This isn't going to be our standard advertisement, partially because I'm bored of reposting the same thing. Instead, I want to enlighten folks on what happens on our godspousing discord.

The Pros:

Since it's invite-only, our community feels comfortable enough to get advice about intimate topics regarding deities and spirits, such as love, dating, and bedroom funtimes.

We have our "off-topic" area for your daily life, memes, pet pics, music discussions. We don't solely discuss our dating lives; we work to build a community of friends!

Unless there's extreme drama, what happens on this discord generally stays there. We discourage gossip about other discords and foster mutual respect. If we see each other on other discord servers, there's an understanding that we don't "out" each other without permission!

As an "older" godspousing discord (coming up on 4 years soon!), we have the benefit of past knowledge. We've been through all the varieties of godspousing drama, and we have policies in place to help prevent those from happening again.

The Cons:

Since it's invite-only, we rely on members to invite other people. This other option is literally this kind of Tumblr advertisement. In order to join, you do have to answer me these questions three in a DM. We check for all the basic red and yellow flags -- appropriation, homophobia, racism, etc -- but also take note of things that might be a problem in the future.

When people get mad at our closed community, they tend to use that against us even if the closed aspect benefited them previously. If you've seen complaints and call out posts on Tumblr before, it's usually because someone did something stupid and got banned, so now they're trying to take us down. We've gotten called a cult, I've gotten called a narcissist (derogative), people have turned around to make their own discords to compete with us. There's nothing we can really do to prevent this other than reblog and counter, but sometimes it's not worth it.

We don't allow appropriation. Lilith is Jewish, you should be Jewish or converting to work with her. Celtic is a label of multiple different nations, not just Ireland. Western chakras are appropriated and disconnected from their original dharmic practices. We're really clear on not allowing appropriation, but that's like 50% of the reason people get banned and start blasting us on Tumblr, is because we don't allow them to steal. Is it a cult if the "forced upon" belief is "hey don't steal?"

Why Being Invite-Only is Necessary:

People lie to us to join, they hide their age, their name, their past history of appropriation. They hide their godspouse or spirit partner's names and then get shocked pikachu when we're not okay with ghosts of dead murderers being around. Can you imagine how much worse it would be if our community was publicly accessible?

We aren't a zoo. Every few years, we prune our lurkers who don't reply to an activity check (after months of being warned and direct messages about it) so we know exactly how many people are around. We don't have hundreds of non-active members sipping tea and watching us confess fears and worries about our intimate lives. We don't allow people who are casually interested to join, only people who are seriously wanting to start godspousing. We don't allow researchers, we don't allow people who have only just heard of godspousing and found our post.

The community is mostly self-moderating, but on the occasions that we have problem members, the workload goes from 10% to 110%. We've had people say they're married to spirit "X" and then spirit X turns out to literally be a serial killer. We've had people who claim to be indigenous and Jewish and practice Shinto (all things we don't challenge directly, as it could be true) but then step on their own feet and admit they're not Jewish at all, they were just thinking about converting, they went to a Shinto shrine and a powwow once, so it's okay. We've had people who blamed a specific god for COVID and said it was actually a good thing. We've had people have a villainous Pop Culture partner, which is fine, but then they started posting on tumblr about how genocide is good actually. And these aren't even touching on the casual TERFs, racists, and p*dos that worm their way in without anyone noticing. These were people who were actively invited. A public server would be a billion times worse.

So, at the end of it, just go check out our regular advertisement and see if you want to join.

Maybe we have a lot of rules. Maybe we seem very wordy in all the things we do or don't allow. But, damn y'all, it's for a reason. And the reason is to keep our server safe and healthy!

Take it with a big grain of salt...

I had this dream two weeks ago. I didn't post it because I wasn't sure if it could be true or not but the energy of the dream seemed too real to me. I discussed it with some of my friends and I decided to wait for a few days and if I get some signs I might post it to warn people what might be coming next. People who have followed me from the beginning know I have always said that this PR would not go down to a fake engagement but I think it might be coming.

The dream:

"I saw myself and a few Tumblr friends preparing some gifts for Chris. I saw my friends going to Chris' house to deliver them to him. Megan is standing in front of the house and the house is locked and my friends were informed no one was allowed to meet Chris. Megan took the gifts with the promise that the gifts would be delivered to him. Megan then handed them a wedding invitation for Chris and Alba. It was made of clear glass and the wording was etched on it. The etched wording was painted in red color. My friends returned with great disappointment. I believed the wedding was happening since the wording was etched. Most of the fans left since almost everyone believed it was real. A few fans stayed and we kept watching Chris' house. Although the house was locked but we somehow got photos that Chris and Alba were staying separately and they had no contact. It seemed odd to us why they were staying separately in the house and were not allowed to talk and be in contact although they were getting married. We never saw them out of the house together. We saw all the wedding preparations for days. Oddly the preparations that we saw were happening in the air above the house. It seemed like an illusion but we believed it. This seemed to continue for three months and then the preparations stopped. After a few days the gate of Chris' house was opened, we were all allowed to see inside his house. He was alone. Alba was not there and we were surprised to find there was no sign that indicated she ever stayed there. The wedding did not happen.

