For better, for worse,
for richer, for poorer,
in sickness or in health,
to love and to cherish
till death do us part.
Happy Valentine's Day my dear,
I will love and care for you
until we breathe our last breath.

love ur blog!! I check it out before starting an anime/manga 💞
just wondering do u have any recommendations for complete anime/mangas?
thank u either way!!!
Completed??????
Manga:
Fullmetal Alchemist- the gold standard
Silver Spoon- by the same person who did FMA. Agricultural school stuff. Cute.
Agravity Boys- space sci-fi gag comedy, a wild ride to say the least, I miss my stupid boys
Magu-chan: God of Destruction- cute digimon/pokemon-shaped gods get woken up and mingle with a bunch of middle schoolers. Cute fluff mostly, will occasionally pull at your heartstrings (including the ending)
High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku- comedy/ slice of life, about an entire family attending high school. Has a volleyball arc that rivals the likes in haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!!-sports manga, if you want to cry over boys and their love for the game then this is for you, Boys x Volleyball is the tru otp of the show
Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku- dark historical fantasy, so very, very good. Don't get attached.
Dr. STONE- sci fi, technically the main story is complete. We still have been getting the occasional side chapter or three that continue where the main story left off tho. A very solid shonen jump series. includes one of the best shonen jump dads in the history of ever. Will make u emotional over lightbulbs and stuff. hard not to root for the main cast.
Dr. STONE Reboot: Byakuya- a non-canon little one volume spin-off about byakuya and mainly about a funky lil robot that will make you sob uncontrollably I'd personally say to read up to the end of the Treasure Island arc in the main story first before tackling this one (about ch 140ish)
Dr. STONE 4D Science- a continuation of the main story, only a couple chapters, the ending is a really cruel tease imo and if Inagaki/Boichi don't give us more may they be cursed to lose all their left shoes forever
Food Wars! Shokugeki no Sanji- spin-off of sanji side stories by the duo who did food Wars. ONE PIECE related ofc. Tasty looking food. Sanji too cool for school. One volume.
Astra Lost in Space- space sci fi survival, solid story that deserves more appreciation, the ending is just a tad lackluster in actually showing what a lot of readers would have liked to physically see. By no means ruins the story tho.
Blue Flag (Ao no Flag)- high school, romance, slice of life, boys and gals just trying to figure out life and relationships. Solid.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles- gag comedy that leans a little too much into the shonen battle-esque stuff towards the end imo, but a decently enjoyable time. A mash up of Harry Potter and other various manga like mob, opm, etc.
Mitama Security: Spirit Busters- comedy, axed but I enjoyed it. Goofy fun. nothing spectacular but reading it won't hurt anyone.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes- spin-off of mha obviously, average joe Koichi >>> deku FIGHT ME, the goodest of boys, world building u don't get in the main series, Aizawa's backstory, Knuckleduster is the man the myth the legend.
Chihayafuru- screaming crying throwing up, it's niche it's technically a sports manga, romance, female MC, growth™, love triangle but at the end of the day that's not what's important
My Love Mix-Up!- comedy romance, big big mix-up on who loves who and lots of shenanigans ensue.
Noragami- TECHNICALLY not complete until like 2 days from now when the final chapter releases. my emotions! MY EMOTIONS!!!! 😭
Gintama- comedy/gag with dashes of really good drama
I have no idea what your tastes are, anon, so here's a mix that I've personally enjoyed. Some of them were axed, but technically that makes them complete so I included them :P yes I cheated.
Anime:
There's a lot less of them bc I haven't actually watched a lot of completed series.
Run with the Wind- more boys x sports but this time it's about running. Also the boys are in college. Will trick u into wanting to run.
91 days- ol timey story about VENGEANCE. Set during the prohibition.
Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann- makes you emotional and feel all fuzzy inside, sci fi, mecha
Cowboy Bebop- a classic
Samurai Champloo- also a classic and I actually prefer this one over cowboy bebop tbh, god tier baseball episode
Astra Lost in Space-the anime version, if you'd prefer watching over reading, but I always prefer manga > anime just cause.
FMA 03/FMA BROTHERHOOD- the gold standard. I appreciate both versions. 03 goes the anime original ending root bc obviously the manga wasn't completed yet no biggie.
Mob Psycho 100- MOB!MOB!MOB! and tumblr sexy man reigen arataka
Gintama- animated version alternative lol. The voice actors bring the characters to life.
Obv there are the old school classics like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gundam and all that jazz if you haven't already checked out some of those. Oldies but goodies.

