“I shouldn’t allow myself to get this close to you,” Anden remarks. He tilts his head to the side, long fingers playing against the lip of Titus’s shirt.

“Why?” Titus replies. His voice is sinuous, lapping through the dark. One hand is curled in the other man’s honey-blonde hair, holding him there like an animal caught in a trap.

“As if you aren’t aware,” Anden scoffs. “I wouldn’t be in this mess if I hadn’t gotten too close in the first place.” Anden meets his gaze, hazel of the sun shearing through the height of the trees Titus has only dreamed of. Blue crystal lights around his irises, a sapphire flame, and Titus thinks of the sky and the rumors of its vastness. “Besides, if I’m not careful enough, I think you might just eat me alive.”

It’s Titus’s turn to scoff this time, trenched with derision. Anden’s pupils darken as Titus lengthens the cut of his nails in his hair, sharp above the nape of his neck.

“I have no reason to devour you, Anden,” he says. “Your death would serve me no purpose. All my leverage upon you is linked to your breathing life.”

“True enough,” Anden replies, “but you may devour me yet.”

“I may,” Titus agrees, black with velvet and the serration of a knife, weighted and sure. “You’ve demonstrated it already before. You’ve no sense of self-preservation great enough to stop me.”

He kisses Anden full on the mouth, consuming. Anden meets him with vigor, one hand reaching up to lance itself through the decadent fabric at Titus’s back. It’s stripped away under the presence of the droonlight, Titus’s bare back a broad thing, dark amber rippling over muscle as he rests on his knees above Anden upon his bed, buried in him deep as Titus pins him down by a hand at his neck and the small of his back. He fucks him violently, no kindness in the action of it, not even a petal left to be shredded. Anden bucks back against him, the onslaught laid over him like rot, air punched from his lungs as he gasps and fists the abyss of the sheets, silk snaring between his fingers.

When he reaches for himself, pawing back between his legs, Titus tears his hand away with a snarl, gathering them both at the small of his back and forcing Anden down further, mouth popping open as his cheek is pressed against the bed.

“You’re a prick,” he gasps, vitriol slit through his tone like vinegar.

“You’ll come from my cock or not at all,” Titus growls at him in response, jarring Anden up the bed, sheets skewing under his knees. He ruts against him, sweat gathering and dripping down his back, against the length of Anden’s spine, and Titus grips his wrists tight, his other hand smothering in Anden’s pale lychee-honey hair.

He’s made Anden come this way before, untouched and throbbing. He’ll make it happen again. Anden had tried to wield control over him before, secrets lauded against his ribs to feather free across the shadows of the court, and Titus had taken it from him with his own tools—poisons and blackmail and carnal hooks. The only control between them now belongs to him, and Titus will keep it that way, tied tight in his grip like Anden’s breath as he gasps beneath him, fraught through and rippling with arousal and rebellion and dependence.

Anden is right, after all. He did get too close, and now he spends each day living on the tenuous rope of the consequences of his own blind actions.

its been months since did his custom delivery questline but these have been singed into my head ever since

honestly in my head i like to think that the First!Noi is literally so normal. a normal guy. he works in the Crystarium as part of the crystalline mean. and i actually had the idea of a blue quest where he's connected to the anden questline because my HC is that Anden and Noi were childhood friends LMAO

alongside my third OC, Viper. who is relatively normal in his ffxiv edition compared to how i use him in my oc rp groups LMAO

in my head the custom delivery quest connects to a follow up blue quest where Noi in the Crystarium asks the Warrior of Light about the rumours he's heard about Ilhl Mheg. He says he used to belong to a tribe further in the forest of Fanow, but for a brief time, he went to Voeburtite for a bit with his two childhood friends. They all picked out names—he chose Noi, because he liked the calm and quiet, where his friend chose Viper because he thought it was cool, but his last friend preferred to blend in and chose Anden.

"When the Light came in, I was worried for my siblings," Noi says. "I seperated myself from my friends and returned to my forest to ensure their safety." His voice is quiet. "Well, things went awry in the process, and I couldn't save them in the end. I followed the wave of refugees and eventually found myself a place here, under the Exarch's guidance. I'm happier, now, honestly, but in the quiet moments of the night I find myself wondering all too often what happened to the rest of my people." "Tales of your visits - especially your exploits in the former ruins of Voeburtite stroke a bit of a chord in me. What was it like there?"

The Warrior of Light tells him about their adventures directly, and Noi listens with keen interest.

"Wait. You said you have met Gillte— I mean, Anden? Truly? Gods, a miracle in itself... I'm sorry to impose, but would you mind taking me to him?"

