Oddish OC Asks
No one asked this question, but when I saw it something sparked in my brain so I'm sharing.
Do they enjoy sitting on countertops?
Given the option, Nyx Shepard would always choose a perch over a chair. What might one consider a perch? A counter, a table, the arm of a chair, the back of a sofa, the railing or balustrade, the corner of a crate. Any place that offered a few extra inches to allow her feet to dangle, or that would allow her to curl up in some awkward way that looked uncomfortable to others.
Her perching tendencies would also include the lap of a partner, given the right location and inspiration. Of course, she was also more than happy to play someone else's perch or pillow, as long as cuddles were involved.
She really enjoys countertops, especially in any kitchen where Kaidan can be found. Watching him cook and just being with him made her feel almost normal, like things weren't always going to be ruled by the fullness of a heat sink and the sharpness of her aim. Perching on a counter also gave her a few inches of leverage on him.
The scant shift in angle always proved to bring about playful and tender attentions shared between them. It also could turn things in a passionate direction.
Perches started as a place for her to hide from the world and draft ideas of her own future. They were places that offered comfort and a place apart. They were where she felt most comfortable and connected to that childlike, playful part of herself.

What do you think of the Oddish line?
I like its great ability of adaptation, and I think that Oddish is a pokémon quite easy to take care of because of this.
Since I started diving into researching regional forms and variant forms, I noticed that the Oddish line - and Oddish in first - is very good at adapting to different environments and taking on characteristics from other lines (in the case of mixed breeds) and developing its advantages. An example of this adaptation part could be the Oddish-Cacnea mix I mentioned in a previous post: the Cacnea genes helped this Oddish to thrive even in harsher and desertic areas where other Oddishes couldn't tolerate since - if I remember correctly: I'm not a grass type expert - normally the Oddish line tends to be on the "sensitive-to-sunlight" side, preferring partial or complete shade and burying themselves in the ground to find some protection in other cases.
Probably, the only "downsides" of the Oddish line could be Gloom and Vileplume, not for anything specific but simply because Gloom's nectar (and its flower) can become quite smelly especially if the Pokémon is nervous or scared, while Vileplume's spores are so filled with toxic chemicals that can cause from allergic reactions (its pollen is highly allergenic) to cases of poisoning in both humans and pokémons. There could be some variants or mixed breeds that have a lower level of toxins in their pollen, but from what I know - again not a grass-type expert - it's difficult to find a variant that won't cause some allergic reactions (like hay fever or light skin rashes).

