Ok thinking about the two fights (well when am I NOT thinking about it?) and it dawned on me that at some point during both fights guillermo is right behind him touching him (the choke hold in the first fight and when he's talking about faking his death to gtfo in the second)
Now we all know nandor doesn't allow guillermo to hug him but he doesn't tell him off for doing this
So that's got me wondering why and I came up with 2 theories
1 at first denying hugs was a means to not get too emotionally attached to him
it's a way for him to remind himself that guillermo at the end of the day will one day leave him (whether cuz he turned him or he died or whatever) plus he's just a familiar so don't get attached
But he HAS gotten attached (he called him his firend ffs) so why keep denying the hugs?
Well to me I think it's a way to reject his own feelings for him (by saying no to his hugs he's saying no to his desires to touch him and his feelings for him)
Cause in the end of a day a hug is a way to show affection in some way shape or form
BUT IN A FIGHT THAT'S OUT THE WINDOW
Touch during a fight is unavoidable SO he allows guillermo to get close to him
Cause to him since this is a fight getting close is fair game
He just so happen to like it
Or 2 he didn't want touch that he didn't plan for
Despite guillermo technically swinging first both times nandor planned and started both fights
Now both fights had a purpose other then nandor wanting guillermo to fuck him up (the first one was a test and the second was to get guillermo out of fighting a different vampire) but I'd be lying if I said he 100% take advantage of the situation
So maybe he doesn't like unplanned for touch and when the opportunity stuck he knew fighting guillermo means touching him
As for why he doesn't like unplanned touch idk
Maybe he feels like he need it earn it? Like without a fight touching guillermo is weird? Again idk
I mean it's either one of these or nandor simply prefers to be held from behind and if guillermo offered to hug for behind he'd allow it which would be FUCKING HILARIOUS
Like imagine how annoyed guillermo would be if this ENTIRE TIME he could have just hugged him from behind LMAO

Finished Silent Hill: The Short Message (completed the night it was released).
After the disaster that was Ascension, wasn't expecting anything from this at all. The way it starts didn't give me much confidence, either.
However, much to my surprise, it ended up being pretty solid. The more the story unfolds, the more I found myself engrossed and relating to it and its character(s). It was almost like playing PT and/or SM once again, which was fine by me. I can't say it was a game with the freshest ideas out there, but the topics they covered are very Silent Hill-ish (depression, suicide, bullying, supernatural, etc.), and each memo found kept me intrigued. The subtle build-up in the little details were nice touches as well.
It is not without faults, however. There are a few plot holes (although, to be fair, perhaps there are simply some details I missed that could explain them). I can't say I was a fan of the last two chase sequences, and it can get a little too "in-your-face". There's also the lack of puzzles, as there's only one that technically counts near the end. This all being said, I still enjoyed myself with this short game.
It was nice seeing Ito, Yamaoka, and a few other members who worked on the original games show up again, too. I could immediately tell by the music it was Yamaoka on the soundtrack, and it's nice seeing a monster done by Ito once again. Their work here (as usual) is fantastic.
This certainly did give me hope that a good/decent Silent Hill title can still be made. Definitely gonna hold out for Townfall and f when they come out.

MY THOUGHTS - HALLOWEEN EVENT: SPECTRAL SOIREE
[Spoilers for a Twisted Halloween: Spectral Soiree under the cut!!]
OKAY, SO...
I started playing TWST around February/March time this year, so I haven't been able to play the first Halloween event from last year. Though I'm missing context from what happened in the previous event, I still enjoyed playing through the story. There were some good moments during the story and really seemed like the stakes were high, but I can't help feel that the ending diminished that and left me feeling unsure. The ending twistune was super cute! It was nice seeing everyone come together and I did find the ending humorous, but also wished it had leaned into those high stakes more and have actual consequences for it?
I haven't seen many people posting about this event. I thought there'd be more posts about it since it's a new second part - I didn't realise until much later on that the EN server already had the event later last year. Why would they re-release it in August?? It's such a strange choice, but I've seen many people theorize they did it to prepare for the Masquerade event, which might be next (I will scream if it is i have been SO EXCITED to play this!!) and will hopefully happen either in September or October. We will have to wait and see...
Anyways,
Short story short, I liked the event. The never-ending Halloween concept was super cool and the ghost fights and possessions really upped the stakes, making for a really suspenseful and fun story. There were several memorable moments throughout, one of my favourites being when Leona and Ace were trying to get Floyd to not touch a possible dangerous artifact and Ace questioning Leona's entire party boat story afterwards. I really loved the group pairings in the spectral realm, it was so nice to see the different dynamics and interactions they had with one another. Riddle, Ruggie and Ortho's conversations about adventures and puzzles were so sweet!
Speaking of puzzles and escape rooms...
I can't help but feel a little bit pissed off at Lilia and Malleus for putting them through all this. But then again, they didn't know what was going down behind the scenes and weren't informed of the ghost fights, so they're not entirely in the wrong for that.
But they DID make it incredibly cryptic in the worst way possible, to the point where even the teachers were concerned. Students vanishing into thin air, appearing to be kidnapped, is not something that'll get taken lightly. Especially when Lilia was yelling outside Silver's dorm, seemingly getting kidnapped too. That really must've fucked him up, especially since no-one else heard him scream. I felt so sorry for him - he genuinely thought his father was in danger the entire time, only to find out he was helping Malleus host a grand party for the ghosts. Obviously I'm glad they ended up being okay but MAN that wasn't fair on him. Sebek as well - they both thought Lilia and Malleus were in peril and were so genuinely distraught over the whole situation, it made me pretty annoyed that they didn't think through Silver and Sebek's reaction to something like this.
On the one hand, it was the ghosts' fault for fighting and possessing students. On the other hand, Malleus and Lilia are also to blame for the setup of the 'prank'. And on the other other hand it was also technically the students' fault for fighting the ghosts in the first place, but when you're put into such a seemingly dangerous and unpredictable situation, you go straight into fight or flight mode. I don't blame them for reacting the way they did.
That aside, I also kinda wished that the event was actually that dangerous, that Lilia and Malleus really WERE possessed. Imagine if there was an actual boss fight. An actual enemy. Someone who genuinely DID want an eternal Halloween, and needed the mirror shards to create a mirror portal to the human realm and take over even more bodies of the living. A ghost uprising if you will.
Imagine the teachers and the few survivors having to fight off an entire army of possessed students with a genuine intent to harm.
Imagine Malleus and Lilia being genuine threats and holding the prefect and Grim captive while everyone is trying to fight back without overblotting.
...That might be a little overkill.
BUT.
It would've been interesting to see actual consequences arise from this. I can especially imagine the prefect being really affected by the Spectral Realm.
They're already in a world that's not their own, so being thrown into that world's literal afterlife would really mess them up - whether emotionally or maybe even physically. Maybe they get really sick once they get back, maybe they were (unknowingly?) on the verge of disappearing permanently. Maybe that's why they were so worried about joining Malleus and Lilia. Because they were scared of what could happen to them, Grim not really understanding that. I love that Ace was so concerned about them both, he really is a great friend and I kinda wished these concerns were brought up a bit more.
Anyways, if you've made it this far thank you for reading!!
Feel free to add on to this, I'd love to know your thoughts and opinions! ♡

