make moves on you at every turn, and desperately wants to see the New York ball drop with you.

-He is a good gift giver, but only because he can steal it. He'll buy you ONE genuine thing if you're lucky but that's it. Other than that its whatever he thinks you'll like. Probably takes a puppy for you ngl. (or just an animal you like).

Sigma;

-He's baby, don't try and change my mind.

-Adores the christmas season because the sky casino gets a lot of customers at that time. Bored people, lonely people, and open wallets for the holiday cheer.

-You are always in his office, at all times, he doesn't want to lose sight of you in the crowds because he gets separation anxiety. Holds your hand tight if you two have to go into the lobby full of people.

-Since all those people will be in there, decorations play a big part in the atmosphere of the casino! He often wants your opinion on decorations and sometimes the two of you put some up. But really he wants you to relax so he mostly makes someone else do it.

-When the two of you get alone time, he's a big cuddle bug, his job is so stressful and he takes so much pride in learning all the ins and outs of it, its exhausting. He falls asleep really quick if he's laying with you.

-Actually interested in watching cheesy christmas shows and movies with you, he likes the happy endings!

-Makes the both of you look super cute in christmas attire because it looks good, seriously he can't keep his eyes off you.

-He can afford to get you a better present, which his is very grateful for because he thinks you deserve the world. Really wants to get you something that you were lacking, whether that be a reliable car, a place in a better safer neighborhood. Hell, move in with him if you aren’t in a safe place. Oh god please he just worries about you.

Tetcho;

-Since he is the most domestic and tame of the hunting dogs, he probably keeps you as far away from the others as he can for the holidays.

-Likes textbook christmas! So, baking cookies, decorating the tree, watching movies, singing christmas songs in the car, working out constantly.. oh wait you're telling him working out isn't a normal christmas thing?

-Sometimes a chore to make him settle down from training and relax a little. But very effective because once he does, his attention is only on you.

-Loves walking through stores or streets with his hand around your waist and holding your hot chocolate. When the store fronts are all lit up and decorated he isn't even paying attention to them, he's head over heels for the way the light reflects in your beautiful eyes.

-While he enjoys strange food combos, he knows you aren't as interested in eating those, so instead of cooking at home he takes you somewhere nice. So both of you can order what you want!

-That also gives him an excuse to see you dressed up, no matter what fancy outfit you choose to wear, he'll constantly be telling you how incredibly beautiful it looks on you.

-Some of the best snowball fights ever. Even if he has an unfair advantage! Helps build the best snowmen.

-As far as gifts, honestly if the two of you have been dating for awhile I could totally see him proposing to you for christmas, with an amazing custom ring.

Dazai Osamu’s Ability Analysis - No Longer Human

Dazai you gives me so much problem trying to understand you, so I am going to tackle a different aspect of you rather than just emotion.

Every photo here is from @dazaiscans, easygoingscans, and from kissanime. Spoilers ahead, be careful!

Ah... Dazai, you gorgeous person. Your Ability is just as mysterious as you. Well then, let’s start.

Dazai Osamu, a former Executive of Port Mafia and currently one of ADA members. His Ability is No Longer Human, which nullify any other Ability with just a touch. No Ability is immune to his Ability, making him a great threat against every Ability user who completely relied on their Ability to survive or fight.

Dazai doesn’t have to touch the Ability user he wants to nullify with just his hands. Even covered with clothes or shoes, his Ability is still active the moment that Ability touched him or he touched it.

(In the photo Dazai is seen not touching his hands to the ground, where the Ability came from. Still, it was nullified nonetheless and the source of nullification came from his feet. So either his Ability ignores clothing or the enemy’s Ability came in contact with Dazai’s feet inside his shoes)

And then this happened.

Kyouka is touching Dazai’s clothes, yet she can activate Demon Snow. It can be argued that the clothes weren’t in direct contact with Dazai’s skin. What I mean is, only if the clothes is sticking to Dazai then his Ability seeped through his clothes. So it’s not like he had an aura around his body that included his clothes. He need direct contact so if the clothes isn’t sticking to him (the side of his coat is not, unless Kyouka touched the sleeve of the coat that is attached to Dazai’s arm). It is also unclear how many layers of clothing is needed until his Ability can’t seep through. But this four layers seems to be enough for Kyouka to bypass it (Bandages, shirt, vest, and then coat).