Jongho would be one of the boys who would gravitate towards a bigger person because I think he would like someone who is healthy in regards to themselves. He appreciates confidence a lot and while he does enjoy when his S/O is happy to be themselves he also knows that things can be hard sometimes.
Maybe at the start of a relationship you can find yourself having trouble with your self worth and image but once you get to know Jongho you open up and understand that he isn't someone who will look at your physical appearance.
Jongho just gives off so much respect that it leaves you like bawling your eyes out at home because of how great he is. He won't pressure you into doing something you don't want but he for sure will support you and motivate you when he knows that your goal is what you really want in life.
Jongho is just so great that at one point or another, you will in fact be changing your mind about yourself because his respect juice is just over the top and his affections will just have you second guessing any self loathing you might have because that man loves with his entire chest/thighs.
The day had been extremely pretty and the weather finally let up to allow Spring to move in. With the snow all melted and flowing down the rivers, the flowers were starting to grow and bring about the buzzing of bees.
You were glad to feel that the wind was just cool enough to get rid of the humidity that came with the water. And because of that you were more than happy to wear a flowy sundress that gave your legs room to breath while your arms were covered up by sleeves. It was enough to keep you both warm and cool.
Jongho had the day off and asked that you both leave the house rather than be cooped up all day. He wanted to breathe the fresh air for a moment due to being stuck in the studio/company all week. And with the day being so nice, he wanted to take advantage of it.
You were left a bit skeptical about going out because of how you spent so much time inside during the winter months to avoid getting sick. You weren't really feeling confident in yourself but you knew that being stuck inside for longer would only make things worse.
Plus you couldn't tell him no with the way he held your hand and rubbed his thumb along your skin. And you for sure couldn't voice your thoughts as he told you that he had a picnic planned and to dress all nice and pretty.
When you felt the wind on your skin to check the temperature before going out your first thought was to wear the sundress you bought one day while out shopping with Jongho. You could remember the way his eyes grew wide and lips twitch as a smile wanted to overtake his face when you showed him it.
You also couldn't take the giggle that came out his lips when you wore it for the first time.
And so around midday, you sat on a blanket alongside Jongho under a tree that overlooked the river. He had laid down, his arms behind his head as he rested. You had your legs stretched out in front of you, humming to yourself as you read over a book while soft music played in the earbuds you both shared.
Jongho shuffled closer to you, making you giggle as you scooted over, allowing him to wrap an arm around your waist and nuzzle his head into your side.
You heard groups of people starting to make their way into your cozy spot as the day progressed and people wanted to do the same thing as you and your boyfriend.
You heard giggling to your side, glancing up and seeing people snickering. You swallowed thickly when you caught them speaking quietly to each other and kept glancing your way.
You suddenly felt uncomfortable, rolling your shoulders and wiggling as you tried to cover up more with your shin length dress. You pulled your legs as close to you as possible, trying to make yourself seem smaller.
You flinched at the sweat that had begun to form on your legs that were attached to the blanket, trying to use your dress to wipe it away. You didn't notice the anxiety creeping in your body. Not until Jongho moved from you.
Your movements caused Jongho's arms to slip from your waist, making him wake up and frown at your movements. He leaned up to watch your facial expressions. It was subtle but he could see the frown on your lips, the pinch in your eyebrows as you fret over yourself and the things around you.
"My love." He called softly, playing with the fabric of your dress that you had bunched up in your fingers.
He was slow in moving to touch you, not wanting to startle you and make your anxiety even worse. You moved your hands closer to yourself, causing him to follow the path and finally link your fingers together atop your thigh.
Your lips twitch at the, leg beginning to bounce up and down. Jongho finally sat up, moving to sit behind you. He wrapped both of his arms around you, laying his cheek against the back of your head as his thumb rubbed along your hands that he held.
He felt your skin calming down, no longer twitching as you relaxed in his hold. When he felt you go slack, he scooted closer, pressing his chest against your back. His chin rested on your shoulder, breath hitting your ear making you haunch your shoulder from the tickle.
"Are you okay?" He asked you quietly, lazily rubbing his cheek on your skin.
"I'm okay." You whispered, looking down at your book.
Jongho sat up quickly, causing you to turn around to look at him. You felt his fingers squeeze your hand pulling it closer to your stomach. He hugged you tighter to him, making tears well up in your eyes.
"What happened?" He asked quietly.
You knew he already knew. He saw it every time you would fret over your clothing. He knew what kind of anxiety attack you might be having by just watching you. It was how he showed his love.
Jongho didn't need to tell you anything. He always showed his affections in his expressions and actions more than anything. It was the way he held himself. The way he held you that made you realize how much he actually loved you.
It was riveting to watch how much he put into his performances and passion in what he loved doing. And all that passion translated into his feelings for those he loved. If you knew Jongho well enough you would know that with just one look you were going to be safe with him.
He was silent, an observer and only talked when it called for it. He gave his opinions when he felt that others were wrong but he wouldn't try to change their mind if they were stubborn people.
With you he didn't try to change your mind. He only tried to ease it. It wasn't an easy thing to overcome your insecurities about your body image. Especially in this time and age with technology.
But he didn't have to say anything. He just had to hold you and make you feel how much he loved you and your everything. Maybe there were times where you needed to hear him voice that you were beautiful but when he held you like he was now, allowing his entire being to seep into your skin and take your anxiety away you felt like you were on cloud nine.
"I love you." He called out, making you look up at him.
You smiled through your tears, sniffling as he reached up to wipe them away.
"I love you too."