When you say "see where everyone stands", I feel like there's a shipping element there. But who are you talking about?
Maybe I should have been clearer when I answered that ask, but no -- it's not like Dethkomic 2 won't have any elements of romance at all. Far from it, actually! When it comes to all that, and without giving everything away (which is completely impossible without reading the thing at this point) you'll have your heartstrings pulled from a lot of different sides on this one... and for a lot of different reasons.
As for where I personally stand as it pertains to OTPs and pairings and stuff... I do have my favorites. You guys will know when the author is serving herself fanservice. It's not subtle.
If you squint you may have even spotted my personal favorite on the horizon.

Narvin and Leela
Narvin Leela and Romana
Doctor and Romama
Sophie and Humphrey
narvin/leela: this is one of those pairings that objectively makes perfect sense, but i nonetheless find deadly dull. i'm just not into narvin enough to really like it.
narvin/leela/romana: the same as above, except it compels me even less, because no matter what i do, i cannot get into narvin/romana ii. weirdly, though, if you threw romana iii in there, i'd love it.
doctor/romana: otp! i feel like it's a rarepair in some respects, which is ironic considering, but i love it. they just work on so many levels. romana truly is the doctor's equal, unlike some blondes who went to other universes i could name. catty four/romana arseholes to lovers is perfect. soft post-etra prime six/romana warms my heart. tense and distant and stressed as all hell eight/romana tugs at my heartstrings. it's such a fascinating and dynamic and complex relationship of two broken mirrors of people reflecting each other - because, more than just being the doctor's equal, romana is a doctor figure in her own right. hence gallifrey, where it goes from "everyone is obsessed with the doctor" to "everyone is obsessed with romana."
sophie/humphrey: i can't remember when i started liking this, but part of it is definitely that, within the bone plot, there are evidently small flashes of affection between the two of them. it's in the "he is a good man" and everything about "moi... joyeuse" and humphrey's soft smile 🥺. and the kiss at the end... they're both starved for affection but too distant from each other to quite given and yet they still desperately want to save each other. that kiss is so tense - humphrey looks almost scared, and yet he leans into it - and then it's all gone. and the thing is, if they hadn't been forced together, i think they probably could've loved each other just fine. which brings me to a complaint: i don't get why, in so many modern aus, humphrey and sophie are divorced. if they weren't forced together, then they must have chosen to marry, so... why would they not like each other? i've seen it pulled off with explanation, but most of the time it just comes off as a lack of thought about their relationship. which isn't surprising, seeing as humphrey isn't a particularly major character in ghosts, but still. anyway, i've started writing another modern au with these two. i am obsessed. help.

𝒪𝓃 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐼𝒸𝑒 -- Silco Fluff Short
Silco x Reader Pairing for the Year Of The OTP Event January Prompt “Snow”
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences || WC: 1015 Content Warnings: A little bit of flirting, a single ass slap 😳
Context: The River Pilt is frozen over and thus, much of topside is going out to skate. After a little bit of prying and using his beloved daughter as leverage, Celeste manages to convince Silco to take her and Jinx out skating. Will she get him on the ice?
@yearoftheotpevent
Cover made with Canva.
Tumblr media
“Absolutely not!”
Silco was annoyed. Very annoyed. Blowing cigar smoke out of his nostrils he looked like a dragon ready to claw someone’s eyes out. Celeste wouldn’t be surprised if he committed to the idea.
“Oh come on,” she groaned, her head falling forward in exhaustion. “You know Jinx would love it…”
A small twitch in his lips.
Getting somewhere…
“She’ll love the view and it will be nothing but an incredible experience for her,” Celeste hummed, giving her lover a knowing look. Silco avoided her gaze, turning to look out the green-tinted window, not a single breath of noise leaving him as he watched snow fall beyond the stained glass. Celeste followed, slowly approaching and wrapping her arms around Silco’s small waist, resting her cheek against his back and listening to his heartbeat.
“Ice skating is not exactly my preferred environment,” Silco grumbled, obvious tension escaping his shoulders like a breath someone held for too long. “Why don’t you tote her over to the river?” he asked, taking a slow drag of his cigar and breathing the smoke out into a thoughtful, gray haze above him.
“It would mean more to Jinx if you took her yourself,” Celeste said calmly, drawing shapes into Silco’s vest, pressing enough for him to feel it but not too much to ruin the slight tickle in her touch. “You and I both know that.” She looked up at him, an automatic attempt to look for emotion on his usually static face, internally aware that she wouldn’t be able to see anything if he was looking forward.
