a/n: heyy!! so this is actually a part of a long fic i have been writing for a while. but i looove this episode so i thought to myself why not publish it here as well, enjoyy!!

⟡ fic starts under the cut!

it was raining like hell outside . and you were trying to get to theo’s house as soon as you could. you were already nearly completely wet and freezing.

you had problems with taeyang before. but they were all about meaningless little things. this one was actually different. you had both said stuff you knew you were gonna regret. and you wanted to talk it out with him. you knew you werent gonna stop overthinking this whole thing if you didnt handled it immediately. so here you were standing in front of theo and jiung’s house. you knocked the door and it was immediately opened by jiung who was shocked to see you standing there, completely drenched because of the weather.

“y/n are you crazy? what are you doing here? you are going to be sick” he yelled while he was literally dragging you inside.

“i had to see him jiung” you said.

“i know i know. lets get you changed up so you wont catch a cold” he said with a comforting smile.

“do you have spare clothes? or do you want me to give you-“

“oh i already have some, dont worry” you said while walking through the bathroom. you knew it was gonna rain like hell. but you came anyways.

“just let me change real quick then i will be talking to him”

he nodded while showing the bathroom with one hand. you quickly changed up. you were nervous as hell and even shocked that you werent shaking like crazy right now. you showed all your wet clothes in the bag then left the bathroom.

jiung was already waiting for you in the hallway. “are you feeling nervous?” he asked cutely.

“yeah. i dont even know what im gonna say. i just felt so bad that i took the first train here. i dont know what was i thinking to be honest.”

“you were scared of losing him y/n. thats okay. you need to calm down first. he’s very upset as well. he hasnt left his room since you two had a fight.”

you shook my head in response.

“his room is upstairs” he said. then showed you the way.

“good luck” he whispered. then went back downstairs.

you were so nervous that you were about to faint. you mumbled some shit to give you confidence. then you slowly opened the door and entered the room.

“go away jiung” theo said but it was more like a mumble. he was lying on the bed. you slowly walked over to him and sat on the bed. he probably though you were jiung since he even turned his head to look at you. so you laid down next to him.

“hey taeyang” you said softly. he was shocked to see it was not jiung but you.

“y/n what the hell are you doing here? its raining like crazy out there” he said worriedly while sitting up.

“i had to see you. so i took the first train here” you said. you could already feel your eyes tearing up. but since you didnt want him to see that, you turned your head.

“y/b please dont cry” he said while cupping your cheeks.

“im so sorry, i was acting like a total jerk” he said pullint you close to his chest.

“im sorry too theo. i was being a bitch anyways”

“no, please dont say that” he whined

“ i dont even know why i said that. i got so angry with myself afterwards. and now you are here. you came to see me in this shitty weather and i didnt even text you.”

you sobbed quietly while he was caressing your hair.

“please dont cry y/n. its okay. we are okay, right?”

you shook my head. and he pulled you closer to his chest. you stayed like that for a while.

“can we cuddle and sleep please” you asked.

“of course” he said. then fixed the pillows.

“i care about you too much to lose you in a stupid argument like this. im so sorry for upsetting you”

he then quickly hid his head in the stack of pillows and you laughed at the way he got shy.

“no need to get embarrassed theo” you said ruffling his hair.

“come here” he said pulling you into a tight hug. and you felt the safest you have felt in a while. he was soft and warm. and his arms wrapping you tightly made you believe he wasnt gonna leave you ever.

“taeyang?”

he hummed as a response.

“dont let me lose you, okay?”

“you dont have to worry about such thing” he kissed the top of your head.

LOVE FOOL — CHAPTER FIFTEEN

It didn’t take long for the school gym to fill up with students the day before Halloween (the staff didn’t want to work on Halloween night). The gym was decorated by student council after school with cobb webs and anything spooky like to make it look semi decent. Luckily Riki’s parents had a few fog machines that they lent us for the night so the place wasn’t too boring.

Left and right were students dressed in their costumes and teachers making sure that these costumes were school appropriate. It was surprising that people were actually attending the dance since teenagers these days hate those kinds of things, but stuco was grateful nonetheless.

