StrangerNatural: return to the bunker
(The Hawkins Seven, the Party, team free will; Aricka Munson-Winchester x Billy Hargrove. Aricka Hopper x Steve)
(After they killed Vecna, everyone involved with the UpsideDown fight move to Kansas. Aricka comes home.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Aricka’s bedroom courtesy of Pinterest. If you want rooms for the teens and kids of Hawkins let me know-!)
All the cars that had left Hawkins pull into the garage of the bunker. Aricka pulls her baby- her ‘69 Dodge Charger- into it’s spot, right next to Dean’s car. She sits for a moment, anxiously gripping the steering wheel.
She was home. But was it still home-?
“Aricka?” Chrissy. “You okay, sweetie?” Always perceptive, that Chrissy Cunningham.
“Yeah,” she said. “Just a little anxious to be home.”
“Well, I don’t think anyone here blames you- for us it’s only been six months but for you it’s been six whole years. You have every right to be nervous.” Jeff, Lucas and Erica Sinclair had already exited the car, walking over to their friends. Aricka nods, and Robin squeezes her shoulder.
“Those brothers of yours seem to be the type to let you readjust at your own pace. Just take a moment to breathe.” Aricka smiles at her friends- two girls she’d considered sisters since she met them.
“Thanks guys.” She unlocks her door and climbs out. “Let’s do this.”
*time jump*
“Well- here’s the door shortstop.” Dean turns to her, and Aricka felt her eyes well up with tears. “I know I said it already but- welcome home.”
Aricka smiles and swipes at her face before walking up and gripping the door handle, twisting and pushing it open to reveal-
Home. Just like she’d left it.
The comforting smell of coffee, books, and something she never could quite identify washes over her, and Aricka walks over to the edge of the railing. Closes her eyes. Takes one long, deep breath in. Then opens her eyes.
She was home.
After a permissive glance, she walked over to the railing, climbed on, and slid down, duffle clutched tightly in her hands as she let out a victorious WHOOP-! And laughed, the others following behind her.
Billy walks over to her, takes her bag from her. “You okay?” He asks, those blue eyes searching for any sign that she was struggling. Aricka smiles back at him, stands on her tiptoes to kiss him.
“Honestly?” He nods. “I’ve got my family all together. For the first time in six years. I’ve never been happier.” She’d dreamed of the off chance of her two worlds colliding one day.
She’d never expected it to happen like this. But she was so happy it did.
~~~~~~~
“… and this is my room.” She pauses. “They didn’t take out the “Girl Cave,” sign. Huh.” That made her wonder- did they even touch her bedroom in the years she was gone?
Pushing the door open, she stepped inside so the kids and teens- the ragtag bunch of friends she’d managed to gather together, to turn into a family- could enter her space. “C’mon in guys. I’ve got plenty of space for you to sit, or chill out on. And I’ve got a mini fridge with drinks and a mini pantry of snacks- just help yourself.”
Dori walks over to the mini pantry, manages to find a snack that wasn’t expired after six years. “Aricka.." Dori starts, "I mean this in the nicest way possible. Your room is crazy!"
Aricka grins, and shakes her head. “I can explain each appliance if that helps. I’ve got a television, which I help pay for, a giant light that projects the planets and stars, the mini fridge and pantry are self explanatory…. I’ve got a karaoke machine, my lava lamp…My room at Wayne’s is just a toned down version of this. Eddie can vouch for me.”
Will climbs the ladder to her loft bed, where he found a familiar looking stuffed animal. “Chewie!” He picks up Aricka’s teddy bear. “You have two of them?”
“Yeah. Cas made the other one. He didn’t want me to be lonely.”
Dustin opens up the mini fridge, taking out a can of soda, "Aricka, you're officially the coolest person ever."
Aricka absolutely BEAMED at the kid. “I think you still hold that title. Professor D. Check out my computer. It’s like the ones in Hawkins but smaller, lightweight and portable.”
El picks up a purple cow print blanket. “Soft…” she whispers.
Aricka smiles. “You want it Janie?”
The girl nods eagerly.
“Then it’s yours now.” Jane grinned and wrapped the blanket around her like a cape, humming softly.
"Okay, but your tv is so... flat." Dori says walking up to it, "Are all modern tvs like this?"
