We love conversions and this one in Kriebsensgatan 16A, Sweden, is a townhouse in the former 1929 building that was built for activities of The Knights Templar. Now, that's unique, and several of the original features are still intact. It has 3bds, 2ba, SEK 8,975,000 / $871,958.
Lovely original entrance hall to the unit. Note the original doors.
Inside you will find a large living room.
And, look at the pocket doors revealing a mural of the Knights Templar symbol.
Bedroom #1 has some funky art.
There's quite a large dining room.
And, a nice kitchen with an original cabinet.
Up a few stairs is a pantry.
Stairs to the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms.
The room has a lovely alcove.
The 3rd bedroom is a little smaller, but it's nice and makes a good guest room.
And, look at this- the meeting hall is still intact, with the built-in benches, and balcony.
And, at the other end is a stage with the symbol.
Here's one of the baths.
Huge light and bright basement has a kitchenette and lots of potential.
The unit also has access to a lovely gated courtyard and parking.
Some original plans.

I don't think we talk enough about the bloodweave implications of gale getting snatched from camp and impersonated and kept by orin. impersonated having a suicidal spiral no less. to astarion's face. do you understand? astarion's seen so many of gale's smiles and masks that he thinks he recognizes all of them, but it still takes him a second to realize. he watches that same contortionist trick but it never hit when it happened to strangers, now it's happening to gale. now it matters, because orin has gale. do you understand?

If Toph and Suki had been there for The Southern Raiders, it would’ve turned into a girls’ trip where they sink the entire fleet while Zuko cries “no don’t drown them all” in the background

Inquisition Pillar (Haatkatro Khamb)
Located in Old Goa, India. A lone standing pillar of Shiva Temple, Shree Saptakoteshwar that existed during the reign of the Kadamba dynasty, dating back to the 12th century, which was demolished by the Portuguese during their invasion in the 1500s.
Portuguese demolished several temples and used it's relics to decorate their own windows, door frames etc.
This Pillar is one of the many monuments that witnessed atrocities prevailed on Hindus during foreign invasions.
As the name, “Haatkatro” translated to “where hands were chopped”, this pillar was used to chop the hands of thousands (~80k) of Hindus who refused conversion to Christianity and fought against heinous oppression by the Portuguese. 50% of them were Goan Brahmins.
The person who ordered this was Francis Xavier. Hilariously, Hathkatro Khamb is the same place where Christians hold fairs for Xavier, who is regarded as a “Saint” by them. He is rewarded for his brutality and success in conversions.
Several hundreds of Goan Hindus fought against tyrant Portuguese regime with immense bravery, and hence should be remembered as such.

I’m actually really fascinated by Jily and Lily now, precisely because it doesn’t look as if it bothered her that J and S were inseparable. She’s very clearly aware of how important they are to each other, she writes Sirius to tell him James needs to see him and it’s just like “yeah, this is How It Is,” no bitterness from James’s wife that James needs to see Sirius. She even signs it off with her love, she doesn’t resent Sirius’s place in James’s life in the slightest.
right?? it’s amazing and i think the only reason why i love jilypad as i do and can accept it wholeheartedly. i also think it speaks immensely to james potter’s capacity for love; it’s not easy to convince someone of their place on ur life, or to give them security and mental peace esp in times of extreme tensions, but that he was able to do that to the point that lily didn’t feel threatened? amazing.
i can see it happening bc lily accepts that her and sirius occupy different roles in james’ life and there truly is no competition. i think a fic once out it like? ‘sirius was his soul, but lily was his heart’ or sumn i’m not sure, and i do think that sums it up well. james has so much love in him, it overflows and fills in all the cracks and never makes the other feel inadequate. and i also see lily as coming into the relationship w an attitude of ‘i am finally ready for not just james but sirius as well’ bc she knows it s a duo, all jokes aside, which is the one thing most people don’t understand about them.

I love conversions, so thanks to Curieously for finding this telephone exchange building (1921) turned Masonic Temple (1952) turned residence (1996) in Portland, Oregon. 4bds, 4.5ba, $1.950M.
The entrance hall looks very Masonic Temple and industrial.
Come up the stairs to the kitchen. Looks like the island counter is a piece of board. Not loving that.
From the kitchen, a hall leads to the other part of the home.
There's this large room to the right of the hall.
Straight ahead is the spacious living room with original stage.
They have another little seating area on the stage.
This looks like a room with a daybed. These rooms are all very big and bright.
Cozy family room.
And, here's a 2nd kitchen that looks like it may have been the lodge kitchen.
On the other side of the wall is a kitchen table.
This may be the primary bedroom.
Here's a huge unused room. Looks like it has an office window.
A large room with a third kitchen.
Second bedroom.
Cute bath with a vintage tub.
The place is huge. Here's another hallway and more stairs.
These stairs lead to the basement that's partially finished.
This is still a stall bathroom from when it was a public space.
The basement has ample lighting so it's not creepy.
Can you imagine heating this massive place?

speaking of chuuoku/bat comparisons!!!! otome and kuukou have very similar takes on fashion where they combine traditional clothing with something more modern!!!!!!
both grew up in traditional households and want to subvert their traditions, so for both it may be a symbol of that

Top5 vegaspete scenes
ANON I NEED YOU TO KNOW IT WAS SO HARD TO PICK THESE AND EVEN HARDER TO PUT THEM IN ORDER AND IM STILL NOT SURE ABOUT IT BUT HERE WE GO
1. the hospital scene. the amount of times i've rewatched this scene is honestly ridiculous and the serotonin that shoots into my brain every time i do is honestly unparalleled. to see them finally happy and at peace and with a bright future full of love ahead of them was the most rewarding and satisying ending i could ever ask for. i love my little family of three.
2. the pool scene. i love you pool scene. i love you "i'm here, vegas". i love you vegas falling to piecies and pete holding him through it, refusing to let him go. i love you "would you stop saying that you got nothing left? i'm right here". i love you "because i'm hungry". i love you "are you very hungry? can someone else take you to eat?". i love you food metaphor. i love you "you DARE push me away?" i love you "i'm your pet, aren't i? and i'm hungry now". i love you "could you please turn around to look at me?" i love you vegas and pete being mirror of each other and truly existing only when they're together. i love you vegas turning around. i love you pete completely losing it after vegas gets shot.
3. the sex scene. talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, it was beautiful and perfect and surprisingly tender and changed me personally as a person. also gave me my favorite shot of all time.
4. "i love you, pete." VEGAS TELLING PETE HE LOVES HIM AND KISSING HIM WITH A MOUTH FULL OF BLOOD SURROUNDED BY DEAD BODY AFTER ASKING HIM IF PETE COULD BE THE ONE TO KILL HIM IF HE HAD TO DIE. DO I REALLY NEED TO ADD ANYTHING.
5. the bar scene. i don't know what to say about this one except that im pretty sure it rewired something up in my noggin. vegas grabbing pete's gun and pointing it against his own chest, telling pete to shoot. pete being unable to do it and "you know why". pete breaking down and vegas holding him through it. pete gently cupping vegas' face. YEAH.......... YEAH.
