Kevin's bonus track from the Investigators is the best honestly. We learn: - He doesn't know what ice is - He's as much of a rambler especially when making metaphors as Cecil is - He's quite desperate to talk to/connect with Cecil just to have some company so much so he creates a signal jammer to communicate between worlds - He can't lie for more than a couple of seconds (going from oh dear what is that sound who knows to yeah that's my signal jammer in like 0.1 seconds) - He clearly has no idea about when certain things are inherently worse than others (seeing making a murderer feel bad for being a murderer as equal to committing murder, seeing causing Strex to disband and making Kevin lose his job as equal to what Strex was trying to do to NV) because he wants to 'see things from everyone's pov' so bad

I haven't reached the chapters with the Roger Pirates' backstory + Buggy talking about his relationship with Shanks yet, but I've gotten little spoilers here and there and I have some thoughts. This could be very obvious but I just connected the two dots lol.

It seems to be implied that Roger favored Shanks at least slightly more than Buggy and it didn't go unnoticed by him. Like, the fact that Shanks was the one holding the hat already says a lot. It seems like Roger had a lot of expectations for Shanks and his future. And this is also why Buggy was so disappointed in Shanks even temporarily abandoning his main ambitions and why he chose to not continue piracy alongside him. Anyway, that's not the main thing that I want to talk about.

There is this panel of someone asking Roger who he thinks is going to find the one piece to which he answers something like: my son, of course! And the other person mentions that he has no son.

I personally took this at face value and thought this was referring to Ace, and Roger's plan to have a son before dying who would follow his legacy and find his treasure and would also be someone who would be carrying the will of D. But maybe the whole thing with Rouge was a coincidence that happened after Roger disbanded his crew and left. Roger seemed to have loved babies, so maybe he just fell in love with Rouge and chose to have a child with for the sake of his own happiness before he died.

And here is something I noticed and it could be nothing or even a translation thing. But the few times that Roger mentions Ace he never refers to him as his son, but his child. He even chose two names and didn't seem to be favoring one outcome.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, what if this was never referring to Ace and was always about Shanks. Roger basically raised him and Buggy as his sons since they were babies...

If Buggy ends up being the first one who reaches the one piece, this will also end up being ironic.

Am I reaching or was I an idiot for thinking the other way around before asdfghj

Yes, I do at least have some basic stuff and some ideas!! I'll put it under a cut here for anyone interested :]

So, to start with, I'm going with the clans the game randomly generated as rival clans as the old now disbanded clans, which are as follows; WingClan(temper: wary), DashClan(temper: logical), PuddleClan(temper: wary), PrimClan(temper: mellow) and MidgeClan(temper: amiable). I don't have any specific lore for any of them or how they were yet, but it's nice to have the names at least lol.

For Crowstar(whistle), I like the idea that she was a mediator of PuddleClan. I think it suits her charming trait and having a background in mediating gives her the necessary people skills to band together a small group of previously vicious enemies.

The only family relations I've decided on are Dawnpelt and Minklake, who are littermates from DashClan, being only young apprentices when the clans disbanded.

Fadedtuft and Oakfox were both from PrimClan. They were clanmates, but they didn't really think much of one another until after the clans disbanded.

Goldpurr was a MidgeClan healer and Mousegrove was her apprentice! They have quite a frayed relationship, though, they don't really like eachother all too much.

Foxspeckle was a WingClan warrior. Most of her clanmates either died or took off, so she was forced to be on her own. She was the first cat Crowstar met after the disbanding.

As for why they started up a new clan, it moreso started with Crowwhistle slowly forming a small colony of cats to help eachother survive the harsh environment. The reason it turned into a new clan was because that was the culture they were used to and comfortable in, but mostly because it turned out Crowwhistle was actually able to receive visions from StarClan, a thing thought impossible until then. In a dream, she was first told to make a clan again - pick a camp and give out roles - and once she had done that, StarClan visited her again to grant her nine lives. I tried to imply most of this in the prologue moon, but I don't know how well it came across :')

Oh, and Pachirisu is literally just some guy. he has no reason to be here or any sad backstory he's just a lil guy

British dragon steals a couple of weird fish twins more at- yeah ok that jokes getting old.

