Head Canon: Tokyo Manji School - TR boys as school teachers and staff.

Native language/Literature: CHIFUYU

He has OCD for spelling and punctuation. Forget one dash or a comma in your essay, and he'll lower your grade by two. Misspell something, and congrats, you failed the subject. Forces his students to read romance novels, but otherwise a nice teacher.

Foreign language 1: RAN

Thinks he's cool, but is actually a shitty teacher, tries to make up for it with charisma. Kids love him because he never gives homework, or any kind of actual work, really. If you're serious about learning a foreign language, just transfer to another class, or school, even better.

Foreign language 2: IZANA

Cannot transfer knowledge to save his life! Even tho he's super skilled himself, unlike Ran. Psychotic and scary, will scream at the kids for wrong answers, or throw pens and chalk at them if they talk during lectures. It's a miracle how he even passed the psychiatric check in order to be accepted to work with children.

Homeroom: MITSUYA

Best and kindest HR teacher ever! Period. Will resolve any student dispute with a smile, but everyone knows he can be scary if pissed off, so they tend to be on their best behavior. He passionately hates parent-teacher conferences tho, especially with those obnoxious, unreasonable parents! That's where the former delinquent in him itches to come to the surface!

Math: KISAKI

He's actually pretty good at his job, which is explanainig shit and transferring knowledge. His classes may be boring, there's lot of homework, and he doesn't care about his students in the slightest, so he's far from students' favorite, but his lectures are useful.

Physics: SMILEY

He enjoys lab experiments a bit too much, and stuff explodes or goes wrong a bit too often, but he just laughs it off, even if his hair is on fire, or he accidentally almost electrocuted himself with a Tesla coil. Ends up in the infirmary at least twice a week.

Chemistry: SANZU

Smells and licks lab substances to determine what they are, regardless of how unsafe it is. Can guess the exact formula of any mixture just by looking at it. Speaks very little and in quiet voice which makes him weird and borderline creepy. But he's an ok teacher. However, if you leave a mess in his lab, or don't wash and clean the lab utensils properly after use, prepare to meet your doom.

Biology: BAJI

Will bring animals to classroom! Especially their young. Strongly opposed to dissection, insectariums, and any other sort of animal cruelty! Will teach his students to protect the environment and to love animals. Sweetheart teacher no. 1, everyone loves him.

Sex Ed.: MIKEY

Will have the most disinterested, indifferent face ever while talking about STDs and stuff. Uses 48 positions as textbook. Recommended porn to his students on multiple occasions, until the headmaster heard of it, and then he stopped doing it officially, but will secretly deal porn goods to his male students when they ask him. He's super professional with female students tho, always answering any question they have seriously, and even flashing his trademark cute smile. You'd almost think he's two different people.

P.E.: DRAKEN

Ok, this lovable mofo takes sports a bit too seriously, his classes feel like military drills! Everyone's absolutely exhausted and barely breathing afterwards. He gives tough love, but he's kind to no end, so kids actually love him.

Music: SOUTH

You think music classes are supposed to be fun and easy?! Think again if your teacher is Terano Minami-sensei! And you better sing along in those singing practices, cause if he hears you slacking off, you might as well just say your prayers, cause you won't be very vivo by the end of the class!

Philosophy: WAKASA

Chill. Lowkey depressed. Doesn't grade a single paper, like, ever. Doesn't take attendance. Talks about anything and everything with his students, even his personal life, but always has a valuable point to make at the end of the story. Students confide in him, too, and go to him for life advice, which makes him nervous, but he lowkey enjoys the fact they rely on him.

Religion: TAIJU

PRAY, MOTHERFUCKERS!!! Ya better take your piety seriously and show your devotion, OR ELSE!

Art: KAZUTORA

Eccentric art teacher, the stereotype. Kind and gentle with his students tho, focuses more on nurturing their creativity than teaching them the art theories and history. All straight female students crush on him hard. He almost quit his job tho, when one asked him to pose naked for his painting.

History: INUPI

Petty bitch. If you don't know what that one historical figure he simps for ate for breakfast every day, or when the birthday of the dog of another historical figure that he simps for was, he'll give you an F. But good luck with figuring out which ones he doesn't simp for, or what random facts he doesn't think are of crucial importance!

