Raffle: Rare Chthonic Devotional Beads (CLOSED)

This raffle is for a handmade set of unique Devotional Beads made with rare chthonic materials.

It was constructed using beads carved from 19th century tombstone marble, jet beads from a 1920's mourning necklace, counter-beads made from human corpse teeth, a cave-found hagstone focal pendant, and a Victorian coffin nail end-piece. The resultant implement was then consecrated within the bounds of a Graveyard.

While the retail price for this item is $275, I am taking the risk of setting up this raffle, in hopes that it might aid me in raising enough money to help us afford palliative care for our terminally ill dogs—particularly when it comes to funding an operation needed by the sicker of the two.

Tickets are $5 a piece, and each assigned a number. To purchase a ticket, simply use the link below and follow the provided instructions. You will be asked to make an account and fill in your payment details, which will allow the raffle to email you your entry information, as well as automatically notifying the winner when the time comes. Participants are more than welcome to deactivate their accounts following the raffle. A random number generator will be used after one week's time in order to determine which ticket number is the winner.

Crafted with beads of olive wood, with counter beads of cow bone and bog oak, this rosary calls upon the goddess in her most life giving and taking aspects. The rosary center features a symbol of a horn and a stag, once attributes of St. Hubert they become the Golden Stag and Horn of her nymphe hunting party. The drop piece is a beautiful vintage St Mary medal, here a robed Virgin surrounded by cattails and stars, which felt appropriate for a rosary dedicated to Artemis of the Lakes and Marshes.

This rosary I believe would be a powerful tool in anyone hoping to form a close connection to the goddess Artemis, and her associated court of spirits.

Okay this is kinda of a follow-up question for the poll, but if you make prayer beads in a/the rosary style with a pendant on the end, where do you get them? Wherever I look, they are...at least 20 bucks, and usually more. Do you just buy those expensive ones? Is that why pagan prayer beads are so expensive?

I wanted to make a set of prayer beads for myself that would be pretty and good to fidget with, and this is my prototype! The idea was to create a meditative prayer honoring the gods, and I went with seven beads so I could loosely tie them to the seven UU principles, since that's a part of my tradition.

I wrote a prayer to go with them based around the gods I venerate, under the cut. Feel free to take inspiration or leave it!

Hail to the Gods

May this prayer honor the gods, nourish the spirit, and play a part in the mutual gifting cycle among us.

1 Hail, Fenrir, breaker of chains. Show me my inherent dignity and worth, break my bonds, and free me from my fear.

2 Hail, Thor, protector of the Earth. Show me courage and compassion and bring me the peace that comes from true justice.

3 Hail, Loki, Trickster, father to queers and mother to the outcast. Help me to accept change in my life and show me liberating transformation.

4 Hail, Odin, seeker of knowledge. Show me the fruits of reason and conscience, free my mind, and grant me clear vision.

5 Hail, Freyr, king of sunlight. Make fertile my endeavors and show me healing and rest.

6 Hail, Lady Hel, keeper of the dead. Caretake their spirits, and watch over me and my ancestors.

7 Hail, Spirit of Life, world tree and the interconnecting web. Make flourish the life that surrounds me, and show me myself as a piece of the web of life.

Hail to you gods, hail to you spirits, and hail to the Spirit of life. Watch over my life, protect me, and show me the sublime mystery that surrounds.

May it be so.

Not a great photo, but I created my very own witch's rosary! I am absolutely in love with it. I used a jewelry elastic so it would be easier for me to use. And that way it has some extra give to it in case it gets caught on something. I have also written my own prayers to go with it as well. I made this to help me have a deeper connection with the deities I work with. Just love it so much.

(SOLD)- Chaplet of Sirona

snake vertebrae, moonstone, fossilized coral

A chaplet dedicated to the dewoi of stars, springs, and healing, Sirona. Worshipped by the continental celtic people, the goddess Sirona was petitioned for miracles of health. Contemporarily, Sirona is often viewed as an ouranic and ocean dwelling dewoi, so this double tailed and winged mermaid amulet felt the perfect fit to depict the goddess.

Sirona's traditional attributes of the serpent and basket of eggs, the venom and the remedy, are represented here by snake vertebrae and milky white moonstones. The fossilized coral is meant to represent her connection the waters, and I hand picked specimens which reminded me glittering stars in all their many hues.

This piece, completed under the full moon, was blessed with lunar oils (as I am among those Gauls who see Sirona as a lunar-spirit), and other appropriate stellar materials. A prayer recited over each bead as it was passed over a fumigation of mugwort.
