Who are your favorite waterfire saga characters and why?

That's kind of tough, I haven't done a reread in a while👀

When I first read the books, I loved Mhadi. Especially after I found out he was also Blu. Middle school me thought that was just tbe best book twist ever. I still think it's a pretty cool twist, tbh.

I always liked Astrid, even in the beginning. I don't know what it was that made me like her. I can definitely relate to her more than some of the others.

I liked Neela in the beginning because she reminded me of one of my childhood best friends. I really started to like her after she escaped her parent's palace and went to find her talisman.

I think I really liked Coco. I wish she had more scenes, but I also think she fit well where she was.

I'm pretty sure I was annoyed with Yazeed the first time I read the books, but I grew to like him. I don't know why or how, tbh.

I'm saying that Baby counts as a character because that piranha was so funny.

On the topic of pets, Sylvestre was a petty little monster and I am here for it.

As much as I hate spiders of any kind, I grew to like Alíthea. I can't remember why off the top of my head, but I know by the end I liked her.

On the opposite end, when I tell you I loathe Lucia. I've hated a lot of characters before and very few being out this sort of rage in me, but I really hated Lucia. In the beginning I tried to like her and hoped she would have a redemption because she felt like she was being robbed of her life and it was her fault that her parents had an affair, but that quickly stopped because she was just a greedy brat.

In all honesty, I really liked most of the characters we see often. The book was focused around Serafina, but all of her blood sisters got a lot of chapters. Most of the side characters weren't just used to further the plot, they actually had a purpose(except Yazeed. He has a purpose, but we didn't get any character description for him). Plus, I liked that the main characters were women and they were all based on different races, ethnicities, and cultures.

The first time I read these books i was in 6th grade, so I thought 16 was so old and it made total sense for teenagers to go through these trials.

The more I think about, the more I think the WaterFire Saga might be super cool as a Nrw Adult Fantasy book. For me personally, I'd put it up there with Sarah J. Maas and A Court Of Thorns and Roses.

She felt his beard bristles brush against her neck as he nuzzled her in the wee hours of the morning.Their journey had been long and hard. Finally at peace could they rekindle or start over on a better note this time. She now knew his inner turmoil more than anything. A smile brushed her lips and she turned over to him as she opened her eyes and looked right into his. ” I love you,” she whispered. His smile went up to his eyes this time after so long. He didn’t tell her how he felt. He met her lips and started to show her exactly how he felt for her. Words would not be enough. She couldn’t help but beam that finally she was back in his arms. Yesterday had been the day. ACP Neil Khanna had his wife cleared of all charges. She returned home with him and the Khanna family, Neela Ma, Ali and Nanno greeted her with a proper ghar parvesh.  Neil grasped her hand for most of the festivities. They danced together surrounded by their family members and 123 gang. Avni felt close to Neil after so long. So many barriers they had to cross to reunite again. They had to save Neela Ma and get Vidyuth and Guru Ma to their true destinations. She grew weary by midnight. They were now sitting with Shweta, Prakash, Bebe, Neela Ma, Ali , Nanno, and Kareena. Maddy Bua had retired sometime ago. Shweta nudged Prakash. He turned to his wife and listened. He then turned to his mother to do the honors. “Neil take her inside. Poor girl has been through a lot. Isse saulate,” she said sweetly.  Neil peered at his wife who was fighting sleep and  had grown quiet. He wrapped his arm around her and whispered for her to get up. Ali smiled at his friends and  declared he would drop off Neela Ma. He bid them all bye.  Neela Ma came over to bless the couple and gave them forehead kisses as they bend to take her ashiward. Avni felt Neil’s  hands supporting her by her waist and shoulder. ” Chalo Avni tum change karlo,” he said as he placed her  to sit on the bed.  He handed her nightgown.  He led her to the bathroom. “Don’t lock the door,” he insisted. This comment made her wake up. “Kyun? ” Agar tum kirgi toh?” She nodded. “Point, main abhi aati hoon,” she replied.  After Avni returned and kept her discarded clothes, Neil came over to her and picked her up in his arms. “Yeh kya kare ho?” “Bebe ne kaha tuhme saluna hai,” he chirped. He laid her on her side and tucked her in. Avni slept as soon as she laid down. Neil was relieved that his wifey was back in his life for good. He had finally saved her honor. In fact they had saved her life together, then saved Neela Ma. He cringed all the torture she went through in jail especially after she claimed to be Neo.  He leaned over and kissed her forehead and tucked her hair behind her ear. ” Your life will not be a bed of thorns anymore wifey.  Yeh hai mera vaada tuj se Avni.” A few hours later Avni felt the bristles from Neil’s beard as he nuzzled her  neck.  She smiled to herself and then slowly opened her eyes. ” I love you Neil.” she declared as his  face broke into a smile that actually reached his eyes.  He leaned in to show her his  true feelings. He kissed her so deeply that she was glad they were in bed otherwise she would be puddle on the floor somewhere else. She ran her fingers through his hair.  She felt his hands on her waist and loosing her gown. They  got lost in each other for sometime. Later on as she laid in his arms they talked about a real honeymoon and plans for the  future. He caressed her stomach. They locked eyes. ” I can’t wait until we have our children Avni,” he said husklily. She blushed. ” Ek supercop or ek lady don.” ” Or superwoman or ek don.” They chuckled and kissed again to seal the deal. Author: adventure_gurl

