sometimes i think about how the acotar books could've been a great way to show that "love doesn't heal trauma" rather than whatever points sjm was trying to make about abusive relationships and sa. instead of tamlin being abusive, she could've written that feylin's individual traumas kept them from reaching out to each other. or that feyre felt suffocated by the perfect, idyllic and alive spring court when she felt the opposite on the inside. or that tamlin felt overwhelmed by the sudden influx of responsibilities as he's trying to rid himself of the nightmares from utm. they try to make it work. they try to replicate some of the dates and dances from book #1 but there's an almost tangible shadow over their relationship now. and maybe one day feyre sees a memorial for andras or a likeness to one of the high fae living in the spring court to one of the high fae she killed utm, and has a panic attack. and this serves as the catalyst that severs feylin's relationship and reveals that yes, their love broke a curse, their love saved prythian but it couldn't (and shouldn't) heal them.

#im not an analysis girlie i'd much rather rb the smart people in this fandom #but i couldn't stop thinking of this despite sarah's tendency to resolve all of her characters' traumas with dick #no need to retcon or character assassinate my bbgs #feyre could've had a whole plot to herself where she lived outside the bounds of a romantic relationship and discovered her abilities #there could've been reconciliation between her and her sisters (perhaps something that could start her healing)#hell you could even put the feysand mating bond in there and show once again that a magical love bond does not heal trauma #give them a fling that rhysand stops because he knows she's trying to force it so she can feel healed #and its bare minimum but rhys actually sacrificing his desires on page and putting feyre's mental health above them gives him likable #qualities and shows that he truly cares about feyre and this could maybe start his redemption arc #this definitely spiraled but i think it would've been cool #anti sjm #anti acomaf

It's really funny seeing new fans be like "Wait the doctor is gay/bi/nonbinary/etc???" As if they haven't been kissing men and women and all else left and right and ignoring gender as a concept since the very beginning

like, i’m sorry, but when you really think abt it, the aurora hate makes 0 sense. she was a teenage girl thrown forward thousands of years in time (already fucking stressful). add to this the fact that she had a twin brother. she was very close to him. he died protecting her. he came back a monster. he was left out of the Great Family Reunion Sleepover because of it, so he lived those years. and it puts a wall up between him and aurora, for multiple reasons. 1) he became a feared assassin leader and developed his powers and learned to live as a lone survivor after his family abandoned him (i personally believe aurora would’ve fought tooth and nail to try and stay with her twin, so it wasn’t abandonment on purpose on her part). 2) for aurora, her brother died and came back wrong because of her and that happened to her, like, last week. she has not gotten over that trauma. she probably feels incredibly guilty over it still, and she’s definitely scared that castor might hate her over it. they’re jst not emotionally nor psychologically on the same level and it’s rlly heartbreaking.

well i went a lil crazy today lol- spent all day drawin stuff for the modern au (mosty abt Pyrrha Omega but I also ended up designing Ti/ra, Rosalind and Sieglinde)

I was thinking on how Pyrrha Omega would come to be in a modern setting, and decided on a good method of going about it. Which will be under the cut <3

So my thought was after Pyrrha and CJ became friends and CJ ended up becoming wary of Ti/ra's presence in Pyrrha's life, Ti/ra backed off for a while. Rather than whisking Pyrrha off to find the dormant Soul Edge themselves, she went off on her own to try and find it. Since, y'know, CJ would've gotten the police involved the second Pyrrha would've gone missing since she was very very suspicious of Ti/ra. Ti/ra didn't have as much luck as she'd hoped in finding the cursed sword, due to other cults and criminals trying to find it first. However, after a very long search, she finally found a fragment of it. Any progress was better than none for Ti/ra, so she tracked down Pyrrha once more upon finding the shard so she could test the waters.

At this point, Pyrrha was no longer a wee little high schooler, but an adult. Pyrrha and CJ ended up staying friends through the time Ti/ra was gone, even becoming best friends at that point. Ti/ra definitely wanted to get rid of CJ, as she was getting in the way of using Pyrrha as a vessel for the cursed power. Things were turned at least somewhat in Ti/ra's favor, as with time, the spirit swords slowly began to awaken from their slumber, due to so many people trying to hunt the weapons down.

So, she used Pyrrha's good nature to lure her out to somewhere secluded by sending one of her watchers to feign an injury where Pyrrha could see it. Of course, Pyrrha being concerned for the injured animal tried to catch them to help, but by the time she realized what was going on, Ti/ra had her cornered. Of course, Ti/ra played it off in a buddy buddy manner. Hey, two friends reuniting after years apart, so sweet, right? Pyrrha was, admittedly scared, and cautious around Ti/ra. However, when Ti/ra pulled the Soul Edge fragment from her pocket and waved it about for Pyrrha, something changed. Pyrrha was in a trance momentarily, and once Ti/ra got closer, Pyrrha startled. She held her head, stumbling back and crying out in pain as the fragment throbbed and pulsated. It could sense Pyrrha's cursed blood, and was trying to resonate with the cursed power within her. Strange markings began to form on her hands, her veins becoming visible, and dark. Her skin turned pale, and Pyrrha thought she was going to die at any second.

At just the right time, CJ, who had already planned to come hang out with Pyrrha at her apartment, approached the building. She froze up when she heard Pyrrha's screams and cries of pain, rushing into the alleyway to see Ti/ra there, using the Soul Edge shard to try and take control of the other woman. CJ immediately darted in, shoving Ti/ra back and moving to tend to Pyrrha. She helped her, getting her out of the alleyway at the very least. But Ti/ra followed close, waving the fragment still and sweetly taunting Pyrrha, trying to woo her cursed heart into obeying the cursed power of Soul Edge, and Ti/ra herself, by proxy. Pyrrha collapsed once more, crying in agony, and at that point, CJ had enough. She turned to Ti/ra, moving in to fight the other woman. All CJ knew was that she had to get that shard out of Ti/ra's hands, and as far away from Pyrrha as possible. The two women jumped into battle, brawling one another in a war for the Soul Edge shard.

However... part way through, as the two women still kept each other equally matched and at bay, their battle screeched to an abrupt halt. Both women were sent off their feet when a huge explosion went off. From the ground, CJ looked back towards Pyrrha as she could hear her howl and shriek, terrified she was dying... and then she saw it. Dark, cursed energy coursed around Pyrrha, the young woman now transformed due to her cursed blood's interactions with the nearby Soul Edge shard. Ti/ra took advantage of CJ being distracted, darting to her feet and attacking her while she was down. As the now malfested Pyrrha came to her senses, her eyes landed on Ti/ra and CJ. Pyrrha watched as Ti/ra swung away at CJ, who was curled up trying to protect her head from the assault of punches... and something snapped in her. Seeing her best friend in danger like this, knowing that Ti/ra was back to ruin the happiness she'd finally found... she felt an incurable rage. She wouldn't let Ti/ra take away her happiness. Nobody would be allowed to take it away.

So, she charged at Ti/ra, her inhuman, blood-thirsty shrieks obliterating the night's calm as the malfested woman set her claws upon her target.