Thought process for more of Chloé's backstory in Miraculous Justice:
Because of the Drama, this is where we can take some inspiration from Season 5!
Chloé as a teen was a bully to her classmates yadda yadda. Withouth Superhero stuff she's not spurred into redemption that way. Her saving grace is her wanting to be a lawyer and is interested in justice and fairness, but it doesn't keep her from being mean or leveraging the rules in her favor.
Eventually Zoé shows up and everyone adores her. So on and so forth.
this leads to Andre seeing how awful Audrey is and how awful Chloé has become as a result, but refuses to take responsibility. So he divorces Audrey and gives her custody of Chloé, and tries to keep Zoé.
Chloé is of course upset by this and it hits how much she fucked up. It takes her a while to really learn 'that's fucked he's your dad he should've helped you instead of abandoned you' but it does kick her into gear on being a better person, getting a fresh start when Audrey dragged her away.
Chloé stayed in some contact with Sabrina, but blocked the rest of the class and changed the subject whenever Sabrina brought them up(eventually she stopped bringing them up.). They drifted a bit, but still send messages every once in a while.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Audrey ignored Chloé most of the time. Doing the bare minimum of letting her live in the fancy apartment and insulting her every time they were in the same room(Audrey was out a lot, and Chloé either hid in her room or left when she was home).
She quickly learned how to be self-sufficient, and began funneling any of her parents' money she could still touch into her own account. Day she turns 18 Audrey kicks her out(finally remembered her birthday, huh?) and Chloé already has money to get herself a place and to put herself through college. She changes her last name too, not wanting to have any association with her parents(will take suggestions on that one).
After law school she moves back to Paris and gets dragged back into the Miracuclass Shenanigans.
Meanwhile! Zoé!
Zoé was not happy at Andre abandoning Chloé like that. And while Audrey's 'you can keep her' may mean this is /technically/ not legally a kidnapping, it's also not a place she wants to stay and Andre can't force her.
So like BWH, she calls her own dad. Mr. Lee helps her work out a situation where she can stay in Paris but in her own place away from Andre and certainly away from Audrey. Unfortunately they can't do anything to help Chloé, and ofc Chloé blocked her number too so she couldn't contact her.But they hope things work out.
Chloé is unaware that Zoé left(thinking that she stayed with Andre as her replacement), and the class are unaware of the circumstances regarding Chloé leaving (they know her parents divorced and she went with Audrey, but not Andre giving up rights. Zoé knows but didn't want to tell anyone personal info, just that the guy was toxic af and she didn't want to be around that.)
Ofc, cases that involve the hotel and cases that involve Zoé will come up!

Random Headcanons for: Strong
☢ He knows the milk of human kindness isn't literally milk. Not fully sure on what a metaphore is though.
☢ He never lies or tries to obscure the truth, and doesn't like people who do (Deacon watch out). He won't just go after someone for lying though, but he doesn't understand lies or why someone would use them, and if they do it repetitively he gets frustrated.
☢ His eyesight isn't great during the daytime. Like coursers, the FEV has created a mutation where some super mutants have better night vision and thus more light-sensitive eyes. It's more common in nightkin, but Strong has this trait. So he's always squinting and shielding his eyes to look at things during the daytime. Man needs a hat or some sunnies.
☢ His hearing and sense of smell are phenomenal though. He could zero in on a mole rat in a trash heap just as well as Dogmeat.
☢ Not very (technically) smart, but super observant. He's a hunter, so he's always watching and listening out for what's going on around him. He will often point out things others have missed but seem obvious to him. Physical and otherwise.
☢ Prefers melee weapons over big guns. If he runs out of bullets he's just going to start whacking things with a minigun. It'll kill his target, sure, but the poor gun won't be the same.
☢ Gift giving. Strong sees sharing resources as normal and right, but he still really appreciates if Sole, or anyone, gives him something useful. Especially if they made it themselves just for him. Though, he doesn't really know how to express gratitude outside of hunting food and making sure they stay alive in a fight. He figures that should be fair enough anyway.
☢ Is actually pretty chill with almost everyone living at Sanctuary. Either they leave him alone and that's fine, or they understand that he's different from them but not outright harmful and treat him well. He likes getting to watch these people banding together and working hard to get things done, showing that 'milk of human kindness' he's after. And he gets to be part of that with them. He'd stomp anything that tries to disturb that. And he does.
☢ He's almost always on guard duty in some fashion or hunting in the nearby areas. But he's not above helping out with other things when asked -like if the settlers need something big and heavy lifted and/or moved. Just don't ask him to do any jobs that require a gentle or precise touch.
☢ You know that thing when you grab your dogs front paws and do little hoppy steps to dance with them? He does that with Gracie. Very rarely, but everyone at Sanctuary's seen it at least once, usually at a party.
☢ Likes when Sole, or anyone, reads to him during downtime. They have to go slow and he's likely to ask questions that might seem dumb to anyone with less patience, but he's basically self-teaching himself and he does appreciate it. He can't really handle a book or read words very well. The only time his 'too much talking' complaint doesn't count; stories isn't talking.
☢ Rex once dragged George down to Sanctuary and forced got the residents to put on a play. Strong was enraptured like a child sitting too close to the TV. Didn't really get it all, but that's fine. He's just got even more questions to ask people now.
☢ He does sometimes remember things from his past, just small flashes, but he hates doing so, and will do his best to re-forget. He won't mention or talk about them. He doesn't want to. He is super mutant now. He is Strong.

