i drink instant coffee. i wear jackets that are everyone's but mine. i keep an inhaler on me. i straighten my back. i smell like vanilla and tobacco and coffee. i dry lavender and press flowers. i dig my hands into the rich earth and feel it crawl in and curl up to hibernate under my nails. i get anxious travelling with suitcases. i collapse on myself. i can't apologise. i add some sugar to savoury meals i cook. i don't cry. i run my hands under the tap until they're red-hot. i sit in the forest, shaded by the trees, for hours on end. i am alive when i'm alone. i go home. i survive. i don't tell you how i feel. i know there's an unspoken line for the bus. i wait until it's too late. i drown you. i survive. i know how to swim. i go to graveyards alone to visit graves of people i didn't know. i weep over lives that expired last century. i don't cry over my own dead. i don't smoke cause it was lung cancer. i carry smokes cause i like the smell. i survive. how much does a headstone give away?

i listen to instruments from my corpses times. i listen to everything that survived his childhood. i listen to the stuff that should've been mine. i never lived in the countryside but it's the only place where i always have. i knit. i sew. i read. i plant meek things that never survive long enough to fruit. i neglect everything in my care and ache when it wilts, as if i have the right to. i survive. i pick up the strings of others' pasts and presents and weave them into myself as if you can adopt the pains of another person. it's more selfish than it sounds. i love a view and i'm scared of heights. i add a little salt to everything sweet. i know not to use the whites of a rind. i prefer cats. i wear women's jeans. i'm scared. i like my eggs cooked at a 6 minute boil. i think houses should be red. i had to teach myself. i count in the shower. i get sugar free applesauce. i know it's all garlic and onion. i tell people they look nice. i switch between cursive and print when i write and i don't know why (it always reverts to cursive if i care, even if i fight it). i take walks longer than every life changing event behind me. i still fear you'll leave me behind in the city or on the side of a road like you threatened, even now, when i can care for myself. i don't like wheels, or being above them. circles are the worst shape. i wait for hands to be wrapped around my wrist, all the way around, up my forearm. i wait for big eyes. i wait for gripped by the shoulders and shaken like it'll fix me. i wait for a cold shower down my skull and neck, wet clothes, not enough air, something big to shock me out of it. it's like breaking an arm to distract from a cramp, you get that, right? drowning a crying child. i still hold my breath when i feel too much. i keep my card in my phone case. i recoil at touch i used to lean toward. nobody does anything on purpose and it still fucks you up so royally. i try to see the best in people and it pisses me off when i catch it, cause a good reason doesn't mean you don't deserve better. i'm sick of people making excuses for me. i reach out and end up hovering. my cheek is pressed against the air next to yours. my chin rests on something invisible above your shoulder. it still awakens a glass housed bird in me when people laugh or whisper or look too close. i still seek out good rocks. i still have the ones i collected as a kid. i spell like a motherfucker. i write. i dont cook anything without the vent hood on. i scare myself. i make notes in the margins of books. i step over my feelings like theyre laundry piles. i dog-ear pages. i hide in and outside my body.

the point : i am a quilt, or if you prefer, chewed up digested shit out pile, of all the people i've loved and hated and the strangers around them. they shaped me, still,

i cant grasp the concept that i affect the world around me. my hands pass through everything. i am a weightless presence save for the burden i cause. i dont make changes deeper than shells. when i disappear and you call me and i pick up on the third call to a sigh of relief and in a watery voice you thought id killed myself. when it hurts you that i treat your feelings for me as if they were never substantial cause i don't think they are. when you tell me you want me and i say there's nothing to want. when people care about me, they're claiming palpability from me when i'm not real. you direct feelings at me and i step aside, out of their path, and watch them fall into the hole i dug in the wall behind me, clatter into the cavity between the insulation sheets. then i ache over empty.

i'm sorry for being so focused on cutting off and keeping in the new growths springing off me, i didn't realise i was slashing your exploratory hands in the process. i will let the world dig it's fingers into me again. i just need time. is that okay? i just need time.

i'll put the trimmers down, stop cutting flowers that bud; i'll survive the bloom. again and again, i'll survive. i'm going to be more. every opening doesn't have to be a wound. i am going to grow into a poultice for both of our bleeding hands.

summary: (y/n) wakes up early to avoid sally. sally’s upset that he did something wrong yesterday. (y/n)’s first meeting with travis isn’t the nicest.

The incessant beeping of your alarm tugs you out of your dreamless sleep.

The sticky tears on the ground remind you of yesterday’s events, but you disregard them. All you want to do is take a shower, throw on your jacket and get out the door. You slowly clamber up off the ground and across the living room to turn off the alarm. After making sure it’s not on snooze, you drag your sore body to the shower. It smells like smoke and lots of cleaning supplies. This place is fucking gross. Is it even monday?’ you check the calendar. It is, in fact, monday. You strip and turn the shower handle.

You're so glad that you chose to wake up early. Usually kids this far from school drive or get picked up by the bus, but you prefer to use your skateboard. That’s why you get up at 6:30, so you have enough time to get ready and get to school on time. Sanity’s fall quietly played as you washed your breakfast plate and cup, brushing grease residue off the greyish porcelain. You wonder if Sal is awake yet. Probably not. You know, waking up early ensures that you won't see him in the morning. The guy’s not that bad, his eyes just freak you out a little.

Pulling the pink glove off your prosthetic, you wipe your hands with a towel and move to the closet to put your shoes on.

“Jacket, jacket, jacket, jacket.” you mumble, eyebrows knitted. “Where are you?” oh, right, you left it in your room.. With poppy. Was that even her name? You kind of just decided it for her.

Alright, don't be a pussy. Just go in and grab the jacket. You sucked in a breath and opened the door to your room.