Interpretation:

I discussed this dream with many friends. Some of my intuitive friends agree that the dream holds meaning and it is possible they might take this shitshow to the next level and it might include fake engagement.

A very good and wise friend thinks the dream could be symbolic and we might never get any kind of fake confirmation. She also thinks we are already in the end process since at the end rumors double down. The dream is symbolic and it represents the overall situation happening right now. Here's her interpretation:

"Two separate people. Alone, in different places. Megan is running the show. She's the one giving out the information (as she runs pr). Its telling a story to people, that they're a couple. That they're living their lives this way. Yet, they are separate and distinct. And he's going be with it, as he's hands off it all. Yet, people can see right through it. It may say one thing: "wedding! Couple in love 💕!" But people see right through it. They look at the pics of the pap walk, and go: these folks hate each other and he doesn't want to touch her?!🤦‍♀️ So, despite what the words may say, people see right thru it. All that work and preparation was like a puff of smoke. It was all fake. Then, it was done, and she was gone. Which she actually was, all along. Interesting. Maybe it's not literal?🤷‍♀️🤔 Maybe it is? Either way, it shows us what it's been like, all along, which is fascinating!!

The glass invitation shows people can see right through. They can figure out what is true and false. Glass can also be broken. It seems like a reality that has been created and it can be shattered easily."

My interpretation is we might be getting some kind of fake confirmation that they are getting married.

It could be any other thing but I personally think if People publishes an article saying they have sources confirming they are engaged, it will be a deal breaker for many people. Some fans would not believe it and still call it fake.

There will be many rumors about the wedding preparations but we might never get anything directly from Chris or Alba. The dreams and visions that I published a while ago, I had a dream where Chris said no to some kind of photoshoot. I think if he was asked about having photos, he declined. I think there will be no photographic or concrete proof of this fake wedding arrangement.

There will be a lot of trolling and most of the fans will either leave or become haters. Every rumor will probably involve info from "sources" and no direct proof. It will continue for three months June- August. In September they would get quiet and before October or mid of October, it will be wrapped up.

I needed a few signs if this dream could have some meaning or not. The first sign for me is Wild Bunch buying Portuguese movies and promoting them. There is no release date for Amelia's Children and if Wild Bunch has to promote their Portuguese movies, what other great way would be to promote a Portuguese actress using a PR relationship with a well-known American actor.

The second sign for me has been Justin's dad's deleted FB comment.

This situation is very similar to Elsa posting the Pumpkin photos before Chris did. In a similar way a team real blog was informed about Elsa's profile pics. What happened next? That thing was used by the articles to speculate Chris and Alba were dating. Elsa also deleted the pics. We spent days trying to understand what was the purpose of it and called it trolling. Alba's side trolls but sometimes not everything is a result of trolling but rather a carefully dropped breadcrumb that is used later to move this shitshow forward. Same thing happened with Chris' charity video. fans found out he was in PT. In both cases, articles used "fans' detective work" to publish articles about their relationship.

In this PR, social media and fans are used very cleverly to create a narrative and move it forward.

I hope I am wrong about my interpretation and way of thinking and I hope no such thing happens but I had decided to myself if I get signs I would put out a warning for everyone to prepare their minds for the worst thing to happen. Hey, so this might be a bit random, but I rewatched the first Fantastic Beasts movie recently and I completely forgot how much I loved it at the time. Then I discovered your blog and I was so happy to see that people still talked about the movies and newtina especially. I just think they had so much potential that wasn't really used in the movies and I that kind of inspired me to write a fic about them (I am a sucker for the 'character who breaks the law for the greater good'x'character who is the law' dynamic, you know, with tina investigating what newt was doing in ny). But I feel I am not as deep in the fandom as you are and I am kind of looking for inspiration atm so I have some questions which would help me to get a few starting points and if you could answer some of them I'd be very grateful <3 (if you don't want to, just ignore this, haha).

What is it you like the most about Newt?

Wow, hi! This is random but I completely love it, and thank you for dropping by! I'm so sorry it took me a while to answer this, but I wanted to think well on it and give a good, thought out answer. So here it is.

First of all, I'm so happy that you love them, too! I got into them because I watched the movies, and I can't stop now...they're just lovely and a nice break from the other dark enemies-to-lovers pairings I like, so it's sweet.

