✮ DEMO (238K) ✮ FAQ ✮ PLAYLISTS ✮ PATREON
Latest update -> 12/01/2023
You're going to be a superstar, no matter what it takes.
You and your friends have been in a band since high school, when all you were was a lead singer to a band that played out of someone's garage and did occasional birthday party gigs for the neighborhood kids. after years of grinding, your band has yet to make it big, but has managed a small and dedicated cult following. All you and your bandmates want is to see your names in glittery lights, traveling the world to perform for millions of fans.
Your chance comes in Misfit Alley's Battle of the Bands. After auditioning every year with no success, your band has finally gotten the opportunity to tour across the United States and open for the biggest band in the world, performing against other bands in the hopes that you win and get signed.
As you perform, your fame rises and you can see the dream coming to fruition. But with fame comes problems of its own, some that might just ruin you and the band you swore to take to the top.
Infamous is rated 18+ for explicit language, explicit sexual themes, drug and alcohol use, violence, morally questionable behavior, and more.
✮ FEATURES ✮ CHARACTER INTROS ✮
Customize your MC (the lead singer of your band)'s appearance and personality, as well as their public image and persona. Are they loved or hated by the public? Controversial or appeasing? Humble or arrogant? Fame and money-hungry or simply there for the music?
Following that, work on your band's public image and whether they're mainstream or underground, depending on the choice of music you release and what kind of promo you do. Is your band hated by parents due to its explicit content or is your band squeaky clean, perfect for a mainstream label?
Engage in fiery romance with an array of wild characters, including some that may just get you into hot water with the rumor mill.
Create your own lyrics and decide whether you want to be a genuine artist or the face of a brand.
Get rich and famous ! Isn't that what you're here for?
✮THE BAND + ROs✮
The Band Manager: Orion/Oriana Quinn ✮ he/him or she/her, 35 ✮ [RO] -- strict and reserved, O is the antithesis of what a rockstar is. Some call their cold and uptight demeanor having 'a stick up their ass' but they call it being business focused. O is all about bringing the band to the top, which includes being professional at all times.
Special romance route: you can choose to have been chasing O for years, to no success (until now?)
The New Addition: August Pierce ✮ they/them, 26 ✮ [RO] -- With the exit of your bandmate, August has taken her place as the band's drummer. Usually shy and reserved, that all goes out the window once they start playing. You wonder if their isolation is less a personality trait and more the fact that they're in a band with longtime friends. Doesn't matter--seems like it'll take a while for you to get close to them regardless.
The Idol: Griffin/Gina 'Gigi' Reign ✮ he/him or she/her, 28 ✮ [RO] -- the spunky, charming and controversial lead singer of Misfit Alley and now your mentor, G Reign is currently the most famous person on Earth. Everyone either hates them, wants to be them, or wants to fuck them. Of course, this means a slew of trouble if one gets close to them...that is if they even allow it.
Special romance route: engage in an affair / engage in a strictly physical relationship (that can lead to a romantic one) // poly route with Victoria Valentine
The Rival: Seven Lawless ✮ he/him or she/her, 27 ✮ [RO] -- once your best friend or ex, they are now your rival and the lead singer of Soft Violence, another band competing for Battle of the Bands. They hate you. Still, the line between love and hate is a whole lot of passion.
Special romance route: can either be an ex or a former best friend, enemies to lovers.
The Girl Dad: Sebastian Holland ✮ he/him, 33 ✮ [RO] -- a normal and friendly data analyst, Sebastian isn't about the music scene....but his daughter is and she's a superfan of your band. Sebastian is your typical 'nice guy' almost too nice, sometimes, and has been dragged along by his daughter to follow the Battle of the Bands for her birthday. He's just a normal civilian. The last thing you should do is get to know him, right?
The Eye Candy: Victoria Valentine ✮ she/her, 27 ✮ [RO] -- G Reign's wife, she's an upcoming actress and model. Victoria has been G's eye candy since they came up on the scene, but you can almost sense the tension between them. And the way Victoria seeks shelter in someone else...that could be you.
Special romance route: engage in an affair // poly route with G Reign
✮BAND MEMBERS✮
Rowan Hart (he/him) -- guitarist
Iris De Luca (she/her) - keyboardist
Devyn Powell -- (they/she) bassist, background vocals
reblogs appreciated! and thank you for your interestttt

Thoughts on Chap. 3 of The Prisoner's Throne (SPOILERS)
hello readers, forgive me for the typos, there are so many things about this chapter that had me screaming. Enjoy my thoughts!!!
“I want—” he begins.
“No,” she tells him. “By the power of Grimsen’s bridle, get on your knees and be silent.”
Wren has to be one of the scariest characters ever written by holly black.
Her mouth curves into a smile, but it isn’t a nice one. “By Grimsen, I command you to do exactly as I say from here forward. You will stay on your knees until I say otherwise.”
