Buck: I was put on this earth to do one thing.
Buck: Luckily, I was also given bad birth parents and ADHD, so I forgot what it was and I can do whatever I want.

I can't believe there are Buck stans out there who hate Maddie for leaving him?? Did y'all never watch the show or do you not understand how abuse works?? Maddie is someone who grew up with parents who were too busy grieving their dead child to love their remaining children. While Buck had his older sister looking out for him, she had no one until she met Doug. Doug was probably really nice to her at first. Maybe he was the first person to show Maddie the kind of love she always wanted. Maybe he was showing Maddie he was protecting her by keeping her away from the rest of the world. Like Eddie, Maddie was always the caretaker. She raised Buck and took care of her grieving mother. So when she found someone who was willing to take care of her, in his own fucked up way, she found herself drawn to him because she had never been shown any better love.
So of course she doesn't want to leave the one person who's willing to love her. That doesn't mean she doesn't love Buck. She loves him like her own son. She gave him her own jeep, essentially cutting off her own means to escape an abusive partner.
She was also a teenager who fell in love with the wrong person. She is not a villain, she is a victim.

Later, Bobby will feel a little guilty for being the one who was there. It was complete chance, an entirely accidental set of circumstances. Maddie, it should have been Maddie here, or at least Maddie here too, but Chimney got caught in traffic ferrying Jee-Yun to Mrs. Lee’s before his shift started so he’d had to apologetically hand her off to Maddie at the hospital so she could finish that journey and he could go straight to the station. Hen and Athena were both at work already. The Buckley parents were off somewhere, doing something. Last they’d talked they had complained of the discomfort of waiting room chairs that Bobby had politely sat in for the better part of the last week. Eddie might have been in the hospital or might have been at home with Chris, Bobby never thought to ask afterwards. Not too far, never too far, the palpable desperation of his want to be close to Buck driving him away from the man’s side just as much as it kept him close.
So it’s just Bobby in the room, alone there for no more than 20 minutes when Buck’s eyes start moving behind their lids again. It’s happened fairly frequently over the past 24 hours since they’d taken him off the ventilator, and they’d all tried to learn not to get excited about it and failed every time. Bobby holds his breath as he watches Buck keep taking his own, following the flick back and forth of movement.
He just doesn’t think he has any more claim to Buck than any of the rest of them. He doesn’t deserve to be here more than Hen and Chimney, his siblings by choice, or Maddie, his sister by choice and blood and time and hard work. He doesn’t deserve to be here more than Eddie does, Eddie should be here, Bobby knows his heart would unbreak, seal right back up to see Buck wake again. Christopher, even, the child Buck is helping raise and is so good at doing so, should get to be in this chair at his side. It’s not fair that he - captain and sometimes friend and father only in an abstract, unspoken way that Bobby doesn’t much believe he’s done enough to earn - is the only one present when Buck’s eyes finally, finally flutter open. Bobby had forgotten, somehow, how blue they were, even this tiny peek of them.
“Nurse!”
He’s surprised his voice doesn’t crack more than it does as he calls out, but then he’s not thinking about it at all because Buck’s open eyes drift towards the sound, and Buck is looking right at him.
“Buck- Buck, hey, kid, can you hear me?” His voice shakes and so do his hands as they reach and hover over Buck’s chest and face.
Buck stares blankly at first, blinking slowly, and then his nose wrinkles in such a familiar way that it almost chokes Bobby from the inside. “B…”
“Yeah, yeah, hey, I’m right here-“
Buck blinks again, and Bobby thinks someone should turn the lights off for him, and he vaguely notices that hospital staff are rushing into the room, but then Buck’s eyes are widening and his arm is moving - moving! - and Bobby is catching his hand and Buck’s fingers are curling around his own. “Bobby,” he says, voice raspy and a little slurred and maybe the most beautiful thing Bobby has ever heard.
“Y- yeah, kid, I’m here.” He rests his free hand against Buck’s face and Buck leans into his palm, and tears well up immediately at the small amount of pressure.
Buck searches his face with a frown and Bobby wishes he knew what he was looking for so he could give it to him and smooth over the slant in his eyebrows. “You… you’re okay?”