“Yeah, it’s a flatscreen. Um- I don’t know how best to explain it. Sammy’s the tech geek of the five of us.”Max was currently sitting in the hammock in the corner of Aricka’s room, observing everything with her earbuds still in.
“Aricka- this photo wall- who are all these people?” Will asks, pointing to the photos along her wall.
Aricka’s expression turns to one of nostalgia. “It’s my family- uh- the rest of my family.”
"The rest of your family?" Dori asked
“Yeah. You guys all know I consider you my family now, right? Well.. these photos- they’re memories. Of people still living. Some who are not. But- everyone on this wall means something to me. This is how I commemorate their legacy.” Then she pulls out a book, containing various Polaroids. “Now, I can add more, and tell you all stories of the family I have here?”
“That's cool." Dustin smiles, looking over the pictures.
“That’s neat that you chose to honor them like that,” Steve commented.
“Thanks Stevie- oh, that’s my mama,” Aricka says, pointing at a picture of a woman in a police uniform. “Sherif Jody Mills. Aka mama Jody. She’s got a house for “wayward daughters.” I spent a few months with her when I was 14- I needed a mom really badly then. That’s when I started calling her that. Her and momma Donna. They both consider me their kid.”
Aricka selects her first picture- one of her and Dori at the arcade from a few months back- and hangs it right beside the one of Jody.
Dori smiles, and Eddie nudges their shoulder.
“… that’s Ellen and Jo.” Aricka is somber for this memory. “They died saving me and Sammy and De. Jo was-,” her lip quivers. “She was like my sister.”
A picture of Aricka and Eddie singing together goes beside them- a brother by a sister.
Dori places their hand on Aricka's shoulder, "I'm sorry."
Aricka shakes her head. Wipes her face. “I was ten. It was a while ago. I’m okay now.”
“Who’s that?” Will asks, pouting to a scruffy looking man.
Aricka’s whole attitude changed as she grinned. “Aw, that’s Garth-! He’s one of my best friends - he’s a werewolf who defeated the tooth fairy.”
Dustin's eyes widen, ".... I don't even know how to process what you just said." he chuckles.
Aricka giggles. “Trust me, you get used to it. Especially in this line of work. Dean and Sam are probably telling Joyce and Jim and uncle Wayne all sorts of stories.”
Aricka hangs a picture of the kids by a picture of a boy wearing a red and white striped shirt with a matching hat. She smiles fondly yet still with some sadness.
“That’s Samandriel. An angel. Um.. Billy knows already but he was my first boyfriend. He died a few months before I came to Hawkins.”
"Oh man... I'm sorry that happened."
“Billy and I helped each other in a lot of ways.” She smiles at the boy, who was looking at her pictures.
“You told me about this girl-said Buckley would like her.”
“Oh yeah, Charlie! Robin you would LOVE Charlie. She’s a total nerd and loves a good montage moment”.
"Sounds like my kind of girl." Robin says, "I'd love to get to know her someday."
“She’s gonna probably kill me when she finds out I’m back… and I haven’t texted her yet.. but in my defense it’s been six years technically since I’ve texted- .”
“Texted? What’s that?” Robin interjects.
“Oh!” Aricka pulls her phone out. “I’ll show you. Remind me we need to get all of you Hawkins natives phones- and phone numbers- and at least one social media app.” She pulls up her messaging app. “So this is Charlie’s contact information. I’m gonna click it, and this thread is our conversation- holy wow. June 19th at 8:45 was my last text to Charlie- lemme just send her a message.”
Aricka’s fingers fly across the phone keyboard as she sends out a message to her sister/friend.
“The prodigal sisters returns-! Missed you Cici.”
"Wow. Pretty convenient way of contacting someone." Dori said.
“Yeah, technology advances pretty quickly once y2k happens. My favorite invention thus far is the air fryer… genius.”
"The WHAT?" Dustin asked.
“It a machine that fries food but doesn’t make it greasy- it’s amazing”.
“Okay, that's the first thing we're gotta try as soon as possible." Max walks over and ducks under Aricka’s arm, wrapping both of hers around her big sister’s waist. “Hey there, it’s my all time favorite red headed teenager.”
Max smiles and leans her head against Aricka. “I’m with Dustin- I’m hungry.”
“Okay, I can make us some air fryer pizza rolls and French fries, how’s that sound?”
"YEAH!" Dustin exclaimed
“Yes please.” El says, followed by various agreements:
“Sounds good.”
