sorry! i will not ever write a syo kurusu x reader. he is the only character i will do this for!!!! i have a very special attachment to syo kurusu. i will write x readers for other utapri boys but not syo. he loves me the most in the whole wide world!!!

syo finally had time for a ‘date’ while he was out on tour. making time in his temporary room somewhere cold in Europe. we caught up and i told him how work was going. he told me that once he gets back he wants to talk about me working less. but he understands my desire to be busy instead of wandering around such a big and lonely house. we decided to paint our nails to match. at first i was worried about people asking him about the strange pattern, but he assured me he was going to be on a radio show. unless the host brought it up, there was nothing to fear.

“have you been eating properly?”

his sudden question caused me to flinch as I stiffened up in the camera screen. my attention turned to the tips of my toes now curled in my fuzzy socks and i smiled weakly. “uhhhm… yes.” i lied, and i felt bad about it. i had my phone propped up on the night stand, tilted against the lamp as i painted my nails with syo on the other end doing the same. his suspicious frown made me antsy. “what did you eat for dinner?” he asked as i paused with my painting. “toast.” my response was too fast.

now he knew i was lying. “why havent you been eating?” his voice softened as i raised my eyes to watch him screw the cap back onto the small bottle of pastel pink polish. “im eating! i just havent been feeling very good.” not entirely a lie. i didnt want syo to worry about me. ever since we met, hes been the only person to encourage me to eat during the day. even going as far as to praise me when i did, as if i completed a herculean task. “i dont like eating alone too so… since youve been gone i dont really have anyone to eat with.” i laughed tiredly as i went back to painting my nails, leaving my pinkie nails pastel pink, while the rest were black. syo had done the opposite so we would match. 

“ill be back the moment our tour ends. im sorry i couldnt bring you on the road with me.” he apologized before blowing on his nails to assist them in drying quickly. “its fine. it wouldnt be a good idea for me to come along anyway, idols arent supposed to be married.” i teased and pulled my knees closer to my chest. “then what are we?” syos question made me look up in thought. “well, if any rabid teen girls ask, im your stylist! or… im a girl with an obsession whos stalking you!” i suggested, but syo didnt seem too amused with my ideas. his electric blue eyes bore into me through the screen of the phone.

“i would rather say youre my wife.”

i could feel my face burning all the way up to my ears. “maybe when you officially decide to retire.” i muttered as i started to blow on my nails as well. “when i retire, i want to tell the world that were married.” syo stated as i looked at the phone, feeling my face start to sting from the heat. “and that weve been married for a long time.” i was always against the idea. i saw it as a safety issue, and so did most of the staff in charge of STARISH. an idol is in love with his fans, he should be married to his work. not some girl no one has ever heard of. 

“haha! you havent blushed like that in a long time!” syo snickered as i leaned to hide my face from the screen, laughing to myself as i imagined being in the public eye, hanging off of syos arm. i was scared, but it was also exciting. 

as our nails dried and exhaustion set in, he watched me preform my nightly routine of stuffing my hair into my bonnet and cleaning my glasses. “you have to work tomorrow? i want to look at something less physical for you-”

“i like doing physical stuff.”

“honey, thats what a gym is for… well… actually… no, nevermind.” 

he trailed off and i started to pout. “what? tell me.” i asked before starting to smile. “do i look sexy in my bonnet?” i asked jokingly before starting to pose for the camera with a smile. “yes, as always. but thats not what i was going to say.” his laugh was weak and my smile began to evaporate as i made my way to our shared bed that would be hosting only one person tonight. “you just… look smaller than when i saw you last.” syo explained with a frown as i crawled under the weighted blanket and pulled his pillow closer to my side. 

it still carried his scent of apples and undertones of flora.

“Its just the camera. i look the same.” it might be a lie, ive been working on loosing weight but i didnt think it was noticeable. “... did you really eat dinner?” the sound of hurt in his voice made me feel even guiltier now. “no… but i promise i did eat today. i just dont feel good.” my stomach started to churn. “im sorry…” i apologized, sniffling and quickly wiping away my tears. “im not upset with you. i didnt mean to make you cry…” he trailed off as i turned off the lights and shut off the camera. “im crying because i lied… thats all…” it was just a hard topic. and when he caught me i always felt terrible. “lets talk about something else before bed, like what we want to do when i see you again.”

i smiled and nodded beside the phone as i took my glasses off and dropped them on the nightstand. “can you sleep with me tonight?” i requested meekly as i laid the phone on his pillow, inching closer and closer while wishing he was there beside me. “of course i can.”

we spoke quietly about our date ideas when we finally met again, all while i admired my pastel pinkie nail in the darkness of our bedroom. and i had a feeling syo was looking at the black nail he painted.

