Zetsu: What are you talking about? When I took that poll, YOU beat out all three of those guys by thousands of votes…

Konan: Oi, you’re not using MY image on something some perverted old man is going to buy and do terrible things to!

Konan: But anyways … *brings out the prototypes of the three boys’ pillows* This is what we’re going to be selling. Kakuzu has launched a website and —

Itachi: I … I’m not so sure I’m comfortable with my image being used for such a thing … but I suppose I’m grateful that in spite of my health issues I’m still found to be physically desirable.

Consummation Proof of Concept: Fun Facts

my childhood dreams

You may have seen me say that Consummation is a story that I’ve wanted to create for a very long time. How long; how long is very long?

To answer to that question: almost ten years.

I can’t quite remember when exactly this story entered my brain and decided not to leave, but I can vividly remember drawing the characters on notebook paper during my high school freshman year Biology class. (Consummation, by the same name, was probably conceptualized that year.)

The Four Gods, four territories.

A freelancer called Suzukaze, beloved by the wind.

An info broker called Qin, wearing a qipao.

And a beloved “Senpai” by the name of Kagura.

Those are the key factors that existed back then and still exist to this day.

Of course, since high school, lots of things have changed as Consummation sat around in the ideas document waiting for the light of day, being dusted off now and then in different forms.

For example:

The protagonist switched to Qin from Suzukaze for a period! (Although we’re back to my wind-blessed freelancer daughter)

Senpai (Kagura) was explicitly dead in most early iterations of the story, making it a revenge plot

Characters like Belka and Juhyeon were only created within the last two iterations of Consummation

I’m looking forward to seeing how Consummation evolves from now on, still so much the same yet so much changing.

But for now, I’m happy to ramble a bit about the parts that were exposed in the prototype demo!

Q. world building?

First, let’s talk about the world building. Consummation is set in an unspecified era after the world as we know it was destroyed by a calamity that left the majority of the world uninhabitable and dangerous to return to.

We can consider the genre to be modern fantasy, the setting post-apocalyptic.

The plot takes place on an artificial island built in the Sea of Japan, a smattering of cities built upon the artificial land and manufacturing/infrastructure set below the earth in order to sustain an island that has no external trade. The level of technology is similar to ours but possibly slightly more advanced, even as the end of the world would have destroyed a lot of progress.

Whether or not there is any life beyond the island is unknown to the people living on the island; the belief is that they are the last humans on the face of the earth.

The island, which is usually referred to as just the island, is split into four territories in the four cardinal directions, each territory ruled by a group from each of the countries that helped create the island.

Fun fact: It used to be called the “Scrapyard.”

Should we call this a confederacy of dictatorships? Certainly, it wouldn’t exactly be false. (The island is not a democracy.)

For someone like our protagonist Suzukaze, the specifics of government and politics are beyond the scope of her focus, but you’ll see how the characters live on the island regardless.

Q. What are the four territories?

In story, the countries that built up the island are Japan, Korea (unspecified), China, and Russia. As such, the territories are split between their groups and mostly run along their ethnic lines although movement between territories is not difficult.

There also exists a neutral city-territory, governed jointly by the four groups ruling over the territories, called Central, the location of the main story.

Fun fact: While the Chinese territory and Japanese territory existed in the earliest iterations of Consummation, the other two territories were initially different groups (Italian and MENA).

However, taking into consideration the focus on East Asian mythology and the location of the island, I decided to go with countries from within the geographical region around the Sea of Japan that would be reasonably involved in the joint development of such an island.

(Maybe my Italian and MENA girls are somewhere out there in their own version of an island…)

Q. Who are the ruling groups of the four territories?

However, despite speaking in broad strokes of countries above, it quickly becomes clear that the ruling groups of the four territories are not quite the former state governments but rather families with the blessings of the Four Gods (the cardinal beasts, however you would like to call them).