Economy/Sociology/Politics: KOKO

Probably the most normal, balanced teacher in the school. He can be pretty strict, and will give an absolute shit ton of assignments (that he'll later regret deeply, when he has to pull all-nighters to grade), but he's actually really good at teaching and really knows what he's talking about, so his lectures are kinda interesting, even tho it's a boring subject. Some students like him, some don't, but everyone respects him, at least.

Headmaster: SHINICHIRO

Kind of an easygoing dork, will play with the kids in the schoolyard during breaks, or after classes, but rules with an iron fist when need be. It is extemely rare tho, cause everyone respects him for his kind and friendly nature.

School nurse: ANGRY

Caring and protective to a smothering level. Will insist you stay in the infirmary even for a simple paper cut. Has all sorts of colorful, funny band-aids, will let you choose whichever you like, as if it's a sticker. Tired of his brother constantly popping up with new injuries, tho.

School janitor: HANMA

School superstar! Will pretend to be on the stage, using the floor mop as a microphone, and do a weird, cringy dance down the school corridor while wiping it. Students LOVE him! Need a smoke? You just have to ask, he shares generously! Skipping a lecture? Hanma's got your back! Plotting a revenge on your bullies? You already know who to count on. All he asks in return is for you to spill the tea, so he literally has every single piece of nasty info on both teachers and students alike! Need to blackmail someone? Yeah, you got it.

What are your comic book/book/anime recommendations?

So I don't have much to say in the way of books or comic books sadly. It's been a hot minute since I've read much in the way of novels and short stories, though I've had some recommended to me, so we'll see how those go! I would love to put more words in my eyeballs.

Comic books I've just never really gotten much into outside of manga. Never really had friends that were into them (outside of superhero comics which didn't really interest me too much) and I tend not to involve myself in things on my own that much, it's more fun to have people to talk to about things.

Manga recs

I'll go ahead and spotlight 20th Century Boys. Not only is it unreasonably relatable right now (especially to readers in their upper 20s and above) it's just like, really well told, as a narrative. It's some of Urasawa's best storytelling I think. I'll obviously say to read most of Urasawa's works in general, but if you asked me to pin down one specific manga, 20th Century Boys is it.

Another manga I would recommend reading is Blue Period. It has an anime, but the anime only covers a very small part of the series and doesn't do it justice at all. Blue Period is a beautiful celebration of art and artists and what it means not to know your place in that world and it's so, so good for people who consider themselves creatives. Also it has some really fun character designs.

Lastly for manga I'll recommend Ajin! I can't think of another manga that I've read that has the same kind of glow up in its visual style. The first couple volumes aren't much to look at, but there's a very quick and noticeable uptick in quality that's very impressive to look at. It's worth checking out just for the artwork honestly.

Anime recs

It was really hard to pare down just a couple I think are exceptionally worth checking out, but I've tried to hit some of the best and most enjoyable series, at least for me. I've pared it down to five.

Mushi-Shi is perhaps my favourite anime overall, ever. It doesn't have a single episode or story beat I dislike, and it's got some of the most beautiful background work and soundtracks in anime, and some very smart, mature writing. It's episodic and easy to pick up at a random episode.

Mob Psycho 100 is one I feel like most folk already know of, but I'll put it on this list anyway because it's another near-perfect anime and has the benefit of being newer so it's especially shiny and has impressive animation to go with a very well told story.

Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor is a must watch and I wish people didn't judge it for the visual style! It's not a pretty show to watch but it's not meant to be. I would say it has a similar message to Monster with respect to being a bit of a social commentary, but it's a lot more cynical. The message of hope is there, but the world of Kaiji is much grittier and more ruthless. Squid Game wishes it had what Kaiji has.

Eureka Seven is my oldest, fondest love in anime. When I say no OST matches what eureka seven has I am being completely serious; literally nothing can match the sound that anime has. Also it's just an absolutely fantastic story about rebellion against an authoritarian government, fighting to protect the environment, has some of the most compelling romances in all of anime, and it just happens to be packaged in a mecha anime skin. It isn't what I would call a mecha anime, it just happens to involve big mech suits.

