Hi! You can ignore this if you don’t want my opinion, basically what I’ve noticed that bg stand that either only listen to one group or just bgs in general are obsessive over the group and gg stans, specifically who only stan one group as similar in nature, though I have personally seen it less. (Again, not all so please take with a grain of salt)

Those who are multi stan and listen to both groups tend to be less sensitive about views and awards because at that point you see how much the industry hates ggs when they’re not doing exactly what they think they should be doing or too old to infantalize, but also see the obsessive stans just put down other fans if they’re not streaming a song hundreds of time a day. Also, can I say that the fact that mass buying albums is a thing, and incentivized by companies, is so horrible in fanning these flames. It’s music y’all don’t make it your only personality trait.

I also believe views and streams mean nothing if the first 80,000 are done in three days and the other 20,000 are done in six months. Like, what made you love it so much for a three days and never listen to it again?

i mostly agree, but tbh i don't really see that many obsessive girl group stans that behave the same way (with the exception of blinks).

tbh. as someone who has been a kpop fan since 2012, streaming culture is new. and i'm pretty sure it was invented by army and really weaponized by them in 2020.

also yeah the making kpop a personality trait thing is SOOO annoying... like how twt stans will use popularity as a gotcha, like oh at least i don't stan a flop group :) like be for REAL.....

and i hate mass buying albums sooo much. like ok. i waited for seventeen's FTS album release to listen through it first to see if i liked it enough to buy. so tell me why, on the first day after album release, most of the version were sold out. i tried to buy kai's peaches album after release because i liked it so much but by the time it had been released it was sold out almost everywhere. like, yall aren't listening to these albums before buying ??????

He also cannot wear a backpack because stuff touching his wings is a no, but he can carry a green shoulder bag that holds all of his exploring necessities like band-aids and sanitizer.

Personality: Whimper is a shy and insecure teenage boy with an often aloof or worried expression on his face, but he still cant help being curious, which he gets from Hikari. It takes a while for him to come out of his shell but thanks to his best friend, Kimmy, and his ‘creators’ Hikari and Whisper, he is making great progress. He loved nature and exploring and has a hideout in the nearby forest where he likes to sit by the small stream and admire the wildlife. His favorite animals are frogs and beetles and lizards and he wants to learn about the creatures as much as possible. Whisper and Hikari are trying to get him into school or get him lessons so that he can learn and be productive, but having wings and a pointy ears wont help you fit in on earth, and having a ghost tail wont help you in Skyworld.

Other information: Other names: “whimpy” by Palutena (dont tell him) and “little buddy” by Hikari sometimes Favorite food: ice cream Favorite person: Kimmy Calls Whisper and Hikari “creator” Cries a lot. A LOT. At every little thing, but he’s getting better. Unfortunately I think there were awful fans at the smtown event a few months ago that tried to do a dark audience (as in no light sticks on) towards Chen. Ugh, that makes me so angry. I hope he feels the love of everyone else!!

I love Christmas or “string lights”. Like you, they make me feel good. During the whole year of covid I put some up inside the house to bring some happiness. I hope they can bring a level of holiday cheer to you this year. I just put up an artificial tree in my living room and a string of lights around my fireplace mantle. Other than that I put lights and garland around my front door. 🎄

Do you do any baking for the holiday? I am trying very hard not to bring sweets into my house. LOL! If I do then I eat them. Hahaha!

Oh no, I was hoping the SMTown thing went well for Chen😣 especially since you could SEE how nervous he was (at least in Suwon - I feel like he felt a bit more at ease in Tokyo) - I guess the cameras didn't show the dark audience, I didn't notice anything during the live stream... But that's also why I loved that footage I saw the other day of when Chen came out after prerecording some music show and there were K-fans waiting and he was chatting with them happily. (I meant to make them for Halloween but then I put too much effort into dinner and couldn't be bothered to BAKE something, too 😅) But to me they still count because they contain spices and cranberries, Christmas-y enough in my book. 😝 I feel you about the sweets though. I have a massive sweet tooth. The soul cakes actually aren't so sweet (and quite filling, too, haha), so I can't eat too many of them. But the typical stuff like gingerbread, I just eat wayyy too much of that when I have it at home..... so I relate. 😄

