I’ve been procrastinating heavily on my usual methods of creativity because I got a new video synthesizer but have yet to assemble it from the base components bc soldering delicate electronics has never been my strong suit lol - anyway here’s the very beginnings of a sketch I’ve been working on of a slime warlock dnd oc that I dreamt up many moons ago. I’ll get back to bastardizing the signal-to-noise ratio again once I’ve worked up the courage to sit down and put this glitch hardware together.

So, I saw this post on twitter that was like “sometimes you just take your favorite character and put so much new stuff to them they basically become your own OC” and while that was from a (mostly) artistic standpoint, my brain instantly went into how the way I characterize the Barraki fits this well, especially Pridak and Takadox.
Like, in canon both Pridak and Takadox are pretty simplistic characters, as its suit for Bionicle characters. In canon Pridaks basically the typical Bionicle villain: A powerhungry conqueror who desires to return to his glory and control as many people as possible with the main thing that makes him stand out being his anger issues and how situation caused him to have a desire for a way out of his predicament and for revenge against those who wronged him. Takadox meanwhile is this cunning smooth talking slime-ball who plays on every side while not being on anyones side and uses others like fiddle. He’s also pretty pathetic and unimpressive all things considered, often being more of a pitiable fool than an actual threat, though he also uses that to his advantage. Overall both characters are pretty much “what you see is what you get” type of deal, even if I do feel Takadox has a bit of depth to him in canon (well as much as depth as Bionicle villains that aren’t named Nidhiki, Brutaka or Krika can have, but I digress).
Meanwhile in my fanon I have developed both characters to be more than just simplistic villains. Pridak is basically a typical JRPG villain: someone with high status of power who initially started with noble intentions and a believe of creating his ideal world but who used those noble intentions as an excuse for all the henious acts he does. My interpretation of Pridak believes in that everyone chooses their own purpose in life, their own Destiny, and that he is just creating a world where there isn’t a Great Spirit to gowern over the universe. My Pridak justifies his conquest as a means of liberating the world from a god that either doesn’t exist or is unnecessary, and justifies his tyranny with his mindset of how those who are in control and dominant over others are the ones that are fully alive, while those who simply accept being a servant rather than trying to fight for a bettter purpose in life aren’t even alive to begin with. My Pridak is stubborn, determined and driven by seeing his ideals come to fruition,no matter the cost. He has standards and values, but he is willing to cross most lines if they advance his goals. The only thing Pridak is not willing to cross is the trust of another ally, as he detests treason and betrayal unless its absolutely necessary. He is as grudgeful as he is spiteful and will carry a bitter resentment against any ally who crosses him, especially if its someone he considers an equal. He is also surprisingly merciful, only killing other leaders if they refuse to surrender to his rule.
Meanwhile my Takadox is a variation of the common faninterpretation of him being a sociopathic manchild with no understanding of or compassion to others.  My Takadox sees others less as living beings with their own complex mental states and more as tools to use, as toys to play with or obstacles to overcome. Due to his upbringing and brain just being wired in a specific way, my Takadox is so mentally distant from others he sees himself as above them, and others as little ants that just exist alongside him. At the same time he does want companionship and love, but his brain just rejects to understand most living creatures are as complex as him and instead just sees them as toys The only two individuals he sees as genuine and multifaceted are Miserix and Pridak: the former who he absolutely loves and adores from the bottom of his little heart while the latter he utterly despises and sees as an annoying nuisance. My Takadox also isn’t some super capable of emotional manipulation: While he is a cunning charmer and soft-spoken, he is socially inept and doesn’t understand societal norms or how individuals functions in any deeper way, only understanding them superfically. As such he can manipulate yes, but he isn’t like super exper on emotional manipulation or understanding what makes others tick in a deeply viscreal way, instead relying on understanding the situation and context alongside his hypnosis.
And like...both of these characters are still who they are in canon: My Pridak is still anger-driven warlord with a thirst for revenge, while my Takadox is still a cunning and charismatic(?) slimeball who plays on every team and doublecrosses everyone on a weekly basis while being pathetic. They’re just more: They’re actually complex fully realized three-dimensional characters with ideals, philosophies, motivations and goals as well as characterization beyond their few stock traits. A lot of said new traits and elements either exist to explain why they are the way they are, or act to compliment the already existing traits, but they are still just more fleshed out than in canon. And they’re just more than generic bad guys with decently interesting backstory and killer designs: they’re actual characters that exist more as just one-dimensional baddies.
God I need to do the same work  to characterize and develop the other four like I have done to Pridak and Takadox right? Technically I have done this to Ehlek already but not to the same extent: he’s still mainly a paranoid angry mess of a tyrant like he is in canon, theres just an explanation to how and why he ended up becoming a paranoid angry mess of a tyrant.

