Okay so ppl have been making theories for what happens to the boys, and I feel like we haven't gotten a ton for our boy Mikey. I'm a dumbass but I'll give it a shot lol.

Baji couldn't help but tear up at the sight... (Name) being carried away on a stretcher, unconscious and bleeding. Every time he closed his eyes that's all he could see, the events replaying in his mind. Kazutora running at him, (Name) protecting him, (Name) falling unconscious, Kazutora being arrested, (Name) on a stretcher. Always on loop in his mind. Even as he sat in the hospital room, holding (Name)s warm hand in his. Warm. That's right. He's alive, he's okay.

Baji pressed (Name)'s hand to his face, feeling guilt well up in his chest. He placed a gentle kis on the other's knuckles, silently praising and thanking the unconscious boy. He's been unconscious for two days, the doctor's said it might take a while for him to wake up. Baji's heart stopped for a second as he remembered it. (Name) might not wake up, he went brain dead for almost nine seconds. Even just nine seconds could have sever repercussions, he might not even remember who he is anymore. Tears swelled up in Baji's eyes, his body trembling a she choked back sobs. "I'm so sorry..."

This continued. Daily he could visit (Name) thanking and praising him as he lie unconscious. Even when he wasn't at the hospital he was constantly thinking of him. All he wanted to do was hug and kiss his savoir, thank him in any way he could. All he wanted was for his friend to wake up, he wanted to tell him that he loved him.

Baji bit back tears as he zoned out in class, his eyes tired and unfocused. Teacher's were informed of the incident by Baji's mother, none of them really being hard on the boy. It's not easy having a friend in the hospital, hell it's not easy at all when that friend was stabbed by one of your most trusted friends. He rubbed his face, rubbing away the tears as thoughts welled up in his mind.

It was a shock to reality when the final bell dinged, Baji jumping out of his seat and running out of the classroom as soon as he heard the sound. He needed him. He needed to see him.

"Kei-Kun...?" Baji's heart shattered a little as he entered (Name)'s room, seeing the other awake and we'll ment everything to him. He couldn't hold back anymore, tears streaming down his face as he pulled (Name) into a tight hug; mumbling incoherently.

"Kei! It's okay, I'm okay! Calm down alright?" (Name) reassured with a smile, petting the other's silky black hair. Baji pulled away, his face tear stained and snotty. (Name) sighed and grabbed a few tissues from the bed side table, gently whiling his friend's face. "God, you're always such a messy crier... I'm glad you came to visit me."

"I'm so so so so sorry!" Baji cried out, making (Name) freeze. He blinked hard, scanning the other's face.

"You don't have to-" Baji was quick to cut him off.

"I'm so sorry! You got hurt because of me- I... I didn't know what to do! I thought you wouldn't wake up, I was so scared of losing you. I thought I would never be able to tell you that I loved you- or- or hug you again!" He spat out, spilling out all of his worries and grievances without any stopping. Infact he said more than just that paragraph, but all of it was an unintelligible mess of sobs.

"Kei... Shh it's okay." (Name) whispered, holding Baji's head against his chest. Slowly his sobs turned to quiet sniffles as he listened to the rhythmic sound of (Name)'s heart. Baji let out a shaky breath as he nuzzled into his friend.

"Keisuke?" Baji hummed quietly, glancing up at (Name) with reddened eyes. (Name) gently wiped away the stray tears with a loving smile. "You love me?" Baji's heart stopped. He actually said it.

"Yeah..." He whispered out, his voice cracking a little as he sniffed. (Name) smiled brightly, his cheeks burning a pale pink. He gently held the other's tear stained face in his. Hesitantly he leaned down and planted a kiss on Baji's forehead.

Everything was a blur, blasters shooting past you, the sound of metal against metal ringing through your skull, everything was happening all at once and you could barely focus on anything five feet in front of you.

You glanced around, seeing each one of your brother's in their own fight, and you quickly tried to focus back on your own.

Fishface stood in front of you, his mechanical legs whirring with his large imposing steps. He looked confident, like he knew you were having trouble with the chaos of the battle around you. It made your stomach twist in fury.

You growled at the fellow mutant, raising your weapons and charging at him quickly, he simply grinned in response, moving out of the way at the last moment, bringing you face to face with none other than Shredder himself.

You panicked, trying to backtrack but it was too late. The sound his blades made when they hit your plastron, at full force mind you, was loud and sickening.