Oak should have left when he had the chance.
Nahhh! I knew since TSH that we were gonna see Wren use the bridle on Oak, but now that i'm READING THIS it's still INSANE that she's willingly using it to CONTROLL him fully, it makes me think of Jude and Cardan, and how Jude kind of sorta had control of Cardan, but only by Pledge. Jude also had a power to command Cardan whatever she wished him to do, but she never ordered him to do something like THIS. Wren seems to have no mercy on Oak. She could legit make him kill or hurt anyone, she could make him jump off a bridge or say anything. Kind of also reminds me of when Locke ordered the ghost to betray Jude and the court of shadows, and how the Ghost had no control over his actions, and how in TQON he asked Jude to kill him because he'd rather die than be controlled by anyone. Wren did not come to play. This is so scary!!!
He finds her fascinating. He’s always found her fascinating, but he is not foolish enough to tell her that. Especially not in this moment, when he is afraid of her.
Oak is literally being controlled and is bridled and these are his thoughts…he's so downbad that it could actually get him killed.
“I am already bridled,” he says, feeling a little frantic. “You don’t need to lock me away. I can’t harm you unless you let me. I am entirely in your power. And when I did escape, I came directly to your side. Let me kneel at your feet in the throne room and gaze up adoringly at you.”
THE LAST LINE!! IM DYINGGG!! THIS MAN NEEDS TO STOPPPPPP, OH OAKKKKK YOURE SOOOOO DOWNN BADDDDD FOR WREN
“I have to occupy myself somehow,” he says. “When I am between moments of gazing adoringly, of course.”
I have no words…Not Oak trying to use his charm on her, like dude, i dont think thats gonna work.
The door opens, and Fernwaif comes in, a single guard behind her. Oak recognizes him as Bran, who occasionally sat at Madoc’s dinner table when Oak was a child. He looks horrified at the sight of the prince on his knees, wearing the livery of a guard beneath a stolen cloak.
I absolutely LOVE that we’re getting past memories of Oak when he was a child. It also helps the readers feel nostalgic from reading the folk of the air series. When Jude, Taryn, Vivi, Oak, Madoc, and Oriana lived in peace.I hope we get so many of these moments…even though i have to say this paragraph is a little sad, how Oak recognized the guard as one of his fathers friends..
“You don’t know me as well as you think, Greenbriar heir,” she says. “I remember your stories, like the one about how you used a glamour against your mortal sister and made her strike herself. How would you like to feel as she felt?”
NOT HER USING THIS AGAINST HIM!!! Love how that moment keeps being brought up. (And i predict that Oak will apologize to Jude about it in this book)
“I’ll slap myself silly willingly, if you like,” he offers. “No need for a command.”
OAK STOPPP IM DEAD
“What if, instead, I force you onto your hands and knees to make a bench for me to sit upon?” Wren inquires lightly, but her eyes are alight with fury and something else, something darker.
Wren.... I don't think that sounds like a punishment to him sweetie…
“Crawl to me.” Her eyes shine, fever bright.
GUYS ITS THE LINE!! THE LINEEE!! SHE SAYS THE LINEEE HOLY SHI-
Again, Oak’s body moves without his permission. He finds himself writhing across the floor, his stomach against the carpet. He flushes with shame.
SHES SO WRONG FOR THAT. SHE'S HUMILIATING HIMM! Not even Jude did these thing to Cardan *sobs*
When he reaches her, he stares upward, rage in his eyes. He’s humiliated, and she’s barely begun. She was right when she said he didn’t understand what it would feel like. He hadn’t counted on the embarrassment, the fury at himself for not being able to resist the magic. He hadn’t counted on the fear of what she would do next.
This is actually very sad. Wren is treating him somewhat in a way that she had been treated. She's hurt, and I guess it's very understandable, I just wish she didn't have to inflict that pain on Oak.
Oak cuts his gaze toward Bran, who has remained stiff and still, as though afraid to draw Wren’s attention. The prince wonders how far she would go if he were not present.
Two things!! Number one I literally FORGOT the guard  was still in the room and he had to WATCH oak crawl to her. Number two, That last line…..what kind of things would she has ordered Oak to do if the guard had not been in the room……(side eye)
Wren turns to him. “Perhaps I ought to have you sent to the Great Hall tomorrow and command that you endure ten strikes of an ice whip. Most barely get through five.”
Oh my god, she really is EVIL DUDE. I've never seen this kind of evil in a holly black book. Now I'm scared.
Oak looks directly into her eyes. “Why are you keeping me at all, Wren? Am I a hostage to be ransomed? A lover to be punished? A possession to be locked away?”
“That,” she says, bitterness in her voice, “is what I am trying to figure out myself.” She turns to the guards. “Take him back to his cell.”