“Eeh! A teenager! What’s your name, little lady?” her blond ponytail bounced with every sentence. This was the first time you could get a good look at her. She didn't really have feet, just bloody stumps where they used to be.

“Holy fuck, you’re so loud!” your hands covered your ears.

“Ahh, so sorry! I haven't used my voice in years.” she coughs.

“S’ fine... Can I just- just grab my jacket?” you point at the green pile amidst the boxes all around the room. You didn't get a chance to set up.

“Go ahead!” she nods and smiles.

“Alright. uh, listen, lady. This-” you motion towards the whole room. “Is my room. I live here now. I get that you, like, can't leave this place and shit, but could you maybe sit quietly while i set up later? I really need to clean my room up. I’ll set up a little chair place for you or whatever, so you could sleep at night.” you mumble the last part, embarrassed about your hospitality.

“I can’t sleep.” she smiles, her teeth surprisingly shiny for a ghost’s. God, she’s so preppy that you forgot she’s dead.

“Pretend to then, i dont fucking know. Alright, i have to go. Just… don't cause trouble.” grabbing the jacket, you begin shutting the door. “My name’s (y/n), by the way.”

You can hear her squeals as you leave the apartment. You decide to take the elevator because you don't feel like running down the stairs with a heavy ass bag on your back.. Stepping in, you press the main floor button. It looks like there’s a bit of sticky stuff around it. gross. Syrup? You hoped so.

The elevator dings and you step out, heading out the front doors. It’s cloudy. Again. Not a surprise, really. Keeping your eyes on the gravel, you set down your skateboard and begin your journey to school.

Sal’s point of view:

“She probably went on without us, man. Don’t know why you're worrying so much.'' Larry leaned back into the bus seat.

“It’s not that, Larry face. Yesterday, when we left…” was it my fault? Did i scare her? Did she see my face through the mask? Fuck.

“What is it? Spit it out, sally dude.” he pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and puffed the smoke out the window.

“I think i scared her, larry. I think she saw my face.” i let out a shaky breath. God, everything was going good. Why the fuck does this stupid face ruin everything?

“Did you- did you take your mask off?” he sat up in the seat, eyes wide.

“No. She probably saw it through my mask.”

“I still dont get it. Explain more, dude.”

“She looked so scared. We made eye contact, and she, like, panicked. Her eyes widened and then she threw me out. It was definitely my eyes. We were fine the whole night, i dont know why she freaked out.”

Larry let out a long hum. He was probably trying to piece things together. Anyway, she definitely went to school earlier than us. I can ask her about it there.

“Woah, sally face. Calm down or you’ll go bald.” larry’s hands pulled mine off my pigtails. Huh, i didnt even notice.

“Thanks, dude. I think we’re here.”

Your point of view:

It was around eight o’clock by the time you arrived. Kids were already piling out of buses and cars, standing by the school’s entrance and conversing with their friends. You definitely felt some eyes on you. That was expected, though. They didnt recognize you, and nockfell didnt seem like a town with many new people. Thinking back to yesterday, sal and larry mentioned some bully kid. Probably wouldnt be hard to spot him.

“Watch it, goth freak!” a pair of hands gripped onto your shoulders.

Ah, what a coincidence.

“Get the fuck off me, fucking prick.” he twitched as you gripped onto his hands and pushed him away.

“Is that a metal hand? Ha, you’re a fucking cripple! How pathetic.” he chuckled. Blond hair draped itself across his forehead, definitely not complimenting the purple shade of his shirt and eye. School fight? or daddy issues? Who knows. I mean, you’re not one to speak, your dad’s literally dead.

“Let me guess, you’re that bully fucker they talked about. God, isnt there enough troubled kids in Nockfell?” you rolled your eyes, just wanting to get to school.

When you said you had bad luck, you really meant it, because all of a sudden, his fist landed on your face.

Are you fucking serious?

You just moved here yesterday and you’ve already been fucked up twice. You can’t keep taking hits, (y/n)! You gotta dish some out!

Sighing in disbelief, you reached out to your gushing nose.

“Mother.” you flicked the blood off your prosthetic hand. “Fucker.”

At this, travis bolts. You drop your bag and get back on your skateboard, weaving through the crowd to get to that shrimpy little fuck.

“I’m so fucking done with nockfell.” blood trails down the side of your face as you lock your eyes on the blond mop of hair in front of you.

Do you jump? Or let him get away?

Nah, you jump.

The skateboard shoots out beneath you as you kick off. He lets out a strangled cry as you land on his back and send him to the concrete. A few whoops can be heard from the kids far behind you.

“Fuck, i’m sorry! Get off me!” he scrambles beneath you.

“Now you’re fucking sorry?”

He doesnt say anything. You slowly climb off, keeping a hand on his neck.

“Pussy.” a snicker escapes you.

“What’d you just-” the hand on his neck squeezes tighter and shuts him up.

“What’s your name again?”

“Tr-travis, fuck.”

“Travis, huh? Well, travis-”

“(Y/n)? What are you doing on Travis?”

Sal’s point of view:

Me and larry were getting off the bus when we heard a bunch of cheering. Weird. I looked in the direction larry was staring. Hold on, that’s travis and some other kid on top of him.

“Sally face! I think that’s fucking (Y/n)! Holy shit!” larry shakes my shoulder. That’s actually her! What is she doing on travis?

“Larry, c’mon, we have to go get her off!” i try pulling him away, but he doesnt budge.

“No way, man! I wanna see her beat him up! She’s doing what you won’t let me do!” he smiles wide. Fuck, i guess i’ll just have to go alone. Larry frowns as i drop my bag and begin running towards them. I’m not letting her get in trouble on the first day. I hear her say something to him as i come closer.

“(Y/n)? What are you doing on travis?”