Silco turned his head, glancing at Celeste from the corner of his eye, lips pressed into a thin line. His eyes shifted back to the window and his head followed as he took a conclusive inhale of his cigar before gently prying Celeste’s arms off him to stamp out the tobacco into the decorated ashtray on his desk. His fingers lingered in their pressured hold on the cigar, the pink and blue paint strokes on the ashtray catching his heartstrings and giving them a final tug.
Silco sighed in defeat, his lips curved into a disapproving scowl and could only Celeste smile, hiding the grin behind her hand whilst it only widened at the thought of Jinx and her long limbs - that she never seemed to know exactly what to do with - trying to find her bearings on the ice. She’d stumble and her legs would split away from each other, giving the appearance of a newborn animal trying to walk.
“Get your boots and put on a jacket,” Silco said, taking long strides to his coat rack, donning the heavy, gold-tipped article and patting down his sleeves and waist. Making sure he has his knives, Celeste thought, almost chuckling out loud at the comically characteristic action.
“I’ll get Jinx,” he hummed, settling the restless collar of his coat with nimble fingers, calm, heterochromatic eyes meeting Celeste’s in an endearing stare.
“Okay,” she whispered, holding Silco’s face and bringing him down for a kiss. The kingpin smiled against her lips, an arm snaking around her waist and pulling her close. Undetected by Celeste, Silco managed a hand to her lower back, reaching for her ass and slapping it. She yelped and jumped forward, giving Silco a discontented glare but unable to hide her growing smile.
“I expect a follow-up on that after this outing!” she declared, grinning cheekily as she slipped out of Silco’s hold to get her boots from their shared quarters.
“You’re going to put me on the spot prompting Jinx with this outing of yours,” Silco called from the other room, his restless tapping on the floor audible even at such a distance. Celeste smiled, rummaging through the walk-in closet for her boots and having difficulty finding them. Silco rarely had her outside during winter if he could help it, at least not long enough to warrant boots.
“You’ll be fine,” Celeste grunted, dragging a large box out of the closet to search through it, fumbling blindly for a recognizable boot texture. Her hands grasped until she struck a familiar suede fabric, dragging the boots out from the box and grinning triumphantly as spare articles of clothing were strewn about upon their surfacing. She kicked off her “house” shoes and grabbed the snow boots, tugging them on before haphazardly shoving clothes back into the box and the box back into the closet.
Celeste emerged from the bedroom to see Silco standing at the door, still impatiently tapping his foot. She grabbed her coat off the coat rack, shrugged it on, and stopped at the door in front of Silco. He looked down at her, fingers lingering on the gilded handle and the golden band on his finger matching the tint of the metal.
“If you think getting put on the spot is bad just you wait,” Celeste hummed, taking Silco’s other hand in both of hers, her eyebrow raised for comedic effect. “Because I’m about to put you on the ice.”
The drop in Silco’s face was incredibly obvious and he rolled his eyes, pushing through the door and leaving Celeste in his office, utterly unamused by her joke.
Celeste on the other hand couldn’t help but laugh. Her husband’s deep frown at the - in Celeste’s humble opinion - clever wordplay easily being the greatest sight of the day, soon to take second place to his ice skating abilities.
“Perhaps I should hire you for comedy shows in the bar,” Silco called from down the hall, the wry remark bringing about a grimace from Celeste and she hurried to lock the office door and catch up to the kingpin.
“I think that would run you out of a business.”
“I am inclined to agree.”
Silco’s heels clicked against the hardwood floor as he crossed the empty hallway and stopped in front of the stairs.
“Call for a carriage and I’ll gather Jinx,” he said, taking Celeste’s hand and kissing her knuckles tenderly.
“If you can muster it on the ride to the river, refrain from more of your terrible jokes.”

G, O, and S?
G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it
I do, in fact! Regis and Danilo from the Darkover books (Heritage of Hastur, I think? It's been a long, long time since I reread any Darkover), who were overtly attracted to each other and had so much tension and everything. I think it was the first time I'd seen non-hetero desire written that explicitly, and tbh I originally read it too young to understand a lot of the explicit bits of it, but I knew that they were pining and the angst tore at my tiny prepubescent heartstrings and I was infuriated when that book ended as it does.
