Worlds.com - Shaper (1995)
I decided to add textures to my world and I think it looks wayyyyyy better than with only solid colours!
One problem is that the frame rate drops like crazy for some reason! The documentation for shaper says that you need to optimize your world by preventing overdrawing, which I need to look into.

Scholar Adelwyn of the Durmand Priory
This is one of my many GW2 OC's, Adelwyn! She's your casual bipanic disaster (who doesn't know she's bi). She works as a botanist and is interested specifically in how the environment affects plants.
She is also the former Mentor to another OC, Rukka! They're botanist besties and to this day still work together on various plant-based projects.
Despite being a fumbling disaster, Adelwyn can be a bit of a badass in her own right. While she doesn't see herself as particularly strong in martial ability, she can still certainly hold her own in fights, preferring to use clever methods of magic and swordplay. She employs a unique, fluid, shifting blend of different swordplay techniques she learned from a master swordsman Charr that fits perfectly with her ability to shapeshift her weapon in mid battle, giving her a surprising edge to those who cannot adjust to her shifting nature.
And yet... she still trips over herself whenever she sees a pretty Sylvari.

POC character writing questions
Writing In Color is currently not taking asks, so I hope it’s okay to field this question to the greater void.
I’m in the early stages of developement for a fantasy book, and two of the secondary characters are Black -a pair of fraternal twins. They share backstory trauma (which might be an issue as well and I would love opinions about how it would feel for my Black mutuals to possibly read this).
Their entire family is intact and alive, just to reassure you. The entire family group was willfully relocating overseas, when a storm swept the boat and capsized it, but their family was very lucky and still made the crossing altogether. I'm aware of the connotations between Black characters and trauma regarding boats/water, however the boat/water itself isn’t the root of their shared trauma and how it shapes them as people. Although travel by sea is a mild anxiety for both of them at times. Unless, of course, that doesn’t matter and I should avoid that sort of trauma to start with. I’m open to that.
The brother realized that life is very fragile and chose to seek a career as a healer/priest. He grows up to be extroverted, loves life and actively/openly celebrates it. He’s caring and compassionate and loving towards people and other living things. His brush with death makes him strive to make the most out of being alive. I’ve read a number of posts from Black folks and others wishing to see more Black men as caregivers and nurturers, as softer and loving. That’s my ultimate goal, but if there is issues with any of this, please feel free to say so.
The sister grows in a somewhat opposite direction. While she also recognizes the fragility of life, she pulls away and consciously forgoes attachments to people. She takes up a career as a ranger -while not entirely alone, as the rangers work together in congress with villages to protect/provide- it is solitary work. She does eventually aquire an animal companion, a tiger, but rarely returns to her home and family unless she needs to be in town for supplies or other reasons. Naturally, this leads to estrangement with her family -who have never resented her and always assure her -when they see her- that they love her and want her around.
I am wholly aware of the “strong independent black woman” trope. And I’m sure that looks like exactly what I’m doing, but part of the sister’s story is learning to open up and let herself be soft and feel things and rely on others for companionship and let her brother back into her life as someone who cares for her. And the other members of the party meet her where she is, accept and respect her ways and let the sister learn at her own pace that they are trustworthy and supportive -whether she changes or not.
While I’m still very early in planning and research, this is ultimately what I have planned, and I would love any insight that anyone would dein to give. I just ask that you be kind, and thank you in advance.

Progress is looking good...
The room isn't as laggy anymore which is really good!
I also added an "Under Construction" cube floating in the sky (:
And I also added an infinite background!
