Pilot Zach Nose Vs. Series Zach Nose

Yes, there is a difference and I found it interesting enough to bring it to the fandom’s attention.

Pilot Zach Nose:

Series Zach Nose:

When you look at Zach’s nose from the front in the pilot vs. the series, you see a dramatic difference. Within the pilot the animators decided to use a triangle shape and proportional nostrils to signify that his nose is pointed. Within the series episodes, however, a curved and pointed line is used to showcase his pointed nose regardless of whether his nose is seen from the front or the side. His nostrils are also slightly different in shape/size which alludes to the fact that his nose is pointed.

Zach’s nose from the side view or profile does not change too much between the pilot episode and the series episodes: A curved and pointed line is used to signify his pointed nose. But the nostrils, again, are different. In the pilot his nostrils are uniform in shape when shown to the side/profile, but in the series one nostril is slightly larger than the other one. Which again shows the audience that his nose is pointed.

And, as a side note, I think the emphasis on his pointed nose is for a greater reason: to show the audience that he is a villain. Many villains are known to have pointed noses. So, by always showing the audience that his nose is pointed (which is much more evident with the series nose, because the same shape is used to show that his nose is pointed), the audience is constantly reminded of Zach’s position as a villain within the series. So, maybe the animators decided to use these shapes/drawing styles for Zach’s series nose for this reason.

Well, I don’t know if anyone cares to know this, but I thought it was interesting!

Thank you for this suggestion! I’ve never attempted drawing pilot Zach before, so this was really fun to try out! Gosh, I never realized how suave and sophisticated Zach looked in the pilot! Not to mention very powerful! I’m honestly really happy with how these turned out!

I've created ID Badges & Cards for some of the Forces & Agent Pedro Boys, and some business cards for other characters too.

My original ID Badge post is here. However, I've now created more, and wanted to group them all together on a new post for ease of access. If, and when, I make anymore for future characters, I'll add them to this post.

I've referred to the actual badges the Pedro Boys wear, where available, in scenes from the shows/films, and referred to real life ID's for accuracy. Others are made with my own creative liberty and inspiration.

ℹ️ Javi's contact card is a direct copy from S3 EP5 Narcos, which he has in his ID wallet, and he also places down the card on the table in front of Fredy Moya in S3 EP10. Photo name badge is originally created by me, based on inspiration from real life DEA badges.

Marcus Pike & Juan Badillo - FBI Badges

ℹ️ Marcus Pike (The Mentalist) & Juan Badillo (Graceland) both work for the FBI. Juan is a control officer, whilst Marcus is a special agent. I kept the badges the same, but changed the roles & photos. Based off the design from Marcus' badge glimpsed in The Mentalist.

Dave York - DIA Badge (FBI Badge Non Canon)

ℹ️ Dave works in the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency). Originally, I created an FBI badge for him, which is still relevant, as some people write him as being in the FBI in non canon etc... The DIA badge is based off of Dave's real badge in the film The Equalizer 2, which is only shown very briefly, and very blurry, so this is inspired by real life DIA badges, and the layout I saw on Dave's badge.

Agent Greer - AFT Badge

ℹ️ Agent Greer, in Law & Order, works for the BAFTE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives) and is known as an AFT Agent. His badge is glimpsed clearly and doesn't have a photo on it, so I kept the same design as his original badge on the show.

Frankie Morales - Delta Force Enlistment Document, Delta Force ID Card & Private Pilot's License.

ℹ️ Frankie doesn't have any ID physically shown in Triple Frontier, so these are all created by myself, drawing inspiration from real life Delta Force documents and pilot licenses. Frankie would have been younger when he joined Delta Force, hence choosing a younger looking photo for him. Frankie's private pilot license is designed on what a real, current license looks like. His Delta Force ID Card and Document are direct replicas of older style Delta Force ID's.

Detective Tim Rockford - LAPD ID Badge

ℹ️ Tim has a metal badge seen in the Merge Mansion adverts/stills, but I wanted to create a photo ID card for him. His badge number appears to be 2316 from what I can see on the images of it (could also be 2516), so I have used this as his badge number. Design based on a real life LAPD photo badge.