Secondly, I am new to this fandom, too, actually. If you're looking for people who've been in it longer and might know more about (for sure they know more about it than I do XD) I might point you in the direction of anyone I'm following or have reblogged. I get my stuff from them, so. C:

I completely agree! There was so much potential and I would have loved to see that story unfold...well, at least we know they got married in the end. Okay, like I said, I don't know so much about the fandom but I'll help how I can. Putting the answers under the cut because whoops, I wrote an essay hi.

What do I like most about Newt?

I like how gentle he is, and innocent. He didn't want to pick a side when it came to it, because as Dumbly says, Newt always just wants to do what's right. I loved seeing how he cared for his creatures, the attentiveness (and the idea that if that's how he treats his creatures, how's he gonna be with the woman he loves? Aka Tina) (Also I'm convinced that as much as he may have wanted to get the international travel ban lifted because he wanted to travel...despite that, I still think it's to a certain degree because he wanted to see her, to talk to her. If not that, look at his decision after Dumbly asked him to help. He initially refuses because he knows they'll lock him up in Azkaban if he breaks the rule, but as soon as he finds out that Tina is Paris, he drops everything and goes. (I'm no expect, but I'd accept this.)

What do I like most about Tina?

She seems very determined and brave. I love how no-nonsense she is! Like she literally just drags Newt halfway across New York because she's taking him into custody. I'm sorry, I don't know her or Newt so much because I still have yet to read the fic recs people have given me...that's my research haha.

What do you like about their relationship?

I love how she is the brave, maybe a little headstrong, confident who knows her ideals and will pursue what's right. and yet Newt's the awkward gremlin boy who's a little scared of her at first but then in love and basically ready to drop everything because of her. (This could be a completely wrong interpretation of them, I'm new to this fandom, as I've said before) But that's the idea I got. (Because I hc that yes, Newt actually wanted to get the international traveling ban lifted BECAUSE lol he wants to travel but wait, there's more. He also wanted to give Tina that copy of his book. I mean, sorry, look, the man in one moment flat out refused Dumbledore bc he'd get thrown in Azkaban if he broke his travel ban....but look, when he finds out that Tina is in Paris, you can't stop him.

How do you think each of them will grow in their relationship? How will Newt change? How will Tina change?

I can see Tina as softening towards creatures and to the idea that the world might be more wonderful than she imagines it to be. Like I see Newt as innocent and optimistic, and I feel like he'd be one to show her to smile more. As for him, I just love the idea of Tina helping him figure out practical things. How to go about looking for a lost Niffler without tearing New York apart in a way that makes the headlines; like she'd teach him to stop, think, plan things out. Maybe, that's a very loose guess of mine.

Any first kiss headcanons?

A first kiss? Not yet, haven't thought one yet, but! I believe it might have been @themysteriousphoenix or @keepmeinmind-01 who wrote this headcanon where Newt was talking to Jacob. Newt's in love, and he tells Jacob that he bowed to Tina bc apparently bowing is how a hippogriff (or some other magical creatures I can't remember) shows its respect for someone or something like that. Anyway, Jacob's like "Uhh okay, why is this good?" Newt's just really excited and tells him, "She bowed back." It's ridiculously cute, and I love it.

Okay, the last two questions about why Tina is an auror and Newt a Magizoologist, I left out because I'm not entirely sure haha and I think I'd need a little more thought, but yes, here is my ridiculously over complicated answer that took 5,000,001 years to write.

literally there are dudebros that r like Kim doesn't actually love him she's gonna con him she's actually evil etc and its soooo low-key misogynistic its like can't imagine a woman being nuanced in any way. but also its so obvious they complete each other

they've been like this for years, but they were usually silenced quickly before - recent events have sadly given them the excuse to double down on their heinous misogyny with less push back. these guys have been swearing for years that she was playing him - at the very least since S4 (and chuck's letter), but it began even more in earnest at, "maybe we get married," which for some reason made a whole host of them decide they hated her and she must be conning him, instead of understanding literally anything about the context of that scene. as if getting married didn't cause their bond to blossom even further. it's like they refuse to believe women are anything other than conniving harpies. :|

i was telling a friend about this, but it's legitimately horrifying to me that they're also rushing to unrestrained glee at not only the thought of her being violently murdered now (too bad for them, i fully believe this isn't going to happen), and additionally wishing cartel s*x slave/assault on her, as if this show would ever do such a thing, there's not even a TRACE of that threat in this narrative and they're foaming at the mouth wishing it on her as "punishment," as if she 1. pulled the trigger herself (she very much did not), or 2. as if that's a perfectly reasonable thing to hope a woman has to endure to bring her low in ANY circumstance. it's disgusting and it speaks to the way their minds work and how little they value women generally, tbh at a certain point that level of misogyny is so sick that it ripples far beyond fiction. they live like this? they see the world like this? despicable. i had to completely tap out of the subreddit because the comments i was seeing were too upsetting. /rant

