The first time Ino sees a picture of the Fourth Hokage, she excitedly asks, “Was he a Yamanaka?”

Mizuki-sensei smiles at her. “No, Ino. I know he’s blonde, but he doesn’t look much like your family, does he?”

Ino frowns at the portrait then turns to look at her brother, who seems similarly fascinated with the scroll, then back to the portrait of the Fourth. “He looks like Naruto.”

The rest of their class cranes their heads to get a better look at Naruto, as if they’ve never seen him before, and there’s a murmur of agreement. Shikamaru actually looks awake in class for once.

“Perhaps there’s a common ancestor,” Mizuki-sensei says finally.

Later, after class has let out, Shikamaru grabs her by the elbow and holds her back as Naruto, Sasuke, and Chouji walk ahead. She raises an eyebrow.

“Do you think it’s weird,” he starts, “that your father named you Ino instead of Naruto? He is older than you. The first born is supposed to have Ino in their name.”

Her eyebrows dip together, because Shikamaru already knows this, it’s come up before. “Yeah, but the adults already knew that you and Chouji were going to be boys, and the academy hates making all boy teams – our parents’ teacher complained to the hokage about it, remember? So it had to be me.”

“Right,” Shikamaru says, letting go of her elbow and nudging her forward so they can catch up before the others notice and start yelling at them.

Couple gaaleesakuino thoughts

Naruto asks Sakura why she's being so friendly with Gaara for no apparent reason (Naruto is oblivious as always). Sakura cheerfully informs him that she's Gaara's sister-bride! Horrified Naruto laments her definitely being forced to join Gaara's harem. Sakura corrects his thoughts after laughing her ass off. Gaara's her brother-husband, too silly! They're both married to Lee! (Gaara came up with the term during one of his maaany one-on-ones with Ino. She, on the other hand, is his 'sister-double-in-law')

Because of *cough* some bullshit *cough* I mean. Good!Orochimaru research, or Sakura's own ingenuity, Metal Lee is gaalee's bio son, even though both his fathers are transmasc, while Inojin is sakuino's bio son, even though both of his mothers are transfem. The kids are both cross-adopted, of course, plus Shinki is their adopted sibling! Still, step?-brothers Metal and Inojin. (Does this technically make Inojin be Shikadai's step-cousin?? Idk. I've tried my best with other headcanons etc but shipping characters in all the different eras (founders, naruto adjecent, boruto era) have made it near-impossible for me to avoid distant incest. A ramble for another post.)

Ino is still a clan heir, of a clan that resides in Konoha and has very strong ties with it through the Akimichi and the Nara. Gaara, as the Kazekage, could pull rank and diplomacy and allow Ino to move to Suna, sure, but Ino loves her clan! And Gaara loves Suna.. I think that Gaara and Lee would be primarily based in Suna (with Shinki and Metal as well) while Sakura and Ino (and Inojin) live mainly in Konoha, but with many many trips and stays and missions and international assignments etc. Sakura and Ino staying in Suna for a couple months "to help with the hospital and mental health infrastructure". Lee and Gaara visiting Konoha every festival and stuff like that.

That's not to say Lee and Sakura don't get their time together! Joint missions for sure, but sometimes only the one of them will visit the other's country, leaving Gaara/Ino behind. They've got fewer clan/political obligations to uphold, so they don't have to worry about excuses nearly as much. They love each other very very much and are suuuper married.

Surnames-wise.. I think Sakura takes the Yamanaka name. Ino keeps her as clan head. Gaara doesn't actually *have* a family surname. Rock Lee would take Haruno, but since Sakura doesn't keep it.. He'd take Yamanaka, too, since he's technically married to one now (Yamanaka Sakura!), but in the end, he stays with his own. What is it, you ask? Hatake, of course! Hatake Rock Lee. So Gaara copies Sakura and takes Lee's surname. Hatake Gaara!!! Kids are Hatake Shinki, Hatake Metal Lee, and Yamanaka Inojin.

Brief Description:

Aiko has long, dark brown hair and wears it in a twin tail style. She has blue eyes.

She is the youngest child of Chihiro Osaka and Neji Hyuga, as well as their only daughter. Inheriting the Osaka Clan's shapeshifting abilities, she has been recognized as Chihiro's heiress, and a future head of the Osaka Clan. Despite her natural abilities and talents, she feels a sense of pressure to do well for both her sake and the sakes of her parents.