Info: I could watch the Special thanks to a sweet friend and I loved it so much! It was sooo good! I got so inspired by one specific scene with Syo that I just had to write a Shortcakes story based on it… 👉🏻👈🏻

One beautiful, sunny day…

“Babe? Was it really a good idea to bring me with you on your guys’ vacation?”

Syo and the rest of STARISH got a more than deserved vacation as a reward for working so hard. They chose to go glamping…and my husband decided to bring me along. The trip to our destination was very eventful, if I may say so myself. From funny stories and many pictures to looking for two lost children’s parents. (Don’t worry, the story has a good ending!) We arrived here a little bit ago, though, and now I was watching Syo preparing some firewood for a campfire later in the evening. My blonde man swung the axe and split another log before wiping his forehead with his hand. He turned to me with a smile.

“Of course, it was a good idea! The guys were very excited to have you here! Besides, you ARE a part of STARISH in your own way! You deserved a vacation after you’ve worked so hard, too.”, he answered.

I shook my head, amused, but couldn’t keep a light chuckle in. Syo came over to me where I was sitting on a bunch of other wooden logs. I knew what he wanted, we had been doing that for a while on repeat after all, so I took a few of them and then placed them in my husband’s arms. He leaned down to kiss my cheek.

“My utmost thanks, my Princess~!”

“Hihi! You’re very welcome, my Prince~!”

Syo went back to his previous place and continued with his work. There wasn’t much I could do with my condition but at least I could help my husband a little with his task. And later, I knew that I got put in charge of preparing some side dishes for our dinner. Syo told me that it was quickly decided that I would be on “kitchen duty”, when it was sure that I’d come with them.

“They love your food, Princess, and so do I!”, he told me.

It warmed my heart that they liked my cooking so much. But the most important compliments for me always came from Syo.

I watched on as my blonde husband split log after log and my eyes slowly wandered to his exposed muscular biceps. Years of training and working out really showed here. I knew that I won’t ever get used to this sight.

*He is so strong and handsome…and MY husband…woah…*

Suddenly, I felt like someone was watching me. I turned my head and saw Ren, who was lying in a hammock not too far from us, looking at me.

*Seriously?! I thought he was asleep?!*

Ren’s lips formed into a sly smile, then he looked at Syo and back at me again while wiggling his eyebrows. My light blue eyes widened in shock and embarrassment. I got caught red-handed! I felt my cheeks flush into probably the deepest red known to humanity and hid my face in my hands. The metal of my wedding ring felt cold against my heavily heated skin. I could almost hear Ren’s teasing chuckle ringing in my ears.

*Please, God, make the earth swallow me whole…*

“Princess? Are you okay?”, I heard Syo ask.

I slowly looked up and saw Syo as he just crouched down to my eye level. There was a worried glint in his blue eyes. I nodded my head.

“Y-yes, I’m fine! Uh, I think it’s the heat! It’s pretty hot today, y’know?”, I answered quickly.

My husband took one of his protective gloves off and gently touched my red cheeks and then my forehead. I relaxed a little under his cool touch.

“Yeah, you’re pretty flushed. Do you wanna go inside? I know you’re very sensitive. I don’t want you to get a heat stroke or something...”

*Gosh, he’s so sweet. I don’t deserve him.*

“N-no, really! I’m fine! I’ll drink lots of water to stay cool! Don’t worry, babe!”

Syo nodded slightly, not fully convinced, and took something next to us. He put his purple hat onto my head. It fit me perfectly which put a warm feeling inside my chest.

“If you’re really sure. Just, please keep the hat on for the rest of the time you’re outside, okay? And if you’re starting to feel sick or dizzy, please tell me, Princess! Promise?”

I smiled at my husband. Always looking out for me since we met all those years ago. I was truly grateful.

“Promise.”, I said.

Syo nodded again and kissed my forehead before he took a few more logs and went back to work. I turned towards Ren again but his eyes were closed. I knew from that lingering smile on his face that he wasn’t really asleep, though. I shook my head. Even though he teased me or us both greatly, I also knew how big of a supporter he is of Syo and I. We could always count on him. I was really thankful for that.

