Growing Pains

as raven finally gets to be free from her shackles, apple silently chooses to shoulder all the pain that comes their way and bear the burdens of dealing with the horrors of the world so that raven can be happy. because raven has suffered so much and apple decides it’s only fair that she do all she can to prevent raven from any further suffering. it’s her way of atoning for all the hurt she caused raven, because apple knows raven has been and always will be a better person than her. to apple, if either of them deserves to smile, it’s raven.

Breathe - Naruto OC AU

Trying to slowly upload more of my backlog on here, next with a piece ft. two of my Naruto OCs for an AU world setting my TTRPG DM is creating so we can play a Naruto campaign!!

Watching Naruto for the first time at 23 years old genuinely has been so freeing for me emotionally, even more-so making my own OCs for it too.

Hidaka Yasu | He/Him | Kyuubi Jinchiriki | Looks calm and serious, no-fun shinobi, in actuality the vest says nervous and he's so fucking stressed and almost manic at times over trying to keep the Kyuubi locked up. Uchiha Oozora | He/Him |Kyuubi's Handler | His generation's strongest Uchiha, would be an amazing shinobi if he wasnt a fucking himbo who downplays his abilities, cannot do basic math, and can't be a mentor to save his life because he unironically just goes "Get good, I guess???"

Both of them have been best friends since childhood, and at 21, with Oozora completing ANBU level training, he was told their entire relationship was a set-up so a strong bond would form, and his job was to be the Kyuubi's handler, and executor, if Yasu ever let the Kyuubi escape.

All the weasels, immediately surrounding Tobirama: More?!

Izuna, pinching the bridge of his nose: Tobirama… I was trying to teach them something! You can't just enable them!

Tobirama, looking up from packing rabbits into the scroll: It will run out of space eventually, so they'll learn it then anyway. Besides, it's my job as your alpha to enable you and your summons.

Izuna, laughing: … you are so lucky I like the way you smell!

Tobirama, kissing him on the cheek: Very lucky indeed.

Here you can see Gaara with his third biological Child and second Daughter, Shiina Kobayashi. Even Reeze gave Birth at home, Gaara insisted that Reeze should go to the Hospital and let the Doctors check if everything is alright with her and the Newborn. He was just worried since she gave Birth at Home while he wasn't with her.

Yes, Reeze gave Birth at home two Weeks too early. She prepared Gaara's Birthday at home with Temari when the Labors started. So it was in Fact Temari who helped Reeze during Childbirth and it went really fast, after two Hours she was born on January 18th, one day before her Fathers Birthday.

Shiina was from the beginning a real Crybaby. She cried a lot, especially during the Night and the first year with her was very difficult for her Parents. Sometimes even Reeje couldn't calm her down, sometimes even Gaara couldn't. But she was really Daddy's Princess from the Beginning. Mostly it was Gaara who got up at Night when she cried, to help Reeze so she could sleep. He was often awake at Night anyway because of his still present Insomnia and Nightmares. And because Reeze was alone with her during the Day, Gaara wanted to do his Wife a Favor and took care of the Baby at Night.

From the first Moment he hold her in his Arms, he was the proudest Father on Earth. 💙

Alright. This is going to be the only time I break from how I usually do these posts, because this is such an off-putting moment for me. This is a Kishimoto fanservice moment that breaks a lot of things in order to happen.

For starters, it is text that Bee respects Yugito Nii highly. We had just been hammered in about how horrific the situation is, that even in death jinchuuriki are used for their bodies in that they are mutilated and completely controlled in a way unlike the rest of the edo tensei'd characters. This was treated like a moment that hit hard for Bee, especially because he was finding out about it by encountering her reanimated corpse. She's the only one in this group he was close to. He notes his grief. Not to mention, they have a 7 year age gap (Bee is 36, Yugito Nii is 29) which makes this kind of uncomfortable if you think about how long they may have known each other. Thankfully, Bee isn't written in the way Jiraiya is when it comes to this moment (him commenting on Tsunade is a little more that speed, but still comparatively subdued and moreso highlights shock than perversion/harassment). It happened to happen, no nosebleeds or overtly sexual comments, thankfully you can read it as he's just observing and making a goof of it like he does with most things when he disengages emotionally. But it still feels off considering previous moments.

Let's also talk about the fact that she had to have her clothes slashed conveniently in order for this to happen. Through both a shirt and a corset-style blouse. When this whole time, Utakata is Right There With His Chest Out!!!

This is not the exact panel where that wardrobe malfunction happens, but it's of a similar distance. And we can see in the next panel that shows him after that, when Kishimoto decides to draw the node on him, it's very easy to see because... his chest is just out.

Funny enough, all these issues would've not occurred if Bee simply observed it on Utakata. There's no history between the two, his chest is on full display, and it'd happen because this is just the way he dressed when he was living. The only reason Yugito Nii was the reveal was because she's a woman, and it'd been a hot minute since someone's commented on lady boobs for Kishimoto.

packing up my books out of my parents house and it's like. i might have a problem. like my classics are non negotiable. im bringing my austen my gaskell my bronte(s). my pratchett is also non negotiable but it's compact. my beautiful collection of 80s-ish sci fi and fantasy paperbacks is where things get tricky cause no im not going to reread hyperion anytime soon but I liked having it there. and now it's just like are you really going to need persepolis (yes) are you REALLY going to need your middle school collection of the complete deltora quest series in hardcover (it's actually killing me that the answer is no)

#the COMPLETE series i have the original 8 books and then shadowlands and then the dragons one. if there are more idk them cause i became old #i honestly might have a problem im taking a full suitcase and a little bag of books and i have no plans to buy a bookcase #should i bring my scholastic book fair naruto anime guide for the first 60 episodes. i just think its funny i hung onto it

Summary: It was supposed to be a calm game night and it was, that is, until Naruto traumatised his parents and in-laws for life.

"Alright, let's play then." Mikoto said enthusiastically.

"Right! Let's start!" Naruto stopped with hands on his hips. "There's only one rule: Madara is forbidden from playing for as long as I live."

The others in the room stared at him confusedly as the Uchiha held back a collective laugh when Madara 'humph-ed'.

"Why is that Naruto?" Minato asked cautiously.

"Well-" He faced the kids in the room. "Well because we- last time we bet a lollipop. Whoever lost had to- to- lick one lollipop for one whole night."

The kids got excited at the idea of candy while the adults sat static, until realization hit them.

Oh. Lollipop.

Mikoto and Minato had their faces drained from blood as Kushina gaped at the same time as Fugaku managed the worst grimace he could produce.

"Needless to say Naruto lost." Neji said matter-of-factly, eating some popcorn before a pillow hit him in the face.

There are many here who do not appreciate what these two men have made, discontented members from both clans, and a gathering like this is always fraught with danger for all.

He doesn't stare, instead letting his Sharingan drift across faces, alert for the slightest hint of an expression which doesn't belong. It's why he catches the twitch of lips, a suppressed smile of triumph, when Madara-sama coughs, once at first and then hard enough to bend over, shaking like a willow in the wind.

"Poison in the cup!" It's just one voice initially, but the cry builds, first to three, then more. "The Senju have poisoned Madara-sama!"