Oh, Minho's album is lovely!! I was hoping it would be in the vein of his solo song "Heartbreak" from last year and IMO the album really has that vibe, which I love. Dark and moody, it fits him very well and "Waterfall" is one of those songs I've had on repeat for hours at a time lately, it's got a special atmosphere that is SO good for dark winter nights. 🖤 Style-wise it reminds me a bit of the stuff on Kai's first album, which is still one of my favourite releases ever! Now I'm really looking forward to this week's release of the new Super Junior album. ❤️ And curious about all the upcoming SMCU stuff, especially since this year it seems there will be some actual EXO participation 🥰 and not just poor Kai by himself, haha.

hey! not me telling myself it might take a week to finish this series then completing it in a day...oh well! here’s episode 4 of the rose garden, i’ll do one or two more episodes i think! one will be a timeskip. but no spoilers for now hehe. enjoy!

“are you sure this will work?”

“of course i’m sure.” jacob replied, linking his fingers with aeri’s as the pair walked down the hallway to the foyer, where aeri knew, based on kai’s schedule, he should be standing, keeping an eye on the pair before she sent jacob off.

they begun their practiced light conversation, discussing the weather, the delicious peach tea that the cook had provided them with for their picnic, and the type of roses that were currently in bloom. jacob made sure to gaze lovingly into aeri’s eyes, and aeri made sure to flutter her eyelashes flirtatiously at him as they entered the foyer.

and there, as expected, was kai, the same icy expression on his face as always. aeri’s smile faltered, but she continued chatting animatedly, trying to ignore the twisted feeling in her gut.

then, it was time for the moment they’d prepared for.

as princess aeri murmured a “it’s such a shame you have to leave, dear jacob,” jacob slipped his hands around her neck and kissed her.

it was a light kiss, gentle and sweet, but, as jacob had predicted, it was enough to set kai off. and before aeri even pulled away from jacob’s lips, she felt herself being dragged off by the waist.

“why would you do this to me?” kai hissed as he continued pulling her down the marble floored hallways until they reached the front room in her wing of the palace. “why, aeri, when you know it can’t happen?”

aeri looked down guiltily. she hadn’t expected this kind of a reaction.

tears were rolling down kai’s cheeks as he stared into her eyes. he looked so lost, every inch of his coldness towards her melting by the moment.

she looked up, regaining her confidence. “why would you do this to me? you were so sweet and kind and caring, we were so close, everything was perfect, so why would you go and ruin it all? what did i do? if i did something wrong, can you please just tell me instead of ignoring me all the time!”

he was in shock. aeri’s cheeks had flushed pink, tears streaming down her face and her moss-coloured eyes glistening. he took a deep breath, feeling bitter again.

“you don’t understand. you never will. you’re a princess, aeri, i’m your guard. you don’t have a care in the world, your life is planned out for you, you get whatever you want. you might not see a difference between us, but i certainly do, and it’s something we can’t risk. imagine how disappointed your father would be-”

“do you think i give a shit?”

kai looked startled, staring at the seemingly perfect, always kept-together princess he knew. had she just cursed? and at her father, the king?

“do you seriously think that i’m just going to go along with whatever my father says? marry prince jacob just because he’s a royal? live my life stuck in a palace with seventeen children, one of which will be the heir to the kingdom? kai, i don’t want any of that.” aeri blurted, still crying.

“jacob doesn’t even love me. i never even loved him. he’s been helping me, kai, helping me through the pain you put me through.” she took a deep breath. “but i love you, kai, so if you’d just stop stressing an-”

kai couldn’t listen to it anymore. he reached his hand around her waist, the way he had done many days ago, except this time, he pulled her closer.

and kissed her.

and it was all aeri had ever dreamed of.

You Are My Sunshine (Otome)

You are My Sunshine is a pretty cute game, though a bit basic. Currently, it's down for maintenance (either meaning it's going to have an update or going to be completely redone). Regardless of what happens, I will be doing my summary and review based on what I've played before it was taken down. If you are curious about the game, you can watch this playthrough of the game. Thanks to Cherry for streaming the game for me and writing the summary.

