okay so now that i’ve officially finished watching leverage i just want to say that maybe i’m obsessed with this show on multiple levels and something about how it hits so many itches in that it’s about found family and it’s about fucking over bad, rich guys (no billionaire bootlicking in this show! and i fucking love it) and it’s also about how sometimes the bad guys are the only good guys you get and it’s also about how we are all stronger together it’s about how at the start of this show, we have all of these characters who are largely used to working alone and being alone and yet the show concludes that ultimately, we are better when we are together and by being together, we might be able to leave something behind that is bigger and brighter for the next people in our generation and no man is an island and no person is meant to beat goliath on their own or whatever

If Ed and Stede don't retire right away after all the dust settles, then they're going to have way too much fun with fuckeries and raids. Because, they're both incredibly theatrical, and both enjoy going all out even if it's not entirely sensible to do so (please see: stede getting "killed" like three times over, and ed having artificial fog and fireworks).

They also match each other's excitement and energy so well, as shown in the Lighthouse Fuckery. So you just know they're going to have such a blast planning the most elaborate and detailed ruses just because they can; they'll probably enjoy playing things up more than the actual end-goal.

I honestly think I'm way too sensitive for the way the world is rn like just generally speaking ykwim. but I don't wanna change that. I spent my entire childhood unable to feel much of anything at all and accumulating piles upon piles of resentment and fear that I still can't express because it scares me. I've mentioned this a bit jokingly but it really does feel like I gained consciousness not too long ago and am just starting to feel like a person. It's been taking me a much longer time than most people my age but I try to not be too angry at myself for that because it just doesn't feel like something I would've been able to force anyways. my last spam i will leave u with is also! ever since i unlocked homecoming ssr yakumo and it's dropped that he made his own ceremonial clothing i became OBSESSED w the idea of grandma taking babkumo to The Crafting Circle of the village. maybe he needed a bit more immersion into human spaces before he started school so he's just cowering in grandmas lap while she's knitting and mending but slowly he starts just like wandering around, looking at all the things happening with all the crafters just letting this uncanny child gaze in wonder over all the comfort items and soft blankets and warm clothes being made. and then there's at least one giant ass loom and those things are HUGE and make a lot of clacking noises. babkumo inching closer to it but doing these big scared jumps every time it makes noise but he's just so O.O like this giant scary thing makes such nice things!!! he's been wrapped in scarves fresh off this thing!!! and then whoever is working the loom pushing the shuttle through and just patiently waiting for yakumo to very tentatively push it back toward them. tbh i don't even really think that's great weaving technique but idc we are socializing this yokai via fibers and stich-n-bitch. thank you again for the generosity and enthusiasm ;w;

Okay, okay, wait. A big reason Batman is so effective is his stealth, imperceptibly hiding in the shadows and vanishing silently back into them at any moment.

But crocodiles can see in the dark. They have a tapetum lucidum in each eye like cats, and Waylon Jones has crocodile eyes - yellow with vertical pupils and no visible sclera. So not only can he already smell the Bats coming a mile or a more away, but whenever one is lurking in the shadows, for Waylon they’re just… standing there, thinking they’re being so sneaky. He casually informed Nightwing of this once and Nightwing got very flustered until Waylon agreed, out of pity, to play along. It was awkward. Batman of course already knows, and it annoys him more than he lets on; both for the practical reason of it being much harder to catch Killer Croc off-guard and because the dramatic effect of his cool entrances is lost.

All the rogues are complaining about how insanely stealthy Batman is and Waylon’s just there like, “Oh, I forgot ‘dark’ is actually dark for you.”

However, because of how the tapetum lucidum works, his vision is blurrier the less light there is. Batman’s extremely distinctive silhouette is helpful here. But he does occasionally confuse Batkids with similar silhouettes in the deepest darkness. Once he thought he was lunging at Batgirl (Stephanie Brown), only for her to instead be Black Bat (Cassandra fucking Cain). That was a bad night.

So I’ve been reading a lot of reviews on the revival, and I almost feel like I can’t comment on anything until I actually see what they’re talking about. BUT

Consensus on Groban seems to be that although his voice is flawless as expected, he’s just not scary. Some reviewers seem to care about this more than others.

And I was thinking, I can’t actually recall any Sweeneys whom I’ve found scary? There have been Judge Turpins who have scared me and even some Mrs. Lovetts, but not really Sweeney...during Epiphany I’m typically just laughing at his melodramatic ass.

Anyone have a Sweeney who scared them?

I say this as someone with mental disabilities, sometimes you just gotta take the L and do it. Maybe it'll cost you and send you into negative spoons but sometimes you gotta. We have a human debt we owe to one another and we have to fight for each other.

Disabilities make things hard to do safely, without pain, etc. Where you can, seek accomodations, ask for help, live your life, and do good in the world in the ways you can.

What we can't do with our disabilities? We can't sit here and wallow and use them as a shield.