*Thank you for everything, Orange Rhapsody…*

Soon the rest of the logs were all split into smaller pieces. Ren was kind enough to take the first batch to the campfire site, but not before secretly winking at me for one last time.

Syo and I each picked up the remaining wood pieces with him carrying most of it. The way over to the campfire, well, soon to be campfire, was pretty nice. I loved camping. Syo and I had already done that a lot in the past. Even though glamping wasn’t exactly the same experience, I enjoyed myself.

After my husband and I reached the site, we put the split wood next to Ren’s batch. The ginger wasn’t anywhere near in sight. The wind suddenly picked up a little and I closed my eyes. I could smell the flowers and heard the birds nearby. It was so serene.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw my blonde man looking at me with a loving grin on his face. I blushed.

“I-is everything alright, babe?”, I asked curiously.

“Yes, everything’s okay. Sorry, just, you look really beautiful right now. You always do...”

Syo came closer and wrapped his arms around my waist. I put mine on his chest. My husband’s blue eyes looked even more gorgeous. I could lose myself in them every time.

“…And I’m glad that you’re enjoying yourself. You really look at peace here.”, Syo continued.

“That’s because I am! Thank you…”

“Of course, Princess! You’re very welcome.”

I looked down at my wrist watch to check the time. It was almost time for me to start cooking. Oh, how much I wished for that moment to never end.

“Well, soon it’s dinner time~! I have to check in with Masato before, though.”, I said to my husband.

“Ah, I can’t wait to eat your food again, Princess! It’s been like a whole DAY without it. Can you give me a little hint on what you’ll make…~?”

“Hm…well, ‘pasta salad with bacon’ is one part of it~!”

Syo’s eyes widened and a big grin appeared. Haha, bullseye.

“Omg, my favorite?! You’re the best wife ever, you know that!? I love you, Princess!”, he exclaimed before pressing his lips to mine.

I couldn’t help but to smile into the kiss. I was so happy that HE was happy. We stayed like this for a little while, neither of us wanted it to end.

After we broke the kiss, I heard rustling from nearby. Syo seemed to notice it, too. Before we even had the chance to look at what it was, a young redhead fell through the bush and landed only a few meters in front of us. Otoya. And after him came Cecil.

“What…? Were you guys spying on us?”, asked Syo pretty confused.

I was so embarrassed that I got caught AGAIN and just hid my face in my husband's chest. He wrapped his arms tighter around me.

“Well, Ren said we should give you a little privacy!”, answered Cecil.

*Ren?*

I could hear more rustling and Syo’s “Ren!” confirmed my suspicion of who it was. Were they here the whole time? Omg, so embarrassing…

“Now, now. Let me explain, Ochibi-chan~!”, I heard Ren say.

“We were here, yes, but it’s true what Cesshi said. I said to these two that we should give you, the married couple, a little time alone. But you came here sooner than expected so we had to think fast. I’m truly sorry.”

“We actually wanted to leave just now but I lost my footing and fell. I’m sorry, we really didn’t mean to spy!”, explained Otoya.

“I’m really sorry, too!”, added Cecil.

There was a moment of silence. Then I heard my husband’s voice.

“I-It’s okay, guys. You didn’t mean any harm. But I think you spooked my wife…”

“Are you okay, Little Jewels?”, asked Ren.

I looked up and met Ren’s gaze. I nodded. I really was okay. Nobody needed to feel guilty.

“Yes, I’m okay! Just a little embarrassed, honestly…”

“Don’t worry~! Your Prince will protect you, I’m sure.”

That actually made me giggle.

“O-okay, enough with the teasing, Ren!”, said Syo finally.

Ren just threw his hands up in a lighthearted defeat while everyone was laughing. Moments like these really made me happy. Not only did I win a wonderful husband with Syo but a whole family with the rest of STARISH.

I looked over to Syo and he looked back smiling. When he gave me another peck on my cheek, I felt again how lucky I was.

“I love you, Princess…”, he whispered into my ear.

“I love you too, babe…”

After your hiatus, can you do a Yandere!Yamato (I don't know why, but I'm attracted to this guy from HEAVENS) x Reader in a Fairy Tale AU loosely based on Romeo and Juliet (but without the tragic ending). Set it in Victorianesque-era? The protagonists are from rival households (Raging and Shining if it'll make it easier) and as children, Yamato first encounters the reader from a distance (he sees her on the balcony of her bedroom and wandering through the mansion gardens) and becomes infatuated with her (leads into obsession). They finally meet at a party where the reader has her society debut (social gatherings are the only time the households have to be in each other's presence despite their rivalry) and his obsession with her intensifies, so much that he does crazy things just to be near her. I'll leave the rest of the story up to you!