Ping Pong: The Animation is a mind blowing experience. It's a bit weird for a sports anime in that it doesn't feel like one. I can't say exactly why, because it does still follow a lot of the classic sports anime story beats, it just also throws in some unexpected narrative beats that make it especially unique. You're really watching Ping Pong for the actual animation, though. Trust me.

I have a lot more anime I could list honestly, there are a ton of really good ones that I didn't put on here, but these would be the top 5 I think people definitely need to check out.

I need advice and this blog seemed the place... I have some irl friends who are the fandomy type. They like to read fanfiction on ao3, like to ship things and headcanon characters as queer, the like. One of them at least also considers himself educated on politics, particularly left leaning politics. Generally we get along but there's one snag we keep hitting and it's in the pro shipper vs anti debate.

Thankfully my friends aren't full blown antis, at least most of them, but the rhetoric is similar. Any age gap is problematic and on one occasion (which I went ballistic over) they outright stated I needed mental help because I liked age gap relationships. I let them know this was absolutely not okay for them to say and they looked appropriately chastised but I felt like I was dealing with a child. As a problematic pro shipper, I also tend to like problematic characters.

For example, in the anime sk8 the infinity, there is a character who is violent and romantically comes on to a 17-18 year old. I could get into the whole religious aspect of that show and the plot and what not, but generally as far as anime goes this was extremely tame. It's a very stereotypical sports anime otherwise. The problem arises because I like this character, and one of my more prudish friends refuses to let me be about it. She calls him ugly whenever I mention liking him, a pedophile, has borderline called me a pedophile for liking him, and has called me crazy. This same girl was raised in a christian household and was put into a christian private school for most of her life, so I understand why she's more of the puritanical type, but at the same time she is queer and likes romance. I am queer and like romance. We could not be more different in how we approach those two aspects of our lives.

She's also the type of person to go always, and I mean always, go with the unproblematic (sometimes) guy that a story sets up in the beginning for a love triangle. Think that between Edward and Jacob she goes for Edward except for every single other piece of media she consumes.

Also, she doesn't consider herself educated on politics like the other guy, but somehow the both of them feel comfortable bringing up inherently political topics when it comes to this stuff? They mention abuse and sexuality in media as an anti typically does but their arguments are as flimsy as anti ones usually are, and they can never carry on a conversation of that sort with me for more than a sentence or two. When I bring up problematic aspects of media they enjoy and tell them they are bad people for enjoying it, they get obviously disheartened and scared. I tell them that that's how it feels but they forget the next day like it's nothing.

I really like these people when it comes to things that aren't fandom but I just can't put up with how rude they are. I wonder if someone ever taught them manners, or how to speak to people without being incredibly offensive. A lot of my other friends don't act this way even when gentle ribbing is concerned. They know when too far is too far. One of my friends doesn't even like queer media (not as in she hates it, just not her thing) and she is more polite to me when I want to talk about it than the others.

Do I just tell them to knock it off for good or keep slapping them back when they go to far? Is it even possible that I can teach them manners simply from stating boundaries?

With their kind, you probably need to be more explicit that it is a boundary. Express it as them violating a previously set boundary. Tell them you cannot hang out with people who constantly try to trigger you with unhealthy 'thoughtcrimes are real' fundie mindsets.

Basically, call them on forgetting the next day like it's nothing.

They don't get to both repeatedly hurt you and be your friend. They're trying to get away with it now because they think your beliefs are wacky and stupid and a minor part of you that you'll outgrow. Don't give them the moral high ground. They're being shitty friends.

There must be consequences for their actions (in the form of you staying away) or they will never take your complaints seriously.

I am not okay.

Listen, I don't usually get emotional over anime, especially not wacky anime like sk8 (that is not an insult, btw, I love sk8 for what it is). Maybe it's because I had a very emotional and exhausting 2021 so far but sk8 has quite literally been my comfort anime this whole year. And I expected it to get a little angsty like most sports anime. But I was not ready for the gut punch that was episode 9.

