hello, absolutely love your writing, it's always such a joy seeing it!! i have a lot of fun reading your posts ^^
i have a request, and it's kinda inspired by the personality of my own farmer!OC: so, i was wondering if you could make headcanons about the bachelor(ette)s reaction with a farmer that is very emotional and cries way too easily at pretty much everything and anything — and how they would try to cheer them up? it can be in a romantic relationship, platonic, or first impressions!! any is fine :)
(P.S: if you included some Ridgeside Village characters, specially Blair, Daia and Jio i would be so, so happy ^^)
Oh my goodness thank you so much for the kind words ❤️❤️❤️ 🥺
I decided to make a separate story for each character, some already in a relationship with Farmer, some just friends. I hope you enjoy this form of headcanon!
I also added Jio and Daia, as they are the ones I've explored in the mod the best so far (well, not counting the Amethyne family). Thanks for asking, and enjoy!
SDV bachelors:
Shane:
Shane thinks Farmer is crazy, or an idiot, or both. Every time, he snaps at them and gets angry with them. Every time, after another rude remark, rivers of tears pour from Farmer's eyes and they run away. Every time, after all of this, they go back to Shane and try to talk, to become friends. And every time, Shane finds it harder and harder to chase them away. He just sighs tiredly and resigns himself to having a new friend. A vulnerable, whiny, but a friend. Shane thinks they're weird. Heh, just like himself... But a pretty good company, by the way.
Sebastian:
Sebastian kissed Farmer slowly, gently. Time seemed to have stopped altogether since they had come here, to the top of the mountain, where Zuzu City, shining with lights and billboards, was visible on the horizon. Where they were alone, where Sebastian had been brave enough to confess his love to them. Where he, under the influence of his tender feelings, took Farmer into his arms and kissed them. And was immediately frightened when he saw Farmer with tears streaming down their face. But when they told himself they were tears of happiness, Sebastian was ready to cry himself on the spot.
Alex:
Alex isn't the most tactful person himself, but even he doesn't wish harm on anyone, even if his actions aren't going to be very good. That's what happened on the beach with Farmer when Alex suddenly yelled at them to catch a grindball, but charged right into their faces. Mild worries quickly turned to panic as Farmer crying and sobbing. Thank Yoba, delicious ice cream and an ice pack from the kiosk where he works were able to calm Farmer down. Alex breathed a sigh of relief, he didn't know they were such a weakling.... No no no no, he didn't mean that! Don't cry, please- damn, he need more ice cream!
Harvey:
Harvey must admit: coming to him for a compulsory injection for illnesses in the face of intense fear of needles and doctors, was a very brave move on Farmer's part. Many patients, sensing anxiety and panic after any mention of hospitals, immediately ran away. But Farmer, though flooding the clinic floor with tears, kept a steady hand. Harvey would later steep Farmer in herbal tea to calm them down, not forgetting to praise them for their bravery and responsibility. He will also offer the help of a therapist he knows.
Sam:
Sam was returning from his parents back to his home on the farm, to his beloved spouse. Seeing the love of his life on the couch, Sam was already heading to the Farmer for his portions of hugs and kisses.... and found them crying, with headphones, from which muffled music was blaring. Sam, already knowing Farmer very well, only smiled when he saw their crying face, "Sad song again?" "Uh-huh," Farmer holds out one of the headphones to their husband. The young musician sat down next to them, putting his arm around their shoulder, listening to the lyrics of the song. "Very sad, you're right." What are they listening to? baby shark doo doo doo
Elliott:
The inhabitants of the Valley could not help but notice the Farmer standing near the Saloon, sobbing with a bouquet of flowers, together with Elliott, who was trying to comfort his interlocutor. The bouquet of flowers and Farmer's tears immediately suggested that everyone's favorite chaotic Farmer had a grief, that someone had died.... But it turned out that they were just very touched (even too much) by the attention of their, as it turned out later, boyfriend. After all, Elliott is so thoughtful, and these are their favorite flowers, and *sob*. Oh, goodness...
SDV bachelorettes:
Leah:
Oh, the talented artist experienced a whole spectrum of emotions over the course of the morning. First, enthusiasm as she added the finishing touches to her new sculpture. Then pride in the work she had accomplished. Later, the desire to give the sculpture as a gift. After that - the thrill of handing the sculpture to the surprised Farmer. Then came the anxiety, for instead of joy she saw tears on her friend's face. Then came surprise and relief when Farmer, still sobbing, thanked Leah for the beautiful gift. The red-haired girl stroked her friend's back for another five minutes, smiling broadly.
Penny:
Penny never thought that Farmer, her friend, would be crying so hard at the end of the movie "Brave little sapling". Although her own eyes were a little wet after the last scene of the movie, the red-haired girl didn't think that Farmer would sob so much. Luckily she had brought a few dry tissues with her (all of which she had to give to Farmer, by the way).
Haley:
"Ew, you're all dirty," was the phrase that became Haley's fatal mistake when she carelessly commented on the new Farmer's slightly stained clothes. The girl had to spend more than 20 minutes calming down a very vulnerable Farmer, trying to convince them that "stains like that are even in fashion!" (not too convincing). Haley didn't want to offend them, so as an apology, she offered her help to the Farmer in ordering great fashionable clothes, with discounts and promotions. Now they are crying tears of gratitude. Haley doesn't understand why she's having such bad luck today.
Emily:
When one day, visiting Emily, Farmer inquired what kind of parrot was in her room, the girl told the story of this poor bird, the broken wing, and how the feathered creature was now being treated here under Emily's care. The blue-haired girl's story was interrupted when she heard a loud sob from her companion, so Emily immediately ran to the kitchen to get napkins and tea for Farmer. She could truly understand Farmer: when that unfortunate bird banged into the window and broke its wing, Emily wanted to burst into tears, she felt sorry for the bird! But now the parrot is safe and they will help their feathered friend right? *Squawk*
Abigail:
Abigail jumped when she saw Farmer crying near the mountain lake. When she ran over to find out what was wrong, she could make out the words "bracelet," "drowned," and "sorry" from all the crying and whimpering. Oh yeah, Abby had recently given Farmer a handmade friendship bracelet. And Farmer, still crying crocodile tears, said they dropped the bracelet in the lake while fishing. Hey, no need to cry, it's no big deal. Abigail will make a new bracelet, even better! She'll even add an amethyst to decorate it!