Hello. Are you going to write your opinion on Tagatha?
I have no clue how old this ask is. Imma be so honest, I'm only now learning how this system works but YEAH SURE I'LL TALK ABOUT TAGATHA
haven't touched the books in a hot year or so but i remember some spirit waking up inside me and making a google slide so i have guidance, let's allow my brain to catch up as i read this.
Disclaimer, I think the book should have ended at 3. I think any further kinda rips away the happy ending those three had so my opinions are that of the first three books.
Now, I enjoy a good enemies to lovers as much as the next person but my _god_ did I not like it with Tagatha at all. They just never seemed to really get each other??? The constant bickering was never really cute to me and maybe I just need to reread it, but it always seemed like their romance was very surface deep.
They were both kids— teenagers basically at this point in the story both in societies that glorified one side and villianised the other, so their opinions and way of going about things reflected that. Honest to god? Great set up, didn't like the execution. I feel like it's because it never felt like Tedros was even meant to be a love interest in the first book.
Tedros had a lot of good traits to him in the first book (heck, mans became my favourite character when I started writing him because I found him and his story really interesting) but he just never felt like a person to me at that point. It never felt like this love story that made me want to ship them, it just... set the stage of everything really well.
He was there to be an obstacle, at least to me! One of the many things Sophie had been dreaming of her whole life but then couldn't have. From a technical stand-point, I could only imagine Tedros and Agatha being together to further add to Sophie's anomosity and jealousy and further show that the girls were in the right schools.
Agatha was a princess, in her Good School with her Prince who she would then marry and make her a Queen. Agatha was meant to be the best, both because she obviously was and to give a good subversion of tropes, and Tedros fit the bill.
And maybe that's the intention and if so, okay! but it never appealed to me as all.
Their original relationship felt a fair bit rushed as well. While confidence in a person does make them more attractive, does it really just erase all the previous history they had?
Like okay, if we're relying on Tedros just being a himbo and focusing more on the pretty face (something I despise mind you) alright, fine but Agatha? She also lets bygones be bygones, forgets all the valid arguments and the reasonable dislike she had for Tedros? Seriously?
Their dislikes of the other were valid! And even when they did good things or things that kinda went against what they thought, how would they be sure y'know? They never talked. Never had a moment where they sat down and just tried to understand each other and that was highkey the worse part of it all.
I always thought it'd be something nice to have the two learn from each other, or rather grow with the other because they both have very harsh views on the other gender— based on upbringing both harsh and limiting but they always just fell back into the habit of just assuming the worse of each other. And maybe I'm too aro for this and maybe the book is just a product of the time (I still didn't like it then though) but I never got the arguing like a married couple thing.
Why is that cute? Like yeah, sometimes spending time with one another can have you learning new potentially annoying things about each other that you dislike but my god, not a scrap of understanding out of either of them? I guess that's how you can tell they're young.
The worst part of their bickering as well is they never actually work through a good few of their issues! The plot (or the Storian, I suppose) just moves them along to the next thing so they have to work together and thank god they can manage that at least.
In the grander scheme of things, it just sucks for the both of them! They're kinda just nudged towards each other by fate and just stuck together because the Omniscient Magic Pen said they were meant to be and they just rushed into it.
So, that's my opinion on them. I like them both! But I just don't ship them. Honestly, I think they belong with other people. (Maybe prioritise some healing from past trauma and deconstruction of some core beliefs before yall jump into relationships but that's just me.)

fun fact hunter!dust is technically 12 percent a vampire fledgling cuz he intentionally took in some of crimsons essence to get stronger.
he's not even technically a fledgling because it's incomplete and his magic is actively pushing it back... well more like IT'S refusing to spread despite it's nature?
he regularly takes pills to revert it back when he feels it's creeping on his souls core. if he goes on without either stabbing crimson to subside the tiny bit of corrupted magic or doesn't regulate his magic he will lose his shit.
do NOT hide his pills. do not touch his stuff he will friking kill you.
also crimson can't influence him. well... they technically CAN but fuck that shit. it's MUCH MORE FUN to be hunted. it's so exciting!
they technically CAN just convert him by forcing some more of their blood down his throat but screw that! that's fucked up! they don't WANT a pawn! they don't WANT obedience. they want betrayal! a rival! an equal!
so while the concept of sire vampire is a thing(it's not a bite from the vamp. it's with the sired drinking the vampires blood) crimson just gives the vampire hierarchy the middle finger. (they're a pretty high rank too so not many people can actually judge them.)
"the fk you mean I get to continue the bloodline ya fukn perverts? I ain't turning him. I want a normal ass RIVAL that can actually be a fucking threat to my life unlike you pathetic weaklings. FUCK off!"
another reason the whole fledging thing isn't technically official is cuz like... crimson is ALSO retracting their influence that aspect. they don't want that. they wanna fight him fair. they don't WANT to be at an advantage OR give him strength or let him sap away from their essence. ALSO they hate the concept of siring in general. they may have been a pure blood buuuut yeah fuck these boomers.
so what if vampires go extinct one day? doesn't everyone? who careeessss!
h!dust doesn't feel any sun burns but it kinda itches after prolonged contact. he technically did this to kill them he knew he'd be turning into their kind but as long as it made him stronger? screw it!
he... didn't expect the progress to... stop?
there had never been a case like this.
he did get a small strength boost and a lil bit of sharper fangs but it's barely different.
he's pretty sure you're bloods can turn people almost INSTANTLY. so... like... is he immune? wtf is going on?
it does progress but it REVERTS whenever he's fighting crimson. or... killing them for them to regenerate...
it's also odd because it should have broken the spell if he killed them... but he still has it? probably because the thing never seems to die no matter what he tries. even silver bullets and shit doesn't get rid of them.
he's sorta stuck between being barely HALFWAY a fledgling and just his normal self.
it can change based on his mood though.
so like... if he actually loses his cool he might suddenly start sizzling in the sun.... XD then go back to normal when he calms down.
casually be angry at night and okay during day, problem solved???
crimson literally said fuk you to thousands of years of vampire tradition. let them just have their hunter rival dammit! they don't want other vampires. they're boring.