They bring Noi to Anden's sheep shed where he has all his fairy friends and its like such a sweet reunion but also with some pixies almost threatening to turn Noi into a leaf man too im crying

"Wait, I recognize those highlights.... Could it be, Ukina? You survived!" Anden's ears perk up in astonishment. "You are the one who defied all odds here, Gilltett," he laughs, light and lilting. "Though it is very much like you to have managed to worm your way into every heart. You were always the sweetest one of us." "Ha, I assure you, it wasn't all that great," Anden scratches his cheek, no doubt recalling his times as a leafy green. "But I am glad to be back to the shape of a man. I can finally properly tend to the sheep as I should be." "Always the animals first with you, huh?" Noi chuckles, then turns to the Warrior of Light. "Thank you for reuniting me with my friend. I couldn't even dare hope to know that my family could have survived like this, but even if it's just my tribe brother, it is enough."

as a quest reward he gives high quality food. im crying

ITS MY HC that he is there afterwards and is in cutscenes whenever you turn in custom delivery quests. he visits anden often but for whatever reasons the pixies are scared of him HAHGSKGJHKSDHJG (they sense the freak nature that was roughly avoided here)

sometimes you see anden in the crystarium by the cafe having coffee with noi. and there's a third male viera there which is my other oc, viper! theyre hanging out.

Noi tells Anden that he's found a beloved, who is also a viera, and theyve both moved passed their old traditions in favour of staying together. they've gotten married so he can't go back and breed with the old tribe in fanow LMAOO and anden is like omg, that makes sense buddy. viper gets pissed off though and hes like IF NEITHER OF YOU WILL TAKE UP THE OFFER ILL GO MYSELF!!!!11!!1!1

he is absolutely skeletal when he gets back to the crystarium after which is so funny in my head. i will be drawing a comic about this

Set in the world of Diablo 2, but doesn’t require knowledge of the game. Sweet necromancer gets pulled into saving the world, and has a horrible time doing so.

Hidden Depths by starlit-hopes-and-dreams

Resh sold himself into indentured servitude to save his sick sister. Unfortunately, the guy who now owns him is a sadistic asshole, and Resh in big, big trouble. (This one was finished, but now a second part started :D)

Never by whumpflash

A different take on Captain Hook, how he lost his hand, and his history with Peter. Very gory, very horrible and so very fun. Other works: Penumbra, Sun and Glass

The Prince of Thieves by little-peril-stories

Fun facts about my Skyrim ocs that no one asked for.

Iremyn loves her hair. She was used to not having any choice on what to do with it so now that she does, she's constantly changing it up. It grows fast, too.

Iremyn had an arranged betrothed back home named Edhelis. He's like a slightly less rapey Bishop. Hates his guts, avidly avoids him whenever she visits home.

Both Iremyn and Anden are better cooks than anyone realizes, just because they don't do it often. Iremyn is much better at Falmeri cuisine than anything else, but she learns quickly from Xelzaz.

Maniae is also a good cook, but no one trusts her. She's got this aura about her that puts everyone on edge, they don't trust her not to put jarrin root in their food lol. Maybe rightfully so.

People mistake Riandis for being stupid, but he's very much not. Yes, he's more people smart than he is book smart, but he's book smart enough to have intellectual conversations with Lucien and Xelzaz on the regular.

Anden loves red apples but hates the green ones. Taliesin gets mad at him for never leaving any red ones for him lol.

Llileth isn't exactly sure where she's from, but she usually just goes with Solstheim if asked. Her father gave her up when she was young and her mother wasn't in her life until she was already an adult, so she spent most of her formative years on Solstheim in an orphanage.

Willow is a dark brotherhood assassin! That's how she met Iremyn, she was raised by them from a teenager after they caught wind of her killing her abusive father.

Only Iremyn and Nazir know Willow's real name. Gabriella did too. She lets people call her Pine if they're close enough to her though. (If you don't know, her last name is Pinevale.)

Being around Erryth gives you scary dog privileges, being the 6'2 intimidating looking mer that she is. No one would suspect that she's just a giant teddy bear full of love.

Do not let Visyanis in the kitchen.

Beldhora sometimes goes on little adventures with Iremyn after they meet up again, she can hold her own better than you'd suspect.

Llileth and Riandis were friends since they were both 16 & 17 (Llileth being the older one).

Ice cream choices for the cast of In the Deep of Trees please ?

Oooh! Yes! Okay let’s see; I did an answer before a while ago about what sort of sundae Titus and Sabine would split buuuut we’re about to get into greater territory here *cracks knuckles* 🍧🍦🍨

Sabine: smooth dark chocolate ice cream with mint and whole cherries accompanying.

Titus: ginger ice cream, dark-chocolate coated raspberries on the side.

Cyril: cucumber-cantaloupe ice cream.

Harmonia: chooses a cone, but it drips down her fingers. lychee-vanilla swirl with sticky rose syrup.

Lialaci: very light refreshing sorbet, limoncello or rose.

Sahil: rich, dark black raspberry ice cream with cloves.

Yelena: salted licorice cone.

Anden: green tea ice cream with paper thin green apple slices on the side.

Ormarie: light lychee ice cream drizzled with honey.