The ruling groups can be considered powerful families that existed in their respective countries before the end of the world. They were able to gain positions overseeing the island before the collapse and then consolidated power as the de facto government after the collapse.

In earlier iterations of Consummation, the story was also more focused on gangs and gang warfare (a mafia story?). However, for the sake of certain plot points, the four groups turned from their initial characterization as string-pullers influencing a weak government to the government themselves.

This is what we call the monopoly of legal violence.

Q. Cults?

Yes.

Q. language?

Given the four countries that led to the four territories, it would make sense that multiple languages should be spoken on the island.

At the very least, Russian, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean are spoken on the island. For the time being, I won’t specify if there’s a common language used for cross group communication or if everyone can just magically understand each other like Tekken characters. (o´▽`o)

Q. Senpai?

But you might notice that a very important character is referred to as “Senpai.”

Given the differences in types of relationships that exist across cultures (e.g,, there are so many ways to refer to various relatives in Chinese), I was unable to find a good word to describe the relationship between Suzukaze and Kagura aside from “Senpai.”

Perhaps if they were in school, then I’d call it something like “upperclassman” or “senior sister” (haha, no way), but it’s something that I can only describe as “Senpai.”

As such, you may see terms like “Senpai” used throughout the story for character relationships that are difficult to describe in English.

Q. What about honorifics?

However, I will refrain from using honorifics throughout the story. It would quickly become confusing with so many in-story languages, and my familiarity with Korean and Russian is relatively poor.

The lack of honorifics may be considered a loss of information, but as the story is originally written in English anyhow, I imagine that shouldn’t be a huge problem. Overall, I’d like to be consistent within the story.

Thus, no honorifics here!

Q. Who are the heroines/love interests?

Given that Consummation is a yuri game, I figure that I should specify who the love interests are before I close off this ramble.

They are Qin, Kagura, Juhyeon!

My daughter Juhyeon will get revenge for her flirting being ignored…

(There is a minor chance of Belka having a route as well, but currently no plans are in place for a Belka route.)

I hope I’ll be able to elevate Consummation to active project status soon. There is currently no timeline for that change, and I have at least one project queued up before Consummation.

(The dream I had was so nostalgic… I think that’s why my head got all confused when I woke up.) (There was something like that, huh… I completely forgot until I had that dream.) (I wonder if he remembers it… That small promise we made in that white room.) (That promise we made while watching our classmates going to the pool. It’s okay, I’m giving you permission. If you’re the one asking, I’m more than happy to allow it. ♪ Hm? Um… What’s with that expression? Yes, that’s true. It makes sense that if we’re going to collect data, the people who know what the purpose is should be involved. So you have a request of me? Ah… I understand what you’re saying, Anzu-chan. Fate & Phantasms Viewers' Choice poll

Type: Earth is basically your good friend Arcueid from Tsukihime, which everyone has certainly played by this point. this is your weekly reminder to play Tsukihime.

Riesbyfe Stridberg, from Melty Blood. She’s a holy knight who cheated death thanks to her shield, Gamaliel, and as such she could be considered Mash’s senpai in shielding. it also keeps her from aging, so that’s a fun addition to add for no reason, and makes her much easier to build. thanks, nasu!

Richard the Lionheart is from Fate/Strange Fake, so who knows, maybe he'll show up in that collab? he bolsters allies, frightens enemies, and is all around just clever fighter. Historically, he was part of the third crusade, which wasn't the first crusade so it didn't go so hot.

The Deviljho is a brute wyvern from the Monster Hunter series, infamous for its strength making it the apex predator of whatever land it wanders into, and also for its massive appetite which quickly annihilates the entire food chain beneath it. it is so ravenous it will even eat its own severed tail with little prompting. it also looks like a giant pickle.

Wei Wuxian from the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is the titular grandmaster, creating a brand new school of magic in the process that allows one to summon and control the dead, along with your standard "smart guy who's good at everything" toolkit- swordplay, charioteering, math, archery, music, etc. He also invented a whole laundry list of fun toys to play around with, including the ability to attach your soul to a piece of paper, and a compass that points out evil creatures.