The story starts out with the main character, Sunny in the library. She notes that she spends a lot of time there because her parents aren't usually home. She ends up stumbling upon the most popular student in school, Kai, before heading off to her locker, where she find a love letter. Sunny goes to meet the mystery man, only to find a dead boy and Kai, holding a knife. Before she can react, Kai pushes her onto the body and takes a picture, threatening to use it as blackmail and warning that his father is the head of police and thus he can't be convicted of crimes. He also reveals that he was the murderer of another boy that had died that year. Kai blackmails Sunny into being his girlfriend and Sunny is forced to oblige. The next day, Kai and Sunny walk to school together and encounters Sunny's friend, Jasper. Jasper jokes around that Sunny and Kai are dating, and when Kai confirms it, both Sunny and Jasper look surprised. When Jasper leaves, Kai threatens Sunny with a knife, stating that if the two get too close, he'll kill Jasper. Sunny continues to ignore Jasper for that reason, until they all have lunch together. Kai lies about Sunny telling him about Jasper's attempted suicide as well as the fact that Sunny only became friends with him out of pity, causing Jasper to become upset and leave after Sunny is forced to confirm it as true.

We get a flashback to when Sunny coaxed Jasper out of his suicide attempt by promising to be friends with him. To pull her out of her slump, Kai promises to go on a date with Sunny to make her happy. She agrees in the hope that she can convince Kai's father to help her. During the weekend, Sunny goes to Kai's place and meets his father, Aoki. She attempts to tell Aoki about Kai's murder, in hopes that he will help her, but it seems that Aoki is already aware that Kai has killed someone and she feels hopeless. At school, Sunny reconciles with Jasper and he reveals that he too has a yandere crush on Sunny, telling her that if she doesn't break up with Kai, the two will no longer be friends. Feeling hopeless, Sunny attempts to commit suicide off of the roof, but Jasper stops her, which leads to Jasper promising that he will get to the bottom of it. Kai gets close to Sunny again, monitoring her so that she won't attempt suicide again. Kai and Sunny go home together, and at Sunny's house, she gets a text from Jasper to meet up at the place where the body was found and Kai goes there as well. The last part is a choice to choose either Kai or Jasper.

If you pick Kai, Jasper will pull out a gun and kills Kai, and then shoots Sunny in the leg. He bashes Sunny's head into the pavement and takes her away.

If you pick Jasper, Kai will leave after being threatened by Jasper and Jasper brings Sunny home. The next day, Sunny realizes that Kai isn't at school and goes to his house to investigate. Sunny comes in to a hanged Jasper and Kai who promptly injects her with a tranquilizer. Upon waking up, Sunny is in a basement, where Kai continues to tranquilize her and keeps her forever.

In the true ending, we start out with a flashback with Kai, when he was a child. His parents are fighting and his father, Aoki, kills her mother as a result. Kai goes to the park, feeling sad, until Sunny shows up to cheer him up. Kai goes home and confesses to Aoki that he has fallen in love with a girl, to which Aoki offers to get a background check on her. Kai tries to befriend Sunny but fails because of his awkwardness. This leads to Kai deciding to become popular so that he can gain his confidence and get closer to Sunny. We see his point of view when he sees that Sunny has caught him murdering someone and he panics. Quickly, he's able to frame Sunny, and he feels overjoyed that she will now be by his side.

We then cut to a flashback with Jasper, where her mother gifts him a gun for self defense against his dad, whom she fears will come to take him. Jasper goes out to the park and befriends a cat while a couple of guys bully him, causing the cat to freak out and scratch Jasper. Angered, Jasper kills the cat and brings its body home. Eventually his mother finds out that Jasper has been killing animals, leading to her suffering brain damage. While she's still alive, Jasper must now take care of her mother, however, his mother ends up hating him, believing that he is Jasper's dad. Eventually, Jasper's mother dies, and out of desperation, Jasper tries to commit suicide on the roof, eventually leading up to the scene of Sunny coaxing Jasper out of it.