“Whatever you make is fine.”
“I’d like it.”
“Heck yeah.”
Dean walks in then. Notices the redhead- Max, or as Aricka called her; MadMax. “Heard you say you’re gonna make food- but aside from that how’s settling in going? We have plenty of space for all of you to have your own rooms.”
“We’re good Dean,” the cheerleader with an edge to her- Chrissy, he reminded himself- says; a smile on her face. “Aricka’s just introducing us to the rest of her family.”
~~~~~~~~~
Dean woke up to a loud scream followed by two different sets of feet thumping down the hallway. He gave the two sets of feet five minutes to reach their destination before he gave pursuit, when he heard voices coming from room 20- the room “Little Red” as he’d nicknamed Max, had claimed.
“Hey, Maxie, it’s me and Aricka- just breathe. We’re going to stay here until you feel better.” That was Billy. Aricka had explained in brief detail the story of these two- and he felt a sort of older brother connection to the kids.
“It’s okay, MadMax, we’re at the bunker. Sammy De and Cassie wouldn’t let anybody who wanted to hurt us past the door. We’re all safe. We all left Hawkins. We’re starting a new life- a new family. All of us. We won’t let anyone get hurt- we’ll keep each other safe. Just go back to sleep.” That was Aricka. Hearing his, Sam and Cas’s names being listed as protectors brought a sad sort of smile to his face.
“I’ll fight off the bad dreams kid. You sleep now.” When the room went quiet after a moment, he poked his head into the room to check on them- and this time the smile on his face wasn’t a sad one; it was a fond one.
Max was in the middle of the bed, dried tears sticking to her red cheeks as she clung to Billy even in her sleep. Aricka had her arms protectively around both siblings- defensive even in sleep. Billy also had both of the girls in his arms, but the blanket had shifted down to their knees in the shuffle to get comfortable, he assumed. So he pulled the blanket back up so they wouldn’t get cold during the night, flicked on the nightlight Aricka had insisted each “kid” and “teen” get- having experiences with her own nightmares- and then quietly left the room.
They could all talk in the morning. If he was gaining new siblings, he wanted to help them any way he could.
Not that he’d ever phrase it that way. But they would know. And that’s all that mattered.

no but they end the episode pulling a swan song with will and the next one opens up with little will running for his life on the UD, and we get to see what happened to him on s1, it would be so good!!! he gets to revisit his trauma and then that same episode could close with a shot of vecna saying "hello will, welcome home" or something like that, I would eat it up lmaoo
(i took way too long to answer this whoopss) but anon YOUR MIND! YOUR MIND!!!! the transition from that episode to the next would be so crazy. Imagine will just jumps into the upside down and the episode fade to black with vecna’s voice saying “welcome home, will” and THEN the next episode starting with flashback of s1 will running through the UD, god poetic cinema of it all

there’s literally a thousand ways i could go about this strangernatural au AHHH.
i’m kind of attached to jack as el but there are so many younger people in the show and it’s like hmm should i go with the party is wayward sisters. i mean cas would be weird as hopper but it would fit parent wise hmm like dean could be hopper but idk him as joyce also works but so does cas as joyce. hmmm i originally thought of claire as will. idk who would be jonathan i mean if dean is joyce, sam could be an older jonathan? idk. hmm hmm but if dean is hopper then hopper’s daughter could be emma. or ben really but. like i said WAY too many thoughts. or do a version with dean as steve and charlie/jo?as robin. but also dean as jonathan and sam as will is also good AHH there are just so many things. so many thoughts.

Billy: “I know what you’re thinking Max. Why did it have to be clowns?”
Max: “oh, give me a break.”
Billy: *laughter* “you didn’t think I remember do you? Come on, you still bust out crying when you see Ronald McDonald on the television.”
Max: “at least I’m not afraid of flying.”
Billy: “PLANES CRASH!”
Max: “AND APPARENTLY CLOWNS KILL!”

Hey so I’ve seen you posting the supernatural/stranger things parallels and damn I didn’t realize there were so many. So thank you for pointing those out!! also I’m kind of curious do you think the st main characters would get along with spn main characters? Idk what seasons to base this off of but overall thinking about the main characters journeys. Like do you think the party/teens/adults from st would overall like team free will? Damn this is so open ended so like hopefully you don’t get confused by it! If you do just tell me to narrow it down or something! Have a great day/night!