(It is the Darkover book I reread most recently, which was still 7-10 years ago, because I answered a question like this on a similar meme and the two of them sprang into my head. And I recall from the reread that the Regis/Danilo sections read like angsty M/M fanfiction, from the evil rapist character going after the delicate psychic woobie to the incredibly charged fever-and-delirium scene in the... cave? abandoned cabin? wherever it was. And then the ending, while fitting very much with the rest of Darkover overall and being realistic for the setting, feels almost like a betrayal of that vibe. Like! Fits the society! Is very much both of them having to move on from their intense angsty teenage feelings to become adults in a psuedo-feudal social structure! But if it had been the fanfic it felt like then Danilo would've gotten over his religious reservations and not been adopted by his rapist (as an apology because it meant that he would inherit the guy's shit, but... was always skeevy, and knowing what we know now about MZB does now feel, like, extra skeevy) and he and Regis would've actually gotten together, and even if the actual ending was more series-appropriate the part of me that fell in love with them still really wants that. Goddamnit I still have so many fucking feelings about this.)
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of
Okay, shuffle pulled up Bravado, by Rush, and since my head is full of Genshin these days, my very first thought is of the Nameless Bard (and the rest of the fighters in that group).
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)
Trying to think of a headcanon that I haven't already put over on the Genshin blog. XD;; I don't know how explicit I've ever been about the Fredrica-Seamus-Crepus triangle that I think of as backstory to the Kaeya-Diluc-Jean triad? But I've ended up with a very solid headcanon, as in I don't think I've written anything where it isn't the background I'm automatically using, that Seamus and Crepus were friends because Crepus was, at the time, head of the Wine Guild, and as Seneschal Seamus dealt with him a lot; to Fredrica he was just Seamus' friend, not anyone particularly important and tbh a bit annoying in his focus on failing to be/wanting Diluc to be a Knight. And then Seamus and Fredrica broke up, for whatever reason I give them in that particular timeline (that's more flexible), and Crepus, seeing Fredrica likely to get both girls, promptly swung into action and pulled on all the strings he had available to arrange for the current split-custody arrangement. And that's why in all my fics Fredrica hates him and Diluc. :>`

[re: cheer up]
It was hard for me to interpret something, I was busy with stressing. I get nervous with the thought of her still being in dilemma. I'm so bored because of this dragging in romance side of this drama.
I also had a hard time figuring the meaning of her expression while Sunho was confessing his feelings in the festival. [If you want, I'd like hear your thoughts about that scene in general, too!!] I guess it pulled at her heartstrings and that's why she became unsure about whom to choose when she received one kiss and one confession in Busan.
My guess about the main reason of that sad expression while hugging was that she felt uneasy rejecting him since she listened to his past and saw him crying. HOPE THERE IS NOTHING MORE. Let's end this triangle in one way or another.
As I told you before, I was fine with no romance at all since her relationship with Jung Woo was already very interesting as it is. Then, this love triangle came and never left till ep11. Due to that, there was a significant decrease in their moments and conversations. (For a while, In Hyuk was just a cameo...)
It exhausted me. I want it to end real quick.😅😅 And I can't wait to see them talk again without being interrupted by Sunho.
frienddd, you know I feel you and I get you. Generally, I don't really lean towards love triangles, I just want to peacefully ship my otp y'know xD
That part where haeyi was torn, i just thought that she wavered because she was dejected by the rejections she keeps getting from jungwoo and she probably thought it's time for her to move on since she thought jungwoo really had no feelings for her. And at that moment, after a great performance and her adrenaline high, sunho confessed again, more seriously this time, and I guess she was contemplating if she should accept the person who is in love her and putting herself in sunho's shoes as someone with unrequited love. Tbh, i dont blame her for wavering at that point, because she's probably exhausted trying too hard with the emotional rollercoaster of liking someone.
I have to agree tho, inhyuk's part was significantly decreased, and you're wondering why we get less scenes of the main lead lol but I'm sure with ep 12 onwards we'll see it more focused. I enjoy them being cuties and chaotic, but i've been fastforwarding the past few eps to see more important plot cuts haha.

I started collecting/reading Undead Unluck since April? And I'm enjoying it a little too much. I saw the recommendation in my feed (thanks to one of my fave fanartists of another series' OTP) and somehow, SOMEHOW I felt that I could definitely enjoy the series.
..And I could have started reading it three (?) years ago, if I was more clever, but Korean webtoons got me harder :'D.
So, I'm just at volume 5? Around the time we meet Anno Un, and we are seeing particles of Andy's past, and Fuuko is falling HARDER for him and... AHHHHHH.