re: swordsman au, i feel like shigarakis choice is teammates is based heavily on what he thinks is "cool" like he totally got spinner because its just like the lizard men from games with the impractically huge sword just like games, stuff like that. i do think shigaraki seeing a swordsman at the usj would make him want to make a more jrpg type party later on, potential for ocs or giving characters different weapons during the summer camp? who knows
Shigaraki just wants to live out the rpg fantasy of his dreams with a cool cast of people for his party. And who doesn't like the secretly kindhearted lizard man or the mysterious dark knight/swords master?
I do feel like most of the league could fit a stereotype in rpg's and Shigaraki sees that and their character backstories.
maybe I'll one or two of my villain oc's? maybe...

Worlds:
Elsyra: a weird fantasy setting I made back in middle school— it is very clear that I made it while in my jrpg phase. I don’t make much with it but the characters hold a special place in my heart so expect them from time to time // tag: #elsyra
Hazy Window: another, weirder fantasy setting that I made around the same time— this time with bonus universe travel. I tried to be intentionally “edgy” but seeing as I was and continue to be quite fragile, it just kind of comes off as silly now. Lots of characters getting possessed and stuff. You know how it is. // tag: #hazy window
Parallel: guess what! Same era as the last two. This time set in the real world. It’s kind of like a bootleg SCP kind of setting, but I made it before I knew anything about the SCP universe(s) so what can you do. Basically, small infections of “unreal” pop up in certain areas or objects and it’s the job of a sketchy government agency to deal with it. The perspective is that of a 6th grader on the run because she accidentally became omniscient (but only when she’s asleep) // tag: #parallel
We Could Save The World: listen I made a bunch of bnha ocs but they’re american and also I don’t even like bnha anymore so now I have these characters who aren’t particularly connected to the setting but can’t exist in a quirk-free universe so I’m kinda stuck. Anyways hero/villain lesbian romance and also they beat the shit out of a thinly veiled analogue for That Idiot Who Bought Twitter // tag: #wcstw
DR Echo: another fan story! This time it’s Danganronpa, in the main setting after a 40-year timeskip. Humanity’s recovering but despair cults still exist and one of them starts another killing game, it’s just a not good time all around. This one’s still extremely a work in progress because some of the characters just Don’t Feel Right Yet // tag: #dr:e
Luminous Core: yet another fan story, this one’s for jjba and is currently occupying all of my brain cells. The ending of part 6 is fake actually because I said so, just let me have an unrelated post canon story in peace. Also it’s in Australia!! (which I have no experience learning about so this is a fun challenge) // #tag: luminous core
Tag format:
Posts about a specific world get the associated tag
If there’s no specific setting it’s tagged #misc world
Art of a character is tagged “image: [name]”
As for reblogs because the vibes remind me of one of my ocs, it’ll look something like “aes: [character name]” this is not necessarily aesthetic posts sometimes it’s just shitposts. not even all reblogs either. I am a mess
Part of why I create my ocs is to explore different perspectives, lifestyles, and cultures. References and advice that I use in order to accurately and respectfully portray different experiences is tagged “ref: [character name]”
And, on a similar note, I welcome constructive criticism. If I’m perpetuating a harmful trope or belief in one of my characters, let me know! I’m more than willing to work on them to fix the issue.
As for the characters themselves, I’m putting them on a different page probably because there are Many Of Them

SO I thought that since I’m gonna be cringe but free here on Tumblr dom com, I might as well start posting stuff about my OCs. It’s properly tagged, so block what you may. I’m posting about OCs that i have images for, bc otherwise it might get confusing lol.
Anyway, To start us off, here’s Alexi von Ipos, as portrayed by Carohaze on Twitter. He’s from a death game-type story where the participants are “villains” of different genres. Alexi is a Dragon Quest/Classic JRPG type of antagonist, The Demon King of Floricca. His title within the Future Saints Game is “The Demon.”
Alexi is very resourceful and tactical in his approach to problem solving within the game. However, while he is willing to work with others, he is incredibly distrustful by nature, fears betrayal, and loathes incompetence. He has his reasons for acting as cruel as he does, but he never intends to let anyone know the truth...

