Character Birthday Masterlist

This is as many birthdays as I could find for all the games I have played and anime's I have watched. Trust me there are more characters but some have no birthday dates posted. I will update this list as I go but you can always find this on my pinned post to come back and check the birthday calendars for each. I did want to do a calendar itself for each month but when so many have the same birthdate I found this harder to do so chose to just do a master list instead.

Thanks to her family owning the convenience store, Miyako / Yolei provides food for the Digimon. As the baby Digimon get too excitable with sugar-high moments, poor Tailmon/Gatomon gets too uncomfortable from watching the scene.

Miyako: I brought something! Takeru: Right, your family owns a convenience store. Daisuke: That must be great. You can have snacks whenever you want, for free! (Miyako puts the bag of groceries on the floor near the Digimon.) Miyako: Here. (The Digimon crowd around the bag) Miyako: Not really...sometimes I have to help out. It's hard work. Daisuke: Oh... (Scene shifts to the Digimon crowding around the grocery bag.) Chibimon: What's this? Poromon: Can we eat it? Patamon: Yeah, we can. And it's good! (Patamon drinks the juice from the packet) Upamon: Let me try, dagyaa! (Upamon jumps into the bag and takes the packet drink. Tailmon gets uncomfortable from watching the scene. Then, Upamon bounces around while Chibimon munches on the chocolate.) Upamon: It's great! It's really, really great! Chibimon: Yummy! (It's Poromon's turn to drink the juice. As he does that, Poromon flies around the classroom excitedly until he crashes onto Chibimon and Upamon. Tailmon and Patamon watch the three baby Digimon dance around the bag.) Tailmon: I'm worried just thinking of our future...

DIGIWEEK (2022) - DAY 5+6 - PokeDigiBey Supremacy Forever ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ

Just some general group dynamics:

Ash is the baby of the group, nobody can say no to him and everyone spoils him senseless. If he says he wants to rob a bank, then everyone else is already coming up with a list of the nearest banks.

Yamato and Kai enjoy each other’s company the most because they can both just be quietly comfortable around each other. There’s never a moment of awkwardness or tension between them and the two can just sit together in silence for hours, with Yamato working on his music and Kai reading. Kai also expects the most out of Yamato in comparison to the Troublemaker Trio™️ but then sometimes Yamato can’t resist joining in their shenanigans too and Kai ends up being a tired dad of four toddlers high on sugar.

Tyson and Taichi are super close, almost like brothers, but have this innate need to compete over everything. Like they’d give their lives for each other without hesitation, but they also need to see who can fit the most amount of takoyakis in their mouth in under a minute. But if Taichi is in trouble or if he makes a mistake, he always calls Tyson first because he knows that Tyson will race there at the speed of light without any questions asked and never judge him for whatever he’s done.

Ash looks up to Tyson the most, he’d follow him blindly straight into the mouth of a dragon. Which in turn makes Kai worry about Ash all the time that he’s not in his field of vision. Yamato takes a lot of advice from Ash when he has disagreements with Takeru, and Ash often mediates the arguments between the two. He also spends the most amount of time hanging out with Taichi since their hobbies and interests are very similar, so every time Ash makes a suggestion in the group chat Taichi is the only one who always offers to join him.

It’s impossible for Kai to say no to Taichi, somehow the latter is very good at putting his point across and if Kai disagrees then it usually leads to long discussions where Taichi just refuses to back down, so to avoid wasting time, Kai usually ends up agreeing to everything Taichi says.

Tyson and Yamato have the same taste in music so they’re concert buddies, they also have the same taste in food, so whenever Yamato is trying out a new recipe, he always asks Tyson to be the taste-tester.

Hilary is the go-to mom friend for all the girls and she enjoys this position a lot! All the girls have her number saved on speed dial and she’s everyone’s secret keeper. Sora and my OC (Charlie) don’t get along at all, they’re kind of like the female versions of TaiYama arguing and Hils always has to mediate all their arguments. When Misty doesn’t feel like she can approach her sisters about something they did to her, she always takes Charlie and Hilary along and they argue with Daisy and Co for her. Hilary also enjoys eating weird combinations of foods like Mimi and the day the two decide to enter the kitchen together, everyone runs to a different country (on Kai’s private jet ofc).