Entering the gym with Jake, you quickly found the table where all your friends were sitting at. And there at the table was Minjeong… and Heeseung sitting next to her. They were dressed as Shaggy and Velma; an obvious couples costume.

Everyone except for those two and Taeyang’s girlfriend noticed your expression. Keeho gave an apologetic look but you shook it off.

“Where’s the rest of your friends?” You asked to Jake, taking Keeho’s drink and swallowing it all. He gave an offended look at you, but he wasn’t planning on commenting on it when he already knew you were in a mood.

“I’m not sure,” Jake responded. “Im sure they’re—”

“Let’s go hang out with them.”

Jake gave you wide eyes. He didn’t have a problem hanging out with your friends, and since Heeseung was here it all worked out anyway. But he saw the look in your eyes and could tell you wanted to leave.

“Wait, dance with me first!” Yizhuo exclaimed, snatching your arm and stealing you away from your date.

While you got dragged to the dance floor, you apologized to Jake and continued to follow your friend. Yizhuo did want to dance with you, but she was also here to interrogate you.

“You don’t want to sit with us?” She asked with a smile on her face to avoid your friends asking questions. She knew at least some of them were staring.

“I do!” You exclaimed in defense. “I just don’t want to be around Heeseung or Theo.”

“Theo? Why Theo?”

“It’s just super awkward. I don’t even know how it got like that.”

Yizhuo furrowed her brows as she grabbed your hands to dance closer together. “Did you like him? At least at some point in your life?”

“Yiz, I don’t want to talk about this right now. I’m supposed to have fun. Not talk about boys.”

“You’re right,” she sighed, a smile coming onto her face. “Besides, Jake is hot and you look good with him!”

You couldn’t stop the blush from creeping up on your face. “It’s not like that between us.”

“But it should be! He’s totally into you!” Yizhuo leaned closer. “Don’t look now, but he hasn’t taken his eyes off you since I dragged you away.”

You almost turned your head but fought against it. Jake couldn’t like you; it would ruin everything. If he liked you, it would mean that you were off limits to all his friends. And you were not trying to look like a homie hopper!

“Just give him a chance,” she whispered in your ear.

After you and Yizhuo finished dancing to a few songs, you guys went back to her table to get a drink. You couldn’t approach Jake so easily now after talking to your friend about it. You just couldn’t bring yourself to feel any romantic attraction towards him.

“Do you want to dance?” You heard Minjeong ask. It made you look up, meeting eyes with Heeseung before he quickly looked away.

“No,” he answered. “I don’t think I’ll be dancing tonight.”

“Then why did you come,” you then asked, annoyed. He didn’t want to come in the first place so why was he here now? His existence was bothering you at this point.

Heeseung looked up, shocked at what you said and falling speechless. You rolled your eyes, taking Jake’s hand and pulling him away from the rest of them. Keeho and Jiung couldn’t stop themselves from laughing, which earned them a glare from Heeseung. He didn’t know why you were suddenly acting so cold towards him. Meanwhile, Taeyang was side eyeing him, knowing that he definitely upset you after calling her dance boring.

Dancing with Jake definitely felt foreign to you, but it felt good. He was refreshing to be around, and he also smelled really good so you couldn’t stay away from him. He also couldn’t stay away from you; his hands couldn’t leave your body whether it was your waist or your arm, he just had to be touching you.

“Hands to yourself, you two!” A deep voice shouted, and Jake immediately took his hands off you. “Got you!” The obnoxious laugh of Park Sunghoon took you by surprise. You’ve never talked to him ever, so it made you a bit nervous to be meeting the rest of Jake’s friends finally.

“Yn,” he greeted. “Looking lovely as always.” Sunghoon was very prince like. You didn’t know if he was always this polite or if he was just trying to be nice to you since you were here with Jake.

“Thank you,” you answered.

“Stop trying to flirt,” Jay then said. “He’s just trying to woo you. Ignore him.”