Maru:
It's not every day that Maru gets the chance to enjoy stargazing with the love of her life (to be honest, the girl still can't believe her happiness). The vast night sky is studded with a thousand diamonds, blessing this quiet and beautiful night. And the Farmer, overwhelmed with emotion, began to let tears fall, saying how beautiful Maru is under the starry dome. After this, Maru did not hold back and her glasses became wet from her own tears as she kissed and hugged Farmer in a burst of passion. That night had become special for them.
Bonus + Ridgeside Village:
Daia:
Daia isn't surprised, though: after telling the Farmer about her orphan childhood, many people would have let at least a stingy tear fall. And though she turned the whole thing into another joke and tease, she was beyond laughing when Farmer hugged her tightly and began sobbing into her shoulder. Assassin only sighed and comforted Farmer, telling her that there was no bringing back the past, but now she had a close friend (or more?) in her life who had become the thread that connected her to the normal life she had dreamed of. It didn't help, and Farmer cried even harder. Oh my goodness, her whole shoulder is wet from their tears, hee hee!
Jio:
Jio is utterly confused and annoyed. Why the hell was Farmer crying over an accidentally squashed snail? Yes, it was a pity about the creature, but it was very small, the grass was tall, and it was already dusk, so you couldn't see anything. Stop crying! What, a funeral for a snail? Are you out of your mind? Kiwi, why are you sad? ...You two cannot be serious.... Okay, fine! Let's have a funeral for the snail. Elf doesn't understand how someone like Farmer can deal with the dangerous monsters of Ridge Falls, but whine and sobbing like a child over some snail.... Kiwi, don't even dare cry too, you're literally an assassin!

Hey everyone! I realised it's been forever since I posted anything and since I'm not quite finished with the chapter, I thought I'd at least post a story snippet to let you know that I haven't fogotten about you and about HNTBAW. It's just been a little much lately and I've been struggling with writer's block (as always).
But anyway, this is a random scene from the post Hogwarts series (which I might title A Catalogue of Us). It's kind of a flashback memory sort of thing and maybe it's a little confusing and sad, but maybe some of you enjoy it. I hope you had wonderful holidays / Christmas if you celebrate it and I promise I'm still writing.
Let me know what you think if you feel like it... hearing from you guys always helps my motivation, honestly :)

When James fell, the world stood still. I stood still.
Sometimes I still dream about it. His muddled form falling through the sky, the burst of levitation spells in the pouring rain, like perverse fireworks, missing him again and again and again. There was nothing anyone could have done and yet…
And yet.
I take a sip of my coffee, trying to banish the scraps of the nightmare that still cling to my mind as I wrap the blanket tighter around my shoulders. The air is crisp, laced with salt and the subtle sweetness of the heather that grows along the cliffside, trembling in the breeze. I’ve been staring at the horizon for almost an hour, watching the darkness fade into that bluish glow that only exists in these few minutes before sunrise, when the world is in-between. Like the sky holds its breath for just a moment.
Like I held my breath when I was an ocean away, unpacking my old life into my new flat, barely paying attention to Ludo Bagman’s tinny commentary in the background. I didn’t even know why I had turned on the match in the first place. I should have stayed away, taken advantage of the physical distance, but there was comfort in the familiarity of it. In hearing his name chanted by thousands of voices. I missed him and I hated him a little for it. And then I heard the screams.
I thought I had lost him before, but this was so much worse.
***
The room is bright, made of sun-drenched walls and filled with flowers and too many people. But I barely notice. James isn’t moving. There is a tangle of tubes, pumping healing potion from the IV bags into his system, mending his broken bones and his cuts and gashes as much as it can. But even magic can only do so much.
Ginny sees me first. I’m lingering in the doorway like an intruder, not sure if I have a right to be here. I couldn’t not come. I don’t know what to say, though. My throat closes off when our gaze meets over the hospital bed. She’s clutching James’s hand in both of hers like she’s holding on for dear life, her eyes brimming with tears, and I’m crying too, biting my bottom lip to keep myself from sobbing.
“Seth!” Lily calls out, making both Harry and Al look up, but I still don’t know if I’m welcome. Not until Ginny lets go of her son and extends her hand towards me, the faintest of smiles curving her mouth as she summons me to his bedside.
I want to touch him, to feel that he is still here, warm and real and alive, but I don’t dare. There are too many IV lines and bandages and I’m afraid I might hurt him. “How - how is he?”
It’s a useless question, I know it, but there’s still the naive hope that the answer might have changed. That he’ll open his eyes and give me that infuriating half-smile, calling me Woodley and telling me that everything will be alright.
“I’m sorry,” someone says behind me and I turn around to look at the healer that has come into the room. “Only family is allowed in here.”
“Oh. Right. Sorry.”
I make to get up, wiping away the tears with shaky fingers, but Ginny’s hand circles my wrist, her bloodshot gaze firmly on the woman in the lime green coat. “She is.”
***
I wanted to buy him some magazines, but half of the stock in the small St. Mungo’s kiosk is about brooms and Quidditch and the other half are gaudy newspapers that still seem to be in a competition over who can print the most disturbing pictures of James plummeting through the air. I was ready to give up and settle on the Kneazle Lover’s Digest when I saw the flashy book pyramid by the checkout.
“I got you something.” I’m barely in the room when I hold up the shiny hardback with the gaudy cover and James raises an eyebrow at the shirtless guy that takes up most of the front.
“Holy Morgan, what is that, Woodley?” He lets his head fall to the side, smiling at me, even though he is too weak to move. Bruises and scratches still paint brutal patterns across his skin, covering his face and neck, his shoulders, his ribs, but they’re healing.
Unlike his legs.
“They had it in the hospital bookshop!” I can barely contain my excitement as I sit down in the chair next to his bed, thumbing through the pages, because this feels like a sign. A very dumb sign, but a sign nonetheless, and I’ll take anything I can get. “No way!” I press the open page against my mouth, my eyebrows arching at James over the edge of the book.