Koyanskaya of Light is a weird one, in no small part due to the fact that her big story chapter hasn’t shown up in NA yet. still, she’s an arms dealer, and this one’s focused more on hurting humans than her other side, so we should be able to manage fine. bullets and rifles and tanks, oh my!

Finally, we have the prototype robot V1 from Ultrakill. They were just your average war machine that runs on blood, up until every living thing on earth died, and they had to invade hell to borrow some of their blood in a bid to continue to exist. A lot of their blood, actually. As the title implies, ultrakill involves a lot of killing. Their main strengths include their ridiculous mobility, as well as the ability to parry a much wider range of attacks than you'd expect, sending enemy projectiles, fists larger than their entire body, and even their own bullets at enemies for massive damage.

Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Ember is known for her slender female body build but it rather of a normal female body build. Before the abduction for the experiment, she originally had light blush red colored hair and it was short to her neckline as a human being. But after the experiment and her escape her looks changed, her hair then turned into chantilly lace white colored hair and in addition of gaining rabbit ears after infected. Before as a human, she has tart red colored eyes but still has it after turning infected but her pupils were the only difference. Ember is known for her silent behavior but she looks rather serious for her mood.

Personality: Before her current state of being, Ember used to be normal, as a human being, not a humanoid rabbit actually. Within her town that she was born into alongside with her younger sister, there rather yet a simple happiness in it for her and nothing more... Ember used to be calm yet busy for her age as an older sister.

That is... Till she had reached age 14, when a large group of abductors came in as many within the two were taken one after another for one night, turning the peaceful town into a destroyed ghost town, this resulted the town folks including herself and her family imprisoned within a very large laboratory that is considered to be a jail center location that is... Far from the town she used to be in.

Those peaceful days were turned into hellish memories, many were experimented but couldn't survive the virus infection... Many screams, cries of agony and pleads, worst of seeing many laid before her on the floor bleeding and couldn't move, she seen it all in her cell cage as she witness them taking her two only parents to the operation table. Ember was losing it all... As months passed, her sister was next... This time, she heard news that the experiment on hee was a success. Something snapped in the older sister, something that should have been done for in the first place ever since day one of her imprisonment.

Within those moments were... Escaping her cell, Finding her younger sister, and attempting to escape the lab with her... The finale? Failed and got captured as the last one.

But... Then survived but became an infected as well but... Her deepest rage that she kept in had lashed out as she alongside with her sister escape. Meeting her master was somewhat of a fate after a few days, though it may turn her into a wanted though but it didn't matter to her... Because avenging her many losses is the only thing to do now that she and her sister were now alive.

The current Ember we are nowing seeing in the present went from calm and quiet to become quite serious and a little bit stern to her surroundings after becoming an infected and a survivor with her younger sister. Despite the traumatic events that Ember went through to survive after becoming a wanted target, be surprise that she is still sane after the whole issue, seeing her meaning that there still bits of humanity in her.

Despite her appearance has changed (additional of having bunny ears), Ember is a little social to others but not very much at leastwise with anyone she sees. Though she can be rather blunt and just straight out having a blank expression at the bit least of it, but can give a response normally. According to her younger sister, Ember is mostly quiet and doesn't give much too much reactions from herself.

This bunny may look like a bunny however thanks to what she been through may get to think twice till what's coming next. After becoming a wanted target and also an escape lab subject, Ember had became feared and intimidating at anyone to the full core of her veins, thanks to her master's teachings of rather a tough kung-fu, she can defend herself but with brutality if you dare to consider her as a enemy but once a fight starts, anyone's who is a threat to her and her sister are long dead gone.

Revenge for her mass losses is her current option for now, but she still needs to enjoy life as vengeance will come soon at her stead.