she is a complicated, nuanced, insular woman. she always has been. this show has been a masterclass in how to communicate things with stillness, or minute movements that accumulate to far more. they've trusted us to spend enough time with her that we empathize and understand who she is as a person. she keeps herself tightly contained, so we see her measuring moments, being cautious with circumstances, but then when she lets that break open, we also see the complexity of her intellect, her emotions, and her fierce belief system - a system which includes jimmy. her moral compass being something that shifts seems to confuse some of them into thinking it means she's ~wicked~ rather than realizing WHY that shift has taken place. even her devotion to justice - it's very much something she uses to frame her world, but her sense of it changes as time goes on, and she experiences more, and gets more angry and frustrated at the broken aspects of the system. kim "breaking bad" is fueled by a sense of injustice mixed with hubris mixed with an almost fanciful quality. jimmy is capricious, but with kim to me it's almost like she's rational to the point of tipping into sophistry. she wanted to be atticus finch. she wants to improve the world, she wants people who aren't afforded fairness, who aren't heard, to be treated better, and if this means she has to make some sneaky moves and damage a few reputations and defy these men with privilege and power who keep the system unbalanced, doesn't she have the right to do it? we know it's illogical and ultimately even immoral, but she kept thinking the ends justified the means. after all, if they get the settlement faster, that means she can do good with it, right? they never foresaw it being blood money, which of course ruins everything. the hand of fate here isn't like...it's not coming down on the side of who is Good and who is Evil, which is why i wrote the post about EVERYONE in the entire story being to blame for this falling out the way it did. the repercussions are a reminder that even when we desperately want to, we can't take justice into our own hands.

the very quick turn to buy into howard's, "you're soulless, you're sociopaths" rant is an utter lack of nuance or understanding - they've been lying in wait for the chance to tear kim apart and they believe this handed it to them, and i do not in any way blame schauz or the rest of the writers' room for it, any more than i blame them for the way a much too large percentage of this same audience reacted to skyler back in the day. that damning judgment is not the intent of the storytelling imho, but the rot of the misogyny takes hold. we know that it isn't true. she isn't "evil." she hasn't been "psychopathic from the beginning" (lmao what? they're wholesale rewriting canon now, along with "howard never did anything wrong." he definitely did a number of things wrong, and acknowledging that isn't saying that what happened to him was justified). we have these small glimpses of her life and upbringing - an unreliable mother, an unstable home, her desire to achieve and accomplish things, her reaching for more - we know precisely why she and jimmy connect, and why their experiences of the world end up informing one another. we know why she defends him so fiercely. we know how deeply she loves him, and he her (but notice they don't question his love for her). i feel as though a lot of the comments convinced she's somehow playing a long con on him don't understand what this form of love and intimacy look like? it isn't spelled out for us in simple terms, it exists in their actions, gestures, even subtextually, but there's a startling, lovely realism about it that i personally find gorgeous and refreshing to watch, because we rarely see relationships depicted in this way. i don't know what more they needed than the beginning and end of bad choice road, which in and of itself speaks more volumes than some fictional couples ever do. it's such a genuine connection and it has always been portrayed that way.

they are very intentionally two parts of a whole. (whatever our souls are made of! i will keep saying it!) like you said, it's obvious they complete each other, they have from the start. where that eventually ends is difficult to say - violent delights or lovers meeting - but this has absolutely been a story about how these two people are united, and restorative and destructive, in one another.

River's thoughts after re-reading Neverseen

NEW! FAVORITE! BOOOOK!!! Neverseen gets all the stars!!! I loved this one so much! There was so much going on and I loved every minute of it! Honestly, there is so little of this book that I'd change if I was writing the series that like I don't even know what to do with myself.

Oh wait I'm making a list of my thoughts.

Dex is irrelevant mostly ig. Poor Dex. At least he's got some things to do and some involvement. He's hanging out with Keefe??? Okay the Dex and Keefe friendship was so much more in depth than I remembered I need to have them interact more when I write fics. Like, I'm willing to bet they grew apart over the following books, but in Neverseen, they're just. So. Friendship??? Like 10/10 I love this for them.

THE REASON I SHIP SOKEEFE IS THIA BOOK. THIS BOOK IS WHERE KEEFE BECOMES MORE OF A MAIN CHARACTER THAN FITZ, MORE OF A MAIN CHARACTER THAN DEX, TAM, LINh, ALL OF THEM. THIS IS THE BOOK WHERE THEY HOLD EACH OTHER'S HANDS AND TELL EACH OTHER IT WILL BE OKAY AND WATCH EACH OTHER'S BACKS AND IM IN LOVE WITH THESE TWO

Exilium was so much more jarringly horrible. Like people actually said "let's put all the untouchables, the social pariahs, the unworthy, the useless, the bad, all in a prison camp, and make them fight for individualistic survival." How dense can you get? No matter how much budget this prison camp gets, it's core fundamentals aren't gonna change. The unworthy and broken will always go there, and they will fight for themselves, and themselves alone.