After all of the flashbacks, we see that before Jasper and Kai can fight each other that Aoki has appeared. He reveals that the two are half brothers, and the past with the two's mothers as well. Sunny gets kidnapped by both of them and the two end up sharing Sunny forevermore.

First of all, I actually really like the artwork for all of the characters. They look really nice and I can appreciate the attention to detail. In terms of story, I think that its pretty unique in some ways. For one, I never imagined that Jasper and Kai were half brothers, but looking back, it does make sense why, considering their behaviors. While Kai is more of a manipulative and obsessive yandere, Kai in turn is more possessive and violent. The two have different ways of getting what they want, with Kai using his wit and manipulation while Jasper uses his strength and closeness with Sunny. For Kai, I find it nice that the reveal was so quick, and it was kind of refreshing to see him shut down Sunny's avenues of escape in terms of trying to turn her in and blackmailing her so that she wouldn't escape. Most yanderes I see are usually better at keeping their obsessiveness out of sight, so it was interesting to see Kai use all of these at his disposal. For Jasper, it was more of the traditional slow love, where we don't actually see his yandere behavior until it was too late, especially since he seemed like the saner of the two until the end.

In terms of backstory, I think they both have elements of what a more basic yandere is generally like, with one growing in fame to get the girl that he likes while the other is more sadistic, killing off animals for pleasure. Of course, the game is able to expand more on that in different ways, with Kai having his father Aoki to help him get away with crimes and learn more about Sunny through the background checks while we learn that Jasper had a more difficult life with him having to take care of his mother until her death. I think it's also cool that we're able to see more of Jasper's side of things, since in the game he is much more cool-headed than in his POV, at least from what I can tell. It's neat to see the contrast between the two at this point.

Still though, despite the game embodying a more serious tone, I still couldn't help but laugh at some parts of it that probably weren't meant to be funny. The first part is just that Jasper's mother straight up just GAVE a gun to her ten-year-old son, which I understand is for self-defense and she's not completely in her right mind, but something about it was just really funny to me, especially since it was like, "Here son, have this GUN." The other thing was that at some point, Kai asks his dad Aoki for advice on how to deal with Jasper, to which he suggests instead of stabbing each other the two have a fistfight, you know like normal boys do. There's nothing really wrong with these two moments, but I just feel like I wasn't supposed to find them funny when I found them way, way too funny, haha.

Overall, the game was pretty fun to play through and had its interesting moments as well. Hopefully, when it comes back after maintenance, it'll be a fun experience for you too!

A Walk to Remember

Summary: You tag along on a walk with Kyungsoo, Chanyeol, and Zzar to film a vlog for Chanyeol’s Youtube channel. Along the way, sparks fly between you and Kyungsoo. With the help of Chanyeol and Zzar, will the two of you walk off together into the sunset?

A/N: Thank you to Anon for the request for a drabble about Kyungsoo and Chanyeol’s most recent vlog! I ended up making this a full-length one shot rather than a drabble because I liked the prompt so much! This came at the perfect time and was so much fun to write. Cheers!

Little big moments.

Small minute decisions that in the moment seem inconsequential, but in actuality, change the course of your life in a grand way.

Looking back, you noted the chain of events that brought you to your current life position: a big move in elementary school away from everything you knew, your mother forcing you to join choir club to socialize, meeting your best friend, Haewon, in the soprano section, learning Korean and gaining an appreciation for Korean culture by spending what seemed like almost all your time at Haewon’s house up through high school, deciding to double-major in photography and Korean in college, Haewon suggesting you take a gap year after graduation to teach English in South Korea, an acquaintance there recommending you for a photography/video gig with a company she worked at.

All of these little big moments lead to you getting hired at SM Entertainment to assist a popular boy group with maintaining their social media presence. You’d jumped at the chance to put your artistic skills to work, using your talents for setting up aesthetic photos and filming engaging vlogs. Looking back, you pinched yourself almost on the daily just to make sure you weren’t dreaming. Because working for EXO was something of a dream come true, if you were honest. Though you were pretty starstruck at first, you kept it professional at work, always cognizant of the fact that the boys were just regular human beings who just happened to be mega-uber-exceptionally talented. You liked to think you played it pretty cool most of the time, not wanting to let on that you were a huge fan, thankful none of the members would ever see your bedroom back home in the States, covered in EXO posters and album photocards.