So I'm gonna rant about / process the whole thing under the cut (so spoilers, obv). Also, I'm using this as a scream-into-the-void kinda thing but feel free to comment your thoughts if you have any.

Alright first things first - I don't really care for renga. I do think they're super cute and I want to see them together and happy but over the last few years I get less and less drawn towards ships involving high schoolers. It's probably only natural, the farther I get from my school days the least interesting high school romances are getting. Therefore I don't have a lot of thoughts on them this episode. But their moment on the track was just so sweet? And so gay??

To get it out of the way: I hate Joe's skating style.

I wasn't really into the race between Joe and Langa, it felt like something they had to get out of the way to let the plot progress (and get to the Cherry/Adam race already).

I actually really like the route they seem to go with reki. It was set up as that trope of someone realising they're better suited for the support team instead of going to the front lines because they're surrounded by prodigies and while pretty good just not ... well, a genius. We saw it in how amazing the boards he makes are, we even got the "inspirational interview he by chance sees on tv". But this episode he clearly states - no, he does not want that. He wants to skate! Not being a genius be damned! And I think that's really neat iff they continue this correctly. I can see this going multiple ways - him achieving what he wants through hard work and not talent. Or even him not getting as amazing as the others AND THAT'S OKAY. Because that's not the important part, the important part isn't skill but fun.

Now about the big fish - the whole Kojiro/Kaoru/Ainosuke backstory and the Cherry vs. Adam race. Okay, let's see if I can organize my thoughts enough to form coherent sentences.

I am not used to canon lgbt characters in anime. I tend to not like most bl series because of their stereotypes and a lot of them have issues with portayal of consent and outside of those gay characters are so so rare. There are a few examples of course but it's pretty much always subtext.

Now, I know what we got here was also hardly more than subtext but hear me out. I was fully ready to read anything gay happening in this series as fujo fanservice and go on with my life. I had fun ready matcha blossom fics and scrolling through the tag but I expected literally nothing to come out of this. I was super surprised by the "Langa confessing to his mom" scene last week but was still prepared for it to be ignored or to be told "in a bff kinda way" later.

But somehow it feels like this episode crossed a boundary. I can't define why. But it feels too much to be fanservice-y anymore. When at the same time it still isn't canon. Not in an explicit way like I want.

Also, funfact - there is a post sitting in my drafts from last week. I didn't post it because I got distracted by other stuff but it said (paraphrased): a little angst-y headcanon but what if kaoru was actually in love with adam in the past. That's why he is so obsessed with skating against him. And him and kojiro are either already a couple and kojiro is worried he isn't over adam or ko is pining for him and doesn't think kaoru is reciprocating his feelings (and is right about it???). --- and this is pretty much literally what happened this episode???? I don't know how to process that, how am I supposed to feel about that?

And last but not least: For a long long time I haven't hated an antagonist in the way I hate Adam. I was already iffy about him in past episodes but more in a "oh look at this creep ha ha" kinda way. I hate his aesthetic and his whole drama schtick and I am super creeped out by the way he treats langa. And when we got a bit of his backstory last episode I was like - I get it. I will not forgive his actions, I still want to see him in jail but I get it. But again, I feel like he has crossed a line this episode. This may be a very personal line for me but I just got so genuinely angry at him and I don't know what to do with this emotion. Especially since I am about 90% sure adam won't have to answer for his actions in the way I want him to. I am just so disgusted and angry with his character and his actions and knowing it will not be handled like I want it in-universe.

I don't want Langa or Reki to skate against him I don't want to give him the satisfaction and I want those kids as far away from him as they possibly can be. I want Kaoru and / or Kojiro to deck him in the fucking face, I want him to know this is not fucking okay, I want him to suffer and rot in jail without ever touching a skateboard again. (And if he has to lose a race I still want it to be against cherry as my baby deserves.) And I want matcha blossom happy in each others arms, kaoru healing from his feelings and disappointment in adam. I want everyone to be as happy as possible except for fucking adam. FUCK.

~hi, sorry this is my first time doing a match-up, hope I'm not disturbing or anything.