finally finished my NSR artist oc! her artist name is SquareWave and her genre is chiptune. she's an odd one, usually seen in this weird outfit she made herself. as a lover of old-school jrpgs, she's constantly larping as a villain from one during her perfomances.
shes pretty tech-savvy and made those little cube bots for theatrics, but in a hypothetical battle against BBJ she could use them to fight too. i was trying to figure out how to make her attacks vaguely similar-looking to pixels. also some sketches i did to figure her out.
as for her real name? i... havent decided yet 😅 im thinking her the district she would be charter of would look like some sort of convention area, tons of vinyl city ppl in cosplay there. that one unicorn costume dude in-game would fit right in

For the character asks, how about Lahabrea?
How I feel about this character
Tumblr media
Snark aside he legitimately bores the shit out of me, he really is the most boring villain in the game and to me the worst character period in it tbqh. Everything about him is dull as dishwater paint by numbers stuff down to his evil cackle and it's one of the reasons ARR is so lackluster to me imo. The most interesting thing he did was hijack Thancred and that just made me hate him. Dude's problem is that he's quite simply an 8 bit JRPG villain stuck in a modern JRPG with a host of complex and well-rounded antagonists. Even Thordan, who a lot of people find boring, had more interesting shit going on with him (his relationship with Aymeric, for instance, will always fascinate him). Not so with Bread man.
The one redeeming thing about him was his VA in Heavensward but I am an Alec Newman stan ever since the Sci-Fi Channel Dune and ofc he will always be Sebastian Vael to me
All the people I ship romantically with this character
White Auracite.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
I don't care about him enough but in a world where he had a personality and some motivation beyond being a black robed version of Snidely Whiplash, the dysfunctional partnership he had with the other 2 Unsundered might be worth exploring. But like I said I just don't care like that lol
My unpopular opinion about this character:
This is a character Ascian fuckers like because they literally have to build him up from nothing to the point where he's basically an OC. Which is cool, like knock yourself out! Lord knows I've done that with any number of characters in my time, and it can be fun. But there's nothing there, in terms of the game, except little scraps here and there, and like I said...I don't care enough to do that with him.
and tbh I may actually be the one Emet fucker in the entire fandom that doesn't care about Lahabrea or any of the others for that matter. Until ShB gave it some depth, the Ascian storyline held no interest to me at all (I've said this a lot but nihilists don't do it for me) and Emet was literally the only thing that made me care about it, precisely because he was nothing like any of the others. And Lahabrea encapsulates why I find them so insufferably boring. Black robes yammering on about destroying the world is like the free space on JRPG Bingo. Girl bye.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
That he had gotten any kind of development at all before he exited stage left for good. For all the shit I talked about him in this response, with the benefit of Ishikawa's writing I have no doubt he could have been a well rounded, complex, and interesting antagonist the way Elidibus eventually was (albeit at the 11th hour). Unfortunately for all of us he died, and never got the chance.

I was inspired by @quilloftheclouds‘s OC dating sim screencaps, so I decided to make some of my own for the cast of Devils & Darlings! (Made with the help of this picrew for the ladies and this picrew for the gentlemen.)
In this JRPG-style video game, sparks fly when you, a civilian with a clouded past, are suddenly caught up in the middle of a city-wide power struggle. Do you join forces with Annex City’s worst villains—or seek redemption with its most dedicated heroes?
Tumblr media
[Image description: Cressida, a blonde Caucasian woman in red eyeshadow and lipstick, stands in front of a cocktail bar. She is dressed in a black and white striped blouse with tiered gold necklaces around her neck. She says, “I’m flattered, but compliments don’t pay for drinks here, you know.” The player can respond by either 1) saying, “Not for you, apparently.” or 2) buying Cressida a drink. End description.]
Tip: One of these choices will get you suplexed into a table with a knife to your throat, so choose carefully!
Tumblr media
[Image description: Joaquin, a Latino man with green eyes and black hair that’s been shaved at the sides, points his right-hand thumb over his shoulder. The collar of his black shirt is open and slightly popped, exposing his black undershirt. He says, “Hey, I’m heading out now. Wanna come with?” The player can respond by either 1) saying, “Can we go get burgers and fries? My treat!” or 2) saying, “I think I’d like to stay a little longer, but you go on ahead.” End description.]
Note: Joaquin is aro-ace, so he is a non-romanceable character. You can, however, try to become his best friend!
Tumblr media
[Image description: Griffin, a Caucasian man with tousled brown hair in a blue button-up shirt and a brown jacket, holds up a thin brown notebook. He says, “I’m putting together a crew, and we could really use your talents. You in?” The player can respond by either 1) saying, “That depends. What’s my cut?” or 2) saying, “If you wanted to spend more time with me, you just had to say so.” End description.]
Tip: When flirting with a villain, one must think like a villain. Coming on too strong might chase them away—or it could earn you their respect!
Tumblr media
[Image description: Wesley, a Black man in thin, wire-frame glasses and a blue hoodie over a white t-shirt, smiles faintly, holding a green pencil in his right hand. His short dreadlocks have been tied back into a ponytail, and the sides of his head are closely cropped. He says, “I didn’t think a place like this would be your type of scene.” The player can respond by either 1) saying, “I could say the same to you... Ricochet.” or 2) pretending that they don’t recognize him. End description.]
Fun fact: Regardless of whether you choose to ally with the heroes or the villains, romancing Wesley results in an enemies-to-lovers arc.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Ivy, a Latina woman in a ruffly white blouse and a green pencil skirt, waves to the camera. Her black hair has been tied up in a low bun, and hoop earrings dangle from her ears. She says, “Oh, don’t worry about them. They look scary, but they’re really quite nice, once you get to know them!” The player can respond by either 1) saying, “You’re friends with these people?” or 2) saying, “Thanks for the save. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” End description.]
Tip: Sometimes the best way to impress your crush is to be impressed by your crush.