You nodded then greeted Jay. They took you and Jake to their table where Sunoo, Riki, and Jungwon also were. It was actually very comfortable sitting with them; Sunghoon and Jay weren’t weird and they were fun to talk to. Definitely not ideal for you since you’d rather be with your own friends, but you were glad to be with familiar faces.

Sunoo and Sunghoon couldn’t stop bickering and it made you laugh a lot. It was mostly Sunghoon teasing Sunoo, but it was amusing to watch Sunoo get annoyed so easily. Jungwon and Jay were also very close to each other it seemed. They were more calm compared to Sunghoon and Sunoo, and the contrast was odd.

“So~” Riki slid closer to you with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “You and Jake, huh?” He gave you the wiggly eyebrows and you shoved him lightly.

“You do realize he’s right next to me right?” You asked. Jake was quite literally pressed against your side and could definitely hear Riki clearly.

“Yeah, I know.” His grin turned up more. “I’m purposely doing it.”

“Leave her alone, Riki,” Jake sighed, already knowing what he was up to.

Laughing awkwardly, you looked away from Riki and stood before announcing that you needed to use the restroom. Anything Riki had to say was definitely up to no good and you wanted to avoid his questions as much as possible. He always found a way to twist things which freaked you out because how did he know so much?

You left the gym to “find the restroom” but really you just needed a quiet place to think for a moment. There wasn’t much to think about except the fact that you were here with Jake instead of Taeyang or even Heeseung for that matter. Jake just came out of no where and now you were stuck.

The quiet was peaceful. It was a little cold outside too especially with the wind. So now you were left alone with your thoughts and the sound of the wind pushing leaves and shaking the trees.

Footsteps sounded near you, making you look up from the floor and up to the noise. It was the last person you wanted to see. Lee Heeseung. There was no way he was here to see you. It was definitely just a coincidence and he probably came outside to find the restrooms.

“Enjoying your night?” He ask, taking a seat next to you on the planter box that you were sitting at. You just stared at him in disbelief as he stared straight ahead. Why was he deciding to talk to you now of all places and why all of a sudden?

“I am,” you answered, looking away from him. “I didn’t know you and Minjeong were close.”

“We’re not.” You didn’t look at him even though you could see him staring at you from the corner of your eye.

“That’s a little harsh considering you’re here with her tonight.” You tried you best to calm down, but the shakiness in your voice gave away your nervousness.

Heeseung let out a deep sigh. “She asked me to come with her and it would’ve been rude to say no since we sit next to each other in class.”

You nodded, not needing to say anything else. He didn’t owe you an explanation and you didn’t want one from him. It’s not like you guys were anything anyways.

“It got really awkward at the table when you left,” he said sudddenly. “Theo’s date stormed off after a while. He must’ve said something to upset her.”

Again, you nodded.

“Then Yizhuo got asked to dance by someone in her year. Jiung and Keeho stayed back after Minjeong went to the restroom, and now I’m here to avoid them asking me any questions.”

You couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “Me too. I had to leave before Riki starting asking me things he didn’t need an answer to.”

Heeseung laughed with you. “Yeah, that kid is pretty mischievous.”

The two of you went silent for a moment. The tension was there and it felt very awkward. You wanted to leave, but you didn’t know if Heeseung still wanted to talk. Maybe he wanted to leave too. So you stood up.

“I should get back first,” you announced. “Jake’s probably wondering where I am and Minjeong will be thinking the same thing.”

Heeseung pursed his lips and frowned; something you noticed but wished you didn’t see. What did that mean? All you could do was now overthink it. What if Heeseung liked you? No… He couldn’t… right?

“Okay,” he sighed. “See you later.”

You nodded before turning around quickly and making your way back to the gym. When you found your way back to your table, Jake wasn’t there.

“Where’s Jake?” You asked the boys.

“He went looking for you,” said Jungwon, sipping on his drink.

“Yeah, you were gone for quite a while,” Riki then said. “It was almost as if you were… with someone else?”

“Oh, be quiet Riki,” you playfully scoffed. “Shouldn’t you be dancing right now, showing off how talented you are?”

“I’m resting right now, I’ll have you know!”

“Sure you are.”

“Do you want to have a dance battle, Yn?”