"Oh! Miss YN! You can't be dilly-dallying for so long! You must be prepared for tonight!" Your loyal maid, Tomochika cried out loud.

Once again, you had to leave your beloved balcony, your daydreaming haven for other business. You sighed, shifting your cardigan back on. You snapped out of your trance when your maid caught your attention.

"YN! What are you thinking about?!"

You huffed, confessing to your dear friend the person who haunted your daydreams. "A certain man…"

The gasp from Tomochika was expected. You knew how much of a sucker she was for a good romance. You let her have her giddy episode, as she hopped and skipped with joy.

"Who is he?!"

She repeated the question over and over again, shaking your shoulders. Before you could even reply, she listed off name after name of most likely handsome lords and barons.

"Is it Duke Ichinose?! Oh, but you've never seen him before…" She thought about it once again. "No, no, it should be the foreign Prince Camus! He's just come to the nation and all the ladies must be swooning~ Or is it the Kurusu twins?! One's a scholar and the other's a knight, certainly a great package-"

"It's… Lord Hyuga…"

CRASH!

The collision of the metal tray and the stone floor resonated throughout the room.

Tomochika grabbed onto your wrists, shaking you. "Y-You mean the older brother right?! The- The brother that leads the Neutral Faction, and not-"

"Lord Yamato Hyuga…"

"Y-YN… I feel faint…"

Tomochika dramatically fell over onto your bed, wanting to scream. "YN, I really care for you, but…"

You hesitated. "I know what you might say…"

"How?!" She asked, on her knees, tugging the end of your dress. "You know it's a hopeless love, please YN, I want you to be happy!"

You shrugged her off, stooping to her level. "I know… I know it's impossible…"

You comforted her, hugging her. Your tears also soaked her uniform, as you couldn't stop the way you felt. It felt useless to have such feelings.

The world wouldn't change itself for your sake after all.

"…And that is what I overheard from the LN estate, Yamato." Shion reported. Undergoing such an operation would be called mad, but there was no guarantee that Yamato would be safe, especially when it came to things regarding YN.

"Van also reported that the Head of the LN Family plans to undergo a political marriage," Yamato added, staring at the map of the division of land. As a local of the Otori Faction, it was damn near impossible to get close to her, but with all of his plans finally falling in place, he might just achieve his one goal.

"I'll visit Eichii tonight," He announced to Shion. "He can have the LN's land for all I care. I just want YN…"

"Understood, Lord Yamato."

The cheerful joys of the townspeople would soon be ruined, Yamato thought to himself, as he rode the same carriage as the Kurusu twins and Count Shinomiya.

"Hoi, Yamato," Syo called out. "I know you're mostly doing this on your own, so I wanna apologise for not contributing sooner."

He shook his head. "The one you should be apologising to is Eichii. After all, I just want to get my darling and get out," He admitted. He got a tiny kick out of the Kurusu scholar, Kaoru looking so shocked at his intentions. "If Kira hadn't found out about the utter corruption going on in the Shining Faction, I might've just lived on with a broken heart."

Count Natsuki grinned, patting his shoulder. "What a lovestruck lad, don't you agree Syo-chan? But it isn't as cute as you two~"

The usual teasing between the three went on, as Yamato prepared his disguise. Everything had to go picture perfect, otherwise he'd die trying.

"Your attendant, Count Shinomiya?" The servant asked.

Count Shinomiya was excellent at hiding a true façade, as he was well-known for being a happy-go-lucky man. "Why yes. Thank you for inquiring so."

Once Yamato entered the debut ball, he bolted to the balcony, beyond the gardens and there he found you…

He climbed over the walls, hopping over to you. He couldn't stop himself from twirling you around, kissing your cheek and peppering kisses over your face.

"My YN… I've missed you…"

Your reddened face and your dress just made Yamato want to whisk you away… "YN, you should be prepared. Don't be afraid when people start bursting in. Stick close to the stairs or the walls. I'll find you."

You could only nod, hesitant about what Yamato could mean.

Your heart thumped, simply waiting for the disaster to begin. Your usual self wouldn't want such harm, but this was a chance. A chance to escape the constricted life that you lead on…

The scream of a woman alerted you that the assailants were breaking through the glass of the room. Tomochika immediately rushed to your side, holding onto your arm as you both sunk to the ground.