Still, even if Kyouka can activate her Ability, it’s another thing to actually harm Dazai with it. Dazai wants to get captured, so it’s no wonder Kyouka can capture him. In fact I can see him walking without any kind of ropes with Kyouka while humming.

Any kinds of harm that can hurt him that comes from Ability are completely nullified. Akutagawa’s Rashoumon, Kunikida’s bullet from a gun he created, Atsushi’s tiger claw, Kyouka’s Demon Snow, etc, are all useless against him. No Ability worked against him, just like how Q can’t control his mind.

He can also nullify other’s Ability effect on another person, but he can’t just touch them and they will be freed. No, he had to touch the source (the Ability user or the medium for the Ability like Q’s doll) for him to free other person from that ability effect. This is shown when he had to search for Q’s doll to free Atsushi and to actually have to wait for Atsushi to deliver the said doll to him rather than just grabbing every single victims of Q’s mind control in the chaos (it can also be argued that even if he touched them, as long as the source existed then the victims will just get mind controlled again and again and the act of just grabbing them all for a mere few seconds or relief are truly ineffective) or that time when Fukuzawa and Mori get the virus (although I don’t understand why Dazai don’t just nullify it if the medium is the virus themselves? Fyodor said that it’s an act of suicide to come into contact with the virus, but the virus is an ability so it won’t affect Dazai. Maybe the one who will die is Fukuzawa if Dazai tried it?)

With his Ability’s power to nullify every other Ability and his sharp mind, Dazai is truly an opponent to be feared of. But it’s not like Dazai is truly omnipotent. While his Ability protected him from other Ability, it won’t do anything against normal physical attack. That means the easiest way to kill Dazai is with guns, knives, or even a brick. People with proficiency in martial arts also don’t need their Ability to fight him, since Dazai is not that strong in hand-to-hand combat. That means Chuuya, Kunikida, and Fukuzawa are the top candidates to kill him. His Ability also doesn’t mean anything against opponent which Abilities are limited to their own self and able to use said Ability to get in ranged fight against Dazai. Who is this? Ironically, it’s Odasaku. Odasaku’s clairvoyance Ability is limited to himself and as long as Dazai doesn’t touch him, it will remain active. Odasaku can shot Dazai easily and be done with it (this reminds me of Beast AU when Odasaku actually point his gun at Dazai. Ouch). Other than Odasaku, this also included Kajii. His Ability protected him from his own bomb, so if he detonated a bomb while in close combat with Dazai... then Dazai will die while Kajii survived. So really, it’s the unoffensive Abilities that don’t target him work best against him. The newest Ability user who controlled metal can also kill him. While his swords may fall when it touched Dazai, he can just control a metal beam to hover above Dazai and let gravity do the rest. Actually, all other Ability user can kill him if they just used their Ability to fling a heavy object at Dazai or more easily, just collapse the roof above his head.

(Don’t ask me about Lovecraft’s Cthulhu, I don’t understand what Asagiri-sensei planned with that)

So, how to kill Dazai? Get creative with your Ability or just throw everything on your hand/Ability to Dazai and hope one of them hit him lol

Dazai’s Ability may work best as invisible shield for himself (maybe he can protect another person by covering them with his own body, but if Rashomon is careful and just targeted the body parts that isn’t covered by Dazai’s body then it still game over) but only against Ability. His Ability is truly the antithesis of Ability user who completely depended on their Ability, but for people who had other tricks up their sleeve Dazai isn’t that hard to kill. Thankfully, Dazai has a sharp mind that will help him survive. Dazai also knew about his weakness, that is why he stayed mostly out of the battlefield unless he gets a plan with high percentage of success or at least backup plans.

(Dazai only appeared at the last possible moment when Atsushi is positioned in place where he can provide cover fire)

(Dazai let himself be caught because he will be totally useless against Hunting Dogs and also to be able to observe Fyodor better and uncover his plans)

(Yes those two photos are really necessary *cough*)

That said, because his Ability is always active and doesn’t choose between friend and foe, it also demerit him. Yosano’s healing or other people’s Ability protection won’t work on him. Fukuzawa’s Ability to let his subordinates control his Ability better is useless on him. So Dazai is actually the most at risk of dying in ADA. He actually got wounded almost as much as Atsushi, but when Atsushi got his OP regenerative Ability, Dazai has to being immediately carried to hospital as soon as possible like normal human or he will die. It is unclear whether he let his Ability always active by his own will or he can’t control it.