You’d gotten the opportunity to work with most of the members, besides Lay who was not currently in Korea. Game streams with Sehun and Chanyeol, mukbangs or crafty vlogs with Baekhyun, “Peaches” content with Kai, song covers with Chen, backstage Hadestown snippes with Xiumin, post-military escapades with Suho, and several attempted cooking vlogs with a begrudging Kyungsoo. Today was relatively easy work in comparison to some of your more recent assignments. A simple walk with an on-military-break Chanyeol, his dog Zzar, and Kyungsoo. Or at least it should have been simple.

You weren’t nervous. Nope. Absolutely not. Liar.

You couldn’t lie, you were nervous. Kyungsoo was your secret crush. You loved listening to his music, his runs and ad libs added so much to many beloved EXO hits, and his sweet solo album gave you butterflies. You admired his kind, quiet personality, serious, but with a hidden comedic talent that made you smile.

But this wasn’t a fan event where you could fangirl over your fave. This was work. And you prided yourself on being professional, even in the face of your ult bias.

So, camera in hand, you made your way to the meeting spot, a park with walking trails and plenty of green space for Zzar to roam. It wasn’t long before you saw a familiar sight loping towards you. A large man dressed in a plaid yellow shirt was being led towards you by a small, white ball of fluff.

“Zzar!” You called out to the snowball, who upon closer inspection, was dressed in a white, striped doggy outfit.

You bent down to give pets to the adorable puppy in front of you, whilst she jumped around excitedly trying to give you happy licks. Looking up, you greeted Chanyeol and made small talk about the format of the video before segueing into chit chat about his recent experiences in a military musical. You enjoyed talking to Chanyeol, he was incredibly easy-going and fun to be around, but also serious when the situation called for it. Plus, you had to admit that his new persona as a dog dad was very endearing.

The only thing that made you feel ill at ease around him was the sneaking suspicion that Chanyeol knew about your secret or you guessed, not-so-secret crush on Kyungsoo. You weren’t sure what could have given you away, but the side glances when you and Kyungsoo were anywhere near each other, not to mention the multiple times he’d sent you on nonsensical “errands” to Kyungsoo couldn’t have been coincidences. You hoped, maybe naively, that with Zzar present, he’d spend more time focusing on her and less time on you and Kyungsoo.

Case in point, the tall man in front of you was all but cooing at the small animal from behind his mask while simultaneously digging around in a large, crossbody bag for a treat. Wanting to make sure you captured all of the cuteness on film, you got your camera ready and hit the record button. Several minutes later, movement from the corner of your eye cued you into the arrival of the final participant.

Kyungsoo made his way towards the three of you, decked out in his characteristic all-black ensemble. Chaneyol called a greeting and set Zzar down, who had started excitedly straining for freedom from his arms once she caught sight of Kyungsoo. Typically a stoic penguin most of the time, Kyungsoo around dogs was anything but. Running cutely forward, Kyungsoo greeted Zzar as if he was speaking to a tiny baby, melting your heart just a little bit further.

Pausing your recording, you waited as Chanyeol and Kyungsoo chatted a bit. You took the time to take in your surroundings, feeling comforted by the trees and greenery around you, something you missed living in the big city. The smell of the plants, especially the green moss, reminded you of blissful days just after a rainfall back in the States. You took in a big breath, enjoying the quiet moment of peace–which was then promptly interrupted by the sound of Zzar barking, clearly communicating to her humans, “Let’s go!”. Not one to argue with the Princess, you quickly filled Kyungsoo in on the plan for the vlog and before long, you set off, film rolling.

Given the mobile nature of a walking vlog, you had predicted that it would involve some creativity in terms of filming–namely a lot of walking backwards hoping that you didn’t fall flat on your face. What you hadn’t predicted were the many hills and stairs at the park. Walking backwards up the stairs while simultaneously trying to keep your camera was surprisingly difficult. Ever the extrovert, Chanyeol chatted merrily about taking Zzar to the vet while Kyungsoo nodded along, dutifully playing out his role as Zzar’s dog walker.

