you nod your head vigorously, throwing yourself into his arm with more sobs, ignoring your gut still screaming at you that something about this is terribly wrong because that can’t be right. shinichiro is your soulmate and he would never do anything to hurt you, you trust him.

shinichiro smirks as he wraps his arms tightly around you because you’re such a naive little thing, but that’s okay, he’ll take care of you so you’ll never have to worry about anything else ever again.

I headcanon that Shinichirou got his height from his mom's side of the family (she wasn't particularly tall, but the men in her family are), whereas most Sano men are on the shorter side lmao

That actually feels pretty accurate, I mean Grandpa Sano seems pretty small and idk Makoto kinda has short king vibes (though he cheated so not really a king). This probably leads to Mikey thinking he'll grow tall like Shinichiro and even telling Baji about it. Then him pouting over it while Baji laughs when this doesn't actually happen.

no because i felt a bit disappointed about shinichirou's time-leaping ability.

my thoughts after the shinichirou time-leaping ability/flashback ended:

(spoilers and thoughts after the line)

we all had our theories, assumptions, and ideas about shinichirou's time-leaping ability and it was one of the biggest plot twists tokyo revengers had in the entirety of its plot. but, we only had a flashback of his time-leaping ability.

it was so fast and so...boring. I love shinichirou but the fact that his problem that he struggled with for years just ended with just time-travelling back in time and then "accidentally" going back into the future to see mikey alive and then him dying is a disgrace. it may be harsh but it was an opening to his character development, as we know nothing about him except for being a respected delinquent.

but wakui decided to make him just a "side character". his time-leaping ability could've been more, and it could've been explored, but we only had one leaper-trigger handshake and that's basically it. don't know if the past flashbacks were him being on autopilot or if that's really him. wakui also dropped hints but were forgotten after the next arc starts. (it's also wakui's habit to drop hints and then forget about them, which is kinda sad because those hints were building up the plot.) it's such a waste we're nearing the end and we don't really see that much of shinichirou's ability.

and I feel like wakui wanted to end this part immediately so he made the part where shinichirou gave takemichi his time-leaping ability as an excuse.

and this part:

if shinichirou wasn't a time-leaper anymore, then the sentence should've used "was" not "is", making it past tense. it gave us more ideas that shinichirou is still time-leaping, trying to fix things, like takemichi, but again, it all goes to waste.

again, tokyo revengers is ending next week. i'm very ecstatic that everything is going well with maitake's part but i'm very disappointed at how rushed the ending was.

i really hope wakui gives us a spin-off of the first-gen black dragons, not because i'm a fan of them, but also because they play a huge part in the story and the characters won't be them without their influence.

i wish good for wakui ken and hope to celebrate the ending with him in happiness.

i am not quite a fan of how wakui writes pacing in a story, but the rest is perfect. stan wakui ken and his two memes on the internet.
