“Aaaand this!” Nishinoya says with a wide smile, “is my amazing boyfriend, Azumane Asahi!” The boy grabbed the other’s (Asahi, Kei figured) arm and tucked himself under it, happily settling himself against the taller mans side. Suddenly the too-big flannel made much more sense.
The taller man flushed red, ears burning crimson, but the cautious grin he sent Nishinoya’s way wasn’t free from the blatant adoration in his eyes. Something about the couple just seemed to click, despite how they appeared at first glance to be polar opposites, and Kei thought they just seemed right for each other (though loathe to admit that fact, holding back a cringe caused by his own thoughts). It was fitting.

The Letter
*Warning: Angst, mentions of suicide and generally misery. If your in a poor place mental health wise, please skip past this post and seek help. And regardless and whether you are or arn’t, drink some water, eat some food and love yourself*
So, in a No One Knows AU things are getting more and more dangerous for Danny. The injuries are piling up, the rouges are getting more and more dangerous, his fathers slowly but surly becoming less and less and of lost cause in terms of accuracy, close calls are getting closer.
He starts to worry that someday, something will happen and he won’t make it home, and every one he cares for will be left desperately searching for him, for who knows how long, not knowing his corpse is probably phased into the ground, floating in space, or in another dimension entirely. And the thought of everyone he loves being so lost and confused because he took a second bite of the big one hurts almost as much as dyeing the fist time, so he decides to make a “If your reading this, I’m probably dead.” letter. Just to clear the air and say goodbye and all that jazz.
But the last thing a grieving parent needs to know is that they spent months trying to murder their child, mourning friends don’t need to know that all the canceled plans, detentions, avoidance and secrecy that caused so many fights was because their “Bad Friend” was out risking, and in the end sacrificing, their life for them and their home. So he leaves out any and all mentions of Phantom. Just a whole lot of “I’m sorry I couldn’t make it” “it’s not your fault” “I’m in a better place now” “there’s nothing you could have done” and a few “don’t feel guilty”s thrown in just incase his identity was discovered because of his death.
However, it turns out that a super hero’s “I’m sorry I didn’t make it back home to you” message that includes absolutely nothing about being a super hero reads a lot like a suicide note. Like, A Lot.
Whoops.
Maybe Jazz goes snooping as a worrywart big sister and find a very good reason to worry, maybe Jack and Maddie stumble upon it, you could have a classic “oh no that’s not my homework” mix up and Lancer’s now trying harder then ever to help Danny succeed, Sam could have been trying to uncover whatever the hell Danny’s been hiding with Tucker along for the ride.
Regardless, someone finds the letter and everyone is straight up not having a good time.

the stonathan dynamic is so silly to me bc if we’re looking at it from a rivals to lovers perspective steve should absolutely be the one to hate jonathan more (technically kind of stole his gf, indirectly introduced interdimensional horrors into their lives, beat him up embarrassingly badly, etc) but in reality it’s more like. goofy guy is obsessed w weird loner freak & is falling over himself for his attention while said weird loner freak is just like 🤨 fucking dumbass. whatever

I’m actually laughing at the people who are shocked & amazed about the fact that there are fics that are anti-Tommy. Like, have you guys BEEN on AO3, ever? There’s so many anti-Ana & Ana Flores bashing fics and SHE WAS BASICALLY AN NPC 😂 She didn’t do anything other than exist and get broken up with, & I’m 90% sure she has the most bashing fics written about her on that site. Did you REALLY think Tommy was going to get off scot-free just bc YOU like him???
Tommy as a character is cool, & I ADORE Lou, but I’m not obsessed with the way he & Buck are together, so I’ll probably read & maybe even write one of those fics, and if you don’t like it, that’s totally valid! You don’t have to read it! Nobody is going to make you, or get pissed that you don’t love Tommy bashing fics! If other people’s art isn’t for you, that’s totally fine!
However, as an enjoyer of bashing fics (of basically ANY character myself), I’m going to get my little drinky drink & scroll on my little website and enjoy whatever comes my way 😋🤭

The veeeery first anon (not the one posted before this, but another one that I ended up deleting out of fear of the author being ganged up on) told me about it back when the author posted one of the earlier versions of the fic, the author only posted the name of my fic when someone commented something like “hey, is this inspired by lcamos?” and they admitted that, no, it wasn’t inspired on it but reading it ‘gave them the strength to post their story which they thought people wouldn’t like, until they discovered mine’ or something like that. That was good enough for me at the time, even though they lifted tags from my fic still… and the summary is also a piece of their story (like mine) despite none of their other fics using this system.
It made me sad at the time because some of the things I write about in the fic are things that… aren’t really a thing anymore (like nuns using saints names), but they still happen in my small little town. I take inspiration for my fics from my own personal experiences and it stings to see them being used like that. Oh well, cry me a river I guess 😭
I don’t care anymore though. If they want to keep posting it without giving me credit (again? I know they… sort of… did before) I’ll choose to ignore it.
I don’t want this to come off as aggressive though, because I’d love to encourage people to write whatever they want based on my fic!! Literally anything, the sky is the limit. I just don’t like them blatantly lifting tags and copying without giving credit.

Who do you think your rarest pairing with Lucifer is?
And conversely, what’s your Notp, who would you never ship him with?
Oh interesting question! I think by current modern standards (aka what people who ship Lucifer romantically ship currently) my rarest is probably Kevin & Charlie or Jo — BUT given that I have read older fics where he at least interacts with them, overall it’s probably Claire* (who granted I don’t really SHIP ship but she falls under the group of characters I inflict one sided crushes on Lucifer on, which plus my generally indulgent Lucifer characterization I think makes it count)
NOTP is hard bc there isn’t really any ships I actively hate just for the ship? (Who has the energy for that) and most of the stuff I don’t engage with would fall under apathy rather than dislike. Hm. I guess I tend to avoid Gabriel/Lucifer on their own and God!Chuck/Lucifer, bc I like when their dynamics are more antagonistic & familial than romantic/sexual but— WAITAMINUTE. It’s Crowley. Lucifer/Crowley that’s not like a perverted Tom & Jerry does absolutely nothing for me and I find it completely ooc for both of them

I’ve seen another of those leave comments kudos don’t mean anything/mean that somebody finished your work posts again. So:
I’m a fic author who loves kudos. I appreciate every one of them. I estimate my works’ popularity/how well it’s done by kudos only.
Comments are like lovely personal letters that people decided to write to the author’s email; kudos are the actual estimate of successful work.
So if you ever find yourself liking my fic and feel pressured to leave a comments because kudos don’t mean anything, pls don’t. Honestly I’d prefer no comments at all than forced ones that brought you negative feelings.
I post stuff because I want to post stuff. You don’t owe me anything.
Now how do I filter all those kudos don’t matter posts from my feed…