Heyo! I'm Cassiopeia!
The following blog is an ooc hub for all my pkmn irl accounts, and where the follows for all the accounts listed later in this post come from! This blog USED to be the rp blog for a character I no longer use and have no motivation for anymore, and is the main blog on this account, so I figured changing it into a hub blog of sorts would be a good idea.
I'm free to answer questions about my ocs ooc here, plot arcs, and generally talk about stuff in the pkmn irl community. I'll also possibly be boosting some accounts I think are cool, reblogging important posts and ask games in the community to hopefully spread them around a bit more, and just generally using this to store some posts about pokemon in general that I think are neat.
Info about the Mod and General Boundaries!
The following is some general information that might be useful. Like I said earlier, I'm Cassiopeia, but you can call me Cass, Cassi, or Pea! I use any pronouns, and I'm an adult (Adult meaning 18 or older in this case.) I'm the host of a system, and a splitroject (or whatever the term is I cant remember) with multiple sources, but notably several pokemon characters. Pokemon has been a systemwide special interest since we were a little kid, and we have a lot of opinions and headcanons, as well as know A LOT about the series as a whole. Our main account is @max-starfall but this is a seperate account so follows for pkmn irl stuff will come from here. A warning that we occasionally reblog heavy stuff or more adult oriented content on that blog (nothing outright nsfw, but usually some suggestive stuff and sexual humor, so minors beware)
I DO check peoples boundaries before I follow so don't worry! Only time I won't is if I miss them. Also sometimes I follow people just cause I think the blog is cool, but I tend to not interact outside of anons just cause while I like your blog, my blogs just can't or wouldn't interact, or I'm a little scared to, yknow?
Any pkmn irl rp account is allowed to interact with p much any of my blogs! Sentient pokemon, legendaries, eebies, etc etc etc. I run on Rotomblr being a multiverse. I may not interact much if our canons diverge too strongly for personal comfort but usually it's whatever cause of the previously mentioned multiverse thing. Some general stuff I go by on all my blogs are people do eat pokemon, and pokemon do eat other pokemon. There are small bugs and bacteria and shit thatre still. alive but not pokemon. Not all pokemon lay eggs. A more mammalian pokemon like stoutland would give live birth like a real dog, and stuff like the more plant like pokemon like sunflora or oddish produce seeds. Not going to go too into details but thats something that happens.
While I am an adult, I prefer not to engage with more suggestive or outright nsfw content on the pkmn irl sphere (but i may rb some suggestive stuff or make brief jokes VERY RARELY, always tagged). There's a lot of minors in this community, and I'd like to keep my blogs generally safe spaces for them to interact. If it's anything you wouldn't joke about with a middle schooler or high schooler, probably not. I try to tag stuff that can be upsetting on all my blogs, and I'll usually ask before doing anything big with anyone elses blogs. There's other stuff, but DNI's don't usually work, so I'll probably just block you if I don't like your vibes.

You CAN leave a message on my main account too, but I'd prefer to keep rp stuff here. If you already know my discord and we've chatted in dms there before in the past, that's also an option, but otherwise stick to tumblr.

@blazingvictory -the blog of a bba student with so many problems and issues.
@crater-champion - A blog for Florian, protag of SV, specifically violet in this case. Linked to the Juliana from the blog @union-circle, who is from Scarlet. Another scenario of both games being true yippe. Post DLC and Epilogue. Don't ask him about what happened to Blueberry's League once he left (Please do. He's going to dodge the question like mad and it'll be funny.)
@shields-down - The blog of a VERY excitable Blueberry student named Electra. They're just here to have a good time and be silly.
@dread-plate - A semi-doccumentation of a Challenge Run I'm doing of Ultra Sun. Rift is a dark typed human and former big shot battler who's trying to get away from it all, retracing the steps they did as a child on their Island Challenge.
@redwoodrevival - Redwood Revival and Rescue is a research facility and sanctuary for various pokemon, especially those from the past. The blog is run by the owner of the facility, Professor Redwood herself, as well as her two assistants, Fern and Ginkgo. Mostly just a place for me to ramble about my pokemon hcs lol. Please ask her shit Semi-Inactive due to lack of asks.
@capricious-syrpents - A blog run by a Blueberry Academy student by the name of Malus! Formerly a member of the League Club but kicked out during Kieran's Reign as champion for bullshit reason, Malus is now in the music club and also not happy about no longer being allowed within League Club. Used primarily in a Discord RP
@snug-as-a-bugtype-in-a-rug - An eeby deeby from Alola by the name of Deb. She's been turned into a cutiefly, and is not having a good time. Free her from the hell that is minimum wage. Inactive due to lack of motivation.
@acetrainerchrys - Chrys is a skilled trainer from Johto who moved to Paldea about a year ago. Following strange events that led her to hatching an egg that contained the legendary pokemon giratina, she has not known peace since. She's the cousin of Reaper Sys from @yveltalreal. What do you expect? Used primarily in a Discord RP
@a0ranger - Venus is the father of Reaper Sys from @yveltalreal and a ranger stationed in Area 0 in Paldea. As him about his work sometime! Mostly a place for me to talk about my headcanons regarding pokemon, especially those surrounding Area 0 and give some silly stories. Semi-Inactive due to lack of asks
@lucias-narauva-hell - Lucia is actually normal. Her biggest problem is Ms. Tyme's math class. Why are there people at her school with absurdly strong pokemon and basically superpowers? What the fuck. Used primarily in a Discord RP
@festivalofmasks - A blog of Carmine from the games, post DLC and epilogue. Inactive due to lack of motivation and uncomfortable asks I got early on into running the blog. May come back to it one day.