“You’ll catch me dead before I freestyle.”

Riki suddenly became serious. “What’s wrong with freestyling?”

“I physically cannot watch it. Unless you’re a really good dancer, it’s cringe. And I can’t dance anyway so I’d definitely not free style.”

“Are you making fun of my freestyle,” Riki fake pouted.

“Well are you a really good dancer like you claim to be?”

“Yes!” He slammed a fist on the table. “I’m awesome! I dance all day everyday! My parents own a dance studio!”

You laughed at how adorable he looked trying to convince you badly. “Okay, I believe you.” You held in the rest of your laughter and he leaned back in his seat.

Before Riki could come back with another remark, Jake came back and sat down next to you. You could feel the uneasiness coming from him and felt as if you did something wrong.

“Wanna dance?” You asked him, but he shrugged. “Oh… Are you alright?”

“Yeah I’m fine,” he answered dryly. “Just feeling a little sick.”

You were quick to make a move, placing the back of you hand on his forehead to feel him. He felt normal, but you figured he was just tired and overwhelmed from all the lights.

“Do you want to leave?” You asked. “I’ll take you home.” You suddenly had the urge to take care of him. The two of you never acted affectionate towards each other, but you felt the need to take control. Maybe it was because he was younger than you; all you knew was that you wanted to take Jake home and make sure he was feeling okay.

“It’s okay, I don’t want to ruin your—”

“I wanna go home,” you interrupted. “Come on.”

The two of you said your goodbyes to his friends and made your way to the table with yours, saying goodbye to them as well. Heeseung stared a little too long after you guys left the table, and Minjeong rolled her eyes after noticing.

“Wanna get out of here?” She asked him, hoping he’d take her home.

“You can leave if you want,” Heeseung said nonchalantly, not even realizing how rude that sounded. “I need to find my friends.”

“I’m your date, though!”

“I can’t hang out with my friends for a little bit?”

Keeho and Jiung gave each other a look, trying hard to fight back a laugh at their friend. Taeyang even found the moment a bit funny, but he of all people shouldn’t be laughing right now after he and his girlfriend got into an argument earlier.

Heeseung left the table and Minjeong scoffed, annoyed and regretting asking him to come to the dance with her. She looked over at the rest of her friends and rolled her eyes at them too since they were obviously entertained with her basically getting dumped.

“And for the first time it’s Yn who is getting action,” Keeho laughed which made Jiung and Taeyang laugh with him.

“Why the hell are you laughing, Taeyang!” Minjeong exclaimed. “Your girlfriend is dancing with another man as we speak.”

“What!” The boy shouted, jumping up from his seat and leaving to find her.

“Assholes.” Minjeong scoffed again and left the dance.

Keeho sipped on his drink. “She always gets so worked up when we tease her.”

“She’s just sensitive,” Jiung said before Yizhuo came stumbling to their table.

“Where’s Yn?” She asked. “There’s a circle forming around Heeseung and some girl right now!”

“She left just a while ago,” said Jiung. “And what do you mean?”

“Is he getting in a fight!” Keeho exclaimed, suddenly up at his feet. “Show me the way.”

The three left to find the crowd around Heeseung, pushing past people to get to the front.

Meanwhile, you were walking Jake home and it was dead silent between the two of you. You weren’t sure if you should say something or just keep this silence, but you were having a nice night with Jake and he was suddenly so gloomy.

“Did you have fun?” You asked, looking up at him and awaiting a response, but he only nodded. “Doesn’t seem like it. What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” he said. You knew better than to believe him.

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No.”

“It feels like I did.”

“You did nothing wrong.”

“Just tell me what’s wrong.”

“Nothing is wrong. I want to go home, so just leave me alone.”

You paused for a second, feeling hurt at the rejection. He didn’t want to be around you, and now you knew you did something wrong. Jake continued to walk; he noticed you stopped, but he didn’t care.

“Sorry for ruining your night,” you mumbled before turning the opposite direction and walking away.