“What?” He’s frowning, amusement still tugging on the corners of his mouth.
“It’s set in the 1800s.”
He groans, though the grin on his face definitely dampens the effort. Rain is lashing against the windows, drowning out the steady drip of the IVs and, for a moment, it feels like it used to. Like Sunday mornings at his and Freddie’s flat, when he would refuse to get up and pull me back into bed with him.
“I’m so excited.”
“I bet.” He’s laughing, properly now, and my heart flutters behind my chest. It should know better. Especially because I saw her name flash across his phone screen last night before I left. “How long is that damn thing?”
I flip to the very back of the book, catching a few of the final words even though I try to not read them. “397 pages.”
***
“How many pages?”
He used to ask how many chapters. Then it turned to pages. Because he knows it too - that we only exist like the words on paper, between the pages. Until we reach the last one. The last sentence.
“191.”
When the story ends, so do we. But ours is a tragedy. Maybe it was always meant to be.
I come back every day. I sit next to his bed and read A Witch’s Guide to Rakes and Romance, blushing fiercely at the spicy scenes but reading it all. James covers Lily’s ears when she’s cuddled up next to him and she complains loudly while Al and Freddie laugh and Harry and Ginny exchange soft, tired smiles.
Sometimes, the room is crowded. Sometimes, it’s just us - James and me and the steady whirring of the machines - and I read to him until he falls asleep. I read to him until twilight creeps into the room and we have to turn on the neon hospital lights.
I read to him until he can feel his legs again.
Until the IV lines become less.
Until he can sit up by himself.
“How many?” He says and I don’t look at him.
“16.”
It’s the last chapter. And, though I know that it’s time to go, that this semi-real version of us has an expiration date, I dread every page I turn.
“What if you stayed?” James says, quietly, and I feel like I might choke. I can barely breathe.
What if I stayed?
“I - I can’t.” My fingers are clenching the book in my lap, digging into the cover for something to hold on to. This feels awful, like a second break-up, and I wish I could just fold myself into his arms.
But I can’t and he doesn’t argue. Because he knows me too well.
His lips are pressed together as he nods, a tear sliding down the side of his face into his pillow and I’m crying too. When he reaches out, I take his hand and weave my fingers through his, careful to not dislodge the catheter in the back of his hand.
“Do you want to hear the ending now?” I ask, wiping the tears from my cheeks, and his gaze slides from my face to the book in my lap, to our intertwined fingers.
“No.” I feel his hold on me loosen, his hand slipping out of my grasp a little. “I don’t want to know how it ends.”

"You don't want to hear the kinds of questions I've got."
#hannix
[Send me the first sentence and a pairing and I'll write the next five.]
"You don't want to hear the kinds of questions I've got."
Natasha rolls her eyes and warns Jake not to make her regret bringing him home for Thanksgiving. She's still not sure that they're quite there yet, but it's not like she can uninvite him now. He had looked so pathetic last week when he told her that "The Seresin Family Hang-sgiving" was canceled this year because his parents needed to use up the tickets to Venice his sister had gifted them two anniversaries ago before December so he was probably going to stick around North Island and hang out at The Hard Deck with all the other lushes who had nowhere else to go. Natasha had been perfectly content to ignore how mopey he looked – after all, wasn't celebrating Thanksgiving akin to getting waterboarded for a dude who tried to stay away from carbs? – but then Bob flashed her a pointed glare like she owed Hangman something just because he'd dragged her to his family's ranch in Austin for The Fourth.
She didn't, of course, because Jake was so Rah Rah Rah about Texas that it wouldn't take much to get an invite to his hometown so he could wax poetic about Longhorns football and fried okra until the cows came home for tipping. But there was the small matter of Jake getting on top of a coffee table before the Summer Seresin Scavenger Hunt began and declaring to his entire extended family that he was "boo'd up" as if the thing that their relationship was missing up until that point was a heavy dose of mortification. Nat still hasn't forgiven Payback for expanding Hangman's musical horizons even though he's probably right that it's better than Jake donning a cowboy hat so he could make a Patsy Cline reference instead. For that alone, Natasha should've let him flounder in California while everyone else went back home, but rather than disappoint Bob and have to hear about it for the next half dozen training sessions, Natasha went against her self-preservation instincts and invited Jake to have turkey with her family in the suburbs of New Jersey.
She knew it was a bad idea the moment she asked and has only doubled down on that impression now when encountering the wild gleam in Jake's eyes as he looks around her childhood bedroom. Natasha's never been happier than at this moment that she took down the extremely embarrassing boy band posters from her walls the first time she came home from college. All that's left now is a cherry-picked altar of her accomplishments. There are honors society certificates on her walls and her diploma from Stanford, medals from swim meets and a gleaming golden soccer ball perched on top of the MVP trophy she got when their team won nationals after the favorites got disqualified on a technicality. Jake takes in the framed pictures spanning Natasha's life and photobooth strips with her friends taken at a mall kiosk when they cut class to go see Step Up. He looks mesmerized as he practically bounces on the balls of his feet while soaking up all these snippets of who she was before he met her.
The quiet gets to be too much so Nat finally relents and says, "You get one question."
Jake looks like Kevin McCallister let loose at Duncan's Toy Chest, unsure of what to do with all this newfound freedom as his eyes trail along from wall to wall before stopping at the picture of Natasha with her date at prom.
"Where's all your debate team stuff?" he finally asks.
Natasha grins. Sucker.
"I wasn't on the debate team."
"Wait a minute. You made it seem—"
"I'm just naturally gifted at arguing with you."
"Flag on play, Trace! I should get another question."
"Should've gone with a sure thing," she says with an unapologetic shrug. "I really thought you'd ask if I still had the outfit from my very brief stint as a cheerleader."
She can feel him grinning when Jake leans in, his breath hot against her ear as he asks with all the excitement of a kid on Christmas morning, "Well, do you?"
Natasha makes a mental note to kill Bob when they get home.