I'm a Demisexual/bisexual human being (lol sorry) of 1,63 m (5' 4'' I think), I go by she/her/they/them pronoums and my soul trait is kindness with a bit of patience.

I'm usually a quiet person unless there is something that caughts my interest and that can variate from a new anime with controvertial morals to a cursed image.

My hobbies are drawing (wow how original), finding meaning of everything (from flowers to tattoos and constellations) and I do Freestyle slalom skating as sport.

I'm more of an inside person, I'm okay with going out with friends but there are days where I just can't go out and prefer to stay alone in my room all day.

I really care about my friends since they're like family to me, I'm pretty chill and have no filter around them, I especially like to fluster some of the most naive with casual talks about sex education.

I'm not really good with talking in general so I have this thing of showing my love with little gestures or sending them memes and cursed images when they least espect It👀.

I'm not very good on dealing with crying, like what is okay in this situation? Are they okay with touching? Should I hug? Pat pat? At that I just shut down and offer a shoulder to cry on, those situations usually ends in laughter because I'm really awkward and an empathetic crier.

I suffer from bilingual struggles sometimes like when I don't know an English word I freak out because it only comes to me in Italian or when I'm talking in my mother language It happens that I find easier to say a sentence in English and stand there like "pls understand what I'm trying to say I don't know how to tell you in other ways".

Some of my other strenghts can be that I'm open minded and I always ask for consent before doing anything.

I have lots of weakness like: my awful memory, I'm a lot self critical and private, I tend to just bottle up my emotions until they explode without control and sometimes I just get overwhelmed by my insecurities.

I also suffer because of my anxiety and asthma (just sligthy no worries).

I can't take conflits between two friends, I'm really ashamed of this because I become a complete crybaby and just shut down for then feeling useless and weak because that's the only thing I can do.

As for odd habits, I sometimes have random tics that is a one movement that resemble the one you do when playing maracas, I bite my nails (I'm trying to stop but it's really hard) and when I'm exausted I just inspire and do a little cry that resemble a "NYAH!" (I know I know XD).

I have never been in a relationship but in one I think trust would be everything for me and a big no no would be all that soulmate/meant by destiny talk, I don't believe in that stuff and it's a big turn off, bad experience wouldn't recommend.

Sans has a thing for giving his SOs nicknames. I could see him calling you top! One: because you spin like a top when you skate. Two: because you seem to be trying to face every direction at once, your interests vary. And three: because it’ll have all the pervs out there second guessing it lol

a while back people requested that i share some of my headcanons for certain bnha characters, so here's some of the characters that i did

Shota Aizawa

- he absolutely has at LEAST 3 cats, he spoils the heck out of them too. that's why he's always eating those gel packs... he spends too much on his cats.

- he really does love his class. and we all know honey??? u haven't expelled any of them. ur soft for them ok.

- he likes to sleep with his cats bc he gets lonely at night... he will not admit it, but he likes having someone/something there :)

- he has reuccuring nightmares about the usj attack and how he could have failed to save his students

- has a very low alcohol tolerance and often ends up getting dragged back to his apartment by mic or midnight when they go out whilst he rambles and whines the entire time

- he hates crying and tries his best to keep his emotions held in, he's only cried in front of a select few people

- he tries not to let others opinions on him rule his life and tends to block it out if someone hates him

- he doesn't know it, but he is the entirety of class 1-a's dad.

- he really likes tea, and dislikes sweets

- as you would expect, he takes his coffee black

Hanta Sero

- he really likes kpop! he stans multiple groups and really wants to attend a concert

- though he seems really chill on the outside, he's actually quite sensitive and has some self confidence issues

- he loves being around people and finds that he gets his energy from being around those he loves

- definitely into e-boy fashion, and he is open about it

- pierced his own ears at 3 am and called kaminari crying about how he screwed it up

- he actually likes to draw a lot in his free time, it's very relaxing. he puts on some nice low-fi music and draws for hours

- he hasn't had many crushes in his life and doesn't find romance to be a big issue currently, but he's open to anything

- accidentally taped his hamster to the ceiling in 2nd grade, he didn't mean to and cried for hours (the hamster was ok)

Nemuri Kayama

- she is a BRO, she likes to crack a cold one open with the boys on the weekends

- she is bisexual and thinks everyone is beautiful in their own unique ways

- most likely talks shit about her coworkers to her classes

- she thinks children are adorable and loves them, often scaring them with her enthusiasm

- very touchy, she loves hugs and will probably not pass up a chance to use you as an armrest if she has the chance

- she secretly worries about aizawa a lot and is scared that he lets the past effect him too much

- did you guys know she has a cat?!

