Jack and my BIL have a softball game not far from my house. I grabbed Sulley and Stella and came to watch.
There are a lot of moths in the grass. These two dogs are determined to catch some. They won't.
Upon my arrival I was given a Grain Belt Nordeast. This is a very approachable, hot weather, high humidity, softball game watching or playing, summertime beer. I'm enjoying it as much as any expensive, hoppy, East Coast IPA with a super funky name.
Stella is my BIL's dog. She will go home with him tonight. Stella was excited when she recognized him. Sulley was too.
When Jack came over to say hello Stella was happy. Sulley barked at Jack like he was wearing a UPS uniform.
I forgot deodorant. I was in an air conditioned house all day. Now I'm deeply regretting the lack of deodorant.
Normally I HATE hearing other people's music. At this game the boom box has been rocking out one good song after another. Currently it's blasting Joan Jett's I Love Rock and Roll, one of my all time favorites.
The umpire has an excellent rapport with all the players. If anyone bitched about a call I think both teams would side with blue.
Wow, I'm sweaty and stinky. I wonder if the players will give me another Nordeast.

TAGLISTMASTERLIST / JARED PADALECKI MASTERLIST / PART 13
Breakfast went relatively quiet for the three of you besides occasional inquiries from fans. It was nice to be with the boys, especially Jared, and be surrounded by the convention spirit. Once upon a time, attending a Supernatural Convention was a dream. But, now here you were, smack dab in the middle with the co-stars of the show.
Life really was crazy sometimes.
Jared had asked what you wanted to do when the boys did autographs and meet and greets. Instead of being an awkward third wheel, you decided to walk around Minneapolis, take in touristy sights and to be alone for a little while.
You loved being with Jared, but you also hadn’t had very much alone time since moving to Vancouver.
As you made your way back towards the convention hall, your stomach growling made you realize how much time had passed. Deciding to grab something to eat before you were going to meet back up with Jared, you walked into Prairie Kitchen & Bar.
“Hello! How are you today?” The hostess chirped with a large smile, her pearly white teeth almost becoming more dazzling in the restaurant lighting.
You gave a small smirk, “Good. Can you guys fit in one right now?”
She grabbed a menu, her blonde bob swinging around her face haphazardly with her quick movements, “Of course! Right this way.”
“Thank you,” you mumbled out as you followed her through the restaurant.
She stopped at a small table near a window facing the street, “Will this be okay?” You nodded quickly. “Great!” She placed the menu on the table and chirped once more, “Your server will be right with you!”
You looked over the menu as your server almost seemed to appear out of thin air, “Hello, my name is Regina.” She smiled down at you as you jumped slightly in your seat, “Have you eaten here before?”
You shook your head, “First time being in Minneapolis.”
“Oh,” she cooed, “Well, my favorite lunch item on the menu is the Grain Belt Nordeast BBQ Chicken sandwich. It is,” she giggled with a hand on her chest, “in my opinion, the best thing on the menu.”
You chuckled, “Okay, I’ll take that and a Coke then.” You smiled towards her as you handed her the menu.
“Great!” She grabbed the menu from you quickly, “I will put your order in and grab your drink!”
You looked out to the street as you waited, people watching. A group of young girls were across the street, clearly laughing about some inside joke only they knew. Some lone individuals fast walked, weaving in and out of people walking too slow for their liking. A few runners came down the street, one took a break on the wall of the hotel across the street.
But then your gaze focused on an eldery couple walking together. Their arms were laced together, the husband's free hand laying on his wife's arm, as they talked with each other. Wide smiles were across their wrinkled faces, making you smile. You couldn’t help but think about how that could maybe be you and Jared one day.
As you got lost in thought of the future with Jared you heard the waitress set your soda down, “I’m so sorry for the wait for this. We had a little bit of an emergency in the kitchen, but I promise it won’t affect you getting your meal!”
You shook your head, “No worries, I understand.”
You sipped on your Coke as she let out a held breath, “Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. Some people aren’t as forgiving.”
You raised your brows in recognition as you snickered, “I used to work in retail. I know all about that.”
“Thank you again,” she simpered as she started to back away from your table, “Your food will be out soon!”
You nodded towards her and looked back out the window. The elderly couple was no longer in view but you could still imagine them as if they were standing in front of you. You sighed over your fizzing drink as you heard someone clear their throat beside you. You turned to see a young girl, with short and fuzzy brown hair, a flannel, band tee, jeans and converse on. “Hi.”
She gnawed at her bottom lip, “Hello.” She took a step slightly closer to you, “You’re the girl Jared was pictured with in the articles, right?”
“May I ask why?” You asked with a raised brow.
“Because,” her nervousness quickly turned into anger, “I wanted to make sure I did this to the right person.” She grabbed your Coke off the table and threw it in your face. You gasped as she squawked, “Get away from Jared you whore! You’re probably the real reason Jared and Gen broke up!”
You wiped at your eyes with your mouth still hanging open. Soda dripped from your hair onto your partially soaked lap. You grabbed at napkins on the table and wiped at yourself before grabbing at your phone and starting a call.
“Y/N?” You could hear curiosity drip from their voice.
Your lip quivered, “I need help.”
“Where are you?” He grunted out.
“Prairie Kitchen and Bar, almost across the street from the hotel.”
“Okay.” He sighed out. You could hear him talk to someone in the room he was in, you assumed the handler, before you heard him clearly again, “Don’t move. I’ll be there in a second.”
“Thank you,” you squeaked out before you hung up.

Big Kahuna Bash 5 Part 1
Dale and I headed to Grumpy's in Nordeast for the 5th annual Big Kahuna Bash. This is the 4th one we've attended. Couldn't make it last year because Dale needed to be on Madeline for an event.
Started out be grabbing some Vietnamese food from the D & D Goodies food truck.
It was delicious. We got a couple of (huge) egg rolls, some dumplings and also some shrimp tempura. Good gravy it was awesome.
For the previous 4 years the event has been held at Grumpy's bar in Roseville, a suburb of St. Paul. However, this year (not sure of the reason) the event was held at Grumpy's Minneapolis location.
