Note
do we have a clanmew word for forget me not? i’m curious if it still has the same evocative sort of name what with being the name for blue and her friend group..
The word, "Forget-Me-Not," is a happy English coincidence. While its Clanmew name doesn't have the same connotation, the reason they chose this flower to define their friend group is even more meaningful...
In Clanmew, the word for a "Forget-me-not" is "Luna." A luna is a blue flower with a yellow spot in the center, and each Clan has its own unique species. A special forget-me-not, that only grows on their territory.
So, while luna are widespread and common, there is a small difference between the flowers that each friend brings to the group. Just enough that each member would know who the flower represents, but not enough for their Clanmates to ever realize they're wearing tokens of their forbidden friends.
So in Clanmew, they are simply luna without distinctions. But for your information...
Wood Forget-me-not (Myosotis sylvatica) = ThunderClan The most numerous type of Forget-me-not, it grows everywhere in the Forest and can even become the dominant flower in a meadow. Common and hardy... just like thistle.
You'd-Better Forget-me-not (Myosotis sylvatica, fantasy domestic cultivar) = BloodClan This is a domestic cultivar I've made for Barley specifically, since most domestic cultivars of forget-me-nots change the color entirely. Instead, You'd-Better-Forget-Me-Not is bred to have slightly pointier petals, almost star-like.
Field Forget-me-not (Myosotis arvensis) = WindClan A creeping, mat-like type of forget-me-not. Blooms for a long time, well into October. Makes a really good base for a flower chain.
Water Forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides) = RiverClan A curling, droopy type with bigger flowers than others. It's able to survive being submerged, and prefers much wetter environments than the others.
Changing Forget-me-not (Myosotis discolor) = ShadowClan A thrifty pioneer plant that can take advantage of disturbed sites, like roadsides and carrionplace. Starts off cream-colored, progressing through gold, then pink, before settling on the iconic blue.

Myosotis Scorpioides
If you forget me,
then I hope your hands will not,
that lips remember,
You're carved in soul and body,
I want to be a small scratch.

Forget-Me-Nots 🌸
Gender: Female
Planet: Moon
Element: Earth and/or Air, as this is debated and you should always choose correspondences that fit for you.
Tarot Card: The Lovers
Deities: Venus
Chakra: 6th
Scientific Name: Myosotis Scorpioides
Order: Boraginales
Family: Boraginaceae
Subfamily: Boraginoideae
Genus: Myosotis L.
Forget-me-nots are very useful in spellcraft for healing, spiritual connection and growth, for strengthening friendships and trust, for keeping your loved ones close, remembrance and fidelity.
Tie a small bundle of Forget-Me-Nots together and place it under your pillow if you’re missing your lover to help you dream of them.
You can charge or meditate on a bunch of Forget-Me-Nots and gift them to someone, you will stay in their thoughts for as long as the flowers are alive.
