A break from all the negativity...

To show you guys Moonie again, since I haven't shown him in a while and I know some of you love this crazy little bastard.

I did have a recent "scare" with him a few days ago when I found some tiny insects crawling around his sand which at first I confused with mites. And also took a late notice that he had been bathing more often then usual as if to try and wash off the insects. But thankfully it was NOT crab-mites, but his coconut-hut which I bought off amazon was starting to deteriorate and tiny bugs were crawling FROM IT.

So I discarded it, dumped most of his toys, waterpools, shells and even the hamster wheel into hot water. Then placed Moonie in a separate bucket with some water to let him run around the bucket and wash off whatever insects remained while I cleaned up the now empty sandbox. And that was the end of that.

Moral of the story? Be careful what you purchase online for your little crab-friend, especially if its "organic".

Today my bearded dragon was taken from the world, she was a little over a year old. I got the phone call right before work about how she was gone. I’d like to share some photos of her before she got sick, here’s Grianna, who was originally named Grian before she started laying eggs, she was a snuggler and loved being around people. Just a quick PSA for big dog owners. Its very important for you to either watch your dog, make sure your dog is well trained, or make sure your dog AT LEAST knows to stop if someone says stop. A dog got loose from its yard earlier this week and immediately barreled towards mine while she was trying to do her business outside and I tried to stop said dog by yelling at it to stop and instead it head butted my dog and she has been sore ever since. My dog is 10 pounds and almost 17 years old. This could have been prevented if either the owners watched their dog, the owners trained their dog to not ram into tiny dogs at full speed, or the owners made sure their dog understood the word stop. Please for the safety of other peoples pets, be responsible with how you train your dog.