She looks up in surprise. Holy shit, she’s bleeding!

“I’ve gotten fucked up twice in the past 24 hours. I’m not letting this fuck get away with it.” She snarls. As bad as i feel, she’s kind of attractive, bloody and feral like that. God, what the fuck? Not time for this, sal.

“Oh my god, (y/n)! Here, uh, get up and i’ll take you to the office.”

Your point of view:

You look back at travis. There’s a visible blush on his face, and he’s staring straight at sally.

Oh.

OH.

A smirk forms on your face.

“No thanks, porcelain face. Me and blondie here will go by ourselves. Right?”

He growls, but you tighten your grip on his neck again and he nods.

“Uh, okay. Do you want me to take your skateboard or something?” Sal scratches his head and changes the topic. Just a sliver of jealousy can be found in him, but he is grateful for the nickname. It suits him.

Your expression darkens for a second, all of a sudden feeling possessive of your skateboard. He’s not touching it. It was your dad’s.

“No. Take my bag or something.” you nod towards it by the entrance of the school, where it sits. He obeys and gets up to pick up your bag. You pull travis up with you, blood dripping down your shirt and an arm around his shoulders. Sal’s quite a bit away at this point.

“You gay?” you hum. Travis’s back straightens and fear flashes through his eyes. How did you know? How the fuck did you know?

“No! Fuck you, you’re just a pussy who thinks she knows everything-” he starts yelling, trying to get away, but you interrupt him.

“God, shut up. You’re making my head hurt more. It’s okay, you know. I wont fucking tell anyone about your little self exploration journey.” you pat him on the back and he flushes.

“Fuck, you’re so sappy it’s disgusting.”

“I’m not gonna be a dick to someone because of their sexuality, fuckass. I’m not that low. Let’s get to the school.”

Asra

There’s been a strange shift in your aura of late, the last few weeks Asra has felt it grow stronger and stronger with each passing day and tonight its particularly strong.

That evening the two of you are just enjoying each others presence, his head resting against your stomach as you twirl a strand of his white hair in your fingertips.

Already he can feel you falling asleep with your hand tangled in his hair and it makes him tired too, eyes fluttering open and shut.

Then all of a sudden the smallest wave of magic taps him on the cheek.

Asra is wide awake in an instant, frowning as he lifts his head to look at your placid face, eyes closed. Was that you?

And then it taps him again.

No it’s not your magic, but it feels similar. Like a combination of your magic and his. Something new...

Trying not to alarm you or wake you from your own slumber Asra shifts to place a palm against your stomach and tentatively prods back with his own magic.

And once more something prods back, four somethings.

Four little sources answer back and Asra’s heart skips a beat.

Oh, that is a surprise.

Asra resists a chuckle and just presses closer to you, making you grumble in your half asleep state.

“Wahzat? Asra?”

“It’s okay love, I’m just getting comfortable is all.” He sees no point in awaking you yet, you’ve only just started to drift off

You haven’t even noticed Asra and the magic he’s radiating, his magic cradling and soothing those tiny beings inside.

How he’s longed for his own child, and now along come four in one.

Asra can’t wait to see the look on your face.

Four children and you don’t even know it yet, he’ll tell you in the morning but for the moment he just wants to let them know he’s there and that he always will be.

Nadia

With the help of a carefully picked donor you have both decided to try for a child, and although you agreed to carry the child she still asked you if you were sure a thousand times over.

Although the first try had no success, the second try became the winner.

Its been weeks and Nadia has been so busy she’s almost forgotten about trying for a child.

You’re in her room changing into a night gown, which in itself isn’t strange, but you seem... different, somehow.

She thinks to herself you’re probably just a bit more sun blemished today or that you’re wearing a different hue of eye shadow.

But you’re glancing at her once every-so-often, more than usual as if you’re waiting for the perfect moment.

The next time she looks up from her seat at her bed you’re knelt by Nadia with the most serious expression on your face. Concerned she asks you if everything is alright, and your expression remains so serious she can’t comprehend the words that come out of your mouth.

“Yes, after all it isn’t everyday I get to tell the love of my life that I’m pregnant.”

And for what seems like the first time since you met her, Nadia blanks, staring at you in confusion.

A slow realisation dawns on her face and she’s standing pulling you up with her with a gasp, and already peppering your face with kisses and laughing clear and crisp.

“You had me worried for a moment Y/N,” she scolds, moving to slide a hand to your stomach with a delighted hum.

“There’s one more surprise, although you might want to sit down again...”

And after you both settle yourselves down, you break the news that there are four babies not just one, Nadia is just too busy smiling thinking of how fitting it is that the two of you should have a large family like her own.

She can’t wait.

Julian

That evening after getting over a bout of ‘food poisoning’ Julian manages to drag you out for a few drinks at the Rowdy Raven.

He’s downing Salty Bitters like there’s no tomorrow, rowdily cheering at the fiddle player who is striking up a feisty tune.

Once every so often grinning back at you, your non-alcoholic drink playing between your hands unnoticed.

Startling as Julian’s hand tugs your’s, asking for a dance with that silly grin on his face. His energy is almost infectious as he leads you out into the jostling crowd.

He’s spinning and twirling you and thankfully you don’t feel as sick as you did earlier in the week because otherwise you’d be sick by now.

As the feisty tune ends you’re almost breathless and Julian curiously asks you if you’re okay as a slow tune sets pace for a slow dance.

“Oh, yes. I’m just finding it harder to catch my breath since I’m pregnant.”

“Well, that would make dancing a lot harder...”

Giving you a bewildered look, Julian in his partly drunk daze grabs your shoulders begging you to repeat what you just said.

“We’re having babies Julian... four of them.” He almost faints, falling back into a chair with a million questions on his mind.