Is this angst? I am not sure but it's definitely more of a quiet and thoughtful chapter. Kind of interesting to see the parallels between their date last chapter and here, and what happened in the main timeline I wrote.
@scrambledmeggys
First Day, Previous Day, & Next Day.
Day 27: Stars
Rather than take the ferry home, Papyrus decided to take you through Waterfall instead. From what you'd seen on your way to the resort earlier, Waterfall was a quiet but pretty place, so you'd agreed.
You could tell Papyrus was in oddly high spirits ever since leaving the resort. In fact, he had a near permanent smug smile on his skull and kept looking at you in a way that you could only describe as infatuation. It was enough to make your heart flutter.
To top it all off, he had occasionally made flirty comments as you walked through Waterfall. The main issue was that they only served to fluster you further, leaving you with no way to respond.
When the precipitation picked up, Papyrus retrieved a red umbrella from a container with several and opened it up. You practically had to walk so you were touching each other in order to stay dry, but you didn't mind in the slightest. So, you linked your arm around his and leaned against his shoulder.
You were quite familiar with rain, but compared to the often chaotic storms on the surface, Waterfall was almost downright peaceful. Even when you had to travel through a downpour and avoid the really deep puddles so as to not get your shoes soaked, you couldn't help but revel in the sheer atmosphere this area created.
"The rain is nice down here," you murmured softly. "It's warm and there's no wind to damage your umbrella either. There's also no loud thunder or lightning which I guess is nice too."
Papyrus hummed and nuzzled the top of your head tenderly. "What Is Thunder And Lightning?" he asked.
"Lightning is like a streak of bright light that can start at the ground or from the clouds. I'm frankly not good with explaining technical stuff but it has to do with an area of high energy and low energy. When the energy builds up too much, it is released in a bolt of lightning, and the resulting heat from the lightning is what causes thunder."
You chuckled and shook your head. "My explanation can't come even close to the real thing. You'd really have to experience it to know what I mean, I guess."
"Sounds Crazy," Papyrus mused thoughtfully. "Sans Would Probably Get A Kick Out Of How That Works. He Is Really Into The Whole Science Stuff, Kind Of Like Alphys I Guess."
"I guess not to the point where he'd want to be the Royal Scientist though?"
He chuckled and shook his skull knowingly. "No, Too Much Responsibility For Him. Maybe He Used To Though, Back When We Were Kids At Least, I Am Not Sure What Changed His Mind. He Definitely Has The Talent For It Anyways."
"Fair enough, the amount of pressure she must go through on a daily basis isn't for everyone," you commented.
A few minutes later, Papyrus suddenly stopped at a small crevice in the rock that was barely wide enough to shimmy through. He stared at the passageway for a moment in a thoughtful sort of way and you couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking.
"Paps? Is something wrong?" you whispered and stepped slightly closer to him.
He didn't respond immediately and closed the umbrella instead, thankfully it was only sprinkling right now. "Do You Want To See Something Cool?" he asked and turned to you again. His eyelights flickered with what you assumed was excitement, so how could you say no to that?
You grinned, "Of course I do!"
"Follow Me Then." Papyrus gestured for you to come with and stepped into the crevice. He had to kind of crouch down to do so because he was so tall, which you knew couldn't be comfortable.
Nevertheless, you followed him as closely as you could. The passage wasn't very long and you both soon emerged into a much larger room.
This room was a bit darker than the previous one but there was plenty of glowing light sources to make up the difference. There were hundreds of the very same glowing blue flowers Papyrus had used to propose to you growing everywhere, along with other kinds of bioluminescent flora. To top it all off, the ceiling was dotted with tiny, twinkling crystals of varying colours, some of which, were arranged to vaguely resemble a few star constellations you recognized.
"Woah..." It was all you could say as words couldn't even begin to describe the sheer awe you felt right now. Slowly, you turned around and scanned the room, trying to memorize every little detail.
A soft click drew your attention back to Papyrus again. He'd apparently found your reaction rather adorable and decided to take a picture, but you couldn't be mad at him this time. Instead, you felt a little embarrassed and rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly.
"Sorry, I Could Not Resist, Precious," he whispered and put his phone away again.
You shook your head and chuckled. "No, it's fine." Changing the subject, you asked, "What is this place anyways?"
"This Is Called The Wishing Room. Monsters Used To Come Here To Make A Wish On The Crystals In The Ceiling Since We Cannot See The Real Sky Down Here." Papyrus sounded much more somber now as he glanced up at the crystals.
"Used to?"
He nodded slowly, "Yes, I Am Unsure How Many Monsters, If Any, Still Uphold The Tradition."
You frowned and looked up at the crystals yourself. It had been so long since you saw the real stars, yet you couldn't imagine going your whole life and never seeing them. It was ironic really. There were so many things you'd taken for granted back on the surface, and just being able to look up and see the stars was yet another thing to add to the increasingly long list.
"I Cannot Speak For Everyone, But I Am Tired Of Fighting, Rihanna. I Just Want To Have A Peaceful Life And Now That I Have You, I Want It More Then Ever..."
You wrapped your arms around his ribcage and hugged him. "I want that too..." you whispered.
Papyrus' hands found their way to your shoulders and he soon returned the hug. "Still, I Would Not Trade Having Met You For Freedom. You Mean Everything To Me And If I Have To Wait The Rest Of My Life To See The Real Stars, I Will Gladly Do So. As Long As You Are With Me, I Will Have The Strength To Get Through Each Day, Until We No Longer Need To Hide Anymore."
You stayed there for a little while, just holding each other. Eventually, your legs started to get tired though, so you both walked a little further into the room until you found a dry patch of grass to sit down in.
Besides the hundreds of large blossoms, there were even more smaller blue flowers that grew closer to the ground. They seemed to be the same variety so maybe they were just younger?
"What kind of flowers are these, Papyrus?" you asked.
He smiled and gently ran his phalanges through your hair before responding. "We Call Them Echo Flowers. As You Discovered Previously, They Repeat The Last Thing They Heard Until They Hear Something Different."
"That's so cool," you murmured. "We don't have anything like them on the surface..."
"I Would Think Not As They Are Quite Literally A Magical Plant," Papyrus chuckled.
You smiled and leaned up against him a bit more as he continued to play with your hair. If you didn't know better, you would accuse him of never touching someone else's hair before, but you held your tongue and chose to just enjoy the moment instead. He seemed particularly interested in the texture of your hair and how strong it was. Thankfully, he was being careful not to pull too hard and his gloves served to keep the individual strands from getting caught between his finger bones.
"We'll get out soon, I know it," you said, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between the both of you. "There's so many things I want to show you when we do..."
Papyrus hummed softly and wrapped his arms around you from behind. He also pressed a soft skeleton kiss to the top of your head before just resting his chin on you.
"I think my family would love to meet you too..."

honestly, you hate telling people your semblance
because they always want to know what their future is gonna be, but hate the outcome
you also feel that it is a serious matter to tell someone their future, because it's something that shouldn't be changed

initially, you didn't even want to tell jaune what your semblance was

you're not a fortune teller at some fair
after you started dating, you eventually caved and read into the future when he asked
but you had to disclose that you wouldn't be telling him what happens
which he agreed to, cause he just wanted to have the experience
you didn't want to break his trust in you either, because technically you knew pyrrha would die but didn't say anything to him
accidentally bumping heads during sparring let you know, but you knew that jaune would also die if he tried to stop her
so you kept it to yourself
and as you rested your forehead against his, you frowned at the rapid series of images you saw
penny dead yet again, oscar kidnapped, falling into the ever after and being alone for many years weren't the nicest things to tell someone
but you do tell him some of the nice things that happen
once he wanted to know if he'd ever get a glow up-
he's mindful not to rest his forehead against yours in a relationship actually
he doesn't want you to have to see future traumatic events every time he wanted to be more intimate with you
and he wants to make sure that you get to enjoy the present instead of dreading the future that is to come