You blinked, looking down at Shredder's fist right up against your stomach, no blades to be seen. But that could only mean-

He pulled his arm back, and you felt every inch of his blades leave your body. There a was a scream, your scream maybe? You weren't sure, everything was hazy all of a sudden.

Shredder put his hand on your head, looking you in the eyes before pushing you backwards, making you land heavily on your shell.

You needed to get up, get help, get your brothers, Donnie, Leo, Raph, Mikey. You needed to at least call for someone, anyone.

But when you opened your mouth only blood came flowing up. Internal bleeding, you recognized through the pain induced haze.

How fun.

Raph and Mikey were busy with Rocksteady when it happened. Double teaming on the large rhino with ease. Really these guys were pathetic.

Raph kicked Rocksteady off balance, glancing over to Mikey to say something, but he froze when he saw the haunted expression on his little bro's face. He furrowed his eyebrows, turning quick to where Mikey was facing, and almost had a heart attack.

There you were, Shredder's claws deep in your stomach, piercing through your practically shattered plastron. He watched in stunned silence as Shredder pulled his claws from your body, blood gushing out of the wound. That was what brought him back to reality.

He turned to Shredder, seeing nothing but red. He couldn't come up with any insults, nor quips, he was too focused on his sudden need to rip Shredder limb from limb.

He just screamed, screamed in fury and anguish as he rushed forward, sais out as he lunged at Shredder, and collided with Fishface.

Fine? This bastard wanted a fight? Now he had one.

Mikey jumped into action as soon as Raph did, seemingly kickstarted by his brother's scream.

He rushed over to you, dropping to his knees as he called for your older brothers. They'd know what to do, they always did, they were always so smart and Mikey- Mikey couldn't think past the idea of you, his little brother, his best friend, dying in front of him.

He couldn't fathom a world without you in it, he'd be missing a peice of himself without you there, he couldn't lose you yet!

"LEO! DONNIE! HELP! HELP HELP- HE NEEDS HELP-!"

Leo was hyperfocused on his fight, trying to keep Tigerclaw out of the way from the others. He was so preoccupied he didn't even realize Shredder had shown up. God he was so stupid.

He only realized something was wrong when Mikey yelled, sounding the most terrified he'd ever been in his life.

Instantly Leo was on high alert, spinning around as quick as he could and rushing to where he had heard Mikey shout from, "Mikey! What-"

Holy shit.

Holy shit.

Leo froze in place, staring down at your shuddering form, watching as your breathing slowed, as blood dripped from your mouth and the gaping hole in your shattered plastron.

He heard Mikey shout at him, begging and pleading with him to do something, anything, but he couldn't take his eyes away from your broken and shattered form.

You were dying. You were dying and he was frozen in place, unable to do anything but stare.

His whole body trembled as Mikey continued to yell and sob, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't think, his entire body shut down in an instant, and he could only stare.

"Leo! Leo cmon please! Say something, anything dude please!" Donnie heard Mikey beg as he rushed forward.

He heard their screams, and mentally prepared himself for the worst. But once he saw you, he too froze for a moment, glancing at you, Mikey, and finally Leo, recognizing that there was no one here level headed enough to bark orders.

He hesitated, before realizing if you had any chance of survival, it was him.

"..M..Mikey- Mikey! I need you to pick him up, gently so you don't jostle his plastron. We need to get him home, we can't help him here!" Donnie exclaimed, voice shaking as he took charge in place of his brother.

Mikey looked up at Donnie, nodding once and reaching down to pick you up, as gentle as he could possibly be with you.

Donnie grabbed Leo's arm and dragged him away with Mikey, yelling behind him for Raph.

"Raph! Retreat! Lair!" He shrieked, hoping that his brother heard him, before the three of them made their way down to the sewers, some more carefully than others.

Hours later, all five brothers were home. Donnie and Mikey were with you in the lab, frantically trying help you in any way they could, while Leo and Raph had been deemed too emotionally unstable to even be near the room.

Raph was at his punching bag, throwing swing after swing, trying not think about the way your plastron cracked underneath Shredder's blades, or the vacant look in your eyes as you fell backwards.

He shook his head and punched the bag harder. Too much. All too much. He needed to do something, anything.

He glanced over at Leo, slumped down on the sofa, staring at the turned off TV in front of him.