Trivia

-The name 'Ember' is a British name that means Spark; Burning low. Fan the flames of baby's future with this striking name. While her surname 'Frostine' is girl's name of French origin meaning "freezing".

-She's based on 'Bloody Bunny' from the game 'Bloody Bunny, First Blood' and Series 'Don't be my enemy'.

-Ember seems to know how to cook food for herself and for her sister during their days of survival, but she's more on baking than cooking. Her sister Chione often helps her with it.

-Is really good with math, especially her solutions.

-Is in fact intrigued with horror novels, and still is.

-Before becoming an infected, she was previously in a taekwondo then went to karate classes for self-defense, it was recommended by her father. But her skills increased thanks to her master.

-She can collect some not-used knives and blades and keeps it for herself, tends to sharpen the blade of it.

-Still knows how to be a student after entering HSA with Chione. (Well, you have blame the people who are in the lab who made her into this)

-She's a little attentive to Chione but not too much though. Does care for her and worry for her a little bit, especially about the virus cells and her monster transformation she had witnessed.

-As stated, Ember had used to be human till a strange lab company abducted her and her neighbors and put them in hostage as lab subjects. She and her younger sister were the only two survivors after getting infected and then escaped. Ember then declared and promised to avenge her parents and her people who died in the lab.

-According to the creator, she has the most virus cells than her younger sister in her body and veins.

-During her days as a wanted target, she and Chione then met Daniel and his group. Although both sisters and his group weren't in good terms which caused a great misunderstanding at one another. But then, both sides became neutral in the aftermath, well less likely for Ember and Daniel though.

-It's slightly possible that Ember and Daniel can be together as a ship, but it isn't so sure.

-Is used to being called as a 'Bitch' often from anyone, but gets annoyed if she get called as 'Daniel's Bitch' from Kassie herself.

-Is not fazed much if someone tries to flirt with her. Though Chione wouldn't allow that.

-Knows how to do knife tricks, and also does it without harming someone.

-As an infected, Ember cannot feel any slight stand of pain of either getting stab by a weapon or more. She can still be okay and her body can regenerate due to the virus in her, but can lose a lot of energy though.

-Her bunny ears can twitch a little.

-Holds her pink pendent dearly that her parents gave to her after they had died in the lab.

-Can make a bloody mess if necessary to any of her enemies, of course she is a wanted target after all.

-Does know how to make crows like her out of surprise.

As I thought, it's amazing... Ayase-senpai, is it difficult to make a diorama?

If I were alone, I'd probably get bored quickly, but with Ayase-senpai, I feel like I could manage at least one without getting discouraged and keep trying.

What kind of diorama would you like to create?

Tomoya: Well... What sort of things can be made?

Mayoi: You can make anything. People, animals, buildings... You can even make a planet.

I was thinking of trying to make Hokuto-senpai, but I don't think it would be possible for a beginner...

Natsume: ...Sigh, the chaos at the end of last year and the start of this one has finally calmed down.

We started the SS qualifying rounds, unveiled a new stage prototype in SSVRS, did work at the Maizuru Manor — it feels like I'm bragging a little, though. [1]

With that, I can finally go back to a normal pace.

Now, I'll go hit Senpai, who was doing exploitative work even during that time. I hope he looks forward to his belated day-of—

Natsume: (That venomous snake...?! Why is he here?!)

That aside, do you know about NETV?

Natsume: Ne... What?

Ibara: NETV — a streaming service aimed towards an international audience that was launched recently.

Unlike major streaming sites that invest large sums of money and take up a big market share in the industry, the streaming services in this country produce programs on a reasonable budget.

Despite being niche, there's a demand for idol programs internationally — and that's what NETV is trying to produce.

So that's why I came here to discuss if I could select guest stars from NewDi who would help out.

Tsumugi: That's right! Saegusa-kun said we'd be working on "a reasonable budget", but when I saw what was planned, it was more all-encompassing that I thought.