“Yeah, kid, I’m okay, I’m right here, I’m okay.” Bobby runs a thumb over Buck’s birthmark, squeezes his hand. “It’s okay, you’re awake, your eyes are open-” he has to stop to laugh, it bubbles right up out of him even as the tears spill over. “Your eyes are open. You’re here with me, you’re awake,” he laughs again, choked up with it, and leans his forehead down to rest against Buck’s. Guilt will come later. For now everything is okay, because Evan Buckley died last week and is now nodding against him, breathing on his own, holding his hand, awake, awake, awake.

Summary:
There's no reason for Eddie to feel so wrong. Everything’s normal in his life; He lives with his uncle and his brother, his and his friends’ band is a moment away from making it big, he has a boyfriend he loves more than anything else and life’s pretty great, but something still feels... misplaced. His memories are all mixed up and he seems to be remembering his life incorrectly- sometimes he’ll feel pain or discomfort in places he isn’t even wounded in, he’ll have memories that go completely against one another, and there are some weird things his mind doesn’t allow him to even think about, such as red skies, bones snapping and the way Dustin screams his name. All in all, it’s easy to ignore, up until he sees a strange girl with blood trickling down her nose.
Thanks for the rec!

My lovely readers, I swear I'm not dead. My work has been crazy and I had almost a month of health complications. Plus I'm working on my Big Bang fic! Some of you will be very happy about that one...
But now, some AU ideas.
Pantheon of gods isn't really set. Sure, you have functions of gods like the god of the dead, of the sun and so on, but the given god isn't a single entity. Instead, it's reminescent of a jury duty. You get your notification and get transported to your godly domain. For the time being. Could be a year, could be ten. And if you think you're not qualified? You're wrong.
Former bully Steve who withdrew from everyone following his fall from grace becomes a god of mending relationships. He stands in front of arguing couples, broken families and estranged siblings, hands on hips, perfecting his no bullshit policy. "I don't care if Aunt Nellie stole your grandmother's silverware, Ethel. Silverware is stupid. But what is even stupider than silverware is sulking about it for decades even after her children returned those stupid forks and spoons. Now, repeat after me: I will go to my niece's birthday party and I won't act like a bigoted cunt there. Oh, you take issue with my language? Well, I take issue with your attitude, Ethel."
Eddie, who considers himself a coward, becomes the god of unexpected courage. He appears in the time of highest need and usually panics way more than the person he's supposed to help. "Uh. Oh fuck. Shit. So...this isn't great, but you can do it. I think. Look, public speaking is a bitch, but guess what? If you don't go up there and say what exactly is wrong with this school, it will be another jock praising the local equality and friendly spirit and all the crap you know isn't true. So you know what? Fuck them! Go up there and tell them that the bullying isn't gone, they're just hiding it better, and watch how the smiles drain from their faces. Make them pay, now go go go!"
It all goes fairly well until they are both sent to Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley. Eddie is working his ass off to give Robin courage to confront Nancy about avoiding her after she let it slip she's a lesbian. In the meantime, Steve's chewing Nancy out for being spineless in her relationships and "I don't care if you have a sexuality crisis, Nance, Robin doesn't deserve this behavior from you and if you don't go to her house and tell her you're sorry for making her feel like you hated her for her sexuality, maybe kiss her in the process, I don't care, I'll do something drastic. Just watch me."
And maybe Steve and Eddie make the two girls realize there isn't a problem, that they actually like each other a lot. Maybe they go for a drink to celebrate the job well done. And maybe, after they get released from their godly duties, they find each other in the real world and use some of those negotiation skills and courage to find someone to share their life with.

Lessons in Honesty
steve harrington x reader
chapter 1
– other chapters: part 1 ⋆ part 2 ⋆ part 3 ⋆ part 4 ⋆ part 5 ⋆ part 6 ⋆ part 7 ⋆ part 8
– synopsis: Being Robin Buckley’s younger sibling had always been uneventful, up until she got herself tangled with Steve Harrington. And really, you were happy for her. She deserved friends. What was bothersome was when he got let in on small secrets like your infatuation with Eddie Munson, and decided to take it into his own hands to try and get him to pay attention to you-- by pretending to be your boyfriend.
– notes: it has been a long time since i have written fan fiction but here i am!! my dumbass loves a fake-dating plot and i couldn’t resist. i hope to update this pretty regularly, and i post here and under the same username on ao3. i think i’m going to continue to post this as a reader insert and then do an alternative version that’s with an oc (because i can and reader insert series mess with my brain) BUT here’s to hoping y’all enjoy it!!  read here or on ao3  _____________________________
“Stop staring, dweeb.”