SO ANYWAY! Here’s my contribution for mermay hjdkfg brain went big brrr on this one lol

Some basic lore info and backstory will be under the cut!

We’ll start with the backstory:

- Sun and Moon were found washed up ashore as lil bby fishies by a circus owner years ago and he rescued them. They stayed with him (not necessarily out of their own choice) and would do performances as part of the circus show.

- They were treated decently enough until the circus owner passed away, and the circus and all its assets were passed down to his son who was not so kind.

- His treatment of Sun and Moon would cause them to greatly distrust humans in the future. One day though he would be found dead, drowned under ‘mysterious circumstances’ in one of the tanks used for performances. Sun and Moon were in another tank however so there was little suspicion they had anything to do with it. (they did)

- The circus was disbanded, and all its assets were sold, including the celestial mer brothers who were bought by an exotics aquarium and put on display.

- At this point though, they had grown tired of being used as attractions. Life at the aquarium wasn’t too bad but they were treated more as animals than intelligent creatures and their distrust of humans had only grown since the incident with their last owner.

And this is where Bloo (my sona) comes in.

Being a non-human creature herself (fairy dragon) she could sense they were in distress and after having an encounter with them during a visit to the aquarium, decided to help them. That help coming in the form of breaking into the highly guarded exotics aquarium, stealing their highly valued sirens (she’s not one for planning ahead lol) and taking them home (and getting them some heckin therapy)

And now for the lore facts:

- They communicate with each other via telepathy (twin thing and all that) and while they can perfectly understand human speech, they can only speak a little of it themselves.

- Being mer/sirens they can sing, and they can sing very well. Moon’s singing can put you to sleep, while Sun’s singing can make you feel energized.

- As for what fish they are based on- i have no idea lol i mostly improvised xD but i did want to add in a mix of koi and shark themes! The ‘wings’ on their backs were inspired by flying fish. Since the robot versions can hook up to cables to ‘fly around’ the pizzaplex i figured the mer versions could have flying fish wings so they could fly and glide like flying fish do when they jump out of the water.

- Their pupils/irises disappeared as a result of neglect and poor care (they’re still there but faded) but they would slowly reappear again over time with enough care and attention (and no small amount of hugs and cuddles)

- After they are released back into the ocean, they’d still be pretty much like domesticated cats by this point though lol so they’d stick around Bloo alot by hanging around the shore near her home.

- They can form legs albeit temporarily, but doing so takes a lot of energy and so they very rarely do it. (Walking is a great struggle for them too so they’d rather crawl if the situation required them moving out of water)

That’s all for now! But i’m not done with it yet lol got more sketches in the works and will have them up and posted when i can. :3

Universal Harvester basically disbanded my book club lol.

i love master of reality and wolf in white van. i was really ambivalent on universal harvester. the first two work really well because they're intricate character studies, which is already something that darnielle excels at in his songwriting. they are real and visceral and compelling looks into someone's heart and soul. universal harvester did nothing for me because while the prose was still excellent it was at much more of an arm's-length distance from its characters. it suffered a lot for not staying with one character for any length of time and its ambiguous anticlimax didn't leave me thinking or asking questions so much as saying 'huh. okay then' and not thinking about it again. & i haven't read devil house yet

Bruhs it's time I finally talk about this

There was this thing in the 90s-2010s called "the false memory foundation" that formed bc some dude (not a psychologist/ANY MENTAL HEALTH BACKGROUND) SAd his daughter and his daughter started talking about it to family members and friends. That foundation was basically saying "if you have memories of childhood SA that's probably false memories."

And" Have you been to a therapist? Yeah? They manipulated you to have those." Or "have you been to a therapist? No? Then you must've got false memories somehow. Strange."

They claimed DID, the disorder she was diagnosed with, was fake and made up. That it was instead, false memory syndrome.

So yeah it disbanded in december 2019. So if you ever wondered why the DID community got so big (besides Anthony Padilla) in 2020, that's why.