The two of you leave the Raven early that night and as you walk down the street Julian is looking you up and down in adoration. His hand about your waist, just brushing your stomach.

Will he be a good enough father? Will they like him? What if they hate him?! So much to do and think about, he’s so eager and scared at the same time, but when you give him that soft smile Julian’s worries feel almost non-existent.

The two of you together? Those kids are going to have the best parents ever.

Muriel

Something’s up, Muriel knows that much. You’ve been acting weird, well, weirder than usual.

Your moods have been all over the place and Muriel is pretty sure you’re not feeling tired all the time just because of all the ‘late nights’ you’ve had.

Last week you cried over seeing a doe with twin fauns, and again over how good his scrambled eggs were.

And that day finally comes, and for first time in weeks you’re pretty calm accompanying him to a farmer’s orchard to pick some apples (with the farmer’s permission of course.)

Sunshine dappling your faces as you pick fruit from the floor, Muriel spots you visibly wincing when you have to bend low.

Muriel’s eyes are constantly watching you with confusion, as you weave through the trees almost causing him to bash his head against a low branch.

When he finds his way back to your side you point excitedly at a perfectly round red apple, despite his own height it is out of his reach.

Humming in thought you encourage Muriel to sit you on his shoulders, and you just manage to reach the apple yelling in triumph as Muriel sets you back down.

And he notices you’re smiling down at the apple tenderly. “I bet I’ll be rounder than this apple in a few months...”

“What?” Muriel is staring at you. “Why... would you be?” Your hand flies to your mouth as you hide a grin, Muriel’s face is set in a deep frown.

“Well, I’m just, saying... with four babies I’m going to be HUGE!”

The deepest shade of red is colouring Muriel’s cheeks as he looks down at you, to your eyes then to your stomach then back to your eyes.

“You mean...I’m- we’re going to be...parents?” Muriel sidles up to you curiously, tentatively reaching out. Grabbing his hand you slide it to your stomach with a nod and laugh. Using your own hands to cup his face and giving him a soft kiss on his cheek.

How in the world? He’s astonished and scared, and although Muriel doesn’t know if he’s ready, it doesn’t seem like such a scary thing with you. He wants to try.

Portia

As with Nadia the two of you have, with the help of a donor decided to have a baby together.

The two of you having had a friendly argument about who was going to try having the baby first, through some deductive reasoning you two agreed you would be the best candidate.

Unsurprisingly Portia has been bouncing around at the prospect of having a baby, she’s already knitted 20 little sweaters to pick out as the baby’s first clothes.

And that morning as you come back from a checkup from the ever helpful future uncle Julian, Portia is already jumping up and down after rushing back for a ‘lunch break’ to meet you.

“So? What happened? Any luck, what did Julian say?”

You’re laughing at her excitement and have to force her to sit down on the love seat, trying in vain to calm her down.

“Well Julian had a listen and... I am pregnant!”

Portia tackles you into a bruising hug and you have to quickly remind her you are pregnant, so she goes to nuzzling your face and laughing behind her kisses as you chuckle back.

“Oh, that means you can finally pick out your favourite sweater!” Portia picks up the overflowing basket of baby clothes and presents it to you like its a medal.

Biting back another laugh you survey the clothes and pick out your four favourite ones. Portia watches you eagerly to see which one you’ll pick out of the four but your hand stays gripping them.

“A toss up, hm?”

“Oh, no these four will do.”

“Um, Y/N if you bundle the baby up in four sweaters it might get too warm...”

“I know, that’s why there’s only one for each of them.” Portia purses her lips with a thoughtful frown and then her mouth falls open.

“You’re having FOUR!?” You just burst out laughing in answer.

She’s going to have to make a lot more sweaters, but she can’t wait to coddle four babies and have lots of fun with her family. With any luck they’ll be just as cute as you!

Lucio

You have a surprise for him? But he’s meant to be spoiling you, he loves spoiling you!

Although he can’t help but get excited as you near the bedroom.

So its that kind of surprise?

No, the two of you have already passed your shared room and you lead him to the room across from the door he was expecting.

“Um, Y/N our room is that door!” Lucio points, but you shake your head and tell him to close his eyes.

Lucio is starting to get sceptical of what kind of surprise this is but with a shrug he closes his eyes and allows you to lead him through the door.

The smell of paint hits his nose first and there’s the tinkling of bells somewhere off to his right.

“...and open your eyes!”

Lucio can’t remember what this room used to be but whatever it used to be it looks totally different now.

The walls are painted with a fresh coat of cream above and pastel green below and there are sheer curtains lining the windows and where you are now standing there are four cribs each with a mobile with tinkling bells?

“Don’t worry I had Portia and the other servants help me, there’s a few things to get done still but, do you like it?”

Lucio is examining the room with a critical eye, as he slowly walks toward you turning on the spot before coming to a stop before the crib’s.

“You’re pregnant?”

“Well yes, unless the doctor lied to me...”

“Why are there four?”

Chuckling wryly you suck your teeth with an innocent expression as Lucio turns to gape at you. You can’t even nod before Lucio’s hands are picking you up at the waist and twirling you around with barking laughter kissing your lips as he sets you back down on your toes.

“I guess this makes me look like a good lover,” at the jest you smack him lightly with a warning expression laced with a smile.

How lucky is he to get a second chance with you?

Alright I’m D*pressed So I’m coping by making a tips list of how to live in quarantine.

Literally just get the closest pen and notebook and write out your schedule

I don't care if you have nothing to do.

It can be as simple as just a to do list of simple life sustaining actions because I know some of y'all aren't sleeping or eating.

Remember to take your medicine.