That is all for Dazai! Next! (Edit : I just reread Fifteen light novel and I see that Dazai’s Ability extend to everything he touches just like Chuuya that he uses to a ribbon he holds that nullify the enemy’s Ability. This brings to question whether what happens with Kyouka. Is it because of my previous theory that more layers to clothing will hinder his Ability or that he has to will his Ability to extend that way. Also, there is also a 0.5 seconds before his brain died that Yosano’s Ability can heal him. I haven’t read 55 seconds to be able to fully analyze this however)

When Kyouka is eating the sundae, she looks like the Tofu Kyouka from Mayoi…hmm.

Can I confess something? Before I saw the illustrations for s2, I thought Louisa’s hair was much darker than what it is in the anime…hmmm, indeed.

I don’t think we were ever told (in the manga or the anime) what Louisa’s wish was…

This bit with Fyodor…I don’t think it was in the manga.

Subarashi-sou is a pun on “it seems wonderful”. That wasn’t in the manga, but it’s a great pun (because it’s right up my alley).

Fitz laughing at the neighbour’s TV wasn’t in the manga either, but that’s just the anime director’s humour peeking through.

That’s basically the only reason why I’m watching anymore…I can’t seem to find anyone who thinks positively of this tournament arc enough to do reviews of it that I can read, which has made my own opinion of this beloved series go down the drain…Also, if you weren’t aware, my taste lies not in Suiryu’s huge bulk, but rather in the fact he’s got long hair.

Didn’t Suiryu get pierced in the abs??? Where’s the blood coming from his injuries??? Update: He does have injuries there, they’re just not bloody…that’s all.

The main criticism for OPM 2 is the fact that it keeps cutting between different events, so it’s hard to follow. Well, I’ve had worse (see Concrete Revolutio) so that’s why I’m still here.

People say that clothing changes you – say if you put on a new outfit, you feel like a new person. (Of course, that’s all glamorising and praising consumption, but that’s beside the point here.) I think that’s what’s up with Max and Snek.

When Reo held up the gun, I was yelling, “Enta! Get it for him!” (i.e. take the bullet) I didn’t expect him to actually do it…

…and here I thought tragic yuri was common enough and we don’t have enough Tragic Yaoi Dudes…

Notably, Toi was registered on Enta’s phone as “Kuji”, while Kazuki is registered as “Kazuki” (katakana) on Toi’s.

Bungou Stray Dogs 33 (BSD S3 Ep 8)

I think it was around here I stopped reading the scans, because the series was picked up legally anyway…but I can see the death flags for a certain Port Mafia man…one who stands at the top.

As expected…butt shot. Igarashi (or whoever’s responsible for that shot) likes butts, so between this and Sarazanmai…*imagines image of kappa!Kazuki holding a shirikodama* There’s absolutely no buts about it (LOL), there’s no shortage of butts this season.

“To think that the rabbit being hunted would show its face…” – I think it’s hard for you to say that, Akutagawa, when you yourself have no face in that frame…

Why are both Akutagawa and Fyodor Naruto running today???

What is “Mukurotoride”? I don’t seem to remember…maybe I never learnt what it was. Update: Apparently a tower in Dead Apple is called Mukurotoride.

I love how the synopsis for this episode goes, “Kyo fights Yuki, Yuki fights a cold…”

Hatsuharu’s wearing such an ostentatious fluffy jacket…LOL, I love it.

Holy cow (LOL), I forgot how old Hatsuharu is…so that means he’s 15-ish, right?

Come to think of it…I see Fruits Basket characters in Ro Te O, which I started writing at about this time in 2013. The Azrael of that time was a hybrid of Hatsuharu, Ritsu and Ayame, Tetsuya is basically Yuki and Ryou is Kyou…hmm.

Apparently, Shigure had in the 2001 anime a song that went like, “High school girls, high school girls, cute high school girls for me.” So that’s where it was??? (Context: I haven’t seen Fruits Basket 2001, but read the entire manga.)