You thought Jake wouldn’t hear you, but he did. He heard you clearly even if you were mumbling. Because it was quiet outside, it was very much audible. But he continued to walk; he kept going but guilt was eating him alive. It was cold and dark outside, and you left his side. Now he was stressed out over something bad happening to you. You were defenseless at the moment, and even if you weren’t, you didn’t have one strong muscle in your body if something bad were to happen.

Turning around, Jake went to look for you. He wasn’t sure which way you went, but he would look all night if he had to. He could’ve easily called you; however, he knew you wouldn’t have picked up. Not after how he treated you tonight.

“Are you guys leaving yet?” He heard your voice around the corner, stopping so you wouldn’t hear him getting closer. “No, Jake went home by himself and I forgot my house keys.” Why didn’t you just call Jake? He would’ve let you stay if he knew you couldn’t go home tonight. “Oh… yeah. That’s fine. I’ll just meet you guys there.”

You hung up the phone, and looked around your surroundings. It was scary being out at night by yourself, especially when it was dark outside and freezing cold. However, you quickly stood up and started speed walking towards Taeyang’s house. Your friends were all going to spend the night there, so you decided to join them since your parents would be out late for work and you couldn’t get inside without your keys.

Jake followed you up until you met up with your friends halfway. He felt relieved that you were with people you trust, and it was a group so nothing could’ve gone wrong. When he felt sure enough that you’d be okay, he turned around and headed back to his house. He was definitely going to apologize to you; even if it bruised his ego a lot, he owed you one.

Summary: After a day filled with carrying boxes inside, it's time for you and your boyfriend to unwind.

Genre: fluff. Just pure fluff.

''What are you doing?'' You heard his voice first before you felt his arms circling around your waist as he stepped onto the balcony with you.

''Nothing.'' You simply answer him, continiuing to gaze out onto the lively city beneath you. ''It's cold though. Being out here with a jacket.'' Taeyang sighs, resting his chin on top of your head, mumbling something about you being stubborn and just pulls you closer if that was even possible knowing you're basically sandwiched between him and the railing.

Taeyang watches how his breath forms clouds into the sky, looking up at the full moon that just shines right above the building. He smiles at that, unable but to think that even the moon congratulates the two as it beams right where they are.

''I havent packed out that box yet.'' You state just like that and the reply that comes from him leaves you chuckling, patting his hand that has settled on your stomach as if to tell him this was to be expected and he should have, if he truly knows you that he always claims that he does.

''Yeah..'' He trails off, turning to the apartment behind him, seeing the boxes stacked up and taking up the most space in the living room. Words scribbled what's supposed to be inside them but he knows that some boxes definitely will be mystery ones.

''I can't really blame you.'' He turns you two around, him being the one who has his back against the railing while he finally gets to see your gorgeous face. ''You probably will have to guess in which box the jackets will be.'' Your expression changes, grimacing at the thought of having to just unpack every box without having a plan on where to start. Taeyang knows how much you rely on lists sometimes, always having a plan for things, yet the move suddenly was sooner than expected and you two ended up throwing stuff in boxes that were already labeled for -well- not the stuff you ended up putting in.

''But that's for another day to worry.'' Taeyang cups your cheek, lifting your chin for him to plant a sweet kiss on your lips. ''I wanted to take a walk with you.'' He then begins, tugging a lock of your hair behind your ear before he caresses your cheeks once again. ''Let me show you around the neighbourhood.''

Closing your eyes at his touch, you rest against his chest, his warmth spreading around you in the cold air of the night. A nightwalk around the neighbourhood just with him does sound like everything right now and you nod, burying yourself more in the comfort of him.

''Let me grab my jacket for you.'' Taeyang steps away from the railing and guides you back to the apartment where he snatches his coat that he discarded on the boxes and motions to you to hold out your arm as he helps you getting all nice and warm.

''Warm?'' is what he asks then after zipping you up and straightening the collar. You hum as an answer but realize he is the one without one and you frown. ''But you're gonna be cold, we cant go then.'' Your fingers find the zipper but Taeyang quickly stops you with a laugh.

''Don't you think I was prepared for this? I know you, (y/n).'' and he rounds the corner, coming back with another coat for himself. ''Always prepared.''