The voice cut through a fraction of your brain fog. Not enough to draw your attention away from your current pin-pointed focus, but certainly enough that some semblance of normal thought would have eventually trickled back in. You know, had it not been for the second later when an arm cut across your vision and someone flicked you on the forehead. Patience was never your sister’s virtue.
Still, it did shock you enough out of the stupid little reverie you had fallen into that had been going on for a good five minutes. It was probably better she busted the daydream before someone else caught you and thought you were someone’s lobotomy patient left without supervision.
“Christ, Robin!” You huffed, slapping away her hand as she gave you an indignant look. It was distraction enough that you managed to flick her right back on the forehead right after. Maturity was never your virtue.
“That was a lot harder than I did it,” she argued back, already trying to thwack you once again.
It quickly became a sitting wrestling match as you tried to capture each other’s arms, biting low insults at one another as it went along. You finally managed to yank Robin’s arm down and back to her side, head twisting fast to see if anyone was watching the scuffle. Thankfully not. There was already so much commotion between the football idiots trying to knock soda cans off one another’s heads by throwing a spiral. They probably weren’t even trying to hit the can anymore with how much harder they laughed when the ball slammed into someone’s face instead. I mean— It was kinda funny.
“I sat beside you, and you didn’t even notice me. Do you think that if you stare long enough, it will intimidate Eddie’s clothes into falling off his body?”
The instinctual hand that slapped over her mouth at that moment might have been loud enough to draw some attention if it wasn’t so perfectly timed with the loud smack that came from the football hitting someone in the face again. Divine intervention at its finest.
“You don’t have to say every thought that pops into your head,” you whispered harshly, eyes still nervously darting around just to double-check no one had heard. Your only solace was that you hadn’t decided to sit at a closer table to Eddie, who was far out of earshot halfway across the quad.
“Tell me about it,” offered a new voice from directly behind you. Shock and surprise rolled through your body as if electrocuted, eyes widening as a familiar figure sat opposite you at the picnic table. “The other day, she was complaining about how annoying it is that your mom tells embarrassing stories about you both to company, but then lets it slip in the same sentence that she wet the bed until she was nine.” Robin must have kicked Steve’s shin under the table because he let out an even more dramatic “Ow!” than you thought him capable of.
“What, did they realize they made a mistake in letting you graduate and rescind your diploma?” You asked him, probably a bit more snippy of a greeting than usual, given that you were still red-faced and deflated from Robin’s mental attack.
Robin gave a short snort at how Steve reared his head back an inch, his floppy hair moving with him like its own appendage. “Ignore them. They’re just mad Eddie Munson doesn’t know they exist.”
You always thought choking on water was something only people on television did when they were shocked. Turns out, It was very much an honest reaction and one you could do simply with your own spit. “I hope you trip over your own feet and the doctors have to wire your jaw shut,” you breathed out, covering your heating face with your hands as you tossed your head back, wishing you were anyway else. And by anywhere, you meant that in the truest sense there was. Let the footballers whisk you away and use your face as target practice instead.
“Munson? You like Eddie’ The Freak’ Munson?” Steve sputtered back. You were thankful that he didn’t just laugh in your face instead, like when Robin found out. You still felt the phantom feeling of her spit flying on your face when she did. Then again, maybe laughter wasn’t the worst reaction. When you removed your hands from your face and saw the genuine look of astonishment and confusion cross his features, brows furrowed, head slightly cocked to the side and studying you as if you were the freak, you began to wonder if you’d prefer the slice of a chuckle and not the hammer of a disappointed and alienating stare. “So you’ll joke about me never graduating— which I did, they can’t just take that back— but find that a desirable trait in Eddie? You do realize he was held back for two years.” As if his own words finally hit his ears, he screwed his face up like he smelled something bad. “Jesus, dude is like twenty years old.”
“I never said it was logical, okay?” you huffed back, folding your arms over your chest, then unfolding them, feeling too restless and itchy at the scrutinization your sister and her idiot friend were putting you through. “I know it’s not going to happen—known that since I was a freshman and joined the Hellfire Club. You can both let it go now.”
You’re a Junior now, and Eddie still treats you the same as if you were a wandering lost puppy he pitied and took in. You kind of were back as a freshman. No friends, not really anyone to talk to other than Robin, wandering around aimlessly in the hallways like the least scary ghost there was, given how many people tried to walk through you. You’d prefer outward avoidance to that. Still, things were different now. Maybe your only friends were members of the Hellfire Club, but at least you’d ranked up from lost puppy to social pariah but with a decent backbone. Eddie, however, clearly didn’t see it that way. His nickname of pipsqueak stuck and has followed you since. Sometimes, he shortens it to Pip, which would be fine if half the student population didn’t think that actually was your name. Some didn’t even believe you when you corrected them.