Like Tam and Linh weren't allowed to help or talk to each other during the day for years they've gotta have sign language figured out

LINH WAS FORCED TO PRACTICALLY WATERBOARD HERSELF FOR A GOOD GRADE???? WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT ALL THE TRAUMA THIS GIRL HAS GONE THROUGH?!

Imagine how overwhelmed and horrible it would be to get your face shoved in a bucket of water for 45 minutes when it's literally screaming bloody murder at you.

Also shouldn't Sophie be dead if she held her breath for 45 minutes?! Just saying.

I found the Linh/Fitz ship basis. And it turns out Fitz literally just wants to be stepped on by a powerful, beautiful woman. So does Dex. They want a powerful woman to step on them. They're complete simps and I mean that in the most positive way, when they get married they will ADORE their wives, oh my stars.

Speaking of Fitz. This kid. Has so many issues. Holy frick. This entire book is high-key a red flag for Fitz and his like, general emotional state. He says so many things that are just kind of wrong enough to sound like accurate cover ups for deeper issues. There are so many little scenes where it's implied his family is different than what it looks like on the surface.

He's the perfect golden child and the facade is starting to melt and you just find a kid who needs approval and has to put everything about himself on hold just to get it.

Calla is so old.

Forkle you need to understand that if you let kids into your terrorist organization then you need to stop trying to keep them out of the stuff they need to be involved in. The children are already involved, asshat. Stop saying they're not. They're knees deep in the problems you created. You can't pull them out now.

Speaking of, the Black Swan did a complete 180 on their treatment of Sophie. One of the things that was particularly jarring about Everblaze was the lengths it went to in order to dehumanize Sophie in every way. She was a weapon, a creation, a science experiment, and a freak. Very, very, very few adults actually treated her like an actual person. So this book, when Forkle writes his name down as her family, tells her he cares about her, all that stuff, it hits wrong. Everyone spent so much time dehumanizing Sophie that trying to treat her like a person almost makes it seem like they're lying to her, nearly constantly, about who she is to them.

Also, controversial opinion, give Sophie complete control over her own mind. Give her all her memories back. Don't leave her brain like swiss cheese. She deserves to possess herself, at the very least.

Fitz getting stabbed by a bug should be talked about more

Also the council was from a straight up dystopia this book, gotta vibe.

Keefe distracting King Dimitar heck yeah I love that kid-- also that whole thing oozed self destruction I think we need to get Keefe some therapy ASAP, much of this could have been avoided

The gnomes were like, such a background concern about this because all the emotion in this book was tied up with Gisela, Keefe, Sophie, Fitz, and Tam and Linh. There was none left for the gnomes. And we learned so little about Calla that even HER death didn't make me have feelings as much as the scene where Keefe and Sophie have a window sleepover.

I forgot people thought Fintan died with Kenric

The Alvar betrayal didn't give me anything but confirmation that Alvar might be double crossing the Neverseen with the Black Swan and that Alden might still be Neverseen

Ooh also new idea for the head Neverseen person we'd never see coming: Kenric. Fintan made it out of the flames, another Neverseen member could have, too. Just saying.

Keefe Sencen actually had a rather emotionally mature reaction to grief. And to the trauma. He just kind of felt things, converted it into a desire to do SOMETHING, and then got mad when people prevented him from doing things. Like? That's pretty mature? Fitz practically threw temper tantrums and punched holes in walls. Grady and Edaline self isolated. Alden absolutely crumbled. And Keefe turned his emotions into actions. Good actions, too, if a little reckless.

Speaking of. Keefe's sneaking into the Neverseen plan was better thought out, better executed, and smarter than anything the black swan had implemented up to that point. The only person he endangered was himself, the only one accountable was him, the only person who needed to do anything was him. And he put himself in a VERY advantageous place. Sure, he hurt some people. But this is war. It's not something you can put too much weight on what other people you emotionally hurt with. You need to think critically, and every second you waste not doing something is a second your enemy could be doing something. Keefe Sencen is not and will never be Neverseen. But his plan was smart, well executed, and did what it needed to.

Grady only calls Keefe "that boy" after he goes to the Neverseen. Which means that Grady really loved that kid and got hurt by him leaving. Or he is combining Brant and Keefe together in his head, along with his daughters.

Can we please just trust the Empath with one thing?

i have a real soft spot for talii and i always have... she was like. the first parousia character but also CHARLIEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!! i know i never talk about my core group of ocs on here but CHARLIE !!!! she is my everything she's my favorite character ever i love her so much. my lameass mallrat teenager who sucks at her job so so bad and is existentially aware of her existence as a character. i really just like losergirls is the moral here.