An amber stranger (Zhongli x Reader one shot)
Content: Zhongli x y/n (gender neutral)
Warnings: none, SFW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sun brought with it unmatched tranquillity as it set on the Liyue harbour horizon. Men, women, young, and old, all taking their leisurely stroll after a long day of work. That’s when you saw him. An awe-striking man that put an abrupt stop to your stroll, much to the dismay of the cargo carriers behind you. After a swift relay of apologies, your gaze returned to the stranger, only to be met with a gaze of his own. A tall, upright stature illuminated by an amber light. An intimidating presence to say the least. But the amused glint on his face did not go unnoticed by you. That was the first time you met the stranger, but it certainly wasn’t the last.
The second time you ran into the stranger was in the Bubu Pharmacy a few weeks later. You came with the intention of restocking your medical supplies when a deep voice swayed your concentration.
“The qingxin flower, an excellent choice to overcome sore throats and headaches, not to mention its nutritional value. A fine choice indeed.” The stranger commented, bemusing you into silence. “Ah, my apologies, it was rude of me to intrude on your affairs. Please, don’t let my musing get in the way of your browsing.”
“It’s..It's quite alright, no harm done.” You answered with regained confidence. “I was merely surprised. Thank you for your kind recommendation Mr…?”
“Zhongli”
“Pleasure to meet you, Mr Zhongli”.
And just like that a new acquaintanceship was born. A connection that only continued to grow with each reencounter. As time raced by, that acquaintanceship evolved into companionship, a friendship, and then, an unfamiliar warmth.
A gentle breeze swept through the harbour on a fine spring morning, carrying with it the scents from every corner of the market. You were merely purchasing ingredients when you ran into a familiar figure. “Mr Zhongli! Good morning, are you here for groceries? The veggies have an excellent deal at the moment” You cheerfully greeted him.
“Good morning to you too Y/N, I was merely browsing. But if the deal is as good as you suggest, I'd be a fool to miss it.” He smiled warmly. “Also… Y/N.” He started after a brief pause.
“Yes?” You answered.
“Surely, you and I have grown past the point of using honorifics. Just Zhongli is fine, wouldn’t you say?”. He said warmly, before chuckling at your surprised expression. “After all, we aren’t strangers anymore.”
“I suppose so, yeh” You affirmed. “Then, Zhongli, will you do me the honour of joining me this evening for an evening stroll?” You asked, quicking losing your prior confidence. “I’m planning to stop by Xinyue Kiosk, and thought...I was thinking maybe-”
“I would love to join you Y/N. Perhaps we could get some dinner as well?” He asked.
“That would be lovely.”
Three months have passed since that evening, and that prior unfamiliar warmth has made your heart its permanent home. Those familiar eyes, the warm smile, and the smooth voice never fail to make you yearn for more. And tonight, you decided to take the definitive stance. You will either fulfil your desire or lose everything. Thus, on a regular evening stroll by the docks, the very same place you first met the man, you took Zhongli’s hand and looked meaningfully at him. He was receptive. His upright stature illuminated by an amber light, as he gave you a questioning look.
“Zhongli,” you started “there is something I must confess, please allow me to finish first.” He gave you a knowing look, a knowing look with a hint of sadness in them.
“While I know we haven’t known each other for very long, I can’t deny this feeling anymore. Whenever I see you, I feel this warmth, this ache in my chest that won’t go away no matter how much I distract myself. My heart and thoughts race with your touch. So while you don’t have to return my feelings, would you please accept them and remain my companion?” You breathed your final sentence. Hating how the fear made your voice quiver.
Zhongli was quiet for a long while. Replaying and rethinking each word you uttered. Before finally, returning his gaze to yours and answering:
“My dear Y/N, this must have been bothering you for a while now, thank you for confiding in me. I have lived a long life, met many people, and experienced many unforeseen losses. A part of my history I have yet to share with you. But in all that time, I’ve learned that it’s the chances you miss that you regret the most.” He smiled at you. “I would love nothing more than to remain your companion and to accept all the feelings you may feel. So please, share them with me in the future as well?”

ੈ♡˳ 𝐙𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄!
♡ Zhongli is drawn to your balanced energy and how you still have a chaotic side that comes out to play which keeps his new life feeling lighthearted and exciting when you let it out around him.
♡ he really admires your outlook on life and how you're able to see things from different angles while leaning towards optimism and empathy, finding them noble traits in a person.
♡ he's very fond of your shy and timid demeanour and feels quite honoured to watch as you come out of his shell. You're a wonderful, tranquil presence in this new chapter of his life where he's relinquished so many duties and responsibilities.
ੈ♡˳ 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐈𝐓 𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄?
♡ Zhongli takes you around Liyue Harbour for the afternoon for a stroll and to collect some gifts he's had prepared for you in advance as you wander around different shops and stalls: a set of jewellery crafted from the finest jade, a perfume blended with some of your favourite scents in harmony, a blend of tea you mentioned loving once and not being able to find since (of course he found it for you and got the best quality of it he could get his hands on).
♡ the tea is then enjoyed at your favourite spot in Liyue's best tea house where you both listen to the storyteller until the sun begins to sink over the horizon. This then prompts Zhongli to take you to Xinyue Kiosk where he's made a reservation and pays for an assortment of all your favourite dishes. And while you sit to chat and eat, he can't help but look at you lovingly as he sets a hand on the small of your back to trace his fingers up and down your spine.
♡ once you arrive home believing it's all over and laying down to rest after the long day and hefty meal, Zhongli leads you to the bathroom where the bath is filled with sweet-smelling bubbles, crushed petals and the room lit by candlelight, the smell of freshly stubbed-out incense in the air so it's a light and fragrant scent without being overly pungent. And of course you're not taking a long soak alone! He has every intention of joining you and holding you close!

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒: I know Zhongli is a very obvious choice for you but I really can't see you fitting as perfectly with many other characters (except maybe Neuvillette?). Thank you so much for taking part in my event! And thank you for the reminder too sobs, I've actually been forgetting to eat again so I went out today (04/02) to buy lots of snacks to leave around my room so I don't forget.