Robin raised her hands up in surrender, which was bullshit if you’ve ever seen it. “Whatever. Look, I’ve got band practice, so you have to walk home by yourself. Tell Mom to remember to leave the leftovers in the fridge this time, okay? I don’t want to accidentally eat a fly like last time because she left my plate out.” She said that with so much ease as she stood up and walked away, acting as if she hadn’t behaved like someone sprinkled rat poison on her tongue when it happened. It was pretty gross, to be fair. Just thinking about it made you mentally gag and reach for a toothbrush.
“I’ll be fine,” you called out, the same time Steve let out a disgusted mangled noise that sounded halfway between a dog trying to get a stuck piece of kibble out of its throat and a baby trying to say their first words. You stood up from the bench and swung your backpack over one shoulder.
Steve’s voice cut off your movement when you began to walk away. “Hey, let me drive you home. Your sister made me come all the way here to drop off her trumpet she left in my car. I’m already acting like a glorified errand boy today.”
You gave a short, breathy laugh, eyebrow raised. “Just today?” You asked teasingly. That got you an eye roll. “I’m good. Robin just acts like this town is more dangerous than it is. I assure you, a walk by myself will not kill me.” She’s had a tendency to hover lately. And by association, so did Steve, though you just assumed it’s because you were hanging out with Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Max lately, and he had that weird sort of older brother/fifth-wheel type relationship with them. You also assumed it had something to do with Nancy. A lot of what Steve did had to do with Nancy.
“Are all you Buckley’s this painfully stubborn? Just get in the damn car,” he fought back with as much patience as your sister had. Which, as stated earlier, is none at all.
“Steve, it’s fine.“ At this point, you were arguing back merely on some screwed-up principle. You might have gotten farther with it had Steve not stalked next to you and yanked your backpack from your shoulder, already walking off towards the parking lot with conceited expectations that you would fall in line and trail behind him.
You did. He had your bag.
At least you managed to snag one last glance at Eddie as you walked past.
“Has anyone ever told you that your bossy?” You muttered under your breath as you stopped at the familiar burgundy brown BMW that your sister had begun to use as her personal taxi. He tossed your bag into the back once he slipped into the driver’s seat, leaning over the center console to push open the passenger door you waited by.
“Has anyone ever told you that you have bad taste in men?” He supplied back, putting the key in the ignition when you slammed the door shut.
“Don’t start,” you said, staring at him heavily annoyed as he pulled out of the parking lot. “I’m not even as bad as you. Everyone sees the way you pine after Nancy.”
His head snapped so fast to look at you that you quickly smacked his arm to remind him to keep his eyes on the road. “Everyone does not— I don’t *pine* after Nancy, okay? I get it. She’s with Jonathan. We’re friends.”
“Friends who want to—”
“Don’t start.”
Alright. Fair.
Still, it was hard to believe the whole friend’s thing, not only because of the looks Steve gave Nancy, but the ones you saw her give him behind his back. Jonathan wasn’t here. He was in California. And whether or not Nancy just gave Steve lingering looks that were remnants of the past, there were moments you wondered if that was just it. Robin surely didn’t. She was pro-Steve and Nancy all the way. You were shocked she hadn’t already made embarrassing T-shirts about it.
“Don’t let Robin pollute your thoughts,” Steve broke the silence, a more quiet seriousness passing over his concentrated face. “She thinks there’s still something there, but there isn’t. Probably because all these dates I’ve been on lately have all gone to shit. I think Nancy even stares at me with pity about it too.” Keeping one hand on the steering wheel, he ran his other in a frustrated motion over his jaw. “It’s annoying. I wish everyone would get off my back about the whole thing.”
“Well, why not just tell them you’re seeing someone? Not like it has to be anyone in Hawkins. Dustin’s got that long-distance girlfriend of his.” It was easy enough to lie about that sort of thing, right?
Steve gave an unamused snort. “Yeah, like Robin will just let that one slide. She’ll see right through it.”
“Then just ask someone to pretend to be your girlfriend for a while. I’m sure plenty of people are lining up just to have a shot with the late, great Steve Harrington, even if it isn’t real,” you joked, though it was true. You’d never really talked to him before he became friends with Robin, but you remembered him from the hallways last year. Heard his name bounce around girl’s lips too often to ignore it.