4. A character you rarely talk about?

again my entire core oc group... i feel weird talking about them unless i have their entire story and character locked down 100% but WHO CARES. they're a roving group trying to stop a growing phenomena (the fallow) that's spreading across the plains and might bring about the apocalypse. and it takes place post-post apocalypse in the ruins of another great society and is super linked to their terrain and travel (I HEART THE PLAINS AND MOUNTAINS!!!). they're kind of cowboys kind of supernatural park rangers. a few of them are mailmen (charlie included here). there's a former child star magician who's trying to fill the void in his life by stopping the apocalypse and his devoted partner who is kind of married to him kind of not who's the worlds most sad gay mother in existence who's entire life is a tragedy and HER awful gay daughter who is genuinely horrible but really really really funny about it and then charlie and her stupid goofy ass mailmen group that also got dragged in. and it's about existentialism and determinism and parallel timelines and encroaching tragedy. my awesome guys.

welll in general i think im really good at balancing ensemble and character building. like all my ocs feel like real guys but also blend into an ensemble and play off each other very well which is hard to do. i always run into the same character types and tropes and relationships in my ocs and i literally dont care cuz its FUN !!! i think i do a fun job setting up drama

can you explain a little bit about what lyphuriaa is? is that the name of the story, or the setting? who exactly are lulu and vlad?

I didn't expect to write this post so soon, but thanks to you now here it is >>>>

Setting

Actually, it's the name for both! Lyphuriaa is the name of a former island-country that has been ravaged by a war, during which most of its native people, a sub-race of Devons and a culture known as Lyphurians, were killed.

The war was started by the Devons themselves, who noticed that the land gave its inhabitants many benefits such as increased power (that ultimately made them branch out as a whole sub-race). But before being wiped out, the Lyphurians managed to seal the land's properties and thus became useless for the Devons.

So, Lyphuriaa became a forbidden, ruined land and the few remaining Lyphurians scattered throughout the world, trying to fit in and avoid the Devon countries' assassins who were still after them. They'd marry Vampires or other rare Devons and try to live normally.

Backstory

Lulu is the result of one such marriage, but her tumultuous backstory will stay a mystery until it's revealed sometime during the actual story so let's just skip to when the story of Lyphuriaa (the current title for it) starts, and that's when she meets Vlad.

Vlad is a Vampire – for the sake of efficiency, let's just say the Vampires of this world are like regular humans but with increased lifespans, a few extra abilities, and who need to drink blood regularly; they're a regular race, no other vampire trope is in effect here (bites/eyes/sun etc). They're literally the sister race of Devons, since the very first Vampire and Devon were twins. So, Vlad is another character with a huge backstory and is probably my most complex one too, who will probably throw off a lot of people from his actions and way of thinking, but he's also my favorite!

Anyways back on track, when the story starts we have a young, amnesic Lulu who finds herself in a strange place. In front of her is an imprisoned Vlad, completely sealed, looking like an ice sculpture. There's a strange device placed there and as soon as Lulu touches it, there's a violent shock, Vlad's seals are broken, and the Liance bonds their souls forever.

The Liance could be its own post entirely, but to make it short, the Liance is a Devon practice that can link together two people (it doesn't have to be romantic; one must be a Devon but the other one can be either a Devon or a Vampire, since they're genetically close) and allows them to share their power, feel each other's physical feelings (pain, hunger, pleasure etc) and links their minds but also their lives – if one dies, so does the other. Not only that, but when they taste the feeling of belonging with the other, of being one, they can never get rid of the emptiness and incompleteness feelings if they separate. And needless to say, there's no way to undo the bond. It had so much inconveniences that it was toned-down later for more general use – if you want a more detailed post, just let me know!

So yes, someone set Vlad and Lulu up to be lianced with this ancient, forgotten Liance. From that point on, they'll have to learn how to deal with it and adapt to it together. Lulu who has amnesia, and Vlad who was imprisoned for over five decades, rediscover the world together, and will have to make painful choices to keep nurturing a healthy relationship. Once that's sorted out, though, and both Vlad and Lulu are over this period of individual reconstruction and adapting to life as Liancees, that's when the fun really begins – and it's also when my previous sketches are set in time.

Turns out, they really do have a lot of chemistry and are very compatible with each other, and that allows them to unleash the full potential of the Liance, creating Vladleen. That's not a ship name (not yet at this point, at least) but rather how other people in-universe refer to them, as they really do operate as one. Their story is only beginning, and of course will be the focus of Lyphuriaa!

You are getting worried over a lot of incorrect information. First, you are not married, you can file your own taxes and he can still claim you as dependent, but you will not be taxed at his rate. Second, you don't even have to file unless you make $12,500. Third, if you did have to file the 1099k is reported on a schedule c, not the other form you're looking at, that is for different 1099 forms. You need to calm down and get better information.