“No, Zzar, don’t go that way,” Chanyeol chastised, when Zzar had tried to roll in the mud. Ever the helicopter parent, he’d picked her up and placed her back on the path, saying “You’ll get it dirty”, referring to her adorable white doggie coat.

Continuing up the stairs, the three continued on, long stretches of silence settling in, which honestly didn’t feel out of place between the two men who’d been friends for more than a decade. You reached up to adjust your zoom and—BAM–you felt your foot slip on the edge of the step, sending you falling backwards. On reflex, you kept a tight hold on your camera with your right hand, while using your free left hand to break your fall. Now on the ground, you felt a stinging sensation on your palm, though thankfully your bum had taken the brunt of the fall. Pressing the pause button on the camera, you stopped to inspect your palm, seeing small pieces of gravel embedded in a good-sized scrape that was starting to bleed slightly.

“Y/N!”, you heard Chanyeol’s voice call out in concern.

You saw Kyungsoo bound towards you, then felt his warm hands on your forearms, lifting you up off the ground.

“Are you okay?” Kyungsoo asked. Once you were back on your feet, Kyungsoo lightly gripped your wrist, his eyes zeroing in on the scrape on your hand.

“Chanyeol–”

“Yeah, I’ve got it,” Chanyeol interrupted before Kyungsoo could finish. Putting Zzar’s leash around his wrist, Chanyeol dug through his back, producing a small first-aid kit and handing it off to Kyungsoo.

“Oh no, please don’t worry about it,” you put up your hands, attempting to reassure the two men, “it’s only a little scrape and I don’t want to hold up filming with my clumsiness.”

“Nonsense,” said Kyungsoo, “your hand looks like it hurts, let’s get it taken care of so it doesn’t get infected.”

With that, the ever-pragmatic Kyungsoo led you up the stairs, stopping a short way up at a small landing, guiding you to sit on the bench there. Your breath stuck in your chest as Kyungsoo crouched in front of you, placing the first-aid kit carefully beside you. You’d never been this close to him before and you felt a blush suffice your cheeks. You felt the heartbeat in your palm beating fast like a drum, hoping it wasn’t a dead giveaway.

You watched as Kyungsoo produced a bottle of water and then dumped it over your cut in an attempt to clean it and get some of the gravel out. You winced as the water poured over the frayed skin, closing your eyes to ward against the pain. Desperate to focus on something else, you basked in the subtle scent of his cologne that wafted from his body as he moved. The pain gradually lessened and you observed as Kyungsoo pragmatically applied an antibiotic ointment before wrapping your palm in a bandage. As Kyungsoo put away the first-aid supplies, you attempted to make conversation, despite the feeling that you no longer remembered how to make a coherent sentence.

“Kyungsoo–thank you, I really appreciate you taking care of me today. I’m sorry I held up the filming–I’m sure you have a lot of other things to get to,” you started.

Kyungsoo smiled, bashfully rubbing his hand on the back of his neck.

“I don’t have anything–I mean, I couldn’t let you–you’re welcome–I just-just–,” flustered, Kyungsoo attempted to get his words out, “–infections are serious, Y/N, you should go to the hospital once we get done filming–better yet–why don’t you go right now?”

You chuckled at Kyungsoo’s serious words while your heart fluttered in your chest at the thought of his concern for you. You assured him you were fine, not wanting to delay the filming any longer, knowing your boss wanted this completed sooner rather than later.

Mind back on your original task, you glanced around the small space, noting for the first time the absence of Chanyeol and Zzar.

“Chanyeol probably took Zzar to the bathroom,” Kyungsoo supplied after noticing your questioning glance.

With that, a companionable silence settled over the two of you. You appreciated being able to spend time with Kyungsoo, watching the birds and enjoying the soft sounds of nature, without the pressure of constant conversation.

