As the trees hum folklores with the kids, I wonder how is Manali doing.

I wonder if the snow has evaporated from the snow-capped mountains and if the Beas river flows as silently as it did then.

I wonder if it remembers my promise.

The promise that I had made a year ago, assuring that the next time I come back, I will like an arrow, firm and tight and not like a swing set, swinging back and forth.