OH IM VERY EXCITED TO SEE WHAT SHE'S PLANNING. Remember that Jude and Cardan are on their way to save Oak, if anything I believe Wren is somehow going to use Oak against elfhame. Maybe she’ll order him to hurt jude or cardan. THIS BOOK IS GOING TO END ME AGH I NEED IT NOWWW.
“Good night, Prince of Elfhame,” Wren says as he is led from the room. He manages a single glance back. Her gaze locks with his, and he can feel the frisson of something between them. Something that might well be terrible, but that he wants more of all the same.
I'm very curious to know how Oak is going to handle this mess. Like he's absolutely F*CKED. He's so down bad for Wren that he would do anything to stay by her side and protect her, YET he also wants to protect his family members who are on their way to save him and to kill wren. He cannot save BOTHHHH, meaning he will probably have to choose sides. Holly Black why are you torturing us!!!
 MARCH 5TH HURYYY UPPP!
49 more days till this book comes out. stay strong.

[Part 2 to the Next-Gen roleplay, since the first thread got too long for my Tumblr application!]
Where we left off, the children are about to sneak into the castle to try and get back Toffifee's charm. They were hoping to either find the thief Florence, where he keeps his secret stache off stolen goods, or this game's Vanellope to tell her what her son had done.
The castle is a big place, so the children had split off into teams to split up. The teams are as follows:
Team 1: Cadbury, Jolly-O, Autumn, and Kaffe from my generation; and Gabrielle, Valerie, and Eclaire from yours
Team 2: Ven, Abby, and Kentroy from your generation; and Pepo, Steep, and Tootsie from mine
Team 3: Pez, Sabrosita, Cerecita, and Oriana from my generation; and Zinnia and Toffifee from yours
There was also some leftover children who chose to stay on lookout instead: Brezziana, Telrina, and your Alucard.
Now that the teams are assembled, they are prepared to make their next move.
"Alright; Now that we are ready... 3. 2. 1...", Cadbury counted down, before he took a breath and formed his rabbit hole glitch, creating a white portal into the castle. Once he jumped through, he quickly held onto its rim. "Quickly, everyone!", He told them.
The others in his team were the first to jump through. Team 2 next. Lastly, Team 3 jumped through.
After the last team jumped into through the portal and into the castle, some of the observant kids began scanning the area, while some of my kids were whispering about this rabbit hole glitch.
"Hm...it looks like the coast is clear...I think..." Kentroy mumbled.
Gabrielle looked around and rested her hands behind her head. "Shouldn't be too much of a struggle to navigate through it." She said with a shrug.
"We'll have to be careful, though." Eclaire quietly warned.
"Oh, come on, Eclaire, we'll be fine." Gabrielle grinned.
"Easy for you to say..." Eclaire mumbled.
Abby looked behind her at the wall where the portal was. "So...now that we're inside, which team goes to where?" She asked.

HELP my line of reasoning wss just that hb writes some crazy shit in her books so cardan as a character comes as no surprise, the book I was referring to doesn't have the main girl end up with the guy Who Cheated On Her With Her Mother he's just the shitty ex bf who's there to show up for like 1 page (the girl ends up with this troll guy instead. he's like aslog basically-)
OH I SEE, I THOUGHT YOU WERE REFERRING TO HIS WHORISH WAYS I was like "I know he's intense but Oriana is 10000% safe from his charms I think" fdbjksabjkgbakj... He's a pretty standard trope, asshole who turns out to be the lead's one true love, but what surprises me abt him is that he's actually a good character who makes me root for him ahahhahahha

Now for something completely different: Delethil
[send me a character]
Definitely don't mind a challenge!
Delethil—
Favorite thing about them: As much as he drove Oriana insane between his attitude and the "Lavender" debacle, I do find him charming and funny. And he does have a good heart in him, I can't deny that.
Least favorite thing about them: Would it kill him to be at least a little respectful to his girlfriend's new buddies?
Favorite line: My memory sucks so nothing specific, but I do think about the moments where Del got to be soft with Riven or got her to laugh and it warms my ol' heart.
brOTP: I mean, who else but Eravin?
OTP: This isn't even a question. You know it's always been RIven. And yeah, a little Eravin, too.
nOTP: Del and open spaces that he can't sneak around in.
Random Headcanon: Very hard for me to pick something, but a thought I just had was that there could possibly be a moment post-campaign, when Ori is visiting Aerenth on whatever business she has, and maybe say her and Del are in a room together, maybe waiting for Riven to finish something and meet back up with them. Maybe they get to talking. Ori is trying real hard not to let it show that his light-hearted mocking still hurts a bit. And maybe he has a moment where something clicks and he has the slightest change of heart. So he comments on something just so he can say Lathander by name, or at least make a point to ask about the correct pronunciation, even if it's just for show. And maybe that would be the moment that Oriana's opinion of him starts a serious shift.