TBH, Andy's character design kinda seemed... weird to me? (and it kinda got worse because Victor/Victhor kinda looks like SSJ3 Goku and that's a difficult dissasociation I cannot perform well; though maybe? it might have been the main design influence in his design), but I have been mellowing ever since because... the author DOES draw him attractive (mellowing to buff/muscley guys... what can I say) and the size difference between him and Fuuko is just *chef's kiss*. I dunno, this series has pulled heartstrings on me, being the romantic idiot that I am.
There's stuff that is also quite subtle, maybe? That suggests some further deep meaning (there's a bit where Shen looks disappointed? after the whole language unification thing; the way Juiz seems to feel about Victor) and other stuff that I cannot avoid and say "wow, look how Fuuko is all excited to enter this high school building1" until I realize that the girl has been a shut-in a great part of her life due to her Unluck ability.
I just can't with this series. I do know some spoilers without much context? (I KNOW it is available on Mangaplus... but I'm "OTL" in having to download the app on my phone because it's not fully available in the desktop website...). But all in all... wow. I haven't been soooo into a Weekly Jump series in YEARS (last being, I think? Assassination Classroom, since 2015 until I finally collected it full, this also a few years after Gintama's ending?), and it's mostly because of the chemistry of the characters (the rest of Union are loveable too, although I'm still in the point where everyone is starting to have some spotlight - I love Tatiana, Shen, Nico, even Gena...)
Maybe this is the series that motivates me in making me draw more buff male bodies :')

I saw Eternals and... WOW! I LOVE IT!!!
This is a spoiler-free review but first, how the hell was I able to watch it? Well...
Tumblr media
Yes, it's out there.
Why did I watch it when it's gonna be released this Friday? Because theaters are still closed in my country and I can't wait to watch it. BUT, even if I've already seen it, I will still watch it in the theaters with my bro as it became our tradition to watch Marvel movies in the theaters together. So, on to the review.
I've seen some of the negative reviews from the press screening and now that I've seen the movie, I don't get what they're talking about. Critics kept saying it was dense when it's not (imo). Especially if you're the type that loves mythology or world-building, you'll like this movie as I do. It's pretty easy to understand. Although, I do know the background of the Eternals since I read the Neil Gaiman comics so maybe that helped but I imagine, it really isn't that complicated.
If you're not familiar with the comics, it's basically Ancient Aliens. Of course there's more to it than that but it's a spoiler.
Some complained that they never felt an emotional connection towards the characters so the movie was boring to them. I get it, I know that feeling but towards a different movie: the recent Suicide Squad. Yes, I didn't like that movie, it was boring. I'm sorry. I only felt for Harley and the scenes I loved in that movie were those with her.
Eternals never felt boring to me because, although there were many characters introduced, I felt for them. I connected. I felt the triumphs, the disappointments, the conflict, the hate, the love, the joy and the wonder. I felt for each of the characters so I get why they do what they do and the reason for their decision in the end. For example, there's a reason why Kingo decided to become an actor and it pulled my heartstrings. The bond between Gilgamesh and Thena, yes! This movie made me cry!
Some might say I connected because I read the comics but no, it's not that. The comics is a different universe. The MCU have every right to be different from the comics because it's a separate universe. So any characterization from the comics may not carry over the film. Hell, Druig surprised me so there's that.
Now, who's my favorite character? It's hard to pick just one because I like all of them. Some I love to hate because of their decision in the end but I get why they did that. I may not agree with their point of view, but I get it. I love Gilgamesh and Thena. I also love Makkari and Druig. They're my otp now. Drakkari forever! Sprite is the Claudia (Interview with the Vampire) of the group so, yes!
But I say my favorite is Phastos. (minor spoilers) When he kissed his husband goodbye I'm like, yes! Then I anxiously watched because I have a need for him to stay alive! I need him to return home safe and be with his family! When he said, "I wouldn't change a single thing about who I am!" I felt that. And in the final battle (because of course this is still a Marvel movie), he fought with technology. Those who follow me here knows I love Tony Stark so yes, give me a hero that fights not with brawns but with brains.
Oh btw, there is a sex scene but it's nothing to huff and puff about. Definitely not something that will make you clutch your pearls or something. I was looking forward to that because I've read people didn't like it if there's a sex scene in their Marvel movie and I'm like
Tumblr media
It's not explicit. I'm like, "That's it?" Seriously, some people just nitpick to hate on this movie. There's a sex scene, get over it! Phastos is gay, get over it. The cast is diverse, get over it! Thena has mental health issues, get over it!