It would be so easy to grill Leo right now. Truly there was so much he could say. Why did you freeze? Why didn't you say anything? Why are you forcing Donnie to pick up your slack?

But every time the words rose to his throat, he saw the haunted look in his older brother's eyes, the pure fear and horror painted clear as day on his face, and he held himself back, punching the words out silently into his punching bag.

Leo was still reeling, stuck on the empty vacant stare you had as you lay shattered on the ground. But now there was the guilt. Why hadn't he moved? Why didn't he come up with a plan? Why did it take Donnie literally dragging him down the streets of New York for him to even somewhat come to his senses. God, he was a horrible leader, a horrible brother- why did he let this happen to you-

A familiar voice cleared their throat behind him, and Leo felt every molecule in his body tense up in fear. He turned slowly, seeing Master Splinter stood tall behind him, with Raph cowering just a bit away.

"Leonardo. Raphael." He addressed both brothers, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What happened on patrol this evening."

Leo shared a look with Raph, who only offered a nervous frown.

He took a deep breath and stood on shaking legs, facing his sensei and bowing his head. "..m..Master Splinter.. we.. there was.. an ambush. We were ambushed. There were too many villains.. and.. we got separated.." Leo tried to focus on his breathing, and not the looming presence of his sensei in front of him.

"..he.. Shredder.. he was there and.. and.." he couldn't say it, he couldn't say it, if he said it he'd relive it all over again he couldn't say it-

"Donnie and Mikey are in the lab with him. He's.. badly injured sensei." Raph mumbled from a little bit away, and Leo let out a sigh, grateful for the interruption.

Splinter glanced between his two sons, slowly working out what they were implying. Once he realized what had happened, he felt a cold stab of fear straight through his heart. Of course. Of course it would be you. His youngest. Of course he would go after you first.

Without another word Splinter rushed to Donatello's lab, gasping lightly at your state. Oh. Oh no.

He wasted no time in joining his two sons in attending to you, luckily they were too preoccupied with you that they didn't even question the extra help.

OKAY SO! end of season 3 right, all is well, then some alien dinosaur shows up (he's a tricerton. im not spelling it right but idc) and he beats up the mutanimals (ninja turtles friends) and so raph goes after him, tames him ig??? and then dino dude is all "there are KRAANG ON YOUR PLANET" and the turtles are like "lol we got rid of them like 15 episodes ago keep up" but decide the humor dino man anyways EVEN THOUGH HE BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA THEIR FRIENDS??? LIKE OKAY UH SURE ANYWAYS WE'RE GONNA GLOSS OVER THAT- hey btw where did u say the kraang were again??? not that we're worried but yk just in case.....okay yeah can u take us there okay yeah cool thanks

so dino man takes them to where the kraang are hiding out (i think t was the technodrome?? idk its been like a week since i finished s3 but im pretty sure they were in the technodrome. ANYWAYS) dino man takes them there, they beat up some kraang, if u listen closely you'll hear me yelling over leo's fighting style. i just think he's neat, and then they find out that the kraang are doing smth or another at the statue of liberty, so THEN dino dude is like "WE GOTTA DESTROY THE BEACON." so the turtles are like ok CHILL we're doing that rn, cue more fighting with the kraang (WHO ARE ALL TERRIFIED BY DINO DUDE BTW. BC HIS SPECIES IS LIKE THE SWORN ENEMY OF THE KRAANG. THEY ARE NOT BESTIES)

then plot twist, after the kraang retreat, the dino dude is like "i also have to destroy your planet now bc u humans suck ass and also there are kraang everywhere lol there's nothing u can do to stop this" and the turtles (raph specifically, THAT WAS HIS DINO PAL MAN) are like hey wait lets talk this over we JUST saved this fucking planet wdym you're gonna blow us up and then dino dude is like oh im not blowing u up we're just gonna activate a black hole and get rid of this whole galaxy.