Everyone can shut up saying it's a trend now, it never was (endos dni) it just was discriminated against and an entire community of abuse survivors got gaslit.

But you also shouldnt hate on endos. They're just... really ignorant on how you shouldn't want to make believe a disorder. Or if their tupla, that's a bit worse, bc they're wanting to play make believe AND using an entire religions practice in vain. But that being said,, I just want em to find a different community. They're just kids. Let him have some fun ig. This disorder can be fun. Sometimes. If I'm high. Lol. But They're mainly kids yall playing pretend LMAO (truly no hate).

But do I think they're doing it bc they think they'll "look cool"??? No, no one wants to be discriminated against. We DO fight ablism and the endos probably do too despite them not actually being multiple. They're just lonely kids, having friends in your head is a lot easier to cope than having no one :(.

Totally get why they do it, if I didn't have my DID I'd be dead 100x over by now. Sometimes bc of loneliness, which is why a lot of them want to have DID.

The problem never started with endos is what I'm saying.

Vigil Fluff

Vigil is so stiff in a relationship. The idea of domestic love lives are foreign to him, having been raised as a mafia heir.

But this won't stop him from loving you. He's just stiff.

He won't really tell you where he's going or what he's doing until you ask. He won't really be the one to initiate intimacy unless the moment calls for it or if you ask. All in all. He's definitely open, not clueless. He just doesn't know specifics.

All in all, a relationship with him requires a lot of communication and addressing your needs and instability, so you can overcome them together as a couple.

If not, then Vigil won't really notice until things get so bad he can't ignore it and it'll likely result in a disagreement.

Remember he's stiff, not uncaring. He doesn't know where to start even if he knows he can start. But he's not cold. He loves you for sure.

He's definitely open to change! Just tell him and he'll call you more often, he'll start initiating intimacy a lot more, however you like it. Your love language whatever it is, Vigil will instantly understand and apply it.

Heyy! Saw your post about hyuna, what is the lore with that guy? Besides obviously that he’s a criminal

Idk if this is a genuine question but I'm gonna answer it as such but tldr: I initially said that because people were comparing him to Dawn when him and Hyuna have known each other their entire careers and newer kpop fans don't know who Junhyung is so they are confused wondering how they know each other/calling him a rebound

But 1st Junhyung isn't a criminal, not excusing anything but he was never charged with anything he was a witness and bystander in the Molka situation (which a lot of people are confusing for Burning Sun because they happened around the same time but different situations). Basically Junhyung was friends with Jung Joon Yung (which a lot of people think IS Junhyung but no different guys) who was found to have a group chat spreading around illegal videos taken of men sleeping with women without their consent. Junhyung being friends with him was accused of being in the group chat, he denied it, then when the police got a warrant for his phone history it came out that he WASN'T in the infamous group chat HOWEVER! He was in a solo chat with JJY and was sent an illegal video of him sleeping with a girl. In the end he was a witness and bystander who didn't come forward with that information, which is bad of course.

I have mixed feelings about it because I was a fan of his for over a decade and was extremely disappointed in him. He admitted what he did was wrong and he should've come forward with it when it happened but yeah.... Its just a hard topic I hate him for it but at the same time idk complex feelings

Long post because I ended up writing more than I intended to... but hey 15ish years of history am I right?

Now the LORE with Hyuna and Junhyung is that they debuted around the same time in 4minute and Beast under the same company, Cube. He was featured in her solo debut song: Change. They also were paired together A LOT in Cube family performances because they had similar positions in their group (rappers). They basically became really good friends:

They were so close in a way you don't see kpop idols do now and days with the opposite sex and of course people began to ship them because it seemed like they were flirting.

Then Junhyung began dating Goo Hara and Hyuna joined a sub-unit called Troublemaker with his bandmate at the time, Hyunseung. They kinda cooled on their friendship in the public, probably out of respect for his girlfriend and not wanting to be shipped with his friend. And Hyuna played up a stage relationship with Hyunseung to the point people thought THEY were dating but tbh It was probably an image thing. (funny story Junhyung came up with the name troublemakers lol)

So nothing was seen about them for YEARS even after him and Hara broke up, until like 2016? After 4minute disbanded Hyuna went solo and stayed with Cube, which is a whole long other tangent. But they appeared on a show together called "Happy together". Junhyung hated going on talk/variety shows because he's incredibly shy but he did it for once and it was with Hyuna so it was kind of a big deal. They still appeared close as friends and Hyuna tried to make him feel more comfortable on camera.