- i like to think she and mic are like... EPIC bros, she loves to paint his nails and do his hair while gossiping with him (aizawa would NEVER let her do this to him lmao)

- she isn't a mom, but finds the idea of having her own children very nice, for now having a cat will suffice

- she enjoys trying to make all might flustered, she thinks his reactions to things are always very cute and funny (it's all in good fun!)

- she's the mom friend! though she may seem very sexual, which she undoubtedly is, she is also very caring and has a very nuturing motherly personality, she's a lot more than just fanservice !!!!!

Todoroki Shoto

- completely oblivious when it comes to love... he doesn't even understand his own crushes

- "of course you can borrow my credit card uraraka" *pulls out endeavors card which he sneakily took*

- would be the person to tell a child that their pet guinea pig didn't go to heaven and be confused when they start sobbing... like "what... don't be honest?"

- allows his friends to huddle up to his warm side when they are cold

- is confused when people show him copious amounts of love and affection

- he would beat up anyone if they tried to do ANYTHING bad to midoriya

- he wants more friends. he really is enjoying meeting new people and having some new friends at ua!

- he gives really good hugs, he doesn't try to hug you too tight, but he doesn't half ass it either, very nice and warm

- he hates his scar. like. a lot. he wants to cover it up so bad but it just doesn't work. he's afraid it'll make other people scared of him.

Shinsou Hitoshi

- loves patd! and fall out boy, a brendon urie STAN

- loves to kiss his kitties on the forehead but dreads human interaction

- he loves to squish his cats' toebeans... he takes pictures of them and posts them to his secret cat social media acc

- he is gay but doesn't know how to feel about it and/or come out, he's really nervous and doesn't trust people to accept him

- he doesn't smile often but when he does it's the cutest thing ever

- he secretly really likes deku and kaminari and is hesitant about accepting their friendship, but appreciates the gestures a lot

- this is actually canon! but he feels guilty about having to manipulate people when he uses his quirk, during the 4th school briefs book he feels guilty when he overhears midoriya and ojiro talking about him using his quirk during the sports festival, and he's like "i wish ojiro would say something rude about me to show he's angry so i wouldn't have to feel so guilty about this" since ojiro showed no ill feelings towards him

Izuku Midoriya

- "hold on I'll go get a blanket!" *opens closet* *thousands of all might figurines tumble out*

- watches cat vine compilations until 2 am, than freaks out when he realizes it is 2 am

- very good with children!

- used to be very self conscious about his freckles bc of bakugou insulting them; hid them with concealer for a while until someone told him they were beautiful

- loves his momma so muchhh he would do anything for her, he likes to surprise her with small favors to see her happy

- does not understand the concept of letting people handle their own problems

- stays after to class to offer his teachers help

- he has a lot of self doubts and is still struggling to this day to come to terms with the fact that he is worthy of having one for all

Kyoka Jirou

- she is a lesbian!!!!! she has a crush on momo but is completely convinced that it's unrequited

- struggled with judgmental kids in middle school because of her sexual identity and style

- gets very easily flustered by anyone complimenting her

- that one person sitting at the back of the bus with their earbuds blasting full volume

- was a GOD at guitar hero

- acts like she's fed up with kaminari's (which she can be sometimes), but truly he's one of the people she can trust the most. she secretly appreciates the way he hypes up her talents and how he really helps her through the day sometimes!

- she loves heroes so much... when she was a little girl and didn't know what to do she'd ask herself "what would my favorite heroes do!?"