I was wondering if a growing agency like NewDi would even have a chance.

Natsume: I don't buy it... I can't believe this venomous snake here is offering a job to us.

There has to be a catch. If there wasn't, CosPro would've chosen to monopolise such an appetising project for themselves.

Ibara: It's ridiculous that you'd think there's a 'catch'. Just like fortune telling, it's simply statistics and mechanisms.

I don't mean to tell you a lame joke like, "It'd be unfortunate to tell a lie to a fortune teller." There are things I won't be explaining, but I can disclose some of it with you. [2]

The truth is, CosPro was able to invest in NETV as well.

They're an old connection I have from when I was first starting out as a manager a long time ago. As a result, it'd be a total loss for us if this program doesn't succeed.

In other words, this project proposal is an idea I came up with after thinking there should be a few losses at most. If it's a program featuring a crossover between two agencies, then it'd be publicity for both of us.

So CosPro is excited for the program to succeed, while NewDi gets the opportunity to appear on it—

What do you think? It's not that bad of a proposal, is it now?

Natsume: ...

Tsumugi: I feel partial towards appearing on NETV, too.

I saw the materials, and it didn't leave a bad impression on me, so I felt like a respectable production company is involved.

The only problem is that NETV does online programs, so there aren't that many idols from major agencies appearing on the program, right?

...Wait, NewDi isn't even a major agency, though.

Currently, this is a once in a lifetime chance for us. With online programs being a still-developing industry, not many of the long-standing agencies would risk entering it.

Natsume: ...Hmph. The questionable parts are undeniable, but it does make sense.

But when that venomous snake does something suspicious, I won't stay quiet about it.

Ibara: Well now, don't be like that! Let's both look forward to working hard together as coworkers!

Mirai backstory

Mirai grew up in a poor family. She wanted to become a hero to help them out of their situation but they instead decided to sell her off to a rich classmate of hers. So before she would have graduated she ran away while using her future vision to evade being found.

At some point, she'd run into Dabi while at a low point. [She was 18 at the time.] She didn't see a good future for herself and would nearly end up before a possibly worse fate would befall her. But would be stopped.

After spending some time together the 'fiance' would find her and attempt to murder her. She'd be stabbed in the side. She'd have a handprint scar because it was from when the stab wound was cauterized. She'd be left behind to be found by an incoming hero. [Inn she was staying at was set on fire before she was brought out and so it attracted attention from heroes]

After this point: Version 1, bar pianist. Mirai would live normally while working at a bar. [Sadao Karou as her senpai working at the same place.] Off time she is a vigilante by the name of Star Seer. Version 2, secret LoV supporter It's not too different from version 1. Just that if she runs into anyone from LoV she'll give them something useful. Like directing Harmony toward Dabi or giving Toga some of her own blood.

Prototype, similar to maid plot: Basically, it's her working under Endeavor. But the prototype plot involves her being more of a secretary than a maid. Maid version would sometimes perform but not as often as version 1.

Haikyuu Chapter 262: Always Enthusiastic

REFLECTION:

Did you know Tanaka used to have hair? Wild. Also, he was a lot more rough around the edges than the lovable bruiser we know today. Think Prototype Tanaka instead of our Tanaka. However, before he went up against another team while he was younger, he overheard them badmouth Karasuno. He had the appropriate response:

However, Sawamura stopped him, laughing the whole thing off and saying that Karasuno is lucky that they even got a team to practice against. See, he said that but Tanaka ain't an idiot: he looked at this eyes and the eyes of his seniors. He knew they weren't laughing. He also knew that Sawamura just cared about two things: improving and winning. That's when he decided that his senpais weren't just older, they were truly strong.

Flash forward to the present, where Tanaka's midness during the game is setting in. He goes up against three blockers, spikes the ball...and hits it out of bounds. The chapter ends with even Bokuto noting that Tanka is starting to buckle under the pressure of being useless.