some new horizons thoughts
i don’t think it’s controversial to say that new horizons ended up being a little underwhelming. i was so so excited in 2019 when a new animal crossing game was announced. i even bought my switch specifically to play it! when it released, i played it every single day. i worked hard on my island to make it look pretty and to get my dream villagers. yet not even a year later, i fell out of love with the game and stopped playing. in fact, now i only ever log in on my birthday and the day i started my island. what’s the issue with new horizons? why is it that i can still come back to new leaf 10 years after release with no problem, but not new horizons?
i think the biggest issue for me is that at a certain point, you run out of things to do. whenever i occasionally log onto new horizons, i just walk around my island for a bit. i talk to the villagers. maybe even catch a fish or two. then i inevitably get bored and log off. there is simply nothing to do. obviously there are the standard dailies of check the shops, shake trees, find fossils, etc. but at some point you just think what’s the point? i finished my fossil collection, so why would i keep digging them up? i could sell them for money, but i never buy anything so what’s the point? and sure, i could restart my island and have lots of early game stuff to redo, but after working so hard on my island since release i don’t want to lose all of that.
maybe i could just get a different game card to have a new island? well not only does a new game card cost £30-40, your island isn’t even saved by game card, its saved by console. i get that this is an issue with the switch rather than with the game, but it is just so annoying to me. i have 2 new leaf game cards which i can swap between whenever i want. why do i have to buy an entirely new switch just to have a different island?
well, maybe new horizons would be more fun with friends! now you can even have up to 8 people in multiplayer at once. once you’ve got past the paywall of NSO (which is quite cheap to be fair), you can have your friends on your island! and you can do… so much stuff! i really think so much is missing from new horizons, with a big thing being tortimer island. me and my friend used to spend hours on tortimer island together, whether it be catching bugs or playing the island tours. what are you supposed to do when you play with your friends on new horizons? it usually ends up just being a tour of your island and then maybe you run around and hit each other with nets for a bit.
speaking of missing things, i think so many important things have just been cut out of the game. for example, the shops. you can have two shops on your island: nook’s cranny and the able sisters. this is a significant downgrade from new leaf, in which you had nookling junction, the gardening store, able sisters, kick’s, shampoodle, club LOL, the dream suite, and the fortune house. instead, many of these have been downgraded into small shops on harv’s island that can easily be unlocked simply by paying 100,000 bells per shop. if these shops weren’t brought into new horizons, they were simply cut out - where’s gracie? where are pelly, phyllis, and pete? where’s wendell? where’s katrina? it’s sad to see such memorable characters be removed and often replaced by inanimate objects (the card stand, the custom design kiosk).
this isn’t to say i dislike new horizons, however. i think certain features such as being able to place furniture outside which is an insanely huge change (for the better!). i love a lot of the new additions, like the new emotes, furniture, clothes, even the ‘replacement’ characters like cj, flick, and daisy mae. i also appreciate nintendo adding things such as the northern/southern hemisphere options as well as more skin tones (!!!). i just think that for what it was, the game was underwhelming. and maybe i’m biased because of nostalgia but i will always prefer new leaf.

Rise Or Fall? The Complete Understanding Of Metaverse From The Philosophical, Cultural, Scientific And Social Perspectives
There are many recent popular films on ‘Metaverse’: Everything Everywhere All at Once, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Free Guy.
Technology company WayRay promotes its new kind of 'human world' as this: humankind has long been fascinated with a different reality—a different plane of existence, a different identity and a new perspective. To interact with a different reality might have been a dream decades ago, but now it is as real as the phone you are holding today. The technology is now mature enough, and we can all reach into the ‘Metaverse’.
What exactly is a ‘Metaverse’? It was said, “The meta-verse ('Meta’ + ‘Universe') is a virtual ‘reality space’ on the internet where a user can create a ‘human identity’ to live, interact and play, as well as experience things that he could always do in the real world."  Metaverse will be another globe running parallel to and circumventing the existing world. The term came from a science fiction Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson in 1992 and the story depicted a virtual world on the internet that has buildings, roads, parks and shopping malls in which we could enjoy ‘a collateral life’.
It was pointed out Metaverse has 8 characteristics: (1) living under a virtual identity (2) getting along with new virtual ‘co-beings’ (3) instant and spontaneous movements by you commanding your extended identity in the virtual environment (4) an ‘as-if-real’ immersive experience in the virtual world (5) doing the great things which are humanly impossible for you to try in real life such as flying and roles transforming (6) the self-functioning economy of Metaverse by which you can become rich (7) vast supply of fascinating games and contents; and (8) co-building a ‘post-modern human civilization’.
Metaverse was made possible by scientific achievements. The advent of new technologies like 5G or 6G mobile network, Web 3.0, AI (Artificial Intelligence), VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality) and MR (Mixed Reality) solved many technical problems. The necessary equipment to operate Metaverse is expensive and includes special headset, personal computer, mobile phone, web, projection and kiosk. The ‘money’ transactions there involve innovative softwares like De-Fi (Decentralized Finance), IPFS (Inter-planetary File System) and NFT (Non-fungible Token). Mark Zuckerberg announced that ‘Meta’ (formerly known as Facebook) would soon file patent applications for a number of useful devices such as a pair of ultra-sensitive gloves to make 'Meta' bodily experience almost real. Can you afford all these?
Perhaps I am old, if not senile. The real world is already burdensome enough on a daily basis. My sure horror will come from the additional labour and toil associated with consuming a few hours per day on living in another artificial Metaverse. I get enough, if not more than enough, friends. Why should I meet more virtual people in the disguise of different identities and a lot of them may be crooks? I, nevertheless, envy the energetic ones who can handle two lives and two worlds.
I ask around to find out my friends’ interest on Metaverse. A said, “Communication technology simply makes people unnecessarily busy!” B said, “It’s cool! I want to be a powerful KOL or KOC in such a brave new world.” C said, “If I can make lots of money there, why not? I’m planning to buy some lands there.” D said, “I will be horrified when my 22-year-old girlfriend in Metaverse turns out to be an 80-years-old man!” E said, “Would it be lawful or immoral to attend a drug party in Metaverse?” F said, “How exciting it will be since I can hold a big concert there in the face of Michael Jackson?” G said, “I will transform myself into the most gorgeous girl there and attract loads of boyfriends!” H said, “I am afraid of sexual harassment. An English female beta tester was once groped by a stranger on Horizon Worlds!”