Kimetsu no Yaiba 9

Recap time, recap time…so the lady’s in the back room and Tanjiro conveniently forgets the man is in the basement…? Wuh?

Moya was complaining about how repetitive this show can get when it comes to the script (i.e. it repeats itself because it doesn’t trust its audience, but I think that’s because this is originally serialised on TV week by week that people may forget if they’re not bingeing, taking notes or following the manga). I’ll talk more about that in my KnY collab post, I guess…

When Yushiro said “watch your back”…he really meant it, huh?

The ep title just says “Hero Council”…not specifically that there are 4 of them.

It would’ve ben massively funny to hear Melty call Malty either “Trash” or “B****”…especially the last one, because that’s always a fun way to end a sentence (especially for a girl as young as her). Update: She does, but the way she does it isn’t as funny as I thought it would be (and she doesn’t end her sentence with her sister’s new name).

Wait, I thought they got rid of her slave pact??? I thought it was only for the duration of her trial that she needed it for.

ok so i just got a new skincare line. it’s from nature republic. i have a cleanser, a toner and a moisturizer. it’s fairly simple (unlike 9 steps in korean ahhahha, but like i’ll probably get there in time) also i have a peel mask that smells like bananas that i put on twice a week to get rid of dead skin cells. oh and sometimes i do korean face masks, too.

Holy Flip the Dead Apple Trailer

Ok so I’m actually going to be (finally) writing Chapter 13 after this post BUT I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the Dead Apple trailer because holy flip I’m crying.

Firstly: CHUUYA

Ok so if you don’t know already, Chuuya is my absolute favourite character ever I’m literally obsessed with him and seeing him ride a motorbike up a freaking wall just made my entire life I just...p e r f e c t

I’m actually super happy that his ability is being used in interesting ways because there’s so much you can do with gravity and I think that just using it to increase the power of his martial arts isn’t that creative.

Plus, and I only realised this about 5 minutes ago, is that the film starts/is set 6 years before the current day in the manga

Secondly: The rest of the trailer

I’m suuuper excited to see how this plays out but I’ve been hearing a lot of people going ‘omg Soukoku’s past omg this omg that’ and ok, yeah I’m hyped but this is a movie...not the manga. I personally haven’t seen confirmation that anything in the movie is also canon in terms of the manga so I’m a little reserved about making assumptions and saying that ‘if it happens in the film it’s canon’ because Studio Bones is not Asigiri and everyone knows about anime adaptations that stray from the manga sooooo I’m waiting. If someone actually does know that the film will be canon in terms of the manga then please shout at me so I can get 2938749238479 times more hyped than I already am, thanks.

Fyodor, Shibusawa and Dazai working together? That’s world domination if I ever saw it. Those three could easily take over the entirety of Japan if not the world if they really wanted to. If you haven’t read the translation to the trailer then please do because wow my thoughts are running w i l d thinking about what could happen.

I’m super glad to see all the characters even in the trailer and that the movie doesn’t seem to be focused on Soukoku because as much as I love them, they’re not the only characters.

Ack I can’t really think of much else to say because about 99.999999% of my hype was seeing Chuuya considering I have been severely Chuuya-deprived since the poor thing got stuck in Poe’s book (it’s been over 200 days someone please get him out he doesn’t deserve this) and I hope he makes a lovely reappearance very soon now that we’re in a new arc and (do I need to say spoilers?) Dazai has been arrested lol I bet Chuuya was involved in a lot of those crimes.

IF Asigiri confirms the movie will be counted as canon material manga-wise then I’m hoping we get some lovely backstory about Dazai and Fyodor and adorable Chuuya and of course, Odasaku! Praise the lord we get more Odasaku screen time this movie is literally everything anyone could want.

Back to that IF - So, hopefully, some Fyodor-Dazai backstory and some Soukoku adventures which will be great (possible bff confirmation omg?!?!?!) Maybe some Kyouka backstory and maybe even a bit of Atsushi and Gin/Ryunosuke backstory too - oh oh Akutagawa’s eyes should be brighter (that is, if the animators have adopted the ‘eye thing’ the illustrator of the manga does) ack I’ll do an eye post (maybe more if there’s a lot) once I’ve analysed the first 4 volumes I happen to own so you can all cry with me when I tell you that Chuuya’s eyes are almost as dark as Kaiji’s (whos the illustrator said were ‘dead eyes’) and that Akutagawa’s eyes were so much brighter during the flashback where Dazai shoots Aku to get him to use his ability than they are in the present day and-

Hi! May I request a scenario for Fyodor's reaction to his longtime s/o defecting (or attempting to defect lol) to the ADA because she can no longer agree with his ideals and goals?