The men in dark clothes knocked out a number of guests, leaving the higher nobles alive and standing. You could only assume that Yamato also had the men corner the other guards and knights.

A man approached you, hugging you by the waist and revealing himself as Yamato Hyuga. A few gasps rung through the room, and your cousin flew into a fury.

"What is the meaning of this?! We had a truce! You dare defile the contrac-"

Before your cousin could utter another word, Yamato silenced him with his sword.

He looked over your family in utter disgust, wasting no time to order his men to execute them.

"Ya-Yamato?" You were in tears, seeing your family killed and other nobles killed. You could only assume that the nobles left alive were working with Yamato as well.

He got on one knee, kissing your hand. "What is it YN? With this rebellion, we can be free to marry. You can be my wife, forever…"

You shivered, instinctively pulling away from his hand. You immediately regretted it, as your lover had a look of utter disappointment on his face.

"What is it YN? Don't you love me?"

"Y-Yes I do but-"

"Then is it so hard?...

Steaks and threats ( KURUSU SYO x reader ft. kurosaki Ranmaru.)

Being the rocker's sister had its perks. You got free tickets to all of QUARTET NIGHT's concerts, free Kotobuki lunches when Reiji brought them, free dance lessons when you came to watch them practice, and a bunch of new friends. However, it also had its disadvantages. You were never alone outside of QUARTET NIGHT, Ranmaru wouldnt allow it, especially not when he knows how Ren can be. And as far as Ranmaru is concerned, you dont need to have those pesky kouhais around you. Of course, it was inevitable that you met them sooner or later and you quickly became friends with them, much to the dislike of your brother. All of STARISH was so nice and even though Ren did make some inappropriate comments at you, it wasn't like you took him serious. Besides, you weren't a baby. Ranmaru likes to think you're still in your preteens but you and him are actually that far apart. Three years. Which places you at roughly 18 years of age. Still, to him, you'll always be his baby sister and God forbid anyone tried to take you away. 

That's exactly what Syo was trying to do now. Well not fully take you away of course, he was just trying to win you over. For days this poor boy has been wrecking his brain on how to convince Ranmaru that he was worthy of your love and worthy to be given a chance. He couldn't help it you know? When he first met you, you guys just hit it off and got along so well! Soon, you were hanging out every chance you got, even behind your brother's back, but he knew it couldnt go on. And when you pulled him aside to tell him "I hate lying to my brother… we should tell him." He knew that he had to. So… here he was, with a box of homemade steaks because he knew that Ranmaru liked steak, standing in front of his door. "Come on Syo…. You can do this… do it for her…" To say he was nervous was an understatement. He felt so uncomfortable in his own skin right now but he knew he had to do it, if he wanted to be with you anyway. So he knocked and he debated the thought of running but then Ranmaru already opened the door and he swears on everything that the man in front of him was already planning every way he could make his death look like an accident. "What do you want, shorty?" The rocker's deep voice resonated within his brain and he quickly decided to pull his confidence back "... To talk to you…?" 

Ran scoffed and his eyes fell on the bag in syo's hands, "what's in there?" Syo swallowed and smiled softly, "steaks. Homemade. I made them for you." 

"Why?" To say Ranmaru has trust issues was an understatement. "Well I meant to ask you a question a-and I know youre probably not going to agree, b-but…" the more syo stuttered and tried to explain himself, the angrier Ran got, "just spit it out shorty I don't got all day." 

"Wouldyoumaybeallowmetodateyoursisterbecauseireallylikeherandyourblessingwouldmeanalot" Syo said it as fast as possible as to not embarrass himself, but he just ended up making more of a fool of himself and having Ranmaru angrily snarl at him, "what did you say?" The fear ran right through Syo and he didn't know whether the man in front of him didnt understand him or tried to scare him off but Syo took a deep breath and stood straight, looking the rocker in his eyes, "I said that I want your blessing to date your sister because she's the best thing to happen to me and I dont want to be with anyone else. She makes me happy and I want to spend my life making her happy. I'm asking you first because i know how much you mean to her and vice versa. Because your blessing means almost as much to me as her saying yes, so I'll ask again, may I have the absolute honor of calling your sister mine?" 