There is a famous philosophical story (莊周蝶夢)(Zhuang Zhou & Butterfly)of our ancient scholar Zhuangzi(莊子)(about 369 to 286 B.C.) that every Chinese knows. Zhuang dreamed that he was a butterfly.  He suddenly woke up and found he was still himself, solid and human. He was puzzled and left us with his great theory of Taoism. “Am I really a man that dreamed of being a butterfly or whether I am a butterfly dreaming as a man?” This great Chinese thinker tried to challenge what we took as real might be unreal and what was unreal might be real. Perhaps he was the first one who inspired us on virtual reality thousand years ago. The French philosopher R Descartes (1596-1650) said, “No certain indications by which we may clearly distinguish wakefulness from sleep.” The development of Metaverse as the popular ‘second reality’ will lead more people to pursue a hot debate: can young people in the 23rd century choose to live in a virtual world of butterflies and refuse to live in a human world?
The other amazing Chinese ancient fairy tale protagonist is ‘The Monkey King’. It is based on the ancient story Journey to the West(西遊記) about a famous monk Xuanzang (玄奘) (602-664) who travelled on foot from China to India for the authentic Buddhist scriptures, escorted by Monkey King(孫悟空). This monkey was clever and rebellious. He acquired an immortal life and could transform him into seventy-two different identities in different situations at the same time. Riding clouds in the sky as a vehicle (Monkey King today will probably use Internet as his vehicle), he was able to travel 108,000 miles by a single somersault to meet friends. Would the Metaverse users dream of being a butterfly or Monkey King which were all old prophecies of ‘virtual reality’.
Many predict that your digital existence will become more important than your physical life. In the Metaverse, your life is fascinating with all that you can enjoy. But on earth, you may be lonely and miserable. Virtual life may be joyful. A real life can be sad. Nevertheless, the more humans lose themselves in a non-existent world, the more Artificial Intelligence technology will control us in future. I do not want to live in the virtual world because it will not give me a nice haircut! Do you? Happiness boils down to simplicity.

jumble of pokemon thoughts so far :)
i like driving my little purple bike pokemon through the wilderness. everything is colourful and pretty. seeing a pokemon centre kiosk on the horizon fills me with joy
buuut i was just playing breath of the wild before starting this game. and the contrast between how the world functions, how it looks, how convenient things are and how you're supposed to progress through it is... something.
i wanted to be all wacky and go through the gyms/other stuff in a random order, but without any scaling, it's so hard to figure out what's an appropriate level for you to fight. i gave up and started using a guide that tells you the approximate level of every gym/star boss/titan.
i get reeeeally impatient during the cutscenes and battles. i wish you could speed things up a bit but me and my flip-floppy attention span are hanging in there.
funnily enough i am most disappointed by the lack of outfit customisation :( i feel a little better about it bc purple is my favourite colour (which is why my blog has almost always been purple LOL) and the accessories are cute, but i was super looking forward to dressing up.
my fav new pokemon so far is fidough who is my best buddy and sworn companion. <3 i also love espathra and greavard.
tulip and ryme are my fav gym leaders, which rules bc ghost and psychic have always been my fav types! but tbh i haven't really latched onto any of the rival or student characters much.
speaking of, i rly don't vibe with the school setting. i know it's hot rn bc persona and three houses and all that but i find it kind of limiting in terms of where the world/plot can go.
overall i can see where corners had to be cut and stuff had to be hurried up but as my first pokemon game on switch i am having a good time with it :)

The end of summer
It was the 23rd of September. Autumn was announcing itself with a cool wind that had begun to detach the first dry leaves from the trees. It was a fresh, awakening air that had shaken Albus, making him wake up definitively from that dream, or nightmare, that that burning summer had been.
Things were ironically back as they had been before : Aberforth was at Hogwarts and Albus was about to leave for a study trip. He would go to Paris, the very city that he and Gellert had planned as their first stop, but he would go alone and there would be no speeches or campaigns. He would have thrown himself into studying under the supervision of the famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel, and it was better that way. He felt a great need to return to the simple pleasures of life: reading a good book, learning a new thing, visiting a new city ... all things that would keep him away and not tempted by any form of power. The small taste he had had of it had painfully confirmed to him that he was absolutely not suited to any position in which he would rise above others.
It was all back to how it had been before, yet so many things were missing. Albus still felt all the tears in his heart that seemed to heal with infinite slowness, and he was relying on his mind for a while. It was time to see things as they were, to consider one's mistakes and learn not to repeat them.
He went to fetch the newspaper from Richie that morning and passed by the graveyard on his way. He made a wreath of flowers appear on Ariana's grave and shed a few tears which were dried by the wind, then continued on to the decrepit wooden kiosk.
The headline on the front page was:
"Gregorovitch robbed. Will his fame disappear just like his most precious wand?"
Albus didn't read the whole article, he didn't need to. He walked towards the grove across the bridge and sat under the oak feeling the emptiness beside him, but he was fine with that. It served as a reminder of how badly he had misjudged Gellert Grindelwald. He still loved him, oh yes, his heart pounded fast every time he thought about those wonderful days they had lived together, but it became clear to him that he had never fully known his lover. It was as if he had focused only on his light eye, discarding the dark one and ended up forgetting about it. There had been signs of that darker nature that was part of the young German wizard.
Albus had known early on that Gellert had been expelled from Durmstrang for putting his friends in mortal danger; every time they had talked about a new society, he had talked about dominating the Muggles; that night when they were caught kissing by that boy, he had knocked him out with his spell; he had been absolutely indifferent to Clarice Malling's despair and the terrible relationship that had formed between Albus and his siblings. And above all he had left, he had shamelessly lied to Bathilda, telling her that Ariana had died from the obscurus, and he had left nothing to the young English wizard. He had taken everything with him, even Albus's heart.
Yet the young English wizard had closed his eyes for a long time, as if dazzled by the mighty summer sun, and when he had reopened them he had woken up in a tragedy.
His great friend Elphias had always playfully told him that he was cursed with knowledge and Albus found himself thinking that maybe it was true. Having found someone who for the first time understood all his thoughts and who knew as much as he did had made him foolishly blind to reality.
He thought about that song Gellert had sung that night at Godric's Glimmering Gathering.