Hmmm this is such an interesting question that could be approached in so many different ways. Short answer is I think they would like each other in a Self-Recognition Through The Other way. These guys are all massive dorks at heart and it's all about loving your (found) family and breaking cycles and challenging constructions of deviation/monstrosity/otherness. Long version is:
- A concept: ca 1985-87 John Winchester rolls into Hawkins with baby Sam and Dean in tow to investigate the Happenings. He tries to talk to Hopper the same way Murray did with similar results. Joyce/Hopper somehow find out that he's basically dragging his 2 small children along with him on a monster hunt and leaving them alone for extended periods and report him to the appropriate authorities. Joyce Byers in danger of adopting more children. (On that note I think Hopper and Bobby would make excellent friends. Hopper is basically if you combined Bobby Singer and Jody Mills into one person. Parental figure/adoptive parent, trauma over loss of a child).
- On another similar note I have a lot of feelings about the similarities/differences between Sam+Dean and Will+Jonathan. Parentification of older siblings and snarky queer-coded siblings and growing up in poverty and absent fathers whose presence is at least partially remediated by the presence of unconditionally loving/present parents/parental figures. Forming an identity around adherence/rebellion against that absent father vs. "you shouldn't like something just because people say you're supposed to". Healthy vs. Unhealthy sibling dynamics. Sam Winchester running away to college to escape his father vs. Jonathan Byers not going away for college bc he doesn't feel like he can leave his family.
- El and Cas and Jack would absolutely love each other so much. Just a bunch of Weird Girls (gn, affectionate) learning the intricacies of humanity/society while learning to see their value outside of their power. Finding out who they are and building a family that loves them for exactly that regardless of their usefulness. They would be best friends.
- Nancy "Unauthorized Investigative Journalism" Wheeler would LOVE Sam "So Get This" "The Lore" Winchester. She would become a hunter just so she could put on a little disguise and tag along for Monster of the Week.
- this is more of a rambling about thematic content but. Spn on the dichotomy of monstrosity/humanity (hunter/monster lifestyle vs. White Picket Fence) and ST as a commentary on forced conformity. What is "normal" and who is a "freak"? Who is the authority on the acceptable level of deviance? White picket fences that hide unhappy marriages. Ending up Just Like Your Parents. Characters who are desperate to live a normal life vs. characters who rebuke it. Finding a home in embracing your authentic self and slowly building a found family of people who love and understand you.
- on that note, Karen Wheeler meeting Mary Winchester would be. We don't have time to unpack ALL of that. Trapped in a life of normalcy to conform to what was expected of you vs. to rebel and escape the life expected of you. The baby is crying and your husband is asleep in his armchair. Is this your life? Who are you, really? I think it would break them.
- Dean "secret NerdDork" "besties with a lesbian supergeek" Winchester would vibe with stobin and eddie and the party so hard if they got him out of his shell.
I am accepting constructive criticism on this one so feel free to chime in

StrangerNatural (Chapter 1)
A/N: I apologize for the crappy writing 🤷‍♀️.
Warnings: Season 3 spoilers of Stranger Things, spoilers mentioned for season 14 of Supernatural.
Jack Kline X OC, hints of Billy Hargrove X OC and Steve Harrington X OC, slight cursing
Prologue
The twins stood off to the side of the pool. Jack stood tall at 5'10, dressed in a white under shirt, a blue, collared jacket unzipped over the under shirt, blue jeans and he wore his black hiking boots. His brown hair had been brushed to the right side, a few loose strands had fallen to his forehead, almost in front of his eyes which were a deep blue. His twin sister, Ruby, stood at his half his height, at 5'5. She was wearing a beige undershirt and Jack's brown jacket that had intricate patterns going horizontal on the clothing, it too was left unzipped over the undershirt. She also wore light blue jeans and black hiking boots as well. Her brown hair fell past her shoulders, at armpit length.
The twins' attention was soon drawn to a blond, curly haired boy in red shorts and no shirt on. He had just blown into something which had created a loud frequency. The everyone in the pool was still loud until he blew into the object again. Everyone fell silent and looked at him, including a chubby boy who had just been running.
"Hey Lardass! No running on my watch! I gotta warn you again and you're banned for life! Do you want to be banned for life, Lardass?!" the guy yelled at the chubby boy on the other side of the pool.