Aiko enjoys reading, especially non-fiction books. She has such a hunger for knowledge, and enjoys sharing her little fun facts with others (even when they are not necessarily wanted). Lately she has been reading anatomy texts, and is considering studying medical ninjutsu in the future. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and can be a bit too honest at times. A 1/4 Uzumaki and 1/2 Haruno Mix.... With Shadow Clones, Rasengan, Sage Mode from Jiraiya and Super Strength inherited from Tsunade (lol)

Judging by Boruto and Himawari, this kid wouldn't have the Uzumaki Stamina since neither of them appear to have high Chakra Reserves. Unfortunately it's too diluted since they are only 1/4 Uzumaki

Even ignoring Kurama's death (😭)

Naruto still wouldn't pass down anything from Kurama to his kids

Rasengan and Sage doesn't come from Naruto but rather Jiraiya

Strength and Byakugo Seal doesn't come from Sakura but rather Tsunade (and Mito)

There's no guarantee that they would've gotten Tsuna-er I mean Sakura's Healing Jutsu either (Sarada is terrible at it and she doesn't use it at all in the Manga)

I would like to point out that both Boruto and Himawari do have large charka reserves just not Naruto size since they weren't practically born with Kurama inside them constantly mix his own chakra with theirs. Boruto can make 4-5 shadow clones before becoming a genin when it needs Jonin level chakra.

As for Sarada you are right, but she did not inherit Sakura's chakra control as talent in medical jutsu is bad. Meaning her chakra enchanted strength will always be less then Sakura's and she will likely never get the seal which even Shizune in all her eyes never gotten.

So Sakura contributes almost nothing to her child and what she does give are downgraded from what she actually has.

As where Hinata has been confirmed to contributed a good deal of hers and Naruto's children talents.

No matter how you look at it Sakura is bringing down her children talent wise and most she can teach them medical jutsu and even then they need a decent talent in it which as shown isn't guaranteed to be inherited.

it's the same idea as before, where Orochi fucks up the Edo Tensei during the crush bc Tobira put his Hiraishin notes directly next to Edo Tensei and encoded tf outta that shit, and Orochi was just slightly more distracted than in canon.

except this time he uses a blood component to lessen chakra strain and the kunai he cuts himself with has Sasuke's blood on it.

so it ends up resurrecting a fair amount of Hatake (bc thats what you are orochi) and a few Uchiha. additionally, though none of them know it at the time, it also creates a beacon to call Hatake and Uchiha to that location, (a lot like Uzushio calls him home)

Izuna, Madara, Hikaku, Shisui, Kikiyo (Mada's aunt and spymaster), Kagome (Mada's younger sister), and Haruhi (Hikaku's grandchild), are the Uchiha that were brought back from Sasuke's blood.

Tobirama, Touka, Itama, Nawaki, Kawarama, Zaisha (butsuma's elder cousin imprisoned for cannibalism), Keigo (Akimichi grillmaster), Yoruichi (Nara assassin/spy), Kyouya (straight-up Hatake brawler, Sakumo's cousin), Tsurara (yuki defector and rogue), Mizuiro (Nara spymaster-in-training, Shikaku's uncle), Ozakura (Hatake hunter Zaisha's friend/cousin), Ise (Shiranui iryo-nin), Kurao and Okuro (Hatake's infamous plague and pestilence twins), Takami (Yamanaka kenjutsu master), Renji (Uzumaki tattoo artist), and Rukia (branch Hyuuga half-sister of Hiashi/Hizashi's father Byakuya) are the ones with Hatake blood who are resurrected.

That's 18 Hatake and 7 Uchiha. you'll notice that the Hatake blood will always add a slightly manic edge to a clan's previously established traits, with an emphasis on extremes. a Hatake's morals only apply to their pack.

Character decelopment

Ino fighting alongside eChoji and seeing how powerful he can really be, while also using Akamichi-yamanaka techniques without the Nara inclusion. Choji still going butterfly mode and almost dying, but Ino fighting at his side and growing as a shinobi beside him.