I’ve found in my time writing so far that I love writing angst for some reason. I’ve been so excited to write this one that I actually ended up writing a plot outline the same day I received it. I’m happy that I got around to posting it!

I’ll admit that I should’ve been working on earlier requests, but I’ve really been itching to write this one. Plus writing angst seems to make me feel better when I’m feeling extra depressed, like I did when I wrote this last night.

Your feet strike the pavement rhythmically as you propel yourself forward. Despite your anxiety, it was always best to find a rhythm to avoid collapsing. You had always known when to run. It was now or never.

You would stop him, or you wouldn’t. At this point, it was uncertain as to which was more likely. You had seen him, not how others had, but in a unique way that made you distinct. If anyone knew how to stop him, it was you.

He was coming for you, that you knew. He wasn’t a heavy sleeper. Paranoia came in waves; he is always just around the corner, unrealistically.

If you could find that building, he wouldn’t approach you out of caution. You would be safe there, at least for a short time.

The building was far from where you had been staying, into the city centre. You weren’t sure how far it was, and the streets you ran through were deserted due to the early hour.

You’re passing through another long alleyway when it hits you, a deep sense of foreboding. A nauseous feeling creeps up on you, bile pooling in the back of your throat. You skid to a stop, finally beginning to feel the toll of your run. The pain travels from your feet to your legs, forcing you to keep balance by placing a hand on the nearby concrete wall. You trudge forward, the feeling still tugging at your mind.

You’re met with yet another damp wall. A dead-end. Vines lay over its bricks like bright green snakes.

You stare wide-eyed at the serpents, just for a moment. You must run again, and yet you feel as if there is no point.

You turn around and meet your reason, his violet eyes seem to glow.

You decide to resign yourself to your failure: a single wrong turn. You step forward, refusing to let him back you into a corner, at least for now.

You can see his frown as he approaches you with quick strides. It must be genuine. You almost regret all that you’ve done in life.

He’s close to you now, just inches away. He doesn’t seem angry, like you had feared. You share a glance for a moment, it’s hard to say what he’s thinking. He knew that it would come to this, he had probably noticed the subtle changes in your behaviour.

“Do you understand what you’re doing?” he asks, quietly. His words bring a sinking feeling to your chest.

“Fyodor, I —” you falter slightly, and he cuts you off.

“You’re making a mistake,” he says, “that’s what you’re doing.” His tone, still quiet, is imbued with a subtle anger. His words seem to pierce your heart like a needle.

You roughly bite the tip of your thumb, a habit you had picked up from him. It’s true that you became more like the person you were with.

“I know why you’re leaving,” he continues. “you don’t see the merit in the things I do. You never really have I suppose. There is so much I wish to do for the world and its people. I’ve told you before, the deaths of few will better the lives of many. It’s logic, my dear. I will create the promised land, and the good will flourish.”

“Would you like to hear what I think?” you say. He continues to stare at you, a frown still etched on his face. You take this as reason to continue.

“Perhaps in your eyes I’m selfish, but I can’t stand the thought of you killing anymore. I don’t want you to hurt yourself like that. I don’t want you to fall deeper into your own despair until there’s no goodness left in you. I see it all the time, how wonderful you are. You’re ruining yourself, tearing yourself apart! Screw the happiness of the world! I want you to be happy! I was hoping that this would all end quickly, that afterwards we would settle down and I could forget about it all. I’ve realized now that there’s nothing to hope for, that nothing will satisfy you but perfection. The world and the people in it will never be perfect Fyodor, and you’ll just keep expending all your energy on this useless venture until you rot. I don’t want that for you. I don’t.”

He’s still staring at you, so you wonder if you should keep speaking. However, you know you won’t convince him. He’s too far gone, as they say.