The twins saw how the boy shook his head fearfully.
"Didn't think so." the blond said before blowing into his object again.
Everyone resumed what they were doing and the twins watched as the curly haired guy continued on his way, noticing him taking a moment to speak to some older women. Then they watched as he walked over to some chair that was up high, climbed up some ladder rungs and sat in the chair.
Ruby turned to her brother, looking up at him.
"Jack, can we get in the water? Please?" she asks him.
Jack's blue eyes looked into his sister's own blue eyes.
"Ruby, we don't even know how to swim." he says to her, now remembering what he had once read about pools.
She took into consideration what he said before speaking again, "Well, we can just stand in the water." she offered.
Jack sighed before scanning the pool again then returned his attention back to his sister.
"Okay, we'll stand in the water. But, first I think we need to change. We aren't exactly wearing the appropriate clothing for the pool." he tells her before gesturing to the people in the pool.
Ruby looked at all the girls in the pool, thinking for a moment before snapping her fingers. Her original clothes had immediately changed into clothes that looked like the ones the girls wore. It was a one pieced bathing suit that was mostly blue but, over the right side of her chest, it was a purple color. Jack looked at his sister in surprised before looking around quickly, to make sure no one had seen what had happened.
"Ruby! You know we aren't supposed to use our powers in the open. We could get into so much trouble!" he whispered shouted at her.
"By who? Dean isn't here right now. Besides, no one saw me." she says to him.
"Yeah but, someone could have! And who knows what would happened after that." he said.
Ruby sighed, "Alright, okay. I'm sorry. Now, will you get changed too, please?" she pleaded.
Jack looked around once more before snapping his own fingers to change into shorts that matched what the boys at the pool wore. His were a simple light blue color. Ruby smiled before grabbing her brother's hand and began to lead him over to the pool, walking quickly. He followed his sister, turning his head every now and then to look at all the different people. He noticed some people in the chairs watched him go by with his sister dragging him along. Ruby eventually stopped walking, standing by the side of the pool where there was mostly adults.
Ruby let go of her brother's hand and looked at the water. Jack stood nearby his sister, watching her look at the water in wonder. He turned away from his sister for a moment, looking at other people before he heard his sister scream. He turned around so fast only to see his sister fall into the water.
"RUBY!" He shouted at the same time someone from behind him did.
Jack quickly looked over his shoulder to see Dean running right for him before he dove into the pool. Sam and Castiel jogged up to the male Nephilim and Jack watched as Dean swam over to Ruby who had surfaced and was beginning to thrash around.
Billy Hargrove had gotten the lifeguard job at the Hawkins Pool and he enjoyed it, having power over kids and having the attention of women. He was on duty when a female scream caught his attention and he watched as a young girl was shoved into the pool by a young boy who had run past her. He was about to climb down from his seat but, didn’t move fast enough as an older guy ran by and dove into the pool. Billy watched as the guy who was wearing two layers, jeans and boots, swim over to the young girl who had began to thrash around in the pool. He watched him pick the young girl up in his arms before standing up and carrying the girl over to the edge of the pool. He then saw an older, taller man lean over the pool and helped get the girl out of the pool as the fully dressed man climbed out of the pool. Billy decided to climb down from his chair and made his way over to the three older men, one younger boy and the young girl.
"Is she okay?" he decided to ask.
He did not want to get fired from this job, not when he was saving up to get out of this shitty town.
Ruby was coughing up water when Billy walked over. Sam moved to stand between Billy and the others.
"Yeah, she's fine. She just, wasn't expecting that and she's never been swimming before." he tells him.
Billy had to look up at the man who was slightly taller than him before looking past him at the girl who was breathing heavily. He then saw her gaze flicker up at him, his breath getting caught in his throat when he realized how cute she looked and noticed a purity/innocence in her eyes. Her eyes then flickered downward and Billy's attention turned back to the taller man before him.
"Okay, well…next time, make sure she's more careful." he says.
"Trust me, there won't be a next time." Billy heard a slightly deeper voice say.
Billy quickly glanced at the other man who had spoken before turning around and walking back to the life guard chair.
"What were you two thinking?!" Dean shouted at the twins, keeping his voice low as he reprimanded them.
Jack and Ruby looked down, feeling ashamed.
"Opening a doorway between worlds, after everything we went through with Michael?! Coming here while we were out. Do you know what could have happened to you guys?" he asked them.