Unpopular Opinion: To be honest, I think a lot of my opinions of him are not "unpopular" amongst our group and are pretty standard. But the biggest thing is that I still think Del and Riven's decision to execute Vasion was unnecessary, but I could see that leading to a nice arc or story bit of them having to face the consequences of that with the moon elves and maturing as leaders as a result.
Song I associate with them: OK so I bit out there maybe but I'm actually going with an old Irish song: "Óró Sé do Bheatha Bhaile" specifically because it's meant as a rebel song. To give a quick synopsis, it's the rebels singing about Grainne Mhaol, or Grace O'Malley, who was a rebel leader. This version by Seo Linn feels like it has the right vibes for him.
Favorite picture of them: Unfortunately I have no sketches or saved pictures of him. Alas.

what's your favorite christine scene so far?
ohhh, excellent question. i love, love, love everything about that first scene she appears in the serene squall. the moment she realizes spock is not paying attention to what she is talking about so she starts saying insane things — razor blades for hands — and just earth to spock is such a perfect line.
the way she tries to not get herself involved and then immediately folds cause she wants to help and she can’t help but offer parts of herself to the people around her. her little expressions there. how supportive and funny she is. it is a great summary of everything i love about christine.
and the end and pay better attention to me when i’m talking because….you’re very charming and i’m completely missing it??
she is very charming!!
i also love love her fighting scene in the serene squall. i’m just a nurse *kicks everyone’s ass*
another strong contender is the scene with oriana and m’benga in the latest episode. she is excellent at her job, and such a warm person?? the way she treats her patients, her small touches and smiles, she just exudes such warmth!!!
i love her

Can we hear a little bit about the cast of the Summit please 👀👀👀
Well if that's what you want...
Tumblr media
I'll go over a couple here. And...
Tumblr media
Let's start with Joaquin Osorio then.
Joaquin Osorio, he/they, 27 (Tommy's cousin). A non-heritage, fully human Slayer. Your (MC's) partner*. Joaquin is passionately anti-supernatural. They're headstrong, passionate, impulsive, and hellbent on accomplishing his goal (protecting humanity from the threat of the supernatural by exterminating as many of them as possible).
* you get to choose what exactly that means at the start of the game (winks)
Feilan Grave-Speaker, it/they/(others). An Icelandic draugur from the 9th century (with a conspicuous immunity to silver). Feilan is literally the Speaker of the Grave, the leader of the Revenant faction (one of only two beings who represent the largest population of supernaturals on Earth). Feilan is feared by most people, like how Revenants in general are feared by most (after all, they've been known to work with Slayers). But is something intentionally hiding behind that facade, a facade that has been more or less forced upon it by the Court of Blood, a faction who despises them? Who knows? You might get to find out.
Adriana Silva, she/they. Adriana is an incredibly determined, ambitious, vivacious, and clever woman "living" in a community which is notoriously political and cutthroat. As a patasola, a kind of vampiric being from Colombia, Adriana has one prosthetic leg, fangs, and can perfectly mimic the voices of people's loved ones. She serves as your primary liaison between your employer and her boss, the Prince(ss) of the vampire court (aka, the unofficial host of the Summit). It's said by some that Adriana protects the sometimes naïve prince(ss) from the machinations of the court, but is that true (and are they possibly the one pulling all the strings)?
Cy Hassan, she/her or he/him. The Sheriff for the North American branch of the ILN. The "strong and silent type", Cy is a lycan shifter, but the identity of their shifted form is a secret they hold close to their chest. Dutiful, terse, and pessimistic, Cy isn't one who trusts people easily, but their strong morals tend to propel them to do the right thing, no matter the cost to them and their physical health.
Oriana, she/her. Classified as an "undine" or "mermaid" she is actually an alien from another world with command over the element of water and an appearance that inspired sailors of old to believe that there was a beautiful half-human, half-fish creature living beneath the waves. That's partially true, but she's actually an adorably sweet and incredibly dangerous type of being from another planet. She is a high-ranking Outsider.
Han, they/she/he (genderfluid). Han is a trickster member of the fey court (and one of the only fey friends of the Celestial). They literally live off of chaos, deception, and absurdity and, whether they wish to or not, have a habit of inducing those qualities in the world and people around them. Han is both impossible and easy to read. They just seem to want to watch the world burn. Or perhaps people/Han have just convinced themselves of that.
Elsie/Elias Milton, she/her, he/him, or they/them. Elsie is one of the apprentice mages of the new Magister. They're exceptionally bright and considered a prodigious talent in the magic community. An artificer and inventor, they create special enchanted objects for people in many factions including the glamour charms that monstrous beings can use to masquerade as human.
Pabu, she/her. A yeti and a high-ranking member of the Natural Order. A staunch adversary of climate change and a summit retreat enthusiast who adores the time spent in Antarctica perhaps more than any other guest. Pabu is incredibly kind and gregarious. She lives among humans full-time, but treasures the ability to take a break from hiding and lavish being herself, free from glamour.