For Charlie I have many different background stories, but one of the most prominent ones I use is that she’s the TakaIshi brothers’ cousin (from Natsuko’s side), but they don’t find that out until they’re teens because her Mom always kept the identity of the father a secret (their is a whole other story here it’ll take me ages to dive into it lol). She’s a very ‘my way or high way’ kind of person and the only who can keep her in check is Hilary. Mimi is very close to Charlie and in the canon compliant timeline, Mimi meets her when she’s staying in the US and Charlie is actually the one who helps her colour her hair pink (to Satoe’s horror).

Sora and Misty are both very athletic so they usually go to the gym or go jogging together. They both also have trouble connecting with their families (mother and sisters respectively) so it’s easier for them to open up to each other about their deeper feelings and emotions. While Mimi and Misty have similar interests and hobbies outside of Sports, so they spend a lot of time hanging out together, like going for Karaoke or shopping sprees or all-you-can-eat dessert buffets.

And the relationships:

Tyson and Hilary are THE couple, everyone’s always rooting for them and looking up to them. So much so that if they ever have a serious fight then the whole group ends up not hanging out until they’ve solved their issues.

Kai and Charlie have a brief period in their relationship where they mutually decide to take a break from each other. This is very tough on Yamato because although the news that Charlie is his sister is still new to him, he feels torn between having to chose between a family member and a close friend and it low-key reminds him of his parents’ divorce.

Charlie is very protective of Mimi, so when Mimi and Yamato start dating, she’s always reminding him and taunting him to be careful about not making Mimi cry if he doesn’t want to get beaten up by her.

Taichi and Sora are always in the ‘will they’ or ‘won’t they’ phase and it drives Hilary crazy, she always tries her best to set them up, even though it annoys Tyson that she’s interfering in Taichi’s life and the two fight because of this quiet often.

Ash and Misty are very content with the label of best friends and don’t define their relationship as anything more until they’re in their late 20s. They also like to keep bets between themselves when one of the other couple is fighting about who will apologise first, and Misty almost always wins.

Why did I post this for the “challenge” prompt? Well simply because it was a HUGE pain I mean challenge to make that edit, all the many attempts at finding the right poses and reference and the redrawing exhausted me. And also because I never talk about my OC, who was created for Beyblade purposes but then ended up having such a good tie in with Digimon, she’s literally the embodiment of crossover+challenge. I don’t know if the edit did a good job of portraying her, but just try and imagine a platinum blonde Takagi san with greenish eyes.

Like a general dressing their troops, a color everybody identified with her. So that they knew who they really belonged to. Phone calls, asked favors, rekindling old friendships. Honeyed words, free days conceded. Favors guaranteed.

Busy as she was, she had almost forgotten about the pair of unwatching eyes that saw everybody's moves. A man as dangerous as an inland taipan, as docile as a rabid wolf. They were supposed to believe his loyalties were clear, but Andrómeda knew better. And if the last few weeks proved something was that absolutely every person had a price.

She knew his room, just as she knew everyone's. So she made her way there, one afternoon, wearing a beautiful, figure-hugging midnight blue dress, smelling of vanilla, cherries, flowers, the sound of her heels against the wooden floor commanding respect, drawing attention to herself. Carrying a flower pot with the most striking burgundy and black dahlias in her garden. Soma was a man of knowledge. She was sure he would know what they meant. Betrayal.

Knocking on the door, however, her voice was sweet as sugar. And yet, demanding, imposing. Refusing to accept a no for an answer.

Digimon (Mainly Xros Wars sorry) headcanons/aus that I keep thinking from 2013 to now, that probably should post it online and then kept inside cause I was scared of the fandom back then lol

So.. how I am going to start this

Also, please don't give fandom hate in my replies/rb, I don't care if a media has a lot of flaws but there are some people who enjoy it so be respectful

Let's go with this first cause my head screaming for Legends crossover ever since I read a fanfic of Daisuke/Davis as Takuya's cousin and screamed about @/digitalgate02 blog about the Legends au (actually I still screamed about this for years ever since the crossover episode but at the time, only popular crossover fanfic with all Digimon characters was kinda disappointing and kinda not like characters at all, let say Taichi character on that fanfic is a dick, actually most of them are assholes that my younger self patient to wait a few years to see there new content but still less but hey, at least there new good fanfics)

Btw you can scream about shipping hcs I don't mind, I kinda still ship Kiritai but not much as my 9 years old did, however, please block me if you ship minors characters with adult characters

Xros Over with The Legends with new legends heroes (the legend heroes adult/teens here cause Xros Wars timeline is 2013 ish idk) :

The Legends is very worried about Taiki cause Taiki ain't hiding he is traumatized and feels about to snap, he even smiles about it like that not a big deal to him

Taiki will need to be dragged by other Legends cause that boy helping people non stop that he forgot his self-care

The Legends want Taiki to give therapy but Taiki always refused, but..