With your hand clasped in his, you two roam the unfamiliar streets. Atleast to you. For your boyfriend the streets weren't as unknown to you and he happily showed you around in the serene of the night. Pointing out where you could buy the best vegetables and which shops you actually needed to avoid.

He even enthusiastically showed you the hidden ones that normally, only the old people were able to go to but since the elders seemed to adore him, they didn't mind sharing the hidden gems with him.

''And there- '' Taeyang pulls you a little closer by pressing his hand on your waist, making sure you have the same line of sight as he has. ''- RIght there is where I will propose.''

Your heart skips a beat at his words, eyes taking in the small park lit up by lanterns hanging on the brances of trees, creating this magical path to the pond, the ripples in the water cast what could have been a different world as the moon sways in it's dance.

''Tae-yang..'' You breathe out, lost in the sight infront of you, unaware of the man looking at you just the same. You feel a ghost like kiss right below your eye. ''P-propose?''

Your breathing starts to pick up, stomach dropping as you're unsure what to think. You love him, with all of your soul and you would be hollow if he stepped out of your life. Opening and closing your mouth, you turn to look at him and you the smile on his face. ''Tae-'' He hushes you by placing both hands on your cheeks. ''I know what you are thinking.''

Taeyang knew what was going to happen inside your pretty head once he uttered those words, he saw the emotions flash through your eyes and the way your body stiffened just a little, he found adorable and chuckled.

''To be my forever girlfriend. What else should it be, dove?'' He teased, grabbing the flesh of your cheek to pinch.

With a pout, you just let him pinch your cheek like that however he surprises you by suddenly cupping your jaw and slotting his lips over yours. The protest dies down in the kiss, the wind suddenly feeling colder now that you feel your face heating up at the public display of his affection to you.

It doesn't happen often seeing his job and reputation. You fully melt into him, sliding your hands over his shoulders and deepening the kiss by pinching his chin between your fingers to put a bit of pressure on his jaw and he lets out a small moan, knowing what you're asking of him.

''Y/n..''

When he does utter your name, you slide in your tongue and the butterflies seem to suddenly know arobatics when you do hear him sigh in bliss, happily letting you take the reigns in this kiss. One hand finds their home in your hair, pressing you even closer to him by the back of your head and keeps a tight grip around your neck aswell.

It's then that the sound of tires on a wet road have you two realizing exactly where you are and jump away from eachother like this isn't something you should be doing, eventhough it's pretty normal for a couple to do.

Your heart hammers in your chest for many reasons, licking your lips when your eyes lock on his. You two are silent before bursting out in laughter and you do slap his chest.

''Is this why you took me out for a walk? Having ulterior motives?'' Your click your tongue against the roof of your mouth and look away dramatically.

''I was surprised you fell right into my trap.'' Taeyang reaches for you, tugging onto your wrist and practically fly right into his chest. ''Besides-'' His thumb drags down your lower lip, lets it linger before it 'pops' back in place. ''-You're the one who just seduced me.''

''Me?'' You gasp loudly, pointing to yourself, never have been so offended by an accusation. How dare he.

Taeyang sees the pout on your face, your head tilted to the side with your arms crossed over your chest as you huff. There was no doubt he was sure about the move in together, he has been thinking about it quite awhile that even his members at last told him to just ask you after having to listen to him sigh about not being able to come home to you and having to deal with his sulking.

Without a word, he steers his direction back to the apartment, walking with his hands behind his head and with a little pop in his steps, he grins widely. The love overflowing like a waterfall from his heart and he can't help but to jump once, throwing his hands in the air, unable to surpress the feelings.

''You coming?!'' He says, waving you over but does not wait for an answer while you merely just watch the practically dancing man walking up the street, the moon shining right above him.

''I am coming.'' You say more to yourself than to him and quicken your pace to fall into step beside him. His hand find yours naturally, stuffing it back into his pocket to keep them warm as you two make your way back to your shared apartment and the boxes waiting to be unpacked.

Junghwan declaring that he's Taeyang's bestie is the funniest sh*t. I was like, HOW DARE YOU! After all the harrassment and bullying she endured, thanks to you!