Special Agent Ortega - Photo ID Card

ℹ️ I created this based on the real life Pinkerton Detective Agency that was established back in 1850, and which most law enforcement was governed by back in the days of the Wild West, as is Special Agent Ortega. I tried to make it look old and worn. Ortega has a metal badge too, but not a star as he wasn't a sheriff. The Pinkerton logo is the actual logo used from back then too.

Zach Wellison - Royal Marine Corps ID

ℹ️ I created Zach's Marine Corps ID Badge based off of what a real, current badge looks like. I created his rank based on research and how many tours he mentioned he had done in the episode of Brothers & Sisters that he was in, so I put him as a Lance Corporal; a rank that sees front line action, but is not the lowest rank of front line Marines - it is third up from the bottom. I made his service status complete, as it doesn't mention in the episode why or how he left. But I personally imagine he had an honorable discharge due to PTSD/anger issues.

Agent Whiskey - Statesman ID Card

ℹ️ I kept the info brief on this card deliberately, seeing as Whiskey is a secret agent for a secret organisation. Therefore, I didn't include his real name. As there are no actual ID cards shown in the movie, this was all creative liberty from myself.

Detective Edward (Ed) Indelicato - LAPD ID Badge

ℹ️ Ed Indelicato is from the unaired pilot of the Wonder Woman TV series from 2011. He is a detective in LA who assists Wonder Woman, and I wanted to create a badge for him. I kept it similar to Tim's, but an earlier version with a slightly different layout and lighter blue tone. Based on a real life LAPD badge.

Kyle Hartley - EMT Card

ℹ️ Kyle is in an episode of CSI and he is a character who is an EMT/Paramedic. So I created a card for him based on his location in the show, and the photo image on his file from the episode.

Din Djarin - Bounty Hunter Guild Card

ℹ️ There are so many amazing cards out there already for Din, that are canon realistic. However, I created a basic ID token with his name and bounty ID number, all written in Mandalorian. The circular logo used here is from the Bounty Hunter's Guild formed by Bossk, Boba Fett and Din.

Joel Miller - Contractor Business Card

ℹ️ I created my own take on Joel & Tommy's contracting business card before the Outbreak. I wanted a clean, simple design that was reminiscent of business cards back in the early 2000's.

Jay Castillo - Tattoo Business Card

ℹ️ Jay is described as a tattoo artist in Red Widow, therefore I created a business card for his tattoo business. It's not confirmed if he has his own business or not in the show to my knowledge, so I made this based on my own assumption. I imagined this card being embossed and glossy when printed.

Day 14: I Remember Everything

Pairings: Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell x fem!reader

Synopsis: Both you and Maverick are struggling with the loss of Goose. Based on the Zach Bryan And Kacey Musgraves song ‘I Remember Everything’.

Warnings: Alcoholism, death, tears, bad coping mechanisms, break-ups & feeling of abandonment.

Ever since your boys went off to Top Gun, you couldn’t wait to see them. So, when family week rolled around, you, along with Carole and Bradley, boarded the plane together. Carole was ecstatic to have her sister-in-law joining her on the flight. It gave her someone to watch Bradley while she snuck in a few hours of shut-eye. You couldn’t wait to see your big brother. However, Goose wasn’t the only one you were excited to see. For the past three years, you and Maverick had been dating.

Throughout their time in Fighter Town, you had heard all about your boyfriend’s rivalry with Iceman. You remembered him from Goose’s time at the academy. You found that he was a lovely person. So lovely, in fact, that you went out with him for the entire time Goose was at the academy. You wouldn’t put his competitive side past him. Even if Maverick was stretching the truth just a little bit. You never imagined that the competition between them would escalate to where it was now. As far as you had been told, it was a healthy, safe competition. Now, however, you wanted to smack both Iceman and your boyfriend upside the head.

Your older brother was the most important person in your life. He had practically raised you. You could vividly remember crying for weeks when he left home for the academy. When Maverick and Goose had first been paired together, you had sat the rebellious pilot down and told him that while Goose trusted him, you weren’t so convinced. In that moment, Maverick promised you that your brother would always return safely to his family. Three months later, Mav took you out on your first date.