"Taiki-san, you need therapy.. what do you mean you didn't deserve to have a dream cause it's selfish???" (Taichi, Daisuke, etc)

"I don't need therapy besides a therapist probably can't deal with our adventures.." Taiki reminded them that no one would understand Digital World problems

"You know what, let's ask DATS to make a psychologists branch for traumatized Digidestined Kids" (Masaru)

"Wait, you don't need-" Taiki panicked

"As a president of Aonuma Corps, I will fund you a lot if they decided to make it"

4. Once in a while, they would have a soccer match after ending an evil world ending Digimon for relaxing, let's say Taiki is so athletic and flexible he becomes Messi

Masaru can take care of Taiki even though he is bad at food related, if they lived in Digital World for a while, he would give Taiki poison berries cause he thinks it's food as long you can eat it. Shoutmon will in despair again and just shouted at them to live in his kingdom before Taiki eat that berries

6. Daisuke, Taiki, and Takato only ones that can cook properly but with Taiki low self-care, it's just two of them can handle it

7. Ever since Taiki can hear digimelody, Taiki can hear and talk to Digispirits and eventually became Agnimon gossip listener, more like a rant about Takuya being an idiot

8. They acknowledged that Taiki is smarter than them in strategizing but still wonder why he so bad at keeping his well-being

9. They really need to get used to Taiki passing out shenanigans cause they keep getting a heart attack

10. They wonder if they were a family, so they vote Taichi is the tired dad lmao

11. One time when they get asked most dangerous they did, Taiki answered to them that he almost die, why? Cause to escape a kingdom was needing Taiki's death data

All the legends atp want to pass out cause this kid is more self-sacrificial and have no fear of death

12. Taiki sometimes rambles to them about Kamen Rider all the time, he talk non stop about Shoutaro from Kamen Rider W and Takeru from Kamen Rider Ghost (Geez is that where Taiki learn recklessness from- /hj)

Xros Wars & Hunters :

Xros Heart Team is a pseudo-family, Taiki the Mom, Kiriha The Dad, Nene the Mom while Yuu the Child

Taiki is spoils Tagiru a lot even though he is a mentor because he see him as little brother too

Taiki kinda seen him in Tagiru after he knows that Tagiru risk his safety for his friends, he want to tell him that his safety also important but he feel hypocrite about himself so he decided to not tell him about it

If Akari can't take care Taiki for a while, Kiriha would go Taiki house with a private jet even though he was in America for a meeting but knowing Taiki, he knows he need to go there fast, he would barge in kicking his door and dragged him to eat and drink water

Tagiru secretly blame himself and think he is stupid because he think if he smarter enough, Taiki couldnt get hurt by Quartzmon, and he has secretly inferiority complex, that why he want to surpass Taiki. he see Taiki as a rival role model, multi talented kid he never become, once he do this with other kid when he was younger but people thought he an attention seeker child and have few friends, he cherished those friends that he risk his safety for them so he feel useful for them

Yuu realized Tagiru problems with his lack of safety that...

"Tagiru, I don't care, I will drag you down to Therapy center if that the last thing i do, i have money from Nee-san so you don't worry about the pay"

7. Taiki can't mad mad, he doesn't want to be mad so every time he feel angry that he start to cry

8. Kiriha secretly loves to spoils Xros Heart Team with expensive gifts

9. Taiki learn to give someone speech of friendship /hj and punch them from his hospitalized friend

10. Tagiru sometimes feel like doesn't deserve Taiki's goggles

11. Ever since Taiki can hear digimelody, he can play music pretty well, just not singing

Now to the AUs, i currently have one, this one that keep me brainstorming so much that went into my dream,

Timeline Fixers AU:

This AU inspired some from HSR, but there a twist

There also some suicidal tendencies so if you don't want to read it, skip it to other crossover

Tagiru is kinda similiar to canon but kinda chill but after prologue, his mischievous side rises

Prologue titled 'If he always do this, so i can too' : Tagiru and Taiki do school as usual, everything back to normal, Tagiru is junior in highschool while Taiki is a senior that gonna graduate but there actually wrong with Taiki but Tagiru doesn't know what so he ignore it until Taiki say anything but .. when he saw Taiki casually walk to cross the road while car gonna hit him, he knew he gotta save his mentor and pull him up, after that Taiki broken ever since, Kiriha think this is Taiki snap. Tagiru doesn't know what to do, he want to help him but Taiki look so broken then.. a voice heard his wish, a calm voice saying to his head, "Child Of Destiny, as 7th Legend Hero, your duty came again and try to fix this mess by dimension/space time travel then you can save everyone including your mentor, Taiki Kudou

"Fine then..."

