It was one of the more heavy-handed reforms introduced by the Demon King, aka the Thrice-Sworn King, aka the Crowned Assassin, aka Kormwind Arachis Felbourne Whitekeep, ninth of the name. Kosh to all of his friends. He had conquered Lithonesse just to make it.

It was a dull grey fortification full of dull grey aesthetics, and a general implication that this was a prison. You might get out if your behaviour was good enough. It was guarded by stern soldiers and populated by a special kind of person.

King Kormwind of Whitekeep had sworn three times to protect the innocent. This was how he was to guarantee that.

Simultanément à la disparition de Shawbridge, on apprenait qu'un détenu de l'Institut Saint-Antoine avait pris la clef des champs vers les 4 heures, hier après-midi. Le disparu est âgé de 15 ans et pèse 150 livres et mesure 5 pieds et 11 pouces. A la nouvelle école de la rue Sherbrooke-est, les autorités sont actuellement sans nouvelles de ce fugitif.

Two students and a superintendent at the Brooklyn Training School & Home for Young Girls (also known as the Protestant Problem Girls School), 1483 Pacific Street, 1923.

Despite the alternate name, the school was anything but a Dickensian horror house. It admitted girls between the ages of 14 and 21 who would otherwise be out on the street or in dire straits, and gave them a general education and training for work as maids or housekeepers (anything else required advanced education). There were many such schools for boys, but this one, opened in 1889, was the first one for girls. Admission was originally voluntary, but soon courts began sending girls there who got into trouble with the law. It closed in 1949.

French TV journalist having a hard time trying to get woman in the street to comment on Macron's latest speech yesterday

Protesters organised casserolades (aka banging on pots and pans) in front of city halls across the country at 8pm, when Macron was speaking, to symbolically drown out his voice. Later that evening, Macron was filmed singing a song with some 'random people' in a street in Paris, trying to show he can go out and meet people and have fun because protesters don't exist. The people he was singing with (members of a choir, some of whom are 'alt-right-leaning') were using a folk song app created by far-right activists that was criticised a few months ago for hosting a Spanish fascist anthem & Third Reich military marches.

The government's response was that the President "couldn't know the background of the people he met that night." Maybe if he wants to avoid being associated with the far-right (that's a big if, I know), Macron should keep in mind that with the kinds of strategies and positioning his government has adopted lately, people in the street who welcome him with open arms and are proud to be filmed with him have a higher than average likelihood of supporting fascism.