Sora: Set up an electric kettle filled with plenty of water~····· Switch ON♪

It's amazing that all you have to do is wait a little bit and it turns into hot water~ It's like magic!

Jun: ·····hm, Harukawa-kun? Are you also making cup of noodles?

Sora: Ah, Jun-chan senpai! Good morning!

Sora is making onigiri and potato salad. Put potato snacks in a mug, pour hot water and cook for 3 minutes.....

Mix the fluffed snacks well and voila! This is an easy dish that even sora can made♪

Jun: He~e, That one is easy. I'll try it next time♪

But still.... I didn't expect to meet someone at this hour. You're eating breakfast awfully early, aren't you?

Sora: Today is the day to play a new game with the "Asobi" members. Sora was so excited that he woke up early~

"Idol Sugoroku" is a new board game from the company that made it, and CosPro is involved in its production.

That's why, you see, CosPro affiliated idols are used as pieces. This is me~♪

Sora: HiHi~♪ That's amazing~, It's so small, but it captures all the features so well!

Jun: I'm so glad you said that. At first, it didn't look at all like this.

EXPERIENCE/HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): Over a decade now! I’m able to roleplay in quick, chatroom based platforms alongside forum based platforms.

PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: Let’s see... Tumblr, of course... MSPARP/MXRP... Various Jcink forum RP sites, Discord... There was a time I even RPd on Roblox... There was a site called Tinier.me at one point... I jumped between Homestuck, Fandomstuck, BIT.TRIP, [PROTOTYPE], Undertale, Just Shapes and Beats, Vocaloid, some original stuff, some other things I may be forgetting, and Persona in terms of my realm of source material familiarity.

BEST EXPERIENCE: When I was starting out in the area of Persona RP, I took on Rei since she was the most familiar to me at the time and, thanks to the setting of that specific RP, I was able to create the first iteration of the Coma AU (this iteration gave Rei the Moirai as her Personas and her summoning method was a heart-locket necklace). Over the course of that RP, a close friendship/mentor-student dynamic became established between her and Makoto (the Minato name was used in that RP). He became Rei’s senpai in terms of Persona affairs and it lead to a lot of soft, platonically fluffy moments between the two. It was after that experience that I grew to love the Makoto/Rei dynamic in general.

RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: You know the different “suddenly this happens” anon asks that have been sent around? That’s one of them. Like, I get it, you want something to happen. But you aren’t the blog owner; you aren’t the mun. Don’t force something upon me like that.

As for other things... This mainly applies to multifandom settings but a small dealbreaker for me (that doesn’t get in the way most of the time) is the setting not allowing a bit of extra freedom, whether that be including OCs and/or AUs among other things. I understand why they wouldn’t be allowed otherwise (keeping canon in line, for the most part) but, if there is a way to include them and give a baseline of what’s okay and what’s not okay to keep things from becoming too crazy, then let there be some clearance; just like the common aspect in the multifandom settings of allowing multiple FFXIV Warriors of Light with the only limit of one WOL per job.

Again, that doesn’t get in the way often; there have been settings that I’ve been able to take part in despite it (thanks to Rei)... But I wanna be able to RP any of my Mirror boys in these different interesting settings. Heck, that’s part of the reason why the Mirror AU blog came to be; I wanna be able to RP my boys without too much worry.

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: Oh dear god, NO SMUT. Smut RP is just... Beyond me; I can’t even see myself writing anything like that. I’m all for fluff and the softness alongside mild angst. Severe angst is out of my comfort zone...

PLOTS OR MEMES: I welcome both! I do like threads where everything is on the spot alongside threads where the basis is planned beforehand, too. It allows for a lot of variety.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I try my best to match but I’m okay with either or!

BEST TIME TO WRITE: I’m very sporadic so it’s really hard for it to be concrete.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): ...I think a combo of Otoji and Rei? Maybe a little Naruaki mixed in. I have no idea, I’d have to do a lot of introspection.