“Thanks for that,” he muttered in return, hand gripping his steering wheel tightly as he went quiet once more. You shrugged, turning your attention to the window as you watched your neighbourhood come into view. Playgrounds, bright red fire hydrants, trees with tire swings hanging off thick branches. Yeah. Truly a terrifying small town if you ever saw one.
“But maybe you’re on to something.”
Of course, you were on to something. You may be hopeless sometimes, but you were actually pretty clever—
“Why don’t you date me?”
It was a good thing you weren’t the one driving. You would have crashed the car. He would have deserved it.
“You can just drop me off here,” you replied, reaching for the handle, thinking the best option in this scenario was to tuck and roll out of the car. Steve grabbed your wrist before you could. Damn.
“I don’t mean for real, smart ass. But think about it. It would solve my problem, and maybe even yours too.”
You turned back to look at him with a face that read, ‘maybe they should have taken away your diploma, after all.’ “And what problem do you see me facing?”
“Eddie. Eddie’s your problem. You want him to notice you, right? Jerk off’s never been my fan, and it probably annoys the shit out of him that I hang around Henderson and the other idiots. Add you to that equation, mixed in with a guy’s stupid need to have something they can’t have, and he’ll want to be dating you in no time.”
Huh.
“It’s surprising you were never a mathlete in school with logic like that.”
“Can you be serious for a second?” Steve pleaded back at you, turning into your driveway as he did. Even though you were home, you didn’t think getting out of this car was going to be any easier at that moment than it was any earlier.
“I am being serious!” You replied back, a small laugh escaping you at the absolute absurdity. You wouldn’t be shocked if this was just some elaborate prank set up by Robin to pay you back for ruining her favourite sweater a week ago. It was a bit overkill, but you had to appreciate the effort. “You’re the one not being serious. No one would even believe it anyway.”
Steve gave an oddly offended look. “And why wouldn’t anyone believe it? What, you’d never stoop so low?” Jesus, here he was, putting words in your mouth already.
“No,” you said bluntly. “I mean you would never stoop so low. What, the holy ex-basketball player dating his best friend’s little sibling who spends most of their days drawing alone or playing Dungeons and Dragons? Doesn’t exactly scream your type.”
He opened his mouth to argue back, judging by the narrowed look of his brows but decided to drop whatever it was. He deflated with a sigh into his seat, bringing up a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose. “I-“ he paused again. “That’s not true, alright? Can you just think about it?”
You chewed the inside of your cheek, studying him and trying to understand why he was being so pushy with it. You could see how his predicament was bothersome. You’ve been on the receiving end of Robin’s persistent nagging countless times. But there was probably more to it than that if you were to bet. If Steve was so willing to sell himself out to try and make Eddie jealous, chances are he was hoping that using you would do the same for Nancy. He could deny it all he wanted, but there was still a hang-up there.
“Fine.” You relented, Steve’s hand immediately dropping from his face as he sat up perfectly straight like an obedient child just being told they could have one treat. You held up your hand to tamper it down. “Fine, I’ll think about it. Don’t get your hopes up.”
Turning back around to grab your backpack, you opened your door and slipped out of the car. Steve leaned over the seat and reached for the handle. You thought he would shut it and just be done with it, but he surprised you by saying, “don’t take too long. You don’t have to play hard to get with me,” with an infuriating smirk.
And then he shut the door in your face.

WIP WEDNESDAY
Here's a little snippet of one of the WIP's I have going on! A little bit of Buckley angst with some buddie thrown in ;)
“Just in time Buckaroo,” Chimney grinned as he helped himself to a burger patty.
“For what?” Buck asked, looking around the group with a confused smile as he gripped his plate in one hand. He placed his beer on the table, wiping his palm on his jeans.
“To tell us how you celebrated your 21st,” May said, grinning at Buck.
“An age-appropriate version,” Athena added, eyes narrowing at Buck in warning. “If you don’t mind.”
Buck ducked his head, letting out a chuckle.
“I’m guessing strip joint,” Chimney said, grunting when Maddie elbowed him in the stomach.
“Don’t be gross,” Maddie said. Then she looked to Buck. “Please tell me you didn’t spend it in a strip club.”
“Wait – you weren’t there for his 21st?” Karen asked, looking between the siblings.