Ranmaru almost wanted to throw syo into the ocean from the very spot he was standing. Who does this pipsqueak think he is asking to date his baby sister?! He had to admit the shorty got guts to ask him that. Still an absolute no. He was almost about to tell him to fuck off, but you were standing behind your brother and gently pushed him aside, "syo… that was so sweet… " you were honestly overcome with joy and smiling at the man, the man that you fell so hard for, in front of you. Ranmaru almost lost it when he heard you from behind him. "The hell he is! Listen here pipsqueak I dont know who you think you are having the guts to walk up to my house and ask to date my sister, but I'll give you exactly 3 second before i--" you interrupted your brother by elbowing him in the side. "How can you say that? He literally had the guts to ask you before he did anything. He brought your favorite food, too! And you dare yell at him?! You never let me do anything because no one is good enough for you, no matter the topic, and i get why youre so concerned but I'm not a baby anymore and you cant keep me in your shadow forever!!"

[The camera swings over to Jules and Tomo]

„-getting ready for her big day! Say hello, girls!“ Jules smiles shyly at the camera and waves. „Hello…“, she says. „Hello, hello~!“, answers Tomochika and winks at the camera. She is currently doing the young brunette‘s hair. „Are you excited, Ju-chan?“, asks Nanami. Jules nods slightly to not disturb Tomo during her work on her. „I am! Nervous but very excited, hehe…“ Oh and how nervous she is. Jules is scared of messing up and it being on camera forever but at the same time she can’t wait to be married to the man of her dreams. „Just think of Syo and it‘ll be fine!“, throws Tomo in. The blue-eyed bride blushes hard, while the two redheads laugh warmly.

[The camera zooms in a little more on Jules]

Then the young composer speaks up again. „So, Jules. What’s on the schedule?“ The girl in question giggles. „Well, right now: getting ready. The wedding ceremony is at 10AM, after that the reception at 12PM and lastly the wedding party.“ Nanami nods behind the camera. „Syo‘s dad should be here soon with the dress.“, adds Jules. This time it’s Tomochika who speaks. „Your dress is so beautiful. I‘ve only seen pictures so far but it’s gorgeous.“ Jules smiles. „Yeah, it really is. Makes me wonder if I really deserve to wear such an amazing dress.“ „Oh, hush! It was custom made, by your father-in-law, for you. Of course you deserve to wear it. You’ll look like a real princess in it! Syo won’t manage to take his eyes off of you.“, exclaims Tomo with confidence. The brunette blushes again. „Thanks, girls…“ There is a light knock.

I hope he’s alright…” Another knock. This time it’s Syo‘s dad with the special dress in tow. „Good morning, ladies.“ „Good morning, sir!“ The middle-aged man turns to Jules. “How are you doing today, Jules?” The brunette smiles. “I’m doing well, thank you! Nervous but well.” “Heh, yeah, that’s completely normal, dear!”, answers her soon-father-in-law with a chuckle.

[The camera zooms out]

„Okay, I think we should let the bride get ready in peace now.“ It‘s Nanami‘s voice. Tomo nods at that. „Yeah, we can take pics of the finished look after. Right, Jules?“ „Yes, totally.“, Jules answers with a smile. „Alright, this is it for the first video entry! Bye!“ The three people in view smile and wave at the camera.

„HELLO!!! My best friend is getting married today!”, screams Natsuki behind the camera. The other STARISH guys flinch at the shrill tone. „Was it a good idea to let Natsuki film for now?“, asks Otoya jokingly. „Ah, it’ll be fine!“, answers Cecil. Tokiya turns to the device. „Welcome to this first video from us, the guys‘ side.“ Everybody, except Natsuki, waves at the camera with big smiles on their faces. „Hello!“ Ren goes over to Syo, who leans against a window, and pats his shoulder. „This little man is the lucky groom today! He is excited to see his bride~!“ Syo blushes but tries to hide it with a frown. „H-hey! Don’t call me short!“

[The camera view gets very shaky]

„Aww, Syo-chan! I‘m so happy for you!!“ „Natsuki! Be careful with the camera-“

„Hello, this is Hijirikawa Masato.“, says the voice behind the device. „Welcome again to this little video entry of this special day. We‘re currently in the suite and getting ready.“

[The camera zooms to Syo]

„Kurusu, how are you feeling?“, asks Masato. The blonde smiles fondly. „Amazing! I just can’t wait to see Jules. I’m sure she looks gorgeous. I wish it‘s 10AM already, haha!“ Syo turns around and plays a little with his white suit sleeve, while looking out of the window. Cecil speaks up next. „Could it be that you‘re nervous?“ Syo takes a deep breath. „No! I mean, yeah, maybe a little. I‘m so confident and yet, today, I‘m even more nervous than during important auditions. Well, more like happy, excited, nervous, just so many emotions at once.” Syo turns to his friends again. “Is that normal?” Tokiya smiles at him. “Of course. You’re getting married today, it’s normal to feel like this.” The others nod at Tokiya’s answer.