Tenten and Kiba fighting The twins together. That was essentially a two vs One fight and Tenten could have been so useful. They could have still be close to losing and had Kankuro swoop in, but they’d get to both show off more of their skills and their last minute teamwork. Tenten could find new ideas for her weapon’s techniques and Kiba could see just how powerful a shinobi using weapon’s could be.

Hinata and Neji! Imagine Neji volunteering to fight his opponent and Hinata stepping forward to declare she will fight alongside him. Imagine Hinata listening to Neji’s complaints in the chunin exam’s and declaring that today she will protect him. She will not inly help him win, but make sure he goes home. Imagine Hinata taking a shot for Neji because she’s still learning but something she knows she can do is get between him and the attack. Actual on screen/manga bonding that begins a process of the two of them growing closer in shippuden.

Sakura fighting alongside Lee and maybe still being on the verge of losing so Gaara still comes in, but finding her own style. Sakura deciding to be a medical nin because she see’s how much Lee struggkes and fights and she wants to do more to help him (and others) than just fighting. She wants to be able to get them back on their feet in fighting shape. This fighting being her awakening moment of realizing just what she wants to do, and being the moment that pushes her to seek Tsunade for medical training. Imagine Kakashi running into them and checking in on sakura quickly before continuing on to locate Naruto and Sasuke.

Naruto Twin AU

Had a dream of a naruto twin au except for some reason the self insert naruto twin girl (kushinas hair and eyes, minato face, yk standard) had to go find a tokubetsu jonin or just a jonin for a class project

I'll call her Mikoto / Miko for now or something

So like class project, they're like 4 years old or 5, and it's one of those draw your family and talk about them scenarios and everyone's being mean about it to them bc kids are cruel

Obviously, being SI, she's already told Naruto and thought of a plan to get out of jail free but he wants to draw them despite it being an S class secret. So, of course, she indulges him. Dips out quietly as a mouse and politely asks at the shinobi desk for a Tokubetsu Jonin

By pure chance, one is literally there just going to get a mission. It's also one that, despite them being who they are, is rather neutral about them - we'll call him Haiiro. So he indulges her, "what do you need a tokubetsu for?"

Its serious, the way she looks at him (and adorable since she's a child trying to be serious), "I need a contract written up as a Promise." So he indulges her once more and she pockets the paper and holds her hand out to walk back to the classroom with him.

"We wanna draw our mama and papa-" she says having extracted The Promise, The Contract and Haiiro is internally like 'oh god' and she continues, "But it's a SECRET. SO, we need permission to DRAW THEM but not talk about them :)"

He is in. A situation. He technically accepted this as a mission. Even the shinobi desk ninja accepted it technically. (They didn't read what she wrote properly, she knows it)

So Miko owns that shit. Haiiro gets this feeling he's going to be... sought out more. He also needs to know HOW they know so he can tell the Hokage. But she's a kid so he can't just. Go shove her at a Yamanaka immediately. She looks him dead in the eye and says "so will you do it?"

Fuck it, he thinks, he'll do it, there'll be something funny about this. (Where the fuck is Hound, why isn't he watching her-)

So she slips back into class WITH this Jonin and the teacher is. Stunned. Confused. She thumbs ups naruto and he yells at her that, "Awesome IM DRAWING MAMA"

So she delegates herself to drawing Minato dutifully by looking out the window. If she draws him like a Shoujo man as only a 4 or 5 year old could that's even funnier.

Teacher is BAFFLED. Why is he here, when did the demons sister slip out. What is going on. Haiiro just says, "wait and see. Continue as normal."

So, teacher does. Kids are also curious but can't say anything because Teacher GLARES and gets things back on track. They start talking about their families. Ami gives a snide talk and side eyes Miko and Naruto during it. Sakura recites dutifully. Sasuke goes before them and extolls the virtues of his brother.

Then Miko and Naruto stand. "This is us," they point out, "and this is our parents." Haiiro is torn between laughing and crying. "We can't talk about them cause they're meant to be a secret so that's why I brought Mr Jonin here to let us do this-"

"Our mama was so cool, 'ttebayo!" Naruto says and starts talking about her hair and her face and that, "She was from UZU its so cool."

He wants to shut them up but he also. Doesn't. Bound by mission parameters, he'll claim. Fuck it, he's taking these kids home with him later, theyre SMART. He always wanted minions.

and oh no no what's she doing. She's pointing out the window then at her paper. "Yondaime. Thanks."