the turtles do not like this

so raph is EPIC and destroys the beacon (but not before it signals the rest of the dino army but they don't know that until the next episode rip) oh and also dino dude falls off the statue of liberty and dies

next ep!! the kraang have reassembled and are loading up the technodrome, the turtles gear up to take them down again, then the rest of the dino dude army shows up, shit goes south real quick, mikey gets captured and the others almost get vaporized and leo gets to fly a spaceship again, they rescue mikey piss of the dino general dude meet this AWESOME KRAANG GUY WHO I LOVE his name is agent bishop and i love him, and then they gather all their friends for an epic season finale boss fight to stop the dino dudes from black hole-ing the planet (they get shredder involved too. it's awful. i hate him)

so they're all fighting and stuff, trying to stop the dino army for setting up the black hole thing, AND THEY ALMOST WIN. BUT LIKE I SAID. THEY ENLISTED THE FUCKING SHREDDER. AKA "I HAVE NEVER LET ANYTHING GO EVER. I STUBBED MY TOE ONCE AND NOW I HAVE A PERSONAL BEEF WITH FUNITURE." so shredder does what shredder does best and LITERALLY stabs splinter in the back while he was going to shut off the black hole portal thing. like the bitch he is. and the turtles are like "WHAT THE FUCK." and then the portal is activated and the earth is sucked into a black hole and the turtles are just SITTING THERE holding their dead dad as the world is ending but at the last second a SHIP shows up and this robot (FUGITOID. I LOVE HIM. i know he does something in this season that pisses the turtles off but i forgot what it is) shows up and is like "COME IF YOU WANT TO SURVIVE"

and so they do and fugitoid zooms them away to the relative safety of space and does some time rewind thing that sets them 6 months in the past so that they can now find the black hole portal parts which are scattered across the galaxies before the dino army does and stop them from destroying the earth again and THAT. THAT MY LOVE. is why they are in space.

finished the first season of 2013 tmnt (as someone who’s only seen Rise) and I would like to share my thoughts (in the form of a list bc i suck at organizing my thoughts otherwise)

Humor: The show’s jokes def land less often than Rise, at least for me, but I can still appreciate the humor and a lot of jokes DO work (even tho I already saw the submarine scene as a clip before I started watching the actual show, the punchline still got me).

Animation: Obviously not as pretty and some of the models (cough - April - cough) weird me out but the turtle bros look super cute and everything still looks nice

Plot: I do enjoy how plot-focused 2012 is most of the time. Like Rise’s foreshadowing is UNPARALLELED but 2012 def has a much more focused narrative

Characters:

April: She’s like. Fine. She has some pretty funny lines and I was cheering for her when she went after Splinter during the finale but she just isn’t as fun as April in Rise (in my opinion). From what I’ve heard she gets way worse in later seasons but for now she’s perfectly decent. She looks super weird tho like what is she wearing, why is it literally skintight, and why is her mouth so tiny

Raph: LOVE HIM. ADORE HIM. HES SO MEAN AND SILLY. He’s also the most reasonable turtle on the team like I can’t tell u how many times I yelled smth at the screen and Raph said the same exact thing right after. Short angry boi my beloved (I do wish he was slightly less mean to Mikey but they’re ALL disproportionately mean to Mikey so I think I need to take that up with whatever writer had a vendetta against orange boy)

Mikey: SPEAKING OF ORANGE BOI. He’s very silly I like him a lot. ngl sometimes he deserves the bullying but the show DEFINITELY did him dirty. Wish he got to be actually competent more often. Pretty sure there’s nothing going on in his head and I love him for that

Leo: he is such a NERD I love it. What a dork. Raph is correct for bullying him he’s very bullyable (affectionate). Wish his mask didn’t look exactly like Donnie’s in most lighting but eh what can u do. Also MY GUY. CAN WE TALK ABOUT YOUR SAVIOR COMPLEX. GET THIS BOY A THERAPIST. (Side note but the tv show he watches is literally the funniest part of 2012 every time it shows up I know there’s about to be a hilarious joke)

Donnie: I wanted to love him. I did. But I underestimated how much of his character would be just… him being a simp. NOT THAT I DISLIKE HIM I DONT. He’s very funny and has a nerd voice and MUCH autistic swag but like. DANG so much of the stuff with him pining after April is straight up uncomfortable

Splinter: HISSSS HISSSSSS HISSSS. RISE SPLINTER WOULD NEVER. CRUSTY OLD MAN WITH HIS GROSS STRAGGLY BEAR I WANT TO SIC A GIANT CAT ON HIM. HE GIVES RATS A BAD NAME. EVERY TIME HE’S ONSCREEN I AM FILLED WITH IMMEASURABLE RAGE. STOP BEATING UP YOUR SONS FOR NO REASON CHALLENGE - IMPOSSIBLE. HE’S SO MEAN TO THE TURTLES AND SHOWS SUCH BLATANT FAVORITISM TO APRIL I WANT TO BITE HIM AND SHAKE HIM LIKE A CHEW TOY. the flower pattern on his robes is cute tho