EXCEPT, they did show us how remorseful he felt after trying to get Taeyang transferred to another team. Finding out she'd just be used for publicity stunts. The realization that he was a scum and he's worse than he thought. Admitting what he did to their coach and begging him to help them get her back. Then getting mad at Taeyang for wanting to get fired, lol! He can't make up his mind whether Taeyang is his enemy or someone he cares for.

And Taeyang, for her part, said to Taejun that Junghwan was a good person. That it's her fault he's acting that way. And she told Junghwan to move on, because he should be happier than her.

Yeah. I can believe that they were friends before (I should've expected this when she kicked him from behind and his reaction was surprise, not anger). I just didn't expect that they'd make up and be bffs again this quick.

(But then again, I didn't expect Taeyang and Taejun's break up to get resolved this quick either.)

"stop doing that."

you gulp, your eyelids blinking slowly. humming, you turn your head slightly towards the boy laying beside you. your sat on the bed with your knees to your chest — hands wrapped around your legs.

"you're thinking too much." taeyang is laying on his side with his arms tucked under his head. he lifts his hand to caress your leg softly — his eyes following.

"am not," you whisper, though you didn't intend to. your voice came out weaker than you wanted. taeyang noticed it, you know he did. he noticed your mood when you walked through the door.

"you'll get wrinkles if you keep doing that." taeyang's voice broke through the silence of the room — save for the sound of the small fan placed on the dresser. that's why it's cold in here. your gaze stays fixed on the blanket.

"hey," taeyang says, getting up from his spot to sit next to you. he leans forward slightly, one leg off of the bed, while the other is crossed. his hand gently grips your arms, his thumb stroking your skin. "what's wrong, baby?"

you inhale shakily, swallowing the built up saliva. tears well up in your eyes, and you try to blink them away hurriedly. taeyang tilts his head slightly to see your face. upon seeing your tears, his heart breaks; eyes softening, and lips parting moderately.

"i don't know," you sob, breathing heavily. you pull your legs tightly towards you. "i'm gett– getting bad again."

taeyang shifts closer to you, hesitantly wrapping his arms around you. "can i touch you?" you nod.

so he embraces you tightly, his hand holding your head, as well as his cheek resting against it. you continue to cry, and taeyang doesn't say anything — he lets you cry.

eventually, you start hiccuping. you don't have the energy to cry anymore, but your heart still feels heavy. taeyang pulls away, but his hands stay around you, and he's only a few inches away.

"it's okay," he whispers, blinking tears away. "it's okay to feel this way."

you continue to hiccup, not turning to face your boyfriend. you feel his breath on your face.

"do you have any thoughts of–"

"no," you say, shaking your head. "i promise i haven't thought of that." you know why he's asking, since you had a history of that.

taeyang nods, but you can't see him. his grip on you tightens, and you can hear him let out a shaky breath.

"what can i do?" he asks, his voice cracking. "to help."

turning to face him, you smile softly. "you being here is enough."

his eyes switch back and forth between yours, and a smile forms on his lips. taeyang leans in slowly, his eyes glancing down at your lips. you do the same. and once your lips collide — tasting of salty tears and cake batter chapstick — you follow each other's pace.

taeyang pulls away first, trying to hide his smile, though seeing your smile plastered, his grows wider. he pulls you towards him, laying down on the bed. you giggle as he cackles. as the two of you quiet down, you roll over to your spot next to him.

"i'm tired," you say, catching your breath.

"me too."

you turn to your side to face your boyfriend. feeling your movement, he looks at you, before mirroring your position.

"goodnight yangie," you smile. "i love you."

taeyang lets out a breath, a laugh. "and i love you." you smile, closing your eyes.

"y/n?" taeyang asks after some time. you peek your eye open, noticing the darkness that's overcome the bedroom.

"tae?" you ask.

"can i hold you?"

"yes." you turn over, trying not to make too much noise, and shift closer to taeyang. his arm snakes loosely around your waist, before pulling you closer to him. his face rests in the crook of your neck.

"you're going to be okay, y/n."