Earlier this year I had a dream about a browser game that was like a combination JRPG/Virtual Pet site, and this edgelord villain here was forced to team up with the game’s heroes in an upcoming story arc. His name is Tamas, and although he’s tied to lore I’ll likely do nothing with, he’s now a permanent OC anyway. Basically he’s an ancient dragon man who has the power of... death? I think? All I know is he can summon death goop and thorns, and Super Kill you right out of your timeline. An excellent, absolutely not overpowered character whatsoever... my subconscious knows me well. Anyways I’ve literally done nothing to portray his character and instead keep focusing on making him as edgy as possible. Just don’t eat the death goop... I dunno if it’s safe to yet.

Happy new year! Here’s my other art summary for the 2010s
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 2010s are the decade I got really serious about my art, so I thought it'd be a fitting way to close it to put together a summary of my progress from 2010 to now, alongside my regular summary I do for the year.
In 2010/2011 I was super into Zelda and Smash, and most of the stuff I did was either traditional with a fineliner and colouring pencils, or using the path tool on GiMP. I hadn't actually had any proper lessons in art at this point, because my school wasn't too fussed on the subject, so it was all self taught. By 2012 I had a little more guidance, but I was still at that school, so it was pretty much the same, except that now I was back into Final Fantasy, and had a new favourite character and muse in the villain from Final Fantasy IX. That was also the year I started developing my chibi style I use most frequently today. Then in 2013 I started A Levels, and dropped digital art and fanart completely in that time, experimenting with paint much more. The pictures there are all of one of my OCs, who has since had a more sensible makeover, as I redesigned him when I was working on my dissertation for university last year. He's a good boy :3 Then in 2014 I started digital art again, with my love for fanart rekindled by Bravely Default. The first drawing there is done with a mouse on GiMP, but after that I got my first tablet and started to use the program more to its fullest. Then in 2015 my computer broke and my new one wasn't compatible with GiMP, so I had to learn to use Clip Studio Paint. I'm still learning to do more things with that software - I just discovered something today even - but it's honestly amazing and I really recommend it~ 2015 was also the year I started trying to move away from the realism I'd been made to use at school, particularly with my colouring. A lot of my stuff from that year was kinda pastelly, and I coloured my lines too. Once I moved away for uni, I started spending a little more time on my art, because frankly I had more time to do so. 2016 is the year I think my style I use now really started to come through, and tbh it's also the year where I can say I actually still like the stuff I drew now. I was used to CSP, and I wasn't as afraid to draw backgrounds, so I did a lot of big digital paintings of all the villains from the Bravely series. 2017 was just improving on what I was doing in 2016, though I did try to bring a little more variety into my subject matter then. I spent four years drawing essentially nothing but Bravely art, but thankfully I played some amazing games in 2016/17, so I had a little more inspiration. In 2018 I graduated uni while drawing minor characters from Bravely Second in the background, really. Then once I got home, I played Persona 4, and decided that actually this was my thing now. Without education for the first time in my life, I actually had time to devote myself to a series of 80+ hour JRPGs with thirteen entries, so 2018 is probably when it became most noticable that I wasn't drawing as much. Plus, Octopath came out that year, and I discovered the Zero Escape series too. And the art I do work on now, I spend much more time on than ever before, because at this point I care more about quality over quantity. And I've pretty much spent 2019 working on my chibi style and that weird one in between that and my painterly style, which I think I finally cracked this month. Featuring a lot of Kanji and Naoto. I haven't produced as much this year, but it's definitely been my most successful for reception, and I'm happy with what I've done~ I think it's been a productive decade, and I'm really happy with how far I've come~ I get so much joy out of drawing and loving these fictional characters with the communities surrounding them, and I hope for many more years of doing the same.