"W-we're sorry Dean. Ruby, just wanted to get out of the bunker for a bit. I should have kept my ground when she asked to open a doorway." Jack apologized.
Dean sighed, trying to hold his temper. Castiel knelt down to Ruby's height who was still sitting on the ground. He held his hand out and his eyes began to glow as did the hand that hovered over the girl. The Winchesters stood watch, making sure no one could see what he was doing. It wasn’t long until Cas stood up again.
"She's alright. Just a little spooked is all." he says.
Ruby eventually stood up, wobbling a little. Jack moved towards his sister but, Sam held him back. He turned to look at the younger Winchester before taking a step back.
"C'mon, we're getting out of here and going back home." Dean said, grabbing Ruby's wrist.
He began to walk, dragging the girl behind him which earned the attention of some of the people at the pool. Sam saw their looks before catching up with his brother and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, let her go. You're getting stares man. And not the good kind." he tells his brother.
Dean looked around quickly, noticing the stares he got before letting go of Ruby's wrist. Ruby looked down at her wrist, which was now free, before speed walking past Dean and darting towards of the pool. Billy watched the girl go, wanting to go after her because he could tell she was upset but, he couldn't go anywhere until his shift was over.
"Ruby!" Billy heard a familiar voice shout after the girl. His gaze moved over to the group of guys that was left behind when the girl fled.
Now he knew the pretty girl's name. He thought about how he was going to get to her before anyone else, still making sure to keep an eye on the pool.
Dean sighed, "Great" he grumbled.
Castiel turned to Jack, "Why don't you go find your sister and let me know where you find her. Sam and I will talk with Dean." the angel tells the boy.
Jack nodded. He took a few steps before pausing and turned back to the others.
"It'll be faster if I flew there but, there's a lot of people looking." he tells them.
Sam looked around, trying to think of something when his gaze landed on the pool. He looked around again before turning to the young Nephilim.
"Jump in the pool, you can disappear from there." he tells him.
Jack tilted his head a bit, "Won't someone notice that I don't come up for air?" he asked.
"Yeah, probably. But, that's why Dean's going to distract anyone watching." Sam said.
"What?!" Dean exclaimed, looking at his baby brother.
Sam sighed at his brother's reaction. "Look, Jack has to go after Ruby before she's gets upset. It's faster if he flies but, there's still some people staring at us. Mostly older women. So you need to turn on that Dean Winchester charm so Jack can get away." he tells his brother.
Dean looked around the pool to see that his brother was speaking the truth. Older women, most likely moms, were staring in their direction, mostly at him. He sighs before looking at Jack, who's just staring up at him.
"Alright, fine. Go kid." he tells him.
Jack nods his head and makes his way to the edge of the pool before looking at Dean. The older Winchester sighs again before taking his top layer off. He then begins to unbutton his flannel before slowly peeling it off, feeling the burning gazes of the older women. Once his flannel was off, Dean was left in his black undershirt and jeans. He spared a glance at his brother, who nodded his head and he looked at Jack. He nodded to the kid and Jack jumped into the water. The attention of everyone staring at him, Sam and Cas, turned to the spot where someone had jumped in and then Dean began to remove his undershirt. Almost immediately, attention was once on him again as his shirt passed over his head. Dean moved his arms back, so he could tug his shirt off his arms and then he stood at the edge of the pool, shirtless.
With his undershirt in hand, after handing his jacket and flannel to his brother, Dean made his way to the moms lounging on some chairs nearby the lifeguard seat. He easily turned on his charm, smirking at the women who were all staring at him.
"Hello ladies." he said, causing the women to fawn over him.
Billy, who had been watching the whole thing, curious about the new people in town, grew jealous when the women's attention was pulled away from him and turned to the new guy who had teasingly removed his clothes. He then watched as the man walked over to the moms who usually had their attention on him. He was seething in the lifeguard seat, his ego damaged some.
Elsewhere: Starcourt Mall
Once Ruby had gotten out of the pool and out of eyesight of people, flew away from the pool. She appeared at a mall, more so on the side of the building. She snapped her fingers so that she was dressed once more in the clothes she had been wearing before and she was completely dry, after falling into the pool. The female Nephilim looked around, to make sure no one saw her sudden appearance before making her way into the big building. Suddenly, she was overwhelmed, seeing so many people in one place. She began walking until she came across a fountain that seemed to be in the middle of the place. She made her way over to it before beginning to spin around, slowly, in place as she looked around in wonder. A certain store caught her eye and she saw a group of kids rush inside.
