If I had a nickel for every agent of chaos I see on the internet called Neil, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice 😂
Last drawing of 2023, yay 🤗

My friend has recently brought this to my attention and I need to share.
So, down in Tasmania, there's this massive 600kg (1323lbs) seal called Neil.
Neil the Seal.
And Neil the Seal goes wherever Neil the Seal wants.
He likes to strike yoga poses in between trapping people in their houses and preventing them from going to work.
He also has an instagram account.
I have been listening to my friend scrolling through and just randomly going 'freakin' Neil' whenever she sees a reel of him.
It is amazing.
Also, I dunno why he's called Neil, but I'd like to think they named him after @neil-gaiman because he just appears everywhere.

on the matter of the 'walrus vs fairy' debate, i am soundly team walrus, but i did learn today that there was a seal in tasmania that would frequently come onto land and travel through people's back gardens, smashing furniture and the like, so the concept of a marine animal coming onto land to menace you in particular is not actually as unlikely as it seems
the seal was named neil if anyone was wondering.

It’s the end of 2023 and Neil the seal in Tasmania has flooded social media. The original foxes (all in their 30s at this point, mind you) take great delight in sending human neil seal pics and saying ‘is this you???’

"A tiny Tasmanian town is being terrorised by a seal whose main passion in life, it seems, is mischief."
New life goal - exist and take up space with the same level of confidence as Neil the seal 👍

Favorite animal of the day is definitely Neil the Seal. (a seal named Neil)
Neil is an elephant seal, and he's freaking huge.
He's been on the news recently for accidentally trapping someone in her house, immediately giving her a great reason to take a day off from work.
Being an elephant seal is hard and it's important for them to be able to rest + relax while they are on land.
People (and pets, like dogs) should stay 20 meters away from seals like Neil, to help keep them safe and happy.

We need to see Poseidon giggling at Neil the Seal videos. As a follow up to Ares gleefully starting a Twitter war.
