Welp. ANOTHER one of my favorite musicians turned out to be an abomination. This time it hit home too... fuck you Pogo. Your music helped me get through high school. I cant even put into words how hurt I am. Celebrating a massacre? I just... I'm speechless.

I legit want to cry. Music is an incredibly important part of my life and to learn that someone I've looked up to for years would celebrate my death I just... I'm at a loss.

I even had a dream about pride last night, spending time with all my friends...

Fuck you Pogo. Just... fuck you.

This breaks my heart and really pisses me off. I’ve been listening to him for years under the incredibly naive assumption that he was a gay man reclaiming the term as an artist. I’m mad at myself for not seeing it for what it is and for passively supporting this dude for so long. 

You’ve probably jammed out to his Disney or video game remixes. Guess what? He cheered the Pulse massacre.  While remixing Disney music.

Part One, the Pogo Non-Question

Earlier this month a video surfaced on the Tube, depicting a man describing the origins of his username. The end. Except, as with all things in life, it wasn’t “The End”. Rather it spiked a 3-5 day long sperg-show and the flames haven’t died down yet. How is this you ask Mr n0t? 

Well, I failed to name names here, the man in question is Nick Bertke, a pretty popular guy don’t you think. What with over 730,000 subscribers and all. The user who “leaked” the live-stream fragment is VGCage. VGCage is a liar. Don’t believe me, well here’s her description: 

Now, I want you to pay attention to the last paragraph in particular. This is where she contradicts herself. What’s funny is that I’ve never heard advocates of free speech support or call on others to deplatform someone who said something they didn’t like. Get’s better too. In the comments, she unironically pins comments that agree with her insane and draconian sentiments. To top it all off, those socialblade stats I listed, it shows a dramatic increase in Nick’s favour. 

Really makes one think. Gets the Brain going. 

I could go even further, but the matter is slowly closing down and Cage has gone even more silent than Nick has. Also, I’m not a fan of writing long posts of this so let’s move on to part 2 of what I missed recently.

I don’t know why, but ever since Sleepy Boi’s February ‘21 Sample Flip challenge (which I gave up on), I’ve been motivated to try & make “sleepy” or “nighttime” sounding tracks. For the Sample Flip, I wanted to give Fullystacked’s voice a “dreamy” sounding instrumental, but I could never get the key right. Therefore it kind of stressed me out & I realize I was just putting unecessary pressure on myself.

Well, since I decided to get back on the Nick Bertke (Pogo. You should listen to his songs if you don't know him, they are beautiful !) portrait I began months ago... (Maybe more than a year) I saw all those "unfinished business" drawings that I had... (The RDJ and Rachel mc Adams one hasn't been touched since more than 7 years !) and decided to share them because, even if none of them are perfect (and that's the main reason why I didn't finished them - even if Harley Quinn and Loki come under the label "I'm a lazy shithead that didn't want to spend too much time on them") they DO have a spirit of their own. They look like remnants of some tearful past I never got over of. And I realized that, even unfinished, they were parts of my art. Of course I should have much more drawings like those ones... But I don't have them anymore because of my current lifestyle that made me loose a lot of my belongings. Anyway, I share them, and I hope that you'll like them in their own way. I promise you'll have a little surprise (maybe two ?) before the end of next week, my mind working again in a good manner.

Even after seeing Pogo rile up the SJWs and joining Stephen Crowder in mutual fangirling, he’s still pleasantly surprised me with his knowledge of not just how, but why things are the way they are. At least everywhere but the middle east, annoyingly, getting so focused on women that the men just cease to exist as anything but a threat.

When they start talking about Ghostbusters and the feminisation of comics about an hour in, you really notice his Joker smile.