Then Hyuna had a show called X19, which is kinda hard to find now and days, but it was a reality show to prepare for her new album. During it she had a meal with Junhyung where they talked openly and you got to see more of their friendship openly for the first time in ages. I mean if you watch that video of them eating I feel like you can tell he had feelings for her idk the way he looked at her... But in that chat they talked about the public pressure to be seen a certain way that is expected of them. For Hyuna it was being hyper sexual in her music and performances because that's what people expected of her. Junhyung says he wishes for her to stop doing what other people want and do what she wanted and that he hoped she could do something she enjoyed. Then she brings up the fact that he had promised to make a song for her (he is a writer, producer and composer) and he says "ah yeah it didn't turn out"

After this stretch of promo with them (they also attended a fashion show together) Junhyung and the remaining members of Beast would leave Cube ent and start their own company and change their name to Highlight. This would be the last we'd see of them together publicly until well... now

I'm sure I don't have to tell people about her and Dawn and their history but they started dating after Junhyung left Cube.

There's a lot more to the lore like other collabs they did, the songs they released that seemed to be about each other (mainly from his side) but that's probably just going into delulu land so I'll avoid that.

But yeah If you read this far thanks for listening to me ramble and try to explain 15ish years of lore as brief as possible.

Have you headcanons for Bonten Timeline?

They spent many years apart, but I want to believe that at some point Koko and Inupi will somehow meet again, mostly by chance and unintentionally, it's the destiny, the universe? whatever, that brings them together again. Depending on the situation, they try to let it go, but they can't pretend nothing happened, we know that it's enough one single time for Inupi to understand that Koko is not okay, so they'll probably try to make thins work. Mikey's death could be the start for an actual improvement

Dark impulses at some point starts to destroy Mikey, he's canonically too thin and generally unwell in Bonten. I believe at some point he became addict to various drugs, together with Sanzu that couldn't help but follow Mikey, remembering what happened in the original Timeline

Chifuyu at some point, partially because of Takemichi's informations from the future, and partially because he knew Kazutora was important for Baji, starts to visit Kazutora in juvie/prison. At first Kazutora is mortified and ashamed of himself, but he allows Chifuyu to visit him because he felt he owns him at least the possibility to tell him directly how much he hates him. But their dialogue goes differently. Chifuyu is still mad ad Kazutora, but he understands he was manipulated and he had his own problems even before the accident with Shinichiro. Chifuyu says he wants to try to understand him better since he was important for Baji. So that's how their friendship starts, with visits and exchange if letters. it was natural for Tora to help Fuyu with his shop once he get out of jail

Inupi and Draken bond over their lost (literally and metaphorically) loves and bikes. They open D&D mostly with Inupi's money; I guess that thanks to his role in BLACK DRAGON he had earned - not so legally, but still- a good amount of -mostly dirty- money. Since he wants have a fresh starts, he's happy to invest all those money in the shop. And it's thanks to Draken's tutor/father figure (the brothel manager) that they can have the permit to open the shop, since at the beginning they were both still minors (Idk if that's how it work bureaucracy in Japan, but listen, D&D was a thing in 2008 and they weren't of age yet in Japan, since at the time until 20 y/o people were minors lol)

Inupi and Draken try to follow Shinichiro's steps, so D&D became a safe place for kids that have nowhere to go, and they teach them the basics to fix motors, so these kids stay aways from the streets/troubles in general. It's also the unofficial headquarters for the formers Toman members, that stays more or less in touch even after the gang's disbanding

Senju is probably dead in this TL, and probably it's the reason why, even if they do not have a great relationship, Takeomi and Sanzu are both in Bonten, even if I believe their relationship is still difficult, but they got closer again to remember their sister