"But child, do you think this is path you want to take, this journey will cost you a lot even your sanity and health"

"It's fine, if Taiki can handle a digimon war so i can too... no matter what, beside this is my payback for him, guiding me all this time"

"Good luck to you, Hunter" then Tagiru take a step in to a space time travelling Trailmon without looking back but he didn't saying a goodbye, not even to Taiki. All he thinks now if the core timeline be at peace, then he can come back

then in Frontier, Shinya become Warrior of Earth and celebrating with the team until an evil digimon attack them out of nowhere, then they lost and Takuya save Shinya life till the very end. Then he heard same voice as Tagiru heard and become a Timeline fixer to save his brother and friends.

this journey take a lot of patience cause fixing and guiding digidestined kids is hard when most of the time, they keep discreet

This aus have timeloop too so when they fail, the timeline reset and start all over again

Because they doesn't want to get recognized, they act discreet and act like a villain more like anti-villain/hero that help/guiding everyone little by little, at first they doesn't want this but after making huge progress with little time, the karma bit their backs and got worst ending so they know they need to stay away as possible and guide them not too much.

When they got caught, they used their fake name like Tagiru is Tsukasa, a reference to Tsukasa Kadoya from Kamen Rider Decade that a lot of dimension think he a villain and Tsukasa force being a villain for the sake of protecting the dimensions. He knows this when Taiki rambles about Kamen rider

while Shinya choose Kyousuke, a reference of Tsurugi Kyousuke, a character of Inazuma eleven, that once a villain but he become one cause he can pay his brother medical surgery etc, in nutshell, want to save his brother

Taiki situation is the same as Emu Hojo in the novel, inspired from that but Taiki situation realizing if he doesn't have a dream so he didn't need a college cause he think so selfish of him doing college even though he blessed being a child-prodigy so he think his life is selfish and become diasosiative state and yknow try to d word himself

While Emu in that novel is a young kid that rough life, have a absent parent that didn't care about him, make himself clumsy so he can go to clinic for affection, attention cause he never got that from his father, eat frozen food cause he don't know how to make food then play video games, he thought his life is a like game so he think if he died, he can game restart and he did by crossing a road even though the red light still on and a car crash into him, luckily he survived but he forgot why he did it in the first place

A/N : Tbh i thought XW written by Kamen Rider Ex-Aid writer cause how similar but no, it's actually Kamen Rider W/Drive, the most normal and not too angsty Kamen Rider i ever seen

Timeline Fixer basically Stellaron Hunters but Homura-fied and fixes every world/timeline danger secretly so no one knows and every timeline can be at peace so basically villains that actually not villains that guiding the characters little by little by giving hints and act like a mysterious villains that doing work in the dark, while talks mysteriously and giving mysterious hints

For now, i can think only two for this team, maybe i can add more if i can

After Tagiru became a Timeline Fixer, he suddenly more edgelord lmao but he still himself with more michevious side, basically like Kafka

Shinya somewhat a walking Informant so he can remind Tagiru the script of how its going to happen

The Timeline now a mess and the evil digimons that never seen before appear and not supposed to appear in the core timeline, and need to get rid of it by Timeline Fixers cause the digimons may cause harm to the timeline

Timeline Fixers came before Digidestined children started their hourney watched them far away so they know if there gone wrong or not

Tagiru and Shinya may be same age as before they take their journey as timeline fixers but mentally, they aged A LOT

Their digivice upgraded so much that look like a phone but still has D-Tector or Xros Loader functions with few edition which is can summon a weapon anything so they can fight with digimon partner, their weapons can be more damage if they bond with their digimon partner in sync so well

Tagiru's weapon is a scythe, when he and Arresterdramon in sync, the scythe give Tagiru Ability to sprint fast and past through living being like a ghost.

