Literally 90% of the hostile interactions I've had in my life could have been solved, and most of the time straight out avoided if the people involved had been able to admit the simple truth of ''Just because you just realized you were bad at math doesn't mean you have to take it down on the one who just solved the math problem for you !"

Since I was like 6 years old, I was made to feel bad because I knew things neurotypical, mainly adults, didn't know. It was awful with all my classmates, most of them hated me. It was awful. I learned to tone it down, I learned that it was my fault and that I had to adapt to avoid looking smarter than everyone. Up to the last day I saw my parents, they did it. They denied it when I had the answer to a question because hOw DaRe yOU bE smArteR thAN Me ??

You know how it felt ? It felt a lot like having to learn to smile with my lips closed because my mother thought my toothy smile was unpleasant to see. Like it's fucking unfair and I'm working hard as an adult to unlearn and undo all that damage.

I'm often asked why I don't like people. That's why. It's because simply existing with them is seen as a war declaration and they don't pull their punches and I'm expected not to fight back.

I'm sick of it.