Koko sometimes checks on Inupi at D&D. When he's younger he tries to convince himself he's doing it for Inupi, but after a while he admits to himself he's doing it just because he misses him, he knows well that Inupi is okay even without him... he's even better without him, and this destroys him, even if he's glad that Inupi is living an honest and safe life

on the outside tho, Koko is as cunning as ever, the life he has in Bonten made him merciless, something he hates what he has become but there's no other way to live. He also uses drugs, mostly to work more, but he tries not to become addicted. His white hair is not bleached, it's just stress, and at some point he just accepts it and style it in a fancy way

Kakucho follows Mikey because he understands his pain for loosing Izana. Their pain is different, for Mikey it meant he lost the last of his siblings, even of they weren't actually related and they. didn't even know each other, but they could have been a family, the potential was there. For Kakucho, Izana was his family, his love, his everything

More time travel AU thoughts that were originally a reply to @softesttangerines' fantastic thoughts here. This was a reblog, but then I got carried away (like 700+ words of carried away), so I'm making it its own post to not break my mobile dashboard lol. Includes some stuff on teenage Shanks' mindset, current Benn's perspective on meeting teenage Shanks again, and a little bit of Mihawk's perspective on teenage Shanks + their relationship both past and current at the end.

I agreed with everything too hard and then ended up with a megapost. Oops.

Teenage Shanks’ mindset and misconceptions is something I’ve thought about a lot for this AU. Arguably too much. First off, his recklessness? He doesn’t have a fantastic value on his own wellbeing, and it’s still a bit different with his crew — he wouldn’t want to get hurt and leave them high-and-dry without a captain because it wouldn’t be fair to them, but he still doesn’t fully get that they’d be upset about it because they care about him, not just his title.

I think Benn in the original timeline eventually comes to understand this through some odd comments/implications/behaviors from Shanks, but it isn’t stated outright and takes a good while to hit. Plus, by the point Benn has a real inkling about it, Shanks has gotten with the program, so it never lines up to have a time where Benn would really intervene.

(Adding in a note here for me yelling into a pillow because yes that’s 1000% what I was going for with Benn meeting teenage Shanks again and I am Elated. “You might as well take his title” brb going to go cry a whole puddle at that.)

Current Benn? Absolutely yelling at his younger self about how obvious it is and how did he miss it?? (Actual answer: Shanks hadn’t told him a lot about his childhood yet, and he’s not a mind reader. He’s still upset about it, though.) Teenage Shanks is a conundrum of keeping people too close and too far away all at the same time. He loves his crew, but with how recent it’s been since the whole Oro Jackson disbanding and him basically being on his own… the kid has some funky abandonment issues of letting himself believe this crew really is going to last.

And this crew isn’t even his crew. Their captain is missing because he’s the one there now — what are they going to do if he doesn’t return? What’ll happen to him? (Benn’s definitive breaking point is Shanks finally hitting his limit of how much he can bottle up and asking what’ll happen with him if their Shanks can’t come back? Because to him, the answer is he’s not entirely sure but it certainly involves Shanks still staying with them, and to think Shanks doesn’t implicitly understand that is upsetting, and he’s fixing that, now.)

(That part is actually somewhat written, so I really want to post it soon now, haha.)

Fic plot side tangent: while they know it’s likely Devil Fruit shenanigans that caused the whole fiasco, they don’t know if it’s a swap of the two Shanks in the same timeline, a swap with a different timeline, or something else (ex: de-aging). The actual answer is that it effectively creates an alternate/split timeline, so there’s nothing to worry about, but there’s the concern that if they change things for Shanks too much, something will go Wrong.

Benn is by far the one to stick with that the most at first (maybe tied by Mihawk) and he does end up sticking with that to an extent — it works fine for major “plot points” so to speak. But interpersonal stuff? Once Benn starts realizing what he missed the first time around… yeah no, that’s getting fixed like you said. If doing that causes issues down the line, then so be it, but he can’t in good conscience let some of that go.