What was Nikoletta like before she was the Nikoletta we know and love?
Oooh thank you!!
So I actually answered this pretty well here, at least in regards to her powers and all, but that's still the abridged version. For the full changelog, let's see... (fair warning, LONG ramble ahead)
What Stayed the Same:
Her name being Nikoletta Bordeaux
Her living in New Orleans
Her gaining her powers from STAR Labs
Her time in STAR Labs overlapping Abner's
Her powers isolating her, traumatizing her, and leaving her uncomfortable with both other people and herself
Her being known as the Queen of Belle Reve, holding a self-built position of power over the other prisoners
Her uneasy alliance with Waller, where she tolerates Nik operating outside the rules in exchange for getting rid of prisoners Waller doesn't want around
Her finding a connection with Abner, and that connection being built over the Corto Maltese mission
Her saving Abner from Starro (this was literally the first thing I decided, his death pissed me the fuck off, I hate when characters get nerfed right after finding happiness/closure)
What Changed:
Her name... sort of: While real name has always been Nikoletta Bordeaux, originally her hero name as Nyx Bastion was a lot more prominent as the name she goes by in Belle Reve and while out on missions (now, it's in her OC bio but I've never actually used it). In the end, I kinda tossed away "Nyx", and it turned into her nickname being Nik instead. I'm probably going to go remove Nyx Bastion from her OC bio too, now that I think about it, since I've literally never used it and don't really plan to at this point.
Her backstory: Originally, her family was French in origin - actual from-France French, not Louisiana French. She also was not a Woman of Color, mainly because at that point I was still a new writer and worried about accidentally offending someone by writing outside my own demographic. I honestly didn't decide much more of her backstory than that, which led to her feeling very flat and not having much dimension outside her persona in Belle Reve. I'm much, much prouder of her final backstory, and I think it gives her a lot of necessary background for how she was able to make her Queen of Belle Reve persona so successful
Her powers: Originally, her powers weren't shadow-based as much as they were nightmare-based. Any skin-to-skin contact or direct eye contact with someone would send them into a waking nightmare that eventually led them to a brain aneurysm. Some people were mysteriously immune to her abilities, with no apparent pattern at first, until it's discovered that all the survivors had experienced significant mental trauma in their lives and were able to encode Nikoletta's nightmare-illusions without growing overwhelmed. This included war vets, domestic abuse victims, and metahumans with significantly traumatic backstories.
How her powers interact with others: In the current version of her story, Nikoletta is hesitant to reach out to people because she knows her touch will leave a mark. The mark is technically harmless, but inevitable. Originally, her powers made it so the options were either near-certain death or complete immunity, so it was either to gamble or to shut herself down for safety. Once she learns the nature of the immunity and how it stems from surviving past traumas (which honestly makes most of the Squad immune to her bc damn they've been through some shit), she's able to make more of an educated guess and risk reaching out more, but I think think the inevitability of Nikoletta's final shadow-touch is what really drives her. I mean, if it's a gamble, eventually she'd get so touch-starved that she takes that risk, but if it's inevitable then there's no gaps to wriggle through.
Her appearance: And not just talking about the fact that first-draft Nikoletta was white. Originally, her nightmare-powers also caused an illusion over her appearance, where she appeared physically nightmarish or demonic to anyone who wasn't immune to her abilities. This isolated her even further, since direct eye contact was outright dangerous and even indirect glances were frightening.
Her reputation: Okay, her reputation itself didn't actually change much, I just couldn't think of a better way to work this. She still was the Queen of Belle Reve, but since her abilities were a lot more genuinely deadly, the fear she generated was completely real, and very hard to raise dissent against. Nikoletta's final shadow-powers aren't technically dangerous in any legitimate way, and it's all her skill at manipulating social situations that gives her the mystique and power to control Belle Reve. She built a lot more of it herself, when originally a lot more was handed to her thanks to her powers.
Her time in STAR Labs: Originally, she and Abner were in much closer proximity while in STAR Labs, and would talk through the vents to console each other through the experimentation. They had a close connection, though they never met face-to-face. They also escaped at the same time, rather than Nikoletta slipping away years before and not even realizing Abner's time lined up with hers until years later.
Her time in Corto Maltese: Not a whole lot changes her overall, though she doesn't go into La Gatita Amable like she does in the final story. Aside from that, she and Abner would have a heart-to-heart in the jungle where they talk about STAR Labs, and Nikoletta would pull down her sleeve to reveal a perfectly-circular burn scar, left by one of Abner's dots in the escape from STAR Labs. This leads to the two of them realizing they'd met years before, and "Nyx" (since she doesn't reveal her real name in Belle Reve, in the original version) is in fact Nikoletta, Abner's only real friend who talked to him through the vents. I do still like this backstory in theory, but I thought it made things a lot deeper and more impactful for her and Abner not to have any prior history.
Baron and Barbie: Yeah, she didn't have cats in the original version. They were a spur-of-the-moment add after I started writing for her, you had mentioned something about her getting a cat and I just thought it fit so well that I had to include it.
Thanks for the ask!! Out of all my OCs, I think Nikoletta's changed the most, and I actually remember all the changes she went through (unlike most of the others)

The Tale of Captain Michael,
Chapter 1 The Youngest
(Work in Progress)
A/N: This is a completely original story, only using characters which are Trademarked by the Disney Company. Everything falls under Public Domain and Fair Use.
.
Our story starts on a night not to abnormal, when one Walter Mouse paced in front of the door of the bedroom of which he and his wife shared, in normal circumstances. But tonight was not normal, for she was in the throes of labor, this was not his Lily Flowers first though, so that helped a bit to ease the tension he felt
He saw a flicker of a head peering around the corner, smiling he motioned for their eldest to come,
"It is alright, Ellie," he comforted as the child darted into his arms. "Momma will be just fine,"
The girl snuggled into him, feeling her nod
"I hate hearing Mommy in pain," he heard her sniffle and the father wrapped his arms around her,
"I know, mouselette, I don't like it either but after your Baby brother or sister is born, she won't be anymore, and remember you will have older sister duties as well"
His daughter looked determined at that,
"Yeah, I'm gonna be the bestest big sister!"
Smiling as he ruffled her hair,
their heads turning as a babies cry was heard loud and clear as a bell, both smiling at each other, the doctor after a moment came out, and Walt moved his daughter towards her room
"The doctor and I need to talk, sweetheart. I will come fetch you in a moment," The small girl nodded as he kissed her forehead,
"Okay Papa"
They watched her go down the steps, Walter trailing behind to make sure she did so, as soon as her rooms door shut, he went back, the Doctor having a solem look, gripping his bag in hand,
"It was touch and go for quite a bit, but they came through." He sighed in relief thank god for that," But she won't be having anymore I'm afraid to say, or else there's a likely chance she'd be lost the next time,"
His heart sunk, it didnt really matter to him, she was more important and they had 2, technically 4 due to his escapades as a teen but that still didn't mean he didn't realize how devastated his wife could be over this, they only had Elaine and now their other pup,
"Thank you, Doctor, may I?" He motioned towards the room and the other nodded, "Of course,"
He practically ran in as the midwife was still bustling around, cleaning things up, he laid eyes upon Lily who reached for him with weariness, but excitement shone bright in her eyes,
"Come Walter," her voice was soft he had barely heard her and concern even despite the doctors words went through him, but those were dispelled as she looked to the bassinet as he stepped close,
Following his wife's gaze a smile crept onto his face as he spotted the baby tucked fast asleep inside,
"Oh Pip, look at them," he murmured, sitting tenderly on the bed beside the cradle,
"Him" She croaked, he turned questioning,
"Him? We have a son?"as she returned the smile,
"Yes, my first and only, and your 3rd. Elaine really was the unique one," that made him snort a bit, face falling at the reminder there would be no others after this little boy, Lilliantaking note of her husbands crestfallen appearance"Hey sweetheart look at me,"
He felt her hand on his cheek turning his head to meet her eyes,
"It's okay that we can not have any more. Oswald and Julius may not be of me, however, that does not mean I do not see them as such. They are just as much my sons as they are yours,"
Walt felt so much love and gratefulness towards her, he leaned over placing a careful kiss to her forehead.
"What did I ever do to deserve you, my patient and loving wife,"
"You were your handsome charming self," She instantly quipped back, making him laugh as they looked back at the baby,
"I've always liked Mortimer as a name," he saw her face twist,
"No, that feels all wrong." He chuckled, thinking rubbing his chin after a moment he heard her murmur
"I've always liked Michael,"
Her husband cocked his head, trying it out
"Michael Elias, to carry on the tradition starting with my grandfather,"
Lillian bobbed her head, looking to the babe who was still fast asleep
"I think we have it, Michael Elias Mouse,"