Spring Break (1/1) Leona/Neela drabble :)

Screams echoed throughout the castle, giggles following soon after. All of these noises made a lively afternoon, something Leona simply abhorred. He was trying to sleep after all. While his chances were already low, they had quickly plummeted to zero as Cheka flung himself onto Leona's bed, burrowing under the covers.

"What do you think you're doin'?" Leona grumbled, trying to wrestle back his stolen cover.

"Unca!! You've gotta hide me from the bear!" Cheka giggled, his tail wagging back and forth as he flashed a giddy smile.

"Hide somewhere else. I'm busy" Leona flipped over giving up on the blanket and furrowing his brows, hoping that somehow it would make him fall asleep faster.

Of course, Cheka didn't listen.

Leona decided to tolerate it, he'd regret it, of course, but he supposed that was a problem for three-minutes-from-now Leona.

Unfortunately, he didn't have that luxury of time. As soon as he had began to get comfortable again, the blankets were fully ripped away as Cheka squealed and began laughing. The culprit of this annoyance was, of course, Neela Thorn.

The ex-fiancé of Farena,

godmother of Cheka,

and a loud menace-

Leona flipped over again, wearing a scowl that hopefully conveyed to the pair to leave his room as soon as possible. Instead, Neela met his gaze and promptly stuck her tongue out. She knew Leona had too much respect for her to actually do anything about them infringing on his nap time. But that didn't mean he had to take that disrespect laying down (although part of him wanted to). Leona pushed himself upwards, planting his elbow on his knee and resting his head on a fist.

"D'you have to be in here?" He chuffed, tugging the bearskin carpet Neela was wearing with his other hand. "And isn't that supposed to be on a wall somewhere?"

"Don't worry about it, Sleepyhead. I got permission" She said, setting Cheka on the ground and giving him a head start to go and hide. Instead of actually leaving the room to continue the game, she sat down beside Leona, stretching out on his bed. "It's spring break, is napping all you've done?" Neela poked at Leona's elbow, annoying him further.

"It's kinda hard to do when some people keep distracting me."

"Please, this is the first time I've seen you all week, Leona." Neela sat up, and leaned forward "we could play some Spelldrive, for old times' sake? I can see how much better you've gotten." She playfully nudged him with an elbow.

"Nah, not interested. The last time we played you got that." He pointed to the scar lining her face, and flicked her nose, which made Neela recoil and shake her head.

"Leona, we both know that was an accident." The tone around them had quickly shifted to melancholic. "I don't blame you, no one does. We were kids! And I'm fine!"

Leona didn't bother to even look at her. Maybe out of shame, guilt, or a swirl of feelings that Leona was too tired to deal with.

Breaking the silence, he laid back down, folding his arms behind his head "As I said, not happening, and you'd better catch up to Cheka before he breaks anythin."

Even though Leona's eyes were closed, he could tell Neela was pouting, but that knowledge was easier to handle than having to make sense of the sinking feeling in his stomach. He was determined not to open his eyes until she left, which luckily didn't take too long.

Suddenly the halls were echoing with shrieks and laughter once again;

and unfortunately, it didn't seem so bad.

Sooooo..... I got an impulse to write smth and instead of something like. Useful or productive I wrote fanfiction :) it really is just a lil drabble and it was fun to do so, hope you don't hate it, and thanks for reading!

= Kro (a bozo that PLAUGED MY DREAM and is now an ohsee) influencing Danté to music make u lose control, or pretty much tormenting any of the NRC students in their dreams, essentially being like 'aren't you tired of being nice, don't you wanna go apesh!t' (the song is basically about the personification of death telling a prince to overthrow his father. good soup)

= LEONEELA ANGST. LOTS OF IT. These hoes are BITTER. this one would have lots of flashing from past to present with flashing lights, but also a ballroom setting weirdly enough. Catch them dancing with scowls on their faces and tension you could cut with a kNIFE. What losers.

I ALSO get Cater vibes, like, big ones. Mainly as a sort of allegory for being addicted to outside validation and the struggle between that. It'd be more angsty but still with up-beat visuals during the chorus.

= Jack and Sadie* (platonic) angst!! They grew up together before Sadie's curse became too dangerous to let her play in the open.

Once Sadie escaped from where she was supposed to be waiting out the full moon, probably about when they were both thirteen-ish? Because of this, Sadie, in a transformed state began running around town. Jack had woken up due to the noise and essentially had to whack her over the head with a pan to get her to stop.