Shinya's weapon is Earth like knuckles fantasy weapon that help him control Earth powers

Tagiru realized this journey is hard, with his mistakes alone can make timelines messy so he need to serious about it. But like that mysterious digimon voice said before, warning him of the journey he take, this journey will give him a lot of despair, he seen his consequences when take a rash action and put a timeline more messy than it's should be.

As a Timeline Fixer, sure you didn't aged too much but your mental age will increase and increase your maturity too but you will suffer an eternity of regrets, sorrow and despair. But as long, you have Courage, Hope, Bravery, and Friendship etc (i forgot most crests so forgive me) alongside you.. you can breathe easily and fight that despair.

Gumdramon know Tagiru despair is like an abyss now so he take some of his despair so Tagiru didn't feel left out. Tagiru opposes this idea from the start cause he don't want Gumdramon berserk and lose his old self but Gumdramon disagree and do it anyway. He didn't go berserk and changed his form (? I have low knowledge of digimon) to Dark Gumdramon, his looks more menacing now but he still his old self, but more protective to Tagiru and Shinya.

So basically reader has a nail/ lip bite problem, and sensory issues. But juggernaut is there to and help ya <3

• you’ve always had a really bad issue with biting your nails and lips. Biting the skin around your nails isn’t new either. You chew until you need a damn bandaid.

• juggernaut has taken notice to this issue and often carry’s bandaids around on his person just for those moments. Chapstick too for your lips.

•but recently you two went out on another little shop date. It was early in the morning. Everyone wanted coffee and it was busy at the small pastry shop you two entered.

• it was really noisy. It was really busy. And you have bad sensory issues. Worst possible combination. The sound was ringing in your ears. It felt like a pulsing wave taking over your body. An unbearable amount of vibrating in your head as you stepped outside the small shop. He was worried and of course came with you.

•you began to tear at your lip and twiddle your fingers as you stood outside next to the wooden fence keeping in the outdoor tables and chairs of the shop.

•”h-hey! S’ everything okay? Your biting your lip again..” takeru shyly spoke as he stood next to you, he pulled out some mint chapstick from his pocket and held it in front of you.

•you gave him a look of discomfort as you took the chapstick, put it on, then covered your ears. the noise was overbearing. And you were still outside the shop!

•”sorry hun.. it’s super noisy in there, I guess today isn’t my day to be around a lot of people…”

•internally he just freaked Becuase you’ve never called him any sweet nickname like that. His face turned a deep red, You two weren’t even dating..yet. His heart skipped a beat as he got an idea.

•as you continued to chew on your lips and tear at the skin and nails on your hands. He gently took hold of your hands and lead you away to the back part of the building. The early morning sun was hitting just the right spot on your precious face. He died a little inside everytime he saw your beauty.

•He bent down to your height. Using his left hand to move some hair out of your face. Pushing it behind your ear. He gave up a soft smile as his hazel squinted eyes met yours.

•he moved your hands to put them around his own neck. As he pressed his forehead to yours. He took both his hands and put them on your ears. Gently stroking some of your hair in the process. To try and drown some of the noise out.

•this always helped you cool down. Being near the person you loved most. He was so sweet to you. Always willing to help you out in any situation, he cares so much about you.

•not even saying a word he gently kissed your forehead with those soft lips of his. nuzzling into your hair as he pulled you close to his chest.

•you took your arms from around his neck as he stood straight, And wrapped them around his torso. Snuggling into him. He was blushing pretty hard at your affectionate gestures. But he loves it and so do you. Hell even your face was pretty red

•”don’t worry sugar.. y’ know I’ll always be here to help you.”

•the words flowed through your body, he spoke in such a soft tone, you know he meant it. he always does. He never wants to make you upset.

• you took your arms off him and grabbed his face, pulling him down to your level and standing on your tiptoes. He took ahold of your shoulders as you gently kissed him on the lips.

•first for everything. Right?

•you gently broke away from the few second kiss as you looked at him and smiled. You thanked him. He means so much to you.

•the more you stared at him the more red and nervous he got. Untill he finally went for the kill and grabbed you by your hips. He lowered himself so you didn’t have to stand on your tip toes anymore, and kissed you Again.

•that kiss spiraled into a whole bunch of sweet kisses. So many. you just kept kissing. Not stopping. I wouldn’t call it making out, by any means. It was just showers of sweet passionate kissing shared between you two. He finally pulled away from your lips as he thought his heart was about to EXPLODE.