Flos x Gabriel time baby!✨😇
Flos x Gabriel// HCs
(OC Crackship except I luv them to the point I would give them fluff and angst too/ih) Flos is my son while Gabriel is @klai-16xoxo's
____
Their ship will most likely be Flosbriel. Can be changed later if there is a better word/ih
They're these serious couple but few minutes later you find them acting so fluffy unexpected, like clouds--
Flos is often the very stern one, is technically his nature. Gabriel doesn't seem to mind that much because when it comes to cherishing Flos' everything, it means he'll cherish the trait that seems intimidating yet is the main part of him.
He slowly became aware that Flos is more careful and protective around the ones he cares, which are pretty few if excluding an entire nation in general. (Almost everything else outside Dyanthus can perish, he wouldn't bat an eye on them LIKE RHDDBDB- )
Flos is a fortunate to have Gabriel, just like Gabriel is as well... Flos had tougher times including an old love story that was far from loyalty and trust in a partner. So he feels quite grateful to have met someone like Gabriel...
As a single father for many years with lack in touch with romantic affairs- Flos may not be a pro at being  romantic, but he kinda does well unintentionally sometimes because man- he was raised to be a sincere gentleman besides being a silver-tongued stoic face. So that kinda makes up for it./ih
Idk- I keep imagining the fact that Flos would sometimes treat Gabriel so lovely that sometimes hus mind calls him "his wife".
'My wife must be cooking something- what is he cooking at these hour for.' *checks wrist watch for the time* 'Oh, how thoughtful, he's feeding the kids(the ones from the church-).'
Of course, LIKE NOT IN A MANSPLAIN WAY- you know this vibe where your partner gives this soft caring touch that you can recognize that a mother or a wife would often do? Yeah, wife material.
There is honestly not much to do besides the idea of Gabriel doing activities while being beside Flos who is doing federal paperwork- sometimes there are few times where they stop and do activities together like chess, knitting or cooking as they wait for Peter(the tiny son who would come back from college for Holidays with family-)
Gabriel in dyanthus was sometimes known as "His Grace's partner' or "Mr. Silver" by the color of his flower and how often he is seeing with their vice leader like a floating Cloud that has been fair to him. Flos doesn't pay attention to it unless is a bigger problem, since usually he is not often seeing by the oublic either unless is for significant annual events.
Gabriel being tangled with Flos in this loving bond means he gets to meet his family in a more deeper aspect, including his comrades who run the government system along side him(his cousin, his adoptive brothers, and the state leaders of his faction).🥺
Yes, it may seem awkward since they're just as skeptical as Flos when it comes to first impression and the tention in their naturally cold faces didn't help either. Of course, they slowly open up to Gabriel a bit, as their stern nature is very known for in the faction as normal too.
PDA isn't very often show, since Flos is not a public person. Yet it's not rejected whenever Gabriel starts them in public or not. He is just not use to doing that besides hand holding..... That’s the only thing he'll always do when they take a stroll together;;;
Flos may seem introvert.... I mean, he doesn't like interesting the people from the outside, doesn't mean it's the same when it comes to places and animals. So Gabriel would expect a lot of worldwide Traveling from different world once he is acknowledged as capable to go with him with no problems if he wants to. Imagining taking pictures, trying food together, and just tagging along with Flos as he takes notes of what he observes in the outside wild...
Traveling with Flos will always be about learning, and trying to find solutions. With the Pandera going on, Flos just tends to plan journey where he can test different kinds of environments that are deemed "safe to breath" for humans and immortals....
Flos wouldn't hide secrets from Gabriel. But there are forbidden things one shouldn't know unless he wants havoc to happen. (He won't lie about accidentally breaking stuff or going somewhere Gabriel obviously cannot go, ofc---) so technically, Flos does white lies 🤔
When Flos does tell the entire truth, it's sometimes good truth, and sometimes ones that do hurt... Flos wishes to give his family and his lover to have a world where wars would never happen... but there is still a long way to go. 😭😔
Dyanthus is neutral and a safe place for pacifists, but with the nation now open, there are still possibilities for a secret foreign conflict behind its back. Waiting for the right time to strike it....
But aside the angst- Flos doesn't find it difficult to express, he would just be direct and say whatever he has internal conflict of or just asking Gabriel if he wants to do something different today(because he has ideas, some days even strangely interesting /ih)
There are times is not easy said than done, you know... Flos sometimes doesn't understand something and doesn't know how to exactly address that yet. So having Gabriel bearing with him makes him feel more comfortable to take his time to learn and accept new things.
Flos isn't entirely traditional, idk about Gabriel but it seems they would have a similar idea to just accept new things when they seem efficient---
Gabriel, my crackship son-in-law(help-), expect your hubby go to Sunday church- because he is pretty catholic despite being so realistic and sometimes believe in the scientific side- Flos would love to have you sit next to him on one of them benches at the masses, is up to you if you want to or not ofc,,,🥺/lh
The fact that this crackship is French-Spanish couple brings an interesting dynamic--- I have hyperfixation on culture so imagine these two trying to share their culture, like cooking, dancing, music, customs--- there are similarities and differences they would eventually unfold themselves as they get to know each other which seems fun to do as a couple-- 🥺
They'll never be bored of each other for sure- these men are eccentric and slaying everyday fr fr✨️/srs
They would watch the barbie movie wearing pink(with Peter)- and then the next week Oppenheimer movie wearing black(with Hana)./ih
Peter would have come too for the Oppenheimer one but you know how he looks like a baby outsiders don't even know he is not a kid;;;😭/ih