See that's the thing: I have no idea what is or isn't good information because this is 100% new to me (unemployed for the past 15 years and only earned W-2 income before that) and my attempts at looking it up for myself via the IRS are not working because they're not specific enough to answer my questions, only bring up more questions.

I do know that I can file separately and still be claimed as a dependent which would keep me in a lower tax bracket (presumably a don't touch my pennies tax bracket).

As far as I know I DO have to file because of the new tax reporting laws that go into effect for the 2022 tax period.

That's where the confusion is coming in. Last year's rules no longer apply and I've had different people come at me citing last year's rules.

Trying to look that up I get conflicting information, old info, or multiple sources that directly contradict each other. I'm finding like "If you work for someone else, didn't earn more than $12k-ish and get a W-2 you don't have to file but you might want to. Though you may have earned more than $400 and gotten a 1099." and that doesn't help, it just stops there.

A couple places I can find outdated info (like 2019) saying "You have to file if you earned $400 and got a 1099." with no information about whether or not you'll owe taxes on that, just that you must file.

Almost all of the "You don't have to file if you earned less than $12k" resources are talking about W-2 earnings, not 1099 earnings.

What I've been told directly by a tax person is that I do need to file because will be generated a 1099-K by eBay, and do need to fill out those itemization forms because they will drop my taxable income considerably, but won't owe income taxes because my gross individual income will be below $12k.

Which means I'd need to get the rest of this information ready because I'm at around $3k right now (well over the new $600 reporting threshold), looking to earn maybe another $2k through the rest of the year which wouldn't be enough to have to pay if I were getting a W-2 but I'm not getting a W-2, I'm getting a 1099-K.

AND all of that info is federal taxes only, not even starting on state taxes.

The literal most anxiety inducing thing for me is not knowing exactly and this is the kind of thing I don't want to assume I understand and be wrong.

It would help if the multiple sources I'm trying to draw good information from would all give the same answers.

The only person I haven't asked, yet, is a CPA and I can probably contact That Guy's CPA and get his input without too much hassle he's pretty chill.

But also, as stressful as this has been for me, very very, if it's true that I'm stressing over nothing right now and everything I'm worried about doesn't apply to me because my income is so low, better to get into the habit and routine of doing it right in case it does matter next year or the year after.

I think it's a mix of both. Some groups have genuine friendships with each other and some groups are simply coworkers. Both are fine. As long as they are mature about differences and treat each other with basic respect and decency (literally the bare minimum), then I don't see the issue at all. Being an idol is just a job after all. If they are able to form a genuine connection with a member or all of them, then that's great.

Do I think certain members are meant to be together? No. I don't think anyone is meant to be together tbh. The idea of fated partners and soulmates is cute, but I don't think exists. It works best in fiction. But I know some people's bonds and compatibilities are so strong that it can feel like they were fated and that's totally fine. It's sweet. Even my best friend and I joke about us being meant to be and being "married". And yes I do agree that some ships are definitely pushed more to the public to draw more attention. Some ships may be close, some ships may not be, and we'll never 100% know as we are not those people. If you want my own thoughts on WooSan and SeongJoong though, I do think they're actually close, just not in the way some delulus try to say lol. WooSan have a matching tattoo (it would be absolutely insane to have something permanent with a person you're not close to lmao) and SeongJoong have expressed deep care to each other several times. Even though astrology isn't everything, it's interesting how SeongJoong's synastry is so harmonious.

Yes most likely, I think kpop has often been targeted towards younger audiences. Especially now with so many young people debuting. The industry is saturated and very competitive, so maybe that's why a lot of songs lately are a bit generic and uninspiring. Its heavy use of TikTok I'm sure is just a way to promote and gain attention since it's one of the biggest social media platforms rn. I can't speak much for gidle as I don't follow them...I don't think it's self sabotage though, it just sounds like you are not vibing with their music anymore. Sounds like you are losing interest with kpop in general and that's ok.

Why do you want to wait for someone to ask you out? Why don't you pursue someone? Maybe it's you who has to make the move - don't wait for it. But only if you care that much lol. I don't think you have be very pretty and expressive to get a date, but looks can def play a part in attracting someone. You don't have to be the prettiest or the best in general really to get someone though.

