Here’s the art of Knight Steve that I didn’t have time to finish during SBB. But really, like I needed an excuse to draw BEARDY STEVE :D

Art for The Scottish Boy by Bette Noire (Stucky Medieval AU, 129k) The year is 1333. The English are at war with Scotland. 19-year-old West Country knight Sir Steven excels at jousting, but yearns to prove himself in real action. So he jumps when his sponsor, Baron Alexander Pierce, invites him on a secret mission with a dozen elite knights. They ride north to a crumbling Scottish keep, capturing the feral, half-starved boy within and putting the other inhabitants to the sword. And nobody knows, or nobody is saying, why the flower of English knighthood snuck over the border to capture a savage, dirty teenage boy. Pierce gives the boy to Steve as his squire, with only two rules: don't let the boy escape, and convert him to the English cause.

But Barnes disappeared for a reason.

Sam rolls his eyes. “Yes, Steve, you could have a lead on a three year old mystery because you’re just that good, not because a random hipster flirted with you.”

“Well, when you put it that way,” Steve says.

My piece for the lovely @quarra′s “Winter Gorgon” for the @thestuckylibrary-bigbang.

For as long as Steve could remember, all he ever wanted to do was what was right. So when he hears about his father's old regiment being held as POW's by the Nazis, he's determined to put what Doctor Erskine gave him to good use and goes AWOL to rescue them.

But the 107th isn't all he finds there. Deep in the labs is a very unusual prisoner; one with snakes in his hair and a mask nailed to his face. Despite the man's monstrous visage, Steve can't in good conscience leave him to the enemy. That one act of mercy will change his life, the course of the war, and even the future of the world.

So I finally crossed off a long-held fanart goal of mine – to draw a Harlequin romance cover xD. It was a pleasure to collab with Tsumi (again) and Bette Noire for the first time. Her Big Bang NOVEL (because calling it fanfic doesn't do it justice) was a privilege to read, and I only wish I had enough time to complete more illustrations for it.

A/N: My contribution for my second claim of the StuckyBigBang2017. It is entirely to blame on @maichan808 who went all “hey if you don’t oversleep and claim it we can do another collab and look at all this awesome shit the author wrote”. So naturally I ended up “binge reading” all the fics and ofc I overslept for the claims but was still able to get it. Then we totally failed to draw Steve so hope you all enjoy this Bucky art dump.  Thanks to Mai for prettying up my art with the frames and adjusting colors and big thanks to Bette for all the refs and notes she gave us to work with. Never had an author who took so much workload out artists’ hands by providing all that info.