•you didn’t stop there though. You kissed all over his face. His cute little button nose. His soft cheeks. His chin. His temples. Literally anywhere you could reach you kissed. He couldn’t stop giggling and smiling as He held onto you like his life depended on it.

• he eventually couldn’t take it anymore and just kissed your lips again. Smiling into it as much as You were. You kept filling your hands full of his hair, or rubbing his back. He kept rubbing his thumbs over your waist. you two stayed in that ally kissing for a good 10 ish minutes..

•you both stopped and just stared at each other. You held onto his torso, “I love you so much…More then anything..can we stay like this forever?”

•he gave you a small “huh” as looked at you as his smiled became even brighter. He giggled again and hugged you. He felt like he was going to cry cuz he loved you so gah dayum much.

•”please…oh sol I love you so much to…”

•surprisingly enough he didn’t stutter. He was so cute. You grabbed him and kissed him even more and more and more. You never wanted to leave this moment. You didn’t wanna leave the small area you two were in. Completely forgetting about biting your nails and lips, or the sounds going on around you. You just zeroed in on his breathing and voice. That’s all you needed to hear.

•it had been about 20 minutes, you two stayed in that ally for 20 minutes kissing and kissing and hugging and loving on each-other. Oh you two love birds couldn’t get ENOUGH. You two left that ally with a few hickys on takeru’s neck and hand prints on your sides from how hard he was squeezing you (not like you minded)

•you guys didn’t have sex or anything you just enjoyed each others company, a lot!

•he let you ride on his back on the way home. You stopped and grabbed some snacks and a drink from a not-so-loud place and went back home and cuddled. falling asleep at noon together on the couch completely tangled in eachother

• you didn’t feel the need to bite anything for the rest of that day with him by your side. The only thing you though about biting was him. 🤤

Hey Angst Queen! your other anons always talk about heigen final, in relation to Eiji.

How about this, how did Shinnosuke, and Haruto react when after they left Emu and Takeru, the youngest among the group, that being Takeru, almost died?

seems legit. im dumb so sometimes i forget shit but lot of peeps ask about how everyone reacts to eiji's death so it kinda is in the mid of heigen final and ooo 10year? idk man im not functioning rn

BUt listen, I rarely get to talk about Drive and Wizard and im living for this shit, thank you. S O

Shinnosuke is closer to Takeru than Haruto so honestly, when he heard this, he's either leaving his chair to go find Takeru (which is 80% of the time what he does) or calling up the said boy. By the time he's there, Takeru is completely fine of course and just waves at him like, "Oh! Hi! What are you doing here-?" "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ALMOST DIED?!"

"T...This isn't the first time?" Shinnosuke blue screens for a good like 8 seconds then closes his eyes, inhaling through his nose and channeling every single ounce of patience that he has to deal with this. "What?!" "....uh....so..." Takeru and Shinnosuke had a very long talk after that actually, and Shinnosuke is basically Takeru's emergency contact at this point.

Haruto, to him, death is...not pretty. He's lost a good chunk of people and helplessness is something he loathes to the nth degree. So while Shinnosuke is half way to panic kingdom, he's chewing on the inside of his cheek and heading towards Takeru to check up on him as soon as he can. He isn't "in your face" as Shinnosuke is but more so watching Takeru from a distance.

"Hey," he would state to the other. "Don't hesitate to call on any of us for help, alright? Senpai or kouhai." "I know!" Takeru would beam brightly at his senpai's words. "I'll be careful.' "You better be." Haruto warns, pointing a powdered sugar covered finger at him accusingly. "Or else."

Takeru does not want to find out what that means but knows Haruto-senpai won't do anything dumb...he hopes.

Wanted to do that awhile longer, but recently got reminded by @legendary-girl-a

1. Which musical was the first that you have watched? Your impressions on the overall production?

I don't which was exactly the first whole production, I think it is Live the first, since it existed on YouTube.

But my first contact with Hakumyu was definitely "Ryūgi ~ Don't forget my style", and the first thing I thought was "mn, I don't like it...." That was over eight years ago.........

2. Which musical is your favourite in terms of the song performances and why?

Definitely Kazama Hen, I just love the tension between the two leads, the unspoken romance and the always lingering fear.

Also Kazama Hen is quite dark and it fits it so well. After watching Kazama Hen for nth time I thought a Hakuouki themed chocolate would be dark bittersweet chocolate with salty crystals and sugared cherry blossoms.

