Wednesday November 11:
Good news v.s Bad news
Good news:
I am starting to identify my eating habits.
That includes paying attention to when and why I am not following my diet.
I am pushing myself and making a better attempt to eat healthier.
Bad News:
I ate a candy bar last night
I ate three slices of pizza today
I ate about 8 little donuts
I ate almost all of the crab that I got today.
I noticed a bad habit. If I can’t track it on my weight loss app then I will be more likely to lie to myself and eat it.
If I ate something healthy. Then I will make myself feel like what I’m eating is nothing but just a little snack.
If I dint have time to track then I might as well give up on this project.
How to change these subconscious negative thinking processes:
1. Reflecting on the consequence. Example: I gained weight, The fat in my lower back and my lower abdomen got noticeable because of this.
2. Writing words down that remind you of the consequence or reward. For example: I wrote “weight gain” on a piece of paper and put it in my pocket to remind myself to make wiser choices or else. I wrote “FAT AF” on my mirror to remind me that if I wanted the body of my dreams I have to dedicate myself and push myself for better results.
3. Understanding what foods do to yourself body. If I keep eating trans fats and saturated fats they are going to keep getting stored in my belly. If I eat sugar I will lack self control, risk diabetes and heart disease. Etc
Homework:
- i am going to keep paying attention to the what, why, and how’s and when’s, when it comes to making fitness or diet decisions.
What’s making me want to eat that? Am I hungry or craving the rush that sugar gives my body? What caused me to eat this?
Is it because it was right there in front of me. Is it the pressure. Is it self control.
- I will work on finding the root of negative thinking processes. That means asking myself. Why do I think this way? What caused me to think this way? At what point did I begin to think this way? Did something happen in my life that caused me to think this way?
- I will work on getting in the habit of looking into the food that I am eating. In order to overcome you must know the enemy. Are enemy is unknown right now. It’s all the bad food we’re consuming that’s causing our metabolism to slow, our blood flow to slow down, causing us to gain weight, to be less energetic. Etc.