Since its 3Hs anniversary some really cool things I like about the game that aren’t talked about enough because the fandom is too busy arguing who is right and who is wrong
The worldbuilding just. 3H has honestly one of my favorite fictional settings. Its just both expansive but also genuinely interesting. I have spent HOURS thinking about the world and made so many ocs its not even funny. I love thinking about the setting of the game so much.
I LOVE the puzzle like way the game explains its world and story. Like I know some people don’t like it because it makes the game a bit too convoluted but personally? I LOVE 3Hs way of not telling everything but rather giving hints and clues the player has to piece themselves. It makes the games world feel more interactive and feels so satisfying. Then again I enjoy that kind of approach to worldbuilding
In general I love 3hs fragmented story and the way how the story is placed in many different fragments. It is geniunely rewarding to replay the game from another storypath and notice the foreshadowing Would’ve the story been probably better had it been just one storypath? Honestly yes. But 3h is ambitious and one of the ways it is is with its fragmented story structure.
The structure of White Clouds is criminally underrated honestly and gets way more hate than it deserves. I love how the first few chapters set up the world of Fodlan and show injustices/conflicts of the world with chapters like the chapter where you face off Lonato for instance. Then the next few chapters are spend in deepening the mysteries such as the conspiracy against the church and the mystery regarding TWSITD. Then Jeralt dies and the last few chapters are spent as “beginning of the End” so to speak, as things clears to the intense climax.
On related note I LOVE how the game handles perspective and how the lords are the respective ways we view the story. I know so many people say “WHite Clouds is same on all paths” but I do feel that’s kinda the point. The story is the same but there are differences that come from the way each of the lords is strongly characterized and has different values, worldviews. The subtle changes on what are focused on in each route also foreshadow what will be focused on each route, which I think is super cool.
Even beyond the lords and routes the game does explore the idea of perspective well. I do think 3h has this very “everyone is the hero of their own story” type of approach to perspective and it shows it well. Each character believes they’re in the right and you can get this view that they view themselves as right. Even Agarthans who are the designated villains have this sense they think they’re in right and that the Nabateans were evil.
The way how games routes being divided into having a different focus is very cool. I love how AM is a smaller scale personal tragedy, how CF is a battle of ideals and how VW explores the world and reveals deeper mysteries. I also love how all of these are related to the lords ideals and worldviews: Dimitri is the most conflicted of the lords so he gets the most characterfocused story focused on . Edelgard is the most ideologically driven so her path focuses on her ideals and battle of wills against Rhea. Claude is the one who is the most freespirited and wants to know the truth so his route focuses on revealing the mysteries.
Also the way the houses characters reflect their respective routes storyline and central themes: Black Eagles are nobles that have conflicting relationships with nobility reflecting Edelgards goal, Blue Lions are all united with the trauma of Tragedy of Duscur, and Golden Deer are a house of misfits who give this “ragtag group who will save the universe with POWER OF FRIENDSHIP and this cool gun I found” vibes which fit the route PERFECTLY
I LOVE how the game plays with and subverts a lot of Fire Emblem tropes. While it does play some tropes straight (dad death and evil cult manipulating behind the scenes) it does do a lot to break from series conventions and playing with ideas to make a more ambitious story. The way it either subverts expectations (The evil emperor being female well intended extremist, Rhea being the Gharnef/Medeus instead of the Nyna archetype she’s presented as), twists familiar tropes to their natural extreme (Dimitris arc is basically the natural extreme end of stereotypical FE lord) and other similar things make the game feeling so planned out, like the writers understood FE stories and wanted to make something that challenges FE while still feeling like it.
The way how every major player acts as foil/pararell to another player is so GOOD. Every faction leader can be compared to the other somehow and that just makes the game SOOOO fun to analyze, trying to find all the similarities and differences and pararells is so rewarding.
A more specific example on this is how i love how the game plays with the idea of holy/sacred weapons. While normally these weapons are artifacts from goddess that defeat dragons, here the holy weapons are bones made from dragons and just???? HOW METAL IS THAT????????? It’s just such a neat way to subvert the idea of sacred weapons. Rather than being blessed creations of the goddess, they are weapons of destruction made by the villains.