Is there something that I don't like in this movie? I kept rewinding the movie in my head to think of one that broke me out of the immersion but there's nothing. Maybe I want it to be longer because I want to stay in it's world, to learn more and to see more. There's nothing that destroyed my enjoyment of the movie.
Do I recommend the movie? Definitely! Don't listen to the critics (even me). Make your own opinion.

How about some cooking asks for The Curator and/or Heartman?
Simmer, Baste and Roast, if you please☆
@ss-slep Thank you for your gracious ask.
Tumblr media
Yes, we both appreciate it! Thank you, also Happy Thanksgiving!
Tumblr media
Simmer - Is your f/o a coffee or a tea person?
Vitae prefers black and herbal teas over coffee. I don't think I have ever seen them consume it.
Tether loves tea as well, but I have seen them drink coffee from time to time. Especially if they're working on a project for Deadman.
Baste - Does your f/o like sweets?
They adore sweet things. Cakes, pastries, candies, all of them.
Tether loves dark chocolate and sweets that aren't too over baringly sweet.
Roast - How spicy can your f/o handle their food?
I have seen Vitae consume peppers so high on the scale and not flinch. So I would assume to say they can handle any spice you throw at them.
Tether loves eating spicy food. Personally, it is too much for my pallet. But they will usually order the highest spice level to foods if it's available. They'll be tearing up and sweating but enjoying it just the same.

Are you still doing the character breakdowns? Part of me wants to ask you to do character breakdowns of Elli between 64 and Mineral Town, but I feel like there's more to be said about Harris, one of my faves in 64 who was then given pretty short shift in BTO/FOMT.
I am still doing character breakdowns! I’ve just slowed down a bit lately due to some projects I’ve been juggling, but I’m always happy to talk about the different characters from the games we love!
I haven’t done a breakdown of Elli or Harris yet, but I will happily do both! I will break it into two segments, and since you are eager to hear my thoughts on a less-featured character like Harris, I’d love to dive into a breakdown of him first!
I did write up some of my opinions in the past, on this post. My feelings for him have remained the same in some ways and changed in others. Let’s get down to it, shall we?
Character Breakdown Ask Game - Still Accepting! ;)
How I feel about this character:
I honestly didn’t have much of a strong opinion about Harris at first glance. But the more I’ve played the games, especially since I played FoMT before HM64, the more frustrated I feel that he was demoted from marriable status. He had such a warm and welcoming personality, but also a shy side that was really endearing. We never got a chance to woo him, and I feel like he would have made a great addition to the cast of marriage candidates.
As a mail carrier, I feel like a lot of potential for events was wasted, but I’ll get more into that later.
Overall, I agree with you, anon. Harris really did deserve better than the games gave him, and I feel like he’s a severely underrated character.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Harris x Maria/Mary - Absolutely adorable! I love how both of them are sensitive and a little shy. Watching Harris gain courage to tell Maria how he feels was super satisfying in HM64, and their relationship is so wholesome and sweet.
Harris x Farmer - Secret marriage candidate, please? I blame @emeraldhaze15 for this one, haha. Seriously, read Wildflower for some great characterization of Harris! (Warning, there are some darker elements to this story, so be sure to check the tags.) It’s so rare to see writers include him, let alone do it so well. <3
Harris x Ann - Harris spends a lot of time at the inn, and I like to think that Ann serves him coffee regularly as a pick-me-up. I could see the two of them getting into talking about the goings on in town and developing feelings for one another (with an enthralled Doug watching in the background, of course).
Harris x Jennifer - I really thought the event between the two of these characters was really cute in the remake. Jennifer seems really concerned about Harris’s luck in love, and she even gives him a token to boost his luck. It would be cute if he ended up asking her more about the stone and got interested in her metaphysical practices, all the while helping her open up a little more to people.
Harris x Aja - I am such a sucker for pining, and the Harris x Aja events pull at my heartstrings a bit. Harris has harbored feelings for her after all of these years and has been too shy to act on it. I feel like Aja left a big impression on Harris and she’ll always be in his heart in a way. <3
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Harris/Thomas - I like to wonder what kind of father/son relationship they have with one another. They don’t seem to talk much about each other, and they both seem busy with their own duties.
Harris/Doug - I feel like these two would be great friends, as Harris stops by the inn quite a bit in the afternoons. I can see them becoming very close throughout the years, and Doug might even not-so-subtly mention how Ann’s doing.