5. Do they have any unappealing habits (ex: picking their nose, hawking loogies)?
Depends on who you ask :D
Ah. She's mean when she's unhappy and her ability to find a weak spot and a tendency for violence makes it easy for her to be a bully. She sucks ketchup right out of the little individual package like it's a juice box. She forgets to check expiration dates and if it won't actively make her sick, she'll ignore it once it's pointed out.
When she was younger, she picked at her cuticles until they bled but she's just about gotten rid of that habit by the time she gets out of bootcamp. She smoked as a Red.
Do they daydream? Of what?

No. She's too hyperaware, for the most part. If it looks like she's staring into space she's actually using a reflective surface to check out the surroundings and/or processing an idea.
What was their favorite toy as a child?
None that she can recall. Balls or blocks, maybe. She liked to take things apart, make simple machines out of things she found. Once made a robot vacuum fly. She'd use a stick as a sword or a gun, depending on what story of Matthew's she was acting out for him. She was given a stuffed lamb in a gift backpack once, but it was stolen before she got attached to it. Rebuilt a gun out of broken ones when she was 11, if that counts.

For my end, I’m looking for oc X canon team fortress 2 character rp.
I’m more looking for sfw than nsfw but I can do either, though I’d prefer not every rp is heavily nsfw all the time. I naturally like to do 150 oddish word responses, detailed enough but still snappy to keep things moving, however I definitely vary my responses more than anything, depending on what the scene calls for. I can try to match what you need/prefer. I’m happy to try go longer, shorter, the only thing I don’t really do is I don’t like entirely one liner rps, I’d prefer a little more for most replies. If I’m not playing something right or how you’d like, I’m open to changing my responses and being respectfully critiqued no problem. I’m also open to just seeing how the rp goes or if you’re a meticulous long term plotter that’s just fine too, whatever works for you. I can do most themes like fluff comfort whatever. I am willing to probably do most darker themes within reason and won’t judge you for asking for them, DM me for further details.
I’m in lots of fandoms, you can ask me what (mainly video games cartoons and anime) and am willing to research and learn for ones I’m not, provided you’re patient and are ok to give pointers if I slip up at first. So I can most likely play whoever you like for your end, for either canon or x OC ships, or I can even make up an oc if that’s what you want etc. I prefer doing m/f but can do m/m f/f nb/m nb/f or nb/nb for too for you, np. I won’t do rpf stuff though, heads up, nor will I do stuff with minor characters (unless you want familial/platonic rps and to explore relationships outside of romance, which is a okay!). 1. How do they respond to having a song stuck in their head? Does that happen to them often?
Both Ruth and Rona like to sing and have really nice voices actually. Rona is a bit shy, though, so she usually lowkey hums along with the stuck song. Ruth doesn't care and sings at the top of her lungs. If she must suffer the song stuck in her mind then so shall the others xD
Ruth is the one where this happens more often. She's also seldom seen without her music player at hand ^_^
7. How do they cope with losing an argument?
Rona rather loses an argument than having it escalate. She will be cranky though, if she feels it was an unfair solution. That's actually a thing she has to work on xD
Ruth mopes for a while if she loses. If over time she recognizes the merit in the other one's points/decisions, she'll approach them and comment as much, but it'll take a while because Pride is her vice and she has to overcome her stubbed ego first xD
She's totally up for escalating a heated argument into sexy times - only with Jim, though. There's no losers in that one ;)
14. Would they prefer to act or react?
Rona definitely is more a reacting type.
Ruth on the other hand likes to jump in and deal with the details as they come up.
18. What is the most inappropriate thing they have ever done in public?
That one time, a 10 year old Rona brought a Fereldan Fire Frog to the chantry service. Now, the Fereldan Fire Frog - and I quote from The Concise Illustrated Guide to the Flora and Fauna of Ferelden by Daveth Attbrough:
"is a remarkable animal. Small and of nondescript green-brownish colour, it is overseen easily in its natural habitat of muddy ponds and lakes. However, one will never forget an encounter with an angry specimen. If provoked sufficiently, its colour turns to an angry red, and it oozes off a slimy substance that sticks to everything that touches it, and causes red rashes not unlike stinging nettles, but of larger size and longer lasting pain. In this agitated state, the frog will also hop around frantically as a means of distracting potential enemies, to then go into hiding again and watch them agonize." *
Suffice to say chaos ensued when the frog escaped Rona's hold. The service ended prematurely and half the community had rashes and was very angry at Rona xD
For Ruth, it was hat one time during her days at the Military Academy in Amapá, Brasil, when she mooned one of the instructors she didn't like during a lecture. She had drawn two sleepy eyes on her buttocks, and written "BOOOORING!" above them in bold black letters. If you dig deep enough there's still the video circulating in the 'Net. Brother Ezra almost choked from laughing, but her parents were not so amused and had to pull a few favours so Ruth wouldn't get suspended.