“I hope you’ll understand one day, Fyodor. I hope you’ll realize that people don’t have to be enlightened, that salvation is not possible without sin. I’ll always love you… Despite your faults and all the terrible things you’ve done and will do, I’ll always love you. It’s for the best that I leave. I’d like to have more good memories of you than bad, I don’t wish to see you sink further into your deeds. I’ll miss you… always.” you say.

You can feel yourself crying now. Calm warm tears run slowly down your cheeks. You feel as if you must look away from him. He says nothing for a few moments, though they feel much longer than they should.

Fyodor approaches you slowly, you can see his feet moving towards you. You make no movement, you’re not sure if you can. His arms wrap around you, and he pulls you into a hug. Somehow, he always manages to feel cold to you.

“I can’t say I didn’t know that it might come to this.” Fyodor whispers. It occurs to you that he’s never once raised his voice at you.

Fyodor begins to stroke your hair, his fingers slowly removing its knots formed by the wind. His finger tips feel soft against your scalp.

“You considered what would happen if you tried to leave like this, didn’t you? I cannot allow you to meet with them, the detectives. Did you really think that they could stop me? That they could help you save me from myself, if we put it more in your terms?” Fyodor asks, and you wonder why you’re crying more. Perhaps there is no hope for him, you think.

You choke out a sob, though you try to hold it back. You hope he won’t be sad. “I thought there might be a chance. Though not anymore, right?” you manage through your tears.

“I’ve accepted my fate,” you continue, “perhaps we’ll meet again… in a better world.”

He pulls away slightly to see your face, he’s smiling sadly. You had never seen such sorrow on his face before, but it’s gone in a second.

Fyodor leans forward to kiss you one last time. His lips are cold, and despite their pressure against your’s, he makes no move to bite your lips as is his usual. It’s a strange kiss, one that you wish you could be frozen in for an eternity.

As he pulls away you fight the urge to scream. You feel like throwing a fit and smashing your skull into the wall until it cracks. You wonder if the feeling comes from regret, from grief, or if Freud was right about Thanatos. You begin to tremble, you wish you wouldn’t.

Fyodor stares at you with a strange warmth in his eyes. You continue to restrain the screams you wish to produce.

You take a deep breath before speaking again, hoping for composure. “G-goodbye Fyodor… I love you.” your voice shakes with your form.

“Rest well my love,” Fyodor replies, “the world will be made better in your memory. прощай.” *

With this final word Fyodor lays your soul to rest. His finger is all it takes for your blood to flow outwards, spattering onto his clothes and face; Fyodor pays it no mind. He cradles your old form in his arms, it’s heavier than when you were held within it.

There’s an aching he can’t explain, it has been building in his heart since he realized that you had finally left. Fyodor hasn’t cried since childhood, though he almost feels as if he will now.

The inevitable had finally occurred. Someone as pure as you, one he did not deserve, would have never stayed, he thinks.

Fyodor is shaking slightly now, perhaps your trembling had transferred to him. He wonders if now, without anything to tether him to this world, he can fully sacrifice his morality and soul to better it.

He must repress it once again, he realizes, the grief that comes with death. He must move forward. The body’s eyes look dull now, so he presses them shut.

He’s not sure if he can give you a proper funeral. He’s not sure if he has the time. Fyodor recalls words from the past; hymns spoken and chanted at past processions. There’s comfort in them, despite their sadness.

Fyodor takes a deep breath, attempting to calm himself before he speaks them. “With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Thy servant where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.” **

For you, Fyodor would create the promised land. There was nothing more he could live for.

My video keeps stopping at weird spots in the next ep teaser, which shows that one of the images is the muscular monster Cocona and Papika kicked the butt off before, but in blue. Another is a mixture of the worlds, but there’s the kanji for “snow” in one corner. One with Papika and Cocona shows that they’re rough sketches for the show. Oh, whatever…here you go. How did she eat the watermelon with all the seeds in it? I once at a watermelon’s black seed at a buffet…and it ended with me barfing! (I haven’t quite liked watermelon as much since and since it was my favourite fruit up until then, I’ve never really been into fruit since. Haha.)

It’s a pretty light episode, but considering that there’s (almost) another season left before we wrap up, it’s allowed.

This episode is pretty good when it comes to LOLs - I haven’t laughed like this in a while.