“Ah, no,” Buck said, scratching the back of his neck, glancing at Maddie.
Maddie’s smile had dropped from her face, and she pressed her cheek against Jee-Yun’s as she blinked sadly at Buck.
Eddie bit back the retort that bubbled up in his throat by downing another mouthful of beer. He was sure that if he ever met the Buckley’s in person again, he would not be able to hold back his anger towards them and the way they had treated Buck. He deserved better than them.
“Sorry,” Karen winced, understanding that she had touched on a sensitive subject. She shifted closer to Hen, leaning into her side.
“It’s fine,” Buck said, shaking his head at her apology. “And no, I didn’t spend my 21st in a strip club.”
“Let me guess,” Hen said, a teasing smile on her lips as she pushed the conversation through the awkward moment. “A big bash in a bar! With all your friends.”
“Yes!” Chimney said eagerly. “And I’m guessing that is where you did your first body shot.”
“Uh, yeah,” Buck said through a smile. “Something like that.”
“Dad,” Christopher called out across the yard. “Dad! I spilt sauce on me.”
Eddie clapped Buck on the shoulder, handing off his plate into Buck’s free hand. “Duty calls.”
When Eddie had Christopher semi-clean (and he wasn’t sure how he was going to get that sauce stain out but that was a future-Eddie problem) the conversation had moved away from 21st birthdays and into the latest drama that was unfolding at Karen’s job.

the physical resemblance between billy and robin is too strong to be ignored so au where neil keeps sneaking out at odd hours and max comes to billy like “i think your dad is cheating on my mom” and billys like “eh i dont know...” and makes lays out all the ‘evidence’ she has which is really nothing, and billys trying to convince her that neil leaving susan would be a good thing, for susan and maxs sake, but max still wont let it go, so it ends up with max dragging billy on stakeouts with her. following neil around, which is dangerous as shit but max is a dog with a bone and wont let it go, so billy figures she’d be doing this anyway and its better to have him around in case neil catches her, so.
eventually they end up outside a house, which max recognizes at robins, and shes like “neils having an affair with robins mom?!” and billy... he’s familiar with adults having The Audacity™ but even he has to admit mrs buckley having an affair in her own house is... a lot. bold, to say the least.
max wants to go confront him right then and there and billys like no thats stupid we’ll figure something else out.
his version of figuring things out is running to robin the next time he sees her to be like ‘yo your moms fucking my dad just thought you should know” and robins like “what the goddamn hell are you talking about ???”
billy explains what he and max saw and robins like “wait neils your dad?!”
so basically neil and robins mom hooked up years ago while neil was in hawkins visiting family or on a business trip, whatever. didnt know he knocked her up. robins mom ending up meeting mr buckley after robin was born but still too young to really know better so robin just took his last name and he was always dad. but with neil living in town now robins mom decided to reach out and have them meet because its a small town, their paths were bound to cross, and robin deserves to know who her bio dad is. and neil never offered up his last name because he knew it would get back to billy and hes trying to avoid a whole scandal. the buckleys dont know what a menace neil is. robin knows billys dad is an ass...but again, she doesnt know neil and billys dad are one in the same.
cue robin saying how nice neil has been to her and billy having a whole crisis because why doesnt he get that version of neil? but he knows why... he doesnt want to burst robins bubble but the whole nice guy act is just a show and if robin sticks around long enough she’ll see his true colors.
AND on top of all this billy and robin have to confront being siblings and dropping this bomb on poor steve lmao whos honestly ecstatic. his boyfriend and his bestie are siblings? feels very convenient for him. until they start pulling the “dont fuck with my brother/sister!” card on him ... and then steves having less fun. max is excited to have robin as a sister now, though. because theyve decided even if theyre not blood related its close enough and no, billy, they dont care what you have to say about it.

Summary: Tears were streaming down his face without his control, and Buck let them. He allowed himself this moment to break like a year ago when he first realized why this day every year in his family was such a way it was. Why did Buck always feel empty and sad, why did he hear how Maddie and mother and even father cried. Why his parents were especially absent on that day.
The answer is: that day is forever recorded as Daniel's birthday, but he had too little of them.
He cried and cried until the candles were about half the size, then Buck blew them out, but before doing that, he looked up and said.
“I’m sorry. I'm so sorry. You should have more time. We should have more time. I wish I could help you, big brother.”
Or, for three years Buck deals with grief of loosing Daniel alone at Daniel's birthday, and fourth time he is not alone anymore.