Karai: She’s pretty cool ngl. I enjoy her she’s the most interesting thing about the foot clan/shredder. Wish Leo wasn’t constantly trying to get with her (especially with the whole… Sister thing). Her makeup’s nice and her armor’s cool. She’s so mean for no reason and I love her for that. Rip gram-gram but 2012 Karai is a lot more fun

Krang: uhhhh they’re fine I guess. Nowhere near as intimidating as in Rise but ig that’s to be expected. Their speech patterns are pretty annoying but sometimes the jokes with them are really funny so I don’t mind too much. Krang prime was a disappointment tho ngl. It looked like a mix between the aliens from Home (the animated movie) and the villain from Sharkboy and Lava Girl. 2012 has managed to make some pretty intimidating characters (Leatherhead and Shredder for example) but Krang Prime was kinda stupid lol. That might just be a problem with this season tho I guess I’ll see

Shredder: ngl I don’t give a single crap about this guy. He’s just… an old man. A dude. The scariest part about him (other than his design which quite honestly DOES kick ass) is that he’s an incel. He’s a jerk and intimidating but other than that not super interesting.

Baxter Stockman: Look idc if he’s not important he’s important in my heart. He’s a loser with extremely petty motivations and I love him and his stupid little sweater vest. Rise definitely managed to capture that same petty energy with Stockboy but I think Stockman kinda wins out bc we have more time with him than with Stockboy. Stupid man <3

Ok and that’s pretty much the main stuff so here’s some minor nitpicks/thoughts:

Sorry Rise but the 2012 theme song SLAPS I listen to it EVERY time

Hate how the turtles’ skill levels are super inconsistent from episode to episode depending on what lesson the show wants them to learn

DONNIE WHAT IS YOUR STAFF MADE OUT OF????? WHY DOES IT SNAP SO OFTEN THERE’S NO WAY THAT THING IS MADE OF A HARD WOOD LIKE A BO STAFF IS SUPPOSED TO. I swear splinter’s setting him up for failure

Can’t speak too much on the combat bc I know essentially nothing about martial arts but I do miss the creativity of Rise’s fight scenes. It really does feel like the turtles use the same moves in every fight in 2012

i just finished the last the bear episode…..wow so many thoughts they ate truly wow like the bear is just so fucking good. yeah i had to skip the claire scenes because it was just SO boring. syd and carmy have that chemistry and connection i rlly hope this is a slowburn type of situation because i can really see the two of them together. also i love marcus but not with syd. really wish the writers didn't give marcus the unrequited love trope with syd because they genuinely work better as friends encouraging each other rip. hope the next season sees them working better together as friends bc i love marcus he deserves the world.

RICHIE RICHIE RICHIE HIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!! he just wants a place to belong and i think he's been trying to carve that little space out for himself whether that be in the bear family or the restaurant or literally his OWN family....i get why he was so defensive over carmy coming and changing everything in the restaurant....it meant that he'd be the odd one out again. he'd be displaced and forced to find another place to belong. so so glad he came through in the end with all the orders. i hope the restaurant finally makes him content!! also richie screaming to love story in the car HE'S SO REAL.

while not every semi side character had the spotlight this season i think this season rlly did tina and marcus soooo good. loved seeing tina flourish and come into her own a chef. her smile....so lovely. i loved seeing marcus in coppenhagen like will poulter should NOT be looking that fine kneading bread. but somehow.

but like i said i simply did not care about the claire scenes i literally would have taken any other character getting screen time especially since carmy broke up with her anyway. would've loved seeing more syd and her dad tbh.

im so glad this season finally elaborated on the dysfunctional bear family and shed a little more light on micheal and the person he was. i was clinging to the edge of my SEAT watching that fork scene. honestly i don't think carmy has OCD i think that man has PTSD fjnskdfjsdk like all that verbal abuse from working at the number one restaurant in the world....it makes me think he was somehow seeking the dysfunctional aspects of his household and almost finding comfort in the abuse in his dynamics with the head chef(???) dude. especially since we see carmy unwittingly replicating those very same dynamics in the kitchen with syd and then even in the freezer screaming at richie the same exact abuse that head chef told him. he's useless he's a waste of space etc. but richie choosing to respond with kindness and telling him he loves him.....wow....it was such a touching moment to see and i say that genuinely considering richie also yells at him about how carmy can't let himself be happy. it says so much that carmy himself says that he shouldn't seek amusement or enjoyment which im sure speaks to larger issues than just his self esteem issues. i rlly hope the next season does a deep dive into carmy's family and the dynamics of his relationship with micheal and his mother!!!! i definitely think there's something coming with that considering how sugar is going to become a mother soon and how their mother showed up to the restaurant but left out of guilt.

