... okay, no, I just had two thoughts.

So even when Kenjaku possesses another body, they still hold the Cursed Technique of the previous body and carries it over to that next body. (Example, using Kaori's CT while in Suguru's body.)

Doing that... I wonder if it's possible that would mean their children could possibly inherit a CT they have or a variation of it?

Because, before knowing what was revealed, what if Yuji had been able to use Blood Manipulation because Kenjaku has the technique (from possessing Ancestor Noritoshi Kamo's body)?

Which, if that had been the case, it would have been even more fucked up he consumed 6 of his other siblings to use a technique he already has.

Leading onto my next thought!

It's messing with my head realizing that not only Yuji consumed 6 of his siblings while they were fetuses but had he not been Yuji, his body could have been taken over. Add those 6 fetuses, that would make Yuji risking being possessed and his body being taken over 7 times!

Death Paintings have to gain a body via consuming said DP. Just like how the reincarnated sorcerers take over bodies completely. Incarnated sorcerers are reincarnated through, in most cases, consuming some Cursed Object. The DPs are considered Cursed Objects, in their own class of Cursed Wombs.

Has even even been discussed how risky that was? Yuji getting his body taken over? Or because Yuji was able to control Sukuna, they figure that the DPs would be no problem?

Yuji really isn't a vessel. He really was born a cage. No one else has been able to have complete control of their own body without the incarnated sorcerer possessing it gives up that control willingly (ex: Angel and Hana - Angel lets Hana have control).

Yuji isn't just a cage for Sukuna. He's a cage for anything!! It makes sense that the DPs couldn't take control of his body because he could control Sukuna.

But they didn't know Yuji was made for that that I'm aware of!! There was a risk literally 6 times with the Death Paintings!

I was thinking about how people always say that "execution is everything" with telling a story.

And it's true

If you come at your story sly and malicious, hacking at with a butcher's knife until it's a bloody mess that you then lay proudly at the feet of your audience as the spoils of a kill, it isn't likely to be any good

The bits are mixed around, the bones shattered and fragmented. There is certainly blood everywhere, staining your clothes and dripping from your hands as you try and cajole people into stopping by and taking a look

It doesn't quite work

But, if you look at your story, and understand the grace and fluidity of its life, then you may execute it elegantly

Because it is still a death. It is still a sacrifice, to have your story out of your hands and no longer living and growing and changing according to your whims

Because, when the tree is felled and the pulp is bleached and the ink has dried and the binding set, you can't control it anymore. The story is now in the hands of your audience, and it's up to them what happens to it

A properly executed story is laid to rest in the peace of the wild, left to allow the ecosystem to explore and reclaim it as their own with moss and lichen and mushrooms and carrion eaters and leaf-litter dwellers

That is the only way a story is properly executed; dead by your hands, yes, but constantly feeding the life of others and fueling their own stories

I do think it’s possible that Daemon brought Rhaenyra to the brothel with the intent on seducing her. Who knows what his reasons were. Power probably but I don’t think that means he doesn’t care about her. It’s clear that he wanted to show her that she didn’t have to settle for anything. She could have whatever she wanted but something changed after he saw how she responded to him.

There is this moment where he stops them and they just stare at each other. You can see Daemon’s brain working overtime. Rhaenyra attempts to start things up again a few times and you can see that last time he is tempted & struggling to say no. He then leaves in a frustrated huff.

I believe in that moment he realized Rhaenyra is his equal. She is someone who seems him REALLY sees him in a way he longs to be seen and she still wants him. I don’t think he expected to be this deeply affected by her. This is why he gets drunk. I mean if the whole thing was a plan why exactly did he drink himself stupid? Something changed in that brothel and he realized he wanted Rhaenyra (and not just for her power). That’s why he said he wanted to marry her. I think if that had been the plan all along he wouldn’t have been so shaken.

Moving for school is a good thing. It just sucks that Bobby has to do it by himself.

Just as he finishes hanging up his clothes in the closet, he hears the sound of someone fumbling with the lock on the door. He turns around just as it swings open and in comes… a giant teddy bear?

The huge stuffed animal is light brown and has to be almost as tall as he is. And as Bobby attempts to process what he’s seeing, it suddenly falls toward him. He stumbles backward, trying to catch the bear before it makes him fall over.

“What the heck,” he mutters as he finally manages to right himself and push the thing to the floor. Then he spots the people.

this idea came to me randomly at 3am so it might actually suck but i am blinded by the idea of angel carlos fucking demon lando so…

essentially, carlos and lando get sent to watch over the same human on earth (probably charles), kind of like angels and devils on your shoulder but they appear as regular people, and sort of try to guide charles’ life - either towards chaos or calmness

demons and angels just… don’t mix. they don’t get along, think different things, etc

but carlos and lando are instantly taken with each other, getting along so well and joking and flirting after they get past that beginning awkwardness where they have expectations and predetermined thoughts about each other that aren’t accurate

lando makes carlos let loose and be himself in the best way and carlos makes lando a blushing mess and let’s him just relax and be loved and soft and sweet when he wants to be while still teasing and joking with each other

they are so attached, make each other so in love that charles gets sick of them

but their fellow angels and demons obviously don’t know, because they wouldn’t approve in any way…

It's always a weird feeling when you're watching something you used to love and go "I could write that better", isn't it?

It's always so tiring to have to think that about something you love. Like, I have varying levels of "this is tolerable writing and I can build on that", and that varies wildly and it does depend a bit on expectations, like "is this an extended Daft Punk album" or "is this a CW show?" And then there are shows/movies where you just... get presented with something that you just can't fucking understand. How did something so good/reasonable/okay/tolerable become something so fucking bizarre? And Star Wars is doing this to me TWICE.

I only saw the season premiere because it was all I could tolerate and when I get over the "you shouldn't have resolved this fucking shit in another show, you fucking punk Favreau I'm gonna kick your ass" instinct, I just want to. Tell these people that the ceremony in the first 10 minutes didn't need to be interrupted by a fucking armored gator. The impact of having it interrupted by Din would've been amazing. That he is the intruder, the outsider looking in, and this is how he'll be treated until he does what the Armorer says will cleanse him of his transgressions. I think that would've at least created a strong emotional beat in the first 10 minutes and be the catalyst for his short quest to reach Mandalore safely.

But like. I bet I could write it better. But why should I? I have my own stories to write that'll scratch all the itches Jon Dave Favloni won't even poke at with a stick. So I'll just keep watching from the sidelines to see if there's any way the season can climb up.

watching adaptations of books can be a very tense experience because even if they did it well, they are bound to change things because of the nature of adaptations and you're not always going to agree with what they did. the number of times I've gone "from a storytelling standpoint, I can completely understand why they changed it, I'm just not sure I agree with the changes" is crazy