Hafsah Akil, she/her. Hafsah is a sphinx advisor for the ILN and a hybrid representative. She rejects the obscure and cryptic aspects of sphinx culture, preferring instead to be extremely clear and upfront with everything she knows and thinks.
Shai, he/they. Not much is known about Shai, people tend not to ask them questions for fear of what he is. They are a totally silent being, always watching, possibly from anywhere. They are the second of the two beings who represent the Revenants.

OriRanna kiss! Maybe either "a kiss stolen away in a corner,  ignoring crowds" or "a kiss after treating a wound" but honestly dealer's choice because I can't decide if I want something dramatic/emo or fluffy and sweet.
The Gith marauders were gone, but the town was a haze of smoke and panicked faces. People shouted for healers, for water, or for each other. Oriana felt the weight of their reliance on her like a bar across the door of her own panic. She had seen worse. They were looking to her. So she did not run through the town, frantic, though her helpful orders came out too fast and her hands shook.
It wasn't until most of the fires were out that a familiar voice sang through the chaos. Oriana turned to see Ranna taking long strides toward a pile of guttering embers, along with a dozen others. Ranna held a bucket in one hand, her other arm tucked against her side. A couple rushed across Oriana's view; the group Ranna had been with sprinted by her with empty buckets. In the distance, Ranna leaned against a charred wall. Oriana ran.
Ranna spotted her an instant before she arrived, and they collided in an embrace that threw them both off balance, exhausted as they were. Ranna's smile was streaked with soot, as Oriana knew hers must be. The joy lasted until Oriana saw the bloody bandages up and down Ranna's arm.
Oriana took Ranna's hand in both of hers, carefully. "You're hurt," she managed.
"I was," Ranna corrected, quick as ever. "Some lucky pirate grazed blood, and he can brag about it in hell! It is taken care of. I swear to it. And you?"
Oriana shook her head. She couldn't look away from the bandages, trying to guess what they must cover. "I wasn't even thinking. I just ran up to you and—did I hurt you?"
"No, no."
"Ranna..."
Ranna's good hand cupped Oriana's cheek. She was smiling as brightly and boldly as if nothing were wrong. "How could you hurt me?" she asked. "Seeing you again made me invincible."
Oriana hiccupped, which was how she first realized she was near tears. "You're ridiculous," she mumbled. And then, in an even smaller voice, she said, "I couldn't find you."
Ranna's confidence wavered, and beneath it was a mirror of Oriana's vulnerable fear. "Oriana," she began.
Someone hurried past them, prompting Oriana to move closer to Ranna. Around them, the disaster was coming to a weary close. People helped each other home or held each other in the street. Oriana let go of Ranna only long enough to take the elf's face in both hands and kiss her. It was soft and careful, so she couldn't possibly hurt her again, and it lingered so that Oriana could reassure herself.
Even when they parted, Oriana pressed her forehead to Ranna's. "You scared me," she admitted.
From this angle, she couldn't see Ranna's smile, but she knew the way it stretched the longest of her facial scars. "A dishonorable way to treat such a beautiful woman," Ranna said. "I vow to spend as much time as you like making up for it." But there was no levity in the tender path of her thumb over Oriana's cheek.
Oriana summoned a smile anyway, and even meant it. "You can start by resting," she decided.
It did not take much persuasion. Neither did Ranna have to use much charm to convince Oriana to stay with her all the while.

My Past Lives:
Immediately, I must say that I believe in reincarnation. If that is not your type of topic feel free to scroll by. If it is something that tickles your fancy welcome aboard.
I believe my in previous lives I was also nonhuman in each of them. That my soul wasn't human at all. I experience mental shifts from them all as well. Not only does this qualify as a type of therian/otherkin scenario but I genuinely believe that back then what I was, had been genuinely real. So it's a mixture of being Nonhuman and therian/otherkin in a way.
How did I find all information regarding each past life? Through dreams, divination, flashbacks, and mental shifts. The divination tool used specifically was Tarot in order to get into the nitty gritty of it. So now I will list my lives with general knowledge I know with each of them.
Firstly, we have Elio. He was a vampire whose name means sun. He had money, was well liked, didn't really have a gender, and protected humans. Rather he was protective of humans. He was a kind man.
Secondly, we have Stella. An evolved siren. Like anything else in life mythical creatures evolve too. A siren that no longer had wings and was blending in with society. A siren who sang and charmed men. Men would flock and follow her. Not in total favor of people or humans. Stella translating to Star.
Thirdly, we have Oriana. A werewolf or wolf. As a wolf she had pitch black fur and golden yellow eyes. As a person she was a leader of sorts. She was strong. She lived in areas like Yellowstone National Park. She wanted to be out in nature. Her name means sunrise or dawn. She was a lone wolf meaning she kept to herself. Never wanted trouble. Had a good head on her shoulders.