Mihawk’s bits keep getting cut short because I go on for so long about Benn’s perspective RIP. But yes 100% to all of that. Mihawk may not admit ever (or even fully to himself) that he had his own share of mishandlings in the past, but he’s at a point where there definitely is a hint of regret of how far away he held Shanks for so long, knowing what was to come now. (However, I like to equally think his slight moments of conceding are also out of the knowledge that Shanks wormed his way into his life once — he can definitely do it again in his own time, even better and quicker with some guidance.)

He does 100% think this Shanks is endearing, though — how could you not? At the same time, it definitely reaffirms his appreciation for his Shanks and who he grew into being once day.

(Also: wheezing over Shanks asking Benn for love advice to win over Mihawk. That man has really been put through it, haha.)

I saw a post on reddit awhile ago that said the arcs in the game are somewhat focused on one character, idk if this is true since i don't read every story but if it is, which characters have had completed arcs at this point? Sorry if this makes no sense lol

yeah that is true that most unit arcs have more focus on one character, not all of them do though (MMJ generally seems to be more balanced with the focus than everyone else). that said the character-focused unit arcs don't fully complete an arc for that character, just part of it. so they don't go stale after only a few events.

the first Leo/need arc was mostly focused on Shiho and her goal of going pro. At the end of Honami's first event, she gets scouted by STANDOUT, which then leads into the plot of the next few L/n events, culminating with Leo/need deciding to go pro together. their second arc doesn't seem to be focused too much on any one character, and is more focused on the idea of what their next steps to becoming pros are. at the time of writing they have one event in this arc left to go, but they did end up getting signed at the end of their last event.

as i said MMJ generally has a much more balanced focus. if anything you could argue that both arcs have more focus on Minori since she gets a lot of the most important events that have all the big steps in their journey, but the focus is still pretty evenly spread. at it's most basic, their first arc is "we're gonna be idols" and the second arc is "now we're getting somewhere".

VBS is a bit weird since they kinda have different plots between the subunits. Vivids started out being about Kohane coming into her own as a singer, as well as how An deals with all that. They're also the ones who introduced the plot with RADder, even before that became the main focus in 2nd arc. Meanwhile Toya and Akito dealt mainly with their own personal stuff in the first arc, and they interact with side characters more. Also both their events often involved the team becoming closer. Collectively there was an overarching plot about holding an event to surpass rad weekend, and they then held their first gig in their first arc ender. 2nd arc was An and RADder centric, I think you could probably work that out though. Again though, BAD DOGS was a little less focused on that than Vivids was.

The first WxS arc is Emu-centric, with her trying to uphold her grandfather's legacy in the park. it's teased briefly in the first two WxS events and then becomes very important in the last two events of their first arc. the second arc is more focused on the concept of the group having to disband in future, but Rui’s had a fair amount of focus in this arc, since it ties in well with his character arc (his 3rd event was entirely focused on the concept of the group disbanding, and the last few events have ended with him teasing something that connects to that plot).

The first N25 arc started off like it was going to be focused on Mafuyu, then from Secret Distance it shifted focus onto Mizuki (and Ena trying to help them) and there was literally two events after SD which focused on that, one of which was the arc ender. Second arc was very obviously centered on Mafuyu and her relationship with her mother I don't think this one needs explaining.

I Love the idea of noisy and annoying neighbors while someone is sick. For example, what I mean is like: let’s use Gojo and Megumi as an example —-