- she also secretly buys hero merch but hides it in fear of her being seen as sappy

Amajiki Tamaki

- would have trouble standing up for himself but if he sees ANYONE messing with mirio he WILL throw hands

- likes to watch bob ross videos when hes feeling anxious

- he once went to a butterfly museum with his parents and cried out of joy when one landed on his nose

- leaves food out for strays in his neighborhood, ends up attracting an entire hoard of animals.

- he can paint very nicely, he began to paint after he discovered bob ross

- mirio then saw his paintings and showed the entire class to tamaki's dismay, but everyone absolutely LOVED them!!!

- every day he becomes more and more capable and sure of himself, he is still very anxious, but he's learning to open up and embrace his talents <3

- he really loves to listen to music and any time he's not around others he'll probably have earbuds in, gently swaying back and forth to whatever he has on

- nejire loves to try out new hairstyles on him, and strangely enough, tamaki lets her, he loves it when people play with his hair

Shirakumo Oboro

- shares one collective braincell with mic

- that one person that brings EVERYONE valentine treats on valentines day at school

- most likely plays ding dong ditch

- *draws stick figure* "ah yes. just like van goh" (he cannot draw)

- hates to see his friends (and even random strangers upset) and will go out of his way to do dumb things to make them smile

- probably played soccer

- he's a massive flirt and likes to believe he will become a stereotypical anime protagonist with a massive harem

- he really wants to see aizawa come out of his shell more and tries his best to encourage him to see the best in everything

- he has most likely worn a schoolgirl uniform to class once

- he's very affectionate and loves to hug his friends (even if they don't want hugs), it's his way of showing he likes people

Hizashi Yamada

- he lives off of caffeine. he is a teacher, pro hero, and radio show host, im honestly not sure how he does it

- gives out stickers when students get the correct answer in class and has class parties when they are well behaved for the semester

- just like everyone else, he has his own turmoil as well, he likes to stay busy because it prevents him from having a lot of time to dwell on the past

- he gives really good hugs, and loves to feel the touch of others, it's very comforting to him

- was probably pretty troublesome when he was very young while he learned to get control of his quirk

- overall a really happy and excitable guy, he loves being the center of attention and if he can make people happy by being what he is, that's awesome!

- he shows his appreciation for people in odd ways, but he always means good, even if his wild antics can be a bit stressful lol

- he likes to sing a lot and does it a bunch when he's alone, he can also play a lot of instruments

- he can be very serious if needed, he does often put on a persona when he's present mic

- when he's hizashi (out of hero persona) he's even more of a dork than usual, very goofy, awkward and pouty. a manchild.

17. Do they like to take photos? What do they like to take photos of? Selfies? What do they do with their photos?

Akane is really big on the photo reel. She’s definitely the kind of person who goes through her photos when she’s bored to delete the ones she shouldn’t keep so that she has more space. She also definitely uses a computer to store them because they accumulate over the years. She only takes pictures with her phone, the digital age is kind to her lol.

She takes pictures of things around her, she definitely has a few shots of the places she goes most (her room, her house, places she walks often outside). She would take pictures of things she sees (pretty buildings, fountains, nature, cute animals). She would also take selfies, but usually only whenever she’s wearing a new outfit or if she’s with friends. She definitely likes taking pictures of herself when other people are in it as well, she likes gathering memories.

I can totally see her making scrapbooks when a time or event really strikes her, but she probably keeps those to herself. She would only share them when she really trusts someone and wants to be very open with them. (and when a right time happens for her to show them as well).

18. What’s their favourite genre of: books, music, tv shows, films, video games and anything else

Akane loooooves romance novels. Big epic ones or trashy silly ones, she adores them all with the same amount of love. She especially loves medieval-themed romances. Music-wise she would probably listen to mostly pop songs or classical music. I can’t really see her enjoying any “harder” music. TV shows is similar to her book loves, she would love shows like Merlin. For films she would like foreign artsy films, I think. Aaand for video games, I don’t usually see her as a gamer, but if she’s going to do anything, it would be to play healer in an MMO with her friends, lol. She makes her character look pretty and sweet. I MAYBE could see her getting into rp, which, if that was the case, she would have at least two characters. One a sweet magical girl and the other a valiant but shy male knight. She’s baaaaaasically projecting hardcore lol.