A joyful yip coming towards you announced the return of Zzar and her owner. Chanyeol took in the sight of the two of you sitting side-by-side before coming over to ask about your fall. After assuring him you were fine, you motioned for them to continue on with the vlog. Grabbing your camera from your bag, you missed the look Chanyeol gave to Kyungsoo. What you didn’t miss was Kyungsoo whacking Chanyeol’s arm hard enough that the larger man winced. You looked over at them both questioningly, but the two went about their business like nothing happened.

Back on the path, you came up the hill to a tennis court, Chanyeol noting the presence of another dog friend for Zzar, a big, fluffy Samoyed-looking dog. Zzar showed no fear, sniffing at the larger dog, tail wagging. After that brief rendezvous, Chanyeol showed off some tricks he’d been teaching Zzar, who was very enthusiastic to perform for treats. You traded off filming from behind and from the front, hoping to get a good variety of angles. As the walk came to an end, Kyungsoo held Zzar close as Chanyeoll produced a pack of wet wipes and proceeded to gently cleanse each of Zzar’s tiny paws of mud. Giving Zzar many sweet kisses through his mask, Kyungsoo reluctantly handed Zzar back to Chanyeol, giving her some last head pats.

In truth, you loved seeing Kyungsoo around animals, especially dogs. You wondered what he was like with his own dogs. You imagined he was probably pretty much the same or even more adorable. You remembered watching the video of him filming with his dog, Meokmul, for a fashion spread. You had giggled so hard when he’d done a voiceover for his dog, referring to himself as “appa”. Kyungsoo was so soft around animals and you really loved seeing that cute, squishy side of him. You hoped you’d get the privilege of seeing more of that soon.

As you packed up your gear, you noticed Chanyeol dip his head toward Kyungsoo as they whispered together. You couldn’t make out too much, but you thought you heard the words, “no”, “later”, and “coffee” in the mix. Chanyeol gave Kyungsoo an exasperated look before declaring he was “beat” and had to get home to give Zzar a bath. Clapping Kyungsoo on the shoulder, Chanyeol bid farewell and walked speedily off, leaving you and Kyungsoo alone.

You bent down to reach for your camera bag, but a hand stopped you.

“No, please, I got it, I’ll carry it for you–you’re injured anyway,” Kyungsoo said as he slung the bag over his shoulder.

“That’s so kind of you, Kyungsoo, but I can’t make you carry my equipment. I work for you,” you said, exasperated. He was Kyungsoo, EXO’s D.O., how could he carry your things when you essentially worked for him?

“You work for me?” he said, eyebrows raised, “All right then, since you work for me, let’s just say I ordered you to let me carry your stuff for you….that sound good?”

Kyungsoo winked, grinning at you as though he had just told the world’s best joke. He was teasing you, you realized. Good lordy, Do Kyungsoo was teasing you.

“Hmmm, I guess that makes sense,” you said noncommittally, not wanting him to realize he was making you flustered.

“Excellent, I’m glad we’re on the same page. Which way do you live? I’ll walk you home.”

You told him your address and he nodded before motioning you to walk along with him. As you walked alongside him, you felt butterflies in your stomach, your body hypeware of his movements. When his hand accidentally brushed yours, you both blushed hotly, quick to pull your hands away as you felt an electric spark of connection.

As the two of you got further and further into the distance, Chanyeol stepped out from where he’d hid behind a tree. Glancing towards the two of you, he felt disappointed that Kyungsoo hadn’t used the opportunities he’d created to make a move on you. Chanyeol had left you two alone while taking Zzar on a “bathroom break” and deliberately made a point to leave first, hoping Kyungsoo would break the ice. He’d known for a while that Kyungsoo had a little crush on you, noting the blushes and soft smiles in your direction that he didn’t normally see in the shorter man. Heck, he’d even sent you on a bunch of bogus errands to Kyungsoo just so Kyungsoo could see you more often. He didn’t think you’d noticed, realizing that both you and Kyungsoo were pretty dense when it came to romance. But today, seeing you and Kyungsoo shyly walking home together, Chanyeol had hope for Kyungsoo still.

“Zzar, we did good today, don’t you think? Maybe we’ll have to interfere more often.”

Zzar wagged her tail in agreement. Placing a kiss on her head, the wingman and the wingdog made their way home, satisfied with a hard day’s work.