Hey!, can I get a fluffy story where buck and his little sister (the reader) are just having a brother and sister bonding time. If that makes sense:)
here with me - e.b
Tumblr media
summary: y/n finds out her boyfriend cheated on her, so buck helps her get through it
evan buckley x sister!reader
i’ve never written a sibling story so hopefully this will be good!
scrolling through her latest instagram feed, y/n was relaxed in one of bucks living room chairs. she always makes herself home in her brothers apartment. buck was busy getting himself something to eat in the kitchen, so it was just y/n in the room.
y/n had graduated high school and saved up a ton of money from working and different freelance gigs to move out of the small pennsylvania town. she was accepted to one of the best LA colleges.
growing up, her parents barely paid any attention to her as their focus was all on maddie and doug, or buck and whatever he had gotten into. it took her a while to be able to come to her siblings as she had always felt isolated from them. however, after moving across the country to change her life and relationships, she found buck and maddie again. they worked on rebuilding their relationship. because for a long time, she felt so abandoned by buck and maddie as they had plans of leaving together, but never once mentioned it to her. she knew she was too young, but being trapped in a house lacking of love was almost impossible to deal with.
when checking out everyone’s stories, she saw the parties and dinners everyone was having whether it be friends from pennsylvania or from home. she clicked on someone she met in LA, who had attended a massive party off campus. everyone was clearly heavily intoxicated with god knows what, jumping and dancing around.
one particular person stood out though, someone who looked very familiar to y/n’s eye. he was dancing up against someone with his eyes shut, and his lips pressed against the random girls. y/n watched the video as her boyfriend made out with someone she doesn’t even know. she knew it was him. he wanted her to go, but her time with buck was more important than some stupid rager.
“alright! i have everything you could imagine, chips, beer, ic-“ buck cheerfully walks over to his little sister, placing the plates on the table before he notices the broken look on her face. “hey, are you alright?”
y/n doesn’t respond, not knowing what to say. she didn’t know if she should tell him or just keep it to herself for now. she thought about how she was supposed to be seeing her boyfriend tonight, but that was absolutely not going to happen. “y-yeah, i’m fine.” she lies through her teeth, not peeling her eyes away from the phone screen.
“c’mon, y/n, what’s going on?”
“it’s nothing, buck!” she shouts, a little louder than he had. “sorry, i just- can i stay here tonight?”
buck looks at her with a surprised look, she never really asks to sleepover, but he’s excited to have her anyway. “yeah, of course,” he says. “but if somethings going on, i have to know.”
y/n contemplates for a few moments, deciding to tell him before matters get worse. “i think, um, he’s cheating on me.” she starts, tears forming in her eyes. “look,” she points the phone to him and shows her older brother the heart-breaking video.
“what the fuck, man?” buck has a furious look on his face, his eyebrows are crinkled and his eyes shine with anger. “yeah, you’re not going back to him tonight, you’re staying.”
the two stay silent for a moment. buck doesn’t really know how to comfort her, wanting to make her feel better but there really isn’t anything to say in such a shitty situation. buck never really liked y/n’s boyfriend, but he didn’t want to say anything about that know. he didn’t want to rub salt on the wound. “are you… will you be ok?”
“i thought he loved me,” she whispers. “he said so, but it was all a lie. i’ve done so much for him and he does this?”
“i know, but he does not deserve you,” buck comforts her and moves in closer. “he clearly cannot see the resilient, kind girl that you really are and he is not worth the trouble and definitely not these tears. it sucks, and it’ll suck for a while, but you’ll realize that he is nothing but shit, and you will be happier without him. someone who loves you would not do that, y/n.”
y/n looks at buck with sad eyes before jumping into his arms. he’s taken aback by the abruptness of her embrace, but he wraps his arms around her anyway. “thank you, buck.”
“that’s what i’m here for. love you, kid.” he says.
“love you too,” y/n smiles and wipes a few of her tears. “i don’t know where to really go from here, we live together.”
“well, the apartment is under your name, and he has lots and lots of people. he doesn’t deserve you anymore.”
“i guess, but he’s going to put up a fight.”
“then me and maddie will deal with it, don’t worry about him,” buck grins and continues. “he’s dead to us.”
“he’s dead to me,” y/n repeats and nods in response, laughing as the hook their pinkies. as they do this, maddie walks into the apartment, seeing the interaction.