This large chunk of unscheduled time just breeds forgetfulness and carelessness so please remember to take your medications

especially those of you that take medications that cause you serious mental and physical drawbacks if you miss a dose

getting dressed actually helps with tricking your brain into thinking it needs to actually get work done.

you're home a lot more now which means you're going to be making an even bigger mess.

just please wash your dishes right after you use them and don't let them pile up

also since you’re spending so much time at home now. You no longer have an excuse not to clean.

I know the prospect of not having to be awake at a certain time just makes it oh so tempting to stay up until 5am but I’m begging you not to

Just because you don't have anywhere to be doesn't mean you get to stop being a functional human. 

trust me falling asleep at 5am and waking up at 3pm sounds great in theory, but all it does is mess with your brain.

autistic anon here ! i cant speak for other autistic people bc every one of us is different but for me autism is - im v sensitive to sounds, to lights, to everything basically. -stimming ! i have a lot of stims for example when im excited i bounce on my leg (like a toy spring) or i swing from left to right when I'm upset or trying to distract myself i hum or do "fish sound" ( like i open and close my mouth really fast) i also like to collect dice :> im also really sensitive and cry easily (1)

Thankyou for sharing!!! The way I experience ADHD and Dyslexia is also different from how other people experience it, but it's still categorized with a general overview to help other people understand better. Although some people dont get that and are stoopid, but we pretend like they dont exist cause if they invalidate us like that then they themselves are invalid :) hahaha it's a 2 way sword

For me personally, loud noises scare me literaly more than death and my family would always yell at me to stop being 'extra' about it cause 'it's not THAT loud' aparently. Like excuse you, I would like to be able to hear when I am older plz turn the volume down but it also lowkey scares me shitless but aparently that's not valid so >:/

I think the swedes would quickly learn how exactly things like sound and light affect you, and they wouldent see anything abnormal about when you go silent for a while. Since the swedes them selves hardly talk at all, they pritty much are 100% cool with it and can properly handle your silent communication.

I totaly headcannon Oscar having ADHD so actions like bouncing you leg, swinging from side to side, and the fish sound thing are nothing strange to them. If anything, they are glad that language is a little more coded for you, since for Oscar it all just had one meaning.

The cats love you. If they want pets, they walk right up to you cause they know their fluffiness temps you and they use it to their advantage. If you and Oscar go to a fabric store or smth, he WILL drag you around to find the softest material and then just bury his face in it. At one point Oscar and Otto are tempted to like, knit or sew something really soft for you. Mabey like a scarf or smth you can just grab and feel whenever u want. Which actually reminds me of this weird thingy thing that I dont know what it's called, but it's like a rope thing you make with your hands. Like you weave it on your fingers instead of on a loom or using knitting needles or smth. When I was younger I just made them as long as I could even though I didnt use them for anything. Heres a pic of a short one that I tied knots into when I was younger (I'll try and figgure out if my mom knows what its called) if I could, I would use up an intire thing of yarn making those dont tempt me. ESPECIALY THE SOFT YARN

If you ever get super emotional the swedes know just what to do to make u feel better. Cuddled? Hug? Kisses? Food? Back rubs? Alone time? Whatever it may be, they will provide. Oscar may or may not also meow back to the cats, making you guys not alone buddies. Not being born in america, the swedes have a hard time understanding american and English jokes so dont worry. They are more serious people anyways, so jokes and sarcasm arent really their thing.

I however, LOVE puns and my discord and minecraft username is actually Pun Empress >:) I use the super power of my dyslexia to find similarity between words to make the play on words and everyone either hates or loves me for it. A battle I am willing to fight.

The Introduction of Skeksa and Amri

I’ve had this idea in my brain for awhile of how Season 2 could introduce Skeksa and Amri into the storyline. This is a headcanon of sorts, but if it somehow becomes true then call be a phrophet, becuase i know everything!

season 2 better introduce Skeksa and Amri in the most dramatic, pirate way possible. 

(This can also be a perfect opportunity to introduce Amri, since Season 1 didn't have a chance too. I’m not too well-versed in the J.M Lee books as I’ve only read book 1, but I’ve read from snippits/other tumblr posts that Amri likes to boast and flirt on occation.  I know he’s a soft bean, but I just like that thought of a pompus, kind-of-dickish Amri that slowly starts to become the small bean we see in the novels. If anyone who’s read the books can tell me if I got Amri’s nature down right) 

imagine--> Our heroes (Brea, Kylan, Naia, Gurjin, Rian, Hup, Seladon and A very weak Darkend Deet), tied up to their the railing/mast of the pirate ship.  Rian and Gurjin, with Kylan between them, are tired by their wrists to hooks strung up on the Shrouds (The Spiderweb ropes commonly found on ships).  Naia and Brea  and Seladon are tied to latches bolted to the railings. Hup, unfortunately, Is tied upside down, being swung back and forth by a pair of Gelfling triplets who find amusement in the podlings apparent motion sickness. 

No one has touched Aughra, who sits with her cane on a small barrel near the girls.  No one would dare come close to the old crone, for fear of the wrath from her eight-and-a-half-fingers. 

Deet, due to her uncontrollable powers, and the fact that the ship is a living breathing ecosystem, is put into a close-knit metal cage, hanging off the edge of the ship by a hook above the raging sea.  Deet can bairly keep her eyes open, what with the darkening coursing within her draining her of energy.

Everyone is dishevel and sweaty and groggy from being unconscious for hours 

Surrounding them, Gelfling not of Sifa, or any other clan, origin, sneer and smirk at them from every corner of the ship. Some dangle from the large sail mast, others on the railings. A group sit on a cluster of old barrels, while a few stand on the main deck. Every Gelfling had a weapon within his or her hand, ready to brandish them at any sign of struggle.  Scars mar their bodies. At their feet, Fizzgigs and other creates growl with anticipation of a new snack. 