Gojo walking around his apartment holding an emotionally exhausted 8/9 year old Megumi (yes, he’s getting a little too big to be carried this way but he’s had a rough few days) who’s crying and exhausted and sick. His fevered fingers grasping onto Gojo (who lowered infinity so the kid could touch him, hoping that would help him sleep), his temperature over the whole day holding steady at an up-there temp, he can’t keep anything down, he’s sweaty and sticky and his head hurts and he’s barely gotten any sleep- Gojo managed to get the kid to down some children’s meds after a cool bath but for the past two hours, he clung to the white-haired man, crying (like the overly exhausted “I don’t feel well” type of crying kids do), asking for his sister, etc. the whole nine yards- so Gojo has been pacing, shushing him, trying to get him to sleep (the neighbors next door or upstairs or whatever have been fairly loud- throwing a party or something). So Gojo feels Megumi begin to relax against him, his cries dying down, his body going slack, his breathing evening out slowly (Gojo is like finally!) when the music from next door gets turned up or the song changes or something smacks against the wall loudly or people start yelling (drunkenly)- idk. So this of course pulls Megumi back into his fevered exhausted reality and he grasps again at Gojo’s shirt, crying all over again—— this goes on a few times or has been happening over the past two hours (the children’s meds should have started to kick in but if the kid doesn’t get some sleep, Gojo is pretty sure they won’t help much). So Gojo gets mad, he either lays the boy on the couch, uncurling his fingers from his shirt, explaining softly that he will be right back. Or he takes the kid with him because he’s only going next door or down the hall or downstairs or something. Basically Gojo decides to kill his neighbor, he bangs on their door and some drunken dude answers it and Gojo asks if he could speak to whoever lives there (the guy laughs slightly but yells behind him) and another person comes to the door, giving Gojo a weird look if he’s still holding the kid—— Megumi flinches and tightens his grip around Gojos neck who in turn tightens his grip across the kids back or shifts him to his other side). Anyway the dude comes to the door like “ohhhhh! You’re that dude! With the little dude!” Lol idk but basically Gojo tells him to turn the music off or call it a night or keep the music lowered because “his” kid is sick and every time he starts to drift, the music pulls him back. All in all, the guy is fairly nice about it and as Gojo is leaving, says to Gojo, “hey, I have a lot of respect for what you’re doing. It takes a real stand up guy to raise someone else’s kid. I didn’t have a dad so… I really respect everything you’re doing…” or something like that. Then Gojo goes back to his apartment, sits on the couch (the music gone as the guy disbanded the party) and falls asleep with Megumi pressed against him. Idk I just like the idea of a sick kid and loud obnoxious neighbors.

I also dig the idea of a couple, one person sick and the other gets mad at the neighbors and goes over to ask the same thing.

Or a meet-cute/ for example, Vash getting sick while Nai is away (he’s had to deal with the neighbors but Vash never really had too- he’s only seen glimpses of his “maybe attractive” neighbor and his younger brother and roommate) and so Vash is sick and trying to sleep and the next door neighbors are throwing a party. Nai keeps messaging him and telling him to go over there but Vash doesn’t like confrontation. So he lays there suffering for a few hours. His head is killing him, he has a fever and coughing, etc. eventually he starts to drift which thank God, because the meds should have hit him hours ago, and right as he relaxes, the music changes or someone yells. Vash starts coughing and gets mad so he throws the blankets off, pulls his red hoodie over his prosthetic and goes next door or downstairs or whatever. His blonde hair a mess, wearing joggers, he forgot his glasses, etc. He bangs on the door and Livio answers, slightly drunk like, “hey! It’s you! Wait, which one are you? Are you the nice one or the… the uh pointy knives one?”

Vash grits his teeth. If he felt better he’d either tell him he was Nai or neither, just to fuck with him but instead he groans, “can you just get your brother?”

Livio looks him up and down before nodding, turning his head slightly and yelling, “hey! Nico! Door!”

Vash winces as yelling doesn’t help with his headache. He hears several people murmur followed by a few people yelling “punisher!!!!!”

Wolfwood comes to the door, a beer in hand, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He pulls it from his lips, looking over Vash as Livio goes back inside, “You really don’t look great, Blondie.”

Vash mutters a thank you under his breath before coughing, the sound rough and hurting his throat. Wolfwood puts a hand on his shoulder to steady him (is that concern in his eyes?) and offers him his beer but Vash tsks and shakes his head. Basically after he finishes coughing he asks wolfwood to turn the music down and Wolfwood is like, “yeah. Sure, no problem, man.” Followed by a “you sure you’re good? I mean I don’t need you passing out in the hall or something…”

Vash either accepts the help or doesn’t. He goes back to his bed, sleeping finally as the party is over. The next morning Wolfwood either knocks on his door (or if they have class together, brings him a tea and a donut) as a way of an apology, asking him if he felt better and next time let him know if there was something he could do to help.

Yeah lol idk y’all- this was supposed to be two sentences but with examples, I got carried away.