Harris/Gotz - Their friendship feels so unlikely to me, but these opposites attract. It really speaks to the kindness Harris has in his heart that he takes time to check in on Gotz, who has lost his family. The two of them are good friends, and Gotz patrols the mountain for him. I could see the two of them going fishing on days off together, and maybe even Gotz telling him stories about Thomas that Harris never knew about.
My unpopular opinion about this character
I like Harris’s nose. It gives him character, but I wish they would’ve made his design a little more similar to the other characters in FoMT. I’m not wild about his redesign - especially as they made him look quite a bit older than I envision him. I do get that they probably wanted to make him look more like Thomas’s son, though.
I don’t like Harris’s change from postman to police officer. His personality is much better suited to the previous job, and I feel like his job change didn’t really affect any of his dialogue, or at least not much. He talks about how peaceful the town is and how it doesn’t even need an officer. It kinda makes me feel like he just meanders around town all day. I guess he’s making his rounds, but it doesn’t seem like anyone ever needs his services.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
Obviously, I wish that Harris had remained a marriage candidate. I like that Rick was made into one, but I want both. I like to think about what his heart events would be like. It would be super cute if he delivered a love letter to you. <3
I wish Harris had remained a mail carrier, and it would be really cool if he delivered letters from time to time in special events - A letter to Duke and Manna from Aja, A letter to Lillia from Rod. I know that Rod’s letter shows up, but it would be interesting to see him deliver it and see his reaction to Lillia receiving a letter from her husband. How does he feel about Rod leaving the family? There’s so much that could be explored!
I’ll answer the ask for Elli in a separate post. Thank you for the ask! I love talking about the characters from this series, especially the ones that aren’t featured as much! I hope you have a great day! ^-^

Happy TTS finale anniversary! Of the main 3 (and only 3 I think, I’d be happy to be wrong) times we’ve heard I See the Light music in the movie and show, which time was your favorite? The original seems the obvious choice, but the other 2 times are Eugene’s resurrection and the final proposal which are pretty big contenders. Musically I think the full song is better since it’s longer, but I think the finale wins it for me as being the end of the series and throwing onions in my face
Do you know what the epilogue of the finale did for me? It made me walk away from the series filled to the brim with good feelings, temporarily forgetting that there was anything at all about the finale that I didn't like, even though there's a lot about the finale that I don't like. But that engagement was the absolutely perfect way to end the series. I remember, as the journal was closing, I started getting mad, yelling at my screen, "No! No no wait! Where's the engagement?!" And then the epilogue began. It was a long time before I could watch the engagement clip without crying.
Honestly, I don't think I could compare those three scenes. The actual song is so iconic that people put their OTPs in that scene on the regular. The resurrection is just... it's so New Dream. It's the reason why they're a couple. And the use of "I See the Light" in the finale wouldn't be nearly so impactful if it didn't already exist. It was deliberately pulling our heartstrings with that callback motif.
If you want to hear the score piece without the dialogue, it's the one titled "Happily Ever After". (They're listed in alphabetical order.)

Here's a difficult one: Kuon
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME...
favorite thing about them
I love just how absolutely bizarre she is, and how the survivors understandably react oddly to her mannerisms - while nobody else questions the utterly weird shit she does (except Aiko, but even she's more exasperated than anything else). For example, Kuon cares a lot about her student (Satoshi) so she invites herself over to his house and turns it into an onsen with his mother's permission. Naomi and Satoshi are completely clueless and wondering what the fuck is going on, while his family is completely fine with what's going on here.
She also specifically asked her bodyguards/secret agent employees/whatever the hell they are to bring her katsudon on the roof of a school with a helicopter. She exists on a totally different plane of existence and had I not known better I would've wanted her to be my glucose guardian.
Kuon is a comedy of errors and insanity.
least favorite thing about them
As you all probably already know, I'm not exactly a fan of Kuon for multiple reasons. There's so many things wrong with her as a character, that in order to list them all off I'd have to end up making a whole ass google doc.
My biggest problem with Kuon is that ultimately, she's pretty much a unnecessary character whose only real function in the plot was to serve as a creepier version of Yui with magic powers and prevent Satoshi and Naomi from meeting up with Yoshiki and Ayumi. Blood Drive introduced too many new major characters and too many wild plot points that her own subplot, which would've been a lot more interesting in different circumstances, was easily buried underneath everything else.