At the very front of the group,  A grotton with a half-shaved head and blue cloak stands with a high-and-mighty energy to him. At his hip, a vapran sword gleams in the light. He whips it out, using the blade to point to each of our heroes. 

He addresses his crew with bravato, walking slowly up to the group “Very good, everyone! A fine catch from the Silver Sea. Now, lets see what treasures we’ve dragged in from the surf...”

Moving swiftly, he digs the blade into Rian’s neck. Rian growls as the blade shines against his face. Amri casts a smirk at him, amusement dancing within the black pools of his eyes.  “A Pretentious Stonewood,”

He points to Kylan, who whimpers as Amri’s sword presses into his cheek. “A cowardly Sprition.... No, wait, a cowardly Half-breed Sprition,” A laugh escapes his chest. “You should really do better to conceal yourself. Your Stonewood ears are showing.”

He barely looks at up as he walks past, not bothering to stop the triplets from their playitme.  “A disgusting Podling,”

He turns to Gurjin, drawing his blade across the drenches large forehead.  “ A flat-footed Drenchen,”. He swipes the blade off Gurjins forehead swiftly, leaving a faint but noticeable red mark. 

“And his flat-footed Sister!” A roar of laughter erupts from the crowd of gelfling. Amri moves closer to Naia, pressing his blade under her chin. Naia’s gills quiver in anger, a soft rattling sound echoing from her neck. Amri’s brows knit in concentration. “Flat-flooted, yes, but... better looking by a considerable margin.”

A rush of heat rushes to Naia’s cheeks. Gurjin squirms against his ropes, muttering under his breath. 

Amri ignores Gurjins insults as he moves to Brea and Seladon. With his blade, he taps Seladon’s new All-Maudra Crown. “The Traitorous All-Maudra,” Then turns to to Brea. “And her transgressor sister.” 

“You stole that Vapran Sword,” Brea notes, her eyes falling to the bejeweled hilt. 

“Oh this? I’d say Stolen is a strong word. I like the term, Generously donated to be a much better alternative.”

Beside them, Aughra huffs and ‘Bahs’ as Amri walks in from of her. “It seems we have Mother Aughra on our vessel. The Deserter of Gelfling kind,” 

Mother Aughra gives a sneer. “Speak for yourself, You half-shaven fizzgig.  Your grotton. Used to live in caves did you? Now you snort sea-salt with these sun-frenzied lot. Quiet the contrast. Come any closer with that stick-- and I’ll fling you into the waves.” Using her walking stick, she taps Amri’s sword with annoyance. 

Amri growls at Aughra’s words, stepping back a bit away from the old crone, the crowed behind him having quieted to whispers. Turning from Aughra, he makes his way to the railing, grabbing hold of the shrouds and pulling himself up to Deet’s cage. Tapping his sword against the bars, Amri laughs as Deet cowers back a bit from the loud noise. The cage swings horribly over the ocean. Her dark veins glow from her agitated emotions.

“Stop!” Rian yells, struggling against the rope. “Don’t do that--You’ll scare her! Dont!”

Amri looks to Rian. Then to Deet. Then back to Rian. A wide smirk crosses the grottons face. “Oh,” He drawls.  He hops down from the railing, making his way over to Rian, drawing his blade to the Stonewoods neck again. “Would you look at that? it seems as though the Stonewood might have affection for the parasite that poisons the mainland,” With one fell swoop, Amri rakes the blade across Rians neck, drawing a very thin small line that trickles down is skin. Taking the ends of his blue cloak, Amri whips the blade clean before twirling it in his hand. “How romantic,” He sneers, his voice laced with amusement. 

The Gelfling behind Amri whoop with excitement as the captives struggle with their bonds as Amri twirled his blade

“No! Stop!” Deet yelps, thrusting her hand through the bars. The purple veins glow with the hideous purple residue of the darkening. 

“Stay back!” Amri screams, thrusting the blade into the cage, just barely striking Deet. “Parasites who drain the land of life don’t get a say in what I do or not.” Amri says, drawing back his blade. “As long as your feet are planted on his ship. You follow my rules--”

“Amri. Enough.” A voice calls, velvety and smooth. “You’re scaring the grotton. The Emperor specifically asked for her not to be harmed--physical or otherwise.”

The Gelfling go quiet as, with a flourish of her flamboyant long-jacket, A Skeksis emerges from the darkness of the ships cabin. With purple, blue and pink down feathers, a large over-jacket and a feathered hat, the Skeksis looks magnificent, towering over her crew. bravado laces her movements as she strides toward the captive. 

Amri backs away, sheathing his sword with a flourish of his hand. His large ears fall flat to his head “My apologies, Captain. I got a bit too... carried away...”

“As he always does,” A gelfling girl sneers, stroking a battle scared fizzgig. She’s younger then Amri, with tight brides weaved among her reddish-brown hair. 

“Amri always wants to be captain,” Her twin sneers. In her own hands, a pluffm chews on a large scroll. Her hair is shorter then her sister. “But all that Bravado will do him nothing if he cant strike his opponents--”

“Enough,” Skeksa snaps. The girls cower back in fright at the aggravated Skeksis. “You sound like childlings! Silence your mouths, or i’ll gladly stitch it shut for you.”

“Yes, Captain,” The girls say in unison. 

Aughra gives a huff as Skeksa strides toward her. “So, Skeksa, this is where you slinked off too. Cant say its an improvement.”

“Mother Aughra,” Skeksa greets, bending low to Aughra’s eye level. “How wonderful it is too see the incarnate of Thra has returned from her cosmic voyage. I hope it was worth the long absence.”