3. Which musical is your favourite in terms of the storyline and why?

Hard to say, seriously.... Beginning with Okita Hen till Harada Hen (except Reimeiroku I haven't watched), they all have their strength in storytelling.

I exclude Hijikata Shitan since it's the same story as Hijikata Hen. Although I am quite fond of Kazama Shitan, in point of storytelling I love the end of the original more.

4. Which musical is your least favourite in terms of the song performances and why?

I think that goes definitely to Souma Hen, not that the actors sing bad, but the music is to much focused on all characters on the same time and don't really tells the main characters story. (That doesn't imply I don't like the music, it's just out of place sometimes)

5. Which musical is your least favourite in terms of the storyline and why?

Definitely Souma Hen, first his world view and that of his opponent are not really explained, second why having a Hijikata/Kazama centered ending? Hijikata doesn't even become a rasetsu in the game.

Also Souma and Chizuru trying to tell the story, which leads to some confusion in timelining or perspective of when the story is told.

And the romance is what it is. (For further reading see my post on the review of Souma Hen)

6. The musical that you didn’t initially love, but has/have grown on you?

Hahahaha also Souma Hen, though it has its weaknesses, the songs and the real main "enemy couple" are great.

7. Original or latest casts?

That's not hard to answer... I like all of the old cast, but have some bias in the recent casts as well.

To be honest that should be questions, because I think we should be grateful, that this legacy is spread to new generations and new actors, because it means even in a far future we may be able to see new productions

8. Live 1 or Live 2?

Hard to say, can I say both? Both have good songs and quite enjoyable comedy.

9. Favourite actors/characters?

OK..... In no particular order

10. Actor/actress whom you think has the best vocal skills?

Definitely alot of Chizurus, maybe even all. Among them Tomita Maho, Makiura Itsuki and Matsuzaki Risa are top tier, although the latter is let down by her lack of acting skills (which are nesassary for a complicated character as Chizuru)

Suzuki Shogo goes without saying, Teruma, Mikata, Nakagauchi, Piroshi....

And I don't know if they are considered good singers, but I enjoy Matsuda Ryo and Hirose Daisuke quite a lot

11. Actor/actress whom you think did the best in bringing out the character into life

All of the original cast, additional Tomita Maho and Tanoue Marina. I know the other actors do their best, but the generation direct after them seemed to catch their shadows and didn't really think of the character themselves. Also I know there have been a lot good Hijikata actors after Piroshi, but for me no one catches the complexity of his character so accurate as him.

12. Hijikata,Souji,Saito or Harada,Shinpachi,Heisuke?

Definitely San baka, although Harada is my least favourite character in the whole Hakuouki universe

13. Favourite minor character?

Nagumo Kaoru, Miki Saburo

14. Favourite Shinsengumi member?

All? I am not really the type who is set on one character, the thing I like the most about them are their interactions and relationships?

15. Favourite demon character?

Chizuru and Kazama

16. Favourite Chizuru?

Tomita Maho (I know it was oblivious), after that all first gen Chizurus till Heisuke (for the rest they are all on the same level, although Karin Isobe might be put above those)

17. The actors/characters that you didn’t initially love, but has/have grown on you?

Chizuru -surprise! After seeing the anime, I thought, what a useless character, but in the musicals each Chizuru has her own colours and makes her own decisions and also because she is played by real human, it makes her more 3D as character and gives her character's depth.

18. Least favourite actors/characters? Why?

Second gen Koudou, I cought myself, rewatching old plays and suddenly thought: "Wow, Kodo used to be fun, where'd he'd go?" Or even think of him as an ensemble member, I am sorry to him...... 🙇🏼‍♀️

19. Favourite solo song?

22. Which Yaisa! is the best?

Either Kazama or Heisuke, because they really are adapted to the characters theme. Or Live.... I don't know, I love every version....

23. The songs that you didn’t initially love, but has/have grown on you?

Yaisa Yaisa, I thought of it as annoying, didn't listen to it for a while and after a long term it suddenly hit home..... It is a song that makes me happy and sad at the same time 😂

24. Which production are you most looking forward to?

I guess I got infected by everyone else, with wanting a Sannan Hen. (Because what is the use of an individual preference, when it comes to decision so we should unify our wishes and maybe we get what we hope for)

After that probably Nagakura Shimpachi Hen...

25. What does Hakumyu means to you?

My life........ Literally