Class erupts into shouts. Lots of calls of liars. Naruto is beaming. Miko is smiling innocently, pocketing the paper.

Haiiro is so fucking dead. He laughs and laughs and laughs. He's filing adoption papers later.

I have been working, believing or not and I know that it has been a while since I uploaded anything. So here, I wanted to share not just how the HC for Reina are going but also some drawings, well...one that I feel secure to share. So here you got some HC of this new Reina. Waiting to hear what you all think about her!

Reina Aburame

Born: 1st August

Sign: Leo

Ages: The same as the main crew (Also it can be diverse in different AU)

Main ship: We don’t talk about this…yet because it hurts like hell. (I don't know with whom pair her really Shino, Muta, Zetsu, and OC, Kimimaro, Joribo, Ino I just don't know)

Chakra: Yang, Earth, Water

Techniques: Aburame techniques mixed with Uzumaki’s sealing techniques. Creating bugs who can hold different seal regarding the type of bug that they are they have an affinity or another. Plus, with her kikaichu she can do long distances sealing, (learns in Shippuden).

Background:

-Born on her parents’ way back to Konoha to introduce her to the clan members and to wait until she was three months old to introduce the hive on her. Once that was done, it would be the last time that she set foot there and her mother too.

-Daughter of Takeo Aburame, famously known for his insubordination towards the head clan after they do nothing about Tatsuma’s abduction into root. His pass glories long forgotten together with everything that he had ever done for the clan just for asking help to retrieve Tatsuma from Danzo’s side. Daughter of Hana Uzumaki, the pity of the clan; unable to control her chakra paths and the shadow of her twin brother Sen Uzumaki who managed to be the perfect example of finest shinobi.

-Spent her whole life wondering from one place to the other until their parents settled in Moon Island.

-Moon Island is known for its luxury and as the perfect destination for everyone with money and that doesn’t belong to the island. The island was once part of the Land oof Whirpools, but war and destruction brought the perfect opportunity for the Tsuki family to purchase land. And land did they gain, buying the whole island and proclaiming themselves as rulers of it and monarchs.

-The islanders suffered the consequence, native from the land of Whirpools, saw how their traditions started to disappear, how they started to have “designated areas” to live since other areas may be attractive for the tourism and therefore it should be available for them. This situation remained for ages and centuries until Shabadaba started the cup d’état.  It worked mostly because he appalled to the islander and their lack of resources and opportunities as the tourist. Of course, everything was fake, he wanted the big cake for himself.

-At that time, Reina was already far away from the land. She was seeking being a shinobi, however, she was in contact with her original three- people-squad. Chokako Akimichi and Shiori Nara, the three of them were secretly trained by Gen Yamanaka. The four of them rather young (Gen 25 a few years younger than Kakashi). Were descendants of non grata people for the head-clans. They were paying the price of their forefathers and the four of them wanted it over.

-Reina was the luckiest, since the head of the clan allowed her to look for a suitable village that may held her as their shinobi. Under one condition, if Konoha needed her, she would be there first and foremost for Konoha. She agreed, after all she wanted to be back there and safe her brother. She is sure, that the ANBU who helped her during the Chunin exams there was no other that her brother. She could feel it in her bugs.

-Chunin exams, her team enters as a non-affiliated village. However, the three of them kneeled and promised fidelity to Konoha as original dwellers of that land.

-Reina’s objective is to get into ROOT and find information about her brother, during the chunnin exams she also wishes to have a face-to-face with Shino, the future clan leader. The reason, humiliate Shibi as he did with her father. She is not aware that these men relationship only seems rivalry but each other help within the shadows. Shibi but allowing him having her and helping him getting his wish of a family without Danzo’s intervention. And Takeo gives useful intel in his travels, seems everyone perceives him as a retractor and a possible rioter they think they can trust him about peculiar intel about the upbrings that lesser clans have in other villages against their clan or the village itself. Feeding the village with useful information in secrecy while keeping his façade.

-Konoha is aware of Otagure trying to do something but not aware that they were plotting with Suna. The attack upon Konoha happens and the third Kage still dies but the events unfold a little bit differently since Konoha’s elite was aware of it, thanks to Takeo’s intel.
