i had a dream last night that TCGplayer sent me an email where the title was “Congratulations! Your package is under attack.” and the only other thing in the email was a picture of a bunch of vikings tipping a FedEx truck over

I'm not a huge fan of super effective magic cards. I like weird stuff that doesn't work, and then I'm frustrated when it fails, haha.
But I really like to arrange stuff for Proxies. And since our child has a huge amount of coins and other knickknacks, I thought, why not?
I tried to fill the card with lots of baubles a child would find valuable, various coins, acorns ... The child loves to collect rocks from everywhere and insists bringing them home.
There's even a tiny duck hidden underneath the tules text ☆

TCGPlayer: ok, so u wanna optimize your cart, and u want to keep all the same printings?
me: yes pls. all i ask is that you keep the same printings. i want these specific printings.
TCGPlayer: ok! :)
me (checking my cart after optimizing): hm! these are not the printings!

Yu-Gi-Oh! card packaging guide
Has this ever happened to you? You pull an expensive card with no intention of playing it at locals cause the current meta sucks, so you sell it on the tcg trade site of your choosing, and now you’re not sure if you’ve sufficiently protected the card before sending?
No?
Okay I’m doing the guide anyways
Step 0: Sleeve
This is a no-brainer. If you’re not putting your Ultra Rare+ cards in sleeves, what are you doing?
Step 1: Tape the sleeve
The first step is sealing the top of the sleeve off with adhesive tape, however before applying, you should put a little but of paper over the top of the sleeve as to not get any adhesive on the card.
Step 2 (optional but very much encouraged): Toploader
Toploaders are like 10 cent a pop and if you’re online buying cards anyways, there’s a good chance you already have a bunch of these around, so just put your card into one, your buyer will appreciate it.
After that, just tape the toploader aswell, with a piece of paper again.
Step 3: Cardboard
For added stability, tape the top loader onto a piece of cardboard, stick the adhesive tape around the edges of the cardboard, preferably on all sides except the one you taped off.
This one is optional aswell, but again, I highly encourage it. Tape another piece of cardboard over the top, adds stability.
And that’s it.
Your card is now ready to be sent to the buyer. Have fun and good pulls!

I'm going to my first ever Yu-Gi-Oh tournament this Sunday. I'm so fucking excited. My inner child has been fed so much positivity since I started going to weekly meetups to play with people, and this is gonna be another milestone for me.
It's not gonna be a huge one, 30 people max will be in it, but there are prizes n stuff and I've been spending time getting a good deck ready, so I know I'll actually have a decent chance unlike my kid self that sucked at the game.