Aughra grumbles as she taps her staff on the walkway of the ship. “Wouldn't have done you any good. Your little brain would have popped half-way through. But i see now that you’ve done something considerable with your time. Not like your brethren. Not essence-dependent.”

 Skeksa laughs, deep throat and pleasant to the ears. Her purple and pink feathers ruffle in the salty sea-breeze. “My brethren were weaklings; too scared to gain a few scars. Too scared of death to face it head on.  I am nothing like them.”

“Bold words to say, considering you’ve answers the Emperors request to capture down Gentle Deet in order to take her back to the castle. You say you are nothing like them-- but just as plainly as the feathers on your wrinkled head, i can see that you are far from being different”

Skeksa sighs as she lifts herself to her full height. Hands behind her back, she walks slowly to Deets cage. “ Mother Aughra, I do what i must-- if not for the mainland gelfling; then to my crew. The mainland dies due to the power that rushes through the grottons veins. It effects everything--even the skeksis who live within the castle. How can i sit back when the dakrneing that leaks from gentle Deets body threatens to poison our world? I am mearly doing what is nessisary for Thra.” 

“Necessary for you. Not to Thra.” Aughra retorts. 

Skeksa chuckles. Moving her hand through the bars and using a claw, she lifts Deets head to look at her. Deets eyes are a deep purple, blurry with Darkned-fever.  Her breathing is labored, and as far as Skeksa can see, the veins are a deeper purple then before. Skeksa flicks the claw away, creating a red line under Deets jaw. “Quiet the contrary, old crone. You left to bring Knowledge to Thra-- tell me again how that turned out?”

Aughra says nothing. 

Skeksa cant help but chuckle again. “That’s what I thought.” With a violent push of her hand, Skeksa batters the cage, sending it swinging back and forth violently. “Gelfling, To Cera-Na!”

“To Cera-Na!” The gelfling echo as every gelfling scrable to their places within the ship. Gelfling climb up ropes and masts, going this way and that as they prepare the ship for departure. Brandishing their knives, Several cut down Rian, Gurjin and Kylan, catching them before they can fully hit the floor.

 Rian struggles violently as he is carted off, his hands bound behind his back.  “Deet! Deet! Let me go! Let! Me! Go! Noo! Deet!”

“Rian!” Deet screams, watching as a hatch is lifed up from the floor and the Stonewood is thrown in, followed by the deep yelp of Gurjin and Kylans whimper. Hup is thrown inside as well, his tiny body hitting the floor harshly before the hatch is closed. “Rian!”

Amri, his sword in hand, beats the cage one more time,silencing Deet. With a smirk, he makes his way to stand at Skeksa’s side. 

Brea, Seladon and Naia are cut from the railings. They’re dragged forcefully into the cabin. Aughra is left to walk herself, no one daring to touch her as she takes a swipe here and there at the Gelfling as she walks to the cabin. 

Skeksa surveys her ship, at the hustle and bustle of Gelfling as the vessel takes off through the silver surf.

My Trans Story

Story of my social and medical transition under the cut, I know its not trans day of visibility anymore but consider this a belated contribution. I hope it helps anyone who’s questioning, or even anyone whos curious about the experience. This is very long and has some mention of dysphoria, abuse, bullying but also has a happy ending so thats your warning:

The earliest I remember giving any indication of being trans was at five or six years old on my way to primary school with my mother (who I will mention was a fairly good mother at the time - this will be relevant later). I turned to her in my little green and white uniform dress and said “I’m a boy, aren’t I mum?” I’m not sure what prompted the question really curiosity maybe but my mother laughed it off - something I dont blame her for, kids say silly things all the time. I wouldn’t say I was a super boyish kid. Yeah I liked a bit of rough and tumble play, I was into pokemon cards, then yu-gi-oh, beyblades - which were all considered “boy” things when I was at school. I liked to play british bulldog and tag, and as I got older I’d get into Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons, The elder scrolls and other nerdy things which are seen as more unisex now but again in the time were considered “boy” interests. But I liked having long blond hair, and I was curious about make-up. I liked to bake and sew and weave, and as a child I even enjoyed knitting. I cried easily and got hurt often - I was accused of attention seeking through most of my childhood though even looking at myself critically I can only ever remember wanting validation. When I was hurt, when I’d achieved something I was proud of - my motivations were called into question when I sought out help or interest. I remember being heartbroken when art I’d worked on was dismissed or I was told the bad bruise I’d gotten was nothing to be upset over and to stop seeking attention. It set me on a path of questioning everything I did and why I did it.

Unfortunately I have a lot of memory gaps in the lead up to high school and through much of school.

Fairly early on in school though I came out as bisexual. Honestly I think a part of me was threatened by cis guys masculinity and that drove me to women. I had a fairly even number of girlfriends and boyfriends. One relationship the boy I was with implied being ready to try sex and we ended up breaking up not long after when I distanced myself. I didn’t know how to explain the discomfort with my own body that I didnt even understand. How I didn’t want to be touched in certain places or do certain things. I felt like a freak.

It didn’t help that I was already bullied pretty much from the get go in highschool, from age 11 I did have many friends and there were periods where I had none. I was bullied for my hair, for not having friends, for being gay, for being depressed. Hell sometimes I was bullied for being bullied - high school is weird. 

I was also... “bullied” by a “friend” who would hit me, talk down to me, at times wouldn’t let me sit on furniture. Once she choked me to the point of passing out among other things. Somehow I was still convinced she must like me on some level - why else would she hang out with me? I wish I’d known better. She introduced me to the concept of being transgender but not in a way I identified with. She told me about a documentary of “Boy becoming girls and girls becoming boys.” she told me “The girls that become boys are always still pretty, you can tell they were girls. But the boys that become girls, you cant tell they were boys they just look like ugly girls.” I imagine shes less ignorant now but its stuck with me.