[The camera zooms out to show the group]

“That’s why you should eat something, Syo-chan!”, exclaims Natsuki and points at the food that they ordered from room service. The young groom sits down at the table. “I’m not really hungry actually…” Otoya lays one of the sandwiches on a plate and puts it in front of Syo. “Believe us, you’re going to need every little bit of strength today.” The blonde idol smiles, nods, and starts nibbling on the sandwich. Then he moves to take his phone. “Maybe I should ask Jules if she’s doing okay…” Ren laughs and takes Syo’s phone. “Nice try, Ochibi-chan, but you guys agreed to not contact and see each other before she‘s walking down the aisle to you!” Syo blushes. “Y-yeah, I know! It’s just...weird without the usual good morning texts and all...”, he mumbles. The others let out a laugh. “These two really can’t live without each other.”, says Cecil. “It’s so adorable!!”, squeals Natsuki. The shorter blonde’s blush deepens. “H-hey now! Stop teasing, guys!” Ren puts his arm around Syo’s shoulders. “Seriously though, we’re so happy for you both. Jules and you are the definition of soulmates and we all are beyond excited to celebrate this important day with you.” Syo bashfully runs his fingers through his hair but has a big smile on his face. “Thank you, guys! I can’t imagine not having you all here with us.” All of them smile warmly. Otoya chuckles. “Man, I’m hungry.” Masato nods behind the camera. “Yeah, let’s eat before it’s time for the ceremony.” Syo waves at the camera. “Thanks for joining us. See ya later!” “See ya!”

She’s on her way! 2 minutes!” The group nods. Everybody is taking their seats or positions. Syo takes a deep breath. “Okay, let’s do this!”, he says. „You got this, Syo-kun!“, answers Nanami.

Shortly after the camera turns on does music start playing, signaling the arrival of the bride. It’s a very familiar song to everyone. The instrumental version of “Hatsukoi wo Mata Hajimeyou”, requested by Jules and self-proclaimed „couple song“ by the wedding pair. And there she comes. The bride in her wedding gown getting walked down the little path by her father-in-law. The dress is a kimono-inspired blush pink dress with sakura embroidery. Absolutely beautiful. Syo’s eyes start to shine as he sees Jules. His smile is bigger than anyone has ever seen. The brunette’s smile is just as bright. Both of them have tears in their eyes, which could fall any second. The young idol meets his bride and dad halfway down the path. He gives Jules a quick peck on the cheek and turns to his dad to thank him. They exchange a few words and a pat on the shoulder before his dad “gives” Jules over to him. Syo holds out his hand to her. “Shall we, my gorgeous princess?” The blue-eyed girl blushes but takes it without hesitation. „Absolutely, my handsome prince.” Now it is Syo who blushes. Both of them walk together, hand in hand, to the front where the officiant awaits.

[A little while later]

“Now it’s time for the wedding vows.”, the officiant announces. Jules, nervously, goes first.

“My Prince.”, she starts. “There is so much to say and believe me when I say that I wrote down 10 pages full of stuff I wanted to say but I keep it short. I love you. And with every single day that passes, I do more. You are the light in my life that keeps me going, even through the darkest moments. I can always count on you to make me laugh, since literally the moment we’ve met all these years ago. The day you confessed to me feels like it was just yesterday because time with you is flying by so fast. You make me so happy. This may be cliche but you are my best friend who understands me fully and where I don’t have to hide who I am. I know we can manage anything that life throws at us. Syo‘s eyes water again and he leans forward to kiss Jules‘ forehead. „I love you too.“ He squeezes her hands before starting his own vow.