Maverick had quickly gained your trust. You soon came to learn that you and your brother were the only family that he had. That only helped to prove the fact that Maverick would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat for either of you. For that, you were immensely grateful.

Given their job, you understood that there was a large risk factor. However, you knew how good of a pilot your boyfriend was. If he had any control over the situation, everything would turn out okay. Even though you trusted him, you knew that sometimes, he didn’t trust himself. When he was up in the air, it was like he was flying against a ghost. You knew exactly whose ghost that was.

Mav had always thought that he was a disappointment, purely because he was his father's son. He had always been told that he would never amount to anything, all because of his last name. You saw how hard he worked to prove them wrong. That was one of the things you loved about him. No matter how many times he got pushed down, he always got back up.

This time, however, was shaping up to be very different than the others. This time, there was no going back.

Before they left for Top Gun, you had told Maverick about your ex. After all, you were pretty sure that he would be there as well. Oh, how right you were. It was just your luck that the two of them would end up going head-to-head for first place. At the beginning, you were thrilled with the idea of Mav and Goose getting to go to Top Gun. Now, you would give anything to keep them from ever getting a chance.

Only a few days after you had arrived for family week, there was a tragic accident. Maverick and Ice were tied for first and you knew that both of them would do whatever they could to win. What you didn’t know was that ‘whatever they could’ would come with a grave cost.

When you had first heard the news, you collapsed. You had lost your brother. The one piece of your family you had left and he was gone. Unsurprisingly, Maverick had turned into a mess. Goose was like the brother that he never had. Regardless of whose fault it was technically, Maverick would never stop blaming himself. Needless to say, Mav wasn’t handling the situation very well. Even Carole seemed to be having a better time coping with the tragic loss of her husband.

While a large part of you felt so sorry for your boyfriend, the other part wished he would open his eyes. He wasn’t the only person that lost somebody. But he was sure acting like he was. Carole had lost a husband. Bradley had lost a father. You had lost a brother. And yet none of that seemed to matter to your grieving boyfriend. To him, he was the only person that lost Goose. He began drinking his troubles away, not a single thought as to what all of this was doing to you.

Now, you were sobbing in the bedroom you shared with Maverick. He hadn’t been at the past few days of training, spending all of his time in the bar. With your boyfriend off god-knows-where, you couldn’t help but miss everything that the two of you used to have. Late nights spent cuddled up on that old ratty couch, Mav whispering sweet nothings in your ear the whole time flooded your mind as you continued to sob.

Goose wasn’t just your boyfriend, he was your best friend. A few days after the accident, the pain had worn off. Now, all you felt was numb. While Maverick had drinking, you had nothing. You had nothing to make that feeling go away. Through your tears, you finally came to a horrible realization. Your loving boyfriend was gone. He died in the same accident that your brother did.

You couldn’t stay with him anymore. Not if it was going to be like this. Was Maverick hurting? Of course he was. But were you also hurting? Yes. In the aftermath of the accident, you had assured Maverick again and again that you were there for him. That you would be the shoulder he could lean on should he need somebody. Instead, he had turned to drinking, leaving you with no shoulder at all.

Sniffling, you wiped your nose on the back of your hand and stood up from the bed on shaky legs. You hadn’t left the bed all day. Picking up the phone, you tried to call the bar where you figured Maverick was. When the bartender picked up and tried to hand the phone to Mav, your boyfriend refused to talk to you. The phone dropped out of your hand as you stared straight ahead. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Numbly, you began packing your bags. You had very few clothes, but you threw all of them into a bag with little to no order. Soon enough, your bags were packed and you were slamming the door of Maverick’s base housing. Time seemed to fly as you called a taxi to the airport and bought a ticket home. Sure, Carole and Bradley were still here, but you had no reason to stay. You would have loved to stay for Maverick’s graduation. However, you just couldn’t bring yourself to wait around for someone that was long gone.

When you stepped out of your apartment a week ago with a duffel bag slung over your shoulder, there had been a permanence in the resounding thud of the front door as it swung shut. One that echoed in your ears as you walked across the wet pavement, drowning out the sounds of traffic on the street and the rumbling storm clouds above. 