This is a short ghost story that a lot of Argentinian students read during primary school (around 5th or 6th grade). Almost everyone remembers it for the rest of their life because it's actually quite spooky.
I couldn't find the English translation, so I took it upon myself to translate it. Enjoy.
Hands, by Elsa Bornemann
Lots of times (and by my own request) my unforgettable uncle Tomás told me this “horror” story some summer nights back when I was a little girl and went fishing with him.
He sworn it had happened in some small town in the Buenos Aires province. In Pergamino or Junín or Santa Lucía… I don’t remember exactly where or when the event took place and (unfortunately) he’s been gone for years now and cannot answer my questions. What I do remember is that, among all the stories my uncle used to tell me while he held the rod over the river and I lay next to him, facing the stars, this was one of my favorites.
—It gives you goose bumps and (yet) you love listening to it! Who can understand this niece of mine? — said my uncle to me—. Ah, but I don’t want to hear your mom complaining later, ok? I’ll tell the story again if you swear…
And then I sworn again that I would keep the secret, that my mom wouldn’t find out he had told me this story again, and that I’ll spend the night without calling for her when (back at home) I went to bed in the solitude of my bedroom.
I’ve always kept my promises. That’s why this story about hands (like many others I suspect where made up by my uncle, or remembered from his own childhood) was told to me once and once again.
And once and once again I told this story myself (years later) to my own “nieldren” just like (now) I’m about to tell it to you: like if you (too) were my niece or my nephew, my daughter or my son and you request me:
—C’mon auntie! C’mon mommy! A “horror” story!
So. Here it goes:
Martina, Camila and Oriana were very best friends.
Not only they went to the same school but (also) they spent time together after school. Sometimes to do their homework, and sometimes simply hang out. From fall to spring the three of them used to spend some weekends in a house Martina’s family had in the countryside.
They had so much fun! So many games outdoor, bike rides, horse rides, bonfires at dusk…
That mid winter Saturday, for example, they had fully enjoyed the day, and the cheerfulness of the girls was present, still, during dinner in the countryside house’s dining room because grandma Odila had a surprise awaiting for them:  before going to bed she was going to teach them some tap dancing moves, to the beat of some old albums she had brought for the occasion. Martina’s grandmother was adorable. She didn’t look her age. Always active, charming, in a good mood, and chatty. She had been an excellent tap dancer. The girls knew it, and so they asked her to dance with them.
—Why don’t you leave it for tomorrow afternoon? Now’s time to rest. Also, grandma has been doing stuff all day, she didn’t stop for one minute. She must be exhausted.
Mantina’s mom tried, in vain, to convince them to go to bed. The four of them and not just the girls, because the grandma was not willing to end that day without the promised dance session. That’s how, soon after and while the parents, the dogs, and the cat took seats in the living room, the grandma and the three girls got ready for a homemade function of tap dancing.
Outside the wind seemed to want to join in with its own melody: it whistled furiously in the trees. Above, high above, in the sky with the stars hidden behind big stormy clouds.
The improvised dance class lasted almost an hour. Enough time for Martina, Camila and Oriana to learn, between giggles, some tap moves, and for the grandma to end up exhausted and flustered.
Soon, all of them went to their rooms.
Around the house, the night was as dark as the high top hat they had worn for the function.
The tree girls had already gone to bed. They were in the guest bedroom, like every time they stayed at that house.
It was a big bedroom in the first floor. It had windows that looked to the backyard and that let in the moon shine (although not in nights like that one, of course, in which the darkness was a huge cloak that covered everything).
In the room there were three single beds, placed parallel to one another in a row, separated by sturdy nightstands.
Martina slept on the bed to the left, because she preferred to be by the door. Camila, on the bed to the right because she liked the place next to the window. And Oriana slept in the middle bed because she was easily scared and said that she felt protected by her friends that way.
The girls had just fallen asleep when the voice of the father woke them up suddenly. He was getting dressed (again and in a hurry) while he said to them:
—Grandma feels unwell. Nothing too serious, we think, but we’re taking her to the town’s hospital, just to be safe. We’ll be back soon. Mom says you mustn’t get up, try to sleep until we come back. See you later.
To sleep? Who can sleep after hearing such bad news? Not the girls, at least, worried about the beloved grandma’s health. And least could they sleep after they heard the sound of the father’s car leaving the house. To the uncertainty of the waiting it was added the fear to the noises of the storm that, finally, had decided to dishevel over the night.
Thunder and lightning shook the hearts.
Lightning bolts, like giant and electrified fireflies.
The wind spreading out like never before.
—I’m scared! I’m so scared! — cried Oriana suddenly.
The other two were also scared but remained quiet, swallowing their uneasiness.
Martina tried to calm down her friend (and to calm down herself, there’s no point in denying it) by turning the light on. Camila did the same.