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

If she isn’t swearing, Sennestra would probably call people ‘coward’ a lot, or just literally spit at them. She definitely bitches both to people’s face and behind their backs--when something bothers her she can be a bit Queen Bitch about it. I see her using a lot of universe-appropriate swear words when she has something specific to insult too.

Sennestra is definitely the type of person where you’re safe from all perceived slights if you’re her friend, but if you’re her enemy you never escape her glare.

29. What do they do when they find out someone else’s fear? Do they tease them? Or get very over protective?

For this, I think it depends on the gravity of the fear. If it’s something small that the person is sort of brushing off themselves even as they confess it, Sennestra would poke fun at them. Gently, if she’s friends with the person. This is especially the case if it’s spiders or something little that’s more a minor phobia than a true fear. (And, for these minor things, as long as the relationship wouldn’t be too harmed by it, she’d be the type to do like leaving a rubber spider on the back of someones chair to surprise them later, etc).

If it’s a more serious fear though, especially if it’s the fear of someone she really cares about, Sennestra would be overprotective. She wouldn’t TALK about it, really, and she’s not good at that kind of close comfort kind of way of addressing fears, but she would be sure to put herself between that fear and the person who is afraid. Once she’s aware, she would always try to shield them from it, as much as she can.

If it isn’t a physical fear, then she HAS to talk, and while she’s inelegant about that, she would try to do her best to assure the person who is afraid, and would try to reassure them with her own strength.

32. What do they dress like? What sorta shops do they buy clothes from? Do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear makeup? What’s their hair like?

I’m going to limit myself to a modern universe for this ask or I’ll never get through it. I’ll start with Akane. Akane dresses very very femme, lots of pretty dresses and bright colors moreso than dark. She likes accessories and makeup and prettying herself up. She buys clothes from stores that sell more clothes for women than men, the sort of store that really has a lot of different fashion-lines to choose from. She LOVES the clothes she wears. To sleep, she would wear cute pjs with patterns she likes. Her pjs would always match. Her hair is a very dramatic bob, with her hair longer in the front and shorter in the back. She usually wears it down without much else done to it, but sometimes she will but barrettes or headbands on for fun. She almost never ties it back at all and would only do so if she’s doing yardwork or something extremely physical like that.

Sennestra is a mix of practicality and goth and while she would dress fancy when the situation calls, for the typical day she wears clothes that she can move quickly in. When she was younger I think she leaned more heavily into the goth thing, but as she grows older the color scheme remains, but the clothes would change. She probably buys her clothes from stores that sell clothes for professionalism or sports. To sleep she probably just wears a big T-Shirt and that’s it. She’ll wear shorts if other people are around but typically probably wouldn’t bother. Sennestra wears makeup but she doesn’t change it up very often, but she likes wearing heavy eye makeup and lipstick. Sennestra’s hair is short, and she styles it to line up with her jawline, but it’s very coarse.

38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?

Tavon admires people who are sure in their ideals and goals, and while he does have those himself, he actually tends to hide his own insecurity about his choices. He wants so deeply to be sure of his path that he sort of projects the questionlessness he thinks he has onto others and admires it, even when he assumes he possess it as well. Later, he does possess it, but he does still admire it, especially when someone’s goal does not align with his own--he finds differing perspectives interesting. (A side note, but he is more often to lessen or remove his own goals in the face of other’s, though--but sometimes that is a good thing).

He also admires practical skills, especially combat-related ones in most universes. He admires bravery and daring, those who are willing to push for what they think is right.

He wishes he was better at connecting honestly with people--an honest connection is something he struggles with. Falsely, it is easy for him, he’s a spy, he can play the game perfectly, but trust and true connection often evade him, or are quite difficult. He looks to people who truly care for and love each other and admires those deep feelings.

He also generally admires any specific skillset that isn’t one he’s particularly trained in--even as a spy its not like he can be a master of everything, so sometimes he needs a specialist. It depends on universe, but Tavon Prime would wish he had better mechanical technological aptitude (as his skills lie mainly in slicing).