hello 👋🏻 i love your ons writing so far and now I'm here to request some kissing/cuddling headcanons for Urd and Ky please.
Crash! Bang! Thudthudthudthudthud! Sounds of a 5’2 midget desperate for validation falling down the stairs. A cat screeches in the distance. I skid into the room with a cartoony sound effect, before tripping over my own two feet and falling flat on my face.
A NEW?? REQUEST?? Absolutely! I actually like writing Urd a lot more than originally I thought I would. There will come a day when I get tired of getting asks... But today is not that day!!
Urd Geales
Tumblr media
Image my lazy ass found on google- ^
💡 kisses and cuddles are strictly an in-private thing. He has a reputation to maintain! Even when it's just the two of you, he's still unlikely to initiate. Don’t try to initiate in public, he will push you away.
💡 Very slow, tender kisses. He's such a gentleman! He would never do anything that isn't ok with you. Despite not having a lot of experience, he's surprisingly well-read. His lips are very soft, even if they’re as cold as ice! They’ll warm up the more you kiss, don’t worry! (contrary to what most writers seem to think, vampires don’t radiate cold. They’re just ectothermic. Like reptiles.)
💡 His favorite kisses are quick pecks on the lips. Greeting kisses, goodbye kisses, good morning kisses, good night kisses; quick and simple is what he likes. A kiss on the cheek or forehead is also acceptable.
💡 Urd actually likes cuddles a lot more than he lets on. It's very relaxing, and heaven knows this poor vampire needs a bit of relaxing after work. He's quite literally got the weight of the world on his shoulders, and it's very fortunate that he has you to remind his workaholic ass to take it slow and rest.
💡 He doesn't really have a preference for big or little spoon, either is fine. He does, however, like when you lay on him. It doesn’t hurt him, especially if you’re tiny, it’s just like a weighted blanket. And if you’re human (which honestly is pretty unlikely with how uptight he is), he gets the added bonus of you being warm.
Ky Luc
Tumblr media
🔹🤎 Unlike Mr. High-And-Mighty Vampire King, Ky has absolutely no opposition to PDA. He'll probably give you surprise kisses or random hugs absolutely anywhere. I've said before that Ky is like a diluted Ferid.
🔹🤎 Very excited, sloppy kisses. He has no idea what he's doing, but by gosh is he trying his bestest. Definitely not as much of a gentleman as Urd, and he will let his hands wander all over your body while you kiss. You might have to slap him because he touched you somewhere you didn't want to be touched. No worries though, he won't do it again once he knows you don't like it.
🔹🤎 Did somebody say ‘The Pocky Game’?? Even though his technically-dead body can’t digest pocky, he still loves the game. And he will play it with more than just pocky. Anything decently long (or not) that has two ends for people to eat from is fair game. Spaghetti? Sure! Gummy worms? Absolutely! Twizzlers? Definitely! Literally anything will work.
🔹🤎 His favorite kisses are neck kisses. I bet you thought that would be Ferid's thing, huh? It is, but it's also Ky's thing. Ky is second only to Ferid Bathory himself when it comes to teasing, and he loves to fluster you. He'll sneak up behind you, grab you, and attack your neck with kisses. He might nibble a bit, but not full-on bite. It’s against the rules to drink directly from a human, after all, and he doesn’t want to disappoint lord Geales!
🔹🤎 Ky is the cuddliest little fuck out there. He's usually the big spoon, but he isn't opposed to being held and fussed over. He loves to just smother you with his body and wrap his arms (and legs, if he can) around you. He loves to have you on his lap, too. You won’t escape his grip. This is your fate now. You’re stuck with just letting him snuggle you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

The Bed I Rolled
Who ordered more Astarynne*?
AKA who wants to witness the girls fighting?
Fandom: Baldur's Gate 3
Pairing(s): Astarion x OFC // Astarynne (Astarion and Brynne)
CWs: Blood, injury.
I think this technically counts as hurt/comfort?
Brynne screwed her stinging eyes shut and shook her head to rid herself of the next round of blood droplets threatening to course over her brows. She panted. The stench of battle - death, fire, magic, burned feathers, sweat, decay - it choked her with each breath. Breathing through her mouth wouldn't have helped matters, she swore she could taste it all. She slowly turned and noted which parts ached instead of that odd mix of warm and cold in turn that came with open bleeding. Karlach stood in the open door of Isobel's room, amber eyes wide. Her rage ebbed. Neither of them hung up their weapons.
Wyll's voice trailed out behind Karlach, checking on Isobel - those horrible, winged creatures had tried their best to surround her. The cleric sounded wrathful.
"You okay, pinky?"
Though Dammon had fixed Karlach's touch problem, Brynne still felt the warmth of that large hand before it landed on her shoulder. Lightly. Like Karlach was still afraid she was going to hurt someone. Brynne nodded, sucking the corner of her bottom lip between her teeth. The one-armed hug she received anyway made her stomach clench.
This had been her first fight without him.
She couldn't have known about the attack earlier, when she and Astarion raised their voices at one another only a few feet away from the spot she was standing now. Karlach and Shadowheart filled the cobwebbed, creaky mezzanine with unease and impatience. And Brynne had every right to be angry!
"I thought we were on the same page!" she had shouted, already on-edge from the curse surrounding the inn. "We agreed, we don't make deals with Raphael! You were very clear about that last time!"
"That was before I knew it wasn't bloody poetry carved into my flesh." He gave her that glare he used to flash when they first met, the one of disdain and disgust that came from the upper echelons of a city looking down on someone whose blood wasn't quite so blue or rich. Only this time, she recognized it for the wall it was. It hurt that much more. "I'm not sure who popped off this mortal coil and made you leader, but I certainly didn't give you authority over my choices!"
An empty beer mug had come flying over the railing from the bar below, shattering on the ground between them. Jaheira shouted at them to take it outside before she chose not to miss again.
The balcony hadn't made it better. They just… kept going. Brynne, dressing him down for offering himself up on a silver platter to a devil without knowing what he'd have to pay. Astarion, insisting that her solution of asking either Karlach or one of the myriad tieflings at the inn to translate his scars was the worse option. If the markings were, as he suspected, a note of bondage, then Raphael may help him out of it. What good would it do him to be free of one master if it placed him on the chain of another?
Something snapped. Brynne turned from him. She wanted to leave and she wanted to go now. Without Astarion. Without thinking, she jumped from the balcony to the cobblestones below, aiming for and missing a haybale. Cracking her knee felt like a fair trade-off. The next thing she knew, Karlach had jumped down and jogged after her.
No matter how much comfort Karlach offered, Brynne wouldn't talk about it. No, that wasn't it. She couldn't. Fear gripped her heart so tightly that she could hardly breathe, let alone form the words for it. Raphael's eyes when he looked on anyone from their party reminded her too much of hungry human men meeting elven women for the first time. Hungry. Not for their bodies, in Raphael's case, but for so much more. Karlach validated her feelings, tried to assuage her anger, and nothing worked. Brynne kept walking.
In her heart, she knew she needed to cool off, but she overcorrected. Ice formed a barrier around her when they found the door to the inn's cellar and went exploring. She stayed silent and let Karlach take the lead. Smashing crumbling walls, directing Astarion to pick locks. It wasn't until they found a strange, underground grotto filled with meenlocks that she pulled ahead. Crouching on a high ledge, she pulled the party into battle with a well-aimed bottle of alchemist's fire. She hadn't realized how offended the meenlocks would be by the gesture and soon found herself surrounded by the teleporting crab-things. Thunderwave. Push them. More took their place. They slashed at her with their claws, paralyzed her with their twisted magic. Frozen in place, she heard another set of boots clamber up on the rock formation behind her.
But after the meenlocks lay dead in smoldering heaps on the ground, neither adventurer spoke to one another. They were still hanging on to too much resentment. The other needed to offer an apology first, of course.
"This is my dinner, you filthy little Blidbdoolpoolpspawn! Back off!"
Thank the gods for the paralysis because Brynne would have forgotten to be angry with him and laughed at his flawless pronunciation of the kuo-toa goddess. In spite of his phrasing… she knew. And it helped her buck the hex holding her hostage.
It came to a head when they returned to camp and Brynne asked Astarion to stay behind. She hadn't thought anything of it, only that Wyll wanted to speak to Mol and he and Gale both needed new gear from Dammon, anyway. But Astarion looked gobsmacked. Then, of course, as if he didn't care. He went back to his book and waved her off without a second look.
They would make up later when the party returned to camp, the fire roared, and the wine came out. After all, a little thing like an argument wouldn't keep him from feeding when she'd already offered.
Divine Melira so loved to laugh at her bards.
It felt as if Marcus attacked the moment they were apart.
She didn't know how Wyll liked to fight, or how to coordinate spells with Gale. They all stepped on one another's toes. Or, at least, Gale and Brynne did. Unaccustomed still to his new infernal body, Wyll either missed or hit one of his teammates. Isobel was particularly unhappy with being on the receiving end of a Wounding Ray and Karlach yelled at him when he accidentally caught her with a whip. Meanwhile, the other magic users kept accidentally surrounding themselves in clouds of daggers and fire.
Astarion had fought with her so long at this point that it felt as easy as a lyre chord. They stalked their prey like jungle cats, hidden in the shadows, hand signals and mouthed words in perfect harmony. Like the Zhentarim hideout heist. The githyanki stashes. The druids' treasures. She distracted, he disarmed. Brynne even managed to impress him with her own slight-of-hand once or twice.
Now he wasn't here. Even with Karlach, she felt… exposed.
Somehow, they managed to make it out alive. Between the healing spells Brynne kept hurling around (one of Shadowheart's usual jobs) and Karlach making it her personal business to fell Marcus, the entire inn had but one casualty and one person carried off by a demon. Generally, a success. But it didn't feel right.
The world tipped off-balance and the blood dripping from the brim of Brynne's hat to the tip of her nose brought her back to the present moment. She looked up from her thoughts and saw her party watching. Ever-concerned.
Gods. She'd become one of her own awful love songs. Her heart ached, wounded, vulnerable, for the one she'd left behind.
So when they trudged once more back to camp, injured and filthy and exhausted, Brynne let her feet carry her the familiar path to that overly fancy tent where Astarion stood, still reading. His eyes gazed impassively at her. Bored. Uncaring. False.
"You look like you had fun, darling," he drawled. "Why the long fa-?"
Brynne flung her arms around him so hard that she knocked the book out of his hands and her hat off of her head. He hesitated. Then he hugged her back even harder.