Oriana’s bed was, then, the best lit of the three, since it was in the middle of the two lamps.
—It’s nothing. The storm makes it seem worse than what it is, that’s all— said Martina, trying to cheer up and convince herself.
—They’ll be back with grandma soon. I’m sure. —said Camila.
And so, between Oriana’s whines and the comfort words of her more courageous friends, about a quarter hour went by in every clock.
When the one in the living room, a huge grandfather clock, pointed twelve with its hollow chimes, the young ladies felt quite calmed down, even though the storm threatened to be endless.
The lights went out suddenly.
—Don’t play pranks on me! —cried Oriana—Turn on the light, you’re being mean! — and, frightened, stretch her hand over the nightstand trying to find the switch.
She only found her friends hands doing the same.
— I didn’t turn off anything, you fool! —whined Camila.
—The power must have gone out! — thought Martina out loud.
She was right. Too many electricity playing mischief in the skies and none there in the house, where it was so very needed in such moments…
Orinana burst into tears, disconsolate.
—I’m so scared! Someone has to go the kitchen for some candles! Someone has to go down and bring matches and candles! Or a flashlight!
—“Someone has to” “Someone has to” and who will be that someone? Hm? — protested Camila— Me? No way!
— Me neither! — added Martina—. Oriana thinks I’m Superkid, but I’m not. I’m also scared. What did you think? Also my mom said we must stay in bed, remember?
Oriana cried with her head under the pillow.
—Bwaaaah… What do we do? I’m terrified! Please go down and bring the candles… Be nice… Bwaaaah…
Martina felt sorry for her friend. Even though they were the same age, Oriana looked younger and behaved likewise. Martina took pity on her and acted like a big sister.
Well, well, stop crying, Ori. Relax… I thought of something so we won’t be afraid anymore, okay?
—W…what? — stuttered Oriana.
—What are we going to do? — Camila showed interest too (it was to be expected: even if she didn’t complain, she was trembling).
Martina kept on explaining;
—We get in bed under our blankets (each of us in our own bed) and then we stretch our arms out and hold hands.
They did so immediately.
Of course, Oriana felt the most comforted: being between her two friends she could feel the hand of both her friends when she stretched her arms.
—Ori, you’re so lucky, huh? —joked Camila.
—In your bed you get company from both sides…
—Yet, we…—Martina ended the thought— with only one hand…
And so, holding hands tightly, the three girls shook off most of their fears.
Soon they were all asleep.
Outside, the storm started to say goodbye.
—Thank goodness, Grandma feels well again— the mother told them the next day at dawn, as soon as she was back in the house with her husband and her mother in law, when they went to check on the girls—. It was just a scare.
Since when she came back the girls were sound asleep, the grandma herself was the one who woke them up and told them everything was in order. They were so happy!
—That’s how I like it. You’re so brave! Well done—and the grandma kissed them and promised to bring the breakfast back to bed, to pamper them a little, after the nerve-wrecking night they had passed.
—We’re not so brave, ma’am… at least not me…— whispered Oriana, a bit embarrassed for her behavior the night before—. It was your granddaughter who got us to calm down…
After that confession, the parents and the grandma wanted to know what had they done to not be too scared.
So the three friends told them:
—We got under our blackest. Like this…
—And we stretched our arms. Like this…
—And we hold hands tightly. Like this…
What they realized that very moment gave the girls goose bumps ! And the parents and the grandma too.
No matter how hard they tried, stretching their arms as much as possible, their children hands couldn’t even grace each other.
They had to move the beds on the sides more than a palm before they could barely touch their fingertips.
And yet, the three of them had really felt their hands being held, as soon as they tried Martina’s idea.
—Whose hand??? —asked them, as the adults tried to conceal their own fear.
—Whose hands??? — corrected them Oriana, making a horrified face. She had felt hands on both sides!
Hands.
Four extra hands, besides the six belonging to the girls, moving in the darkness of that night, trying to reach out for other hands, searching for some hands to hold on.
Human hands.
Spectral hands.
(Maybe, every once in a while, ghosts get afraid too… and they need us…).

i would like to see ur ocs 🤲
ok ok SO. I'll give u the basic set up b4 telling u the characters
so basically the story takes place in modern day America. Except!!! Superpowers exist, and can be unlocked by 2 things:
1. These things called "Charms"
2. A chemical (which I haven't decided the name of)
There are 2 stories that I have set in this universe, but we'll be focusing on the 2nd one bc that's the one that I have more info on.
So. The story is called "Vitals"
This company called "Crater" has basically copyrighted the use of the unnamed superpower chemical and has been kidnapping children and preteens to "transform" them into the perfect soldiers to "lead" (control) humanity.
The company basically manipulates the kids and keeps them isolated from the rest of society. It has "ranks" which are color-coded:
CEO: no color. above colors, even.