I ADORE THE GAMES science fiction elements. I know people say they feel out of place but personally, they make the game memorable for me. I still remember the first time I saw that scene with nukes. I especially love the heavy implication that Sothis isn’t a goddess but rather a powerful alien. It makes her character much more interesting
I know a lot of people don’t like Agarthans but can I just say their backstory being “forced to hide after their land got conquered and desiring it back” making them a dark mirror not just 3h lords/Rhea but FE lords as whole is SO FUCKING METAL. This is what I mean with 3H writers knowing their tropes like back of their hand.
I love how in Part 1 sometimes you’d talk to two characters in Monastery at once instead of just one. It’s something I miss in part 2 honestly.
I love the small sidequests such as the fishing tourney and White Heron cup and wish Part 1 had more of them, it would’ve made the school part feel more alive.
I LOVE how some missions (esp paralogues) have subgoals that you can clear to get better rewards. I wish the game had been more clear with them or even made them main goals of maps sometimes.
I LOVE THE WAY Paralogues act as small gaiden stories that show more of the games world and characters. Its a neat way to let the sidecharacters shine and reveal some neat secrets of the games world and story.
The gameplay loop is honetly fun and satisfying. It is rewarding and while it gets tiring towards the end overall its a good gameplay loop.
I ADORE the aesthetic of Shambhala. Its just so sleek and sinister. The cyrillic letters spelling different words is so cool. Shambhala is my favorite map in the game and the aesthetic is a big reason why.
The games soundtrack is so good!!!!!!!!!!  But not only that I LOVE the way its electro elements subtly hint of Agarthans being in control behind the scenes. This is especially cool in Road to Dominion where the electro parts are barely noticeable yet present. but other tracks have subtle electro vibes as well.  The other way the games music tells the story (such as use of leitmotifs or how the monastery music changes once Jeralt dies) is great as well.
I love how 3h can be read as an allegory for reformation era and reneissance. Its such an interesting way to read the games events and compare it to a real historical periods there’s quite a bit of f
In general I ADORE the cultural references of the game. There’s surprisingly lot of way the games world is based on real life and the details are just *chefs kiss*
THE GAME IS DENSE WITH THEMATIC IDEAS. Besides the perspective the game tackles ideas of how trauma can affect a persons psyche and worldview  (as well how a persons trauma affects the way they interact with the world which in turn can affect the world as well), grief, societal values, historical revisiniosm and so much more. The game tackles SO MANY topics in an interesting manner, it is thematically just as dense as it is storywise as well.
I also love how the games thematic parts work in harmony with the story rather than one overshadowing with the other. Its super refreshing honestly where a games themes and story are both rich and I don’t have to pick one over the other.
Lastly I ADORE the games central message (or at least what I see as the central message anyway): The world’s fucked up and most people want to fix it, but what they deem fixing differs and because of that they go into conflict or outright war rather than trying to find a common ground. Everyone wants a better world but no one can agree what a better world truly means  so they fight over it. It was a theme that not only resonates with my personal values but also hit me REALLY hard when I first played it as it’s a theme that I found incredibly relevant and reflective of our own world during the time I played the game for the first time.
So yeah. I made this post since there’s SO MUCH neat things about the game, its gameplay and story that sadly get swept under the rug in favor of either arguing  which lord was right/wrong or complaining how the game is an unfinished, rushed and overambitious mess. Is 3h perfect? Hell no. But it’s a game that I hold near and dear to my heart and does genuinely SO MANY THINGS RIGHT, I’m sad no one talks about the genuine strengths the game has anymore, instead just complaining.
I’m not even joking when I say that 3h should be up there as heralded as one of the best, most ambitious and complex JRPGs alongside Xenogears, the first Xenoblade game, Suikoden and Trails series as whole along other such games. Its a shame the games reputation is less like those games and more like Persona 5s where everyone focuses more on its flaws and the fans being annoying than the fact the game does geniunely A LOT right. It’s just that good, ambitious game I love so much.

I did Outfit August over on twitter and instagram with my OC Tivv (because I need more looks for her, lol) and it was a lot of fun!
I’ll probably put a big ol’ masterpost of all of them on my artblog (@meerodraws) at some point, but for now here are some of my favourites, in no particular order uwu