“without me? you’re doing the pinky promise without me?” she says, running over and putting hers in without even knowing what it is. she doesn’t have to, though, knowing that whatever it is, she will always be there for them.
y/n knows her brother and sister will be there for her whenever she needs them. she knows exactly who to call and who’s house to show up to at midnight. buck has been a happier person since maddie and she came to LA. as all the buckley’s are together, they sit in the comfort of each others presence.

Eddie Munson x reader/oc Lady and the tramp AU?
Okay so this idea just randomly popped into my head last night. So my Eddie Munson fans out there, would anyone be interested in reading an AU style fic based off the movie lady and the tramp?
What I have in mind is that (I’m either gonna do a reader insert or an OC haven’t decided yet) but reader/oc is like the princess of Hawkins High. Does cheer, is in line for valedictorian of her class, and known as the sweetest (to some naive but they’re really not they just have that kind of face that some would deem them as a bit ditzzy or naive to the world and needs to be sheltered and protected (so unfortunately the character will be Jason’s younger twin sibling).
But even though reader/oc will be league with the popular crowd, they don’t believe in the high school hierarchy and are friends with people of other clicks (bestie being our very own Robin Buckley which also means they’re also friends with our sweet, loving Steve Harrington.)
And of course our boy Eddie is the schools bad boy drug dealer but has secretly admired reader/oc from afar (I’ll work that scene with him and Chrissy but it’ll be reader/oc instead) and as they hang out, they’ll form this forbidden love story of the summer of 86 (cause DAMN IT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EDDIES YEAR AND HE DESERVED BETTER!!!!!!!!!!)
Anyways what do you all think? sound interesting? Yay? nay and if you’re interested in being tag leave a comment down below if you’re interested and I’ll get to work on it as soon possible.

Todays episode was such a bummer. No Eddie in buck's dream. Like I understand if the writers don't want pair them romantically but no one in their right mind can deny the importance of Eddie in buck's life. There were no logical reasons why Eddie wouldn't be in buck's dream. The writers aren't even trying to be subtle about it.
And I don't understand what is this obsession with forgiving asshole parents in Movies and TV shows. I hated how Albert tried to force a reconciliation between chimney and his father. And I hated even more how Mrs. Han tried to portray Chimney as prideful for not forgiving Mr. Han.
i have to admit, this was my first initial reaction to the lack of eddie in buck's coma dream. i get it. it's a normal surface level reaction, i think. with all the specs and clownery (affectionate) all of us do on tumblr before an episode airs, it's easy to expect something and then be disappointed when we don't get it. but!!! after some time, after some analyzing, after reading some people's takes, i have a more nuanced opinion now. sure, i would have absolutely loved to see eddie in this weird dream buck's mind cooked up, but i think what we got spoke volume. just the fact that the first two things that made him go there's something wrong here were eddie having his back, and then christopher in the tsunami? Choices Were Made. now. i'm not great at writing long and beautiful meta, i think other people have done it better than i ever could. i particularly love these posts:
this great in depth buddie meta
buck facing his childhood trauma
eddie does not fit in the parental or sibling love boxes
as for the parents storylines (the buckleys and hans)... yeah okay. i agree. i know that for some people forgiveness is important, or forgiveness is something that they need so they can move forward and not be stuck in the past. i understand that, i respect it. but i also believe that there's also a good story in not forgiving someone who has wronged you (and i don't feel like the buckleys or hans deserve their forgiveness tbh). i wish they would have gone down that path for at least one of them. i also feel like it's rushed, especially for chim and his father. i thought the reason why chim's father abandonned him was so surface level. he was too prideful? really? i mean i get what they're trying to do, but we need to see more. i really really hope we see more of it, there's much more to tell here. i absolutely love the eddie and ramon storyline, as well as the hen and toni arc. these characters had more in depth conversations, it felt more genuine and real to me, and, ultimately, not rushed. i for sure disagreed when buck said "i know you did your best" to his parents, because that is simply not the truth. but i also think it made sense for his character. buck loves people, he wants to be loved, and he wants a family so bad. so while i was disapointed to see where it's going with the buckleys, i'm not surprised. who knows, maybe there will be more!
i absolutely think this episode was about buck and his self worth, about buck and his relationship with parental figures. it wasn't about buddie at all and that's okay. i personally really enjoyed the episode, despite my initial reaction to the lack of eddie. it's for sure in my top faves, i thought it was absolutely brilliant. all the easter eggs and nods and the editing and camera work and just. i loved it!
