First thing tomorrow morning, I hit the road to head home after visiting my dad and family for Thanksgiving and Dad's first year anniversary of his successful stem cell transplant. It was a good trip and I'm very happy I came. I'm still not looking forward to the drive home tomorrow. Wish me luck. ;_;

I have a full work week next week, but my bosses are cool. Beyond getting one thing finished and turned in on time and one phone call made, no one is expecting anything of me on either Monday OR Tuesday. Lovely. I'm good with it. I'm going to spend pretty much all day on the road tomorrow, hopefully avoiding the worst of holiday traffic, and driving several hours in the dark because it's that time of year. Whee.

I'm currently spending my last night writing fanfiction while everyone else watches wrestling. lol

the idea that your friends won't like you if you're too weird is wrong for example one time I told a friend whenever I was losing my mind I laid down on the floor under my desk and stared at it until I was better and next time she visited me she taped a bag of salami snacks to the underside of my desk with a message saying "going insane all by yourself, handsome?" which I only saw months later when I had a breakdown. that's friendship.

Every time I see companies selling """punk""" jewellery or clothing I become apoplectic with rage. Just saw a £65 padlock necklace advertised to me bitch Fuck you go to your nearest weird little shop that sells everything in the world including fake Rolexes and bongs the size of a toddler. Buy a thing of chain and a padlock. Borrow some bolt cutters someone you know will probably own some and if not get some cheap ones or borrow from a local tool library. Slap em together. Maximum cost £30 and that's MAXIMUM that's assuming you bought over a metre of expensive heavy chain AND bought the bolt cutters. You can do it for under a fiver with a wallet chain and pliers. I still wear a necklace I made when I was 15 out of a wallet chain and pliers and a padlock I got in a set of 3 from poundland. If the issue is dexterity or otherwise disability related then find a friend and swap a favour with them it'll still be cheaper than these scamming poser companies and will help you build community and share resources. I used to make tons of Christmas cookies with extended family that I would bring home after the holiday, but alas, every single one would disappear come morning without a crumb for me. Either Santa stuck around another night or I lived with ravenous wolves rather than people! I ended up having to hide the stash to dole them out at a reasonable pace (while saving myself my share) lol