🏠: the lair is pretty cramped, and a hodgepodge of whatever the boys can find. splinter's bedroom is so small it could be considered a closet, but the boys have plenty of room. there's also a kitchen/dining room, an open area used as the living room, donnie's lab, and the training/sparring room.

🗣️: leo is not and has never been the leader. there was a time where it was a possibility, but he turned it down since he didn't think he was deserving of it and was afraid that if he tried to lead his brothers he'd fail them or they'd all realise he was secretly worse than them

🩹: raph is! medicine and biology are one of the few things he ever rlly got into

🧑‍🍳: mikey, and by a wide margin. he originally learned from splinter, but quickly surpassed him in terms of skill. i've got smth in the works right now involving him cooking a bunch of stuff for donnie's thirteenth birthday!

🍍: raph and donnie... they both love sweet things and that does include on pizza. leo thinks it's a disgrace, mikey is neutral, and splinter is allergic.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack (1988) Utterly obvious to die girlies auf tumblr but don’t worry, it’s the only franchise gatekeepy one. God tier animation, OST that gives me heart palpitations, plot symbolically rich in a way that draws me back. Absurdly ambitious and largely pulls it off. Insane. Phantom of the Paradise (1974) I’m a sucker for leitmotifs being re-contextualized and this movie is exactly that. I think a lotta people are put off by musicals because they expect Glee shit, so a horror rock opera that plays w genres is a style that slaps. In fact, it’s style over substance to the point that while the character Beef was made with homophobic intent(?), he makes for killer camp. So influential it buried its own grave deeper, but when my drag career continues proper I WILL have it step out of RHPS’s shadow. Magnetic Rose (1995) This one’s arguably cheating, it’s a short film within a theatrical omnibus and the only one of the trio I rewatch, lol. Better experienced than described, but iirc it’s the first screenplay credit of Satoshi Kon and his style benefits the conceit greatly. The space physics are top tier too. Bound (1996) Genre fiction that fucks. Akira (1988) After watching this for the first time, I wore a rip of it on a USB necklace for like a good month, lol. If you’ve seen so many homages and #aesthetic gifs that its memetically weakened, the manga will be a better vehicle for experiencing the actual plot and themes. (Kaneda isn’t a cool protag! He’s not even in it for a full volume!) But I fortunately got to go into it w next to no preconceptions. Tampopo (1985) One of those art-house pics that’s fun to general audiences. I wouldn’t watch it with young kids or new friends tho given the prawn scene, lmao. The Terminal (2004) Not a masterpiece by anyone’s standards, but it was my fav for years as a child and I’ve been told “thats so you” or “that explains so much” lmao. I still do love seeing how peoples values and coping mechanisms materially shape their world, so, fair! As an adult, i think Tucci’s character holds up the best, his tone is comedically sound while being realistically mundane for an american authoritarian, lol. Funeral Parade of Roses (1969) A breath of fresh air in style and substance. It’s like a vaccine against MCU sludge. God I need to watch more new wave. The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970) Again, former obsessions here, not necessarily top quality. The first vignette is the only one that sticks with me, but boy does it! Gold standard for any fanfiction or diagetic media criticism. Mikey and Nicky (1976) Ough. Love me a good tragedy. This one manages to hit so hard it even overcomes Peter Falk being styled (‘styled’) like Columbo—italian accent and all— while playing a jewish gangster lol.) You know that post about how the more serious and well made a story is, the more likely its fandom makes unhinged memes? That’s me every time I make a “full of milk” joke abt this movie or realize it’s fundamentally changed my experience of taking antacids.

Anyways please note that i’ve structured this list so that the first and last entries form a niche parallel. That is to say, a personal fav scene in both Mikey & Nicky and CCA is where the lead guys fistfight and tumble onto the ground in a blur of violence-as-latent-homoeroticism.