🤔- Main Team composition?
It really depends on the game. I have my starter always of course, then the first Pokemon I catch on the first route usually stays with me the whole way through the Elite Four and the Championship (so in Crystal is was my Oddish that became a Bellossom, in Ultra Sun it was my Grubbin that became a Vikavolt, in Shield it was my Rookidee that became a Corviknight, etc). Usually I try to stick with a balanced team after that, trying to cover as many type advantages with the moves as possible. Sometimes later in the game I swap out depending on my composition/if I find a wild one or gift that would fit well (ie. if I find or am given a Lucario, they are automatically on the team xD), and if one Pokemon in particular is really lagging behind the rest I usually swap out for one of the token legendaries before the Elite Four (so for example, in Crystal, my Growlithe was hard to train so I swapped them out for Suicune, and in Shield, my gift G-max Eevee just couldn’t hold up to the others in the final battles so I swapped him out for Eternatus). Whatever my team is at the end though, I still get emotional xD

Hmm, not really xD I’ve just never thought about it. I usually always name my character after my IRL name.

1. How do they respond to having a song stuck in their head? Does that happen to them often?
It really depends on the song. If it’s one he doesn’t like, Mephi’ll get super annoyed and start grumbling about it under his breath. Otherwise, he’ll hum along without even noticing. He doesn’t get songs stuck in his head often.
10. Do they enjoy sitting on countertops?
He doesn’t have a strong preference either way, although he probably does enjoy being able to strike more dramatic poses.
25. How do they feel in large crowds?
Mephi doesn’t mind crowds too much as long as everyone isn’t focused on him. He kind of likes being able to blend into a large group.
32. How would they respond to being handed an infant?
He’d refuse to take the infant. He’d stare at both the baby and the person trying to hand them to him in shock before asking what the hell they think they’re trying to do.

