i have gotten a toothache, so i just called my dentist to get it checked out now because i’m leaving tonight and wont be home the rest of october. but turns out my dentist is on vacation this week. so i call the number they left for acute cases whilst they are away, but that number also doesn’t have open today. so now i have a toothache and no dentist

Emily was trying hard not to panic further. She held him for a bit before finally registering what he was saying.

"J-just a weapons test?! What the hell do they do, put you through a human shredder?" She was starting tonget some of his blood onto her.

"I'll help you get to medic if you need to go?" He towered her on a good day and now she felt engulfed. But like hell was she going to leave his side. Not as injuried as he is.

In fact, he’s lost. Very lost. He just wants to go home and is getting scared of everything around him because he doesn’t know what’s going on. But! But he’s found an (admittedly also terrifying) castle or keep or whatever they’re called that all the ghosts avoid!

It never exactly enters his mind that they might have been avoiding such a place for a reason.

In unrelated news, the first thing Fright Knight sees after his sword was (accidentally) knocked free from its prison is not a blob ghost- they’ve done it a few times over the eternities- but a ghostling. A newborn ghostling, who promptly bursts into tears to his genuine horror. What did he do?!

also quite obsessed with karl being as detached from the story as he is. there's nothing that makes him have to be the detective that has to be involved, but he unknowingly dooms himself by agreeing to work with the KYAL cult. every other detective basically deals with elias head on except weissman, who only meets him right before he kills him. like he's right when he says "by my choices" because everything that leads him to being mixed up with the mannix cult is himself. it's the gambling debts and the choice to do the dirty work for an organisation he knows nothing about. he's the only one that doesn't encounter that body doing police work and it's specifically because he's told to cover it up. he gets himself into the mess and eventually fixes it but the fact that esther always dies in the doomed timelines and he's always too late even if he starts wanting to change things ("till this child. esther.") it just makes me very ill

#sorry jane who heard this on her dms but now im posting it to tumblr cause im having a category 5 woman moment. AND ALTERNATIVELY:#i am also EXTREMELY obsessed with how its a time loop and the idea (so sorry tumblr user whose post i have lost and was inspired by)#weissman was just so fucking hard to deal with that they made sure that he was in their pockets. i just like the idea of the loop--#--having like. fixed points that elias would need to ensure the dystopia (body is covered up/the investigation closes/etc) but #how they get there is a slightly slower process and the earliest loops were the messiest/most unpredictable #and what we see in the show itself is like. the most streamlined version over hundreds of loops and attempts #so karl specifically. lonely that he is and determined to survive. AND with a cruel streak against people he doesn't like #kept nearly blowing their operation so they began to incorporate him in it instead #there's also another tragedy in there if /esther/ is what they realise works best against him..#just love and kindness for a girl that weissman comes to see as family and they immediately exploit it after learning during an early loop #im ignoring specific plot points here (polly seemingly panicking when esther shows up at the station) but I DO NOT CARE.#THERE'S ANGST HAPPENING RN. tomorrow finale

ngl when they said he’d be demoted for six months, I kept hoping for the scene where he’d be the new RMT member to replace choi joon-woong. can you imagine?? ryeon AND ryung-gu as his superiors?? we were robbed!

honestly though the finale was practically wish fulfillment. he finally realizes why ryeon affected him so deeply all this time. the both of them have reverted to their flirting, pre-teen, full-on heart-eyes days and I honestly pity ryung-gu who has to suffer fifty years of this alone.

I keep thinking of ryeon just pushing him to reincarnate so he can be happy and move on, but he’d be like lolnope, and just dropping by all casual-like thinking he’s being all suave and wooing ryeon again. he’s already doing it! mentioning that he’d casually murder someone just so his wifey’s workload is lessened. did you hear his, ‘are you sure? just say the word, and you can have a new member again.’ no matter how well-adjusted he seems, his cat-gifting-his-master-a-corpse tendencies still haven’t changed. again I reiterate, poor ryung-gu. he has to suffer this all by himself for fifty more years.

we know both ryeon and ryung-gu will never reincarnate and manage the rmt team forever. you mean to tell me, joong-gil who didn’t even want to reincarnate when he only had intense feelings of hateloveconfusion towards ryeon, would choose to reincarnate NOW after reuniting with the love of his life (and death)?? ha, fat chance ryeon! If ryung-gu could choose not to reincarnate to be with his mother forever even if she broke their threads herself, then who’s to say that option isn’t available to joong-gil so he can stay with ryeon forever (another parallel between ryung-gu and joong-gil actually)?

This is basically the Jade Emperor’s way of subverting the red string of fate for the both of them. She wouldn’t have done anything if only Joong-gil didn’t love Ryeon THAT much that two reincarnations couldn’t make him move on. In other words, no matter how much he reincarnates, he could never forget those feelings. Ultimately it’s up to the both of their choices as to how they’ll proceed with their love from hereon out. I actually really loved it as a subversion of the red thread of fate trope.

And with Joon-woong and Choi-hui tied together, it means Ryeon will be reunited with two more people she loves upon their death. It shows a hopeful interpretation of passing on overall.

And as always, Joon-woong remains the goodest boi.

Basically they crossed over from tragic Romeo and Juliet love to workplace, married life, rom-com shenanigans. I am here for the genre shifts. I would watch an entire season two of their workplace dynamic once Joon-woong and Choi-hui enter Jumadeung. The three of them would dote so much on Ryeon, and Joong-gil would be happy to know his wife is taken care of during work hours. Meanwhile, the rest of the Senior Directors would be so flabbergasted and confused trying to find out when their Escort Team Leader became such a simp for the RMT leader.