I still would've enjoyed her far more if they hadn't included predatory undertones in her character, and instead focused on something else (maybe a want for family, since it's established that Aiko despises her and their parents have been on vacation for possibly years) + addressed the fatal flaw in her character that she's an extremely controlling person.
favorite line
"I wonder if you'll find another teacher in my place once you return to the real world. I'll be kind of jealous, but... do say hi for me, to the me who isn't me... won't you?"
Listen, no matter how much I dislike Kuon or find her creepy, this line in particular pulls at my heartstrings a bit.
brOTP
Aiko & Kuon because nothing is funnier than a sibling rivalry where one of them is completely unaware that there's a competition in the first place. Also, I would like to think that were Kuon a better written character, she'd eventually come to realize that no, her sister isn't just being a teenager and acting out hormonal feelings and whatnot - Aiko actually fucking despises her. I want to see Kuon struggle and desperately try to fix their relationship while trying to figure out how it became damaged in the first place, but failing epically because she's just that bad at understanding how her actions can affect other people.
OTP
I jokingly ship her with Satoshi's mom because personally, I think that's the better alternative to whatever the hell is going on in canon. The sheer amount of comedy that comes from Kuon making herself part of this already sort of nuts family, where Miho and Yuka would definitely enable some of her insanity, is unrivaled. Satoshi is traumatized.
nOTP
Kuon/Satoshi. There is nothing more to be said.
random headcanon
Corpse Party canonically takes place in 2008, and she's an English teacher whose assumed to have done some traveling prior to becoming a teacher due to her status as a CEO. She definitely picked up on some cringe worthy fads and tries to use them to feel closer to her students/younger, which just further establishes her as that one really weird but well meaning teacher and makes people assume that she's older than she is.
unpopular opinion
As unnecessary as I think she was, there was still multiple directions they could've taken with her character that would've made her better established and far more interesting. One such direction they could've taken, was that they could have made her a much more antagonistic foil to Miss Yui - where while her cheerful personality is definitely genuine, there's something pretty twisted there as well. Which results in both Naomi and Satoshi regretting that they'd assumed the best of her due to the fact that she's seemingly so similar to Yui.
I'm not sure how that would play out, but I'd find that perspective much more intriguing than brushing off her weird crush on Satoshi as harmless and her role in the plot basically just being Yui 2.0
TBH I flicker a lot between "she'd make a good minor antagonist had they done that instead" or "they should've taken her flaws a lot more seriously and also gotten rid of that weird romance subplot".
song I associate with them
I hope you know I searched for hours and couldn't find a single song that fit this crazy woman

multiples of 10 for sadie/faith! xo
Thank you so much for all of these great questions, Ash 😘 Love any opportunity to talk about these ladies.
Tumblr media
10) How do they resolve their arguments?
I like to think they’re both surprisingly mature about arguments and would actually resolve them through talking it out. Or at least Sadie would sit Faith down and make them hash it out like adults.
20) Do they give each other nicknames?
Sadie is not big on nicknames, BUT she allows Faith to call her “my angel”. Though, she may call Faith “sweetheart” or “dear” every now and then, she doesn’t have anything uniquely personal for her.
30) Do they attend any clubs or formal parties together?
Maybe in an AU! But I haven’t actually thought about what they would be like in a no cult AU. Oops 🙃
40) Thoughts on kids?
They would love them if they weren’t in an all out war! Though, I kinda like to imagine them adopting a kid (twins?) that have been orphaned by the reaping. Sadie’s mom died during it too, so I can see that pulling at her heartstrings.
50) Who makes the best flower crown?
Faith, of course!
60) Who will punch someone out if they are rude to their partner?
No doubt it’s Sadie. And she definitely has to hit a couple randos in the county when they try to talk shit about their relationship. Though, let’s be real, Faith isn’t totally helpless and could/would definitely punch someone in Sadie’s honor if what they said was really bad.
70) Who is the hopeless romantic?
Faith. Sadie is romantic, but she’s not a hopeless romantic. She doesn’t believe in soulmates or fate or anything like that, but I can definitely see Faith being into that.
80) What do they love about each other the most?
Faith loves how strong Sadie is mentally. She’s able to withstand a lot of the shit her family throws at her and barely has a breakdown. She also adores how loving she can be when she really cares about someone. Sadie loves how soft Faith is underneath the bliss and the walls she’s put up to become a Seed. With Sadie Faith is more like Rachel than she is around anyone else.
90) Who is the one that would bring the puppy home?
I can see them both doing this, to be honest, but Faith is the one that would most definitely do it. Luckily for the both of them, they have a partner who is an animal lover and would be thrilled by the arrival of a new family member.