Where Oh where have you been my love?
Where Oh where can you be?
It's been so long, since the moon has gone.
Oh what a wreck you've made me.
Are you there over the ocean?
Are you there, up in the sky?
Until the return of my love
This lullaby
My Hope is on the horizon
Every face, it's your eyes i can see
I plead, i pray through each night and day
Our Embrace is only a dream.
As sure as days come from moments
Each hour becomes a life's time
When he 'd left, I'd only begun this lullaby (4)

So, slap on some sunscreen, leave your worries behind, and let's dive into the sandy escapades of Brazil's most flirtatious coastlines. Who knows? You might just fall in love – or at the very least, develop a serious crush on a coconut."
Rio de Janeiro, a city where the vibrance of urban life seamlessly blends with the tranquil beauty of nature, is globally renowned for its breathtaking beaches. These stretches of sand are not just places to bask in the sun; they are the heartbeats of Rio's culture, offering a glimpse into the carioca way of life. This blog post will take you on a journey through some of Rio's most famous beaches, showcasing their unique charms and why they're a must-visit for anyone traveling to this sun-soaked paradise.
  Copacabana: The Iconic Crescent
Starting with the most iconic of them all, Copacabana Beach is a name synonymous with Rio de Janeiro. Stretching over 4 kilometers, this beach is famed for its golden sands and the promenade lined with black-and-white Portuguese pavement in a distinctive wave pattern. Copacabana is more than just a beach; it's a vibrant community where locals and tourists alike gather to play volleyball, sunbathe, and indulge in caipirinhas from the kiosks dotting the shoreline. The New Year's Eve celebration here, with its spectacular fireworks display, is a sight to behold, drawing millions from around the globe.
  Ipanema: The Trendsetter
Immortalized in the bossa nova classic "The Girl from Ipanema," this beach epitomizes Rio's chic and trendy side. Nestled between Arpoador and Leblon, Ipanema is the quintessence of Rio's beach culture, with its clear blue waters and social scene. Each section of Ipanema Beach attracts different crowds, from families to sports enthusiasts and the LGBTQ+ community, making it a melting pot of cultures and lifestyles. The setting sun behind the Two Brothers Mountain, viewed from Ipanema, offers an unforgettable spectacle, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple.
  Leblon: The Sophisticated Sibling
Just west of Ipanema lies Leblon Beach, known for its laid-back atmosphere and sophisticated flair. Preferred by families and those seeking a more tranquil beach experience, Leblon offers all the beauty of its more famous neighbors but with a quieter vibe. The beach is backed by the upscale neighborhood of Leblon, brimming with chic cafes, boutique shops, and some of Rio's finest restaurants. The Mirante do Leblon, a viewpoint at the beach's western end, provides panoramic views of the coast, making it a perfect spot for photos or a moment of reflection.
  Arpoador: The Surfer’s Haven
Arpoador Beach is famed for its excellent surfing conditions, especially during the winter months when the waves are at their best. This small strip of sand, located at the end of Ipanema and the beginning of Copacabana, is also beloved for its rock formations that offer spectacular sunset views. Surfers and non-surfers alike gather on the rocks each evening to applaud the sun as it dips below the horizon, a local tradition that captures the communal spirit of Rio's beach culture.
  Prainha: The Secluded Sanctuary
For those willing to venture a bit further, Prainha Beach is a secluded sanctuary located about an hour's drive from the city center. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush Atlantic Forest, Prainha offers a more intimate connection with nature. Its crescent-shaped beach and smaller crowds make it a favorite among surfers and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Rio's more popular beaches.
The Bottom Line
Rio de Janeiro's beaches are more than just picturesque landscapes; they are where the essence of carioca life unfolds. Each beach, with its unique character and charm, invites visitors to experience the joy, relaxation, and vibrancy of Rio. Whether you're soaking up the sun on the iconic sands of Copacabana, catching waves at Arpoador, or enjoying the tranquil beauty of Prainha, Rio's beaches offer something for every type of traveler. A Chemical Symphony: Navigating the Uncharted Waters of the Global VOC Market
Welcome to the hidden realm of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), where market dynamics are more thrilling than a rollercoaster ride. In this blog, we’ll embark on an odyssey through the latest VOC market trends, decoding the jargon, and uncovering the unexpected twists that make this market far from mundane.
Tumblr media
The VOC Market Odyssey:
Imagine a market valued at a staggering USD 10.59 billion in 2022, destined to skyrocket to USD 53.01 billion by 2030 — a growth trajectory that even superheroes would envy. Buckle up for a wild journey with a jaw-dropping CAGR of 22.3% from 2023 to 2030.
Decoding the Jargon:
Before diving into the chemical concoction, let’s unravel the mystery of VOCs. It involves compounds like methane and alkanes, applications from paints to industrial processes, and end-uses as diverse as construction and automotive. It’s not just a chemical party; it’s a full-blown carnival.
Market Dynamics:
This is more than just chemicals; it’s about environmental sustainability and human well-being. Governments worldwide are the gatekeepers, regulating emissions to ensure a cleaner atmosphere. It’s a chemical dance where every move matters.
Challenges and Opportunities:
No journey is without hurdles. High costs and the complexity of VOC removal are roadblocks, but fear not — innovation is on the horizon. The market’s R&D heroes are on a quest to conquer these challenges, creating opportunities for greener, cost-effective solutions.
A Glimpse into the Future:
Visualize a map with North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe as the main continents, each contributing to the VOC saga. The plot thickens as we see the growth rates, with North America leading the charge and Asia Pacific sprinting close behind. It’s a geopolitical thriller, but with chemicals.
Segmental Showdown:
Get ready for a segmental showdown. Aromatics are the reigning champions, but watch out for alkenes, the underdogs with a surprisingly fast growth trajectory. It’s a chemical WrestleMania, minus the spandex, but with equal suspense.
For More Infromation: https://www.skyquestt.com/report/interactive-kiosk-market
Regional Rivalries:
As the VOC market battles unfold, regional dynamics come into play. North America flexes its industrial muscles, while the Asia Pacific emerges as the underdog with rapid technological development and a rising middle class. It’s a chemical Cold War, but hopefully warmer.