„Jules. My princess. Let me start this off by saying that you’re the best thing that life has ever given me. I don’t know what I did to deserve someone as sweet and supportive as you. You’re definitely thinking now that you’re not worthy to be thought of like that but it’s true. You are everything to me. I will always protect you and remind you every day that you’re absolutely amazing. I love you with my whole being. The fact that you didn’t leave me due to my job but instead always encourage and support me through and through makes me so incredibly thankful to have you in my life. Our ‚Prince of Fighting’ marathons are also always so much fun. I treasure these moments deeply in my heart. I promise, no, I swear, as your prince, that I will always come back home to you, no matter how long we‘re apart and that I‘ll always love and adore you. I love you, princess.“

Tears are running down Jules’ cheeks, which Syo gently wipes away with his thumbs under her glasses. Then he turns his head away to wipe his own teary eyes. The wedding guests are very quiet, seemingly moved by the couple’s vows. After a short pause is it finally time. The officiant turns to Syo first.

“Do you, Syo Kurusu, take Jules Hawthorne to be your lawfully wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, honor her, respect her, and be faithful to her, through anything life may bring, for as long as you both shall live?”

“I do!”, answers Syo confidently.

“Do you, Jules Hawthorne, take Syo Kurusu to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, honor him, respect him, and be faithful to him, through anything life may bring, for as long as you both shall live?”

“Yes, I do!”, answers Jules in her soft voice.

The officiant nods at the now married couple. “I hereby happily pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss your princess.” Syo turns to Jules with a look full of love. He softly cups her cheeks, asking for permission, which she gives through a slight nod. Then he leans in for a sweet kiss, sealing their promise for eternity. Applause is rising around them as they gently lean their foreheads against each other’s. The couple turn their heads and catch the camera’s view. They chuckle and wave, showing off their rings with excitement. Truly an adorable sight.

Shining steps forward with a microphone in his hand.

“Hello, everyone! I have the great honor today to introduce the newly married couple! Let’s welcome them with a round of applause! Here are Mr. and Mrs. Syo and Jules Kurusu!!!” A big thunder of applause erupts. The married couple comes in, hand in hand, and just as happy as at the ceremony. Syo takes the microphone and addresses the crowd.

“Good afternoon! Thank you so much for coming and celebrating this important milestone with us. It really means a lot! This is the plan for the afternoon and evening. After the reception my wife and I have our first dance.” Jules’ shyness kicks in, which her blush gives away. The blonde gives her an encouraging smile and puts an arm around her. The blue-eyed girl smiles back at her husband. Syo turns back to the guests. “And after that, the buffet and bar are open, so eat and drink to your heart’s content. There are some surprises planned during the wedding party, as well. We really hope you continue to have a lot of fun today! Again, thank you all for coming!” Everyone raises their glasses:

It had been a long time since that day, but one message remained in phone’s memory and mind of a certain young man. He wished he had read it instantly and guessed what had been going on. Only if he knew that this message hadn’t been an act of kindness, but goodbye, would everything be different. REAL FUCKING TEA TIME WITH YOUR HOSTS KELINA AND CAMUS

It’s recently come to my attention that someone has me on a list of “toxic fandom persons” simply because of my age and that I happened to write one story about Syo Kurusu and Ai Mikaze.

To start off, yes I’m 36. No I don’t list it on my blog. Why? Because it’s not a fucking mandate to have it on my blog. You guys are old enough to come and ask questions in DMs. Also, I have a whole ass private NSFW blog where I’ve blogged NSFW stuff to for my own perusal prior to Tumblr’s NSFW crackdown.

Now to my next point. I’m in the Uta no Prince Sama fandom. I have been accused of shipping Syo Kurusu and Ai Mikaze. This is only partially true. I only ship them as part of a three man relationship including Natsuki Shinomiya. During Christmas time, there was a secret santa art/writing thing I participated in. I wrote two pieces, “Caramel Chessescake of Love”, a Natsuki x Syo story, and “The Power of Style”, a Syo x Ai story. Both were for other people and were their ship of choice. Neither story contains smut as it was a stipulation for participating in the event, and “The Power of Style” doesn’t even contain anything PDA. The only way that you can tell it’s a relationship is that I blatantly mentioned that they were boyfriends within the first part of the story.

Now here’s where things get interesting. The very first Uta no Prince Sama game was released on the PSP in Japan on June 24, 2010. This game is where the original six members of STARISH were first introduced. Natsuki is the oldest. him and Ren were around the 17/18 mark, Tokiya and Masato were 16/17, and Syo and Otoya were 15/16. Adding in the 9 years since this game came out, that would put Natsuki and Ren about 26/27, Tokiya and Masato at 25/26, and Syo and Otoya at 24/25. The first Utapri game that Ai is in is Uta no Prince Sama Debut, which was released almost two years later, but set in the Utapri world one year after the first game.