Hey, another Leo escaped the prison dimension differently fanfic.
Don't know if I'll ever be able to finish anything again, but I still want to share this.
Fair warning: it is angst, last chance, injuries and some humor. If you see any more things let me know.
I neither have a name for this yet, nor do I want to post the working title since it's a bit of a spoiler. Let's call it:
‐--------
Leonardo the Blue turtle - intro
Leonardo couldn't take it anymore, realistically he knew,  He couldn't expect his brother's to break the laws of physics and save him from another dimension.
Still his broken mind and shattered body would not accept the fact he had probably been trapped here for days.
The krang had beaten him up good but faced with the choice to end him the monster did decide not to. Not out of mercy, leonardo was sure.
The turtles shell was broken as were his legs and one arm,  but he was still breathing and defying death,  cause yeah not gonna make it that easy.
He never did anything the easy way, never seemed to learn, so why would he now?
In a better world his brothers probably already saved him and he could complain about the fact they ended up in jersey, but right now he didn't see that happening.
Looking at the photo he was still clutching in his less injured hand he was hit with a wave of melancholy,  the sort that came with the idea of "at least they're save now." Before he sighed and pushed it down.
He had been throwing himself a pity party long enough. Had been waiting for his brothers to save him long enough.
They couldn't blame him anymore if he waited long enough and decided to try to break himself free or die trying.
Which, honestly, both sounded better than to keep on rotting and wallowing in self pity,  since death also seemed too busy to get him in the next decade or so.
So either Leo got out or death would be forced to reschedule for him.  Leo refused to Die out of boredom and pain, thank you very much.
Looking over to where he had spotted his sword had ended up, Leo looked around one more time. If krang was still lurking somewhere, he didn't hear or see him.
Sucker would probably wait for him to crawl over to his sword before tearing him a new one anyway, plus Leo wasn't gonna wait anymore.
Stashing away the photo Leo began to crawl over to his sword using mostly one arm and the parts of his limbs that weren't broken.
He had managed to splint his legs with his sword sheaths but it was a temporary job anyways and in a few moments this probably wouldn't matter anymore anyway, cause he intended to really give it everything he got.
He was the portal guy,  so technically this should get him out of here,  right?
Nevermind.
He was feeling eyes on him now,  but he wasn't squashed in the dirt yet so let the krang get some entertainment out of this,  Leo didn't care. Sounds of agony he released weren't only for show, simply more exaggerated than probably necessary,  cause the real agony for Leo was waiting or the idea he wouldn't get back to his brothers.
But let the krang think he wants his sword for self protection or to soothe himself or some bull. Leo had been hyping himself up and gathering energy as long as his patience would let him and as soon as he could touch his sword he was out of here, one way or another.
Taking a small break to breathe Leo briefly wondered if he'll end up with his ancestors if it didn't work and if they would scold him.
Thinking back to granny karai, he didn't hate the idea seeing her again.
Still he grit his teeth, eyes on the prize he pushed on.
The "eyes" He felt boring into him brought on an uncomfortable tense atmosphere and he didn't want to wait for krang to lose his patience.
Feeling a shift in his surroundings he swore he felt the moment the krang leapt towards him.  Taking one last leap himself he channeled all his energy into his sword at first touch.  The effort and closeness of krang making him give off one last scream as he felt himself disintegrate.
The painful feeling of being taken apart not overshadowing the smug satisfaction he had as he could still see krang grabbing onto nothing as he faded out of this dimension.
Leo shot the raging krang one last smug grin before being gone.
In reality the time that passed while he faded was probably just a split second but Leo swears he could observe the krang trying to grab him just mere milliseconds before Leo reached his sword and got away in slow motion. This was most likely just the adrenaline and his senses being sent into overdrive just to be able to live out his potential last moments as much as he could. Now Leo couldn't deny the satisfaction of having gotten away, the outcome be damned. The krang did not get to control Leos life,  death or emotions anymore. Screw you, spit out bubblegum face.
Even still,  a small part of the sliders brain couldn't help but wonder what would be next as soon as that all consuming white would be gone.
Huh,  he'll just have to wait and see.
With that thought the white light overtook all his senses and with the feeling of his body completely lost he gave in.