Market Players:
In this chemical drama, key players like BASF, ExxonMobil, and Shell play pivotal roles. It’s not just about chemicals; it’s a chess game of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic collaborations. Who will be the ultimate VOC grandmaster? Place your bets.
Conclusion:
As the curtain falls on this chemical drama, one thing’s for sure — the volatile organic compound market is not just a scientific puzzle; it’s a story of innovation, challenges, and the pursuit of a cleaner, greener world. Stay tuned for the next chapter in this chemical saga.

TRAVELOGUE
Journey to Serenity: Exploring the Charms of Matabungkay Beach
As I set off on the sun-kissed roads of the Philippines, my heart is racing with anticipation. I'm on my way to the coastal jewel of Matabungkay. The attraction of this modest seaside refuge drew me in, promising a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Seeking peace in nature, my personal goal for this tour is to reconnect with the soothing rhythm of the ocean waves, revitalize my spirit, and discover the hidden secrets of Matabungkay's beautiful beaches.
Matabungkay's untouched beaches and legacy dating back to the Spanish colonial era provide a treasure mine of cultural and natural attractions. My goal in coming on this voyage is not to be a passive observer, but to be an active explorer, peeling back the layers of Matabungkay's past and revealing the secrets that lie beneath the surface.
Matabungkay, a gorgeous seaside village on the western beaches of Luzon, Philippines, proved to be the ideal destination for our much-needed escape. Matabungkay, with its quiet beaches, waving palm palms, and rich cultural tapestry, offered a peaceful escape from the hurry and bustle of daily life. As we anxiously prepared our journey, we had lively talks about the things that might influence our stay. Each member of our group had different preferences, but we eventually focused on three key factors: budget, location, and facilities. After a thorough discussion, we settled on a mid-range budget that allowed us to strike a balance between comfort and affordability. This decision allowed everyone in the group to participate without compromising their financial comfort. The idea of waking up to the gentle sound of waves crashing on the beach sealed the deal for us. The chosen resort offered a variety of amenities, including water sports facilities, a spa, and even a beachside bar for those lazy afternoons. This ensured that each member of our diverse group could indulge in their preferred activities without feeling left out.
As I approached the seaside property, the rich colours of bougainvillaea and hibiscus greeted me, creating a striking contrast against the turquoise sky. The smooth, powdery sand beneath my feet appeared to tell the story of numerous tides that had kissed its surface throughout the years. Matabungkay had already captivated me, and I was looking forward to the experiences that lay ahead. The spirit of Bayanihan, the Filipino tradition of community cooperation, echoed in the laughter and camaraderie that filled the air. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I reflected on the richness of my cultural encounters. Matabungkay had not only welcomed me with open arms but had also granted me a passport to its vibrant traditions, leaving an indelible mark on my journey.
Matabungkay's streets are bustling with the smell of street cuisine. I stroll through bustling markets, trying traditional specialities like Bibingka (rice cake) and Turon (banana spring rolls). The locals excitedly explain the stories behind each dish, turning this street food adventure into a sensory feast of flavours, textures, and cultural narratives. The vibrant kiosks are brimming with fresh seafood, unique fruits, and a variety of native spices. I spoke to pleasant sellers, learning about their traditional ingredients and family recipes. I taste the gastronomic highlights once more, surrounded by new acquaintances. The flavours of Matabungkay linger in my mind as a recall of the exquisite gastronomic adventure that unfolded in this coastal sanctuary.

Forex and Travel In Mylapore
Tumblr media
Forex and Travel In Mylapore Traveling is more than just a leisurely pursuit; it’s a journey of self-discovery, cultural immersion, and expanding one’s horizons. While the idea of exploring new destinations is exhilarating, the practical aspects of international travel, particularly managing finances in a foreign land, can be a daunting prospect. This is where the world of Forex (foreign exchange) steps in as an indispensable companion for travelers. Forex, in simple terms, is the conversion of one currency into another, and it plays a pivotal role in making your international travel seamless and cost-effective.As you embark on your travel adventure, one of the first considerations is the currency of your destination. Each country has its own currency, and using the local currency is often the most convenient way to make purchases, whether you’re sampling local cuisine, shopping for souvenirs, or paying for accommodation. Forex services provide you with access to a wide array of foreign currencies, ensuring that you have the right money in hand before you even step off the plane.Currency exchange can take place through various channels, including banks, currency exchange kiosks, and online platforms. Each option comes with its own exchange rates and fees, and selecting the most cost-effective method is essential. Forex platforms and apps have gained popularity for their convenience and competitive rates. They allow you to exchange currency at your own pace and often offer better rates than traditional exchange services. Travelers also have the option of prepaid forex cards, which are becoming increasingly popular. These cards are preloaded with the currency of your destination and can be used like debit or credit cards. The advantage of prepaid forex cards is that they offer competitive exchange rates, lower fees, and the added security of not carrying large amounts of cash.Managing your travel budget is a crucial aspect of any trip. Forex services help you budget effectively by providing real-time exchange rate information, ensuring that you’re aware of how much you’re spending in your home currency. This transparency allows you to make informed financial decisions while on the road and avoid unexpected expenses.Foreign currency can also be obtained through cash withdrawals from ATMs abroad. However, it’s important to be aware of the fees associated with international ATM transactions. Some banks offer fee waivers or partnerships with overseas banks to reduce these costs.Another important consideration for travelers is understanding how fluctuations in exchange rates can impact their budget. Forex platforms often provide exchange rate alerts and historical rate data, allowing you to monitor currency trends and make informed decisions about when to exchange your money. When it comes to international travel, safety is paramount. Carrying large sums of cash can be risky, and forex services help mitigate this risk. Whether through prepaid cards or convenient mobile apps, you can travel with confidence, knowing that your finances are secure and easily accessible.
In conclusion, Forex and travel are two sides of the same coin, working together to create a seamless and financially savvy international travel experience. Forex services offer travelers the tools they need to navigate the world of currency exchange, helping them make cost-effective decisions and manage their budget effectively. As you embark on your next travel adventure, consider the advantages of Forex, ensuring that your journey is not only culturally enriching but also financially sound