Well, what ocs do you have? Are they ”fan ocs” - part of an already established canon or do they completely belong to a story of your own creation?
If your ocs were Pokémon trainers, what starters would they have?
!!!! okay so! I have a lot of OCs one from a story I’m working on and some from whatever I’m into lately. Mainly minecraft. So we have a lot of piglin, illager and a few endermen OCs. We really like piglins and illagers okay fhdjkf. Its fun to think about the socital structure of them so yeah fhjdl. Only a few solid ones.
Grim (piglin OC (they/them)) wouldn’t be a trainer bc they are a farmer and honestly wanna vibe in peace. They’d have a sableye and an oddish as partners as well as befriending and working with a lot of the local grass types. They are really chill and have chronic fatigue so they tend to stick to their farm and travelling wouldn’t be something they’d want to do bc yeah. Very sweet and chaotic person, lives with their friends (a shriek (bansee something hybrid) and a human. (they are in a poly relationship, Grims aro tho so its platonic but the other two are dating/engaged))
Dunstan (illager OC (he/them)) wouldn’t travel much either, they work with glass a lot so probably a vulpix or slugma to help in the forge (which they share with Pris). He’d probably have a vulpix with Pris having a slugma. They’d also have a rockruff and a onix, bc they live in what’s kinda a ravine village/base thing and they would def just befriend and collect any pokemon in those cave systems.
Pris (illager OC (she/them)) would have a slugma and an aron as pokemon. She also might have a few pokemon they’d befriended but she mainly spends time in their forge so not many pokemon beyond those that she works with.
I’ll briefly go over the rest of the illager gang as to not clog up the thing (not including the lesbian witch couple and their daughter or the three other poly trio illagers bc yeah fhdjfkhk I have a lot of OCs)
You have Fihr (she/her (trans gal)) who works with ravagers so would probably have Rava as a really tough, big friendly pokemon and a lot of other pokemon she manages but that’s about it. Then Olivia/Ollie/Oliver who’s a human/player (minecraft world) (genderfluid! (interested in Fihr who’s in a QPR with Pris and is oblivious to Ollie’s crush and is quietly pining (fhfhk they are bad at this, I love them))) who travels a lot and loves spiders so pretty much owns all the spider pokemon and some pokemon to pull the caravan. Gemma would have psychic pokemon to help on her magical shit (and a Zorua as her main partner (she does a lot of illusion magic))
Then you have the Into The Darkness gang but that’s a whole seven people so probably not going into them in this post. (feel free to send another ask about it if you wanna know!)

11. How expressive is their face? Are they easy to read?
niomi surana: niomi is probably the least expressive of the group, at least pre-blight. as she begins to experiences new things and grow as a person she develops a charm she didn’t quite possess while in the circle, and with that more freely expresses emotions other than annoyance & anger lmao
minnie hawke: i’d say min is the most expressive of the three here. she is also the most depressed???? go figure. she’s always joking around and laughing, she’s not afraid to look like a fool and be expressive. she’s not easy to read, though. she only lets on what she wants you to see.
honey adaar: honey is very expressive and easy to read. she wears her heart on her sleeve and prioritizes honesty about how she’s feeling. she knows there’s a time and place, though.
16. Would they ever wear perfume or cologne? When? What would the scent be?
niomi surana: she would definitely wear perfume/cologne but like. nothing too strong. it’s hard / next to impossible to attain in the circle unless you’re from a wealthy family so she only really gets her hands on it post blight. it’s not a necessity but she likes to have it to spruce up. she’d wear a scent that is light and airy, maybe like jasmine and orange blossom
minnie hawke: min would wear perfume to mask the scent of alcohol and cigarettes sndskjfnks and it would just create this weird scent that you either hate or love. it would be something woodsy and deep. on a regular day if she wanted to spruce it up she’d wear a perfume that was more natural, something that smelled like clean linen
honey adaar: she loooooves perfume, especially since josephine likes gifting the best smelling concoctions to her. it reminds her of her love when she’s out on the battlefield :’) i can picture her in something fruity and sweet
36. Do they enjoy receiving compliments? How do they respond to it?
niomi surana: ni is skeptical - she’d respond based on how well she knew the person bc she’s not sure what their intentions would be. if it was alistair when they were together she’d probably respond physically and hug or kiss him, but if it’s a stranger she’d be like “what do you want. :|” maybe not that directly, she’d probably be charming to their face but internally sus.
minnie hawke: minnie would scoff and deflect it, make it about the other person so the focus isn’t on her. she’s not super happy w/ herself so it’d be uncomfortable and she’d like, play the reverse uno card lmao
honey adaar: hon is really humble so she’d be like “ahhh pfffaaa whaaaat” but she does appreciate being given compliments and moreover LOVES to give out compliments and make people feel good.