You’d ignored it then.

Ignored the distraction in your fiancé’s eyes as you leaned in for a kiss goodbye. 

Ignored the hollow feeling in your chest, the parts of you that had been peeling away long before your flight to San Diego.

But now, when your phone screen lights up from where it’s resting on top of the table as you’re gathered at the Hard Deck with your fellow pilots, you can’t ignore the message that pops up, letters bold and bright—

20:27 - i can’t do this anymore 20:31 - there’s someone else You’ve had your suspicions, and you’ve had more than enough time to reckon with the ugly crash and burn your life has been careening toward for months now. But it hurts worse like this, the truth reduced to eight words glowing in the palm of your hand. 

Bob looks like he wants to say something from where he’s seated beside you when he watches you unceremoniously pluck off your engagement ring and drop it into your half-full glass of beer, but Phoenix kicks him hard under the table, and his mouth snaps shut. He pushes at the bridge of his glasses instead, sliding his own untouched drink your way.

Minutes and hours start to blend together as you work your way through several more glasses, going from moderately buzzed to nearly falling out of your seat, at which point you find yourself pressed against a warm body, a pair of arms helping you back up. 

“You okay?”

There’s concern in Rooster’s eyes as he looks down at you, one hand resting on your shoulder. 

“Never been better, Rooster,” you sarcastically reply, reaching for the latest cup of beer you’ve been nursing.

“Did somebody lose a—” Fanboy is cut off by Phoenix clapping a hand over his mouth, but the damage has already been done when both you and Rooster glance over to see him holding up a shiny, golden band, fingers wet with beer from fishing it out of the glass. 

Rooster’s eyes dart down to your left hand, and he starts to say your name, but you cut him off as you grit out, “Let it go.”

You know he’s not going to. 

“What did he do this time?” 

There’s anger in his tone, though it’s not directed at you. But you don’t care. You can’t do this right now.

“It doesn’t matter.”

“It matters to me.”

You’re too drunk for this. Too goddamn drunk and angry and hurt.

“Well I don’t want to fucking talk about it,” you snap, stumbling as you go to stand up again. 

Rooster tries to steady you, but you tear yourself out of his grasp, storming toward the exit. When the door to the bar swings open, you just barely make it to where your rental car is parked before you’re grasping the driver’s side door, gasping for breath.

It’s a balmy night, but—maybe because of the panic rapidly rising up inside of you—the air feels stifling. And just like that, you can't breathe.

Your fingernails drag across the cool metal of the car’s frame as you scramble for purchase, heart pounding and head swimming. Waves crash against the breakers across the sandy beach, the scent of salt air flooding your nostrils, and for a moment you’re out there treading water at the mercy of the current, untethered and sinking.

And then you find yourself wrapped up in a strong embrace from behind, the noise in your head going quiet at the sound of Rooster’s voice, his chest to your back, mouth pressed against the shell of your ear—

“I’ve got you, I’ve got you.”

He hugs you tighter when you turn in his arms, burying your face in his chest.

“It’s okay,” he murmurs, thumbs rubbing circles into your back.

And it’s those two words that make you begin to cry harder, because it’s true. Wrapped up in Rooster’s arms, in the familiar scent of his cologne, the steady beating of his heart, you do feel okay. You feel like you’ve washed up ashore, oxygen filling your lungs as you cough up the stale, acrid remains of the sea. 

It’s always felt like this with Bradley—safe.

Reassuring.

Home.

But the two of you have perpetually been two ships passing in the night. Years of fondness and attraction unable to breach the barriers of wrong place, wrong time. 

“He never deserved you,” he mutters against your hair.

But you did.

You still do.

“You should have said that when he proposed,” you sigh, loosening your grip on his shirt.

He laughs weakly. “Would that have changed anything?”

It would have changed everything.

“What do you think, Bradshaw?” 

And as he takes your chin between his thumb and forefinger, his expression flooded with determination and unabashed affection, your heart skips a beat. 

“I think I should have done this a long time ago,” he murmurs, leaning in and pressing his lips to yours.
