one thing that stands out to me about the IVF arc is the way that, for as much as i make fun of her for asking her coworker if she can have his babies, scully asking mulder to be involved in the biggest process of her life (and the most important thing in the rest of her life) is such a healing and reverent experience. like he says “i’m absolutely flattered,” but it’s so much more than that. it’s like…spending your whole life feeling like you should’ve died at age twelve and then being told someone just wants more of you, more and more and more, in everything.

i napped the entire day away and my dreams included, but were not limited to: big earthquake that, as it was happening, i was like "oh this is a bad one" and my stepdad went "its not that bad" - our house slid down a ravine into water / very vivid evening apocalypse that - after the blast hit and i died - swirled into sleep paralysis that occurred While I Was Dreaming (and i do mean swirled. i got whipped around like an inflatable tube man) / rich people sitcom where everyone was unbearable but i had my dear cat Letti with me / sound-based monster shaped like my mom that i kept from killing me via a funny joke (i didnt even get to finish my microwaved macaroni smh)

#it was dream after dream after dream #man that apocalypse one tho. slotting that one into one of my favorite death dreams it was so pretty and peaceful #everyone was just meandering to the beach but for some reason my legs were really weak and i couldnt walk #i tried! but i wound up just collapsing on the crosswalk. but a nice lady stopped and helped me up #and she helped me to the beach where everyone was gathering to watch the oncoming blast #oh man it was gorgeous. it was the only source of light so the ocean was glimmering with it and a low golden hue was cast over everything #no one was screaming or panicking! no one was scared. there were people on picnic blankets or just standing and watching #it was gorgeous and calming in a morbid sort of way. we were all in it together <3 #absolutely unprompted #a great break from the irritating other dreams! #the earthquake one was Incredibly realistic - foreshocks and accurate ground movement and everything! #house shook right off of its foundation #that sleep paralysis Within a dream one tho. fuck that one lmao #i woke up and was So confused for a second bc i couldve sworn i had already woken up #good to know even my subconscious is done with The Demons trying to get me #i love clawing my way tooth and nail out of sleep paralysis and not humoring The Paralysis Horrors #if i ever see my sleep paralysis demon im biting it so fucking hard. we have beef

Higuchi and Ranpo are just such interesting author-based characters in BSD.

I know it's weird to connect the two but hear me out...

So far, the only authors I can remember that don't have a known ability are Aya, Higuchi, and Ranpo. Aya and Higuchi will likely get an ability (latter has been confirmed to have one, at least) while Ranpo...probably won't? Though you never know.

But the reason I bring Higuchi and Ranpo together is because the latter is an author who is heavily implied to be the son of one of his IRL counterpart's characters. And meanwhile, the former is someone who has one of the real people in her IRL counterpart's life (that is to say, BSD Higuchi's sister) brought into the manga. Yeah, Tanizaki and Akuatagawa have their sisters be based off characters, and we also have Haruno based off a Tanizaki character, plus Fitzgerald's characters in the eyes of god story arc.

But I really think that it's interesting that Ranpo is the child of his own character. And that Higuchi is I think the only one with a family member that is based on IRL Higuchi's own family situation. That we might actually have a BSD character based on a real life person that wasn't a significant writer of some sort (to my knowledge, at least).

I don't really have a point with this, but it is interesting and aghhhhhhh Asagiri I'M BEGGING you to do something with Higuchi that doesn't involve Akutagawa! There's so many things about her and I want to know!

EVERY TIME.

every single time tangle and whisper have been separated, there has been no real, face to face, goodbyes.

tangle never got to say goodbye.

she never got to apologise to whisper's face.

during the metal virus, sonic had to apologise for her,

and now,

whisper is dead,

and the only thing tangle can do is say sorry.

she's so fucking sorry. she told her everything will be alright, she reassured her she would be safe-

and everything went to hell.

im wishing that tangle holds onto the hope that they'll make it through this hell and whisper will be okay, because even when she died in the metal virus she knew it'd only be temporary- it didn't make leaving any easier, and it didn't make saying sorry hurt any less, but she knew her friends would save her. she trusts them so much and she is so fucking brave she is so strong and she has just started her adventures.

she's a hero and i want her to keep hoping that her and her friends will save whisper, because they always save the day, no matter what happens.

tangle is panicking right now, and that's reasonable. she should be allowed to panic. she should panic in a terrifying situation like this.

but I just hope she's going to be okay