I'm aro ace with no interest in pursuing romance, so it isn't a concern of mine at all. I'll throw together a few headcanons for sam and bucky:

sam would be the one who assures people that, despite bucky being able to do a mean mug, he's "all bark, no bite"

like in the show, they occasionally butt heads but they overall mesh together, oftentimes double-timing against villains

the first time sam's birthday rolls around after the events of tfatws, bucky is the one that goes all-out and extra, planning every little detail, to the point where it's joked that their relationship could be easily mistaken as being romantic with how bucky is committed to it. when sam finds out who was behind it all, he helps curate a party for bucky... but he definitely okay's for the cake to have a million candles on it, making it a fire hazard

bucky feels like he's found a true and committed friend in sam, and he does his best to show it at any possible time. the same with sam

yeah sure he was friends with steve too when he was alive and museums remind that, but in the present bucky doesn't shy away from reminding to the news cameras that captain america sam wilson is his work partner; his best friend

it's also helpful for each other that they're both veterans, and can relate, rely, and connect on a level that most others around them can't. for example, flashback dreams and mood swings

it becomes known across delacroix that "anyone who messes with the wilsons will have the winter soldier literally knocking at their door." but those who get to know him find out bucky's more the type to attend a cards and beers night rather than to a brawl

one day bucky overhears, probably from sam's oldest nephew, something about people "being invited to a cookout" and asks for more details because he thinks it's literal. bucky asks sam if they ever have any, recalling that one at the end of tfatws. sam denies the concept with a straight face: he tells that they aren't having any more cookouts, that the wilsons have never had cookouts and that one time was a special occasion

sam does this about other black culture things just to purposely mess with bucky

also, being that bucky hasn't been in the 21st century for long, he understandably has some questions: what slang is used now, what new foods to try, what is considered offensive now, news and technology

one of sam's nephews (or both of them) make a snapchat/tiktok that's catching bucky's "old man moments" when he thinks no one is watching

I know you aren't really invested in McLennon (neither am I) so I wanted to ask you why you think people are so hellbent on them being "soulmates" and the only men they ever truly loved.

Hi anon! I think it comes down to a few interconnected points about growing up queer and fandom in general:

Romantic tropes as we all know them are designed for heterosexual couples in media. Fanfiction and fan theories about John and Paul often have these tropes applied and/or held up as the Objective - the goal for any living being. Our views of love and sex are shaped by The Tropes and they don't suddenly scamper off when we're considering queer people (including ourselves!) We obviously grapple with the expectations and hopes that are immediately cast out when we realise we're queer, the obvious ones being like marriage. And not just before marriage equality happened, because even now we can't just stumble across a huge variety of representation of queer married life. We seek it out, but even then, we've still got buckets of engrained beliefs and biases to untangle and only a few measly examples of queer adulthood to look to.

The Happy Ending for John and Paul being that they realise they're soulmates, seek each other out, live together, fuck and have everything work out because everyone is suddenly happy and healthy is unrealistic. But it's clearly a fun idea to play with... but why is it fun? Why are we idealising this?

Soul Mates isn't just historically a trope for heterosexual people, of course, but it's the idea that you only need one person, and the rest don't matter and that one person can be your everything is quite... Hm. Idk, I could be very wrong about this, but my instinct is that queer people have grown up and often found themselves relying heavily on a limited few people that can understand them and who love and support them. My feeling is that as much as queer people love the found family dynamic, they also want to rely on one person the way the media tells them is ideal because they've been told all their lives that it is ideal AND because they've been so scared for so long they'd never find someone else who understood, loved and cared about them.

There's this sense of hanging on tightly to this ideal out of fear and need for security in a way that heterosexual couples think is cute and romantic and all because 'we just love each other and don't really need anyone else'. They forget, of course, they /do/ have literally everyone else. The world is designed for heterosexual people as the norm. These feelings get tangled up together and the result is this hand-wringing belief that love is about you and one other person. That romantic loves saves, because for the longest time, that was the only help we were ever going to get to attend to all our emotions and all aspects of our lives.

There's also this need for people to represent queer love in the Purest of ways possible. It's got to justify cheating and lying, so it's got to be an Important love. It's got to be True Love.

The way we play with the concept of a Lennon/McCartney romance does reflect the way we, as mostly women and queer people, have been taught to view sex and relationships. We have to be mindful of how we can often reduce these people into pining cartoons who need their other half otherwise they'll never be happy. What maybe influences these ideas further is that these guys really did love each other a whole lot, and did seem to hold beliefs about having a partner that could 'tick every box' (Paul's words). The melodrama of Lennon and McCartney through the 60s and 70s was cartoonish at times!! No wonder we talk about them the way we do! Look at our source material! Look at the way Straight Male writers write about their relationship! Even with the lens that these two men needed their wives to complete them - they're still waxing poetic about that Church Fete like they're about to post these passages on ao3.

The point to take away here is that: Queer people are allowed to love many people in their lives, queer people don't need one person to soothe their mental health issues, queer people can have lives that don't solely revolve around their significant other, a queer person's 'happy ending' doesn't have to always come down to sharing a bed with their soulmate, queer people can experience profound and deep relationships seperate from their significant other. There's no need to feel guilty about wanting these things for ourselves, just like there's no shame in wanting a big important romantic love.