Red- 2nd highest rank. Reserved for the CEO'S daughter
Orange- most trusted + most powerful. mostly adults.
Yellow- most trusted -OR- most powerful
Green- basically just orange halved
Blue- basically just yellow halved
Purple- green halved
Black- staff/servants
White: mentors (adults who are teaching kids how to use their powers.
Got it? Ok, let's get into the characters (don't pay attention to the writing on the paper, just the character designs)
Tumblr media
This is Avila. She is level Blue, and is the main character. She begins the story completely devoted to Crater, but quickly realizes that everything is not how it seems.
Avila is 14 years old, and her power is controlling gravity. She's not the brightest, but she makes up for it in fierce loyalty and devotion to do good. She can be naive at times, though.
By the end of the story, Avila becomes much wiser and learns to be more cautious of others- not after heaps of trauma are dumped on her, of course.
Voice claim: Kristen Schaal (voice of: Mabel Pines)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Oriana. She is level Green, and is Avila's best friend (at least, at first). She begins the story devoted to Crater and her best friend, but when Avila leaves, chooses to side with Crater.
Oriana is 15 years old, and their power is teleportation. They tend to be short-sighted when making decisions, and prioritize their own feelings and success over other people.
While they begin the story being very tame morally, only trying to show loyalty to Crater (their family), Oriana is pushed to their worst and eventually takes over as the main villain. She does not get redeemed.
Voice claim: none? I haven't quite figured out how she talks, so... yeah. idk
(I'm also thinking of making her have a one-sided crush on Avila, to make her more conflicted, but idk. I don't wanna focus on romance in this)

This is Lola. She is not part of Crater. She is a journalist, and is the person to introduce Avila to the fact that Crater is Evil, Actually. She's an intern at her brothers' work, which is a small newspaper. Lola is also Avila's love interest.
Lola is 14 years old, and is an aspiring journalist. She has a pushy personality, and has difficulties empathizing with others; she's very logical, and tends not to let her feelings show around other people.
By the end of the story, Lola gains a wider outlook on life and learns that not everyone needs to see things her way.
(can you tell that I based her off of myself)
Voice claim: Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D)
Tumblr media
This is Davina (weird name, I know). She is the daughter of the CEO, and spends the first half of the story fighting alongside Crater. At some point, there's a time skip, and we come back to see Davina sided against Crater.
Davina is 16 years old, and her power is Invisibility. She's quite intelligent, and has a knack for technology, like her dad (who is powerless). She's very empathetic to others, but she can be a bit of a doormat when it comes to those she cares about.
By the end of the story, Davina has accepted her position as basically the main characters' big sister, and has come to terms with the fact that her dad is evil and her life was built on a lie :)
Voice claim: none yet
Tumblr media
This is Aster. He is my favorite. His level WAS Yellow, but he left before the story started. He left right after he got his powers, and still has some issues with controlling them. He is a part of an organization which is working against Crater, known as Jumping Point.
Aster is 12 years old, and he can control electricity. He is very powerful, but can be quite unruly when it comes to listening to authority. He's very outspoken when it comes to his opinions, which contrasts to most other people in the main cast.
By the end of the story, Aster dies :). But before then, he learns how to better cooperate with other people and overall becomes more mature.
Voice claim: Ben Schwartz (Dewey from DuckTales, Leo from ROTTMNT, and most notably Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog (2020))
Tumblr media
This is Quinn (Quincy). He WAS level Blue, before he left Crater with Aster. He has full control of his powers, and is part of a dynamic duo with Aster :)
Quinn is 13 years old, and they can control water. I'm thinking of having them be Aster's love interest, but idk. They're very monotone in the way they speak, and tend to come off as uncaring to others. They also have low empathy towards others, but they do care- a lot of the time, they just don't really see why they should until it's explained to them.
By the end of the story, Quinn stays mostly the same, except that they develop a better appreciation for life after their partner dies :(. His arc is mostly based around him learning to trust Avila, who he forms a sibling-like relationship with, then him coming to accept Aster's death.
Voice claim: None yet.
(LAST ONE GUYS I PROMISE)
Tumblr media
(yes I know this ones ugly. It was rushed, okay?)
This is Yale. They USED to be rank Purple, but they escaped with Avila. They've always been close with her, and would follow her anywhere.
Yale is 10 years old, and they can Shapeshift. They start the story with absolutely NO control over their powers, and their arc is focused on cultivating their power and learning how the world around them works.
By the end of the story, Yale becomes a young leader with control over their powers and a desire to do good. Maybe they eventually take Avila's position as leader. Who knows.
Voice claim: Terra Strong (specifically as Timmy Turner)
So yeah!!! That's the main skeleton of what I've got, feel free to ask questions!!
(note: I won't be doing anything with these guys anytime soon i.e making a comic or smth, as I am in middle school and also not that good at art)