She carefully made her way over to the place before looking up at the glowing sign on the front. It read, Scoops Ahoy: Ice Cream Parlor. The brunette girl walked in, seeing others inside enjoying ice cream. She made her way over to the cases of ice cream, looking at all the different flavors when a male voice interrupted her browsing.
"Ahoy there. Would you like to set sail on this ocean of flavor? I'll be your captain. My name is Steve Harrington." he said, not really looking at who he was talking to.
However, he did look up once he was met with silence only to be faced with the most prettiest girl he'd ever seen. He noticed that her eyes were a beautiful blue color.
"H-hi" Ruby said shyly.
"H-hey, what can I get cha?" Steve asked.
Ruby's eyes darted to the ice cream cases before her eyes fell on a familiar word.
"Nougat." she says.
Steve looked over to the case on his left side before pulling his ice cream scooper from out of the pocket of his apron. He twirled the scooper around in his hand before making his way over to the case where the nougat ice cream was. He grabbed a cone before opening the glass door of the case and scooped up a perfect ball of the nougat flavored ice cream then placed it on the cone before closing the door. He set his scooper down before he made his way back to the counter. He handed the cone to the pretty brunette before him and a blush dusted his cheeks when her hand briefly touched his when she grabbed the cone.
"I-it's going to b-be a $1.25" he stuttered out a little.
Ruby reached into her back pocket with her free hand to pull out the amount needed and handed it to Steve. He took the money from her and put it into the register. Ruby made to walk away when Steve called out to her.
"Wait! I didn’t get your name" he said.
Ruby turned around to look at him and smiled, "It's Ruby. Ruby Kline." she tells him.
She then sat at an empty table and Steve stared at her before his attention was drawn to the next customer. The brunette, female Nephilim had, had ice cream before so, she knew how to eat it. That's where her twin brother found her, sitting in the parlor, eating her ice cream.
"Ruby." Jack said before sitting across from her.
The girl's blue eyes lit up when she saw her brother.
"Jackie, they have nougat ice cream!" she said excitedly, holding her cone out to her brother.
Jack sighed, knowing his sister wouldn't go anywhere until he tried the ice cream. He reached out and took the cone from his sister, being careful to avoid touching his sister's skin. Once the cone was in his grasp, he brought the dessert closer to him before trying the ice cream.
"Well?" Ruby asked him expectantly.
Jack nodded his head after the ice cream melted on his tongue.
"It's good, nougat is good." he says, handing the frozen treat back to his sister.
Ruby took the treat and went back to eating the ice cream. Jack looked at his sister before sighing.
"Ruby, we've got to go back to the Winchesters and Cas." he says to her.
She sighs before giving her brother a light glare.
"Why Jack? So Dean can make us feel bad like he always does? C'mon, you know he doesn't like us because of who our father is." she tells him.
Jack sighed once more and rubbed his hand over his face, knowing that his sister was telling the truth.
"But running away? That's not going to change his mind on us. Besides, what about Cas?" he said.
Ruby sighed, deflating a bit in her seat.
"Okay, okay. Fine, lets go find them." she relents.
"We don't need to, Cas told me to let him know when I find you." Jack tells her.
The brunette Nephilim finished up her ice cream before gesturing to her brother, giving him the "go ahead" to contact their father figure. The twin brother, closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, the golden color fading back into their original blues.
"Cas said we should get some place where there isn't a lot of people around." he tells his sister.
The girl only sighs before getting up, Jack following suit. She turns to look over her shoulder, looking at Steve who was handing out ice cream.
Steve, who felt the gaze on him, looked up from where he was leaning over in the ice cream case. He saw Ruby looking over her shoulder at him before she turned her head back around and walked out with another guy, one who looked similar to her.
The Kline twins walked out of the parlor before heading out of the mall, noticing that it was dark out and headed towards a back alleyway. Once they were alone, it wasn’t long until the raven haired angel showed up, sporting his beige trench coat.
"C'mon, Dean wants to talk with you both." Castiel says before placing each of his hands on the twins' shoulders and then the three of them disappeared from the alleyway.
"HELP!" *Screams*