Eventually around age 16 Two trans people spoke at my school. They talked about how they always felt different, things they’d disliked about themselves - the relief of coming out. I understood completely but my brief excitement was dashed by their talking about harassment and fear. I wrote my email address on a slip of paper and ‘please help’ which I put in the box they were collecting at the back of the room for any questioning youth. They never emailed me. I made an appointment with my doctor.

I actually begged my doctor to fix me, and he referred me to a GIC (Gender Identity Clinic) in Edinburgh. It took a full year to actually be seen there. I told some of my close friends about my concerns and confusion, and came out as genderfluid. I used a random R based male name to try and settle - knowing that as it was fandom related I’d change it later. When I spoke to the specialist at the GIC, I came out as a Trans Man, I felt validated. I came out to my family not long after and it was not well received. My cousin (who had spent every summer with us for as long as I could remember and I viewed like a sibling) died when I was 14. My godmother (his mother) died a year after. Within the ten years since my cousins death, he, my uncle on my mothers side, my great grandfather, my godmother, my gran and my grandad have all passed away. When I came out to my dad he begged me not to put more strain on our family. My mother turned to drink when I was only 14 and had worsened becoming more and more abusive as time went on. I’d had mental and physical health issues since the age of 8 and my experiences were being written off. My mother got worse, and I ended up being her full time carer for a few years. She was abusive, she hit me, she destroyed my things, she wrote on the walls and threatened me with knives. When a letter for my third GIC appointment came, (the appointment that would have gotten me hormones) I highly suspect it was my mother that destroyed it. I didn’t even know I’d been dropped from the list until six months later when I called to ask when my next appointment would be. I’d apparently missed it and for that reason they’d silently, without fuss, taken me off their active patients list. I was upset but handling my mother was enough strain for me not to fight my case for another few years. I went to attempt college for a second time in 2015 - nearly six years after I first came out, and four after my first GIC appointment. I called my best friend over to my house, and together we sighed 15 deedpolls changing my name and title legally. I contacted the clinic and got another appointment for that September. The doctor wanted longer - more appointments to get to know me, but after hearing I’d already had two with another doctor, had waited four years, had told the story I’ve told you now - she told me she wanted to get me on hormones for christmas. She rearranged her schedule and had me come in on december 9th, four days later I had my first doze of testosterone. I didn’t tell my father that I’d started hormones but I had told him prior that I was going to soon. My dad continued not to accept me, as did one of my tutors at college. I kept my head down and muscled through. I’d become so used to not passing that only 4 years later, when Im passing easily and consistently, its both a shock and yet somehow feels like its always been the case. I had top surgery on October 23rd 2017. To my surprise, my father came to the hospital. He’d said he wouldnt visit, but made the 4 hour drive anyway. Last summer, he started introducing my as his son to strangers. He started inviting me out for drinks with him and my brother. He treated me how I had always wanted. Sure he still drops the feminine endearments in - but I’m not going to fault him that. Everyone I meet assumes Im cis until I tell them otherwise. I was finally comfortable enough in 2017 to come out as gay, and I’m now engaged to my wonderful Fiance who is just beginning his own transition journey. My point? It gets better is a tired phrase that feels worn out by use. And no my life isn’t perfect but dysphoria and lack of love is definitely not the problem. Years ago I felt I’d never pass, I told people as much. I thought I was ugly, and unlovable. Now I like how I look, I Know i pass because people call me “sir” “Mr” ect. One of the tutors for the university I applied to was excited to “finally have a man in the class.” 

The journey is long, and at no point can you see the end of it. Eventually you just look back and see how far you’ve come. Stay strong.

She goes past me without stopping, but as she gets to my brother she swoops down and kick him out of hiding, blaming him for her daughters death. I then jump out of my own hiding, yelling at her that it was me who did it. I tell her exactly what happened, and she is sad. She is no longer on fire, rather looking really gloomy and cold. After I’m done telling her she says she just wishes I had gone back and told her what happened right away with sad sad eyes, and then she leaves. I rewind time again, set on getting it right. This time I never mention the clock, instead tries to keep the girls attention off it. She makes it down the hill and parts with me without catching on fire :) I walk to my brothers house, where things are strange and tense. My brother acts aggressive but haven’t tried to kill anyone, so I consider that progress. Scared still he’ll hurt my bunnies directly or indirectly (by leaving them in their cages while killing me) I take them to the woods, trying to help them dig a burrow before releasing them so they will have somewhere to escape. While digging I run into a pixie, being a little annoyed I’m digging for some reason. I follow him, which makes him anxious, because he very obviously tries to get inside a door without me noticing that appears out of nowhere but seems to have a set time before it disappears again. I ignore him and walk right in while he protests. Inside there is a lot of peopleish looking pixies that run around. There’s seems to be one in charge, sitting around on something like a throne, greeting me like they’ve been expecting me. This is apparently a collection of minor gods living here in what do looks like a windowless house, and so are we though we are even more minor being stuck in one realm. There is a fox following me from the moment I stepped inside here, but it’s not actually an animal so much as my own curiosity in the shape of a fox, and they tell me I should feed it or it will run away from me. They seem pleased to have me there. I follow it down some empty stairs to what looks like a hallway and the actual front door of this place. I open the door and look outside at entire worlds passing by, seeing hundred of tiny blue shiny “strings” being pulled from me in different directions and different planets. I realize that every second I spend on this ~ship~, I create a thousand splintered realities, somehow leaving my DNA footprint across the universe and possibly having a billion babies or something. I make the decision to jump out just as I see all strings suddenly weave together in one again and follow it out of the ship. My reality is back to what it was “supposed” to be with one stable string and I am back at the top of the mountain - but now things are devoid of colour or nuance, everything is black and white.
